00:00:38.060 997 days after January 6th, 2021, we finally have evidence of an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

00:00:46.600 The insurrection did not come by way of any horn hat-wearing shamans, smiling lectern movers, or even Midwestern grannies. 0.93

00:00:55.540 The insurrection came by way of Democrat Congressman Jamal Bowman, who was caught on camera pulling the fire alarm at the Cannon House office building just before a motion to adjourn,

00:01:09.420 as Democrats sought desperately, some more desperately than others apparently, to delay a continuing resolution vote.

00:01:15.840 For those who are unfamiliar with Jamal Bowman, he is a Democrat from New York who once called me a, quote,

00:01:23.660 Nazi hell-bent on keeping only white men alive and in power, end quote, because I said that boys and girls are different.

00:01:32.980 He is a little eccentric, you could say, a little excitable, and now apparently, by Democrats' own logic, an insurrectionist.

00:01:41.840 On January 6th, sorry, on January 6th, the worst day in the history of this already republic, of 2021, Nancy Pelosi was the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

00:01:56.160 And for years after that, Nancy Pelosi withheld video footage exonerating many of the January 6thers.

00:02:03.420 Footage, for instance, showing the horn hat guy being escorted through the Capitol by police officers.

00:02:09.600 Now, Republican Kevin McCarthy is the Speaker of the House, and so we have seen, right away, proof of Jamal Bowman pulling the alarm and attempting to disrupt the motion.

00:02:25.140 Congressman Bowman has been caught on camera doing much more to obstruct an official congressional proceeding than any of the prominent January 6thers.

00:02:35.920 Certainly more than the horn hat guy.

00:02:39.020 The horn hat guy got 41 months in prison.

00:02:42.360 If there is anything even remotely resembling a fair system of justice in the United States,

00:02:48.200 Congressman Bowman should be wearing an orange jumpsuit for at least as long.

00:02:54.640 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:02:55.460 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:02:56.340 Doesn't look good when you pull fire alarms in the U.S. Capitol.

00:03:19.720 When you do want to look good, you've got to check out Genucel Skin Care.

00:03:23.160 This episode is brought to you by Genucel.

00:03:25.120 Say hello to the best skin you've ever had with the Genucel Dark Spot Corrector.

00:03:28.760 Get yours at genucel.com slash Knowles.

00:03:32.200 Speaking of our nation's capital, we might get a third-party candidate for president and one of the most serious third-party challengers in a very long time.

00:03:40.380 We'll get to that in a second.

00:03:41.220 First, though, before we move on from Congress, AOC is defending Congressman Bowman.

00:03:46.660 He says it was an accident.

00:03:48.620 He thought pulling the alarm would open a door based on the fact that the doors to his right there were locked,

00:03:54.500 and there was a sign that he said he was—I think someone said it was confusing.

00:03:58.480 I'll be honest, it doesn't really make sense to me, his explanation.

00:04:02.800 Have you talked to him?

00:04:04.740 What's going on?

00:04:05.580 I mean, listen, I think if you actually do see some of the photos of the signs, I think there's something to be said about the government's about to shut down,

00:04:13.780 there's a vote clock that's going down, the exits that are normally open in that building were suddenly closed.

00:04:20.420 So you pulled a fire alarm?

00:04:21.520 So what I am here to say is that House Administration and U.S. Capitol Police and Jamal Bowman are inactive,

00:04:30.280 and he's fully participating in saying there was a misunderstanding.

00:04:33.300 But what I do think is important to raise is the fact that Republicans,

00:04:38.280 representatives like Nicole Malliotakis and others,

00:04:41.420 immediately moved to file motions to censure, motions to expel,

00:04:46.100 before there has even been conversations that are finished to even see if there was a misunderstanding here.

00:04:52.880 We just need to go a little bit slower here.

00:04:55.540 I mean, I know we rounded up every single Midwestern granny that was even within 100 miles of Washington, D.C. on January 6th. 1.00

00:05:02.360 But here, where we have clear footage of this congressman obstructing a congressional proceeding by pulling a fire alarm,

00:05:08.860 here, we just need to slow walk this until everyone forgets, okay?

00:05:12.140 Because, come on, he just didn't know.

00:05:13.360 This is the most amazing excuse that we're getting out of AOC.

00:05:16.720 Even Jake Tapper here says, what, you're telling me the guy couldn't read a clear sign,

00:05:21.480 and so he pulls a fire alarm to get out of the building?

00:05:23.960 Give me a break.

00:05:25.220 But this is now the line that the Democrats are sticking with.

00:05:28.160 Chris Hayes on MSNBC reposted a picture of what was allegedly the signs that Congressman Bowman was seeing.

00:05:36.300 And the sign said, emergency exit, push door, hold, alarm will go off, you know, emergency, only push in case of emergency.

00:05:44.860 And Chris Hayes said, well, yeah, it's very confusing.

00:05:48.640 Oh, yeah, who could possibly know what is meant by the sign, emergency exit only, alarm will sound, push only in case of emergency.

00:05:56.660 It's just so confusing.

00:05:58.540 I don't, hmm, so ambiguous.

00:06:01.540 But what's really funny is this one picture going around of the supposedly confusing signs is not what the Congressman saw.

00:06:09.260 We can see clearly on camera.

00:06:10.580 There's no sign directly in front of that door.

00:06:13.360 He doesn't even look straight at the door.

00:06:15.320 He turns to the left and pulls the fire alarm.

00:06:17.480 So it's just a total, it's a total farce.

00:06:22.440 The reason that the Democrats are scrambling here is not because Jamal Bowman accidentally pulled a fire alarm.

00:06:30.140 It's that he accidentally got caught.

00:06:33.260 I remember one time I was at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

00:06:36.120 This was early on in my campus tour life.

00:06:38.660 And I was giving a speech called Men Are Not Women and Other Uncomfortable Truths.

00:06:42.760 This was actually even before the transgender issue really hit the national stage.

00:06:47.540 But the libs were already completely crazy about it. 0.96

00:06:49.560 So I gave this speech, Men Are Not Women and Other Uncomfortable Truths. 0.52

00:06:52.620 And some wacko Antifa-type guy busts in a fire door and sprays me with some unknown substance.

00:06:59.180 No one wants to know what it is.

00:07:00.980 And I look over.

00:07:02.880 Luckily, there had been a cop right behind the door.

00:07:04.960 And the cop gets this guy down on the ground within about 10 seconds.

00:07:08.860 Eventually, he starts tasing the guy because the guy was fighting back against the cop.

00:07:13.420 And I looked into this kid's face.

00:07:16.620 This Antifa guy who was 18, 19, something like that.

00:07:19.400 And the look on his face, it was one not of anger.

00:07:25.300 It was one not of hatred.

00:07:27.760 It was one of just pure shock that he had been caught.

00:07:32.920 He just was so shocked to face any consequences for his actions.

00:07:39.240 And I think that's exactly what's going on with Bowman here.

00:07:41.800 I think that's exactly what's going on with AOC and all the rest of the Democrats. 0.50

00:07:45.660 They're just shocked that for once, they're being held accountable for their actions.

00:07:50.420 Because they forgot that Kevin McCarthy, at least for now, is the Speaker of the House.

00:07:53.980 And they forgot that there's security camera footage.

00:07:55.880 And they forgot that sometimes, on rare occasions, they get outed for committing crimes and obstructing official proceedings and doing exactly the same stuff that when the right-wingers do it, they call it a coup d'etat, the worst insurrection in history.

00:08:14.440 Now, speaking of getting caught, the House Oversight Committee has just discovered some proof, I think pretty clear proof, that Joe Biden himself was on the take from foreign countries selling American influence.

00:08:30.580 The House Oversight Committee has found that China wired $260,000 to Joe Biden's house.

00:08:39.560 Now, how do we know this?

00:08:40.820 We know this because the money didn't go to Joe Biden.

00:08:44.440 The money went to Hunter Biden.

00:08:46.160 But the address that was on file for The Wire was Joe Biden's house.

00:08:53.720 Now, this means, at the very best, the most charitable read of this is that Hunter just happened to be living with Joe shortly after Joe announced his candidacy in 2019.

00:09:08.360 This is just a few months after Joe said, I am running for president.

00:09:11.520 Over a quarter million dollars shows up to Joe's house.

00:09:14.600 But it was just because Hunter happened to be there, and it was all a big misunderstanding, and Joe didn't know nothing about it.

00:09:20.860 But it just doesn't, it just unfortunately doesn't look great.

00:09:24.720 Now, the reason that this doesn't work is because the Bidens have consistently lied about every single aspect of this story, which we'll get to in a second, though.

00:09:33.840 But if you don't have a quarter million dollars in wire transfers just randomly showing up at your house, you're probably going to want to protect some of your assets with birch gold.

00:09:40.800 Right now, text Knowles to 98-98-98.

00:09:43.560 Last month, the Group of 20, the G20, announced a plan to impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their populations.

00:09:51.160 Central bank digital currencies essentially allow the government to track every purchase you make.

00:09:55.200 Officials could even prohibit you from purchasing certain products and easily freeze or seize your money.

00:09:59.620 Concerned Americans are diversifying their assets into physical gold with the help of birch gold.

00:10:04.020 If you want a physical asset held in a tax-sheltered retirement account, you should call Birch Gold, too.

00:10:10.060 Text Knowles, C-N-W-L-E-S, to 98-98-98, and they will send you a free info kit on gold.

00:10:16.620 The easiest way to become a Birch Gold customer is if you have an IRA or 401k from a previous employer just gathering dust.

00:10:24.900 Birch Gold can help you convert it into an IRA in gold, and you don't pay a penny out of pocket.

00:10:29.220 Text Knowles, C-N-W-L-E-S, to 98-98-98.

00:10:32.100 Claim your free info kit on gold, and then call them.

00:10:35.740 Because if digital currency becomes a reality, it'll be nice to have some gold to fall back on.

00:10:42.340 Right now, 98-98-98, text Knowles.

00:10:46.740 Money from China showing up, at the very least, we can say, at the very least to Hunter Biden,

00:10:53.960 which directly contradicts what Hunter Biden previously told us on national television.

00:10:58.200 The president has repeatedly said that you received $1.5 billion from China, despite no experience and for no apparent reason.

00:11:07.340 Obviously, fact checkers have said that that is not true.

00:11:11.420 Look, this literally has no basis in fact in any way.

00:11:14.940 Have you received any money from that business dealing?

00:11:17.580 No.

00:11:17.840 At all?

00:11:18.340 Not one cent?

00:11:18.960 Not one cent.

00:11:19.460 No, no, not one cent.

00:11:23.020 I received a lot of cents.

00:11:25.180 I received $260,000 worth of cents, but I did not receive one single cent.

00:11:31.520 Joe Biden then goes on and denies this as president.

00:11:35.820 Is your presidency compromised by your family's business dealings?

00:11:51.560 Give me a break, man.

00:11:53.080 What are you talking about?

00:11:54.980 They don't get that many quarter million dollar payments directly to my house.

00:11:58.340 What are you talking about?

00:11:59.060 Come on, man.

00:11:59.540 So after he dismisses this, his press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, denies it, but she's a little softer.

00:12:06.540 She's a little more circumspect in the way that she denies this.

00:12:09.980 House oversight says they've got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party.

00:12:17.960 What were they paid for?

00:12:20.120 Look, I'm just not going to respond to that from here.

00:12:22.760 Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how how the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue.

00:12:34.680 And I don't even where to begin to even answer that question, because, again, it's been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple of years.

00:12:43.100 And I'm just not going to get into it from here.

00:12:44.800 There are there are so many lies.

00:12:47.260 There are so many lies.

00:12:48.400 I'm not going to name what those lies are, but there are so many lies that I'm not going to answer this accusation, which I'm not going to directly call a lie because it's obviously true.

00:12:56.640 But lies, lies, lies.

00:12:58.300 La, la, la.

00:12:59.260 La, la, la, la, la, la, la.

00:13:01.120 I can't hear you.

00:13:02.640 But now we know that 260 grand, at least, coming from BHR Partners Associates, which is bankrolled by the Bank of China, which is all deeply mired with the Chinese Communist Party, sent that money to Hunter, listing Joe Biden's Delaware home as the beneficiary address for the funds.

00:13:27.100 Can we really say, though, can we in charity say, well, it was really just for Hunter.

00:13:33.960 Joe probably didn't know.

00:13:36.660 You can't forget about separating Hunter.

00:13:39.520 You can't separate any of the Biden family from this issue, because on top of the revelations about Hunter, on top of the revelations about Joe Biden's Delaware home address.

00:13:52.080 We now have the New York Post reporting that Hunter Biden's daughter, Naomi, 29-year-old Naomi Biden, was working on behalf of a foreign government, representing a foreign government as a lawyer, around the same time that she was living at the White House.

00:14:10.880 Why do we think the government of Peru hired Naomi Biden to represent it? 1.00

00:14:17.600 Do we think it's because I don't want to besmirch Naomi's scholarship and legal career.

00:14:23.200 Something tells me, though, as a 29-year-old lawyer, she's probably not all that accomplished yet, even if she were a good lawyer.

00:14:28.940 So why would the government of Peru hire Naomi Biden, this random 29-year-old lawyer, to represent it? 0.89

00:14:36.980 Might it have something to do with her last name?

00:14:40.460 Might it have something to do with the fact that she was living in the White House around the time she was working for them?

00:14:48.200 It's a family business.

00:14:50.440 In that way, this is like the Trump Organization.

00:14:54.640 The Trump Organization and the Biden Organization are very different in that the Trump Organization, even working in real estate in New York with a lot of shady characters,

00:15:03.020 the Trump Organization is basically on the up and up, and the Biden Organization is pure influence peddling because Donald Trump did not serve in government until 2017.

00:15:14.800 Donald Trump, for all the shadiness that goes into doing any kind of serious business in New York, Donald Trump was working in the private sector.

00:15:23.300 Joe Biden has made every penny that he's ever made, practically, working in government at a very high level of government because he's been in the Senate since the early 1970s.

00:15:31.840 So the only way that he and his family have made any money at all is by selling American influence.

00:15:36.600 But they're both family businesses.

00:15:38.160 Do you remember when Donald Trump got elected, there was a call for him to put his business in a blind trust or to divest from his business?

00:15:46.640 How is Donald Trump going to divest from the Trump Organization?

00:15:51.100 The business is Trump.

00:15:52.680 He could dissolve the whole business.

00:15:55.740 Or this judge in New York, this Democrat judge that's trying to get Trump, they could dissolve the whole business.

00:16:01.280 It wouldn't matter.

00:16:02.220 He is the business.

00:16:03.460 He could start another one called Trump Organization 2, Electric Boogaloo, and it would be the same thing because the business is him and his name and his reputation.

00:16:12.940 Well, the same is true for the Bidens.

00:16:16.060 Joe Biden is the guy with the influence.

00:16:19.180 Hunter Biden is the one who peddles that influence overseas in Ukraine, in China, and elsewhere.

00:16:25.960 Naomi Biden is another one who, the granddaughter of Joe, daughter of Hunter, is another one who peddles that influence overseas in Peru. 0.67

00:16:32.800 Frank Biden, Joe's brother, is another one who peddles that influence.

00:16:36.240 Frank Biden, it's being reported now by the New York Post, Frank Biden openly refers to Joe as the big guy.

00:16:42.560 You remember in all those Hunter Biden text messages and emails where we read about 10% for the big guy or given half to the big guy?

00:16:49.880 Well, the big guy, Frank Biden admits, is his brother, Joe Biden.

00:16:54.120 How about James Biden, Joe Biden's other brother?

00:16:56.080 He made every penny to his name practically, peddling Joe's influence too.

00:16:59.780 That's the family business.

00:17:01.120 And you can't separate it, which means that when we see quarter million dollar payments, more than quarter million dollar payments going to Hunter, we know that Joe's involved.

00:17:13.640 Hunter wouldn't have any of those payments if not for Joe.

00:17:16.520 And by the way, Joe's home address is the one listed for the beneficiary line on the payments.

00:17:24.280 Speaking of Democrat Party corruption, there is someone running for president against Joe Biden right now who seeks to take on not only the Republican Party, but corruption within the Democrat Party.

00:17:35.360 How's he going to do it?

00:17:37.120 Bobby Kennedy Jr. alludes to his future plans.

00:17:40.740 Hi, everybody.

00:17:41.920 I'm going to be in Philadelphia on October 9th to make a major announcement at the very birthplace of our nation.

00:17:48.620 I'm not going to tell you right now exactly what that announcement will be.

00:17:52.060 I can say, though, that if you've been waiting to come to one of my public events, this will be the one to come to.

00:17:59.840 I'll be speaking about a sea change in American politics and what your part and my part is in that change.

00:18:07.160 A lot of Americans who had previously given up any hope that real change would ever come through the American electoral process have begun to find new hope in my candidacy.

00:18:17.980 And I understand the deeply felt concern that people have about the way corruption has overtaken our government.

00:18:25.920 It's in the executive branch.

00:18:27.460 It's in Congress.

00:18:28.920 It's in the leadership of both political parties.

00:18:31.280 And so some people feel a kind of cynicism alongside the hope or they lose hope entirely because they've been disappointed so many times.

00:18:41.400 I want to tell you now what I've come to understand after six months of campaigning.

00:18:46.220 There is a path to victory.

00:18:47.860 There is a path to victory, and that path to victory is going to be running third party, presumably.

00:18:54.500 That is presumably.

00:18:55.300 He might surprise us, but that is probably what this announcement is, which is raising some concerns on the right because there are some people on the right who have spent the last six months building, more than that, the last year or more, building up Bobby Kennedy Jr., who is a liberal.

00:19:12.180 He's a basically amiable liberal.

00:19:15.080 He's clearly an intelligent man, but he's a big lib. 0.58

00:19:18.540 That's why I've never been all that gung-ho about the Bobby Kennedy candidacy, is I think, okay, he's good on COVID.

00:19:25.740 He was one of the few of us who early on called the COVID nonsense, but he's wrong on abortion, and he's wrong on guns, and he's wrong on a lot of aspects of our constitutional order, and he's a big lib.

00:19:36.400 So I'm just not going to support him.

00:19:38.480 I'm not saying he's the worst guy in the world.

00:19:39.880 I'm just saying he and I have very different priorities.

00:19:42.560 But there have been a lot of conservatives who have really taken a shine to Kennedy because, one, he was right on COVID.

00:19:50.480 Two, he's taking on Joe Biden, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

00:19:54.560 And three, I think there are still a lot of conservatives who are basically kind of liberal.

00:20:02.260 They just think the left has gone too far.

00:20:03.780 You know, they say, I was a Democrat, and I didn't leave my party.

00:20:07.480 My party left me.

00:20:08.440 And all this woke stuff and all this weird sex stuff, it's gone way too far.

00:20:12.300 So I can't go all the way with those radicals, or I can't be a socialist, or I can't be like an AOC, but I'm still kind of a Democrat.

00:20:19.800 And so they long for the days of a Kennedy.

00:20:22.840 You look even at the way that Bobby Kennedy is dressing.

00:20:25.640 He's wearing those nice skinny ties from the 1960s.

00:20:28.400 He's trying to evoke his father and his uncle, John F. Kennedy, and that time before the Democratic Party had gone completely insane.

00:20:37.720 Still, I think this hurts Democrats more.

00:20:41.080 Bobby Kennedy is still polling at something like 19% in the Democrat Party.

00:20:44.020 I think once the reality of his political positions comes out, I don't think that the likely Republican nominee, Donald Trump, is going to have much of a hard time prying back the types of conservatives who sort of like Bobby Kennedy back from him, back toward Trump.

00:21:00.060 And so all in all, I'm kind of for it.

00:21:04.500 I think that if Bobby Kennedy is going to be a third-party spoiler in this race, I think he's going to be more Ralph Nader than he will be Ross Perot.

00:21:12.920 I think he's going to hurt the Democrats more than the Republicans, probably.

00:21:16.620 But it remains an open question.

00:21:19.800 Now, you know Kennedy wants to look good by putting on those skinny ties. 1.00

00:23:12.120 In the meantime, before we can unseat Joe Biden, Biden is ruthlessly imposing his agenda.

00:23:20.340 You want to hear the perfect example of the way Biden is tossing his power around right now.

00:23:29.340 There's a German family that is living in the United States that actually sought political asylum.

00:23:35.680 We hear all the time about how the millions and millions of illegal aliens crossing our southern border,

00:23:40.240 they're actually political asylum seekers.

00:23:42.580 When they're not, they're mostly fighting age young men who are economic migrants who just want to make more money in the United States. 0.93

00:23:49.540 Very, very few actual political asylum seekers relative to the number of illegals crossing the border.

00:23:55.760 In this case, we have a German family that did, in fact, seek political asylum because they are Christians.

00:24:01.340 They're evangelical Protestants who wanted to homeschool their kids,

00:24:04.580 didn't want to send their kids to crazy German public schools that were going to indoctrinate them and fill their heads with all sorts of lies. 0.96

00:24:09.480 So homeschooling is practically illegal in Germany, at least where they were.

00:24:14.240 They come to the United States. 0.98

00:24:15.480 They've been here for 15 years.

00:24:17.100 They're here in my own state of Tennessee with the government's blessing.

00:24:21.160 They've flourished.

00:24:22.160 They've done well.

00:24:23.460 They're gainfully employed.

00:24:25.380 They have lots of kids.

00:24:27.660 They dress properly.

00:24:28.900 They behave well.

00:24:29.800 They're law-abiding.

00:24:31.020 They did everything right.

00:24:32.360 They didn't cross the border illegally.

00:24:36.980 They're here with the government's blessing.

00:24:38.940 And Joe Biden is saying they've got to be deported.

00:24:42.860 Joe Biden is saying they've got to pack their bags, get out of here.

00:24:47.260 Which means their kids are going to have to go back to those insane schools.

00:24:50.620 The parents said that when they sent their kids to these public schools in Germany, their whole personalities changed.

00:24:55.820 They suffered health issues while attending a public school.

00:24:58.220 And any ordinary American knows that that sort of thing happens because of the nonsense that is taught in schools and the deleterious effect that that nonsense has on kids.

00:25:06.980 Because they've got to pack up.

00:25:11.120 If this family were Venezuelan rather than German, they would be allowed to stay. 1.00

00:25:17.460 They would be called dreaming, future, bright-eyed, doe-eyed American dreamers.

00:25:23.260 If this family were not a family, but just a pack of young fighting-age men from Honduras who crossed the border illegally, paid off the cartels, were involved in all sorts of crime, they'd be allowed to stay. 0.67

00:25:38.400 They're just dreamers.

00:25:39.320 They're just seeking a better life here.

00:25:41.880 If this family were liberal rather than conservative, if this family were secular rather than evangelical, if this family were inclined to vote Democrat rather than Republican, they would be called a wonderful blessing of diversity to our nation to show us the way toward progress.

00:26:07.680 And they would be allowed to stay.

00:26:09.300 But because they are German, evangelical, conservative, white family homeschoolers, they got to go. 0.99

00:26:20.340 They're the enemy, according to the Biden administration.

00:26:23.560 And the reason for this is that politics is not abstract.

00:26:29.600 There are some conservatives, some very naive, squishy conservatives, who believe that politics is totally abstract.

00:26:37.340 And it's just about principles floating in thin air, which is why the height of their political commentary and activism is to huff and puff and throw their hands up and say, imagine if the shoe were on the other foot.

00:26:47.460 And to say, well, can you imagine if the rules were reversed?

00:26:50.920 And to say, this is a double standard.

00:26:53.080 That's all they do.

00:26:54.120 I try not, I point out the hypocrisy when I can, but I also try to go a little further than that.

00:26:57.980 Because the Democrats know that.

00:26:59.940 They know that it's unfair.

00:27:01.720 They know that they're playing with two standards here.

00:27:05.060 They know, what the Democrats know, that the conservatives need to figure out, is that politics is not abstract.

00:27:13.620 Politics is always about real, particular people and real, particular groups of people.

00:27:20.340 Now, German, homeschooler, evangelical, conservative family, that's the enemy. 1.00

00:27:29.260 They get deported.

00:27:32.740 Venezuelan, economic migrant, don't speak a lick of English, don't know anything about our culture, easy to manipulate, easy to control, hooked on the welfare system, inclined to vote Democrat at least generations down the line. 1.00

00:27:44.680 They're the friend of this administration and our broader liberal regime.

00:27:51.740 That's how it works.

00:27:53.980 Horn hat guy gets a private tour around the Capitol, escorted by police officers.

00:27:59.200 He's the enemy.

00:28:00.000 He's an insurrectionist.

00:28:01.020 He's doing a coup d'etat.

00:28:02.320 He goes to prison for 41 months.

00:28:04.460 Jamal Bowman pulls a fire alarm, and it would seem likely to me, intentionally obstructs an official congressional proceeding.

00:28:12.020 Oh, he just didn't know.

00:28:13.040 He can't read signs.

00:28:13.920 You expect a member of Congress to know how to read?

00:28:16.380 You expect a member of Congress to have the functional IQ of a fourth grader and to know what words mean in syntax, in order, when it says emergency exit only, push only if you want the alarm to ring?

00:28:29.340 Oh, he couldn't know that, or more likely, of course he did know that, and he just didn't think he'd get caught.

00:28:34.600 Well, he's a friend.

00:28:35.440 He doesn't even get a slap on the wrist.

00:28:38.140 That's how it works.

00:28:39.100 And as long as Democrats continue to acknowledge the particular character of politics and conservatives just think it's all abstract principles floating in thin air applying equally to everybody, we're going to continue to lose.

00:28:56.360 We want principles, and the ultimate principle that we want is justice.

00:29:01.600 But the way to get justice in politics is not to bury our heads in the sand and to pretend that politics is practiced other than as it is.

00:29:09.140 It's to recognize that it is really about groups of people and teams and alliances.

00:29:13.620 When AOC refuses to throw Bowman under the bus, even though we got him dead to rights, we got him on camera, it's clear as day.

00:29:19.920 That guy did it.

00:29:21.560 She doesn't throw him under the bus because they're on the same team.

00:29:25.900 And in order to do anything in politics, you need to have teammates and alliances and compatriots, and you need to work together.

00:29:35.760 That's what we're seeing here.

00:29:36.780 So they're going to deport the German, and we're going to say, well, okay, but now you better deport all those economic migrants who are very likely to vote for Democrats and who aren't evangelical homeschoolers. 0.99

00:29:47.320 Yeah, they're not going to do that.

00:29:48.340 They're not going to do that.

00:29:49.080 So what now?

00:29:50.580 Every Republican should be pushing to allow this family to stay.

00:29:53.260 This family is the exact type of family that should be granted asylum in the United States.

00:30:01.840 Christians fleeing religious persecution in Europe where we don't even take that many European immigrants anymore.

00:30:11.540 The vast, overwhelming majority of immigrants that we take in are from Latin America.

00:30:15.480 So if you want any kind of fairness in our immigration system, surely you would say, okay, one of the underrepresented groups that don't really immigrate to the United States or are not really allowed in, maybe we should allow them in.

00:30:26.100 Every Republican should be clamoring to let this family stay with political asylum. 0.86

00:31:01.580 Speaking of specific people, there's a race on for who replaces Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate. 0.99

00:31:10.120 Dianne Feinstein died last week.

00:31:13.160 Senator Feinstein lived a very long life.

00:31:15.600 You know, it's always sad when people die because death is just a sad thing.

00:31:21.980 But, you know, she didn't flip her Corvette at age 22.

00:31:24.720 She lived until the ripe old age of 90 or thereabouts.

00:31:27.500 She served in the Senate until her last day.

00:31:30.360 She had a largely distinguished career in as much as even conservatives kind of like her because she wasn't the craziest lib in the whole U.S. Senate. 1.00

00:31:38.280 And now there's a question of who's going to replace her.

00:31:40.960 Gavin Newsom, who clearly wants to run for president, the California governor, needs to pick someone.

00:31:45.520 But the problem is there's already a race on for her seat because she wasn't running for re-election. 1.00

00:31:49.800 So the top candidates to replace her are already running.

00:31:53.420 That's Katie Porter, U.S. Representative, Barbara Lee, U.S. Representative, and Adam Schiff.

00:32:00.400 He's a U.S. Rep, too.

00:32:01.160 So it's three members of Congress running to replace her. 1.00

00:32:05.780 If Gavin Newsom picks any one of them, he will be seen as giving an unfair advantage in the election, which is happening just next year.

00:32:14.220 Plus, he's got an identity politics minefield here.

00:32:17.400 He's got white lady Katie Porter, but she's popular with the Dems, Barbara Lee, a black lady. 1.00

00:32:23.740 So if he picks the white lady over the black lady, that's going to be called racist. 1.00

00:32:26.820 If he picks the black lady over the white lady, that's going to be called tokenism, but he'd probably be able to get away with that more easily. 0.77

00:32:32.780 And then Adam Schiff, who's a white man, very, very bad, but he's a very prominent Democrat.

00:32:38.860 He's probably the most prominent Democrat of any of them, and he ran the impeachment against Donald Trump.

00:32:42.400 So Dems like him.

00:32:44.080 He's got to pick someone.

00:32:45.820 Hold on.

00:32:46.380 Now, I am hearing from my producers, Gavin Newsom has already picked a replacement, and let's see.

00:32:56.740 I've got it.

00:32:57.660 Let me pull up my text.

00:33:00.680 Okay.

00:33:01.200 I sort of had wished that I had checked the mail, or checked the news, rather, before this show.

00:33:06.900 Okay.

00:33:07.620 Newsom picks Lafonza Butler as Feinstein's replacement.

00:33:12.800 This is from Politico.

00:33:13.840 California's governor chose a labor leader turned power player to serve in the Senate.

00:33:17.900 An advisor told Politico there were no preconditions about whether or not she could run in 2024.

00:33:21.620 Very interesting.

00:33:22.440 So this person could run again.

00:33:25.060 Again, but this is very smart of Newsom.

00:33:28.080 Look, Newsom, man, this guy is a very, very sharp political player because he just got it done right away.

00:33:37.680 There's no guessing game.

00:33:38.700 There's no jockeying.

00:33:39.720 He just immediately appointed somebody.

00:33:42.060 He probably had this person on deck the moment that Senator Feinstein got sick.

00:33:46.240 It checks some of the identity politics boxes. 0.89

00:33:48.600 I think Lafonza Butler, it said, is a lesbian. 1.00

00:33:51.840 I could be wrong about that.

00:33:53.460 If I'm just making that up, sorry to do that.

00:33:56.480 But she is a black woman they're making a big deal about. 0.99

00:33:59.800 So anyway, it checks off some identity politics boxes and just takes the issue off the table.

00:34:05.620 So now the rest of them can duke it out and Newsom can focus on what he wants to focus on, which is potentially running for president.

00:34:12.000 Who is going to replace Senator Feinstein?

00:34:14.420 There's a fourth option because Newsom's theoretically got to pick someone who's not already running.

00:34:20.880 And look, I'm just reading the news.

00:34:23.460 So I'm just telling you what is being reported.

00:34:25.280 This is from the Daily Mail.

00:34:28.280 Meghan Markle is considering a run for office.

00:34:32.000 The former Duchess of Sussex, the biological weapon that I think was made in an American laboratory somewhere as a bioweapon to destroy the British crown. 0.88

00:34:44.420 We just sent her over there like a heat-seeking missile. 1.00

00:34:47.320 She found Harry and then tried to blow up the monarchy. 1.00

00:34:51.020 Anyway, she could theoretically maybe be considered to be picked.

00:34:57.540 I don't buy it, but Meghan Markle's apparently gunning for it. 0.99

00:35:02.000 Meghan Markle has reportedly cultivated a lot of political contacts on the left.

00:35:06.360 She's close friends with Gloria Steinem, the first lady of feminism in the United States.

00:35:12.660 Gloria Steinem, huge force in Democrat Party politics. 0.99

00:35:16.400 A friend of Gloria Steinem has said that Gloria has been introducing Meghan to pivotal people within the party.

00:35:23.540 According to this report, Meghan is interested in politics more than anything else.

00:35:27.460 And that's where she believes her power is.

00:35:29.320 But she's had to focus on making money. 1.00

00:35:30.800 Finally, this story, this really puts monarchists in a tough spot, doesn't it?

00:35:37.900 There are some people in America who are monarchists, who are just open, avowed monarchists.

00:35:43.340 And they're usually very buttoned up, very conservative sort of people.

00:35:46.800 And this is now the best shot to get a royal into a position of power in the United States, maybe that we've ever had. 0.63

00:35:54.320 And it just so happens that the royal is this awful American actress who seems ideologically opposed to monarchy and tries to destroy it and is a big lib. 0.99

00:36:04.280 I don't know what the monarchists are supposed to do here.

00:36:06.680 Puts them in a very, very difficult spot.

00:36:11.180 Also an amazing journey.

00:36:12.240 This woman was an actress. 0.99

00:36:14.060 She became a princess.

00:36:16.640 But she didn't want to be the real thing.

00:36:19.120 She didn't want to be an actual princess.

00:36:20.320 She wanted to leave being a princess to pretend to be a princess on TV. 1.00

00:36:25.740 But then she didn't want to just play pretend on TV.

00:36:28.160 She wants to be in democratic politics. 0.99

00:36:30.640 What an amazing journey of dissatisfaction that I assume will just never end.

00:36:36.360 Because it's a feature of modern liberal life that you're just never satisfied with your station in life.

00:36:40.700 Speaking of deluded women, Libs of TikTok has just found a video of, probably I'm not allowed to keep this on a certain social media website. 1.00

00:36:51.760 Libs of TikTok has found a perfect example of the illogic undergirding the transgender movement. 1.00

00:37:00.920 So this might be confusing for some people.

00:37:03.020 So like I use he, him pronouns, right?

00:37:05.360 But I don't identify as a man.

00:37:07.400 But I'm trans.

00:37:09.500 I'm trans non-binary. 0.94

00:37:11.220 And I feel dysphoric about my body sometimes, like my curves and my butt. 0.70

00:37:16.120 But at the same time, I like my boobs. 0.64

00:37:18.100 Like, that's fine. 0.99

00:37:19.140 Okay, so I think it's a woman. 0.99

00:37:21.180 I think this is actually a woman. 1.00

00:37:22.160 She says, I feel dysphoric about parts of my body, but I like my breasts.

00:37:25.460 And so that part, but I'm still trans somehow.

00:37:27.820 And the first thing I notice about this video, and if you're only listening, you take my word for it.

00:37:32.520 There's this weird occult flag behind her.

00:37:35.920 This weird, it looks like bones with a kind of astral map.

00:37:39.520 And it looks like a little crescent moon and perhaps some astrology and directions.

00:37:46.080 And what's that about?

00:37:48.160 What's the weird occult flag about?

00:37:51.980 I'll tell you exactly what it's about.

00:37:53.820 There's a weird and unfortunate misconception that religious people are superstitious.

00:38:01.760 We are not.

00:38:03.400 Religious people, in fact, are the only people on Earth who are not superstitious.

00:38:07.900 And everyone, in fact, will be either religious or superstitious.

00:38:16.000 I looked up the Webster definition of superstition because I wanted to be totally precise here.

00:38:22.820 The dictionary definition of superstition is a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic, or chance, or a false conception of causation.

00:38:32.080 You will either be a religious person.

00:38:34.500 Religion is, of course, the habit of virtue that inclines the will to give to God what he deserves.

00:38:41.300 You will either be religious and acknowledge God and then follow that logic with your heart and with your whole spirit.

00:38:50.600 And with your logic, theology is faith-seeking understanding.

00:38:53.480 And you will apply the rigors of logic to your intuitions of the metaphysical.

00:38:57.580 Or you'll just believe in magic and chance and superstition and all of this kookiness. 0.94

00:39:06.080 Religious people, the kind who are being kicked out of the United States because they want to homeschool their kids and they don't want to send them to crazy lib schools. 1.00

00:39:14.420 What do they believe?

00:39:15.800 They believe there's a God who loves us.

00:39:17.300 We're made in the image and likeness of God.

00:39:18.520 We have faculties of reason and moral conscience that can allow us to discern between good and evil and we can pursue sanctity or we can pursue vice.

00:39:26.280 And that's what they believe, right?

00:39:28.780 The non-religious people, the supposedly rational scientific people, they're the ones who believe that men can become women and babies aren't really babies. 0.95

00:39:36.460 And that we should astral project ourselves onto the seventh moon of Jupiter and that we should consult astrologers and psychics and that crystals have healing powers and we should just vibe with the universe, man.

00:39:51.820 The irony is the more supposedly secular and rational and enlightened you become in our modern scientific way, the more superstitious you will become.

00:40:02.980 The more you will be likely to have those weird flags on your walls.

00:40:06.460 My favorite comment on Friday is from Bryce N. Lanninger, 1216, who says, you're focusing on the effect, not the cause.

00:40:16.160 If you want things to get better, you have to find out why they are – oh, no, that's not – that wasn't my favorite comment.

00:40:22.580 I'm going to pull my actual favorite comment.

00:40:24.340 My favorite comment – let's see.

00:40:26.340 I pulled it up on my – I'm going to have to kill Professor Jacob for getting that comment wrong.

00:40:30.240 The – my actual favorite comment is – let me see.

00:40:33.040 Because it was a good one and I waited to tell this joke.

00:40:37.740 Here it is.

00:40:38.900 I wonder if Dianne Feinstein is going to seek re-election and vote for Biden next year. 0.99

00:40:44.640 And the reason I wanted that to be the comment is because when the senator sadly passed away, my first thought was, okay, that's sad.

00:40:55.520 You know, because she lived a good, long life. 0.57

00:40:56.940 I don't think any of us thought she was long for this world.

00:41:00.880 Can I make the joke on the show that while she has died and gone on to her eternal reward, it's unclear if she has resigned her seat in the Senate?

00:41:10.640 And I talked to my producers and I talked to sweet little Elisa.

00:41:15.820 And they said, it's too soon.

00:41:16.900 It's important that you can't make that joke on that day.

00:41:19.700 And so I said, I'm not going to make that joke.

00:41:20.880 I didn't think it was disrespectful, but I said, I'm not going to make that joke out of deference to – but now someone else has made it.

00:41:25.100 It's several days later.

00:41:26.060 I think it's an open question.

00:41:28.560 Forget about Senator Feinstein for a second.

00:41:30.700 Joe Biden?

00:41:31.500 I'm not convinced the man has a pulse.

00:41:33.980 He's not resigned the presidency.

00:41:35.220 And I don't think he would for many months if such an event, God forbid, were to occur.

00:41:41.200 It's a question.

00:41:42.980 Maybe they'll just all stick it out.

00:41:44.640 Maybe we'll just have boomer and silent generation political leaders forever.

00:41:51.840 Speaking of unbelievable things, Nikki Haley has claimed that the Trump campaign has sent a prank of some sort to her hotel room.

00:42:03.300 Nikki says, after a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me outside my hotel room. 0.95

00:42:09.360 Hashtag pretty pathetic try again. 0.83

00:42:11.240 Hashtag you just made my case for me. 0.96

00:42:14.880 And it's – I didn't get this at first.

00:42:17.400 It's a birdcage.

00:42:18.720 And it says from Trump campaign.

00:42:21.240 And it has bird feed on top of it.

00:42:24.480 And I had – some people immediately said, I don't believe that this really happened.

00:42:28.240 But I just couldn't even understand what the joke was.

00:42:30.900 And then I found out apparently Trump has called her a bird brain.

00:42:35.780 But I don't – he hasn't done it all that prominently.

00:42:37.920 So I don't – like, I follow these things pretty closely.

00:42:40.660 And the fact that that allusions just passed right by me and I didn't catch it, I don't know.

00:42:47.180 I just – it didn't seem very credible.

00:42:50.260 And I don't know.

00:42:51.120 Why would the Trump campaign sign it from Trump campaign? 0.88

00:42:54.940 It just seems ridiculous.

00:42:57.500 So now people are calling Nikki – Nikki Smollett.

00:43:00.720 And they're saying – I don't think she's lying.

00:43:05.920 I don't think Nikki would just brazenly lie about this. 0.97

00:43:10.580 I don't think it's real.

00:43:11.720 I don't think the Trump campaign actually sent that to her.

00:43:13.520 But I don't know.

00:43:15.740 This would be very – this would be very strange for Nikki Haley to just stage the whole thing. 0.94

00:43:21.920 And maybe some member of her campaign did. 0.97

00:43:24.860 I just find it very hard to believe – Nikki Haley is a pretty serious person.

00:43:28.160 I find it very hard to believe that she would come up with this Jussie Smollett kind of hoax and stage it.

00:43:34.800 And so I don't really buy that.

00:43:36.800 But at the same time, I don't think this happened.

00:43:42.080 I don't – the whole thing to me seems kind of like a sideshow.

00:43:48.120 But then so much of the GOP primary is a sideshow.

00:43:51.740 Because even if you love Nikki and you're campaigning for Nikki, even if you love Tim Scott, you're campaigning for Tim Scott, even if you love Ron DeSantis, it is simply a fact.

00:44:01.700 In fact, the race has not changed at all, not one iota in about 15 months now.

00:44:09.560 And we're not just talking about one poll or you question the ABC Washington Post poll or this poll.

00:44:13.680 None of the polls.

00:44:14.600 They've all remained almost exactly where they've been for 15 months.

00:44:18.840 And the gap between the number one candidate and the number two, three, four, five, and six candidate is huge.

00:44:25.620 So is there any chance of these guys dropping out?

00:44:30.540 Is there any chance, for instance, of Ron DeSantis saying, I'm going to shutter the campaign and agree to be Trump's VP?

00:44:37.440 Maria Bartiromo just asked Governor DeSantis that.

00:44:40.060 Here's his answer.

00:44:41.120 If President Trump came to you and said, let's partner up, you be my VP, would you do it?

00:44:46.000 No, I'm running for president.

00:44:47.800 We need somebody that can serve two terms.

00:44:49.840 We need somebody that can win states like Georgia and Arizona, which President Trump cannot do or did not do, even though candidates like McCain and Romney had no problem winning those states.

00:45:00.080 We need somebody who, and I'm the only one running, including Donald Trump, everything I've promised the voters that I would do as governor of Florida, I've delivered on.

00:45:10.220 And then Governor DeSantis goes into the stump speech and says, no, I'm running hardcore.

00:45:15.300 I'm only going for the top job.

00:45:16.880 I will not be the VP.

00:45:18.500 I think this is probably smart for DeSantis.

00:45:20.740 This was the right answer.

00:45:22.640 He could have perhaps been the VP, though probably not, because Trump is running as a Floridian.

00:45:28.640 So just actually the way our Constitution sets up the race, you can't have a president and a vice president from Florida.

00:45:34.860 Practically speaking, the electoral vote wouldn't work that way.

00:45:38.840 Or you couldn't have a president and vice president from the same state, period.

00:45:42.680 But let's say, I don't know, let's say Trump ran as a New York candidate or something like that.

00:45:46.140 He had a residency in New York.

00:45:47.220 Look, could DeSantis have been his VP?

00:45:49.600 Yeah, yeah, probably, had he just endorsed Trump early on and said, I'm not going to run for president, cut a deal since he was the most formidable and remains the most formidable challenger to Trump in the race.

00:45:59.260 Yeah, maybe, but it's too late for that.

00:46:01.100 It's too late.

00:46:01.600 And so if DeSantis were trying to get a VP spot or even some senior cabinet spot, probably Trump would just toy with him the way that he toyed with Mitt Romney and then degrade him and humiliate him.

00:46:12.280 And DeSantis says, I don't want to be degraded and humiliated, so no, I'm going to run for the top spot.

00:46:17.740 The die is cast, and if it kills my political career, so be it.

00:46:21.200 I'm going to be the alternative to Donald Trump.

00:46:23.560 There is a question, because DeSantis has not been able to close that gap, should there be another alternative to Donald Trump?

00:46:30.140 And there is a big move afoot to draft Glenn Youngkin.

00:46:35.340 Glenn Youngkin is meeting with conservative donors in just a matter of weeks now.

00:46:40.760 This would be a last-minute entry into the race, if it were at all possible.

00:46:45.080 They will be meeting on October 17th for the Red Vest Retreat.

00:46:50.940 There he is.

00:46:51.860 If Nikki's not going to do it, if DeSantis isn't going to do it, if Tim's not going to do it, there's our last hope.

00:46:58.040 We who hate Donald Trump, we're going to get Glenn Youngkin.

00:47:02.440 He would be crazy to do it. 0.89

00:47:06.380 He would be crazy to do it.

00:47:07.660 I don't think he will.

00:47:08.720 I think he's too smart a politician.

00:47:11.060 But if you're Glenn Youngkin, first of all, you're so late into the race already.

00:47:14.260 You've missed major opportunities to fundraise for years now at this point.

00:47:20.200 I mean, Donald Trump already had such an advantage on the other candidates, which I think accounts for some of his spot in the polls.

00:47:26.000 But even the other candidates have been raising money and out there campaigning.

00:47:29.480 Glenn Youngkin hasn't done any of that.

00:47:30.880 He's going to enter the race at the very last minute after having seen what happened to DeSantis, maybe the most promising young Republican in the party, certainly in years, who basically just got pushed off to the side by Trump.

00:47:41.860 And Nikki.

00:47:42.820 And Tim.

00:47:43.740 And forget about Chris Christie.

00:47:45.020 Forget about Doug Burgum.

00:47:45.840 But there are a lot of people who are really serious contenders who just got pushed to the side.

00:47:52.060 And you're Glenn Youngkin, and you're going to say, okay, I'm a popular governor right now, but I'm going to throw away my political career to try to challenge Trump at the last minute and probably lose.

00:47:59.980 I don't think so.

00:48:02.740 I think what these stories tell you is more indicative of the fact that the anti-Trump part of the GOP is beginning to feel the heat, beginning to get a little bit desperate because their options are not working out.

00:48:18.440 The rest of the show continues now.
