00:00:37.720 Just when you thought it was safe to go back to your normal political order, COVID strikes again.
00:00:44.120 According to a new report from Deadline, COVID mask mandates are returning to Hollywood,
00:00:50.400 with Lionsgate as the first major studio to officially reinstate masking and daily testing.
00:00:56.500 The COVID rules are apparently also returning to campus as well,
00:01:01.820 with Morris Brown College in Atlanta reinstating mask mandates and other safety protocols.
00:01:09.260 What's strange is the timing.
00:01:11.820 Most places dropped the COVID mandates two and a half years ago.
00:01:16.320 So you can't even say that this is a seasonal thing,
00:01:18.840 that every fall we're just going to need to mask up again or something.
00:01:22.860 We didn't mask up last fall.
00:01:25.420 We didn't even mask up the fall before that.
00:01:28.660 And on top of all that, we now know, thanks to a study from Cochrane Library,
00:01:33.680 the most rigorous and comprehensive analysis of scientific studies conducted on the efficacy of masks,
00:01:39.140 reported even by the liberal New York Times,
00:01:41.820 that the masks do absolutely nothing to stop the spread of COVID.
00:01:47.140 We also now know, thanks to an admission by the former FDA commissioner,
00:01:52.100 that the social distancing rule of six feet was completely arbitrary.
00:01:56.540 We also now know that the vaccines didn't do basically anything that we were told they would do.
00:02:01.640 They didn't stop people from catching COVID.
00:02:04.120 They didn't stop people from spreading COVID.
00:02:06.220 They weren't necessary.
00:02:07.820 They weren't particularly safe.
00:02:09.580 And the mandates to take them were not constitutional.
00:02:12.620 We now know all of that.
00:02:14.900 And still, still, the liberal elite appears eager to bring it all back.
00:02:22.700 Two and a half years later, right on time.
00:02:27.100 COVID-19 arrived the year before the 2020 presidential election.
00:02:34.220 That's what the 19 stood for, 2019.
00:02:38.100 And COVID-19 justified the complete upending of election rules
00:02:43.460 to remove barriers to fraud and to favor Democrats,
00:02:47.120 even in violation of, for example, the Pennsylvania state constitution.
00:02:51.400 And now, right on time,
00:02:54.140 15 months before the 2024 presidential election,
00:02:57.460 what do you know?
00:02:58.980 That same malleable little virus appears to be cropping up again.
00:03:04.760 COVID statistics have been notoriously dubious from day one.
00:03:09.500 But Donald Trump's poll numbers have not been so dubious.
00:03:13.560 They seem to be pretty reliably high and increasing, actually.
00:03:18.300 The liberal establishment is going to try to throw him in jail first.
00:03:22.340 But if they don't manage to lock him up,
00:03:25.540 rest assured, plan B is to lock you up again instead.
00:03:30.680 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:03:31.480 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:03:32.340 Welcome back to the show.

00:04:03.580 Then you can have steak and eggs for breakfast like me.
00:04:06.500 Major scandal unfolding in Maui.
00:04:08.940 The mayor of Maui won't say how many children are missing.
00:04:11.880 This is a massive cover-up.
00:04:13.940 It's basically been blacked out in the establishment media.
00:04:16.880 We'll get to what's going on and why that is in just a moment.
00:04:19.720 First, though,
00:04:20.680 you might say,
00:04:23.440 Michael, you sound kind of conspiratorial about COVID.
00:04:26.700 What are you talking about?
00:04:27.940 I don't think that the return,
00:04:30.940 the apparent potential return of the mask mandates
00:04:33.520 and the lockdowns and all that kind of stuff,
00:04:35.240 that doesn't have anything to do with the presidential election.
00:04:38.120 All I'm going to say is,
00:04:39.920 some people got COVID right from the beginning.
00:04:44.340 Some people got COVID wrong from the beginning.
00:04:47.460 Some people got COVID wrong every single step of the way.
00:04:50.400 Some people got it right pretty much every single step of the way.
00:04:54.260 And you know I hate to say I told you so.
00:04:57.240 But I'm, at the very least, happy to say that I was in the former camp here.
00:05:02.900 I called it, guys.
00:05:06.000 I called it.
00:05:07.080 When everyone was saying,
00:05:08.040 oh, well, actually, maybe we should mask up.
00:05:09.540 I said, the masks are stupid.
00:05:10.840 When everyone said,
00:05:11.460 well, maybe we should stay home and social distance.
00:05:13.240 I said, that's ridiculous.
00:05:14.060 And I returned to work within 36 hours.
00:05:16.040 Even after they sent me home,
00:05:17.200 I called up Jeremy.
00:05:17.800 I said, I got to come back to the studio.
00:05:18.900 I'm going to lose my mind in my apartment.
00:05:21.540 Flew around.
00:05:23.420 Questioned the vax from day one.
00:05:26.080 Said it seemed preposterous.
00:05:27.840 Bad idea.
00:05:28.920 All these things.
00:05:29.880 Okay.
00:05:30.200 And so,
00:05:31.420 I'd just like maybe,
00:05:34.020 just maybe,
00:05:35.060 look,
00:05:35.380 if you're listening to this show,
00:05:36.320 you're probably aware of how the liberal establishment
00:05:39.940 used COVID-19 to its own purposes.
00:05:42.720 But the timing here,
00:05:43.800 I don't see how anybody
00:05:45.300 with even a modicum of common sense,
00:05:47.160 two brain cells to rub together,
00:05:48.480 could look at this and say,
00:05:49.460 hey,
00:05:49.960 COVID returns for the first time in two and a half years.
00:05:53.120 Wonder why that is,
00:05:54.680 right before the presidential election.
00:05:56.280 What's the point of that?
00:05:57.140 A big point of that
00:05:58.080 is that Joe Biden is not doing well
00:06:00.600 against any of the Republicans.
00:06:02.980 Trump continues to lead in the polls.
00:06:04.800 Trump continues to beat Joe Biden,
00:06:06.460 according to head-to-head polls.
00:06:08.360 And Biden's numbers are tanking.
00:06:11.080 So,
00:06:11.600 what do they have to do?
00:06:12.720 They've got to rig the system.
00:06:14.800 Especially because Joe Biden faces this,
00:06:17.100 this Hunter Biden issue
00:06:19.220 that involves Joe Biden.
00:06:21.900 Because the Hunter Biden corruption
00:06:23.280 wasn't just about Hunter Biden.
00:06:24.580 We now know that Joe was intimately involved in it.
00:06:26.480 We've got the receipts.
00:06:27.460 We've got the emails.
00:06:28.620 We've got the handwritten notes.
00:06:29.760 We've got the pseudonyms.
00:06:30.900 We've got the calls that he set up.
00:06:32.180 We've got it all.
00:06:34.840 And now,
00:06:35.780 the Biden camp doesn't want to have to deal with this.
00:06:38.980 The Joe Biden camp,
00:06:39.780 the Hunter Biden camp is actually using it for leverage.
00:06:43.340 Because Hunter Biden's lawyer
00:06:45.300 reportedly threatened to place Joe Biden
00:06:47.980 on the witness stand
00:06:49.060 if Joe Biden's DOJ
00:06:51.020 prosecuted Hunter Biden
00:06:53.120 and didn't give Hunter Biden
00:06:54.640 the sweetheart deal
00:06:55.520 that the prosecutors tried to give him
00:06:57.540 before the judge shot it down.
00:07:00.600 Chris Clark,
00:07:01.780 is Hunter Biden's former lawyer,
00:07:03.600 wrote a threatening letter to prosecutors
00:07:05.120 last October
00:07:05.900 warning the department not to charge him.
00:07:08.460 Said,
00:07:08.680 that President Biden now unquestionably
00:07:10.340 would be a fact witness
00:07:11.700 for the defense
00:07:12.840 in any criminal trial.
00:07:14.940 There can be no doubt
00:07:15.700 that these leaks
00:07:16.340 have inserted President Biden
00:07:17.820 into the case.
00:07:19.220 This of all cases
00:07:20.020 justifies neither
00:07:20.900 the spectacle
00:07:21.460 of a sitting president
00:07:22.240 testifying at a criminal trial
00:07:23.500 nor the potential
00:07:24.920 for a resulting
00:07:25.780 constitutional crisis.
00:07:28.520 As a result of this,
00:07:29.780 the DOJ
00:07:30.520 offered Hunter
00:07:31.740 a sweetheart deal
00:07:32.520 that said,
00:07:33.340 yeah,
00:07:33.420 you'll get off the hook
00:07:34.020 for the tax crimes.
00:07:34.940 You'll be diverted.
00:07:35.940 You won't even really be prosecuted
00:07:37.360 for the gun crimes
00:07:38.360 and we'll just let you off the hook
00:07:39.380 and then you won't have to deal
00:07:40.340 with any other future
00:07:41.420 legal problems.
00:07:43.620 Now,
00:07:44.040 is this an example
00:07:45.320 of Hunter and Joe
00:07:46.260 being pit off
00:07:47.620 against one another?
00:07:48.480 I don't think so.
00:07:49.660 I think
00:07:50.040 this is the Biden family
00:07:52.500 generally
00:07:53.180 threatening
00:07:54.260 the DOJ
00:07:56.540 and the
00:07:57.560 administrative government
00:07:58.940 to say,
00:07:59.720 hey man,
00:08:00.540 do you want to cause
00:08:01.360 a constitutional crisis?
00:08:02.800 I don't think so.
00:08:03.580 So back away,
00:08:04.600 back away.
00:08:05.360 And there's
00:08:05.940 some reason for that.
00:08:07.740 Yeah,
00:08:08.060 you don't want to cause
00:08:08.940 a constitutional crisis.
00:08:10.080 You want to give
00:08:11.360 some deference
00:08:12.000 to the president.
00:08:12.900 You want to give
00:08:13.420 a little bit of grace
00:08:14.180 to the president
00:08:14.780 just so that
00:08:15.740 you don't have
00:08:16.740 a group of
00:08:17.300 unaccountable bureaucrats
00:08:18.320 effectively running
00:08:19.020 the country
00:08:19.400 and undermining
00:08:20.000 the way that
00:08:20.380 the system was set up.
00:08:21.960 But
00:08:22.240 do you notice
00:08:23.580 that the government
00:08:24.320 is willing to do
00:08:25.160 anything
00:08:25.760 to avoid
00:08:26.600 a constitutional crisis
00:08:27.740 with regard to Joe Biden
00:08:29.040 and yet
00:08:30.460 they're accelerating
00:08:31.260 a constitutional crisis
00:08:32.380 with regard to Trump?
00:08:34.580 This is where you know
00:08:35.600 this,
00:08:36.360 well,
00:08:36.520 let's defer
00:08:37.120 to the president.
00:08:38.500 Let's try to maintain
00:08:40.000 the constitutional order.
00:08:41.020 This is how you know
00:08:41.520 it's all BS.
00:08:42.460 It's just a power grab
00:08:43.420 by the liberals
00:08:44.120 because
00:08:45.020 the fact that
00:08:46.880 they're trying
00:08:47.300 to throw Trump
00:08:48.140 in prison
00:08:48.600 on at least
00:08:50.560 four fronts
00:08:51.340 right now
00:08:51.820 and probably more
00:08:53.060 by the 2024 election
00:08:54.400 shows you
00:08:55.580 that they don't really
00:08:56.420 care about
00:08:56.780 a constitutional crisis.
00:08:57.560 What if
00:08:57.900 Donald Trump
00:08:59.080 wins the election
00:08:59.820 from prison?
00:09:01.020 Is he going to
00:09:01.440 pardon himself?
00:09:02.340 What if it's
00:09:02.780 at the state level?
00:09:03.720 What's he going to do?
00:09:04.440 Is he going to call
00:09:04.920 in the federal marshals
00:09:05.980 to drag him
00:09:07.260 out of prison?
00:09:08.380 Of course
00:09:08.940 that's a constitutional
00:09:09.740 crisis.
00:09:11.200 The mere fact
00:09:12.080 of prosecuting
00:09:13.640 the leader
00:09:13.940 of the political
00:09:14.420 opposition
00:09:14.880 in the United States
00:09:15.600 is a constitutional
00:09:16.300 crisis.
00:09:16.840 They don't care
00:09:17.300 about that
00:09:17.660 because they don't
00:09:18.000 care about
00:09:18.280 the Constitution.
00:09:19.600 They care about
00:09:20.620 maintaining their power,
00:09:21.980 keeping Joe Biden
00:09:22.880 out of trouble,
00:09:24.060 keeping the Biden
00:09:24.660 family money rolling
00:09:25.700 in,
00:09:26.340 keeping America's
00:09:27.260 influence being
00:09:27.940 sold overseas
00:09:28.680 to the highest bidder
00:09:29.780 so that the liberal
00:09:32.780 elites can continue
00:09:33.840 to enrich themselves,
00:09:36.660 and silencing
00:09:39.020 and intimidating
00:09:40.600 and outright
00:09:41.540 imprisoning
00:09:42.340 the conservative
00:09:43.320 opposition.
00:09:45.100 Now,
00:09:45.280 when you want to
00:09:45.720 build up your
00:09:46.660 base of knowledge
00:09:47.720 as an American
00:09:48.440 conservative,
00:09:48.940 you got to check
00:09:49.320 out PragerU.

00:09:50.940 head on over

00:09:56.440 and socialism.
00:09:57.980 If we don't
00:09:58.320 reach them
00:09:58.860 and change
00:09:59.300 their minds,
00:09:59.940 the country

00:10:01.140 will be lost

00:10:42.100 making great content,
00:10:43.240 reaching millions,
00:10:43.980 and changing minds,

00:10:52.900 Even with the
00:10:53.500 prosecutions,
00:10:54.380 even with all the
00:10:54.980 threats and the
00:10:55.420 corruption,
00:10:56.780 even with COVID
00:10:57.520 lingering on the
00:10:58.180 horizon,
00:10:59.760 Trump is absolutely
00:11:01.160 crushing in the polls.
00:11:03.020 And I'm giving these
00:11:04.100 updates in particular
00:11:05.100 because we're now
00:11:06.120 one day out from
00:11:06.920 the presidential
00:11:07.520 debate,
00:11:07.980 but because
00:11:09.380 the polls are not
00:11:11.380 all over the place.
00:11:12.520 They're not up and
00:11:13.120 down and up and down
00:11:13.740 so you say,
00:11:14.120 I don't know if I can
00:11:14.620 really trust the polls.
00:11:16.240 All the polls say
00:11:17.340 the same thing,
00:11:18.100 which is that Trump
00:11:19.180 is absolutely dominating,
00:11:20.640 not just at the
00:11:21.300 national level,
00:11:22.120 but including in the
00:11:22.840 early primary states
00:11:23.840 that any potential
00:11:25.160 challenger to Trump
00:11:25.960 would have to win
00:11:26.800 to even have a shot
00:11:27.760 at the nomination.
00:11:29.660 In Des Moines,
00:11:31.000 in Iowa,
00:11:31.720 the Des Moines Register
00:11:32.520 says that Trump
00:11:33.300 is up 23 points
00:11:34.620 right now,
00:11:35.380 42 to 19
00:11:36.940 for DeSantis.
00:11:37.980 And then Tim Scott
00:11:38.800 is a full 10 points
00:11:39.640 behind DeSantis,
00:11:40.720 followed by Haley Pence,
00:11:41.900 Christie, Vivek,
00:11:43.160 Burgum, Hurd.
00:11:44.480 Who is Hurd?
00:11:46.360 I remember Burgum.
00:11:48.340 I actually don't even
00:11:49.080 remember who Hurd is.
00:11:50.280 Okay, so it doesn't matter.
00:11:51.860 What about in New Hampshire?
00:11:53.020 Right now in New Hampshire,
00:11:54.120 Echelon has a poll out,
00:11:56.020 shows Trump at 34%,
00:11:57.740 so not as dominant a lead
00:12:00.080 as he has in Iowa,
00:12:02.060 but still he's up 20 points
00:12:03.460 over the number two guy.
00:12:04.400 That's Chris Christie.
00:12:05.380 Does anybody seriously
00:12:06.380 believe that Chris,
00:12:07.020 look, I'm the biggest
00:12:08.240 proponent of the Chris
00:12:09.100 Assance that there is,
00:12:10.420 very pro-croissants,
00:12:12.300 but does anyone think
00:12:13.140 that Chris Christie
00:12:13.720 is going to win
00:12:14.220 the Republican nomination
00:12:15.040 for president?
00:12:15.680 Not very many people.
00:12:16.820 He could maybe pose
00:12:17.500 a challenge.
00:12:18.020 He could mess things up
00:12:18.820 for Ron DeSantis
00:12:20.620 or Vivek Ramaswamy,
00:12:22.080 but he's probably
00:12:23.760 not going to win it.
00:12:24.960 He's at 14.
00:12:25.960 Vivek is at number three
00:12:27.840 with 11%.
00:12:28.760 DeSantis is now fourth
00:12:30.580 in New Hampshire,
00:12:32.240 Iowa, New Hampshire,
00:12:33.420 South Carolina.
00:12:34.300 Trump has, I think,
00:12:35.060 150% at this point.
00:12:36.700 But Iowa and New Hampshire,
00:12:38.600 DeSantis has got to come in
00:12:40.200 number one
00:12:42.280 in at least one of those states
00:12:43.540 or a very close number two
00:12:46.420 to have a shot,
00:12:47.140 and he's now number four
00:12:48.140 in New Hampshire.
00:12:48.960 Not good news.
00:12:49.840 You might say,
00:12:51.160 well, it doesn't matter,
00:12:52.900 Michael, it's silly season.
00:12:53.900 We haven't had
00:12:54.700 the first debate yet.
00:12:55.940 People aren't paying
00:12:56.720 a lot of attention
00:12:57.340 to the race in the summer.
00:12:58.700 People don't really know
00:12:59.580 where they shake out.
00:13:00.660 So who knows?
00:13:01.620 Maybe DeSantis
00:13:02.480 will be able to come back.
00:13:04.540 Maybe he will.
00:13:05.320 If all of the other candidates
00:13:06.360 drop out,
00:13:06.920 I guess maybe he would
00:13:07.680 have a chance.
00:13:08.920 But this is not like
00:13:10.440 an ordinary presidential election,
00:13:11.740 which is something
00:13:12.160 I've been trying
00:13:13.320 to impress upon people.
00:13:14.940 We have not seen
00:13:15.880 an election like this
00:13:16.600 since 1888,
00:13:17.680 the last time we had
00:13:18.400 a president running
00:13:19.140 for a non-consecutive
00:13:20.080 second term.
00:13:21.520 The point of
00:13:22.880 it's silly season,
00:13:23.880 no one's paying attention,
00:13:25.040 let's wait until the debate's
00:13:25.980 kind of rhetoric,
00:13:26.760 is the notion
00:13:27.600 that the American public
00:13:28.660 does not know
00:13:30.020 the candidates yet.
00:13:30.920 So we're going to get
00:13:31.760 to know the candidates
00:13:32.480 at the debates.
00:13:34.680 Everybody knows Trump.
00:13:36.680 Everybody already knows him.
00:13:39.220 That's one of the consequences
00:13:40.620 of him running
00:13:41.260 effectively as an incumbent,
00:13:42.800 to say nothing of the fact
00:13:44.040 that he's been a celebrity
00:13:44.740 for 40 years.
00:13:46.000 He's not even showing up
00:13:47.460 to the debate.
00:13:48.800 Maybe that really hurts
00:13:49.760 his poll numbers.
00:13:50.900 I doubt that it will.
00:13:52.960 So the people
00:13:54.220 already know
00:13:56.100 the candidates.
00:13:57.980 Where's that 34%
00:13:59.320 going to move?
00:13:59.900 Where's the 42%
00:14:01.600 in Iowa going to move?
00:14:03.460 You might say,
00:14:03.900 well, that's less than 50%.
00:14:05.000 Okay, let's see
00:14:06.520 if every other candidate
00:14:07.400 drops out
00:14:08.140 and somehow
00:14:09.240 the anti-Trump forces
00:14:11.560 coalesce around
00:14:12.560 one candidate.
00:14:13.280 I'm skeptical
00:14:13.760 that would happen.
00:14:14.660 We were all waiting
00:14:15.260 for that to happen
00:14:15.880 in 2016.
00:14:16.640 Remember,
00:14:16.900 all the genius commentators
00:14:17.960 said,
00:14:18.280 that's what's going to happen.
00:14:19.240 There's going to be
00:14:19.560 anti-Trump candidate.
00:14:20.480 It'll be Ted Cruz
00:14:21.060 or Marco Rubio
00:14:21.760 or John Kasich,
00:14:23.460 they said at the end.
00:14:24.340 And then that's the person
00:14:25.600 who's going to get it.
00:14:26.140 And it never happened.
00:14:26.720 Trump just walked away
00:14:28.140 with the nomination
00:14:29.200 having had a plurality
00:14:30.640 in pretty much
00:14:31.160 all the states.
00:14:32.500 So is it going to be DeSantis?
00:14:34.780 I don't know.
00:14:35.260 Look, I love the guy.
00:14:36.060 I don't want it to sound
00:14:36.700 like I'm down on the guy.
00:14:37.620 I really like him personally.
00:14:38.960 He's super smart.
00:14:40.080 He's a very good governor.
00:14:41.360 I'd be perfectly happy
00:14:42.360 if he were the nominee
00:14:43.080 for pretty much anything
00:14:44.380 in politics.
00:14:45.420 I'm just looking
00:14:46.380 at the numbers here, folks.
00:14:47.800 Don't shoot the messenger
00:14:48.920 looking at the facts.
00:14:49.960 It's not looking good for him.
00:14:51.000 And I'm not the only one
00:14:52.080 who's saying that.
00:14:53.220 Rupert Murdoch,
00:14:53.940 according to a report,
00:14:55.160 has soured on
00:14:56.380 the DeSantis candidacy.
00:14:58.760 And apparently,
00:15:00.880 according to the Washington Post,
00:15:02.080 so take it with a grain of salt,
00:15:03.280 he encouraged Glenn Youngkin
00:15:04.680 in Virginia
00:15:05.620 to run in 2024.
00:15:09.080 And you know,
00:15:09.560 Youngkin has set the stage
00:15:12.140 to run.
00:15:13.600 Youngkin, a few months ago,
00:15:15.680 released a national ad
00:15:17.760 that positioned him
00:15:18.720 as a Reagan-esque
00:15:19.780 presidential candidate.
00:15:22.700 It's pretty overwhelming
00:15:23.920 to contemplate
00:15:25.800 the future of America.
00:15:28.340 It's such an honor
00:15:29.420 to be here
00:15:30.380 with proud Americans
00:15:31.940 who carry on
00:15:34.400 President Reagan's
00:15:35.980 cherished legacy.
00:15:38.040 He brought peace
00:15:38.900 by projecting strength.
00:15:40.820 At a time when it's easy
00:15:42.320 for us to lose faith,
00:15:43.800 to worry that
00:15:44.500 we are indeed
00:15:46.400 that one generation
00:15:48.100 when freedom
00:15:49.440 becomes extinct.
00:15:51.280 There are lights
00:15:52.420 shining.
00:15:53.700 We can usher in
00:15:54.820 a new era
00:15:55.740 of American values.
00:15:58.500 President Ronald Reagan
00:15:59.480 changed lives.
00:16:01.560 And now it's our turn.
00:16:03.200 A time to choose
00:16:04.300 life, liberty,
00:16:05.480 and the pursuit
00:16:06.100 of happiness
00:16:06.740 over oppression
00:16:08.260 and dictatorial rule.
00:16:10.320 The stakes are high.
00:16:12.680 And the consequences
00:16:13.780 couldn't be greater.
00:16:15.920 So that's an ad.
00:16:21.440 What's the point
00:16:21.860 of putting that ad out?
00:16:22.740 To announce that he had
00:16:23.420 a speech in April
00:16:24.140 at the Reagan Library?
00:16:25.160 No, the point of
00:16:25.720 putting that ad out
00:16:26.400 is to test the waters
00:16:27.340 to see if he can be president.
00:16:28.600 He's coming to Atlanta
00:16:29.580 this Saturday
00:16:30.760 to serve as the
00:16:31.740 closing speaker
00:16:32.640 at a conference
00:16:33.380 that Eric Erickson,
00:16:34.900 you know Eric Erickson,
00:16:35.680 the conservative writer,
00:16:36.600 has organized
00:16:37.280 to showcase
00:16:37.920 a bunch of Republican
00:16:39.020 presidential candidates
00:16:39.920 and all of a sudden
00:16:40.680 Glenn Youngkin shows up.
00:16:42.760 Why is he doing this?
00:16:44.540 I don't think
00:16:45.480 he's doing this
00:16:46.120 because he's going to
00:16:46.660 announce a run for president.
00:16:47.740 I think he would be
00:16:48.680 a lunatic
00:16:49.860 to announce a run
00:16:50.980 for president.
00:16:51.600 I think he would be
00:16:52.220 absolutely suicidal
00:16:53.560 to announce a run
00:16:54.980 for president
00:16:55.500 because he's an
00:16:57.080 attractive candidate.
00:16:58.120 He had a big upset
00:16:59.120 win in Virginia
00:16:59.920 that actually
00:17:00.580 some reporting
00:17:02.200 from certain news outlets
00:17:03.440 that rhyme with
00:17:03.940 Bailey Schmeyer
00:17:04.720 seem to have
00:17:05.780 helped across
00:17:07.440 the finish line.
00:17:09.260 He's an impressive guy.
00:17:10.480 But if he were
00:17:12.300 to declare right now,
00:17:13.560 what is to prevent him
00:17:14.760 from going into
00:17:15.320 the same exact
00:17:16.040 meat grinder
00:17:16.680 that Ron DeSantis
00:17:17.680 is going into?
00:17:18.260 Ron DeSantis
00:17:18.620 is the most impressive
00:17:19.260 governor in the country
00:17:20.040 and he has been
00:17:22.340 brutalized
00:17:23.980 by the Trump
00:17:24.540 campaign machine.
00:17:26.240 What is to stop
00:17:27.100 the same fate
00:17:27.680 from happening
00:17:28.340 to Glenn Youngkin?
00:17:29.120 So then why is he doing it?
00:17:30.300 I think that Glenn Youngkin
00:17:31.560 is doing this.
00:17:33.040 One,
00:17:33.560 in case something
00:17:34.160 happens with Trump,
00:17:35.020 we're in a really
00:17:35.480 tempestuous race
00:17:36.400 where they're trying
00:17:37.040 to throw the guy
00:17:37.460 in an orange jumpsuit,
00:17:38.360 so who knows?
00:17:38.880 And we've got two
00:17:39.360 relatively elderly
00:17:40.420 candidates
00:17:40.900 even though Trump
00:17:41.760 is youthful
00:17:42.460 and vigorous
00:17:42.900 in all the things
00:17:43.420 he says he is.
00:17:44.460 So, I don't know,
00:17:45.260 who knows?
00:17:45.640 Maybe he ends up
00:17:46.280 not being able to run
00:17:47.060 for one reason or another
00:17:48.220 and then potentially
00:17:49.600 Youngkin could jump in
00:17:50.360 at the end
00:17:50.800 or he's running
00:17:52.140 for VP
00:17:52.520 or he's running
00:17:53.480 for a cabinet post.
00:17:55.240 But Youngkin
00:17:56.280 cannot afford
00:17:57.340 to get on Trump's
00:17:58.480 bad side.
00:18:00.160 One thing,
00:18:01.120 one mistake
00:18:01.900 that people make
00:18:03.820 in politics
00:18:04.380 is when they look
00:18:04.980 at all these candidates,
00:18:06.120 they assume
00:18:06.940 that the circumstances
00:18:08.040 surrounding all these
00:18:08.960 candidates are the same.
00:18:09.820 They assume
00:18:10.500 they're all playing
00:18:11.020 from the same
00:18:11.660 basic premises.
00:18:13.820 Oh, Youngkin's
00:18:14.620 the governor of Virginia,
00:18:16.160 DeSantis is the governor
00:18:16.960 of Florida.
00:18:17.640 Okay, so the same
00:18:18.240 calculus applies.
00:18:19.300 It doesn't.
00:18:20.500 The reason that DeSantis
00:18:21.440 is running now
00:18:22.120 is because he's going
00:18:22.620 to get term limited
00:18:23.300 out two years
00:18:23.940 before the next
00:18:24.500 presidential race
00:18:25.260 and people are going
00:18:25.980 to forget about him
00:18:26.680 over those two years,
00:18:27.460 at least that's what
00:18:27.960 he fears.
00:18:28.740 And so he wants
00:18:30.100 to run while it's
00:18:30.980 still his moment.
00:18:31.980 His big peak moment
00:18:33.400 of national fame
00:18:34.760 came during COVID
00:18:35.960 when he stood up
00:18:36.800 against Fauci
00:18:37.480 and when he stood
00:18:38.280 up against all
00:18:38.800 the mandates.
00:18:39.740 And so he has
00:18:40.240 to capitalize on that
00:18:41.380 because in politics,
00:18:43.380 like comedy,
00:18:44.160 timing is everything.
00:18:45.760 He's going to get
00:18:46.420 termed out
00:18:46.900 and then who knows
00:18:47.520 where he goes.
00:18:48.700 He's got to run
00:18:49.440 even if it's a tough year.
00:18:51.240 Youngkin is going
00:18:52.320 to get term limited
00:18:53.020 out at the end
00:18:54.720 of this term
00:18:55.400 because Virginia
00:18:56.440 is a weird
00:18:57.000 commonwealth.
00:18:58.020 In Virginia,
00:18:58.560 you can't run
00:18:59.360 consecutive terms
00:19:00.320 for governor.
00:19:01.220 So Youngkin
00:19:04.240 gets elected.
00:19:06.400 He's elected
00:19:07.140 in 21.
00:19:07.920 He's inaugurated
00:19:08.920 in 24.
00:19:09.560 He's going to be
00:19:10.000 out in 2026.
00:19:11.540 It's a four-year term.
00:19:12.900 That means he can't
00:19:13.600 run again until 2029.
00:19:15.540 He can't even run
00:19:16.460 for his second term
00:19:17.200 until after the next
00:19:18.720 presidential election.
00:19:20.620 Maybe people will
00:19:21.560 forget about him
00:19:22.100 by then.
00:19:23.180 Maybe he'll be
00:19:23.780 more seasoned.
00:19:24.520 Maybe he at least
00:19:25.080 wants that opportunity
00:19:26.000 to run again
00:19:26.620 for re-election.
00:19:27.660 But who knows?
00:19:29.320 His political future
00:19:30.580 is much more
00:19:32.280 precarious and delicate
00:19:33.760 simply by virtue
00:19:34.980 of the fact
00:19:35.340 that he's from Virginia
00:19:36.020 than Ron DeSantis' is.
00:19:37.540 So he's got to be
00:19:38.060 very careful.
00:19:38.660 If he gets ground up
00:19:39.700 by Trump right now,
00:19:40.740 the guy's done.
00:19:41.960 He's done at the state level,
00:19:43.460 at the national level.
00:19:44.360 So his smart move
00:19:45.240 is going to be
00:19:45.860 to sit in the background,
00:19:47.460 wait for some of these
00:19:48.300 candidates to get
00:19:49.020 chewed up by Trump,
00:19:49.980 and then potentially
00:19:50.880 either step in
00:19:51.760 if Trump's been
00:19:52.540 pushed out of the way,
00:19:53.560 or get a nice position
00:19:55.840 by President Covfefe.
00:19:57.380 In the meantime,
00:19:58.660 the potential number two
00:19:59.740 candidates who are
00:20:00.460 in the race
00:20:00.800 are about to murder
00:20:01.800 each other in Milwaukee.
00:20:03.240 We'll get to that
00:20:03.740 in one second.
00:20:04.460 First, though,
00:20:05.460 as I give you
00:20:06.180 a little window
00:20:07.140 into the political
00:20:10.100 calculation
00:20:10.680 and the GOP right now,
00:20:12.200 let's talk about
00:20:12.740 the windows in your home.
00:20:13.700 Let's talk about

00:20:18.980 For most homeowners,
00:20:19.980 window replacement
00:20:20.620 is not something
00:20:21.480 they've done before,
00:20:22.380 and for many,
00:20:23.500 it isn't something
00:20:24.340 that they want to do,
00:20:25.280 but rather something
00:20:26.040 they have to do.
00:20:27.380 If you've put off
00:20:28.160 replacing the windows
00:20:28.940 in your home
00:20:29.420 because they're
00:20:29.860 too expensive,

00:21:36.780 Folks, it is here.
00:21:38.300 You know,
00:21:38.580 things happen gradually
00:21:39.640 and then suddenly,
00:21:41.120 as Andrew Klavan
00:21:42.000 is fond of quoting
00:21:42.960 Ernest Hemingway of saying.
00:21:45.260 Took two years
00:21:45.820 to get my set.
00:21:47.280 Now we've got it.
00:21:48.820 It took
00:21:49.620 years
00:21:51.120 to get the
00:21:51.700 Yes or No game.
00:21:52.600 The favorite game
00:21:53.340 of everybody out there.
00:21:54.520 The most beloved,
00:21:55.340 cherished,
00:21:56.040 controversial
00:21:56.720 internet game show game
00:21:57.500 in the world.
00:21:58.740 And then it took
00:21:59.760 what, a year?
00:22:00.880 A solid year
00:22:01.540 to get
00:22:02.100 Yes or No?
00:22:04.020 The Conspiracy
00:22:04.900 Expansion Pack.
00:22:05.940 This box looks
00:22:07.060 excellent.
00:22:07.940 It's a beautiful pack.
00:22:09.320 It's available
00:22:10.220 right now.
00:22:11.140 It's gonna sell out
00:22:12.300 just like all
00:22:13.420 of the Yes or No games
00:22:14.340 sell out.
00:22:15.160 So make sure
00:22:15.720 if you want it,
00:22:16.360 you go to
00:22:16.620 dailywire.com
00:22:17.640 slash shop.
00:22:18.440 We've got a new episode
00:22:19.520 of Yes or No
00:22:20.020 right now
00:22:20.440 with my friend,
00:22:21.620 Eric July.
00:22:23.160 Every Hollywood superhero
00:22:24.580 moving forward
00:22:25.360 will be required
00:22:26.160 to have at least
00:22:27.060 one LGBTQ character
00:22:28.760 shoved into the story.
00:22:30.100 What do you mean
00:22:30.380 moving forward?
00:22:31.260 We're already there, buddy.
00:22:32.620 Right now,
00:22:47.020 go to
00:22:47.200 dailywire.com

00:22:48.560 Get your copy
00:22:49.380 of the Yes or No game.
00:22:50.700 We still have some
00:22:51.600 boxes of that.
00:22:53.640 They are going to sell out.
00:22:54.820 So if you haven't
00:22:55.320 bought the game yet,
00:22:56.040 make sure you get
00:22:56.480 the game now
00:22:57.000 if you are ever
00:22:57.620 going to want it.
00:22:58.080 And also,
00:22:59.200 get the Yes or No
00:23:00.360 expansion pack.
00:23:01.000 I believe they are
00:23:01.980 still in stock,
00:23:03.000 but you should order
00:23:03.620 them now.
00:23:04.260 The super conspiracy
00:23:06.420 expansion.
00:23:08.180 What's a conspiracy
00:23:08.740 theory?
00:23:10.180 Conspiracy theory
00:23:11.020 is a truth
00:23:11.780 six months early.
00:23:12.580 That's what it is.
00:23:14.820 The two guys
00:23:16.200 who are vying
00:23:17.160 for number two
00:23:18.100 are going
00:23:19.920 to murder
00:23:21.400 each other.
00:23:22.340 They're at least
00:23:22.880 going to try
00:23:23.420 to murder each other
00:23:24.200 in Milwaukee
00:23:24.920 on that debate stage.
00:23:26.040 I'm talking about
00:23:26.920 Florida Governor
00:23:27.880 Ron DeSantis
00:23:28.440 and anti-woke
00:23:29.520 businessman
00:23:30.020 Vivek Ramaswamy.
00:23:32.200 Here's my proof.
00:23:34.400 An article came out
00:23:35.700 yesterday from ABC.
00:23:38.600 And it popped up
00:23:39.820 in my Google alerts,
00:23:41.500 I think,
00:23:41.820 or it popped up
00:23:42.280 on my feed.
00:23:43.480 I said,
00:23:43.740 why is this popping up?
00:23:44.440 I don't have alerts
00:23:45.100 on Vivek.
00:23:46.120 Like the guy,
00:23:47.020 but you know,
00:23:47.560 I don't monitor
00:23:48.440 his every move.
00:23:49.200 No, it's because
00:23:49.680 it mentioned
00:23:50.040 the Daily Wire.
00:23:50.840 Here's the headline.
00:23:52.920 Wanting to be famous.
00:23:54.640 How Vivek Ramaswamy
00:23:55.860 sought podcast stardom
00:23:57.900 prior to White House run.
00:24:00.840 Quote,
00:24:01.120 he's been wanting
00:24:01.860 to be famous
00:24:02.700 for a long time.
00:24:04.920 One former aide
00:24:06.100 told ABC News.
00:24:10.400 The politician
00:24:11.420 wanted name recognition?
00:24:12.720 Oh, gee,
00:24:13.060 you don't say.
00:24:13.840 Stop the presses.
00:24:15.500 Hey, guys,
00:24:16.340 stop the presses.
00:24:17.320 An author
00:24:17.840 and commentator
00:24:18.940 and politician
00:24:20.520 wanted to get
00:24:21.940 some attention
00:24:22.520 for the stuff
00:24:23.560 he wants to do.
00:24:24.280 Can you imagine?
00:24:24.640 Hold on.
00:24:26.060 So unlike
00:24:26.720 all of those other candidates
00:24:27.680 who hate fame,
00:24:29.120 who hate influence,
00:24:30.320 they don't want
00:24:30.740 any part of that,
00:24:31.420 right?
00:24:31.980 Okay,
00:24:32.420 so it's this long
00:24:33.420 hit piece
00:24:34.000 from ABC News.
00:24:35.600 This is weird.
00:24:36.340 This is where it involved
00:24:36.880 the Daily Wire.
00:24:38.680 Said,
00:24:39.080 heading into 2022,
00:24:40.220 Ramaswamy had inked a deal
00:24:41.360 and been working
00:24:42.620 with the popular
00:24:43.340 right-wing media company
00:24:44.220 The Daily Wire
00:24:44.800 on a project
00:24:45.420 that was ultimately scrapped,
00:24:46.960 according to multiple sources
00:24:48.420 familiar with the project.
00:24:49.880 The deal was unlike anything
00:24:50.940 The Daily Wire
00:24:51.440 had previously done
00:24:52.220 with its talent.
00:24:54.100 Now,
00:24:54.400 before we get to that part,
00:24:55.480 I want to point out,
00:24:56.140 I think we may have mentioned
00:24:57.800 that we were working
00:24:58.520 with Vivek on something.
00:24:59.600 I mean,
00:24:59.740 I've mentioned,
00:25:00.440 obviously,
00:25:00.780 he and I go back
00:25:01.300 to college together.
00:25:03.040 Vivek is friends
00:25:03.780 with a number of us
00:25:04.480 over here.
00:25:05.540 I don't think this is
00:25:06.160 some big super secret thing.
00:25:07.240 He's been on all
00:25:07.960 of our shows.
00:25:09.020 We worked with him
00:25:09.880 on plenty of stuff.
00:25:11.120 They say,
00:25:11.460 oh,
00:25:11.880 but he'd inked a deal.
00:25:13.340 He was working with,
00:25:14.280 he was maybe going to work
00:25:15.120 with The Daily Wire
00:25:15.900 until he decided
00:25:17.120 to run for president.
00:25:18.080 He was maybe going to do
00:25:18.980 this,
00:25:19.200 that,
00:25:19.300 or the other thing.
00:25:20.560 But then,
00:25:21.000 this is the line
00:25:21.460 that got me.
00:25:21.920 It said,
00:25:22.020 the deal
00:25:23.000 was unlike anything
00:25:24.840 The Daily Wire
00:25:25.360 had previously done
00:25:26.060 with its talent.
00:25:26.900 The company,
00:25:27.840 which in 2022
00:25:28.700 said it made $200 million,
00:25:30.180 signed Ramaswamy
00:25:31.160 in the hope of
00:25:31.880 developing a show
00:25:33.340 around him.
00:25:37.300 You mean the thing
00:25:38.380 that Daily Wire
00:25:38.920 has done with all
00:25:39.620 of its talent ever,
00:25:40.680 that it's ever hired?
00:25:42.120 What do you mean?
00:25:43.160 It was a deal
00:25:43.940 unlike anything
00:25:44.740 we've ever done.
00:25:45.700 We hired a guy
00:25:46.800 and then built
00:25:47.680 a show around him.
00:25:49.700 What else
00:25:50.900 are we going to do?
00:25:52.040 We're going to build
00:25:52.760 a show around him
00:25:53.420 before we hire him.
00:25:54.440 What is the deal?
00:25:55.480 No, okay,
00:25:55.940 maybe they get specific here.
00:25:57.540 The project,
00:25:58.800 which was scheduled
00:25:59.580 to debut in 2022,
00:26:01.640 would have seen Ramaswamy
00:26:03.040 as the face
00:26:04.040 of a new podcast.
00:26:05.320 Oh, yeah,
00:26:05.640 it's unlike anything
00:26:06.300 we've ever done.
00:26:06.780 We've never done
00:26:07.240 podcasts around here,
00:26:08.340 but it's a podcast
00:26:09.780 focused on politics
00:26:11.800 and the economy,
00:26:14.860 according to multiple sources
00:26:16.280 familiar with its development.
00:26:18.440 So at this point,
00:26:19.420 I'm reading this piece.
00:26:20.100 I say,
00:26:20.300 what is even
00:26:21.840 the point of this piece?
00:26:23.800 One,
00:26:24.600 pretty weak journalism.
00:26:26.040 It's a deal
00:26:26.840 unlike anything
00:26:27.560 The Daily Wire
00:26:28.100 has ever done.
00:26:28.920 Literally the exact same thing
00:26:30.100 it's done with every single person
00:26:31.100 it's ever hired.
00:26:32.180 So,
00:26:32.500 and they did that,
00:26:33.120 but then it didn't happen
00:26:34.300 because Vivek started
00:26:35.600 another company
00:26:36.220 and then ran for president.
00:26:38.360 But here's what,
00:26:39.680 here's what it's telling
00:26:41.160 about the piece.
00:26:41.940 When asked for comment
00:26:43.040 on this story,
00:26:43.680 Ramaswamy senior advisor,
00:26:44.960 Tricia McLaughlin,
00:26:46.180 told ABC News
00:26:46.960 referring to DeSantis,
00:26:48.180 quote,
00:26:48.680 does one of your sources
00:26:49.500 live in a publicly
00:26:50.540 financed mansion
00:26:51.520 in Tallahassee, Florida?
00:26:53.240 So the Vivek team
00:26:54.440 is accusing
00:26:55.220 the DeSantis team
00:26:56.280 of planting this story
00:26:58.140 as a hit piece
00:26:59.000 on Vivek.
00:26:59.840 And I don't know
00:27:00.380 if DeSantis
00:27:00.780 had anything to do
00:27:01.540 with this story
00:27:02.140 or anyone even
00:27:02.880 associated with DeSantis.
00:27:04.080 Who knows?
00:27:04.700 Maybe it was Doug Burgum.
00:27:05.940 Maybe it was Chris Christie.
00:27:07.300 I don't,
00:27:07.820 I have no idea
00:27:08.200 who it is.
00:27:09.520 But this piece
00:27:10.820 is a pre-debate hit piece.
00:27:12.840 That's all it is.
00:27:13.580 Because the thesis
00:27:14.840 of this piece
00:27:15.680 is nothing other than
00:27:17.480 I don't like Vivek Ramaswamy.
00:27:20.940 What's the allegation?
00:27:22.380 The allegation is
00:27:23.240 he wants to be influential.
00:27:26.240 The allegation is
00:27:27.380 he almost had a podcast
00:27:28.320 like every single
00:27:30.100 white millennial male
00:27:32.280 in the country,
00:27:33.160 if not the world.
00:27:35.460 Like, and many,
00:27:36.640 podcasting is particularly
00:27:39.080 concentrated among
00:27:40.780 white millennial males.
00:27:42.240 But there are many
00:27:42.860 other people,
00:27:43.240 some women,
00:27:44.460 some non-white people,
00:27:46.040 some non-millennials even.
00:27:47.800 But a lot of people
00:27:48.340 have podcasts.
00:27:49.980 What is the,
00:27:52.200 it's just wanting
00:27:53.400 to be famous.
00:27:53.920 That's the headline.
00:27:54.500 He's a big jerk.
00:27:55.680 That's all it says.
00:27:56.480 We don't like Vivek.
00:27:58.400 That's the point.
00:27:58.900 The point of this is
00:27:59.640 this guy's getting
00:28:00.320 a lot of attention.
00:28:02.240 He's got a lot of momentum
00:28:03.420 going into the debate.
00:28:04.400 And so we want
00:28:04.920 to take him down.
00:28:05.580 Expect a lot of pieces
00:28:06.580 like that.
00:28:07.580 Again, I'm not accusing
00:28:08.980 the DeSantis camp
00:28:09.740 of planting it.
00:28:10.380 If I were in
00:28:10.940 the DeSantis camp,
00:28:11.900 I would plant
00:28:12.740 something like that.
00:28:13.640 So I don't,
00:28:14.420 I think it would be
00:28:15.040 reasonable and smart
00:28:16.520 for them to do
00:28:16.960 that sort of thing.
00:28:18.400 And I think that
00:28:19.520 the supposedly leaked
00:28:21.000 memo from the
00:28:21.860 DeSantis debate team
00:28:23.140 saying that DeSantis
00:28:25.220 is going to go after
00:28:26.200 Vivek really hard
00:28:27.180 in Milwaukee,
00:28:28.020 I think that's
00:28:28.460 probably smart too.
00:28:29.480 He has to.
00:28:30.780 Because Vivek
00:28:31.580 is the threat
00:28:32.360 in at least
00:28:32.880 some of the early states
00:28:34.080 and certainly
00:28:34.860 in the national polls.
00:28:35.940 Vivek is the
00:28:36.520 threat to DeSantis.
00:28:37.260 So DeSantis
00:28:37.700 has to go after Vivek.
00:28:39.460 If he doesn't,
00:28:40.680 he would be derelicting
00:28:41.660 his duty as a candidate,
00:28:43.260 his duty to his voters
00:28:44.900 and to his donors
00:28:45.880 and to himself
00:28:47.760 and to his campaign.
00:28:49.860 Vivek for his part
00:28:50.960 is going to have
00:28:51.980 to go after DeSantis.
00:28:53.520 They're vying
00:28:54.260 for the same position.
00:28:57.040 Chris Christie,
00:28:57.900 who's behind
00:28:58.460 both of those guys
00:28:59.300 by a considerable margin,
00:29:01.540 he's going to have
00:29:02.680 to go after
00:29:03.520 DeSantis first
00:29:04.940 and then maybe
00:29:06.060 Vivek.
00:29:07.560 He has to.
00:29:08.580 Even though Christie's
00:29:09.380 whole campaign
00:29:10.140 is premised on the idea
00:29:11.560 that he is going to
00:29:12.560 bring the fight
00:29:13.080 to Donald Trump,
00:29:14.340 none of these guys
00:29:15.280 are really going to
00:29:16.160 bring the fight
00:29:16.600 to Donald Trump.
00:29:17.880 They'll all get
00:29:18.640 some zinger in there.
00:29:19.720 They'll all have a,
00:29:20.680 but they will only
00:29:21.620 be doing that
00:29:22.460 to harm
00:29:23.680 the other candidates
00:29:24.720 who are actually
00:29:25.440 on that stage.
00:29:26.640 Because Chris Christie
00:29:27.820 is not going to go
00:29:28.380 from 3%
00:29:29.220 to 43%
00:29:30.380 like Donald Trump
00:29:31.220 in one debate.
00:29:32.060 It's not going to happen.
00:29:32.680 He's going to have
00:29:33.340 to knock
00:29:33.580 the other guys out.
00:29:34.400 So all of the incentives
00:29:36.000 for the debate
00:29:37.620 are going to be
00:29:39.240 for the guys
00:29:40.080 on that stage
00:29:40.940 to fight each other.
00:29:43.180 That's all it's going to be.
00:29:45.920 You might say,
00:29:46.840 well,
00:29:46.920 they should just
00:29:47.440 attack Donald Trump.
00:29:48.940 They should just focus.
00:29:50.060 Yeah,
00:29:50.440 maybe.
00:29:51.660 If,
00:29:51.860 you know,
00:29:52.380 if it were possible
00:29:53.720 for them to just
00:29:54.460 attack Donald Trump,
00:29:55.380 that would be better
00:29:55.880 for the party.
00:29:56.440 If my grandma had wheels,
00:29:57.840 she would be a wagon.
00:29:58.840 Okay?
00:29:59.800 The incentives
00:30:00.640 are not there,
00:30:01.220 which is what I've said
00:30:02.060 about this race
00:30:02.700 from the beginning.
00:30:04.340 People say,
00:30:04.680 well,
00:30:04.780 what if we all
00:30:05.340 just turn on Trump?
00:30:07.880 I don't think
00:30:09.100 that would be
00:30:09.460 a good thing.
00:30:10.480 But even if that
00:30:11.520 were a good thing,
00:30:12.240 it's not going to happen,
00:30:13.600 guys.
00:30:14.060 There are structural
00:30:15.460 issues built in.
00:30:18.140 Now,
00:30:18.800 all of the top candidates,
00:30:20.780 this is what I love
00:30:21.560 so much about
00:30:22.060 the 2024 primary,
00:30:23.460 all of the top candidates,
00:30:25.600 even arguably
00:30:26.660 including Vivek,
00:30:27.740 but certainly Trump
00:30:28.560 and DeSantis,
00:30:29.480 are running
00:30:30.580 relatively illiberal
00:30:33.060 campaigns.
00:30:34.300 They're not running
00:30:35.280 on the same old
00:30:36.780 crap that we've heard
00:30:38.320 from the GOP
00:30:39.060 and certainly from
00:30:39.740 the Democrats
00:30:40.180 for 50 years.
00:30:42.000 They're not running
00:30:43.020 on,
00:30:44.220 I don't care
00:30:45.020 what you believe,
00:30:46.760 just that you
00:30:48.360 think for yourself.
00:30:49.920 I don't care
00:30:50.960 what our students
00:30:52.160 are taught.
00:30:53.200 I don't want to teach
00:30:53.940 them what to think,
00:30:54.600 just how to think.
00:30:56.100 I don't,
00:30:56.580 listen,
00:30:57.480 we don't care
00:30:58.140 about borders
00:30:58.880 or immigration
00:31:00.240 or trade deals
00:31:01.240 or people
00:31:02.160 in middle America.
00:31:03.140 We just care
00:31:03.940 about the free
00:31:04.600 marketplace
00:31:05.120 of goods
00:31:06.400 and services
00:31:06.960 and the free
00:31:07.420 marketplace of ideas
00:31:08.460 and we don't believe
00:31:09.360 that anything's true
00:31:10.140 or good
00:31:10.620 or right
00:31:11.240 or anything.
00:31:11.900 No,
00:31:12.420 we're just,
00:31:13.100 we're just whatever,
00:31:14.320 man.
00:31:14.940 Shut up
00:31:15.320 and leave me alone
00:31:16.060 and cut my taxes.
00:31:17.560 None of the top
00:31:18.420 candidates are running
00:31:19.140 on that at all.
00:31:20.800 Trump is running
00:31:21.480 on build a wall,
00:31:22.640 even if he's not
00:31:23.140 going to do it.
00:31:23.880 He's at least running
00:31:24.580 on build a wall,
00:31:25.560 stop outsourcing jobs,
00:31:27.400 slap a bunch of tariffs
00:31:28.420 on foreign businesses
00:31:29.740 so we can stop globalization,
00:31:31.820 mercantilism for the 21st century,
00:31:34.620 salute the flag,
00:31:36.020 stop being a jerk,
00:31:37.560 believe in,
00:31:38.180 make America great again.
00:31:39.640 America used to be greater
00:31:40.620 than it is today.
00:31:42.200 Cut all the crap
00:31:42.880 with liberalism.
00:31:44.840 DeSantis arguably
00:31:46.300 is doing that
00:31:46.980 even more than Trump.
00:31:48.820 DeSantis goes in,
00:31:49.740 he took over a school
00:31:50.680 in Florida,
00:31:51.340 a new college,
00:31:52.460 and he said,
00:31:53.020 we're going to kick
00:31:53.380 the wokeness out of here
00:31:54.420 and we're going to put
00:31:55.240 good people on the board
00:31:56.420 and we're going to ban
00:31:57.520 bad things
00:31:58.220 and we're going to
00:31:58.720 encourage good things.
00:32:00.000 And, you know,
00:32:00.620 I know that the DeSantis team
00:32:02.280 has gotten in trouble
00:32:03.280 with the liberal media
00:32:04.160 for supposedly banning books
00:32:06.240 and then the squishy people
00:32:07.420 on the right come in
00:32:08.240 and they say,
00:32:08.540 he's not banning books.
00:32:09.400 He is banning books
00:32:10.280 and he's right to ban books.
00:32:11.760 He's banning
00:32:12.500 gay porn
00:32:14.360 in elementary schools.
00:32:15.480 That's a good thing to do.
00:32:16.800 We're for that.
00:32:18.380 I'm not saying
00:32:18.900 we just go out
00:32:19.460 and have pyres
00:32:21.060 of books burning
00:32:22.140 of Shakespeare
00:32:23.300 and Dante
00:32:23.880 and Milton,
00:32:24.360 but we certainly
00:32:25.400 should ban
00:32:26.460 bad books
00:32:27.260 from kindergarten
00:32:28.420 classrooms
00:32:28.900 at the very least.
00:32:30.940 Book banning
00:32:31.520 is not,
00:32:32.240 it's not the worst
00:32:32.900 thing in the world.
00:32:33.660 Every smart person
00:32:34.660 in history
00:32:35.060 has done it.
00:32:36.640 Plato was in favor
00:32:37.500 of book bans
00:32:38.180 and book burning.
00:32:39.540 The apostles
00:32:40.460 in the Acts
00:32:41.480 in the New Testament
00:32:43.360 burn books,
00:32:45.380 the books
00:32:45.920 of the sorcerers
00:32:46.880 in the New Testament.
00:32:48.380 You've got
00:32:48.960 plenty of
00:32:51.680 doctors of the church
00:32:52.720 have included
00:32:53.320 or have encouraged
00:32:54.620 the banning of books.
00:32:56.400 The Vatican
00:32:56.780 until very,
00:32:57.360 very recently
00:32:57.760 had a list
00:32:58.440 of prohibited books
00:32:59.180 and even if you're
00:33:00.000 of a more
00:33:00.420 Protestant persuasion,
00:33:02.900 Martin Luther
00:33:03.280 was a big fan
00:33:03.860 of burning books.
00:33:04.660 Okay,
00:33:04.780 I'm not saying
00:33:05.140 we should indiscriminately
00:33:06.060 burn all sorts of books
00:33:06.980 or be Philistines
00:33:07.680 or be ignorant
00:33:08.820 or backward
00:33:09.480 or anything like that,
00:33:10.500 but we have obscenity laws
00:33:12.080 in this country
00:33:12.520 for a reason.
00:33:13.420 There are certain things
00:33:14.080 that are not conducive
00:33:14.840 to our virtue
00:33:15.420 or our edification
00:33:16.340 or our education
00:33:17.220 that are actually
00:33:17.860 contrary to that
00:33:18.740 and that encourage vice
00:33:19.720 and make us dumber
00:33:20.420 and more bestial
00:33:21.200 and that's the sort of stuff
00:33:22.980 that we should get
00:33:23.420 out of the public square.
00:33:24.240 Well, DeSantis
00:33:24.780 has done that too.
00:33:26.080 Even Vivek
00:33:26.740 in his attacks
00:33:27.380 on the woke corporations
00:33:28.300 on ESG and DEI,
00:33:30.380 he's running
00:33:30.780 a fairly illiberal campaign,
00:33:33.780 modern, classical
00:33:34.680 or otherwise.
00:33:36.400 Well,
00:33:36.720 we're seeing
00:33:37.340 a really good example
00:33:38.840 of that
00:33:39.280 outside of our country
00:33:40.560 in Hungary.
00:33:41.560 Hungary just had
00:33:42.360 a celebration
00:33:43.520 of its nation's birth
00:33:44.700 in the form
00:33:46.680 of St. Stephen Day.
00:33:48.140 St. Stephen
00:33:48.800 was the first
00:33:50.520 king of Hungary.
00:33:52.760 This was around
00:33:53.560 the year 1000
00:33:54.480 and the government
00:33:56.500 is actually justified
00:33:58.400 on the crown
00:33:59.340 of St. Stephen.
00:34:00.060 So how did they celebrate?
00:34:01.020 They had big festivals
00:34:01.900 all day long.
00:34:02.640 I was just in Budapest.
00:34:03.620 It's a beautiful place.
00:34:04.640 And then at the end,
00:34:05.500 they had these drones
00:34:06.740 fly up into the sky
00:34:07.980 and create an image
00:34:09.180 of the Hungarian
00:34:10.200 coat of arms,
00:34:11.060 then the crown
00:34:11.700 of St. Stephen,
00:34:12.400 and then
00:34:13.560 this is what was
00:34:14.620 controversial
00:34:15.200 and crucial,
00:34:16.440 pun very much intended.
00:34:18.100 The drones
00:34:18.780 dissolved
00:34:20.000 and formed
00:34:20.680 into a cross.
00:34:22.920 The cross of Christ
00:34:24.500 in lights
00:34:25.460 in the sky
00:34:26.300 to celebrate
00:34:27.520 the nation's
00:34:29.340 identity.
00:34:32.920 Which
00:34:33.600 is
00:34:34.720 part and parcel
00:34:36.080 of
00:34:37.220 the excellent
00:34:38.360 prime minister
00:34:38.920 over there,
00:34:39.340 Prime Minister Orban,
00:34:40.200 saying that
00:34:42.380 Hungary
00:34:42.700 is not a liberal
00:34:43.500 democracy.
00:34:44.180 It's an illiberal
00:34:44.800 democracy.
00:34:45.580 And what he means
00:34:46.060 by illiberal democracy,
00:34:47.240 he says,
00:34:47.680 is Christian democracy.
00:34:50.500 We're a Christian
00:34:51.360 nation,
00:34:51.820 a Christian democracy.
00:34:53.640 What's so amazing,
00:34:54.460 you're going to hear
00:34:54.860 some libs
00:34:56.120 screech about fascism.
00:34:57.540 Oh,
00:34:57.700 it's fascist.
00:34:59.300 Everything I don't
00:35:00.100 like is fascist.
00:35:02.780 Not only is this
00:35:03.740 not fascist,
00:35:04.620 obviously,
00:35:04.860 not only does this
00:35:05.560 have nothing to do
00:35:06.080 with fascism,
00:35:06.620 not only is
00:35:08.940 Viktor Orban
00:35:09.440 popularly,
00:35:10.220 democratically elected,
00:35:11.620 so they say
00:35:12.660 he's a tyrant
00:35:13.260 or a dictator,
00:35:13.940 he's stolen elections,
00:35:14.720 complete BS.
00:35:15.760 Not only is
00:35:16.540 Christianity
00:35:17.120 not synonymous
00:35:17.760 with fascism,
00:35:18.600 the fascists
00:35:19.020 were actually
00:35:19.340 rather opposed
00:35:19.900 to Christianity,
00:35:20.940 but this is
00:35:22.940 the sort of thing
00:35:23.620 that we did
00:35:24.400 in our own country
00:35:25.560 not so long ago.
00:35:27.840 Here's a picture
00:35:28.280 from 1956.
00:35:29.400 Rod Dreher
00:35:29.880 just pointed this out
00:35:30.720 on Twitter.
00:35:32.060 Picture from 1956,
00:35:33.520 Easter Sunday,
00:35:34.280 New York City,
00:35:35.200 the three big buildings,
00:35:36.360 big skyscrapers,
00:35:37.620 all have their windows,
00:35:40.200 the lights turned on
00:35:41.500 to be crosses
00:35:43.660 for Easter Sunday.
00:35:45.440 All three,
00:35:46.980 like the three crosses
00:35:47.780 on Mount Calvary.
00:35:49.940 This was New York City,
00:35:51.600 1956.
00:35:52.580 And in 1956 in Hungary,
00:35:54.760 the communists
00:35:55.620 had taken over
00:35:56.380 and Christianity
00:35:57.540 was quashed,
00:35:58.760 Christianity was suppressed
00:35:59.720 by that officially
00:36:00.440 atheistic regime.
00:36:02.240 And Rod made the point,
00:36:03.480 he said,
00:36:04.580 what was unthinkable
00:36:06.340 in Hungary
00:36:07.000 in 1956
00:36:07.800 is happening today.
00:36:10.180 And what was
00:36:11.040 commonplace in America
00:36:12.120 in 1956
00:36:12.940 is unthinkable today.
00:36:15.220 What a switch
00:36:16.280 that is.
00:36:17.080 I was thinking about
00:36:17.820 this the other day
00:36:18.480 because Xi Jinping,
00:36:20.700 the supposedly
00:36:22.420 communist dictator
00:36:23.600 of communist China,
00:36:25.480 came out
00:36:25.860 and he said
00:36:26.180 that he was not
00:36:26.840 going to give
00:36:27.320 stimulus checks
00:36:28.060 to his people
00:36:29.040 because he didn't
00:36:30.040 want to get hooked
00:36:30.700 on welfarism.
00:36:32.760 In America,
00:36:33.840 we don't go
00:36:34.560 more than five minutes
00:36:35.280 without sending
00:36:35.740 people stimulus checks
00:36:36.880 and manipulating
00:36:38.440 our currency
00:36:39.160 and getting people
00:36:41.880 hooked on all manner
00:36:42.560 of welfarism.
00:36:43.680 What a bizarre
00:36:44.340 time it is
00:36:45.300 when the supposedly
00:36:46.780 communist dictator
00:36:47.840 of China
00:36:48.400 is more capitalistic
00:36:50.100 than the United States.
00:36:52.500 What a strange
00:36:53.280 time it is
00:36:54.040 when Hungary,
00:36:55.440 under communist
00:36:56.060 oppression,
00:36:56.920 officially atheist
00:36:57.640 for 45 years,
00:36:59.200 is more overtly
00:37:00.200 Christian than
00:37:00.960 the United States,
00:37:01.820 which was founded
00:37:02.460 to be a model
00:37:03.080 of Christian charity,
00:37:04.040 a city on a hill
00:37:04.640 founded by people
00:37:05.480 who call themselves
00:37:06.120 pilgrims to be
00:37:07.540 a Christian nation.
00:37:08.860 What the hell
00:37:10.560 happened?
00:37:13.360 You know,
00:37:13.580 when Jordan P. Peterson
00:37:14.360 made the decision
00:37:15.600 to join the Daily Wire,
00:37:17.260 it was a major win
00:37:18.280 for people who champion
00:37:19.980 intellectual debate.
00:37:21.020 With one year
00:37:21.580 of unparalleled output,
00:37:22.580 his contributions
00:37:23.180 have set new standards
00:37:24.140 and remained unmatched
00:37:25.240 by any other platform.

00:37:37.180 that reshape
00:37:37.640 your perspective
00:37:38.080 on life,
00:37:38.600 which include
00:37:39.060 vision and destiny,
00:37:41.200 marriage and dragons,
00:37:43.060 monsters and men.
00:37:44.360 The ands
00:37:45.160 in Jordan's content
00:37:46.680 make it very difficult
00:37:47.560 to distinguish
00:37:48.140 one piece from the next.
00:37:49.420 There are so many commons,
00:37:50.480 so many topics.
00:37:52.060 Additionally,
00:37:52.480 you can immerse yourself

00:37:53.960 that nurture
00:37:54.640 your spiritual side
00:37:55.440 like Logos and Literacy
00:37:56.440 in Jordan's
00:37:57.120 groundbreaking series
00:37:57.940 on the book of Exodus.
00:37:58.620 I haven't even mentioned
00:38:00.060 his Beyond Order
00:38:00.760 lecture series
00:38:01.380 or his extensive archive
00:38:02.720 of lectures and podcasts.
00:38:04.280 This is the compendium
00:38:05.400 of all things Jordan.
00:38:06.900 Plus,
00:38:08.020 there's even more
00:38:08.800 new exclusive content

00:38:23.580 My favorite comment yesterday
00:38:24.700 is from Alex Clare
00:38:25.880 who says,
00:38:27.460 is Michael now the boss
00:38:29.100 of Jeremy and Ben
00:38:30.160 or something?
00:38:31.180 His set
00:38:31.780 is now by far
00:38:32.880 the coolest.
00:38:33.520 Thank you very much.
00:38:34.480 You know,
00:38:34.900 Jeremy is off in Hungary.
00:38:37.120 Ben is in Florida.
00:38:39.660 When the cat's away,
00:38:40.820 the mice will play.
00:38:42.380 This is,
00:38:44.040 I decided,
00:38:45.060 while everyone was
00:38:45.620 out of Nashville,
00:38:46.260 I was going to take
00:38:46.940 all the resources
00:38:47.580 of the Daily Wire,
00:38:49.180 stop them from going
00:38:50.500 to any other
00:38:51.140 silly project
00:38:52.220 that we don't need
00:38:52.900 and funnel them all
00:38:54.360 into my set.
00:38:56.380 And I think it was
00:38:57.220 money well spent,
00:38:58.140 okay?
00:38:59.260 I think it was money
00:39:00.000 well spent.
00:39:04.540 Before we move on
00:39:05.560 from Hungary,
00:39:06.240 I really like,
00:39:06.820 I was very impressed
00:39:07.640 by Hungary.
00:39:09.540 The final objection
00:39:11.060 that people are going to make
00:39:11.900 to a big cross
00:39:12.740 in the skies,
00:39:13.320 they're going to say,
00:39:14.220 well,
00:39:14.560 what if you don't believe
00:39:15.440 in Christianity?
00:39:18.360 What if you don't believe
00:39:19.240 in the rainbow flag?
00:39:20.880 I don't believe
00:39:21.600 in the rainbow flag.
00:39:22.400 I believe in the rainbow,
00:39:23.600 which is a sign
00:39:24.700 of God's promise
00:39:25.480 never to destroy
00:39:26.300 the world again
00:39:26.800 in a flood.
00:39:28.400 But the rainbow flag
00:39:29.440 is something else.
00:39:30.040 I don't believe in it.
00:39:30.900 I don't think it's true
00:39:31.760 as a matter of human nature.
00:39:33.160 I don't think it's good
00:39:34.080 as a matter of virtue.
00:39:35.620 And I think that pride,
00:39:36.680 which it represents,
00:39:37.520 is the queen of all vice.
00:39:38.680 So I'm quite opposed
00:39:40.100 to the rainbow flag.
00:39:43.020 Barack Obama
00:39:43.700 lit the White House up
00:39:44.840 in a rainbow flag.
00:39:46.880 Joe Biden
00:39:47.400 just put
00:39:48.160 not only the rainbow flag,
00:39:49.660 but the kind of
00:39:50.220 terrorist rainbow flag.
00:39:51.400 You know,
00:39:52.160 the really threatening one
00:39:53.400 with the trans
00:39:54.400 and the BLM
00:39:55.220 and all that kind of stuff.
00:39:56.100 Put that right in the center
00:39:57.300 of the White House portico,
00:39:59.160 flanked by American flags,
00:40:00.460 an obvious violation
00:40:01.420 of flag code.
00:40:03.280 To say,
00:40:03.880 this is our sacred symbol.
00:40:06.580 All cultures
00:40:07.300 are going to have
00:40:07.620 sacred symbols.
00:40:09.100 In Hungary,
00:40:09.660 what they say is,
00:40:11.180 I heard this from the mouth
00:40:12.300 of the government ministers.
00:40:14.080 They say,
00:40:14.660 look,
00:40:14.800 we don't really care
00:40:16.620 what you personally believe.
00:40:17.960 And they prove it too.
00:40:19.400 The Jewish quarter,
00:40:20.480 for instance,
00:40:20.920 in Budapest
00:40:21.420 is probably the nicest
00:40:22.400 Jewish quarter
00:40:22.960 anywhere in the world,
00:40:23.700 including Israel.
00:40:25.300 Beautiful,
00:40:25.960 vibrant,
00:40:26.380 really nice fun bars.
00:40:28.000 Second largest synagogue
00:40:28.880 in the world.
00:40:29.300 So they obviously
00:40:30.120 are quite tolerant
00:40:31.160 of people who have
00:40:31.920 other religious views.
00:40:33.300 But they say,
00:40:33.760 but as a political matter,
00:40:35.240 we're a Christian country.
00:40:36.920 The country is justified
00:40:37.820 by the crown of St. Stephen.
00:40:39.440 And so that's,
00:40:40.140 as a political matter,
00:40:41.340 that's what we're going
00:40:42.560 to order our country around.
00:40:44.520 The cross stands still
00:40:45.560 as the world turns.
00:40:46.400 It's the axle
00:40:47.080 on which the world turns.
00:40:48.640 Okay?
00:40:48.780 And that's going to be
00:40:49.420 our national identity.
00:40:50.820 Our national identity
00:40:51.920 right now
00:40:52.500 is a bunch of
00:40:53.680 fruity rainbow flags
00:40:54.780 and people doing
00:40:55.700 all sorts of decadent,
00:40:56.960 vicious things.
00:40:58.680 That's not good.
00:40:59.240 You're going to have a symbol
00:41:00.160 either way.
00:41:01.280 What's it going to be?
00:41:02.160 What are we going to
00:41:02.660 light up in the sky?
00:41:04.200 To what will we pay
00:41:05.740 homage
00:41:06.400 and declare our
00:41:08.060 loyalty and obeisance?
00:41:09.660 Speaking of our
00:41:10.400 brave new world,
00:41:12.740 Cuba
00:41:12.960 has just taken
00:41:14.940 a major step
00:41:15.960 toward a
00:41:16.740 cashless economy.
00:41:18.900 Cuba,
00:41:19.440 which makes sense,
00:41:20.040 it's a tiny little
00:41:20.740 communist island nation,
00:41:21.900 so they've got a lot
00:41:22.860 of control over
00:41:23.420 the economy there.
00:41:24.820 The Cuban government
00:41:25.880 just said
00:41:26.980 that entrepreneurs
00:41:27.760 can no longer
00:41:28.860 take out
00:41:29.500 more than
00:41:30.180 5,000 pesos
00:41:31.480 in cash.
00:41:33.660 That's 20 bucks.
00:41:35.520 Businesses can no longer
00:41:36.500 take out more than
00:41:37.020 20 bucks a day
00:41:38.100 in cash,
00:41:39.160 which is going to
00:41:40.380 force the
00:41:41.340 businesses
00:41:42.040 to do their
00:41:43.560 transactions
00:41:44.100 electronically,
00:41:44.740 which is going
00:41:45.620 to give the
00:41:46.100 government
00:41:46.420 a greater
00:41:47.040 ability to
00:41:47.880 spy on the
00:41:49.140 citizens
00:41:49.440 and figure out
00:41:50.260 what kinds of
00:41:51.320 things they're
00:41:51.700 purchasing,
00:41:52.780 control
00:41:53.220 black markets
00:41:55.240 obviously,
00:41:56.180 but also to
00:41:57.620 control what
00:41:58.420 goods are being
00:41:58.880 legally purchased.
00:41:59.580 If they don't
00:41:59.880 like that Cubans
00:42:00.460 are buying too
00:42:00.980 many beans,
00:42:02.640 they'll shut
00:42:03.040 down that.
00:42:03.720 If they don't
00:42:04.120 like that the
00:42:04.540 Cubans are
00:42:04.860 buying too
00:42:05.140 many cigars,
00:42:05.660 they want to
00:42:05.900 ship those cigars
00:42:06.380 off to more
00:42:07.240 lucrative markets
00:42:07.880 like in China,
00:42:08.420 they're going to
00:42:08.680 shut that down
00:42:09.260 too.
00:42:10.180 And this sort
00:42:10.640 of thing is
00:42:10.980 coming to the
00:42:11.440 United States.
00:42:12.800 There's a push
00:42:13.400 for digital
00:42:13.820 currency here.
00:42:14.660 You saw this
00:42:15.100 during COVID.
00:42:15.680 This was one
00:42:16.100 of the convenient
00:42:18.040 consequences of
00:42:19.120 COVID lockdowns
00:42:20.000 for the liberal
00:42:20.680 establishment is that
00:42:21.800 there was a coin
00:42:22.340 shortage,
00:42:22.800 you remember?
00:42:23.280 So, sorry,
00:42:24.100 we just can't
00:42:24.620 take cash.
00:42:25.180 I guess you're
00:42:25.480 going to have
00:42:25.620 to pay online
00:42:26.240 and then we're
00:42:27.240 going to have
00:42:27.520 to see your
00:42:28.080 bank statements
00:42:28.700 and then we're
00:42:29.300 going to have
00:42:29.800 to shut down
00:42:30.740 your money.
00:42:31.180 Political
00:42:31.400 dissidents have
00:42:31.920 had their
00:42:32.120 banks shut
00:42:32.700 down.
00:42:33.000 You saw this
00:42:33.280 with Nigel
00:42:33.620 Farage in
00:42:34.160 the UK.
00:42:34.980 It's not just
00:42:35.560 in the US
00:42:36.100 either.
00:42:36.740 In the UK,
00:42:37.360 Nigel
00:42:37.660 Farage,
00:42:38.180 major opposition
00:42:38.860 leader over
00:42:39.380 there was
00:42:40.080 debanked because
00:42:41.180 they don't
00:42:41.380 like what he
00:42:41.740 does.
00:42:42.360 They don't
00:42:42.600 like his
00:42:42.940 political
00:42:43.240 activities.
00:42:43.840 After all,
00:42:44.200 that's the
00:42:44.480 man behind
00:42:44.860 the Brexit.
00:42:47.540 That's going
00:42:48.100 to happen
00:42:48.420 here.
00:42:48.960 So, what
00:42:49.260 are we going
00:42:49.500 to do
00:42:49.660 about it?
00:42:50.100 We should
00:42:50.500 resist it.
00:42:51.800 We should
00:42:52.300 definitely
00:42:52.540 resist it.
00:42:53.820 But,
00:42:54.760 it's most
00:42:56.440 likely going
00:42:57.060 to happen.
00:42:59.160 Our individual
00:43:00.920 use of cash
00:43:02.420 is not going
00:43:02.980 to stop this.
00:43:04.060 Our cultural
00:43:04.960 coming together
00:43:05.920 through civic
00:43:06.640 associations to
00:43:07.880 say we're
00:43:08.320 going to use
00:43:08.640 cash.
00:43:08.860 It's not
00:43:09.320 going to
00:43:09.500 stop it.
00:43:10.560 We need
00:43:11.020 a political
00:43:11.400 solution.
00:43:13.340 This is where
00:43:14.180 the politics
00:43:14.720 is downstream
00:43:15.160 of culture
00:43:15.600 thing falls
00:43:16.120 flat.
00:43:17.700 This is where
00:43:18.620 the libertarian
00:43:19.480 dream that we
00:43:20.280 can all just
00:43:20.920 act individually
00:43:22.140 and that will
00:43:23.200 reshape the
00:43:23.740 political order
00:43:24.380 comes up a
00:43:25.700 little bit
00:43:25.980 short.
00:43:27.420 This is
00:43:28.280 happening.
00:43:29.020 This will
00:43:29.620 happen.
00:43:30.260 Short of
00:43:30.840 political action
00:43:31.980 to stop it,
00:43:33.560 we're going
00:43:34.180 to have the
00:43:34.540 cashless
00:43:34.900 society.
00:43:35.260 Even with
00:43:35.540 political
00:43:35.820 action,
00:43:36.160 we might
00:43:36.400 have it,
00:43:36.720 but that's
00:43:36.980 going to be
00:43:37.320 the only shot
00:43:37.700 we have of
00:43:38.480 stopping it.
00:43:40.180 Now,
00:43:40.800 the political
00:43:42.020 action will
00:43:42.920 be spurred
00:43:43.420 in part by
00:43:44.580 individuals gathering
00:43:45.700 together in
00:43:46.440 various cultural
00:43:47.220 ways.
00:43:47.820 The Biden
00:43:48.320 administration
00:43:48.780 couldn't push
00:43:49.320 the vaccine
00:43:49.820 mandate until
00:43:50.820 enough Americans
00:43:51.680 had voluntarily
00:43:52.460 taken the
00:43:53.000 vaccine that
00:43:54.520 it had a
00:43:56.020 significant base
00:43:57.320 of political
00:43:57.700 support that the
00:43:58.680 remaining people
00:43:59.320 wouldn't be able
00:43:59.820 to cause too
00:44:00.280 much trouble.
00:44:01.240 That's true.
00:44:01.980 It's a complex
00:44:02.540 interplay of
00:44:03.240 features, but we
00:44:04.200 need a political
00:44:04.600 solution.
00:44:05.060 It's a nice
00:44:06.020 sign in the
00:44:06.460 GOP that
00:44:07.920 the top
00:44:08.320 candidates all
00:44:09.780 recognize that
00:44:10.640 fact, and
00:44:11.460 the candidates
00:44:12.040 who might be
00:44:12.480 more inclined
00:44:13.080 to get rid
00:44:14.340 of the
00:44:14.560 government or
00:44:15.140 not use the
00:44:15.700 hand of the
00:44:16.060 state or
00:44:16.320 whatever, they're
00:44:16.920 all polling in
00:44:17.600 the single
00:44:17.960 digits right
00:44:18.580 now.
00:44:19.300 Before we
00:44:19.860 go,
00:44:20.620 before we
00:44:21.040 go,
00:44:22.640 Maui,
00:44:24.040 the mayor
00:44:24.760 of Maui
00:44:25.380 will not
00:44:26.920 say how
00:44:27.800 many children
00:44:28.420 are missing.
00:44:29.020 What we've
00:44:29.300 been told is
00:44:30.220 that officially
00:44:30.780 there are about
00:44:31.120 100 people who
00:44:31.780 have died in
00:44:32.180 the fires.
00:44:33.300 But there
00:44:33.800 are 1,000
00:44:34.280 people missing.
00:44:36.300 Missing.
00:44:36.760 Now, how many
00:44:37.280 days later?
00:44:37.880 Here's what the
00:44:38.180 mayor of Maui
00:44:38.640 has to say.
00:44:39.800 I don't know.
00:44:41.220 Yes, you do.
00:44:43.240 How many
00:44:43.900 children are
00:44:44.600 missing?
00:44:46.460 You know.
00:44:46.820 I'll send you
00:44:47.120 the answer to
00:44:47.760 that.
00:44:48.580 I'd be happy
00:44:49.160 to answer that.
00:44:49.740 You have no
00:44:50.280 estimate as to
00:44:50.920 how many
00:44:51.220 children are
00:44:51.680 missing?
00:44:52.480 I guess we
00:44:52.980 can end this
00:44:53.420 right now if
00:44:54.280 you guys want.
00:44:56.400 This is one of
00:44:57.260 the biggest
00:44:57.580 questions that the
00:44:58.300 people of
00:44:58.740 Mahina have,
00:44:59.380 but you don't
00:44:59.760 want to answer.
00:45:00.480 It always
00:45:00.900 takes one or
00:45:01.620 two.
00:45:02.180 To ruin it
00:45:02.800 for everybody.
00:45:03.500 Please, this is
00:45:04.080 our first time
00:45:04.620 for everybody.
00:45:05.180 Well, we can
00:45:05.580 say that about
00:45:06.200 you.
00:45:06.660 You ruined it
00:45:07.360 for everybody.
00:45:07.720 You're welcome
00:45:08.700 to say it.
00:45:09.360 You're the media.
00:45:10.060 You can say
00:45:10.320 whatever you want.
00:45:10.800 You're a disaster.
00:45:12.040 All right.
00:45:12.600 Okay.
00:45:14.020 You've been the
00:45:14.760 worst mayor
00:45:15.440 we could possibly
00:45:16.400 imagine.
00:45:19.180 Respect?
00:45:19.780 Respect what?
00:45:20.640 This is the most
00:45:21.200 dismal response
00:45:22.100 we've ever had.
00:45:22.880 You won't wait
00:45:23.380 for your turn.
00:45:24.300 You want to
00:45:24.900 shout over these
00:45:25.480 guys that are
00:45:25.940 legitimate.
00:45:26.200 Why don't you
00:45:26.560 give them the
00:45:27.000 real answers there?
00:45:28.280 Give them the
00:45:28.800 real answers.
00:45:29.580 That's not his
00:45:30.180 question.
00:45:30.620 Let him, let him.
00:45:31.200 Good on the
00:45:37.700 journalist.
00:45:38.240 I'm all for
00:45:38.740 being respectful
00:45:39.460 in these kinds
00:45:40.660 of things.
00:45:41.340 But first of all,
00:45:42.460 there aren't that
00:45:42.940 many journalists
00:45:43.540 there.
00:45:44.040 So the mayor of
00:45:44.660 Maui is trying
00:45:45.060 to deflect.
00:45:45.460 It's not your
00:45:46.020 turn.
00:45:46.820 Not your turn.
00:45:47.580 Give me an answer.
00:45:48.200 How many kids
00:45:48.560 are missing?
00:45:49.000 Oh, we don't
00:45:49.400 know.
00:45:50.120 Yeah, we don't
00:45:50.520 know.
00:45:51.280 No big deal.
00:45:51.960 Okay, moving on.
00:45:52.660 He says, what the
00:45:53.040 hell do you mean
00:45:53.400 you don't know?
00:45:54.440 You don't know?
00:45:55.880 Days later?
00:45:56.580 This seems like
00:45:57.200 a cover-up.
00:45:58.580 Yeah, well,
00:45:59.180 sometimes one of
00:46:00.560 these guys is
00:46:01.040 going to ruin it
00:46:01.400 for everybody.
00:46:02.000 Ruin it for
00:46:02.360 everybody?
00:46:03.360 There's like five
00:46:04.100 journalists here.
00:46:04.860 You're not
00:46:05.120 answering the
00:46:05.860 most important
00:46:06.340 question.
00:46:07.460 What's going
00:46:08.060 on?
00:46:09.100 This is most
00:46:10.580 likely a major
00:46:11.720 scandal.
00:46:13.480 The liberals
00:46:14.180 tried to deflect
00:46:15.160 and say, oh,
00:46:15.780 the Maui fires,
00:46:16.520 they were caused
00:46:16.840 by global warming.
00:46:17.820 It was the sun
00:46:18.260 monster.
00:46:18.800 Okay, look
00:46:19.160 away.
00:46:19.620 No one
00:46:20.060 believes that.
00:46:20.700 No serious
00:46:21.240 person believes
00:46:21.940 that.
00:46:22.560 So the question
00:46:23.060 is, was it
00:46:23.760 the incompetence
00:46:24.620 of the government
00:46:26.520 that should have
00:46:27.220 mitigated the
00:46:27.740 threat of wildfires
00:46:28.680 that acknowledged
00:46:29.260 the threat four
00:46:29.900 years ago and
00:46:30.420 did nothing about
00:46:31.060 it because it
00:46:31.400 diverted all of
00:46:31.980 its resources
00:46:32.480 into fighting
00:46:33.060 the sun
00:46:33.820 monster, the
00:46:34.380 imaginary, scary,
00:46:36.320 catastrophic,
00:46:37.220 apocalypse man
00:46:38.180 in the sky?
00:46:39.220 Or was it
00:46:40.980 arson?
00:46:41.480 We know that
00:46:41.980 there's been a
00:46:42.400 ton of arson
00:46:43.080 set off by
00:46:43.600 radical environmentalists
00:46:44.700 in Maui and
00:46:45.420 throughout the rest
00:46:45.860 of the world in
00:46:46.380 recent years.
00:46:47.160 We know that
00:46:47.580 there are hundreds
00:46:48.560 of these incidents
00:46:49.580 that occur
00:46:49.980 regularly.
00:46:51.420 So which is
00:46:52.260 it?
00:46:53.320 Either way,
00:46:54.060 not good.
00:46:54.620 And now we
00:46:55.080 hear potentially
00:46:55.840 a thousand
00:46:56.320 people, lots
00:46:57.340 of them children
00:46:58.020 just burned
00:46:58.620 alive, the
00:46:59.800 roadblocks,
00:47:00.860 complete mismanagement.
00:47:02.260 Every time an
00:47:04.420 illegal alien
00:47:05.680 child at the
00:47:06.860 border caught
00:47:08.320 a cold during
00:47:09.960 the Trump
00:47:10.320 administration,
00:47:10.920 it was national
00:47:11.500 headline news
00:47:12.160 AOC pretending
00:47:13.280 to cry outside
00:47:14.100 the gates.
00:47:15.640 But a thousand
00:47:16.620 people potentially
00:47:17.520 dead in Maui,
00:47:18.580 many of them,
00:47:19.620 if not most of
00:47:20.300 them children,
00:47:21.000 and nothing,
00:47:22.100 nothing, a media
00:47:23.080 blackout,
00:47:23.700 blackout from
00:47:24.900 the mayor,
00:47:26.320 should be a
00:47:28.060 major national
00:47:28.800 scandal.
00:47:30.660 Nothing.
00:47:31.200 Which doesn't
00:47:31.660 tell you very
00:47:32.140 much about the
00:47:33.500 Maui administration,
00:47:34.700 doesn't tell you
00:47:35.180 very much about
00:47:36.020 global warming,
00:47:37.160 it tells you a lot
00:47:37.780 about the media.
00:47:39.080 That's what it
00:47:39.440 tells you.
00:47:39.700 And it tells you a
00:47:40.140 lot about how the
00:47:40.560 liberal establishment
00:47:41.220 in this country works
00:47:42.760 and how the
00:47:43.080 political order works,
00:47:43.840 especially as we
00:47:44.320 approach elections.
00:47:46.580 Got other focuses
00:47:47.740 here.
00:47:48.100 We got to worry
00:47:48.440 about COVID,
00:47:49.040 folks.
00:47:49.240 The rest of
00:47:50.080 the show
00:47:50.300 continues now.

00:47:51.220 want to miss
00:47:51.600 it.
