The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1255 - Bud Light Really Did This For Pride Month

00:00:00.180 According to news reports, Black Lives Matter is going bankrupt.

00:00:05.100 Despite having raised a whopping $90 million in just one year,

00:00:10.000 following the death of George Floyd, BLM is now reportedly $8.5 million in the hole

00:00:14.900 and might have to shutter operations.

00:00:17.560 Which sounds great, except like so many news stories, it isn't true.

00:00:24.440 The numbers are all true, but the story is not true.

00:00:28.500 BLM is not going bankrupt.

00:00:31.320 It's just distributed all the money.

00:00:34.900 The founders got their mansions, the cronies got their payouts,

00:00:38.780 the operatives milked corporate America for a ton of cash,

00:00:41.960 and now it's likely to close up shop, which gives BLM the added benefit

00:00:46.540 of closing its crooked books and reducing the scrutiny that it's currently under.

00:00:51.660 Black Lives Matter was never an institution for the long haul.

00:00:55.780 It was always just an opportunistic shakedown racket,

00:00:59.540 which has now dispersed its bribes to its network of gangsters

00:01:02.800 and is now poised to disappear.

00:01:05.320 Just in time for the operatives to spin up a new scam

00:01:09.260 to score cash for scaring citizens as we head into the next presidential election.

00:01:16.060 Right on time.

00:01:17.440 The more things change, the more they stay the same.

00:01:20.640 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:01:21.360 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:22.360 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:31.960 We are moving into a brave new world.

00:01:35.760 And actually, there's a video going around from the Kardashians.

00:01:41.460 I've never watched an episode of The Kardashians Show,

00:01:44.920 but Khloe Kardashian gives a really important perspective on surrogacy,

00:01:52.540 pregnancy and surrogacy that is frankly, it's more perceptive than even many pro-lifers have

00:01:58.540 talked about.

00:01:58.940 So we'll get to that in just a second.

00:02:00.100 First though, speaking of these payoffs, Bud Light, poor Bud Light down, what is it?

00:02:09.140 15 bill in market cap right now, Bud Light apparently still has not learned its lesson.

00:02:18.340 Because Bud Light, according to reports, is still going to sponsor three pride events.

00:02:27.920 Daily Wire reported on this yesterday.

00:02:30.880 Bud Light is listed as the sponsor of the Cincinnati Pride Parade,

00:02:34.580 Planned Parenthood and the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, which trans as little kids are both

00:02:39.320 also listed for that one.

00:02:40.800 In St. Louis, where Transheiser Bush is headquartered, they are a presenting sponsor,

00:02:47.660 the presenting sponsor of the St. Louis Pride Parade.

00:02:51.440 The rainbow sponsorship tier, which is below the presenting sponsor tier,

00:02:56.020 requires 25 grand in donations to the LGBT LMNOP Gestapo.

00:03:03.600 So who knows how much Transheiser Bush is paying there. 0.78

00:03:06.300 And then they're also listed as a diamond sponsor of Stonewall Columbus,

00:03:09.900 which organizes and hosts the annual Columbus, Ohio Pride Parade.

00:03:16.820 It's not an accident.

00:03:18.340 It's not an oopsie daisy.

00:03:19.640 It's not some rogue VP of marketing named Alyssa, whatever her name is, going rogue.

00:03:24.320 And don't worry, we've put her on leave.

00:03:26.600 So you normal people who don't want us to trans your kids, you can buy Bud Light again. 0.99

00:03:32.320 No, this was a decision made from the top.

00:03:36.440 Not just the top of Bud Light, the top of Transheiser Bush, the top of AB InBev.

00:03:42.320 Because we know, I had a long Twitter thread about this the other day,

00:03:45.800 that AB InBev is totally on board with ESG and with GARM

00:03:49.980 and with all of the global multi-industry standards that say that these companies are going to back

00:03:57.480 the pride movement and transgenderism and all the other sexual radicalism.

00:04:03.840 In a way, I feel bad for this marketing executive, Alyssa Hershenfeld or something like that.

00:04:08.620 Because she took the fall for an issue that was obviously directed from the top down. 0.99

00:04:14.460 And so they haven't learned their lesson, which means that conservatives need to keep up the pressure.

00:04:21.760 This is working.

00:04:23.520 We have seriously damaged Bud Light.

00:04:27.320 We may have destroyed Bud Light permanently as the best-selling beer in America.

00:04:32.200 You're seeing this a little bit now with Target.

00:04:35.220 Target is getting slammed.

00:04:36.520 They're also losing a ton of money right now because Target decided to sell satanic-designed 0.72

00:04:43.660 transgender bathing suits where you can tuck men's body parts into women's bathing suits, 0.81

00:04:52.800 pride merch for children, all sorts of stuff.

00:04:55.820 So conservatives are saying, okay, we're not shopping at Target anymore.

00:04:58.100 This is really damaging them.

00:04:59.700 This is the most momentum I've ever seen conservatives have heading into Pride Month.

00:05:07.280 And so we've got to keep up the pressure.

00:05:09.580 Matt articulated this very well the other day, but it's been a motivation and a goal

00:05:15.920 that we've been talking about for some months now, which is we need to make that rainbow flag

00:05:22.200 absolutely toxic in corporate America and among politicians.

00:05:27.860 It has to be toxic.

00:05:29.720 The pride flag is at least as offensive to me as any other flag on earth. 0.63

00:05:37.440 It's not even just about the weird sex stuff.

00:05:40.740 Pride is the symbol of the deadliest of the seven deadly sins.

00:05:44.040 It is the queen of all vices.

00:05:45.740 It is the sin that made Satan fall like lightning from heaven and kicked Adam and Eve out of the

00:05:50.300 Garden of Eden.

00:05:51.120 It is just pure evil, okay?

00:05:53.360 If you live your life according to pride and all of the subsidiary sins and vices that go along with

00:06:01.240 that, you're not going to flourish.

00:06:03.180 You're not going to have a good life.

00:06:04.360 And a society that exalts pride above every virtue, that makes a virtue out of the deadliest of the

00:06:11.320 seven deadly sins, is not going to be a good society.

00:06:13.320 And so any establishment that is flying that flag out its window, you should not frequent that

00:06:18.940 establishment.

00:06:19.940 Any politician who waves the pride flag as a matter of his campaign, you should not vote for that 1.00

00:06:24.540 politician.

00:06:25.280 You should not donate a penny to that politician.

00:06:27.260 I know that I'm preaching to the choir, but we need a little bit of encouragement here, I think,

00:06:31.520 because a lot of people thought, well, we can't boycott every company.

00:06:34.820 And sure, you can't boycott every company, but you can target, you can seriously damage the profit

00:06:41.100 margins of companies that are embracing this stuff in a particular way.

00:06:44.220 We've done it.

00:06:44.880 A lot of people thought it wasn't possible, and then Bud Light lost a ton of market cap.

00:06:50.340 And then Target is in shambles and is scrambling to make sense of this.

00:06:55.960 The LGBT movement went too far over the past few years when they've tried to trans the kids. 1.00

00:07:02.320 Public opinion is overwhelmingly on our side.

00:07:05.220 We still have a decent amount of economic power.

00:07:07.480 The political class, at least in some corners of the right, is finally following suit.

00:07:11.780 Keep up that pressure.

00:07:12.980 That pride flag should be understood by everybody in this culture as being absolutely political poison. 1.00

00:07:22.180 The people who fly that flag in politics and corporate America should be made anathema.

00:07:27.640 We've got to talk to each other about it.

00:07:29.260 When you want to talk to each other, you've got to check out Pure Talk.

00:07:50.480 When you switch to Pure Talk's unlimited talk and text data plan that comes with a mobile hotspot, you will get a 5G Samsung Galaxy for free.

00:08:38.680 Speaking of the LGBT movement, I have seen the most disgusting story and most disturbing story that I have seen in at least a week. 1.00

00:08:45.900 I don't know.

00:08:46.700 At least this week.

00:08:48.620 We touched on it a little bit earlier.

00:08:50.680 Now more information is coming out.

00:08:51.720 This is from the post-millennial.

00:08:53.320 A transgender mother appears to feed a newborn baby with a milky substance that he claims were secreted from his pecs, I don't know, from his chest, after injecting himself with a bunch of hormones. 1.00

00:09:10.400 This trans TikTok user who calls himself Naomi.

00:09:13.740 We played the clip earlier this week of him saying, I have taken enough poison that I can now secrete some kind of fluid from my chest, and that makes me feel that I'm a real woman because I feel like I'm producing milk.

00:09:28.160 Now this man has also come into possession of a baby, which is extremely disturbing.

00:09:34.900 And then this guy posted images of him feeding whatever substance he has produced to this baby in a bottle.

00:09:45.560 Very, very, very disturbing.

00:09:49.480 This man who, I don't know what his real name is.

00:09:51.480 He calls himself Naomi.

00:09:52.600 He referred to this as a cow achievement, that he's been able to produce some substance that simulates milk.

00:10:00.700 And he's very pleased that he's now a mother, in his own words.

00:10:06.840 He calls this queer joy.

00:10:08.720 My political ideology is whatever can stop this.

00:10:18.640 That's my, I know that we've had a lot of political realignments in recent years.

00:10:22.380 We talk about the shifting grounds, because politics always is principles applied to changing circumstances.

00:10:30.080 Okay, whatever, my team is whatever stops this.

00:10:33.820 Okay?

00:10:34.040 Okay, now the transgender movement is claiming that there's nothing wrong with this at all. 1.00

00:10:41.720 And what they're claiming is that men, at least in theory, could produce milk.

00:10:48.500 Men have at least a small amount of all of the tissue that is required to produce milk.

00:10:53.460 And so if you inject a man with enough hormones, enough synthetic chemicals and poison,

00:10:59.940 he can trick his body into thinking that he's a woman at least to some degree,

00:11:03.300 and he can produce a substance that at least resembles milk.

00:11:06.640 And even though the scientific authorities have in no way signed off on the safety of this substance

00:11:12.720 and have urged caution and said, no, this should not be given out to children,

00:11:16.280 we can at least kind of pretend that it's milk.

00:11:20.140 Don't you know?

00:11:21.360 Don't you know, you troglodyte conservatives, that men actually can lactate? 0.98

00:11:26.460 Yeah, sure, we got to inject them with a ton of poison to make that happen. 0.99

00:11:29.260 But don't you know?

00:11:30.260 It can happen.

00:11:30.920 You guys clearly, you didn't take your science class.

00:11:33.220 Okay.

00:11:34.360 Okay.

00:11:35.840 Let's say that whatever milk-like substance is produced by this man injecting himself with hormones,

00:11:43.640 let's say that it were basically considered safe for babies.

00:11:50.240 Let's say that.

00:11:50.980 We don't have a reason to believe that now, but let's say in the future we do figure that out.

00:11:54.240 Even still, looking at that picture of, and if you're just listening to this show, you're lucky.

00:12:02.900 But for those of you who are looking at this guy, this guy with the purple wig on who's mutilated his body,

00:12:11.260 and then he's holding this baby, he's allowed to be in possession of this baby,

00:12:15.140 and then he's feeding this baby this weird stuff that's come out of his chest.

00:12:18.600 First, we all know there's something wrong with that.

00:12:24.260 We all know, including and especially the transgender movement.

00:12:28.720 They all know there's something wrong.

00:12:30.320 That's, they have mirrors, okay?

00:12:32.500 They have, even though they have defects of perception, they know.

00:12:38.400 We all know, okay?

00:12:39.800 And this is an important lesson in politics.

00:12:45.520 We have been told to eradicate every last prejudice that we've ever had by the political left.

00:12:51.340 Now, of course, the political left then just reinserts a whole bunch of new premises that are,

00:12:55.440 a whole bunch of new prejudices, rather, that are far less rational than the other ones.

00:13:00.020 But the whole project of modernity tells us that we need to be able to write a perfectly rational treatise

00:13:06.900 for every single thing that we do.

00:13:08.220 But, of course, no one can operate that way.

00:13:09.780 You can't wake up in the morning and say, hey, should I have a shot of espresso or a latte or a cup of drip coffee?

00:13:16.840 Hmm, I don't know.

00:13:17.580 Let me examine all of the pros and cons for each.

00:13:20.880 Let me write a long essay on which type of coffee is the best.

00:13:26.480 Let me see, should I have dark roast or blonde roast?

00:13:29.680 Well, let me, you would never get out of bed.

00:13:32.480 Should I use this toothpaste or that toothpaste?

00:13:34.420 Let me rationally analyze and give the perfect rational arguments for all of them.

00:13:38.000 No, we operate very often on instinct.

00:13:43.980 We operate on tradition.

00:13:46.020 We operate by habit.

00:13:47.280 We operate by prejudice.

00:13:48.640 Prejudice is a good thing. 1.00

00:13:50.000 There can be unjust prejudices.

00:13:51.940 And so you want to make sure that you're using your reason and your will in a way that will give you a flourishing life in society.

00:13:59.840 But we need prejudice.

00:14:01.980 Prejudice is not necessarily a bad word. 0.99

00:14:04.740 In fact, most of the time, it's a very, very good word.

00:14:07.260 Because we just make judgments based on all sorts of reason, including something that the ethicist Leon Cass articulated very well, which is the wisdom of repugnance.

00:14:19.800 We look at that man who's done all sorts of nasty things to his body and has come into possession of a child in some way.

00:14:27.840 And is injecting himself with all sorts of chemicals and is recklessly endangering this child by giving the child untested fluid that makes him feel like he's more of a woman, which he is not, but might be very, very harmful for the child.

00:14:45.000 We just don't really know.

00:14:45.900 And we just know, without having to write any rational essay, that that is wrong and should be discouraged and obviously should be banned by law.

00:14:58.040 We all know it, and it's not a bad thing to say it.

00:15:02.060 You think the brave new world is in the future.

00:15:04.860 That's what I thought.

00:15:05.900 I thought the brave new world, oh, in the future, things are going to get really bad, that we're going to start living in a dystopia.

00:15:13.380 The future is already kind of here.

00:15:15.900 Isn't it?

00:15:16.700 That's already happening. 0.71

00:15:17.420 And maybe that's one eccentric weirdo guy.

00:15:20.380 And maybe we're seeing reports.

00:15:22.540 This is a really disturbing report.

00:15:25.660 100% lab-grown babies in five years.

00:15:29.360 This is out of The Guardian.

00:15:31.120 Japanese researchers are on the cusp of creating human eggs and sperm that can be grown in a fake womb. 0.75

00:15:37.660 Producing human sperm and eggs in the lab is known as in vitro gametogenesis.

00:15:42.140 It's already been achieved in mice.

00:15:43.500 Scientists say it's possible in humans in five years.

00:15:47.500 Meaning that you could take any kind of cell from any kind of people.

00:15:52.260 You take a skin cell from two dudes and create a baby.

00:15:54.780 And then have, through this artificial synthetic sperm and egg, make a baby who, in some cases, would have no parents.

00:16:05.760 Meaning, yes, maybe you get two dudes or two chicks or one dude and who knows, coming in and using some of their cells to do it. 1.00

00:16:13.080 Or you just make the baby on a computer.

00:16:17.260 You say, okay, this is the kind of sperm we're going to have.

00:16:18.740 This is the kind of egg we're going to have.

00:16:19.780 And you make a baby that doesn't have parents.

00:16:21.900 And this is being heralded as an exciting new breakthrough.

00:16:25.700 We're right on the cusp, five years away.

00:16:29.140 In other words, the headline is,

00:16:32.660 Scientists so excited, scientists looking forward to producing a human being

00:16:38.220 with the intention of depriving that human being of a mother and a father

00:16:42.500 for no other reason than to satisfy their own morbid curiosity and to make themselves into gods.

00:16:48.540 And we're supposed to celebrate this.

00:16:52.340 Since modernity kicked in,

00:16:55.620 after the scientific revolution,

00:16:57.780 after the enlightenment,

00:16:59.420 there have been a lot of technological advancements.

00:17:03.080 But there's been a complete collapse

00:17:04.920 in ethics,

00:17:07.320 theology, morality, and philosophy.

00:17:09.320 There's been a collapse.

00:17:10.160 We don't know anything anymore.

00:17:11.120 We don't know who we are.

00:17:11.780 We don't know what a man is.

00:17:12.540 We don't know what a woman is. 1.00

00:17:13.880 And that's a very dangerous combination.

00:17:16.180 That's very, very toxic.

00:17:18.480 Because we end up in Jurassic Park.

00:17:21.680 Jurassic Park is, in fact,

00:17:23.620 in many ways about this problem.

00:17:26.400 It's also about big, scary dinosaurs running around.

00:17:28.320 But it's in many ways about this problem.

00:17:30.000 That's the deeper message.

00:17:31.160 Which is,

00:17:32.020 what will happen in society

00:17:33.980 if we achieve technical knowledge

00:17:36.860 such that we can do

00:17:38.420 the sorts of things we've never been able to do before

00:17:41.140 but we lose the moral and philosophical

00:17:46.840 and theological wisdom

00:17:49.080 to understand when we shouldn't do certain things.

00:17:52.860 And it's not just off in the future.

00:17:54.480 This kind of stuff is happening right now.

00:17:57.120 I've got to start watching the Kardashian show, I guess.

00:17:59.540 The only reality show I've ever really liked

00:18:01.140 is Jersey Shore

00:18:01.880 because I just know those people.

00:18:04.360 I grew up with those kind of people.

00:18:05.440 And I've got to start watching the Kardashian show.

00:18:08.320 This was one of the most serious and nuanced discussions

00:18:11.920 of the issue of surrogacy

00:18:14.560 that I've seen anywhere on television.

00:18:17.300 And a claim from Khloe Kardashian.

00:18:20.600 Do you feel less connected?

00:18:23.260 Mm-hmm.

00:18:23.780 This is not easy.

00:18:25.140 I definitely buried my head in the sand

00:18:27.080 during that pregnancy

00:18:28.260 that I didn't digest what was happening.

00:18:30.680 And so I think when I went to the hospital,

00:18:33.060 I really think that was the first time

00:18:34.740 that really registered.

00:18:36.420 And it has nothing to do with the baby.

00:18:38.520 It's just, you're like,

00:18:39.800 okay, we're having a baby.

00:18:41.220 And this is my son

00:18:42.520 and I'm taking him home with me.

00:18:44.400 I definitely was in a state of shock, I think,

00:18:47.180 from my entire experience in general.

00:18:51.760 Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, stop, don't stop.

00:18:54.200 I felt really guilty that, like,

00:18:55.900 this woman just had my baby 1.00

00:18:58.240 and you're just, I take the baby

00:19:00.260 and then I go to another room

00:19:01.560 and you're sort of separated.

00:19:02.720 Like, I felt it's such a transactional experience

00:19:06.660 because it's not about him.

00:19:08.720 Come on here.

00:19:09.740 Come on, come on. 0.99

00:19:11.600 I wish someone was honest about surrogacy

00:19:14.280 and the difference of it.

00:19:17.360 But it doesn't mean it's bad or good.

00:19:19.460 It's still great.

00:19:21.400 Okay, and there it is right at the end.

00:19:24.380 That's the required endorsement

00:19:28.640 of the sexual revolution

00:19:30.180 and all this progressive insanity.

00:19:33.020 But the entire segment,

00:19:35.400 the whole argument,

00:19:37.220 says, no, surrogacy is obviously terrible.

00:19:39.840 There's obviously something deeply wrong with this.

00:19:42.340 And here's why.

00:19:43.840 And here's how I felt it

00:19:44.800 and here's how I bet the surrogate mother felt it

00:19:46.380 and here's why it's so wrong for the baby

00:19:47.980 because procreation is supposed to be

00:19:50.300 about the baby.

00:19:50.980 The only person to be said

00:19:52.320 to have any real rights in that

00:19:53.800 is the baby, is not us.

00:19:55.860 But I've had trouble connecting with my child now

00:19:58.020 as a result of this.

00:19:58.880 I feel like I just discarded this woman. 1.00

00:20:00.700 I just rented this poor woman's womb 1.00

00:20:02.120 and then I throw her out 1.00

00:20:02.920 and I take the baby.

00:20:03.900 It didn't occur to me

00:20:04.860 that the natural process of pregnancy

00:20:06.960 would get me prepared

00:20:08.580 physically and mentally

00:20:10.300 and spiritually to have a baby.

00:20:11.640 I didn't have any of that.

00:20:12.360 I just drove to the hospital one day.

00:20:13.580 I just realized, oh my goodness,

00:20:14.480 I'm having a baby.

00:20:15.100 And it's been so, so hard.

00:20:16.560 And I wish people were honest

00:20:17.600 about how terrible surrogacy is.

00:20:19.820 But I mean, it's great though.

00:20:21.900 No, but it's really, it's great though.

00:20:24.260 I know I have to say that

00:20:25.480 because I'm a mainstream figure on television.

00:20:28.300 But it's not.

00:20:30.720 It's not great.

00:20:32.260 It's obviously wrong.

00:20:33.980 And I see why people

00:20:35.240 have been tempted to do it.

00:20:38.540 I see why all sorts of temptations exist.

00:20:44.320 People are tempted

00:20:45.040 toward things that are bad

00:20:47.000 because it seems like

00:20:49.240 there's some goodness there

00:20:50.200 or because they feel

00:20:51.200 a little bit desperate

00:20:52.040 or because they're constrained

00:20:53.780 in their lives.

00:20:54.420 And so I get it.

00:20:55.160 I understand the temptation

00:20:56.120 to surrogacy.

00:20:58.280 But good ends,

00:21:00.140 the good end of having a baby,

00:21:02.220 do not justify immoral means.

00:21:05.800 And when we engage in immoral means,

00:21:07.160 I mean, you see this

00:21:07.840 throughout the Old Testament.

00:21:09.620 Some of the greatest figures

00:21:10.500 in the Old Testament

00:21:11.200 start to cut corners

00:21:12.960 and start to fall into temptations

00:21:14.820 and start to say,

00:21:16.320 oh, well, I can't have a child

00:21:17.420 with my wife

00:21:17.900 or I'm going to have a child

00:21:18.600 with her handmaid.

00:21:20.140 Or, okay, I can't get this victory

00:21:23.160 that I want.

00:21:23.600 Okay, I'm going to cut a corner over here.

00:21:25.380 And it never works out.

00:21:26.800 Things begin to spiral out of control.

00:21:28.760 We are simply not smart enough

00:21:30.680 to be able to account

00:21:31.860 for all of the externalities,

00:21:33.540 to account for all of the unintended

00:21:35.200 consequences of these sorts of things.

00:21:36.860 We think we are.

00:21:37.900 We flatter ourselves

00:21:38.700 in rationalist modernity

00:21:39.960 that we can reason through

00:21:41.620 every single little thing.

00:21:42.780 In fact, we're far less capable

00:21:43.920 of reasoning through

00:21:44.720 all of these consequences

00:21:46.020 than human beings were

00:21:47.160 even 400 or 500 years ago.

00:21:48.940 We don't possess

00:21:50.280 even the sophistication

00:21:51.480 that people had then.

00:21:52.960 And then they had

00:21:53.600 a much healthier dose of humility

00:21:55.140 and recognized that

00:21:57.360 it might seem fine

00:21:59.660 on a sheet of paper

00:22:00.240 to say, okay,

00:22:00.700 I'm going to rent

00:22:01.800 this poor woman's womb. 1.00

00:22:02.960 She's going to deal

00:22:03.520 with all the difficult

00:22:04.300 parts of pregnancy.

00:22:05.020 And then I'm going to go

00:22:05.600 pick up my baby

00:22:06.220 at the baby store.

00:22:06.960 But gosh,

00:22:08.140 it just seems so transactional.

00:22:09.920 And isn't there something

00:22:10.700 deeper to human life

00:22:11.980 than mere transaction?

00:22:14.060 Modernity, liberalism

00:22:15.220 tells us

00:22:16.220 that we're all basically

00:22:17.740 just consumers.

00:22:18.600 We're all just economic creatures

00:22:19.800 in a marketplace.

00:22:20.760 And I pay you for this

00:22:21.880 and you give me

00:22:22.440 that good and service

00:22:23.280 and the left believes that.

00:22:24.440 And even the right,

00:22:25.480 large swaths of the right

00:22:26.500 believe that.

00:22:27.060 But it's not true.

00:22:27.980 You can't just

00:22:29.020 make every aspect

00:22:32.020 of our lives

00:22:32.620 into some economic transaction.

00:22:34.120 This is what the great

00:22:35.100 conservative Edmund Burke

00:22:36.040 warned about

00:22:36.520 when he warned of the

00:22:37.680 economists,

00:22:38.500 sophisters,

00:22:38.960 and calculators

00:22:39.620 who had taken over

00:22:40.600 the world.

00:22:41.720 These are not merely

00:22:42.880 economic transactions,

00:22:44.500 especially when we're

00:22:45.360 talking about the

00:22:45.820 relationship between

00:22:46.980 a mother and her child.

00:22:49.940 Listen to Khloe Kardashian.

00:22:52.140 She makes a good argument.

00:22:54.980 As things are falling apart.

00:22:55.820 By the way, folks,

00:22:57.560 we are going to need

00:22:59.480 to prepare for

00:23:00.900 what could come.

00:24:02.700 Head on over there

00:24:03.320 right now.

00:24:05.360 With Father's Day

00:24:06.260 coming up,

00:24:07.200 I've been thinking

00:24:07.700 about how grateful

00:24:08.300 I am that my father

00:24:09.580 did not become a woman.

00:24:10.980 For all of his

00:24:11.600 many accomplishments,

00:24:12.600 the greatest accomplishment

00:24:13.640 might be that he

00:24:15.380 gave me my life,

00:24:16.380 at least from my perspective,

00:24:17.700 and he couldn't have

00:24:18.360 done that if he

00:24:19.020 had become a chick.

00:24:19.880 Without him,

00:24:20.480 I wouldn't be here.

00:24:22.300 While that might be

00:24:22.920 a strange thing to say,

00:24:23.760 we live in strange times,

00:24:24.700 so we shouldn't take

00:24:25.340 the simplest gifts

00:24:26.000 for granted.

00:24:26.600 Show your appreciation

00:24:27.380 and gratitude

00:24:27.820 for your dad,

00:24:28.780 making the bold choice

00:24:29.700 to remain the gender 0.99

00:24:31.320 that he was assigned

00:24:32.400 at birth with a gift

00:24:33.720 from Jeremy's Razors.

00:24:35.000 Right now,

00:24:35.880 they have a 30% off sale

00:24:37.080 on select bundles

00:24:37.860 and razor starter kits.

00:24:39.240 They're 100% woke free

00:24:40.400 and unashamed

00:24:41.080 to celebrate manliness.

00:24:43.400 So this Father's Day,

00:24:44.420 do not just give him

00:24:45.580 any gift.

00:24:46.400 Give him Jeremy's Razors,

00:24:47.580 the gift that says,

00:24:48.440 thank you, Dad,

00:24:48.880 for being and staying

00:24:50.220 a man.

00:24:51.360 Thank you for manzitioning.

00:24:53.280 Go to jeremysrazors.com today

00:24:55.020 to take 30% off

00:24:56.680 our razors

00:24:57.440 and not 100% 0.99

00:24:58.720 off your genitals. 0.99

00:25:01.780 That line still gets me 1.00

00:25:03.220 when I read it

00:25:03.840 and whoever the copywriter is

00:25:05.140 certainly deserves

00:25:06.460 a raise.

00:25:08.040 Speaking of technology,

00:25:09.800 we're seeing election

00:25:10.660 interference from big tech

00:25:11.800 already

00:25:12.320 and it's not Trump

00:25:14.620 getting kicked off Twitter

00:25:15.540 and it's not DeSantis

00:25:16.340 getting kicked off YouTube

00:25:17.320 or something.

00:25:17.940 It is my friend

00:25:19.480 Vivek Ramaswamy

00:25:21.240 being kicked off of

00:25:23.480 LinkedIn,

00:25:25.100 which is,

00:25:26.000 I have to say,

00:25:27.620 the most

00:25:28.440 Vivek social network

00:25:31.080 to be kicked off of.

00:25:32.140 That is so,

00:25:33.420 I've mentioned that

00:25:34.500 Vivek and I

00:25:35.960 know each other

00:25:36.940 from college.

00:25:37.700 I was an undergraduate

00:25:38.440 when he was at the law school.

00:25:40.000 We were in similar

00:25:40.800 kind of clubs

00:25:41.360 and organizations

00:25:42.000 to one another.

00:25:43.240 And so,

00:25:45.680 at the time,

00:25:47.020 we didn't know each other

00:25:48.280 very well during college,

00:25:49.640 but he had a reputation

00:25:51.180 as being just very

00:25:52.600 type A,

00:25:53.680 very meticulous,

00:25:54.400 very, very intelligent,

00:25:55.500 very serious

00:25:56.120 and ambitious

00:25:56.620 and successful

00:25:57.260 and he obviously

00:25:58.300 has proven that.

00:25:59.400 He sold a company

00:26:00.440 for a ton of money.

00:26:01.980 He attended

00:26:03.980 the top law school

00:26:04.720 in the country,

00:26:05.540 at least when he was there.

00:26:06.300 It seems to have gone downhill

00:26:07.100 since then.

00:26:08.240 And now he's running

00:26:09.980 for president.

00:26:10.600 He's a best-selling author.

00:26:11.640 Very impressive guy.

00:26:12.460 I just love the idea

00:26:13.480 that for Vivek,

00:26:15.120 his kind of doom-scrolling,

00:26:16.900 you know,

00:26:17.140 in his free time

00:26:17.880 is that he's just on LinkedIn.

00:26:19.960 Very professional,

00:26:21.060 responsible social media app.

00:26:22.460 And he was kicked off,

00:26:23.520 allegedly,

00:26:24.140 for spreading misinformation.

00:26:26.520 Here's why he was kicked off.

00:26:27.700 I was a bit surprised

00:26:28.960 to get an email

00:26:30.000 noting that my LinkedIn account

00:26:32.280 had been shut down.

00:26:34.200 I wondered why

00:26:34.980 because actually

00:26:35.380 a number of friends

00:26:35.940 texted me saying

00:26:36.600 they followed me on LinkedIn.

00:26:37.620 That's how they keep up.

00:26:38.380 They weren't able

00:26:38.780 to find me anymore.

00:26:40.380 And so when I

00:26:41.160 had my team

00:26:42.140 get in touch with LinkedIn,

00:26:43.160 here's the response

00:26:44.040 that we got.

00:26:44.860 I'm not kidding.

00:26:45.360 I'm reading from this.

00:26:46.100 Apparently,

00:26:46.620 my third strike

00:26:47.480 was to say this.

00:26:49.240 The climate agenda

00:26:50.100 is a lie.

00:26:51.640 Fossil fuels

00:26:52.360 are a requirement

00:26:53.440 for human prosperity.

00:26:55.800 Those are my three strikes

00:26:57.320 that got me censored

00:26:59.220 on LinkedIn.

00:27:00.120 Now, it's kind of funny

00:27:03.160 and LinkedIn doesn't matter

00:27:06.300 obviously as much

00:27:07.060 as Twitter

00:27:07.560 or Google

00:27:09.540 or YouTube

00:27:10.280 or Facebook.

00:27:11.660 Though,

00:27:12.000 LinkedIn is owned

00:27:12.500 by Microsoft.

00:27:13.180 So we're talking

00:27:13.540 about a very big company.

00:27:15.140 And it shows you,

00:27:15.840 okay,

00:27:16.660 they think they can go

00:27:17.560 after Vivek right now

00:27:18.640 because he doesn't have

00:27:19.440 as much name recognition

00:27:20.500 and so they'll get

00:27:22.820 less pushback

00:27:23.520 than if they went

00:27:23.980 after Trump

00:27:24.460 or DeSantis.

00:27:25.060 Okay,

00:27:25.720 it's just this one.

00:27:27.560 Think about how early

00:27:28.480 we are in the race though

00:27:29.500 and already

00:27:30.380 you're seeing

00:27:30.860 these kinds of shenanigans.

00:27:32.700 To me,

00:27:34.140 LinkedIn going after

00:27:35.260 Vivek this way

00:27:36.060 is a little warning shot.

00:27:38.940 It's a little test shot

00:27:40.180 in the race

00:27:40.900 to see what happens

00:27:42.880 now.

00:27:45.720 We have new candidates

00:27:47.100 in the race.

00:27:49.300 Mike Pence

00:27:50.280 has long been rumored

00:27:51.860 to be interested

00:27:52.540 in entering the race.

00:27:54.380 Pence has not seen

00:27:55.040 said that he's running

00:27:55.900 but he kind of got

00:27:58.640 scooped by CNN here

00:28:00.060 in that CNN

00:28:00.980 released word

00:28:02.440 that he is going

00:28:03.680 to participate

00:28:04.220 in a CNN

00:28:04.840 presidential town hall.

00:28:07.060 A little awkward

00:28:07.880 that they made

00:28:08.920 that announcement

00:28:09.380 before he announced

00:28:10.120 that he's running

00:28:10.480 for president.

00:28:11.100 Presumably though

00:28:11.700 if you participate

00:28:12.300 in a CNN town hall

00:28:13.360 you are running

00:28:14.620 for president.

00:28:16.280 And Mike Pence

00:28:18.240 has gone now

00:28:19.280 on other networks

00:28:20.120 and he's started

00:28:21.620 to begin the process

00:28:23.600 of crafting a message

00:28:24.920 for his campaign.

00:28:26.500 Here is Mike Pence

00:28:27.740 going after Ron DeSantis

00:28:28.820 on Fox Business.

00:28:31.260 I just don't believe

00:28:33.120 it's in the interest

00:28:34.620 of the people

00:28:36.040 of any state

00:28:37.200 for a government

00:28:39.080 to essentially

00:28:39.620 go after a business

00:28:40.980 that they disagreed with

00:28:42.440 on a political issue.

00:28:43.660 I disagree with Florida

00:28:45.080 moving against

00:28:45.960 Walt Disney.

00:28:47.260 I disagree with California

00:28:48.780 moving against Walgreens

00:28:50.880 because they're going

00:28:51.700 to obey the law

00:28:52.860 about abortifacients

00:28:54.700 in some 20 states

00:28:55.780 so they're going

00:28:56.100 to cancel

00:28:56.540 a $120 million project.

00:28:58.760 Look, at the end

00:28:59.640 of the day

00:29:00.260 the business of America

00:29:01.400 is business

00:29:02.300 and I'm not terribly

00:29:03.980 surprised to see

00:29:05.020 Disney canceling

00:29:06.000 a billion dollar contract

00:29:07.340 that's only going

00:29:08.720 to harm people

00:29:09.440 in the Orlando

00:29:10.100 and Florida area

00:29:11.660 and it's one more

00:29:13.520 reason why

00:29:14.460 as a limited

00:29:15.860 government conservative

00:29:16.920 I've said for months

00:29:19.080 now that I think

00:29:20.460 both sides

00:29:21.100 ought to stand down

00:29:22.480 take the victory

00:29:23.820 for parents' rights

00:29:24.740 in the legislature

00:29:25.480 and move on.

00:29:27.320 So this message

00:29:28.860 is probably not going

00:29:30.340 to resonate

00:29:30.780 with a lot of people

00:29:31.620 at least not right now.

00:29:33.680 The GOP base

00:29:34.940 seems to be

00:29:35.840 pretty eager

00:29:36.820 for an aggressive

00:29:39.280 response

00:29:40.440 to the cultural war

00:29:41.740 that the libs

00:29:42.440 have been waging

00:29:43.280 especially when we're

00:29:44.320 talking about

00:29:44.640 Disney down in Florida

00:29:45.460 or Bud Light

00:29:46.160 or Target

00:29:46.980 or any of these

00:29:47.460 other companies

00:29:48.020 and Mike Pence

00:29:48.880 is offering a

00:29:49.820 fairly contrarian

00:29:51.960 argument here.

00:29:52.660 He's saying look

00:29:53.100 the business of America

00:29:54.240 is business.

00:29:54.960 That's a line

00:29:55.300 from Calvin Coolidge

00:29:56.220 saying the business

00:29:57.420 of America is business.

00:29:58.300 We don't really want

00:29:58.840 to antagonize business

00:29:59.720 too much.

00:30:00.400 We want to be

00:30:01.440 social conservatives.

00:30:02.460 We want to defend

00:30:03.180 our values

00:30:03.800 but we don't want

00:30:04.980 to just pummel

00:30:05.600 these businesses

00:30:06.220 into the ground

00:30:07.100 and Ron DeSantis

00:30:08.760 he went too far here.

00:30:10.340 This is a message

00:30:11.120 that to some degree

00:30:12.880 is being put forward

00:30:14.600 by President Trump.

00:30:15.800 The difference

00:30:16.280 is that Trump

00:30:16.820 is such a belligerent

00:30:18.860 cultural figure

00:30:19.720 that he somewhat

00:30:23.480 probably uniquely

00:30:25.000 can make both

00:30:26.260 of those arguments

00:30:26.740 at the same time.

00:30:28.020 Out of the one side

00:30:28.800 of his mouth

00:30:29.140 he can say Mexicans 1.00

00:30:29.920 are rapists and murderers 1.00

00:30:31.100 and we've got to 1.00

00:30:31.580 deport everybody

00:30:32.300 and then out of

00:30:33.020 the other side

00:30:33.440 he can say

00:30:34.600 all right we need

00:30:35.200 to make a deal

00:30:35.860 and bring the temperature

00:30:36.800 down a little bit

00:30:37.460 and the other candidates

00:30:38.900 are falling down

00:30:39.720 on one side

00:30:40.240 or the other

00:30:40.580 so DeSantis

00:30:41.160 is falling down

00:30:41.760 very much on the

00:30:42.440 we're going to

00:30:42.720 pummel Disney 0.99

00:30:43.200 into the ground

00:30:43.660 side of things

00:30:44.160 and Mike Pence

00:30:44.940 here is trying

00:30:45.720 to carve out

00:30:46.340 a new space

00:30:47.200 for himself

00:30:47.640 in the race

00:30:48.060 and he's saying

00:30:48.660 look I'm the

00:30:49.300 pro business guy

00:30:50.360 I'm the Calvin

00:30:51.480 Coolidge Republican

00:30:52.340 I am the return

00:30:54.300 to normalcy

00:30:55.600 that's his argument

00:30:56.860 and it's a little bit

00:30:57.860 of a long shot argument

00:30:58.860 right now

00:30:59.600 just judging from

00:31:00.460 where the GOP base is

00:31:01.560 but I think

00:31:02.900 it's not the craziest

00:31:04.100 idea for a campaign

00:31:05.200 in that

00:31:05.980 you've got Trump

00:31:07.280 running as Trump

00:31:08.180 you've got DeSantis

00:31:09.740 running as Trump 2.0

00:31:11.780 so they're both running

00:31:13.040 in the Trump lane

00:31:14.400 which is

00:31:15.260 which is a kind of

00:31:16.900 old right

00:31:18.320 anti-globalism

00:31:21.000 to some degree

00:31:22.440 anti-free trade

00:31:24.180 Pat Buchanan

00:31:25.640 kind of right wing

00:31:26.860 then you've got

00:31:28.720 Vivek

00:31:29.420 he's the outsider

00:31:30.140 candidate

00:31:30.560 then you've got

00:31:32.240 Nikki Haley

00:31:33.560 and Tim Scott

00:31:34.360 they're running

00:31:34.940 a little bit more

00:31:36.160 of a centrist

00:31:37.260 moderate campaign

00:31:38.100 and Mike Pence

00:31:39.300 is going to run

00:31:40.000 on a return

00:31:40.720 to normalcy

00:31:41.440 people are going

00:31:42.760 to mock it

00:31:43.420 he's not doing

00:31:43.920 great in the polls

00:31:44.420 right now

00:31:44.940 Joe Biden however

00:31:46.500 ran the return

00:31:47.280 to normalcy campaign

00:31:48.300 and the return

00:31:48.720 to normalcy campaign

00:31:49.660 worked out relatively

00:31:50.820 well for him

00:31:51.480 along with the

00:31:52.200 institutional advantages

00:31:53.460 that the Democrats

00:31:54.440 had

00:31:55.200 all of that

00:31:56.360 said though

00:31:57.080 before we get

00:31:58.620 into mailbag

00:31:59.300 Quinnipiac poll

00:32:00.340 is out

00:32:00.980 Trump is

00:32:02.860 absolutely

00:32:04.400 destroying this

00:32:05.260 primary right now

00:32:06.160 and I know

00:32:07.300 it's early

00:32:07.800 and we've just

00:32:08.360 got these new

00:32:08.940 candidates into the

00:32:09.700 race

00:32:10.020 even within the

00:32:11.060 last week

00:32:11.480 we've seen

00:32:11.840 the entrance

00:32:12.460 of Tim Scott

00:32:13.360 Ron DeSantis

00:32:14.540 and it would

00:32:15.120 seem Mike Pence

00:32:15.900 but

00:32:16.860 it is not even

00:32:18.380 close

00:32:18.780 so Quinnipiac

00:32:19.440 which is a

00:32:20.500 fairly well

00:32:21.180 respected

00:32:21.600 polling outlet

00:32:22.760 they say

00:32:24.140 that in May

00:32:24.800 Trump is

00:32:25.700 at 56%

00:32:27.120 DeSantis

00:32:28.040 is at 25%

00:32:29.100 none of the

00:32:29.440 other candidates

00:32:29.880 are even close

00:32:30.540 that means

00:32:31.880 that Trump

00:32:32.340 is up

00:32:32.680 31 points

00:32:33.600 over DeSantis

00:32:34.280 and that's

00:32:34.740 from the

00:32:35.080 Quinnipiac poll

00:32:35.720 you've seen

00:32:36.080 this reflected

00:32:36.540 in other polls

00:32:37.020 with even

00:32:37.880 wider margins

00:32:38.520 sometimes

00:32:38.980 now the reason

00:32:40.580 that number

00:32:40.940 matters

00:32:41.300 is that

00:32:41.820 it's going

00:32:42.140 in the right

00:32:42.520 direction

00:32:42.900 for Trump

00:32:43.380 in March

00:32:43.960 Trump was

00:32:44.420 only up

00:32:44.760 14 points

00:32:45.480 on DeSantis

00:32:46.020 it was

00:32:46.260 47 to

00:32:46.800 33

00:32:47.140 back in

00:32:47.820 February

00:32:48.060 Trump was

00:32:48.460 only up

00:32:48.740 6 points

00:32:49.220 on DeSantis

00:32:49.720 so now

00:32:50.520 maybe that

00:32:50.920 DeSantis

00:32:51.200 is officially

00:32:51.800 in the race

00:32:52.200 maybe this

00:32:53.120 will give him

00:32:53.700 a big move

00:32:54.520 to be able

00:32:54.840 to weaken

00:32:55.240 Trump

00:32:55.660 and then that

00:32:56.200 will benefit

00:32:56.620 all of the

00:32:57.080 other candidates

00:32:57.620 but as of

00:32:58.340 right now

00:32:58.900 this is

00:33:00.220 far and away

00:33:01.500 Trump's

00:33:02.400 race to lose

00:33:03.340 my favorite

00:33:04.720 comment yesterday

00:33:05.540 is from

00:33:05.800 Buck Frunch

00:33:06.720 what a name

00:33:07.540 who says

00:33:08.180 with the economy

00:33:08.740 in shambles

00:33:09.280 boycotting

00:33:09.920 has never

00:33:10.320 been easier

00:33:10.860 it's true

00:33:11.640 that's very

00:33:12.860 true

00:33:13.200 when the economy

00:33:14.160 is very shaky

00:33:15.100 and you've got

00:33:16.240 hyperinflation

00:33:17.280 and you've got

00:33:18.080 wages stagnating

00:33:19.360 and you've got

00:33:20.540 7% interest rates

00:33:22.180 so people can't

00:33:22.960 afford to buy

00:33:23.700 a new home

00:33:24.380 or move

00:33:25.300 or do much

00:33:25.800 of anything

00:33:26.260 that is a great

00:33:27.580 time to boycott

00:33:28.400 companies

00:33:28.820 because people

00:33:29.360 don't really have

00:33:29.940 the money

00:33:30.220 to go shop

00:33:30.680 at these companies

00:33:31.160 anyway

00:33:31.540 we've now arrived

00:33:32.880 at my favorite

00:33:33.320 time of the week

00:33:33.900 when I get to

00:33:34.560 hear from you

00:33:46.180 hello Michael

00:33:47.600 I'd firstly

00:33:49.200 like to start

00:33:49.760 off by saying

00:33:50.160 I'm a huge

00:33:50.760 fan of the show

00:33:51.380 good work

00:33:52.740 but my question

00:33:54.880 is on the

00:33:56.800 subject of

00:33:57.300 pride

00:33:57.780 and it being

00:33:58.980 a sin

00:34:00.280 I definitely

00:34:02.660 agree that

00:34:03.400 pride is a sin

00:34:04.140 however

00:34:04.520 when it comes

00:34:05.620 to talking

00:34:07.240 about being

00:34:08.040 proud of

00:34:08.640 say your

00:34:09.160 achievements

00:34:09.540 or if you

00:34:10.880 are a parent

00:34:11.600 and you're

00:34:12.000 proud of your

00:34:12.420 child's achievements

00:34:13.160 like say your

00:34:14.040 child painted

00:34:14.640 something

00:34:15.080 that's quite

00:34:17.220 beautiful

00:34:17.560 and you

00:34:18.360 were proud

00:34:19.100 of your

00:34:19.380 child for

00:34:20.320 that work

00:34:20.760 of art

00:34:21.040 would that

00:34:22.760 be the same

00:34:24.860 type of pride

00:34:25.880 would that

00:34:26.680 still be a sin

00:34:27.480 or

00:34:28.240 what I would

00:34:30.900 say to that

00:34:31.500 in my head

00:34:32.340 kind of right

00:34:32.800 now is no

00:34:33.520 it is not

00:34:34.360 but perhaps

00:34:35.180 pride is not

00:34:36.320 the word

00:34:37.240 to use there

00:34:37.940 I just would

00:34:39.340 like to know

00:34:39.740 what your

00:34:40.060 thoughts on

00:34:40.640 that are

00:34:41.060 really good

00:34:44.300 question

00:34:44.680 and in

00:34:45.480 part this

00:34:46.220 confusion is

00:34:47.000 caused by

00:34:47.840 the limitations

00:34:49.100 of language

00:34:49.900 especially the

00:34:50.640 English language

00:34:51.200 here because

00:34:51.940 we use the

00:34:52.500 same word

00:34:52.920 pride to

00:34:53.420 mean a

00:34:53.760 number of

00:34:54.060 different

00:34:54.300 things that

00:34:54.780 are somewhat

00:34:55.160 related but

00:34:55.780 are distinct

00:34:56.520 pride is

00:34:57.740 excessive love

00:34:58.680 of oneself

00:34:59.680 and one's own

00:35:00.840 qualities and

00:35:01.360 achievements

00:35:01.760 so pride is

00:35:04.560 necessarily

00:35:05.160 excessive

00:35:05.640 there is a

00:35:06.140 proper kind

00:35:07.100 of love of

00:35:07.560 oneself without 0.98

00:35:08.340 which we

00:35:08.880 cannot love our

00:35:09.520 neighbor properly

00:35:10.400 because we

00:35:10.900 are called to

00:35:11.640 love our

00:35:11.880 neighbor as

00:35:12.300 ourselves

00:35:12.600 if you hate

00:35:13.080 yourself you're

00:35:13.500 going to hate

00:35:13.720 your neighbor

00:35:14.000 that's not

00:35:14.320 going to be

00:35:14.520 good for

00:35:14.760 anybody

00:35:15.100 there is a

00:35:16.280 proper love

00:35:17.400 of one's

00:35:19.620 achievements and

00:35:21.640 characteristics and

00:35:22.280 family and

00:35:22.800 nation right

00:35:23.600 when you say

00:35:24.040 I'm proud to

00:35:25.060 be an American

00:35:25.660 you're not

00:35:26.480 saying I'm

00:35:27.060 embracing the

00:35:27.880 deadliest of

00:35:28.320 the seven

00:35:28.580 deadly sins

00:35:29.040 you're saying

00:35:29.420 that I love

00:35:30.140 my country

00:35:30.700 and the love

00:35:32.140 of country

00:35:32.580 patriotism is

00:35:33.780 an extension of

00:35:34.940 filial piety

00:35:35.600 which is totally

00:35:36.300 proper so

00:35:37.820 that's all

00:35:39.220 perfectly

00:35:40.280 fine but

00:35:41.260 it's the

00:35:41.640 excessiveness

00:35:42.320 and if

00:35:42.760 there's one

00:35:43.160 word that I

00:35:43.900 could use to

00:35:44.400 describe pride

00:35:46.620 month and the

00:35:47.180 pride movement

00:35:47.660 it would probably

00:35:48.240 be excessive

00:35:49.120 decadent would be

00:35:50.360 another word as

00:35:51.640 well but but

00:35:53.980 having a proper

00:35:54.620 love of yourself

00:35:55.200 and your country

00:35:55.660 and your kids

00:35:56.320 and whatever

00:35:56.620 that's that's

00:35:57.480 all perfectly

00:35:58.220 fine the trick

00:35:59.800 here and I'm

00:36:00.320 not the first

00:36:00.700 to say it is

00:36:01.540 is not to

00:36:02.060 think less of

00:36:02.700 yourself it's

00:36:03.180 to think of

00:36:03.580 yourself less

00:36:04.500 next question

00:36:05.620 hi Michael

00:36:07.260 this is Dave

00:36:08.080 D Bunyan 6

00:36:09.040 in your chat

00:36:09.800 as this

00:36:10.520 non-catholic's

00:36:11.560 favorite catholic

00:36:12.320 I was wondering

00:36:13.160 if you could

00:36:13.960 maybe either

00:36:14.820 clarify or

00:36:15.560 expand upon

00:36:16.320 something you've

00:36:17.480 said previously

00:36:18.140 regarding I

00:36:19.500 believe you've

00:36:19.960 called it the

00:36:20.560 so-called

00:36:20.960 exception passage

00:36:22.440 in Matthew 5

00:36:23.580 32 I don't

00:36:25.520 presume to know

00:36:26.160 what bible

00:36:26.680 translation that

00:36:27.540 you might read

00:36:28.060 out of I'm

00:36:28.600 going to take

00:36:28.980 a guess that

00:36:29.540 maybe you use

00:36:30.760 the duet rhymes

00:36:31.560 but I say to

00:36:32.860 you that

00:36:33.360 whosoever shall

00:36:34.320 put away his

00:36:34.780 wife accepting

00:36:35.400 the cause of 0.65

00:36:35.940 fornication

00:36:36.600 make it her

00:36:37.720 to commit

00:36:38.120 adultery

00:36:38.660 from the

00:36:39.420 vulgate from

00:36:40.300 which that is

00:36:40.920 my understanding

00:36:41.500 translated

00:36:42.580 probably be

00:36:43.280 pronouncing these

00:36:43.840 wrongs but it's

00:36:44.500 except the 0.78

00:36:45.060 fornicationus

00:36:46.100 my point would

00:36:47.120 be it appears

00:36:48.300 that Jesus is

00:36:49.020 giving some

00:36:49.640 exception here

00:36:50.520 so I was

00:36:52.040 wondering if

00:36:52.660 that is not

00:36:53.160 because of

00:36:53.540 adultery or

00:36:54.740 fornication

00:36:55.380 what it is

00:36:56.560 that you would

00:36:56.980 view as the

00:36:57.460 exception

00:36:57.880 so thank you

00:36:59.780 for all that

00:37:00.200 you do

00:37:00.560 all you guys

00:37:01.200 and everybody

00:37:01.680 at the

00:37:01.940 daily wire

00:37:02.420 and god bless

00:37:03.640 and I look

00:37:04.460 forward to

00:37:04.780 hearing your

00:37:05.080 answer

00:37:05.340 thank you

00:37:05.940 really really

00:37:06.900 good question

00:37:07.820 so what

00:37:08.700 this refers to

00:37:09.840 is the

00:37:10.120 acceptive clause

00:37:11.100 in the gospel

00:37:12.160 of saint

00:37:12.500 matthew

00:37:12.960 where christ

00:37:14.160 says what

00:37:15.100 god has

00:37:15.420 joined let

00:37:15.800 no man

00:37:16.140 separate

00:37:16.560 yes moses

00:37:17.760 told you

00:37:18.180 divorce was

00:37:18.720 okay in

00:37:19.120 some cases

00:37:19.660 but i'm

00:37:20.080 telling you

00:37:20.460 from the

00:37:20.720 beginning

00:37:20.920 it was

00:37:21.220 not so

00:37:21.740 and when

00:37:23.260 men and

00:37:24.160 women come 1.00

00:37:24.680 together in

00:37:25.080 marriage

00:37:25.360 they become

00:37:25.860 one flesh

00:37:26.440 and they

00:37:27.060 shouldn't

00:37:27.500 separate

00:37:27.820 and in

00:37:28.500 the gospel

00:37:28.840 of saint

00:37:29.120 matthew

00:37:29.320 it says

00:37:29.560 except for

00:37:30.900 porneia

00:37:32.220 except for 0.98

00:37:32.920 fornication

00:37:33.580 or unchastity

00:37:34.360 or sometimes

00:37:35.680 it's translated

00:37:36.260 as adultery

00:37:36.840 or this that

00:37:37.320 sexual immorality 0.89

00:37:38.520 okay

00:37:38.820 in recent

00:37:41.500 centuries

00:37:42.120 some protestants

00:37:43.720 have looked

00:37:45.440 at this clause

00:37:46.140 and said okay

00:37:46.660 this means that

00:37:47.200 divorce is okay 0.94

00:37:47.820 in some circumstances

00:37:48.800 that is not

00:37:49.720 the understanding

00:37:50.220 of historical

00:37:50.800 christianity

00:37:51.560 obviously the

00:37:52.460 catholic church

00:37:52.920 or the

00:37:53.380 eastern orthodox

00:37:54.420 or some

00:37:55.780 protestants too

00:37:56.500 so the

00:37:57.480 question

00:37:57.980 that i

00:37:58.580 would begin

00:37:59.000 with here

00:37:59.440 is not

00:38:01.020 why do you

00:38:02.560 catholics

00:38:04.220 hold to

00:38:06.360 and i'm not

00:38:06.780 accusing you

00:38:07.240 of doing this

00:38:07.640 i think you're

00:38:08.000 obviously very

00:38:08.460 open-minded

00:38:08.880 on this

00:38:09.160 question

00:38:09.460 but some

00:38:09.840 people i

00:38:10.220 think

00:38:10.360 will look

00:38:10.880 at this

00:38:11.060 question

00:38:11.340 and say

00:38:11.600 haha

00:38:11.920 see there's

00:38:12.580 the exception

00:38:13.040 good

00:38:13.420 why do you

00:38:14.080 catholics

00:38:14.400 deny that

00:38:14.880 exception

00:38:15.240 or eastern

00:38:15.660 orthodox

00:38:16.140 or traditional

00:38:17.000 kind of christians

00:38:17.800 why do you

00:38:18.520 deny that

00:38:19.060 exception

00:38:19.480 see there's

00:38:20.480 my excuse

00:38:21.120 to be able

00:38:21.520 to get a

00:38:21.880 divorce

00:38:22.200 i wouldn't

00:38:23.820 look at it

00:38:24.200 that way

00:38:24.460 i would begin

00:38:25.020 with just this

00:38:25.840 question

00:38:26.240 huh

00:38:26.740 why is there

00:38:28.840 that

00:38:29.160 acceptive

00:38:29.740 clause

00:38:30.120 there

00:38:30.400 where does

00:38:31.340 that come

00:38:31.680 from

00:38:31.840 why did

00:38:32.520 christians

00:38:32.980 not think

00:38:33.480 this meant

00:38:33.860 that you

00:38:34.080 could get

00:38:34.340 divorced

00:38:34.780 for the

00:38:36.020 vast majority

00:38:36.580 of the history

00:38:36.980 of christianity

00:38:37.600 why in some

00:38:38.480 recent centuries

00:38:39.120 have people

00:38:39.580 seized upon

00:38:40.640 that where

00:38:40.940 does that

00:38:41.200 come from

00:38:41.580 when you

00:38:43.180 look at that

00:38:43.640 context

00:38:44.200 then you

00:38:44.960 have to

00:38:45.140 look at

00:38:45.320 the other

00:38:45.540 gospels

00:38:45.960 too

00:38:46.200 there are

00:38:47.220 parallel

00:38:47.540 passages

00:38:48.000 in the

00:38:48.540 gospel

00:38:48.880 of saint

00:38:49.240 mark

00:38:49.440 and the

00:38:49.640 gospel

00:38:49.860 of saint

00:38:50.180 luke

00:38:50.460 and yet

00:38:51.180 those other

00:38:52.420 gospels

00:38:53.020 do not

00:38:53.760 include the

00:38:54.340 acceptive

00:38:54.740 clause

00:38:55.120 just says

00:38:55.700 what god

00:38:55.980 has joined

00:38:56.360 let no

00:38:56.740 man separate

00:38:57.260 okay

00:38:57.780 in the

00:38:58.840 writing of

00:38:59.360 saint paul

00:38:59.860 in the

00:39:00.080 epistles

00:39:00.500 first corinthians

00:39:01.800 and letter

00:39:02.440 to the

00:39:02.740 romans

00:39:03.240 you don't

00:39:04.580 see this

00:39:04.980 acceptive

00:39:05.460 clause

00:39:05.840 just says

00:39:06.280 no you

00:39:06.580 can't get

00:39:06.940 divorced

00:39:07.460 don't

00:39:08.900 don't put

00:39:09.260 away your

00:39:09.620 wife

00:39:09.900 don't do

00:39:10.420 it

00:39:10.540 don't split

00:39:11.020 up

00:39:11.260 so why

00:39:12.120 is it

00:39:12.380 just here

00:39:12.840 in the

00:39:13.060 gospel

00:39:13.360 of saint

00:39:13.740 matthew

00:39:14.160 i don't

00:39:15.260 know for

00:39:15.640 sure

00:39:15.920 no one

00:39:16.320 really knows

00:39:16.760 for sure

00:39:17.240 but some

00:39:18.320 explanations

00:39:18.780 for that

00:39:19.260 have been

00:39:19.740 that saint

00:39:20.320 matthew

00:39:20.620 is writing

00:39:21.020 for a

00:39:22.260 primarily

00:39:23.540 jewish

00:39:24.080 audience

00:39:24.600 mark and

00:39:26.420 luke

00:39:26.680 writing for

00:39:27.280 the broader

00:39:27.900 greco-roman

00:39:28.660 world

00:39:29.160 and you

00:39:30.840 might think

00:39:31.140 this is even

00:39:31.500 stranger

00:39:31.820 because those 0.89

00:39:32.300 pagans are a

00:39:33.320 little bit 0.90

00:39:33.620 looser about

00:39:34.220 sexual things 0.94

00:39:34.900 so why

00:39:35.620 would this

00:39:35.960 not include

00:39:36.380 the

00:39:36.500 acceptive

00:39:36.860 clause

00:39:37.120 here

00:39:37.360 and one

00:39:38.120 explanation

00:39:38.640 that seems

00:39:39.280 at least

00:39:40.340 plausible

00:39:40.880 if not

00:39:41.240 likely to

00:39:41.700 me

00:39:41.920 is that

00:39:42.780 the reason

00:39:43.500 here

00:39:43.880 in saint

00:39:45.220 matthew

00:39:45.560 is that

00:39:46.300 it gets

00:39:46.620 to a

00:39:46.880 controversy

00:39:47.380 between

00:39:47.720 the school

00:39:48.020 of hillel

00:39:48.540 and i forget

00:39:49.100 the name

00:39:49.360 of the

00:39:49.540 other

00:39:49.680 school

00:39:49.980 in ancient

00:39:51.700 judaism 0.99

00:39:52.240 which is

00:39:53.100 over exactly

00:39:54.640 what the

00:39:55.240 grounds for

00:39:55.760 divorce could

00:39:56.300 be and so

00:39:57.000 the acceptive

00:39:57.620 clause would

00:39:58.460 be a way

00:39:58.860 to sidestep

00:39:59.780 this controversy

00:40:00.580 whether divorce

00:40:01.180 was okay

00:40:01.480 in all cases

00:40:01.960 or only okay

00:40:02.860 in the case

00:40:03.580 of fornication

00:40:04.220 to say 0.63

00:40:04.520 okay i'm

00:40:05.260 putting that

00:40:05.760 question aside

00:40:06.400 for a second

00:40:06.860 here and

00:40:07.420 telling you

00:40:07.980 about what

00:40:08.880 marriage is

00:40:09.460 broadly

00:40:09.900 that's one

00:40:10.700 explanation

00:40:11.280 for it

00:40:11.840 another

00:40:12.200 explanation

00:40:12.720 for it

00:40:13.120 could be

00:40:13.460 that the

00:40:14.300 gospel of

00:40:14.800 saint matthew

00:40:15.140 is writing

00:40:15.780 for this

00:40:16.100 audience

00:40:16.440 that would

00:40:17.060 have understood

00:40:17.640 matters of

00:40:19.900 marriage

00:40:20.580 in this

00:40:21.280 particular way

00:40:21.920 with this

00:40:22.260 particular

00:40:22.600 kind of

00:40:23.360 language

00:40:23.800 and then

00:40:25.680 more broadly

00:40:26.540 and i think

00:40:26.880 this applies

00:40:27.400 especially today

00:40:28.280 and has been

00:40:29.020 understood by

00:40:29.720 christianity for

00:40:30.540 2000 years

00:40:31.140 is that

00:40:31.980 it is making

00:40:33.500 clear that

00:40:34.680 a marriage

00:40:35.380 is only a

00:40:35.940 marriage if

00:40:36.500 it's valid

00:40:37.080 so there

00:40:38.420 is

00:40:38.900 unchastity

00:40:41.580 porneia

00:40:42.380 adultery

00:40:44.740 that will

00:40:46.200 render a

00:40:47.620 marriage

00:40:47.940 null

00:40:48.400 because

00:40:48.980 the

00:40:49.680 marriage

00:40:49.980 couldn't

00:40:50.260 have been

00:40:50.600 valid

00:40:51.040 in the

00:40:51.220 first

00:40:51.360 place

00:40:51.540 namely

00:40:51.860 if

00:40:52.140 someone

00:40:52.320 is

00:40:52.440 already

00:40:52.680 married

00:40:53.120 and

00:40:53.680 then

00:40:53.840 marries

00:40:54.260 again

00:40:54.740 can that

00:40:56.740 husband

00:40:57.820 and second

00:40:58.420 wife

00:40:58.680 split up

00:40:59.160 well yes

00:40:59.480 but they

00:40:59.700 weren't

00:40:59.980 validly

00:41:00.900 married

00:41:01.180 in the

00:41:01.380 first

00:41:01.540 place

00:41:01.700 and you

00:41:01.940 see this

00:41:02.400 happen

00:41:02.760 often

00:41:03.980 in the

00:41:04.260 modern

00:41:04.460 world

00:41:04.760 actually

00:41:05.180 that

00:41:05.500 someone

00:41:05.880 could be

00:41:06.360 secretly

00:41:06.720 hiding

00:41:07.060 a wife

00:41:07.360 or something

00:41:07.640 like that

00:41:08.020 or could

00:41:08.240 have

00:41:08.400 withheld

00:41:08.940 something

00:41:09.260 from the

00:41:09.560 spouse

00:41:09.820 before marriage

00:41:10.440 that would

00:41:10.720 have rendered

00:41:11.060 the marriage

00:41:11.580 null

00:41:12.300 so when

00:41:13.320 Christ says

00:41:14.020 in the

00:41:14.180 gospel of

00:41:14.520 saint

00:41:14.640 matthew

00:41:14.880 any man

00:41:15.480 who divorces

00:41:16.760 his wife

00:41:17.260 except for

00:41:18.260 adultery

00:41:18.760 or except for 0.72

00:41:19.200 fornication 0.93

00:41:19.660 or porneia

00:41:20.160 makes his

00:41:22.380 wife an

00:41:23.120 adulteress 0.96

00:41:23.760 that that is

00:41:25.180 literally true

00:41:26.000 because what

00:41:26.760 we're saying

00:41:27.200 what our

00:41:28.240 lord would be

00:41:28.640 saying is

00:41:29.560 she's already 0.99

00:41:31.380 an adulteress

00:41:32.020 or you're

00:41:32.460 already an

00:41:32.920 adultery

00:41:33.300 you're already

00:41:33.760 committing

00:41:34.200 adultery

00:41:34.760 in this case

00:41:36.280 so it's

00:41:36.980 very precise

00:41:38.060 technical

00:41:38.640 language

00:41:38.960 those are

00:41:39.820 I don't know

00:41:40.160 that's like

00:41:40.480 three

00:41:40.880 possible

00:41:42.040 explanations

00:41:42.600 for it

00:41:43.180 but this

00:41:44.760 isn't just

00:41:45.140 a way

00:41:45.360 to kind

00:41:45.600 of weasel

00:41:46.000 out of

00:41:46.240 the question

00:41:46.640 or anything

00:41:47.000 like that

00:41:47.640 I think

00:41:48.540 that the

00:41:48.840 people who

00:41:49.380 defend the

00:41:50.060 acceptive

00:41:50.460 clause

00:41:50.720 one have

00:41:51.180 to explain

00:41:51.580 why it

00:41:52.460 wasn't

00:41:52.840 accepted

00:41:53.260 for well

00:41:54.980 over a

00:41:55.320 millennium

00:41:55.800 you know

00:41:56.160 for many

00:41:57.020 centuries

00:41:57.340 after a

00:41:57.720 millennium

00:41:57.980 but then

00:41:58.500 also I

00:41:58.940 think they

00:41:59.140 have to

00:41:59.340 explain

00:41:59.700 the parallel

00:42:00.720 passage

00:42:01.080 in Mark

00:42:01.560 the parallel

00:42:02.200 passage

00:42:02.560 in Luke

00:42:03.060 first

00:42:03.660 Corinthians 0.75

00:42:04.140 and Romans

00:42:05.360 I think

00:42:05.800 they have

00:42:06.040 to explain

00:42:06.360 the overwhelming

00:42:07.520 majority

00:42:08.160 of the

00:42:08.800 evidence

00:42:09.140 in the

00:42:09.540 scripture

00:42:09.820 which say

00:42:10.980 which says

00:42:12.100 that divorce

00:42:12.560 is no bueno

00:42:13.760 and I think

00:42:14.360 that the

00:42:14.600 traditional

00:42:14.880 explanation

00:42:15.320 is just

00:42:15.660 more persuasive

00:42:16.240 okay next

00:42:16.740 one

00:42:16.980 hey smoky

00:42:18.600 mike it's

00:42:19.180 daily

00:42:19.440 grinch 0.78

00:42:19.860 here 0.97

00:42:20.160 with a

00:42:20.920 quick

00:42:21.100 question

00:42:21.540 for you

00:42:22.020 about our

00:42:22.500 second

00:42:22.800 amendment

00:42:23.180 rights

00:42:23.760 so according

00:42:24.880 to the

00:42:25.240 second

00:42:25.440 amendment

00:42:25.840 we have

00:42:26.900 the right

00:42:27.280 to a

00:42:27.660 well-regulated

00:42:28.320 militia

00:42:28.860 being necessary

00:42:29.720 to the

00:42:30.120 security

00:42:30.520 of a

00:42:30.860 free

00:42:31.080 state

00:42:31.560 and the

00:42:32.500 right

00:42:32.680 of the

00:42:32.880 people

00:42:33.060 to keep

00:42:33.420 and bear

00:42:33.780 arms

00:42:34.180 shall not

00:42:34.620 be

00:42:34.780 infringed

00:42:35.480 so regarding

00:42:37.020 the second

00:42:37.460 amendment

00:42:37.860 my question

00:42:39.520 is how

00:42:40.160 do states

00:42:40.900 believe

00:42:41.360 that they

00:42:41.800 can

00:42:42.120 infringe

00:42:42.740 upon

00:42:43.180 our

00:42:43.860 rights

00:42:44.260 and make

00:42:44.940 gun laws

00:42:46.060 restricting

00:42:47.160 those rights

00:42:48.120 when in

00:42:49.360 article 6

00:42:50.360 paragraph 2

00:42:51.300 of the

00:42:51.660 constitution

00:42:52.340 that establishes

00:42:54.860 the supremacy

00:42:55.420 clause

00:42:55.980 which says

00:42:56.640 federal laws

00:42:58.260 and amendments

00:42:58.960 take precedence

00:43:00.060 over the

00:43:00.500 state laws

00:43:01.200 i just

00:43:03.600 don't see

00:43:04.040 how states

00:43:04.700 believe that

00:43:05.400 they can

00:43:05.860 infringe

00:43:06.640 upon

00:43:07.040 our

00:43:07.460 second

00:43:07.700 amendment

00:43:07.960 rights

00:43:08.360 and make

00:43:08.800 these

00:43:09.140 just

00:43:09.880 outrageous

00:43:10.620 laws

00:43:11.220 restricting

00:43:11.800 our gun

00:43:12.360 ownership

00:43:12.780 love to hear

00:43:13.920 your answer

00:43:14.420 because we're

00:43:15.760 not governed

00:43:16.300 by an old

00:43:16.860 piece of

00:43:17.260 parchment

00:43:17.660 is the

00:43:18.620 problem

00:43:19.940 but just

00:43:21.000 the reality

00:43:21.660 and no

00:43:22.220 state

00:43:22.500 really is

00:43:23.220 so

00:43:24.360 that old

00:43:25.480 piece of

00:43:25.860 parchment

00:43:26.200 has to

00:43:26.780 be embodied

00:43:27.540 and institutionalized

00:43:28.900 in

00:43:29.420 tradition

00:43:31.300 and in

00:43:32.620 state law

00:43:33.980 and in

00:43:34.600 institutions

00:43:35.420 and in

00:43:35.920 practices

00:43:36.360 and so

00:43:37.280 that creates

00:43:37.780 a disconnect

00:43:38.300 between the

00:43:38.980 capital C

00:43:39.440 constitution

00:43:40.020 which supposedly

00:43:41.400 governs our

00:43:41.880 country

00:43:42.140 and the

00:43:42.460 lowercase c

00:43:43.040 constitution

00:43:43.460 that we

00:43:43.900 embody

00:43:44.220 every single

00:43:44.800 day

00:43:45.100 and the

00:43:46.140 lowercase

00:43:46.500 c

00:43:46.640 constitution

00:43:47.200 in many

00:43:48.620 ways

00:43:48.880 violates

00:43:49.360 the

00:43:49.500 capital

00:43:49.760 c

00:43:49.980 constitution

00:43:50.420 and we've

00:43:51.060 just all

00:43:51.500 kind of

00:43:51.820 accommodated

00:43:52.320 that

00:43:52.500 because

00:43:52.720 that's

00:43:52.940 the way

00:43:53.140 governments

00:43:53.620 go

00:43:53.980 so

00:43:54.520 why do

00:43:54.820 they do

00:43:55.040 it

00:43:55.160 because

00:43:55.440 they can

00:43:55.940 and we

00:43:56.220 can complain

00:43:56.680 about it

00:43:57.120 but that's

00:43:57.620 the way

00:43:57.860 that states

00:43:58.780 have always

00:43:59.180 acted

00:43:59.480 and so

00:44:00.120 it's

00:44:00.700 incumbent

00:44:01.160 upon us

00:44:01.860 to just

00:44:02.900 try to

00:44:03.440 fix

00:44:04.460 the

00:44:04.660 lowercase

00:44:05.040 c

00:44:05.160 constitution

00:44:05.700 one

00:44:06.780 to bring

00:44:07.160 it

00:44:07.320 in

00:44:07.520 closer

00:44:07.740 alignment

00:44:08.100 with

00:44:08.280 the

00:44:08.380 capital

00:44:08.600 c

00:44:08.820 constitution

00:44:09.360 and

00:44:09.880 two

00:44:10.280 more

00:44:10.520 broadly

00:44:10.860 just

00:44:11.120 to make

00:44:11.500 it

00:44:11.700 better

00:44:12.600 and more

00:44:13.140 conducive

00:44:13.760 to flourishing

00:44:14.220 okay next

00:44:14.720 question

00:44:15.060 hey michael

00:44:16.460 love the

00:44:17.000 show

00:44:17.280 long time

00:44:17.840 watcher

00:44:18.240 here

00:44:18.480 thank you

00:44:18.980 for everything

00:44:19.440 you do

00:44:19.880 so my name

00:44:20.960 is david

00:44:21.400 i'm 25

00:44:22.000 and uh

00:44:22.960 i'm a

00:44:23.360 homosexual 0.93

00:44:23.800 not a

00:44:25.080 not a

00:44:25.580 practicing

00:44:26.240 one i mean

00:44:26.820 i'm jewish

00:44:28.120 so of course

00:44:29.520 i won't be

00:44:29.960 getting married

00:44:30.520 uh you know

00:44:31.560 if i were

00:44:31.920 bisexual

00:44:32.400 i could just 0.98

00:44:33.100 marry a woman 0.97

00:44:33.760 but i'm not

00:44:34.980 so i don't

00:44:35.740 want to do

00:44:36.100 that to some

00:44:36.840 poor lady 1.00

00:44:37.480 who deserves

00:44:38.620 someone who's

00:44:39.120 attracted to

00:44:39.700 her

00:44:39.860 so my

00:44:40.680 question for

00:44:41.240 you is

00:44:41.840 how can i

00:44:42.540 live a

00:44:43.160 fulfilling and

00:44:43.900 meaningful life

00:44:44.760 knowing that

00:44:45.900 i will never

00:44:46.740 have a marriage

00:44:48.080 and i'll never

00:44:48.820 start a family

00:44:49.640 of my own

00:44:50.220 thanks again

00:44:51.300 really good

00:44:52.940 question

00:44:53.400 sorry that you're

00:44:54.420 dealing with this

00:44:55.140 difficulty

00:44:55.720 many people are

00:44:56.440 dealing with it

00:44:56.920 though and you

00:44:57.400 seem to have a

00:44:58.100 good head on

00:44:58.600 your shoulders

00:44:59.020 and you're

00:44:59.520 you know

00:44:59.820 really viewing

00:45:00.360 this through

00:45:01.120 your reason

00:45:01.680 and trying to

00:45:02.520 to bring your

00:45:03.520 will in accord

00:45:04.020 with your reason

00:45:04.520 i wouldn't

00:45:06.200 totally write off

00:45:06.920 marriage

00:45:07.400 in that i

00:45:08.020 i agree it

00:45:09.200 would be wrong

00:45:09.640 to deceive a woman 0.98

00:45:10.520 and pretend you're

00:45:11.240 really attracted to her

00:45:12.120 when in fact you're

00:45:13.060 not

00:45:13.340 but if you could be

00:45:14.420 somewhat honest about

00:45:15.280 this issue and you

00:45:15.940 say look i have this

00:45:17.620 issue of sexual

00:45:19.300 attraction but life

00:45:21.700 is about more than

00:45:22.320 physical attraction and

00:45:23.440 i want a family and i

00:45:24.340 want to live a more

00:45:24.860 traditional life and i

00:45:25.720 want kids and all the

00:45:26.680 rest of it and could

00:45:29.340 you accept me you know

00:45:30.460 to a woman i don't

00:45:31.460 know maybe a woman 0.97

00:45:32.080 could do that i it'd be

00:45:33.760 a hard sell there's no

00:45:34.720 question about it but

00:45:35.560 but maybe you could do

00:45:36.260 that and then two on

00:45:39.080 this issue you're jewish

00:45:41.060 so i can't i can't

00:45:42.380 give you a really

00:45:44.660 sophisticated religious 0.88

00:45:46.420 advice here because i

00:45:47.140 just don't i don't know

00:45:48.620 really how this works in

00:45:49.700 judaism but the christian 0.53

00:45:53.040 view of things is that

00:45:54.000 you don't need to get

00:45:55.200 married to have a totally

00:45:57.280 fulfilling life and that

00:45:59.140 you can you can

00:46:00.740 consecrate yourself in

00:46:02.200 your singlehood to god

00:46:04.140 and people can do that in

00:46:05.820 religious life you know

00:46:06.840 you could become a nun or a

00:46:08.300 priest or a brother or

00:46:09.140 something like that and

00:46:10.160 say look i maybe i'm not

00:46:11.940 attracted to women but i i'm

00:46:13.780 going to be a celibate and

00:46:14.900 i'm just i'm going to

00:46:16.860 sublimate my desires

00:46:18.420 straight to god who's the

00:46:19.700 source and summon of all of

00:46:20.460 our desire or you don't

00:46:22.100 need to join a religious 0.99

00:46:22.900 order you could just

00:46:23.620 consecrate your singlehood

00:46:24.820 and say okay i'm going to

00:46:25.400 live a single life one

00:46:26.340 thing i would recommend

00:46:27.000 though is i would

00:46:30.080 recommend that i would

00:46:30.940 recommend obviously

00:46:31.880 grounding all of your

00:46:32.960 desire and purpose in

00:46:36.360 god i would also

00:46:37.820 recommend being very

00:46:38.900 involved in your

00:46:39.980 community you know you

00:46:41.080 we live in an age in

00:46:42.860 which people are all

00:46:45.900 feeling isolated and

00:46:47.400 alienated from society and

00:46:48.960 community has broken down

00:46:50.200 and this is bad for

00:46:51.760 everybody but it's

00:46:52.680 especially bad for people

00:46:53.720 who are not going to get

00:46:55.160 married who are not going 0.98

00:46:56.040 to have kids who are

00:46:56.820 and it's especially bad

00:46:57.640 for people who don't fit 0.84

00:46:59.720 into this very cookie

00:47:02.040 cutter kind of idea of what

00:47:03.920 life is that has taken

00:47:05.120 hold especially in

00:47:05.840 modernity so i'd

00:47:07.500 recommend you know

00:47:08.460 you're a political

00:47:09.460 animal you're a social

00:47:10.160 animal you've got to be

00:47:12.020 around people even if

00:47:13.060 that means you're not

00:47:14.240 around a wife but i think

00:47:15.500 you have multiple options

00:47:16.540 available to you and

00:47:17.460 and the modern left wants

00:47:18.600 to say that well if you

00:47:19.460 don't just pursue all of

00:47:21.000 your sexual desires you 0.86

00:47:22.500 know whatever they may be

00:47:23.660 and however they may change

00:47:24.880 then you're going to live a

00:47:26.280 terrible life of

00:47:27.060 repression and sadness

00:47:28.060 but that that obviously is

00:47:29.800 not true and i think that

00:47:31.340 you're more likely to live a

00:47:32.780 life of sadness if you if

00:47:35.060 you don't follow your

00:47:36.120 reason you know some

00:47:37.180 people through their

00:47:38.420 reason will conclude well

00:47:39.580 this uh heterodox thing

00:47:41.360 that i want to do is um

00:47:43.420 is is acceptable and and

00:47:45.140 good and they're probably

00:47:45.840 probably wrong about that

00:47:46.900 but at least you know

00:47:47.460 they're honestly following

00:47:48.220 their lights uh but but

00:47:50.900 you're a little different

00:47:51.580 you're saying no this is

00:47:52.300 how i want to behave and

00:47:53.740 how i how i want to live

00:47:55.000 and my appetites are

00:47:57.360 telling me differently well

00:47:58.260 okay pursue the reason

00:47:59.400 because the reason is

00:48:00.020 supposed to mediate between

00:48:00.900 the lower will and the

00:48:01.760 divine reason okay it's
