Summary

Juneteenth, the day that marks the end of slavery and the beginning of freedom, is a federal holiday celebrated by liberals every July 4th. The whole point of Juneteenth is to be an anti-independence day for an enemy nation. It s the same subversive claptrap that the Libs peddle every chance they get.

00:00:37.700 Happy Juneteenth, everybody.
00:00:39.920 I hope you're doing well.
00:00:41.580 I hope you're preparing for Juneteenth, which will complete the Triduum of the Sacred Feast of Juneteenth.
00:00:49.000 And many of you probably had never heard of Juneteenth before the liberals invented it five minutes ago.
00:00:55.080 But that is not stopping even many conservatives from embracing the holiday and joining in on the pretense that Juneteenth is not only a real thing, but a very good thing.
00:01:07.720 I have here an article from the Antioch Herald.
00:01:12.200 Happy Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom brought to you by the Republican Party.
00:01:17.780 I have here Washington Times, right-wing Washington Times.
00:01:21.060 Juneteenth, a celebration in honor of the GOP's greatest accomplishment.
00:01:27.500 Greatest one ever.
00:01:28.120 And then I have here Fox News, the formerly conservative cable channel Fox News, why Juneteenth is as American as the 4th of July.
00:01:39.320 Juneteenth unites Americans by celebrating the end of slavery.
00:01:43.920 Of course, it doesn't do any of that.
00:01:47.520 Juneteenth is not traditionally American.
00:01:49.960 It certainly doesn't unite people.
00:01:51.500 And it doesn't mark the end of slavery, either in the Emancipation Proclamation or in the 13th Amendment.
00:01:59.080 It doesn't mark the end of anything.
00:02:01.020 It marks the day that the mailman made it to some random part of Texas and told the locals that Lincoln had freed some of the slaves two and a half years prior.
00:02:09.820 Virtually no one in the country had heard of it until a few years ago when white liberals started pretending that it was a really important day to black people.
00:02:19.040 Virtually none of whom had ever heard of it either.
00:02:21.700 And then, because the white people thought the black people really cared about it, everybody started pretending that it was a thing.
00:02:27.680 And now it is a federal holiday.
00:02:30.280 Whatever obscure local tradition Juneteenth is based on has little, if anything, to do with the current holiday, which liberals created three years ago and named, crucially, the Juneteenth National Independence Day.
00:02:47.300 Why did they do that?
00:02:49.620 In order to replace the old Independence Day, which is the 4th of July.
00:02:55.660 Even today, even the most ardent observers of Juneteenth will struggle to tell you exactly what the day commemorates.
00:03:07.660 This ambiguity is by design.
00:03:10.160 The point is emphatically not to mark anything in particular.
00:03:14.600 It's not to celebrate emancipation, freedom.
00:03:19.500 The point is to insist that emancipation never really took place.
00:03:24.120 That it has not and never will be completed.
00:03:27.560 That it is a constant process of revolution to overthrow the oppression and deceit of our political order and national myths.
00:03:36.720 That's the point.
00:03:37.780 The whole point of Juneteenth is to be an anti-independence day for an anti-American nation.
00:03:45.340 It's the same subversive claptrap that the libs peddle every chance they get, which would be bad enough.
00:03:51.660 But to add insult to injury, a sizable group of sweet, dopey, gullible conservatives are going along with it.
00:04:01.880 As if our cooperation with this contrived nonsense will finally get the libs to stop calling us evil and racist.
00:04:10.540 And, as is always the case with conservative capitulation, not only is this not going to work, but left unchecked, the revolution will continue more and more radically until we finally celebrate independence from our very country and culture.
00:04:30.340 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:04:31.200 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:04:32.080 Welcome back to the show.
00:04:41.520 We have a little later, I'm sorry to report, a Southern California high school teacher giving a lesson on pleasing an orifice that really should not be pleased.
00:04:56.260 We're going to heavily edit it.
00:04:57.940 You know, this is a family show.
00:04:59.180 We're going to keep it PG.
00:05:00.160 Okay, but we'll get to it because a lot of conservatives, I think, are having the wrong reaction to this disgusting clip.
00:05:07.960 So we'll get to that in a little bit.
00:05:08.900 First, though, we've got to stick around with these squishy conservatives, these gullible, center kind of liberal, squishy people.
00:05:21.100 Juneteenth is for conservatives who want to play pretend.
00:05:24.640 The liberals invent Juneteenth, or more or less, they take some random tiny local tradition and turn it into something completely different at the national level.
00:05:33.940 And we all have to pretend that it's a real thing.
00:05:36.240 And the whole point of the holiday is obviously to be an anti-independence day.
00:05:39.980 It's why it's two weeks before Independence Day.
00:05:42.020 That's why it founds the nation in a very different way.
00:05:44.760 It views the trajectory of the American nation in a very different way than the traditional Independence Day would.
00:05:52.240 The old Independence Day is founded on this idea that there is a fixed human nature.
00:05:59.340 There's certain truths, unalienable rights that God endows us with.
00:06:02.480 And we're going to pursue those eternal truths.
00:06:04.860 Because the new Independence Day, Juneteenth, it says, no, there's not.
00:06:09.320 There was the Emancipation Proclamation.
00:06:11.260 That was a little earlier.
00:06:12.120 There's the 13th Amendment.
00:06:13.140 That's a little later.
00:06:14.360 But even the 13th Amendment didn't really get rid of slavery because there was Jim Crow later.
00:06:18.260 And even Jim Crow didn't really get rid of slavery because there was redlining.
00:06:22.160 And there was, I don't know, now there's mass incarceration.
00:06:26.220 That's slavery according to the libs.
00:06:27.720 And so it's never over.
00:06:28.780 It's never over.
00:06:29.880 America's always bad.
00:06:31.740 It's always very oppressive.
00:06:32.680 We always have to reject the past.
00:06:35.460 We've got to feel a crisis in the present.
00:06:37.400 We've got to just run into an uncertain liberal future where they tell us, eventually, eventually, we'll find utopia.
00:06:47.220 And there are conservatives who want to pretend that that's a good thing, like that's a win.
00:06:51.460 Ooh, they don't realize.
00:06:53.460 What the Democrats don't realize is they're the real racists, you see.
00:06:57.360 And so what they don't realize is the Republicans actually won the Civil War.
00:07:01.240 And it's the Republicans are the good party.
00:07:03.700 They don't realize that, those dopes.
00:07:05.420 Ha ha, we'll show them.
00:07:07.100 Juneteenth, it's a Republican holiday.
00:07:08.960 Okay, all right.
00:07:09.780 You're not convincing anybody.
00:07:11.580 But if that makes you feel better at night, okay, fine.
00:07:14.100 And it's this same kind of play pretend, make believe that everything is okay and that the Republicans, we're really winning here.
00:07:23.060 We're seriously equal partners in this American political project.
00:07:27.520 It's not that the liberal establishment dominates everything.
00:07:29.660 No, no, we're playing fair and square here.
00:07:32.360 It's those kind of guys who we're now seeing really go after, say, Donald Trump.
00:07:39.480 It's those kind of guys who we're seeing really go after the populist element in the GOP.
00:07:43.480 It's guys like Asa Hutchinson, who is furious about the Trump campaign.
00:07:49.580 I'm sure he's furious for a lot of reasons.
00:07:51.700 But one thing he's furious about is the single most defensible part of the Trump campaign,
00:07:58.360 namely the observation that the Department of Justice is being weaponized against conservatives.
00:08:03.860 The whole concept that so many Republican leaders are adopting, that this is the weaponization of the Justice Department.
00:08:13.900 And I think they've made some bad decisions.
00:08:16.300 I can certainly disagree with many of the decisions they've made, particularly Jim Comey and some of his in reference to Hillary Clinton.
00:08:24.920 But in terms of the overall charge of weaponization of the Justice Department, look at Donald Trump.
00:08:32.680 He's already declared that if he's elected president, he's going to appoint a special prosecutor to go after the Biden family.
00:08:39.560 That's called a weaponization of the Justice Department.
00:08:43.020 And so let's back off of these accusations and let's get back to being the party of the rule of law,
00:08:50.200 of the justice system, supporting law enforcement and equal application of law.
00:08:56.640 But you just admitted the Justice Department's being weaponized.
00:09:01.380 The first part of that statement, Asa Hutchinson admits, yeah, look, I'm not happy with the things Jim Comey did,
00:09:07.980 in particular vis-a-vis Hillary Clinton.
00:09:11.880 And well, what does that imply?
00:09:13.340 Well, I don't necessarily agree about the DOJ letting Hillary off the hook for a much more egregious version of the crime that Donald Trump allegedly committed.
00:09:23.940 And of course, you know, the DOJ cooking up a completely fake narrative, a hoax,
00:09:29.820 alleging that he colluded with the Russians to try to destroy his presidential campaign from the DOJ
00:09:36.760 and then try to undermine his entire duly elected administration.
00:09:40.180 And sure, maybe I don't, I don't support, now I'm just putting words in his mouth,
00:09:45.120 maybe I don't support the fact that the DOJ is going to let BLM terrorists who burn federal courthouses off the hook.
00:09:53.240 Meanwhile, they throw Midwestern grannies who cracked the chorus light in the Capitol Rotunda into solitary confinement without charges.
00:10:01.560 Maybe, okay, I know, but, but, if we acknowledge all those unfortunate truths,
00:10:11.420 well, then we might weaponize the Justice Department too, so let's just, let's just what?
00:10:14.760 Let's just play pretend.
00:10:17.000 That's what he's saying.
00:10:18.120 He's saying, yes, the DOJ is being weaponized by Democrats against Republicans consistently.
00:10:23.980 It's happening right now.
00:10:25.040 The majority of Americans, according to a Harvard-Harris poll, say that the indictments of Donald Trump are election interference by the Democrats.
00:10:34.200 That's all true, but let's pretend it's not happening.
00:10:37.740 La, la, la, la, la.
00:10:39.380 Because if we acknowledge that it's happening, then we have a responsibility to do something about it,
00:10:44.320 which means that we're going to have to insist upon our political principles in the government,
00:10:49.480 which, of course, we should, it's politics, right?
00:10:51.940 Politics is what we do in the government, but we have, for many decades now,
00:10:55.800 we've pretended that that somehow isn't the case, that the government is totally neutral
00:10:59.340 and doesn't have any substantive political commitments.
00:11:01.560 And so if we do that, well, by golly, we're going to have to acknowledge that there are some serious problems with our structure
00:11:08.560 and that the liberals have a lot more power than the squishy Republicans previously admitted.
00:11:15.720 Let's just be nice, guys.
00:11:17.860 Because if we do all that, then I can't go on CNN anymore.
00:11:21.160 You know, then they're going to call me, like, racist or something.
00:11:23.400 Let's just bitter, just to keep our heads in the sand and play pretend.
00:11:27.900 I don't think we should play pretend.
00:11:29.340 I think we've got to be honest.
00:11:30.320 We've got to talk to one another.
00:11:32.000 When you want to talk to your friends, you've got to check out Pure Talk.
00:11:34.420 Right now, go to puretalk.com slash Knowles.
00:11:36.420 One company that I'm very proud to stand behind, a company that's proud to stand behind us in our country,
00:11:41.580 Pure Talk.
00:11:42.140 Veteran-owned with a 100% American workforce, they share our beliefs.
00:11:46.060 That is why Pure Talk is the official cell phone wireless provider of The Daily Wire.
00:11:50.100 But that is not the only reason.
00:11:53.280 Pure Talk also happens to be the most dependable 5G network in the U.S.
00:11:57.900 They're a top-tier provider at a fraction of the cost of those other companies.
00:12:01.640 You know those companies, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile.
00:12:04.520 Companies that do not care about you or what you believe.
00:12:08.160 Mix and match your plans to fit every person in your family.
00:12:10.600 Choose from talk, text, and 5G data for just $20 a month.
00:12:13.840 All the way up to unlimited data with a mobile hotspot, just $55 a month.
00:12:18.980 I guarantee that's less than you're paying for that right now.
00:12:21.980 You vote with how you spend your money.
00:12:23.520 Stop supporting woke wireless companies that do not support you.
00:12:26.680 Go to puretalk.com slash Knowles.
00:12:28.440 You get great coverage and save while you're doing it.
00:12:31.020 Go to puretalk.com slash Knowles to save an additional 50% off your first month
00:12:35.100 because they actually value you.
00:12:38.340 That is puretalk.com slash Knowles.
00:12:40.280 Pure Talk, wireless by Americans for Americans.
00:12:44.540 Some conservatives are sick of playing pretend.
00:12:47.660 Some thousands of conservatives, conservatives Catholics,
00:12:51.700 just showed up outside of Dodger Stadium.
00:12:54.100 Because, you know, we had previously mentioned that the Dodgers were going to honor
00:12:58.520 an actual satanic drag troupe, a blasphemous, sacrilegious, satanic drag troupe
00:13:06.660 whose entire raison d'etre is to mock our Lord, Jesus Christ.
00:13:13.000 That group was being honored at Dodger Stadium.
00:13:16.040 They're called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
00:13:17.720 So they mock not only our Lord, but they mock nuns who worship our Lord.
00:13:20.740 And so the Dodgers initially said, okay, we probably shouldn't honor the satanic drag troupe.
00:13:26.020 And then later on they said, no, actually we should.
00:13:28.700 You know, we should.
00:13:29.660 Sorry, I forgot our national religion is the rainbow.
00:13:31.780 Okay, yeah, we're going to honor the satanic drag troupe.
00:13:35.380 And so thousands of Catholics turned up outside and protested.
00:13:40.940 You can see there's lots of great videos.
00:13:42.620 And unlike when the liberals show up in protest, they didn't burn anything down.
00:13:48.460 They didn't make the place look disgusting.
00:13:50.900 They just held up signs that said, stop this kind of hate.
00:13:57.700 Believe.
00:13:58.440 Believe in Jesus.
00:13:59.640 You know, really nice basic stuff holding up beautiful banners,
00:14:04.580 beautiful pictures of our Lord.
00:14:08.540 Crucifixes.
00:14:08.940 They're just, man, I love conservatives and Christians so much.
00:14:15.900 They just, even when they're taking to the streets, they're just orderly, put together.
00:14:20.920 They look nice.
00:14:23.960 But they're showing up en masse.
00:14:25.680 I mean, if you were a big lib and you were going to the Dodgers game,
00:14:30.000 you would probably be surprised that there are even that many Catholics in Southern California.
00:14:35.900 That is a show of numbers and power.
00:14:40.480 And it's something that the American people need to start doing a little bit more.
00:14:43.920 Because increasingly, you're seeing a divergence of opinion between the people and the elite.
00:14:48.840 The big divergence of opinion that we're seeing now is not so much left versus right or Republican versus Democrat.
00:14:54.400 It's people versus elite.
00:14:55.800 That's how you're seeing the emergence of populist candidates like Donald Trump, like Robert Kennedy Jr.,
00:15:02.920 who are kind of crossing party lines in a way that we haven't seen in the last few decades of American politics.
00:15:09.700 You're seeing the deplorables, the irredeemable people, you know, the ones, the bitter clingers that Obama and Hillary Clinton made fun of.
00:15:17.600 Those people don't neatly fit exactly into Republican or Democrat.
00:15:21.600 They're moving much more in the Republican camp right now because the Democrats have now become the party of the elite.
00:15:29.380 So we've got the numbers on our sides on a whole host of issues.
00:15:32.560 I mean, to use just this example that the drag queen stuff and the anti-Catholic hate,
00:15:38.500 the American people are overwhelmingly on our side.
00:15:40.480 But because we don't have that much power anymore, because a small number of elite liberals control the political process now,
00:15:49.160 it's unclear how much influence our numbers are actually going to get us.
00:15:53.880 We've got to show up.
00:15:56.080 That does matter.
00:15:57.480 I was reminded of the COVID vaccines.
00:15:59.740 Do you remember with the COVID vaccines, Joe Biden said, I'm not going to have a vaccine mandate.
00:16:04.480 I'm not going to have a vaccine mandate.
00:16:05.840 I'm not going to have a vaccine mandate.
00:16:07.040 Okay, there's a mandate.
00:16:09.020 And how did that happen?
00:16:11.200 Because Biden was waiting, Fauci was waiting, for the number of people who had already received one shot of the vaccine
00:16:19.520 to reach a significant threshold that there wouldn't be total pushback.
00:16:23.680 So then the moment, when it was just 10% of people who had gotten the vaccine,
00:16:28.000 Biden knew that a federal mandate was a losing proposition.
00:16:32.580 Then 20, then 30, then 40, then 50.
00:16:34.660 Once you get enough people, all of a sudden you say, okay, now we've got it.
00:16:38.820 Same thing with Fauci.
00:16:40.480 During the run-up to the vaccine, he was asked, what percentage of people need to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity?
00:16:48.120 And he said, oh, now listen here.
00:16:49.720 Listen here.
00:16:50.320 I think the total percentage is 70%.
00:16:52.760 One day it was 70%.
00:16:53.940 One day it was 80%.
00:16:54.780 One day it was 60%.
00:16:55.820 It kept moving.
00:16:56.980 And Fauci was asked, wait, hold on, why does this keep moving?
00:17:00.420 And he admitted, he said, I'm paraphrasing here, but he said something to the effect of,
00:17:04.840 because, look, part of this is politically, publicly, I've got to convince people to get the vaccine.
00:17:11.040 So we move, we adjust the thresholds a little bit to do that, okay?
00:17:14.660 The numbers really matter.
00:17:16.400 The enthusiasm really matters.
00:17:17.740 If we show these guys that we mean business, they are going to back off, at least for a time.
00:17:22.900 Now, speaking of vaccines and speaking of Robert Kennedy Jr., he's making some waves now.
00:17:29.660 The way you know that Robert Kennedy Jr. is making serious waves against Joe Biden is, one, he's polling around 19% or 20% against him,
00:17:38.400 which is pretty insane for a, quote, unquote, fringe candidate who's running against the incumbent.
00:17:44.840 But the other reason that you know that he's starting to make some serious headway is that the liberal establishment is going after him.
00:17:52.400 So Bobby Kennedy Jr., he lived in the town I lived in growing up, or like one town over.
00:17:57.820 So I've been aware of Bobby Kennedy Jr. for most of my life.
00:18:01.600 And he's a liberal lawyer, environmentalist lawyer.
00:18:05.300 He got really focused on the vaccine issue and was mocked for it.
00:18:09.260 And now he's not mocked quite as much for it because people saw the negative effects of some of these vaccines during COVID.
00:18:16.380 And so now he seems like a much more anti-establishment figure.
00:18:20.600 The guy always got really great press.
00:18:23.240 The press treated this guy like royalty for most of my life because he's a Kennedy.
00:18:28.820 And now, all of a sudden, that he seems to be a threat to Joe Biden and the liberal establishment,
00:18:33.580 all of a sudden, you're seeing these headlines about decades-old misdeeds of Bobby Kennedy Jr.
00:18:40.440 He's a Kennedy, okay?
00:18:41.680 He's lived a colorful life.
00:18:43.460 These guys, you know, they're not the most buttoned-up family in America.
00:18:47.300 You know, look at his uncles.
00:18:50.420 Look at pretty much his whole family, okay?
00:18:53.000 And RFK Jr. is no exception to that.
00:18:57.560 My question is just, why now?
00:18:59.700 Why now are you covering scandals from 10 years ago, 20 years ago?
00:19:03.020 Oh, because you gave him a pass when he was a reliable, if eccentric Democrat,
00:19:06.860 but now he threatens you in any way.
00:19:08.500 You're going to try to destroy his life.
00:19:10.760 I am not a big fan of the Kennedys.
00:19:16.180 I'm not an old-school liberal or something.
00:19:19.300 I'm not one of these people who says, boy, if Jack Kennedy were alive today, he'd be a Republican.
00:19:23.380 I don't, I guess maybe he would, probably he wouldn't.
00:19:26.560 But I don't know.
00:19:27.080 I'm not a classical liberal.
00:19:28.280 I'm not a 1960s liberal.
00:19:30.020 I'm just a conservative.
00:19:30.780 So I don't really fall into the thrall of the Kennedys.
00:19:35.500 But I'll tell you, if there were some way to see a Trump-Kennedy ticket,
00:19:43.120 it would probably do very, very well.
00:19:47.260 And it's not totally out of the question.
00:19:49.940 And the reason it's not totally out of the question is in part because of the time that
00:19:52.920 we're living in.
00:19:53.480 What do Trump and Kennedy have in common?
00:19:57.900 They're both, for large parts of their careers, skeptics of the vaccines.
00:20:02.160 They're both now derided and detested by the political establishment.
00:20:06.540 They're both celebrity rock stars within their own parties and social milieu who have been sort of
00:20:15.480 ostracized from them now.
00:20:16.720 And now they're both considered to be champions of the people.
00:20:21.320 So as populism rises and blurs the lines between left and right,
00:20:27.060 there's a case for putting those two guys together,
00:20:29.740 even though Kennedy's got all sorts of terrible opinions on guns and abortion and all the rest of it.
00:20:35.740 You could see a case for that to be made.
00:20:38.640 And it would be the craziest one yet.
00:20:40.700 If a Kennedy were the GOP vice presidential candidate,
00:20:44.240 that would be completely wild.
00:20:46.180 It would make people's heads explode.
00:20:47.500 He's polling very well among Democrats right now.
00:20:51.000 Could it happen?
00:20:53.340 Probably not.
00:20:55.480 But it is probably Kennedy's best shot right now, given who he is.
00:21:01.920 And it's a reminder, too, that populism doesn't look like you think it does from a movie or a novel or something like that.
00:21:11.840 But it's not usually just some random yokel who crops up out of nowhere and leads a popular revolution.
00:21:18.940 These guys are both very, very wealthy celebrities who seem like unexpected figures.
00:21:27.080 You know, the idea that a billionaire playboy from New York is going to lead the conservative resurgence in America,
00:21:31.900 that always seemed wild.
00:21:33.120 The idea that a Kennedy is going to lead the anti-establishment faction of the Democrats seems a little crazy.
00:21:40.020 But big political changes almost driven by pretty well-funded political minorities.
00:21:47.540 It's not totally out of the question.
00:21:48.820 Now, speaking of patriotism, you're probably going to want to check out MyPatriotSupply.

00:24:20.520 Speaking of Democrats and RFK Jr., a majority of Democrats want Joe Biden to debate Bobby
00:24:27.160 Kennedy Jr. right now.
00:24:28.220 This is according to a Convention of States Action, Trafalgar Group Survey.
00:24:32.000 57.5% of Democrats believe Biden should debate RFK Jr.
00:24:37.900 This is a clear majority.
00:24:39.240 Another 31.7% think they should not debate and 10.8% say that they are unsure.
00:24:48.520 Kennedy's rising.
00:24:50.520 Just as it took that billionaire celebrity to bring populism to the GOP, it might well take
00:24:56.720 a Kennedy to bring populism to the Democrats.
00:24:59.320 Now, speaking of the Biden administration, Joe Biden's monkeypox czar, a man named Dimitri
00:25:05.260 Das Galakas, if you forget who he is.
00:25:08.160 He's that guy who published photographs of himself wearing leather sex gear and specifically
00:25:16.500 wore a leather pentagram, symbol of the devil, on his chest over a pentagram tattoo.
00:25:24.760 These are the people that our supposedly Catholic president is staffing his administration with.
00:25:29.800 So I shouldn't laugh because it's pretty dark.
00:25:32.980 But this guy, this Satan-worshipping leather sex fiend, he was put in charge of monkeypox,
00:25:43.200 which is kind of funny too.
00:25:45.800 But he seems to have really terrible advice for how to deal with monkeypox because you would
00:25:49.780 think if you're in that role, if you're the monkeypox czar, and you know that practically
00:25:54.520 speaking, monkeypox is a sexually transmitted disease for homosexual men who go to orgies.
00:26:00.340 That's how it spreads.
00:26:02.320 Technically, you can get it other ways, but that's, in effect, that's actually how it
00:26:06.880 spreads.
00:26:07.560 You could call it gay orgypox.
00:26:09.380 Sort of like with HIV, they say that HIV is not a sexually transmitted disease because
00:26:12.860 you can get it from needles.
00:26:13.920 Like, I guess you can, but the way you do get it is from a very specific kind of sexual
00:26:19.200 intercourse most of the time.
00:26:20.920 So, this monkeypox guy, you would expect him to say, hey, don't engage in dangerous
00:26:29.000 sexual practices.
00:26:30.160 That should be pretty much the only thing that his job requires.
00:26:33.800 And yet, and yet, he says the opposite.
00:26:38.860 I work in HIV normally, and I'll tell you that, you know, I always say that I've never
00:26:43.120 made an HIV diagnosis in someone that hasn't somehow related to stigma.
00:26:47.260 I think MPOX is the same.
00:26:48.560 So, really, stigma tends to be a barrier to testing, a barrier to vaccination.
00:26:54.380 And so, you know, really addressing stigma intentionally and making sure that we get
00:26:59.460 the word out in a way that supports people's joy as opposed to, you know, calling them
00:27:04.460 risky.
00:27:05.220 So, I think, you know, one of the things to think about is that, you know, one person's
00:27:08.520 idea of risk is another person's idea of a great festival or Friday night, for that
00:27:13.060 matter.
00:27:13.440 So, we have to sort of embrace that with joy and make sure that folks know how to keep
00:27:17.200 themselves safe.
00:27:19.280 Do we, though?
00:27:20.940 Do we have to do that?
00:27:23.860 One person's idea of risk of contracting HIV or monkeypox or any other number of sexually
00:27:30.720 transmitted diseases, one man's idea of risk is another guy's idea of a great Friday night.
00:27:35.720 Am I right?
00:27:36.860 Am I right?
00:27:37.780 And so, what we have to do is encourage that, encourage people to go to weird leather orgies.
00:27:43.660 We have to.
00:27:45.180 We have to.
00:27:45.840 What other choice do we have?
00:27:47.620 What?
00:27:47.940 Are we going to tell them not to engage in dangerous, deviant sexual behavior that's
00:27:51.800 obviously depraved and wrong?
00:27:53.240 That societies for all of history have discouraged strongly and certainly our civilization discouraged
00:27:59.000 for pretty much its entire existence?
00:28:01.100 Would we do that?
00:28:01.920 But then we won't get the monkeypox orgies.
00:28:06.500 And we can't tell people not to go to those.
00:28:09.300 I think we can.
00:28:12.180 Stigma.
00:28:13.380 Stigma is a real barrier to people getting vaccines.
00:28:20.980 Maybe, or something.
00:28:23.460 So, that may or may not be true.
00:28:26.160 I'm not totally convinced that's true.
00:28:28.220 But you know what stigma is also a big impediment to?
00:28:34.140 Contracting these illnesses.
00:28:35.980 Do you know what stigma is also a great impediment to?
00:28:40.180 Orgies.
00:28:41.300 And bathhouses.
00:28:42.760 And weird monkeypox leather parties.
00:28:45.000 Stigma also suppresses those things.
00:28:47.480 Because they're considered socially unacceptable.
00:28:49.460 Sometimes they're considered illegal.
00:28:50.980 If they happen, there can be legal consequences for it.
00:28:53.520 There will be much more broadly cultural consequences for it.
00:28:56.100 And fewer people engage in that risky behavior.
00:28:58.420 Which the monkeypox guy admits is very bad for people.
00:29:02.260 Not bad like you get the sniffles for a couple weeks.
00:29:04.500 Bad like you get HIV.
00:29:09.020 Can we just say no?
00:29:11.460 Can we just say no to this stuff?
00:29:13.480 He's honest in that this guy, this Satan-worshipping, leather daddy monkeypox czar,
00:29:20.980 working for Joe Biden, is following liberalism to its logical conclusion.
00:29:26.060 The logical conclusion that begins with the skepticism of liberalism.
00:29:30.740 The idea that we can't really know what's good or bad or right or wrong or true or false.
00:29:33.720 You know, we're just going to try to get along and be peaceable and increase our material prosperity
00:29:37.880 and tick up GDP a little bit.
00:29:39.240 The logical conclusion of that is, hey, one man's HIV orgy is another man's fun Friday night.
00:29:46.600 So let's enjoy, let's encourage people's joy.
00:29:48.560 But of course, engaging in these deviant, dangerous, destructive practices, sexual or otherwise,
00:29:57.440 will not ultimately bring people joy.
00:29:59.280 It might bring them a disordered, temporary sense of euphoria, but ultimately will bring
00:30:03.620 them misery.
00:30:05.100 Because when you do bad things, that makes you less happy in the long run.
00:30:09.920 And when you do good things, that makes you more happy in the long run.
00:30:13.480 And this is why, by the way, I cited a survey yesterday from Gallup that said that same-sex
00:30:20.520 sexual relations has decreased in acceptability in the American consciousness.
00:30:27.500 So not just the trans stuff, not just even redefining marriage, but even the idea of same-sex
00:30:33.960 relations.
00:30:34.840 People now view it less favorably than they did a year or two ago.
00:30:38.800 Significantly so.
00:30:40.260 Why is that?
00:30:41.020 It's not because of will and grace.
00:30:43.860 It's not because of your gay cousin who's got a live-in partner or something where they're
00:30:49.400 perfectly pleasant and appropriate and have nice Thanksgiving dinner.
00:30:55.040 It's because of that guy.
00:30:57.900 And it's because of the teachers in the public schools who are pushing this radical ideology.
00:31:03.060 And it's because of transing the kids.
00:31:04.620 And it's because people are seeing the logical conclusion of the sexual revolution.
00:31:09.880 And they say, you know, we don't need to tolerate the monkeypox orgies.
00:31:14.800 That's not what James Madison wrote the Constitution for, okay?
00:31:18.420 That's not what the Declaration of Independence is about, the new one or the old one.
00:31:22.400 We're just not going to do it anymore.
00:31:26.540 So you're seeing this in the schools.
00:31:29.000 This was a story that came out about a week ago.
00:31:31.780 I did my best to avoid getting to this story.
00:31:34.120 But I think we actually have to get to it.
00:31:36.440 The clip is all over the place.
00:31:38.180 And I've censored it liberally so that you don't have to hear too much of this gross lesson.
00:31:44.180 This is a high school teacher in Southern California giving a lesson on pleasing an orifice of the body.
00:31:48.980 You don't have to go inside the boot.
00:31:51.960 You can actually just push on the scene.
00:31:55.460 And that stimulates the plant as well.
00:31:58.740 And that, they apparently really like that.
00:32:02.180 But, yeah, so that's why for male and male,
00:32:07.480 it's still very pleasurable because of the fact that it hits the, it hits the,
00:32:12.380 and there's a lot of nerve endings in your booty as well.
00:32:16.640 So the girls, the j***, prostate, they're the equivalent to each other.
00:32:22.380 But apparently, that's why if you ever see like, I mean, Target has them now.
00:32:28.520 Sex toys.
00:32:29.340 If you go to Target, seriously, if you go to Target and go where the tampons and pads are,
00:32:33.620 they have, they just look like a little box.
00:32:36.160 But if you open up, there's like a Velcro front to the box.
00:32:39.140 You open it up, and then bam, sex toy.
00:32:41.480 Okay, you get the idea.
00:32:42.540 There's more to the video.
00:32:43.520 but you can use your imagination to fill in the blanks and what else she's saying. She's giving
00:32:47.800 the students this very graphic, instructive lesson on how to engage in deviant sexual practices
00:32:56.220 that are not oriented towards, say, the good of the spouses and the generation and the education
00:33:00.680 of children, traditionally understood as the telos of sexual relations, the purpose of sexual
00:33:05.140 relations, but on how to titillate people in ways by putting things where they're not supposed to
00:33:10.140 go. So some parents are up in arms about this. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave,
00:33:17.600 but students are defending the teacher. A student said, quote, as a student in the video, I would
00:33:25.080 like to say that everything taught by our teacher is educational. This is an anatomy physiology class
00:33:29.600 and people shouldn't put her on leave and she should be rehired. And I got to tell you,
00:33:35.500 oddly enough, I'm with the students. I'm kind of on the teacher's side here.
00:33:43.120 This is a gross lesson. It obviously shouldn't be taught in high schools. It obviously shouldn't
00:33:48.140 be taught a taxpayer expense. The kids are getting a bad education here. The woman is
00:33:53.220 bad at her job if her job is educating people. But she's pretty good at her job if her job is
00:34:03.680 following the lesson plans that her bosses set out. The woman is just doing the job that was
00:34:10.340 established by the school boards, by the state, now when we're talking about California,
00:34:15.740 and by our culture more broadly. She's teaching a class on anatomy and physiology. We have classes on
00:34:22.800 sexual education. Sexual education now no longer has a moral aspect to it in the traditional sense.
00:34:32.060 I guess it has a moral aspect to it in the immoral modern sense, which is to say any sexual behavior
00:34:37.580 that you find pleasurable is good. That's a moral lesson. It just happens to be immoral and it teaches
00:34:42.620 the immorality of liberalism rather than the true morality of religion. But she's just following the
00:34:49.580 lesson, man. Don't fire her. She's doing her job. You should fire the school board members. In the case of
00:34:55.600 California, you should fire the state administrators over education and the governor, Gavin Newsom.
00:35:01.300 But we can't get mad at the foot soldiers for following the orders.
00:35:06.120 If you get mad at that, you should say maybe she should quit her job or she probably doesn't know
00:35:10.260 any better. The people who really deserve our ire are the people who are setting the lessons.
00:35:15.040 And that includes the governors, that includes the state administrators, and that includes
00:35:22.460 the number of people, often a very vocal, intense activist minority, but sometimes there's a
00:35:28.720 significant number of them. People, ordinary citizens who peddle this stuff. This is wrong. If you don't
00:35:34.760 want it in your schools, then you've got to vote the bums out and then whenever and wherever you can
00:35:41.540 wield political power to take the power away from these weirdos. Speaking of kids, there's a major
00:35:48.160 Supreme Court case that not a lot of people have been talking about, but it's a really heart-wrenching
00:35:52.740 case over whether not white couples or black couples or Hispanic couples, I guess, non-Native
00:35:59.340 American couples can adopt Native American children. And whether tribes can demand Native American
00:36:07.360 children who've been adopted not be allowed to grow up in those cultures and have to come
00:36:11.340 back to the plantation. And the conservatives are kind of split on this issue, but it tells
00:36:17.740 you a lot. This case, which was very sadly decided, tells you a lot. It shows you a big fault line
00:36:23.620 in the American right between liberalism and conservatism. Now, one thing that kids need

00:38:18.500 key events of the Cold War as the series explores pivotal moments such as the Berlin blockade,
00:38:22.620 the Korean War, the death of Stalin, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, Watergate,
00:38:27.340 and the ultimate resolution of the Cold War. Don't just read about history. Live it. Bill
00:38:31.620 makes you feel like you are there witnessing history. All episodes of Cold War are now available
00:38:36.320 to stream, but you've got to be a Daily Wire Plus member to see it. My favorite comment yesterday
00:38:40.600 from Julia T, who says, RFK Jr. and Trump would be an effing insane combo. I'd be on board.
00:38:46.100 Key there being insane. That's, I think, why a lot of people are ginned up for it. Because if you just
00:38:53.200 think about politics in the way that politics has been in America for 20 or 30 years now,
00:38:57.340 you say, well, that doesn't make sense because RFK, he's anti-Second Amendment. I think he's
00:39:01.460 pro-abortion. He's a lib. You know, he's a big lib. So why would I vote for a lib? But if you think
00:39:07.960 about politics in a little bit of a higher way, like a meta-politics, the politics of politics,
00:39:15.120 and you say, okay, hold on. Right now, the issues that are defining our political debates are to
00:39:20.600 some degree still these issues over, I don't know, say abortion or immigration or the economy or,
00:39:27.160 but at a larger level, the debates are over how we are even governed. Who even gets to decide
00:39:34.760 those questions? Because right now, the deep state, you know, the bureaucrats, the administrative
00:39:40.720 state, the permanent government, they broadly decide a lot of those questions, especially on
00:39:45.940 foreign policy, especially on things like trade. And the elections are kind of rigged. They seem
00:39:53.860 kind of rigged right now. And neither party really has faith in the elections among the rank and file
00:39:58.500 voters. So when you see the issue as being about a corrupt system, then all of a sudden,
00:40:05.700 these populist weirdo wrench in the system candidates, like Trump and RFK Jr., they start
00:40:10.780 to make a little bit more sense. The fact that you say, man, that would be effing insane.
00:40:15.740 That is kind of the best argument for that ticket. The best argument for a Trump-Kennedy ticket
00:40:22.220 is not that they're the most coherently, cohesively conservative, patriotic, whatever
00:40:27.960 candidates that you ever saw. The argument for that ticket is that this machine of state that
00:40:33.360 is operating now is very corrupt and is not responsive to the people and is not doing good
00:40:39.240 things. And so we just need to throw these people who don't fit into the machine and gum the whole
00:40:45.080 thing up. If that's what the election's about, Trump-Kennedy is a pretty good ticket.
00:40:50.660 So here's his case. Holland versus Brackeen. I'm sure I'm mispronouncing that. This is a challenge
00:40:59.040 to the 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act, which was created to maintain Native American culture by
00:41:04.520 prioritizing Native families in the adoption of Native children. And the case was 7-2. The only
00:41:11.080 people who voted against the claims of the Indian tribes to keep the kids, even if the kids had been
00:41:18.980 adopted by non-Indian parents, the only ones to vote against that were Alito and Thomas, who were
00:41:25.100 the two most conservative judges on the court. The Libs plus the other conservatives, they voted
00:41:31.160 in favor of the Indian Child Welfare Act, which prioritizes maintaining Native American culture
00:41:38.560 over the interests of the Native American children. And obviously over the interests of the non-Native
00:41:45.440 American families who have adopted these children. And there are all sorts of legal rights that were
00:41:51.020 involved in this decision. Tenth Amendment rights, you know, states' rights, the 14th Amendment right
00:41:58.940 to equal protection. But at a broader level, this case is a debate between liberalism and Christian
00:42:09.000 conservatism. Because if you've got a debate, if you are on the side of liberalism, classical or otherwise,
00:42:17.120 if you are on the side of nationalism, which crops up at the same time as liberalism, this idea that nations
00:42:25.020 have a pretty firmly absolute right to do whatever the hell they want within their own territories, among their
00:42:30.980 own people. If you believe that, and there are plenty of conservatives who believe that, and there are sort of
00:42:35.260 persuasive arguments, then you're going to side with the Indians here. You're going to side with the
00:42:39.660 Indian Child Welfare Act. You're going to say the maintenance of Indian culture, feather not dot,
00:42:44.540 is more important than the welfare of any individual Indian child. However, if you are on the side of
00:42:54.260 Christian conservatism, you're going to side with the Indian children here against the Indian Child Welfare Act.
00:43:01.420 Because if you're on the side of Christian conservatism, you're probably sympathetic to the particular
00:43:08.220 claims of a particular tribe, and you're not opposed to them having their own culture and traditions and
00:43:15.360 practices. But more fundamentally, you believe that there are eternal truths. You believe that you are called
00:43:25.220 to evangelize all of the nations, and you believe that your understanding of the truth has a special
00:43:33.440 claim all throughout the world. That we're not just going to live in some relativistic hodgepodge
00:43:39.960 of individual cultures and nations. And you can't judge my culture, and I can't judge your culture,
00:43:44.940 and stay out of my borders, man. If you're a traditional Christian conservative,
00:43:50.580 conservative, you're going to say, oh no, there is a God. He's a triune God. He loves us.
00:43:58.040 We have the gospel message. We've got a good culture here. And so we're not necessarily going
00:44:03.920 to be eager to go in and conquer you, or we're not going to make you convert at gunpoint or anything
00:44:08.480 like that. But if a Native American family puts their kid up for adoption, we get to raise that kid,
00:44:12.740 we baptize that kid, then we are going to continue to raise that kid. And your claims of cultural
00:44:18.260 particularity or whatever are not going to overcome the claims of baptism and the gospel and the
00:44:26.500 Western culture, Christendom, that we're going to raise this child in. And you're going to see
00:44:32.460 conservatives fall on both sides of this. There are plenty of strong conservative defenders of
00:44:37.180 nationalism, even of classical liberalism to some degree. But it is no coincidence that the people who
00:44:45.120 appear to be the most conservative, and I think the most conservative in a Christian conservative
00:44:49.220 kind of way, Alito and Thomas, they're the ones who come down on the side of the kids.
00:44:54.060 The others who are a little bit more liberal, a little bit less hardcore, they're the ones who
00:45:02.680 side with the actual court liberals and side with the Indian tribes.
00:45:08.200 Now, speaking of young people, great news coming out of Gallup. There's a lot of great news on the
00:45:15.500 horizon about the American people, even as the American government seems to decay. Americans are
00:45:22.120 overwhelmingly pro-life. Americans are overwhelmingly pro-life. According to a Gallup news survey released
00:45:29.460 this week, just 37% of Americans think abortion should be legal in the second or third trimester of
00:45:37.520 pregnancy. Only 22% believe that it should be legal in the third trimester. So well over three
00:45:42.440 quarters of Americans say you really should ban abortion in the third trimester. And about two
00:45:47.060 thirds say that you should ban abortion in the second trimester too. So you've got at least,
00:45:53.820 you know, roughly two thirds of Americans who say abortion should only be legal in the first
00:45:57.560 trimester. Now, unfortunately, the majority of Americans believe abortion should be legal in the
00:46:04.420 first three months of pregnancy. That's 69% of Americans. So that's the highest percentage
00:46:09.420 since Gallup began tracking the trend. So you've now got, you've got more Americans than ever who
00:46:14.360 think abortion should be legal in the first trimester, but you've got a cratering number
00:46:17.700 of Americans who think that abortion should be legal in the second and third trimester.
00:46:21.440 What does that tell us? I think it's basically good news in that if you were able to ban abortion in
00:46:28.640 America in the second and third trimester, that would be a great improvement over what we've got now.
00:46:32.980 So I'll take it. But it also shows you one of the downsides of democratic, lowercase d,
00:46:38.580 democratic politics, which is that it tends toward incoherence. You ever hear about the
00:46:45.880 independent voter? In America, in democracies, we always exalt the independent voter. But the
00:46:53.460 independent voter very often is independent because his political views don't make any sense.
00:46:59.100 So he'll say, I don't know. He'll say, I'm pro, I'm pro abortion. Well, I guess in this case,
00:47:12.860 you just say I'm pro abortion in the first trimester, but not in the third trimester. It's
00:47:16.400 the same baby. Why is it okay to murder the baby at one point, but not another point? Or you'll,
00:47:20.880 you'll see someone say, I'm in favor of transgenderism, but not for transing the kids.
00:47:26.900 Well, okay, if you're in favor of transgenderism, then you're making a claim about human nature.
00:47:33.740 And if, if that claim about human nature is true, it's true of the kids also. Or you'll,
00:47:38.460 you'll see someone say, I'm in favor of, uh, I don't know, any, any number of, of sort of issues.
00:47:48.280 Uh, they'll, they'll be a little bit confused. They'll support some social policies, but not
00:47:53.160 certain economic policies, it gets a little bit jumbled up. Now, a nice consequence of the hostility
00:48:02.500 between the people and the elite that we're seeing increasing is that elite opinion in this liberal
00:48:12.560 establishment is pretty reliably wrong on all of these issues, on sexuality, on immigration,
00:48:20.600 on the economy, on foreign policy, the elite opinion. If you open up the pages of the New York
00:48:25.960 Times, the Washington Post, you find whatever the opinion is there. You can 99 times out of 100 be
00:48:31.260 confident that that opinion is wrong and you should have the opposite opinion. Which means that as the
00:48:37.680 elites become more and more radical, more and more corrupt, more and more wrong, and the people
00:48:42.440 increasingly view the elites as hostile to them, the American people are going to become more
00:48:47.480 conservative. As we're seeing reflected in the polls on abortion, on sexual matters, on education,
00:48:55.000 on even economic matters, on foreign policy, on, you're seeing a conservatizing of the American
00:49:02.920 people. Will that be reflected in the polls? The question is how much power do the people have?
00:49:08.660 We would get to member block. And I would blame producer Jacob, but I cannot. I cannot blame him
00:49:17.320 right now. I actually sent him away. I've got to go to Gavin Nussolini's hellhole of California for
00:49:25.040 just a few days. We've got some projects we're doing out there. And so there's no member block today.
00:49:30.140 We'll join you again for member block tomorrow. I will miss you in the meantime, but until then,
00:49:34.060 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
