00:00:37.940 The Libs are coming for your parental rights. This viral clip, care of our friends at Libs of TikTok.

00:00:45.020 Let's talk about parental rights for a second, because it's become evident that it's being used

00:00:48.820 currently in this fight against queer people, and especially queer kids who need more protections

00:00:54.460 than ever before. Like in Saskatchewan and in the U.S., parental rights are being used to

00:00:59.220 thwart any rights of autonomy that the kid might have. And I'm sorry, but kids do have autonomy.

00:01:06.680 We've already established this. For example, if a kid needs a blood transfusion and the parents don't

00:01:11.480 want to, it's not the parent's right to refuse that blood transfusion for that kid, because it is

00:01:16.980 life-saving. In the same respect, if a kid only needs to, like, use a different name and pronoun

00:01:23.160 in school, there might be a reason, and a good reason, they're not coming out at home. And they

00:01:27.580 need a safe place to be themselves. And so, to hell with this idea of parental rights when it comes to

00:01:35.120 kids who have their own consent and their own bodily autonomy and their own autonomy to their

00:01:40.460 personhood that need to be protected. To hell with this idea of parental rights.

00:01:46.800 Libs 2024, to hell with parental rights. Now, you might say, who cares? This is just some random

00:01:53.000 weirdo, and that's true. But we see the same belief articulated by more prominent, less random

00:02:00.820 weirdos. Here is AOC's take on the GOP's Parents' Bill of Rights proposal.

00:02:06.320 They are asking the Republican Party to keep culture wars out of classrooms. Our children

00:02:12.520 need urgent and aggressive educational solutions. The American Library Association coming out against

00:02:18.340 this Republican proposal. When we talk about progressive values, I can say what my progressive

00:02:26.460 value is, and that is freedom over fascism. Okay, but it's AOC, you might say. Everyone knows AOC

00:02:35.660 is on the fringe. Yeah, sure, maybe. But then, here again, we have an even less fringe, even less

00:02:43.780 random, even more prominent weirdo saying the same thing. Rebecca put a teacher's creed into words when

00:02:50.060 she said, there's no such thing as someone else's child. No such thing as someone else's child.

00:02:57.300 Our nation's children are all our children.

00:02:59.500 No such thing as someone, meaning there's no such thing as your child. They're all my child,

00:03:06.280 me, Joe Biden. The libs are coming out in full force against parental rights. They view the family

00:03:13.480 as the final impediment to their agenda. On the bright side, this is the best line of attack that

00:03:20.040 the GOP currently has. Parental rights is exactly what gave Republicans Virginia. It's exactly one of the

00:03:27.680 reasons that Ron DeSantis has been so popular in Florida. The libs know that dismantling the family

00:03:33.840 is unpopular, but they also know that they've got to do it to seal their power. And the scary thing is,

00:03:41.840 despite the unpopularity, they've already been pretty successful at doing just that.

00:03:47.680 I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.

00:04:07.620 Welcome back to the show. This episode is brought to you by Good Ranchers. Get great meat at a secure

00:04:26.620 sweet little Alisa's Good Ranchers recipes. RFK Jr., potentially running third party,

00:04:33.080 and he is weighing in on which major candidate he's going to take more votes from. We'll get to that

00:04:37.160 in one second. First, though, libs of TikTok finding some real bangers lately. She always finds

00:04:43.520 phenomenal clips that tell you a lot about our politics, but I don't know, the last few days

00:04:48.700 that it's just been hit after hit after hit. Here is one trans activist. I guess we're not going to 1.00

00:04:54.540 be on a certain social media platform for this part of the show. Here is a trans activist explaining

00:05:00.660 that he wants to be not only one of the first men who, I guess, would be the very first man

00:05:09.380 who gets pregnant by having a womb implant. And this is all kind of sci-fi stuff. But he wants to 0.86

00:05:18.420 be not only the first man to get pregnant, but then also the first man to kill his child. 0.97

00:05:24.820 I want to be the first trans woman to have a successful uterus transplant, ovaries and eggs 0.99

00:05:31.700 included. And I want to be the first trans woman to have an abortion. 0.96

00:05:41.000 I will let a doctor who has successfully transplanted a uterine complex before cut the organs out of a 0.54

00:05:48.220 willing, healthy, trans masculine donor. Place them in my body. I will devote myself, 1.00

00:05:57.200 heart and soul to their aftercare. I will have as much gay sex as it takes with as many trans women 1.00

00:06:08.580 as it takes. And let the transphobes and homophobes scratch their heads, wondering what to make of it. 1.00

00:06:19.880 And I want to be the first trans woman to have an abortion. 1.00

00:06:28.820 Okay, I think I followed most of that. It's a little bit of a Rube Goldberg machine of infanticide. 0.95

00:06:36.920 There are so many extra added steps there for the end goal of killing a child.

00:06:43.940 But I think I basically followed it. He wants to pretend to be a woman and then cut out the 0.96

00:06:51.400 healthy organs of another woman who thinks that she's a man and then have those organs implanted 0.97

00:06:55.340 into him. And then he wants to do all sorts of depraved acts. And then he wants to improbably,

00:07:02.780 implausibly become pregnant and begin to nurture this budding young life solely for the purpose of 0.89

00:07:10.900 then being able to murder it. That's what gets him off. And the whole reason I show this clip is not

00:07:18.140 merely to point out how wacky those trans activists are or boy golly, can you imagine how far the left 0.85

00:07:24.980 has gone these days? The reason I bring this one up is to remind people that there is a limit to 0.53

00:07:32.020 debate. Liberalism says that all of politics is like one big never-ending college debating society.

00:07:41.060 And we're never going to come to any firm conclusions. We're all just going to keep

00:07:43.880 debating. And it's so important to have conversations. And we just need to talk to each

00:07:47.840 other. And as long as we can talk and have conversations and debate, then our politics will

00:07:52.500 be flourishing. There's no debating with that. When you differ on first principles, when you differ

00:08:03.920 on the basic premises and axioms, the starting point for how you view the world, the starting place that

00:08:15.060 you arrive at through intuitive reasoning, when you differ there to that kind of degree, there's no

00:08:21.720 debate. How are you going to debate that guy? He says, I want to chop my whole body up and chop up

00:08:26.240 another woman and get and switch all of our organs so that I can do depraved things and then get 1.00

00:08:30.840 pregnant so I can murder a baby. Oh, well, no, sir. Let me explain to you rationally why your views are. 1.00

00:08:38.840 No, no, there is a limit to debate. And conservatives need to recognize this. The libs recognize this,

00:08:46.020 but conservatives need to recognize this too. Politics is not an endless conversation.

00:08:53.580 Politics is how we all live together. And when we all want to live together, we have to come to

00:08:58.920 certain conclusions about the law. And what the law is, is an ordinance of reason for the common good

00:09:05.980 by him who has care of the community and promulgated. That's what it is. And so you got to just say,

00:09:11.520 you just, those people, you just got to say, no, no, sorry. I don't need to entertain your stupid, 1.00

00:09:20.180 depraved, evil thoughts. I don't need to pretend that your point of view has any validity whatsoever. 1.00

00:09:26.740 You are a crazy person with serious defects of your will and intellect, and you should most likely be 1.00

00:09:33.140 in an insane asylum. But perhaps there's some argument that you can live a slightly more 1.00

00:09:41.300 autonomous life, but with strict limits on it. Because you, sir, have completely lost your mind,

00:09:47.800 and you are a danger to everyone around you and to yourself. So no, we're not going to just chat,

00:09:55.120 and we're not going to pretend that your view has any validity whatsoever. Just no, no, sorry,

00:10:01.420 sorry, your ideology for the good of society, and especially for the good of people like you,

00:10:07.120 needs to be eradicated from public life entirely at every single level. Speaking of the consequences

00:10:14.020 of liberalism, there's, this is the craziest story that hit the news yesterday. And I didn't really

00:10:23.260 comment on it directly yesterday because it was so shocking. I didn't, I felt it was even distasteful

00:10:29.420 to talk about it. Now, enough time has gone by. I don't know. Everyone's already talking about it.

00:10:35.220 This guy, Josh Kruger, is a liberal activist. And Josh Kruger, three days ago, made fun of Scott

00:10:45.200 Adams, the Dilbert comic and somewhat vaguely conservative commentator, who's a very interesting

00:10:50.520 guy and has, you know, obviously had a very successful career. Scott Adams, three years ago,

00:10:55.920 tweeted out, if Biden is elected, there's a good chance you will be dead within the year.

00:11:01.980 That was July, 2020. Three days ago, Josh Kruger tweets out, the Dilbert dude is like Nostradamus.

00:11:11.060 Look at this prediction from 2020. Wow, eerie. So he's making fun of him. He's saying, yeah,

00:11:14.880 we're all supposed to be dead. And, you know, we're not dead. What an idiot this guy is. And then

00:11:20.480 two days after that, Josh Kruger was murdered in his Philadelphia home.

00:11:29.840 And now the Dilbert guy is being called Nostradamus. This is really weird. We got,

00:11:36.380 it's New York Times is reporting on this. Philadelphia journalist is killed in his home.

00:11:40.480 Josh Kruger, 39, was shot seven times. The police said that no arrests had been made.

00:11:45.760 We don't know if the people who killed him knew him or if it was just another home break-in,

00:11:52.720 like there's so many of them in Philadelphia. So now people are saying, wow, Scott Adams is

00:11:57.520 predicting the future. And it's weird. The timing is a little bit eerie, obviously not for the reasons

00:12:02.880 that Mr. Kruger thinks. I don't think that we should be happy about this, obviously. I know some

00:12:09.880 people think they have a little schadenfreude here because the guy who downplayed all of the risks

00:12:14.520 of living in these kinds of cities and downplayed the spiking crime, he ended up having to deal with

00:12:19.840 the consequences of that. Obviously, we should just pray for this guy's soul and pray for ourselves too.

00:12:25.440 But what do we make of Scott Adams? Does he predict the future? No. He only sort of,

00:12:33.840 Scott Adams only sort of predicts the future in the same way that prophets predict the future.

00:12:39.880 People misunderstand what a prophet is. A priest friend of mine, Father Ruttler,

00:12:46.500 has an excellent line on this. He says, prophets do not primarily predict the future,

00:12:51.520 but rather see the present. They predict the future only in a derivative sense,

00:12:59.540 in as much as telling the truth will tell you something about how the future is going to unfold.

00:13:06.760 The number of murders in Philadelphia has more than doubled over the last decade. It does not take

00:13:15.020 a Nostradamus to know that people are more likely to be murdered in these cities. So some people deny

00:13:22.140 that reality. Other people just tell the truth. They just see the present. They tell the truth as they

00:13:28.100 see it. And when you tell the truth in an age that is defined by lies, you're going to look like you're

00:13:36.260 predicting the future. But you're not. You're just being honest with yourself and making an observation

00:13:41.540 and also having the integrity to tell other people that observation too. Now, one place where you're going to

00:13:50.660 definitely want integrity and honesty is when you're hiring people, which is why you've got to check out ZipRecruiter.

00:14:57.220 K-N-O-W-L-E-S. Speaking of lawlessness, we've got an update in the Congressman Jamal Bowman case.

00:15:04.640 Congressman Jamal Bowman is the man who is a Democrat from New York, and he pulled a fire alarm

00:15:12.440 to stop the House from voting on a continuing resolution. And then he lied about it. And he said,

00:15:19.780 oh no, I was just trying to open the door. The signs were really confusing, and I just didn't,

00:15:24.840 I didn't know. So this excuse fell apart pretty quickly when we saw the alleged signs.

00:15:31.280 There's one that says, emergency exit only. It says, emergency exit only, push until alarm

00:15:36.740 sounds, door will unlock in 30 seconds. Yeah. And so, but it says alarm will sound, emergency exit

00:15:45.060 only, don't go out this way. So unless Congressman Jamal is completely illiterate,

00:15:50.280 it's not convincing that he would have not known what these signs meant. But then what's weird is

00:15:55.300 in the picture, we have camera footage of him pulling the alarm. He's, he's not standing in

00:16:02.700 front of those signs. The signs are nowhere really to be seen in that picture. Apparently it's because

00:16:07.140 he knocked the signs down and then he's not pushing on the door. He's just pulling the fire alarm on the

00:16:12.260 wall. So he couldn't even pretend as though he thought it was just a way to get through the

00:16:17.840 door. He turned and pulled the fire alarm there. Furthermore, the way that you know his excuse is

00:16:23.640 complete BS is because he didn't even go out those doors. Congressman Jamal apparently ran out through

00:16:30.480 a different door on a different floor because he didn't want to get caught because he didn't realize

00:16:34.000 that they had cameras in the US Capitol. Tells you a lot about the caliber of Democrat congressman.

00:16:39.620 So this, this totally fell apart. And now what are the Republicans going to do?

00:16:45.460 If the GOP does not vote to expel this man from Congress, this man who, who did a much more

00:16:52.160 egregious insurrection than anything committed by the horn hat guy or the Midwestern grannies or the

00:16:58.000 lectern fellow from Florida smiling for the camera, Congressman Jamal Bowman, if any of those guys are

00:17:04.540 guilty of insurrection, Bowman is guilty of it 20 times over. If the G does not expel him from

00:17:10.580 Congress, GOP is in charge of the house right now, then the GOP is just completely impotent. It's just

00:17:15.860 completely pathetic. Bowman for his part is now in damage control mode. So he, he sent out this 0.98

00:17:24.160 messaging according to Politico, which blamed everything on the Nazi Republicans. And he said,

00:17:30.020 we we've, we've got to, we've got to stop these Nazi Republicans from trying to make a big deal 0.85

00:17:35.560 over my pulling the fire alarm and obstructing an official congressional proceeding. When Politico

00:17:40.660 reported on the Nazi memo, a Congressman Bowman then backtracked and he, he denied having sent out

00:17:48.560 the guidance. He said, I just became aware that in our messaging guidance, there was inappropriate

00:17:54.240 use of the term Nazi without my consent, without my consent. I condemn the use of the term Nazi out

00:18:01.240 of its precise definition. It is important to specify the term Nazi refers to members of the

00:18:07.300 Nazi party and neo-Nazis, which would be a lot more convincing if Congressman Jamal Bowman had not

00:18:15.360 called me a Nazi on Twitter back in March. So back in March, after I gave my CPAC speech where I said,

00:18:22.980 boys and girls are different, you know, and Congressman Jamal tweets out and says, 0.75

00:18:27.340 Michael, this is a direct quote, Michael Knowles is a Nazi hell bent on keeping only white men alive 0.94

00:18:33.800 and in power. And then he went on and on and on. So here Bowman insinuates, I would never use the term 0.94

00:18:41.380 Nazi if I weren't referring to German soldiers from the 1940s. This was, this would happen without my 0.95

00:18:46.920 consent. I completely disavow this. I would never do such a thing. It's terribly offensive. Oh yeah.

00:18:51.640 Well, was it also accidental and non-consensual when you called me a Nazi on Twitter? The tweet's

00:18:58.660 still up. Was that still an accident back in March? I don't know that I believe that. Are you

00:19:05.940 going to disavow that Congressman Bowman? Are you going to apologize to me? Are you going to apologize

00:19:10.220 to everyone for that awful decision, no doubt made by some low level staffer to call me a Nazi for

00:19:19.060 saying that boys and girls are different? He just keeps digging. This is a guy who is not thinking

00:19:23.900 strategically. And this is one of the reasons also not to lie. It's bad to lie because lying is a sin

00:19:29.840 and can condemn your soul to hell. And you shouldn't do it for that reason because it offends God.

00:19:35.300 But another reason, even if you don't believe in God and you don't care about your soul and if you're

00:19:40.360 just in politics, another reason not to lie is you're going to get caught. It's very, especially

00:19:45.600 when you're lying publicly to the media in the age of Twitter, where there's a tweet for everything,

00:19:49.420 you're going to get caught, man, especially if you're not necessarily the sharpest tool in the

00:19:54.260 shed, when you're not maybe the most high level Machiavelli, Metternich kind of political

00:20:01.520 strategist out there. And then you start spinning all these lies and denying and backtracking and

00:20:07.540 you're going to get caught. And so probably what would serve Congressman Bowman is for him to

00:20:13.300 stop speaking immediately, two days ago, probably. But this is a real crime. It's not just that he

00:20:22.080 called me a Nazi or he called Republicans Nazis and he's lying about it. And that's a little bit of

00:20:26.300 a political scandal. Obstructing an official congressional proceeding after the Democrats

00:20:33.360 have spent the last two years whining and crying and screaming about how January 6th was basically,

00:20:38.640 you know, the shots fired on Fort Sumter. I don't, you know, give me a break.

00:20:44.900 This, if the GOP does nothing here, if the GOP doesn't seize on this advantage and expel this

00:20:49.380 loony tune from Congress, then what do we have the GOP in Congress for? Now, what do you have

00:20:58.700 nasty particles in your air for? It's probably because you don't have envirocleans. Right now,

00:21:03.380 go to ekpure.com slash Knowles. Most people only think about poor air quality when we have fires,

00:22:46.180 order yours on Amazon or wherever you get your books today. Speaking of Democrats,

00:22:53.480 RFK Jr. seems poised to run third party in 2024. So this raises the question,

00:22:59.960 is he going to be a spoiler? And if he's a spoiler, who's he going to be a spoiler for?

00:23:03.440 Is he going to be like Ross Perot and throw the election to the Democrat? Or is he going to be

00:23:07.660 like Ralph Nader and throw the election to the Republican? RFK Jr. thinks he knows the answer.

00:23:14.100 Yeah, and then the other thing is that I take more votes from President Trump than I do from

00:23:19.400 President Biden.

00:23:20.760 Right, so why would that help them?

00:23:22.220 Yeah, it's not helping them.

00:23:23.480 Yeah.

00:23:23.660 I don't buy it. I don't think that's true. I see why some people do think that that might be true.

00:23:31.120 Some people do think that might be true because RFK Jr. is anti-vax and he's specifically anti-COVID

00:23:39.320 vax and a lot of Republicans are also anti-COVID vax. But that's pretty much it.

00:23:46.040 RFK Jr., I kind of like the guy. In fact, I grew up in his town. My grandmother attended

00:23:53.240 Bobby Kennedy's church for like 60 years of her life or something. It was a relatively small town

00:23:59.220 in northern Westchester. So I've been aware of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for most of my life,

00:24:04.480 and he seems like an amiable, albeit somewhat eccentric fellow. But he's a big lib.

00:24:09.540 Other than on the COVID vaccines, he's a lib on pretty much every single issue. He's a lib on

00:24:13.620 abortion. He's a lib on energy. He's a lib on the climate policy, such as it is. He's a lib on

00:24:20.060 marriage. He's a lib on guns. He's a lib on immigration. He's on the latter two issues.

00:24:25.920 He's a little bit better than Biden and some of the Dems, but he's still a liberal on those issues.

00:24:31.220 So how is he going to take more votes from Trump? I just don't believe that.

00:24:35.900 Especially, I know Republicans have spent the last six months building up Bobby Kennedy

00:24:39.580 as a potential challenge to Joe Biden, to some good effect too, by the way, because

00:24:43.500 currently Bobby Kennedy Jr. is polling at 15% in the Democrat Party, which I think makes my case for

00:24:48.900 me and argues against the point Kennedy's trying to make. How is Kennedy polling within the Republican

00:24:54.020 Party? They haven't taken a ton of direct polls on this question. There is one, though. Here's one.

00:24:59.280 This is one from Echelon Insights. Shows that Trump versus Biden, right now, national poll,

00:25:04.860 has Trump winning by three points, 46 to 43. If the race were Trump versus Biden versus Kennedy,

00:25:15.820 Trump would win by four points. It would be Trump 40, Biden 36, Kennedy 14. So again,

00:25:26.380 the margin of error is real here. I mean, this is a pretty tight race as it is, but in as much as the

00:25:33.540 polls show anything, it shows that Bobby Kennedy would pull more from Biden than from Trump.

00:25:41.020 The only issue is COVID. But if COVID were the defining issue of the 2024 race,

00:25:46.860 Ron DeSantis would be the nominee because Donald Trump has a million pictures next to Anthony Fauci

00:25:52.040 and Ron DeSantis reopened Florida relatively quickly. That was his issue. The big issues that defined

00:25:57.820 DeSantis are COVID, first of all, opening Florida up relatively quickly, and then parental rights and

00:26:03.420 fighting Disney and fighting the LGBT agenda. But mostly it was COVID. But Trump is still way up

00:26:09.740 in the polls because people's memories are short and there are other issues that they're thinking

00:26:13.280 about. So COVID isn't the defining issue. So I say bring it on with RFK. I'm fine with it.

00:26:18.420 RFK has to, I think, argue that he is primarily going to pull votes from Trump because his base is still

00:26:26.080 Democrats. The people who like Bobby Kennedy are maybe some eccentrics on the right,

00:26:30.320 but more likely it's going to be those liberals, those Democrats who think the woke people have

00:26:37.300 gone too crazy. You know, look, I'm a Democrat. I'm a Kennedy Democrat. All right. I love Jack

00:26:42.500 Kennedy. All right. But I just think these woke people have gone too far, but I still hate Trump.

00:26:47.640 So I just need some, you know, Biden, he's, he's too old and he's, he's followed the left fringe of

00:26:52.200 his party. I just want to vote for a Kennedy. Okay. I'm going to vote for Bobby Kennedy.

00:26:55.800 That's, that's his base. His base is not rock ribbed conservatives. Just to use one example,

00:27:02.440 if you're pro-life, you can't in good conscience vote for Bobby Kennedy because you've got a

00:27:07.160 relatively historically incredibly solid pro-life candidate in Trump. Trump who got Roe v. Wade

00:27:13.760 overruled. Trump who was the first president to speak at the March for Life. Even if some recent

00:27:17.680 comments have been a little more confusing on pro-life, largely because he's trying to attack his

00:27:23.280 most formidable rival, Ron DeSantis. You can't, no one can seriously argue Bobby Kennedy is more

00:27:28.320 pro-life than Donald Trump. So you've got a major candidate who's pro-life, who's got a way better

00:27:34.340 chance of winning than Bobby Kennedy does. You've got to vote for Trump. Or if let's say Trump isn't

00:27:38.300 the nominee, it's Ron DeSantis. You've got to vote for Ron DeSantis over Bobby Kennedy. There's no,

00:27:43.240 there's no real argument. I say, bring it on, baby. Let's go. I want to see a Kennedy running again.

00:28:24.580 American meat delivered. Speaking of Trump and DeSantis, Trump is in hot water and DeSantis

00:28:30.220 is capitalizing on it because Donald Trump just admitted that his promise to get Mexico to pay for

00:28:37.480 the wall was, in a certain sense at least, a bluff. So when you hear these lunatics back there say, 0.96

00:28:45.480 Trump didn't get anything from Mexico. Well, you know, there was no legal mechanism because I said 0.94

00:28:51.580 they're going to help fund this wall, but there was no legal mechanism. How do you go to a country

00:28:55.220 and say, by the way, I'm building a wall? Hand us a lot of money. So DeSantis is personally taking

00:29:01.260 that clip and not just from his campaign account or his war room account, which has very limited reach,

00:29:05.960 but is finally starting to use his Ron DeSantis personal Twitter account, which is much smarter.

00:29:10.840 His campaign should have been doing that a year ago. He's come out and said,

00:29:14.760 admitting that the famous promise from 2016 to have Mexico pay for the wall was just an empty

00:29:18.520 campaign slogan is bad enough. What makes it worse is that there is actually a way to get Mexico to 0.94

00:29:22.800 pay for the wall, impose fees on remittances sent to Mexico and other countries by illegal aliens.

00:29:27.480 As president, I will get this done. No more bluster. Results are all that matter.

00:29:30.380 However, this is a good attack. I don't think that Trump's admission there is going to hurt him

00:29:37.520 really all that much. I agree with what Trump said in 2016, which is that he could basically

00:29:42.420 shoot somebody in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue and he probably wouldn't lose a single vote.

00:29:46.720 I think that's true because I think most people, when they heard we're going to get Mexico to pay 0.69

00:29:50.240 for it, understood that to mean we're going to get them to pay for it through, I don't know,

00:29:55.380 rewriting trade deals, like rewriting NAFTA, for instance, or through potentially through

00:29:59.400 remittances, like Governor DeSantis is suggesting, or through this or through that. But I don't think

00:30:04.700 most people understood that to mean we're going to send an invoice to Mexico and the president of

00:30:07.980 Mexico is going to pay for it. Still, though, I think DeSantis is very smart to pursue this line

00:30:12.420 of attack. I think he's very smart to attack Trump from the right. I think some of the GOP consultant

00:30:17.920 class has wanted DeSantis to lay off some of the cultural issues and to present himself as,

00:30:24.420 I'm the sane alternative. We're team sanity over here. We're not like those crazy lunatic

00:30:31.060 Trumper type people. And I think that is just totally the wrong framing. That is GOP establishment

00:30:36.620 donor, you know, chamber of commerce nonsense, okay? That's accepting the framing of Jon Stewart and

00:30:43.960 Stephen Colbert. Do you remember about 10 years ago, right around the 2012 race, there was a rally to

00:30:50.700 restore sanity with these two liberal comedians and commentators, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. 0.96

00:30:56.040 Because those Tea Party people or those Sarah Palin type people, they're so crazy. They're insane. 1.00

00:31:02.260 We're the sane people, okay? And so for whatever GOP consultant class types have convinced Ron

00:31:08.380 DeSantis to run as, I'm the sane candidate. I'm not insane like Donald Trump. I think they're a large

00:31:14.520 part of the reason why DeSantis is in the doldrums when it comes to the poll numbers. I think his best

00:31:18.800 shot is to go after Trump from the right, from the cultural issues, the kind of cultural issues

00:31:25.080 that got Glenn Youngkin elected in Virginia, that made Ron DeSantis popular in Florida,

00:31:28.680 that the GOP consultant class freaking hates, but they're excellent, strong issues.

00:31:33.840 He needs to take the fight to him. And his answer needs to be not, look, I'm going to restore sanity

00:31:39.100 and civility, and we're not going to call Mexicans murderers and rapists, and we're not going to

00:31:42.940 force them to pay for any wall. His answer needs to be, yeah, we're going to make him pay for

00:31:46.180 twice as much of the wall that Trump made him pay for. That's his only shot. And it's probably not

00:31:51.120 going to work either because Trump is so far ahead. He's got such an advantage. He's practically an

00:31:56.580 incumbent. He's 50 points up if you believe any of the polls, you know, 40 to 50 points up if you

00:32:02.520 believe any of the polls. So it's still a long shot. But I think DeSantis is beginning to realize

00:32:07.380 this is his only shot. He's not going to make peace with Trump. The die is cast. They're enemies now,

00:32:14.960 okay? And so he can either just sort of fade away like many of Trump's opponents, or he can dig in,

00:32:22.880 hit him from the right, and then hope to pop up at a later time. Either hope to win the nomination

00:32:28.960 somehow or pop up at another time when people rethink the GOP and Ron DeSantis starts to look

00:32:36.080 like the real conservative standard bearer. I think that's the game he's playing right now.

00:32:41.500 GOP in 76 nominates Jerry Ford over Ronald Reagan. Then Ronald Reagan gives a speech at the RNC.

00:32:48.360 And I think a lot of Republicans regretted nominating Jerry Ford because Reagan gave this

00:32:52.660 clear, relatively more conservative political vision. If DeSantis is going to have any shot,

00:32:58.700 that's his shot. It's not going to be the, I'm the sane alternative, okay? I'm going to just

00:33:04.140 restore things to normalcy. No, nobody wants that, man. The normal status quo that we had pre-Trump is the

00:33:10.980 reason we elected Trump, because the normal is extremely abnormal. Because the normal these

00:33:15.700 days is parents don't have any rights, and boys are girls, and we're going to upend our whole 0.93

00:33:20.620 political order, and we're not going to have any borders. And that's, if that's normal, we don't

00:33:23.840 want normal, okay? We want to shake things up. Now, I think that's all a great strategy for DeSantis.

00:33:30.340 That said, the race still isn't moving. And don't shoot the messenger on this, especially because I'm

00:33:37.980 citing the Messenger-Harris poll. But I said, after that second debate, I said, Ron DeSantis was the

00:33:43.080 clear winner. He did great, relatively to the other people on stage. And it's not going to matter.

00:33:49.900 The debate just doesn't matter at all. If the debate did matter, then it would help DeSantis, but the

00:33:53.300 debate doesn't matter, so it won't. And please don't shoot the messenger. Seems that I was correct.

00:33:59.060 According to Messenger-Harris, most Republicans polled believe that DeSantis won, and also that

00:34:07.120 doesn't matter, because the numbers haven't really moved. People are still just as likely to support

00:34:13.520 Trump or DeSantis or any of the other candidates as they were before the debate, even though they

00:34:17.920 acknowledge that DeSantis won that debate. Now, speaking of electability for the GOP, moving past

00:34:23.280 the candidates for a second, there's another important poll out that shows that voters favor the

00:34:29.000 GOP on the economy by the widest margin ever recorded. So NBC's liberal poll shows the GOP

00:34:39.300 with a 21-point lead over the Democrats when it comes to handling of the economy. This poll goes

00:34:46.560 back to 1991. This is the biggest margin ever. The question is, will that be reflected at the ballot

00:34:55.740 box? All of these indicators are showing that the Republicans have a strong advantage here.

00:35:05.340 If it were just one poll measuring just one aspect of political life, you might say, well,

00:35:11.040 the poll could be wrong. Well, maybe that aspect of life didn't matter so much. But consistently here,

00:35:17.740 you see, Trump versus Biden, Trump wins. Consistently, you see, on the question of the economy,

00:35:23.720 the Republicans beat the Democrats, consistently on all of these individual issues, from border

00:35:29.540 security to parental rights to the funding of the war in Ukraine, Republicans are on the popular side

00:35:35.380 of those issues. Democrats, in virtually every case, Democrats are on the unpopular side.

00:35:41.700 So do you think that the Republicans are going to win in 2024? I'm not convinced of that.

00:35:45.520 Just as I am convinced that it's most likely that Trump will be the GOP nominee, I'm not convinced

00:35:51.840 he's going to beat Biden or whoever the Democrat is. And not necessarily because of his flaws.

00:35:59.620 I am not convinced that the ballot box will accurately reflect the decision of the people.

00:36:07.720 Someone asked, Michael, what group did Trump underperform with in 2020 that he's going to do

00:36:14.180 better with in 2024? I said, I think the dead. Pretty sure I'm convinced that Donald Trump

00:36:19.140 severely underperformed among the dead in 2020, especially in bellwether and, you know, crucial

00:36:25.300 counties. And so I think that his campaign needs to increase their outreach to the deceased community

00:36:31.060 and all of the other communities that are disproportionately likely to vote by mail and in

00:36:36.460 ballot drop boxes. That's a real issue. These are all really encouraging numbers, especially

00:36:41.280 on the economy because people do often vote with their wallets. But none of that matters. It's the

00:36:47.580 advice that none of that matters if, as FDR told LBJ, you don't sit on the ballot box. None of that

00:36:54.480 matters if you don't have poll watchers who are making sure that there's no fraud. Or in the case

00:36:58.680 of the advice of FDR to LBJ, he was actually encouraging a little bit more fraud, which LBJ then

00:37:04.220 followed in 1948 and stole a Senate seat and then ultimately became president of the United States.

00:37:08.740 So I don't think Republicans should steal elections, but we got to make sure

00:37:11.700 that the Democrats don't. You got to watch the ballot box.

00:37:46.700 My favorite comment yesterday is from Noah Hastings, 6145, who says,

00:37:52.080 the microphone on set is a great choice, very classy, but kind of sucks that Michael is visibly 1.00

00:37:55.900 using a lav mic instead to find a mic that's functional and stylish. I will tell you, my friend,

00:38:00.900 it's true, I'm wearing a lavalier mic here. It's just a backup mic. This is, this is, this is my

00:38:10.160 real microphone. That was not always the case. Previously, I had a mic, it was a real mic, but it

00:38:15.700 was kind of a dummy. We used the desk mic as a backup, and we used the lav as the direct microphone,

00:38:22.640 but now we've flipped it. And this is very troubling for me because I had gotten used to

00:38:28.000 gesticulating with my hands like a wild Southern Italian and knocking the microphone over. And it

00:38:32.320 didn't really matter, even though it would make our audio engineer wince. But now, this is it,

00:38:36.900 baby. The golden microphone. My last thing that I did in L.A. before I moved out was I got to fill

00:38:42.420 in for Rush Limbaugh and sit behind the golden EIB microphone. And the only reason I wasn't able to

00:38:47.800 fill in more at that time was that my own radio show was announced a few days later on a different

00:38:53.740 network. But I was, I got, I got to sit behind that. I thought, oh my goodness, the golden EIB

00:38:58.640 microphone, Rush Limbaugh, the king of talk radio. And now, baby, we've got the functioning

00:39:03.620 gold microphone right here on this desk. It's not the fully gold EIB microphone. There's no other

00:39:09.720 Rush Limbaugh, but it's a little bit, it's got enough gold, okay? And speaking of gold, boy, what a

00:39:16.800 fortuitous transition. Speaking of gold, Costco has a new product that they are selling out of,

00:39:22.480 and that is gold bars. I love this story. I can't believe this exists. Costco has everything,

00:39:29.160 man. They've got $1.50 hot dogs with unlimited refills of Diet Coke and nice little ground-up

00:39:33.700 onions on it. They've got free samples. You can make a brunch out of it. They've got massage chairs.

00:39:38.760 They've got chinos and Oxford shirts. They've got 50,000 packs of seltzer. They've got everything.

00:39:45.500 And now they have bars of gold that they are selling out of. Part of the reason they're selling

00:39:53.220 out is because, you know this, if you're a Costco aficionado as I am, if you get the slightly more

00:39:57.720 expensive Costco card, then you get 2% back. And apparently, you get 2% back on gold as well,

00:40:02.740 so you're getting an effective 2% discount on every ounce of gold you buy, which is pretty great.

00:40:07.360 But also, what this tells us is people don't have confidence in the stock market.

00:40:14.560 This is an actual political indicator. The fact that Costco can't stock gold bars fast enough

00:40:20.480 is an indicator that people don't believe the stock market. They think it's headed for a crash.

00:40:24.980 I think it's probably headed for a crash or at least a significant dip. That's going to affect

00:40:29.240 the 2024 race as well. We are still grappling with the insane inflation that came to us by way of

00:40:37.040 COVID lockdowns and Joe Biden's massive spending. And the whole time, we were told that inflation

00:40:44.660 was not going to be an issue, that actually they were going to curb inflation, that Joe Biden was

00:40:49.000 going to pass the Inflation Reduction Act. That was going to curb inflation, though it didn't. And all

00:40:53.000 serious analyses on it suggest that it either didn't affect inflation or made inflation worse.

00:40:58.000 What has thus far controlled inflation to the degree that it has been controlled is the Fed,

00:41:04.600 the Fed finally raising interest rates. But our economy is extremely precarious right now.

00:41:13.440 And you can have all the geniuses on TV in their suits and ties saying,

00:41:16.320 oh no, everything's great. Joe Biden's doing fine. It's the most wonderful economy ever.

00:41:21.620 When people stop stocking up on the gold bars, then I'll finally believe that.

00:41:26.220 Speaking of questionable finances, the House is investigating Joe Biden's bribes that he would

00:41:33.860 seem to have taken from lots of countries around the world, including Ukraine and China. They've now

00:41:39.660 brought a forensic accountant to testify about how these sorts of crimes are conducted. Does anything

00:41:46.020 sound familiar in this testimony?

00:41:47.640 Mr. Dubinsky, you have extensive experience as an expert witness and consultant in the areas of

00:41:55.040 white collar crime, financial fraud and corruption. Is it characteristic of these types of crimes that

00:42:00.640 actors hide behind nicknames or other pseudonyms to master identity? It's very common. What about

00:42:06.240 this first email image is characteristic of financial crimes that you have investigated or provided expert

00:42:11.320 testimony on in the past? Well, typically you'll see code names used and money is being paid to

00:42:17.080 somebody under that code name. And that's how these processes work.

00:42:21.460 Let me ask you something. You're very experienced. When conducting an investigation, if your boss

00:42:26.600 prevented you from taking investigative steps, how would you react? How would it affect your findings?

00:42:32.560 First, it would be extremely troubling if I was told not to continue to investigate something.

00:42:37.480 And if I was put in that position, I'd probably withdraw from the investigation.

00:42:40.920 So we know that the DOJ, that Weiss, who's now the special counsel, when he was investigating

00:42:46.440 the Hunter Biden, really Joe Biden scandal on bribes, was stymied at crucial steps. We said,

00:42:55.760 no, you can't really ask that question. You can't really go there. We've heard this from IRS

00:42:58.820 whistleblowers. We also know from Hunter Biden's laptop that Joe Biden was referred to as the big guy.

00:43:06.120 The big guy. Hey, we got to send 10% to the big guy. Who's the big guy? Are we talking about Al Capone?

00:43:13.420 Sort of. I guess we're talking about the Al Capone of the Bidens, which is Joe Biden.

00:43:17.020 We now also know that Joe Biden's brother, Frank, who has also made his career just peddling his

00:43:22.900 brother's name and American influence, Frank Biden has referred to his brother as the big guy.

00:43:29.580 When his brother calls, Frank Biden will interrupt business and say, oh, the big guy's calling.

00:43:33.000 Here's the big guy. And you'll recall when Biden was first accused of this impropriety,

00:43:41.720 what was the response from Team Biden? The response was, show me on paper where Joe Biden got a direct

00:43:48.760 payment from China or from Ukraine. And you're never going to see that. Joe might not be the

00:43:55.240 swiftest person out there, but he's not a complete dummy, okay? He at least is clever enough politically

00:44:00.860 to know how to cover his tracks, have holding corporations and use code names. So it's not going

00:44:06.260 to say, you know, okay, here, quarter million dollars to Joe Biden. Though they did set, the Chinese did 1.00

00:44:11.740 send $260,000 in a couple of wire payments to Joe Biden's home address in Delaware. So they didn't

00:44:17.480 cover it up perfectly. But that's what this is. The guy is obviously guilty. The GOP is going to keep

00:44:25.560 digging in on this. There's going to continue to be more drip, drip, drip, leak, leak, leak. They've

00:44:29.880 pulled the thread far enough now, I think. And because the election is drawing near and our enemies

00:44:34.900 generally tend to like chaos in our elections, probably you're going to get a little bit more

00:44:39.880 information out of China. Who knows? Maybe you get a little more information even out of Ukraine,

00:44:44.400 though Ukraine is still counting on the Bidens to fund their war. But China, I could see them kind of

00:44:48.180 messing around a little bit. Or who knows which other intelligence agencies have this kind of dirt.

00:44:52.440 I mean, the fact that Hunter Biden left his laptop at just some random shop, such that we got to see

00:44:58.060 terabytes of information. Who knows how many intelligence agencies around the world know about

00:45:02.420 Joe Biden's crooked business deals. This is going to continue to look worse for him throughout the

00:45:09.020 election. Does it look bad enough to replace Joe Biden at the top of the ticket? Or is he going to be

00:45:16.300 able to hold on? We're all focused on the fight on the Republican side. There is going to be an

00:45:21.940 increasingly intense fight on the Democrat side, at least behind the scenes. And there is always

00:45:27.700 going to be a Newsom there, a very sharp political talent, Gavin Newsom, waiting to jump in. He's

00:45:33.680 already dealt with the open Senate seat in California quite well, the one vacated when

00:45:40.340 Dianne Feinstein died. There's a little bit of a scandal with that Senate seat as well, but we're

00:45:46.220 going to have, this is going to be my tease. You know I'm a big tease. We're going to have to wait for

00:45:49.420 that until tomorrow because today is, can I say it? Can I say it on YouTube? Today is
