00:00:30.340 A Senate staffer was discovered over the weekend to have filmed himself committing
00:00:34.540 an extremely inappropriate action in the Senate Judiciary Hearing Room.
00:00:39.660 Now, this is a family show, so I'm not going to use any explicit language.
00:00:45.040 But I do want to cover the story, which exposes a lot.
00:00:49.000 It exposes everything just about.
00:00:51.000 But specifically, it exposes the flagrant degeneracy that has for some time now
00:00:56.340 rotted our leading public institutions.
00:00:58.680 So, instead of explicit language, I am going to use euphemisms that were crowdsourced from Twitter
00:01:06.820 to describe this action.
00:01:09.280 Some are describing what was filmed in the Senate Hearing Room as an insurrectum.
00:01:17.700 Others have suggested that this staffer simply misread the sign on the door
00:01:21.660 and thought he was entering the Senate Rearing Room.
00:01:25.340 Still others have called the display a clear-cut case of rump derangement syndrome.
00:01:31.420 I, for one, take a more charitable view because, in their defense, these two men were simply acting out
00:01:39.560 what the U.S. Senate does to the American people every single day.
00:01:42.760 The staffer is reportedly a Democrat, of course, named Aiden Maize-Sheropsky.
00:01:50.280 According to writer and political strategist Ryan Gerdusky, the staffer appeared in a campaign video back in 2020 for Joe Biden.
00:02:00.620 Biden posted the video to Twitter with the comment, quote,
00:02:04.080 From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
00:02:06.980 One can almost hear the staffer responding, quote,
00:02:11.500 From the heart of my bottom, Mr. President, thank you, too.
00:02:14.840 Now, for his part, the staffer is sort of denying the accusations.
00:02:21.360 But the denial fell flat after he was promptly removed from the Senate staff in the wake of the scandal.
00:02:27.860 Even a cursory glance at screenshots from the staffer's social media channels, shall we say, lend credibility to the allegations.
00:02:35.880 So, the young Democrat took to LinkedIn to explain himself, quote,
00:02:41.100 This has been a difficult time for me, the staffer wrote, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda.
00:02:50.700 While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.
00:02:59.220 Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated,
00:03:02.640 and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.
00:03:06.800 Now, it sounds crazy, but as a member of a legally protected class,
00:03:11.540 there's a non-zero chance this guy walks away or limps away, perhaps, with a payout.
00:03:16.840 That is how identity politics works today.
00:03:19.900 Hence, the reference to being, quote,
00:03:22.080 attacked for who I love.
00:03:23.600 But the issue with this young man is not who he loves, but rather how he loves.
00:03:32.240 Contrary to popular bumper stickers, there are different kinds of love, as well as right and wrong ways to love.
00:03:40.260 You love your wife and you love your dog, but you do not, one hopes, love them in the same way.
00:03:46.640 You certainly can't love a male Senate staffer in the way that you love your wife.
00:03:53.180 It's not physically possible.
00:03:54.880 And even if you could, it would still be wrong.
00:03:57.740 Kind of funny, but extremely wrong and disgusting to do it in a Senate hearing room.
00:04:04.040 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:04:04.700 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:05:54.580 That is Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898.
00:05:58.400 A lot has happened since I've been away.
00:06:00.720 Some of you know I was in India.
00:06:02.900 I went to India because I posted on Twitter.
00:06:06.380 I said, should I move to India and become a professional sitar player?
00:06:10.600 I will abide by the results of this poll.
00:06:12.820 And you people sent me to India.
00:06:14.440 So I'm a man of my word.
00:06:16.600 I took it very seriously.
00:06:18.260 I flew from Nashville to Atlanta, Atlanta to Paris, Paris to Dubai.
00:06:25.420 Then I got in a car in Dubai, took a taxi to Sharjah Airport, then flew from Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram.
00:06:33.100 But then here's where things got a little dicey.
00:06:36.020 I forgot my sitar.
00:06:39.340 You know, you're packing.
00:06:40.760 It's hectic.
00:06:41.360 Oh, did I remember my toothbrush?
00:06:42.720 Did I remember my sitar?
00:06:43.720 So I got there.
00:06:44.620 I realized I didn't have my sitar.
00:06:45.800 I posted another poll.
00:06:46.580 I said, should I, I can't get my hands on a sitar.
00:06:49.340 Should I go back and pick up my sitar before then returning to India to pursue my dream of becoming a professional sitar player?
00:06:56.560 And you voted yes.
00:06:57.860 So then I flew back from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai, Dubai to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to New York, JFK, took a cab to New York, LaGuardia, then took a flight back to Nashville Airport last night.
00:07:10.400 The trip was not a total loss because coincidentally, a very close friend of mine just coincidentally happened to be getting married in India during that trip.
00:07:19.420 So not a total loss, but good to be back.
00:07:21.700 So much has happened since I was gone.
00:07:23.780 Actually, so much has happened even since I wrote this show last night, which is that apparently someone rammed into President Biden's motorcade, which means that the number of Democrats who are getting rear-ended these days is much higher than one would have expected.
00:07:40.400 And then there was even more important news.
00:07:43.140 Tim Poole came out with a cover of Together Again, the famed hit by Smokey Mike and the God King, and the song hit number one on the iTunes chart, which is where you should go right now to download it.
00:07:56.700 Now, there's a whole backstory to Smokey Mike and the God King, which you can hear in Tim's teaser for the song.
00:08:02.260 The year is 1967, and something incredible happens to music.
00:08:07.080 Smokey Mike and the God King unveiled their hit song Together Again.
00:08:10.400 The song was massive, charting in both 1967 and 1968, and spent 87 weeks at number one.
00:08:18.800 Needless to say, America was hooked, and a legacy was born.
00:08:22.800 A legacy that continues to this day.
00:08:25.860 What inspired you to bring a song of this magnitude into the world?
00:08:29.980 I think it's no secret that our band was effectively done after Ian was caught mercilessly beating that child.
00:08:36.400 But I was hoping there was some way we could turn things around.
00:08:39.820 Working with my mentor, Phil Labonte, I asked him, is there something we can do that's not been done that'll be big?
00:08:46.460 And he pointed out, with all these greats like the Beatles, with Zeppelin, you know, and Smokey Mike and the God King, there are a lot of opportunities for modern versions that have not been done properly.
00:08:56.460 Now, a lot of people have covered Zeppelin, of course, but no one's done a good modern version of Together Again.
00:09:01.220 And he was right.
00:09:03.140 And I think that's when we realized, if we get this, we get this right, it could be huge.
00:09:08.620 Could be huge.
00:09:09.380 Now, the backstory to that backstory is a couple years ago, Jeremy and I played our song to a sold-out crowd at the Ryman.
00:09:17.420 I've been alone so long, but this time, I'm growing stronger with you, I'm growing stronger with you, this time.
00:09:30.660 So you got the backstory and the backstory of the backstory, but there's actually a backstory to the backstory of the backstory.
00:09:55.180 And that backstory is what is politically relevant.
00:09:59.660 The story is that Jeremy and I wanted to cover Happy Together by the Turtles for that show.
00:10:04.540 We thought it would be funny.
00:10:05.520 But since it was being videotaped, we needed to secure the rights to the song, which is usually just a perfunctory request immediately granted for a minor fee.
00:10:14.560 Unless it's conservatives who are the ones who want to cover the music, in which case, the request gets shut down.
00:10:21.220 We were shocked.
00:10:21.880 We talked to friends in the music industry.
00:10:24.780 One extremely successful songwriter in particular was shocked.
00:10:28.160 He said he'd never heard of such a request being rejected.
00:10:31.880 So we called the company that holds the rights and we tried to clear it up.
00:10:35.180 They said no.
00:10:36.120 We offered more money.
00:10:37.740 They said no.
00:10:38.460 We offered even more money.
00:10:40.000 No.
00:10:40.740 Finally, Jeremy, who will pay any price for a joke, offered them $150,000.
00:10:46.840 $150,000 just for the performance rights one time to this old song.
00:10:53.520 And we were told that there is no amount of money we could offer that would get us the rights.
00:10:58.800 So we had no other choice but to write a song ourselves, which is how the original Together Again was born, which is how Tim Pool's cover of Together Again was born, which is an excellent cover, by the way.
00:11:09.560 I've been alone for so long.
00:11:13.340 This time, I'm going stronger with you.
00:11:21.240 I've been alone for so long.
00:11:24.380 This time, I'm going stronger with you.
00:11:29.280 Great song.
00:11:49.680 Worth buying in its own right.
00:11:50.760 But especially worth buying when you remember that you can stick it to lib music executives who hate us for the low price of only 67 cents or whatever.
00:11:59.780 I don't know what a song costs to download on iTunes, but for that low price, you can get it.
00:12:03.680 So please, if you love great music, if you love owning the libs, if you are not that attached to the change in your pocket, please head on over to iTunes or Amazon Music to download Together Again by Tim Pool, by Michael Knowles, and Jeremy Boring.
00:12:17.380 Smokey Mike and the God King today.
00:12:20.760 Speaking of owning the libs, there's an American hero who deserves some credit, even though this story is a few days old at this point.
00:12:30.660 Michael Cassidy, 35-year-old former Navy pilot who showed up to the Iowa State Capitol while I was gone.
00:12:37.720 One of the last stories we covered on this show before I flew to India was the story of the satanic statue being erected by the satanic temple in the Iowa State Capitol.
00:12:48.320 And the way that this was permitted to happen is because of a gross misreading of the First Amendment and the establishment clause of the First Amendment and the notion of religious freedom in the American political tradition.
00:12:59.940 Because of a gross liberal leftist atheist BS misreading of that, there is now a statue of, sorry, there was a statue of Baphomet, a devil, a demon, up in the Iowa State Capitol until this guy, Michael Cassidy, 35-year-old former Navy pilot, went in, knocked it over, and beheaded the statue.
00:13:20.260 Just would like to take a brief pause to applaud, rather, Mr. Cassidy.
00:13:27.980 Great work, American hero.
00:13:30.140 He's now charged with fourth degree criminal mischief.
00:13:32.960 I do not advocate disturbing the public order.
00:13:40.180 I do not advocate destroying property, private or public property.
00:13:44.640 But, you know, it really is difficult for me to take seriously the left-wing objections to knocking down statues when the left has spent the last 5, 10, I don't know, 30 years,
00:13:56.720 but especially in the last 5 to 10 years, destroying beautiful statues of important American heroes, beheading statues of Christopher Columbus, tearing down statues of Thomas Jefferson,
00:14:08.860 attacking statues of Frederick Douglass, okay, and U.S. Grant.
00:14:14.040 After they've been doing that, and we were told this is wonderful, this is beautiful, this is liberation, this is for equality and fairness,
00:14:20.900 then a Navy pilot goes in and tears down a statue of the actual devil in the Iowa State Capitol at Christmastime,
00:14:29.320 and we're told, oh, it's a terrible crime, throw him in jail, throw away the key.
00:14:33.980 What did Mr. Cassidy say about this?
00:14:35.580 He said, the world may tell Christians to submissively accept the legitimization of Satan,
00:14:41.600 but none of the founders would have considered government sanction of satanic altars inside Capitol buildings as protected by the First Amendment.
00:14:46.940 Totally true.
00:14:47.500 If you want to learn more about that fact that is misunderstood today, you can go get Speechless, Controlling Words, Controlling Minds, my book on this very topic.
00:14:54.400 Thank you very much.
00:14:56.180 Mr. Cassidy goes on.
00:14:57.400 Anti-Christian values have steadily been mainstreamed more and more in recent decades,
00:15:01.080 and Christians have largely acted like the proverbial frog in the boiling pot of water.
00:15:06.020 Totally true.
00:15:07.260 100% correct.
00:15:08.660 Thank you, Mr. Cassidy, for accurately and concisely articulating the true meaning of the First Amendment, the Establishment Clause, and religious freedom.
00:15:16.680 I'm sorry to say that the Republican Iowa governor, Kim Reynolds, had a completely wrong response to this.
00:15:24.600 She said, like many Iowans, I find, oh, this is just the squishiest, oh, man, this is just like the perfect squish take on, sorry, I'm going to get through it without articulating my disgust the entire time.
00:15:39.200 Here's what she said.
00:15:40.320 Like many Iowans, I find the Satanic Temple's display in the Capitol absolutely objectionable.
00:15:44.300 In a free society, the best response to objectionable speech is more speech.
00:15:49.140 And I would encourage all those of faith to join me today in praying over the Capitol and recognizing the nativity scene that will be on display, the true reason for the season.
00:15:57.280 Yeah, okay.
00:15:57.920 Okay, this is like an excrement sandwich of an answer because the first part is pretty good.
00:16:06.320 Yes, I find the satanic display objectionable.
00:16:08.580 Good, I'm glad you're not a Satanist, Governor Reynolds.
00:16:11.160 Great.
00:16:12.080 I find it totally objectionable.
00:16:14.020 That's the first part.
00:16:14.820 The bottom part, the bottom bun is we should all be praying, we should be recognizing the nativity scene, the creche in the Capitol, it's Christmas season.
00:16:21.920 Yeah, absolutely, that's true.
00:16:23.020 But then there's that excrement right in the middle of her answer, which is, it's a free society, so we need to, the best thing we can do is encourage the Satanists to have their stupid display up.
00:16:33.560 And then we'll have our display, and then we'll have the endless displays, and that's a free society.
00:16:38.220 There is no, there is no satanic altar guarantee in the religious freedom tradition of the United States.
00:16:49.240 There is no satanic altar sanction listed in the First Amendment or the Establishment Clause.
00:16:56.640 Total weak sauce from Governor Reynolds.
00:16:59.000 Pathetic, actually.
00:17:00.320 I hate to be so harsh on a fellow Republican, but it's a pathetic answer.
00:17:05.060 Yes, we should be offended by the satanic display.
00:17:08.480 Yes, we should pray and recognize the nativity scene.
00:17:10.900 We in no way have to hand it to the Satanists ever under any circumstances, okay?
00:17:16.520 I, I'm not saying that I support tearing down statues and beheading them, and if it's private or public property, but what Mr. Cassidy did here is certainly one of the more justifiable acts of civil disobedience in recent years.
00:17:31.220 We've heard a lot about the importance of civil disobedience when it's BLM going around murdering people for eight months, going around burning down buildings and looting sneaker stores.
00:17:40.400 That's a wonderful display of civil disobedience, but when it's someone attacking an actual satanic idol on government grounds, oh, no, no, now you're attacking the First Amendment.
00:17:50.500 Give me a freaking break.
00:17:52.380 If Governor Reynolds' response is the conservative response, well, actually, in a society, we should encourage the Satanists.
00:18:00.120 Yes, yes, and then we'll have our speech, and they'll have their speech, and we'll all just have, we'll just increasing the number of Baphomet displays and conversely Christian displays until no one can walk around the Capitol because of all the little devil statues standing around.
00:18:14.700 If that's the conservative response, who needs conservatives?
00:18:18.260 What are conservatives good for?
00:18:19.740 Absolutely nothing.
00:18:23.060 Religious freedom.
00:18:23.820 There is no religious freedom argument that justifies the Satanic Temple's display here, in large part because the Satanic Temple admits that it's not a religious organization.
00:18:34.720 The Satanic Temple openly, explicitly says that it is a mockery of religion.
00:18:40.800 They don't actually even worship the devil, so they think.
00:18:43.760 They do, but they just don't realize it.
00:18:45.760 They're worshiping the devil ironically, which it is not possible to do because if you ironically worship the devil, you are earnestly worshiping the devil.
00:18:52.080 But anyway, they think that it's all just a big joke.
00:18:54.880 They're just a bunch of edgy Reddit-tier atheists.
00:18:57.840 So they can't even claim that this is their sincerely held religious belief.
00:19:01.540 They're admitting that it's not.
00:19:03.180 There goes that very basic religious freedom argument.
00:19:06.680 But also, religion is not just some totally subjective term that we can define into meaning whatever we want it to mean.
00:19:14.820 I know that the left has succeeded in recent years in convincing people, even conservatives often, that words can just mean whatever we want them to mean.
00:19:23.840 But religion has a meaning.
00:19:26.280 Religion is a habit of virtue that inclines the will to give God what he deserves.
00:19:31.700 That's religion, okay?
00:19:32.760 So, worshiping Satan, or not recognizing God even for that matter, is not and has never seriously been considered a matter of religious freedom.
00:19:45.620 None of our founding fathers would have said that was a matter of religious freedom.
00:19:49.120 John Locke, the father of liberalism, the man who promoted religious freedom, he certainly wouldn't have agreed with that.
00:19:54.900 He explicitly opposed that view, actually.
00:19:57.040 It's just ridiculous.
00:19:58.840 But if this is the way we talk about religious freedom now, then I think we need a better term, just to make it clear for people.
00:20:05.660 And the better term, ironically, is an older term, and that's toleration.
00:20:12.220 Conservatives, we kind of make fun of the notion of tolerance.
00:20:15.480 So, all these liberals, they just want tolerance, all that they're going to have museums to tolerance and all this.
00:20:21.220 But toleration is a good thing.
00:20:25.060 I'm very pro-toleration.
00:20:26.900 There's a big debate going on now between notions of America that involve Christian nationalism versus, I don't know, I guess you'd call it just total libertinism or libertarianism.
00:20:41.460 They say the Christian nationalists, they're terrible.
00:20:43.900 They want a theocracy.
00:20:45.260 No, not exactly.
00:20:46.540 I mean, all governments have religious views.
00:20:50.760 That's been true for all of history everywhere in the world.
00:20:53.100 Even today, we pretend to be secular and atheist, but we have religious views.
00:20:57.940 Those religious views are articulated in the DEI initiatives, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
00:21:02.960 They're expressed in the ESG initiatives and the climate religion that has taken over the world.
00:21:09.940 Of course, there are religious views because all politics ultimately comes down to theology.
00:21:14.740 All human conflict ultimately is theological.
00:21:17.660 So, what would it mean?
00:21:20.220 If we don't want to be a liberal leftist Satan-worshipping country, and we want to go back to being a Christian country, which is what we were founded to be and what we always have been until very, very recently, then what does that look like?
00:21:31.960 Does that mean we're going to be a rigid, cruel theocracy that is bad for Jews and Muslims and agnostics even and atheists even?
00:21:41.220 No, it doesn't actually means that we're going to go back to being what we were when we were a normal country, which is obviously Christian, publicly Christian, founded to be a model of Christian charity in a shiny city on a hill by people who call themselves pilgrims.
00:21:57.640 But we're going to have a wide degree of tolerance for religious minorities and people who disagree, and that's a good thing.
00:22:07.020 But tolerance doesn't mean that you need to put these things on equal footings.
00:22:10.080 You might even tolerate these redditeer, edgy, atheist, so-called Satanists to some degree.
00:22:16.020 You might tolerate them having their stupid rituals and practices in private to some degree.
00:22:23.160 But what it does not mean is that we're going to put these things on equal footing.
00:22:27.980 America is not a Muslim country.
00:22:30.120 I like Muslims.
00:22:30.720 I just spent a lot of time with Muslims while I was traveling over to India.
00:22:33.340 I like Hindus.
00:22:34.420 I spent a lot of time with Hindus.
00:22:36.220 I like Jews.
00:22:37.080 I grew up in New York.
00:22:37.960 Virtually all of my friends were Jewish.
00:22:40.080 I like even the Reddit edgy atheists, of whom I was one for a long period of my life.
00:22:47.680 I like all of these people, and their views can be given a wide degree of tolerance.
00:22:55.220 But let's not pretend that America is a Muslim country.
00:22:57.940 It's not.
00:22:58.380 It never has been.
00:22:59.260 Let's not pretend that America is an atheist country.
00:23:01.420 It is not.
00:23:01.960 It never has been.
00:23:02.520 And let's sure as hell not pretend that America is a Satanist country, a Satanic country, which it at least was not founded to be, but which it will be if we start exalting statues of Baphomet in our state capitals.
00:23:17.480 Have I made my point clear?
00:23:19.000 I hope so.
00:23:19.680 Now, when you want to protect yourself from our increasingly Satanic political order, you're going to want to check out ExpressVPN.

00:24:11.580 It says that your activity might still be visible to your employer, your school, or your internet service provider.
00:24:16.620 However, without ExpressVPN, every site you visit could be logged by the admin of that network.

00:25:52.880 Speaking of religion and government, Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu has just invited some members of the Boston government to a Christmas party.
00:26:06.200 She's only invited some of them because the Christmas party is for non-white people.
00:26:11.540 So white people are not allowed to go.
00:26:13.480 So the only reason the white people found out about this is because City Council Relations Director Denise Dos Santos
00:26:18.600 accidentally sent an email to all City Council members, inviting them to the Electeds of Color holiday party.
00:26:26.460 Right off the bat, you know it's a bad thing.
00:26:31.600 Holiday party.
00:26:32.420 What's the holiday?
00:26:33.540 What holiday are we celebrating?
00:26:36.140 Is it Kwanzaa?
00:26:37.300 That's not a real holiday.
00:26:39.220 Virtually no one celebrates Kwanzaa.
00:26:40.960 It was a contrivance of a woman-beating, torturing, socialist lunatic named Molana Karenga.
00:26:50.480 His real name is Ron Everett, but during the Black Power Movement, he renamed himself Molana Karenga,
00:26:54.520 and then he imprisoned women and put soldering irons on them and hit them on the head with toasters and electrocuted them and did all sorts of terrible things.
00:27:00.460 Anyway, he invented Kwanzaa as a socialist holiday, and virtually no one celebrates it.
00:27:04.320 So it's not Kwanzaa.
00:27:05.080 Is it Hanukkah?
00:27:05.700 Hanukkah is a minor Jewish holiday.
00:27:08.380 It has been elevated in America to be a bigger holiday than it traditionally had been in Judaism, but only to make it the kind of Jewish version of Christmas.
00:27:16.880 But it's just not.
00:27:18.080 Jews have many more significant holidays at different times of the year.
00:27:21.240 Kwanzaa is, or Hanukkah rather, is not that big a deal.
00:27:23.960 It's Christmas is the holiday.
00:27:26.220 But the libs can't say Christmas because they hate Christianity and true religion and tradition and, you know, apple pie and hot dogs and anything American at all that traditionally our civilization likes.
00:27:40.700 So it's the Electeds of Color Holiday Party.
00:27:43.280 And here's the email.
00:27:44.160 Now, on behalf of Mayor Michelle Wu, I cordially invite you to the Electeds of Color Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 13th at 5.30 p.m. at the Parkman House, 33 Beacon Street.
00:27:55.540 Some white people receive this.
00:27:56.820 They say, hold on.
00:27:57.520 Wait, what?
00:27:58.500 The Electeds of Color?
00:27:59.800 Do I?
00:28:00.380 And then she follows up.
00:28:01.380 She goes, hey, I wanted to apologize for my previous email regarding the holiday party for tomorrow.
00:28:05.660 Oh, notice she doesn't call it the Electeds of Color Holiday Party.
00:28:08.320 Ugh, yikes.
00:28:08.980 The whites found out about the Electeds of Color Party.
00:28:14.520 Okay, no, it's the holiday party for tomorrow.
00:28:16.120 I did send that to everyone by accident.
00:28:18.320 I apologize if my email may have offended or came across as so.
00:28:22.780 Now, this email is almost not in coherent English.
00:28:27.200 Well, it's not in coherent English.
00:28:28.540 It's almost impossible to interpret.
00:28:30.720 You can tell this person was flustered.
00:28:33.500 Oh, yikes.
00:28:34.400 Sorry if this may have offended or came across as so.
00:28:37.740 As what?
00:28:38.260 Huh?
00:28:38.860 As offensive or, I don't know.
00:28:40.900 Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
00:28:44.580 Then, at this point, what should happen is Mayor Wu should come out and fire this person.
00:28:50.780 And Mayor Wu should come out and say this holiday party, holiday party, is completely unacceptable.
00:28:54.860 And we're not going to exclude whites from government functions.
00:28:59.780 And we're not going to legally discriminate against white people any more than we already do,
00:29:03.860 which is to a pretty significant degree.
00:29:05.900 No.
00:29:06.320 What did Mayor Wu do?
00:29:07.460 She defended it.
00:29:10.600 She said, hey, now, white people get to go to plenty of parties.
00:29:13.300 This one, though, no whites allowed.
00:29:15.000 This government party, no whites are allowed.
00:29:19.340 Yeah, sorry.
00:29:20.180 You shouldn't have gotten the email.
00:29:21.620 Hope you weren't offended.
00:29:22.600 It's that classic, you know, you don't apologize for what you did that was wrong.
00:29:26.600 You apologize for someone else feeling offended.
00:29:29.820 I'm sorry if you felt offended.
00:29:31.820 No, the issue isn't the email.
00:29:34.260 The issue isn't the feeling of offense.
00:29:36.780 The issue is the party.
00:29:38.480 And it's the party, not because someone wants to go to another government or work function Christmas party.
00:29:45.400 A lot of people don't want to do that at all.
00:29:46.600 It's because the party is a symbol of anti-white hatred, which is the most widespread and powerful form of racism in the entire country.
00:29:56.700 That's the issue.
00:29:57.620 So much so that the Supreme Court finally had to address the issue and this year knocked down so-called affirmative action in one narrow case.
00:30:07.880 That would be in the case of Harvard discriminating against white and Asian students.
00:30:12.720 And the only reason it worked is because they could highlight the discrimination against Asians.
00:30:18.860 Had it only been a matter of discriminating against white people, the case would have gone nowhere.
00:30:23.120 It is perfectly politically acceptable.
00:30:25.300 It is politically encouraged to insult white people and to legally discriminate against them.
00:30:30.960 It's encouraged.
00:30:32.520 The leftist social engineers, the racial grievance mongers, they screwed up in affirmative action by also discriminating against Asians, which gave those of us who don't want caste systems of racial discrimination the opportunity to go in and say,
00:30:51.500 hold on, now listen, those nasty, terrible, evil white people, that's obviously totally fine to discriminate against them.
00:30:56.840 They're the devil.
00:30:57.460 They're the worst people that ever lived.
00:30:58.720 But what about the Asians?
00:31:00.000 And then finally, that was enough to get the Supreme Court to change it.
00:31:04.280 But it remains a major issue.
00:31:08.540 And so here you see a Democrat mayor of a city getting caught in a really just ugly form of racial discrimination and race hatred, clearly.
00:31:19.160 And what does she do?
00:31:20.680 She doubles down.
00:31:22.060 Doubles down.
00:31:22.780 Not going anywhere anytime soon, folks.
00:31:25.480 But it's not a good look.

00:32:52.740 Speaking of Democrats and Christmas, while I was gone, this is a little old, but I have to cover, I have to get to this story.
00:33:01.540 Just because I missed a few shows last week while I was traipsing through the subcontinent does not mean that we're going to miss this.
00:33:07.900 The White House released a really weird Christmas video.
00:33:10.120 It's been totally polarizing.
00:33:11.240 Here's the video.
00:33:41.240 So if you're just listening to this now, there's not all that much to describe.
00:33:54.780 You can hear the tap dancing going on.
00:33:56.620 A lot of extremely colorful outfits and personalities.
00:34:03.540 One might confuse the White House here for the Senate Judiciary Hearing Room.
00:34:07.620 And, you know, as one might expect from the Democrats who put such a focus on race and racial diversity, you know, it's, you know, totally out of central casting in that regard.
00:34:20.340 I kind of like the video.
00:34:23.860 I kind of like it.
00:34:24.720 Let me just say kind of here.
00:34:26.580 Because it's not a good video.
00:34:30.260 But the reason it's not good is not because of the concept of the video.
00:34:33.980 I really like the concept of it.
00:34:35.520 I like the focus on tap dancing.
00:34:36.900 Tap dancing is a really fun, wholesome art form.
00:34:39.700 Very traditional American art form.
00:34:42.820 The reason the video is not good is because it's not good tap dancing.
00:34:47.520 It's not, I don't mind.
00:34:50.560 The colorful costumes are a little weird.
00:34:52.220 They're a little on the flamboyant Democrat side.
00:34:54.200 But whatever.
00:34:54.660 I don't really care about that.
00:34:56.160 The extremely on-the-nose diversity casting is, I mean, I have no problem with people of all walks of life tap dancing.
00:35:04.060 It's on the nose.
00:35:05.660 The Democrats are always just so conspicuous about this sort of thing.
00:35:09.740 But again, that doesn't bother me in the least.
00:35:11.580 Some of my favorite tap dancers are black guys, you know, Gregory Hines or Sammy Davis Jr.
00:35:16.400 The reason it's bad tap dancing gets to an issue at the heart of leftist politics, which is that it's too self-indulgent.
00:35:30.480 Really good tap dancing is subtle.
00:35:34.100 It's understated.
00:35:35.640 It's elegant.
00:35:36.920 You think of people like Fred Astaire.
00:35:38.460 You think of people like Gene Kelly.
00:35:39.580 When they tap dance, or Gregory Hines or Sammy Davis Jr.
00:35:43.860 Or any of these other tap dancers that I've mentioned or not mentioned.
00:35:47.740 Their really beautiful tap dancing is when you can hardly see the moves.
00:35:51.660 And you just hear the click, click, click.
00:35:53.060 You know, and it's just elegant.
00:35:54.440 It's graceful.
00:35:55.280 Their feet are moving at, you know, a rapid pace while their body is just so elegant.
00:35:59.840 There's the sense of stillness and confidence and integrity.
00:36:02.840 That's missing in the White House video.
00:36:06.100 It looks like an elementary tap class where every movement is just so exaggerated and the biggest smiles.
00:36:12.600 It actually looks like the scene in Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly where it's a flashback to Gene Kelly's bad days doing the vaudeville circuit.
00:36:25.060 You know, fit as a fiddle, ready for love.
00:36:27.400 And it's where all of the mannerisms are exaggerated.
00:36:33.060 And it's a funny scene.
00:36:34.580 It's a delightful scene.
00:36:35.480 But it's funny in that what he's doing here is expressing a bad dance.
00:36:42.040 That's what's going on here.
00:36:44.000 And it's just true of all of our modern politics.
00:36:46.820 There's no sense anymore of understatement, of elegance, of humility, of subtlety.
00:36:57.200 That's gone.
00:36:58.400 Now, everything has to be so exaggerated.
00:37:01.020 Everyone has to be so prideful and over the top and constantly drawing attention to themselves in unattractive ways.
00:37:10.980 That's what I don't like about it.
00:37:13.360 But I do like the tap dancing.
00:37:16.080 Think about today how many more exclamation points you see in correspondence.
00:37:21.820 In the old days, in the days of Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Gregory Hines, Sammy Davis Jr.,
00:37:27.700 people rarely used exclamation points in their correspondence.
00:37:32.140 Because an exclamation point is like laughing at your own joke.
00:37:34.960 An exclamation point is like this White House tap dancing video.
00:37:39.240 It's so unnecessary.
00:37:42.640 It's so gratuitous.
00:37:43.380 Today, if you send a text message or even a professional email without 75 exclamation points,
00:37:50.520 people are going to think you're a sociopath.
00:37:52.340 They're going to think you're a stone-cold killer.
00:37:54.900 It gets to that underlying rot.
00:37:57.740 Then the final problem with the White House tap dancing video is I don't think they were actually recording the taps.
00:38:04.040 I think those taps were added in after the fact.
00:38:05.700 I'm not positive, but the taps don't really seem to line up with the foot movements.
00:38:10.040 Probably because the White House is just not wired for tap dancing.
00:38:12.420 It's not like a big tap stage.
00:38:13.840 In any case, a good idea.
00:38:16.500 I want to give the Biden White House.
00:38:18.140 Joel Biden was the one who posted this.
00:38:19.860 I want to give them credit for having a nice impulse, but you got to land the execution, too.
00:38:28.200 They did not.
00:38:28.920 Speaking of the Bidens, Hunter Biden is speaking out.
00:38:33.520 Hunter Biden has been asked to come and testify before Congress, before a closed-door session, not to make a big display of everything.
00:38:41.900 Hunter showed up to D.C.
00:38:42.820 He showed up to the Capitol, but he wouldn't go to the closed-door session.
00:38:45.760 He instead made a big spectacle of himself in a press conference outside the Capitol.
00:38:50.480 I'm proud of my legal career and business career.
00:38:54.760 I'm proud of my time serving on a dozen different boards of directors.
00:38:58.980 And I'm proud of my efforts to forge global business relationships.
00:39:02.680 For six years, MAGA Republicans, including members of the House committees who are in a closed-door session right now,
00:39:14.080 have impugned my character, invaded my privacy, attacked my wife, my children, my family, and my friends.
00:39:24.920 They have ridiculed my struggle with addiction.
00:39:29.060 They have belittled my recovery.
00:39:31.800 And they have tried to dehumanize me, all to embarrass and damage my father,
00:39:38.440 who has devoted his entire public life to service.
00:39:44.900 For six years, I have been the target of the unrelenting Trump attack machine, shouting,
00:39:52.680 Where's Hunter?
00:39:53.380 Well, here's my answer.
00:39:56.580 I am here.
00:39:58.280 I am here outside of the Capitol.
00:40:01.600 I am here.
00:40:02.120 I'm not where you asked me to be.
00:40:03.380 I'm not here where I would actually have to answer for my crimes or my influence peddling
00:40:07.400 or the fact that I was the bag man for my corrupt father.
00:40:09.740 I am here talking to the liberal media.
00:40:12.460 Here I am.
00:40:13.600 Attacked his wife and kids.
00:40:14.940 Who's attacked his wife and kids?
00:40:17.560 Have you heard a Republican attack Hunter Biden's wife and kids?
00:40:20.540 I know of one person who has attacked Hunter Biden's wife and kids.
00:40:23.680 That's Hunter Biden.
00:40:25.680 Which wife and kids are we talking about?
00:40:27.340 Are we talking about the wife that he left so that he could go cheat with his dead brother's widow?
00:40:34.240 Is that the wife we're talking about?
00:40:37.240 Which kid?
00:40:38.180 The kid that he callously refused to acknowledge for years?
00:40:42.040 That he sued in court not to acknowledge?
00:40:44.220 That his father callously, cruelly would not acknowledge as president of the United States?
00:40:49.040 Which kid?
00:40:51.100 The only person in public life who has attacked Hunter Biden's wife and kids is Hunter Biden himself.
00:40:58.160 And this man, this degenerate, has the audacity to accuse us, to accuse the Republicans of that?
00:41:04.480 Despicable.
00:41:06.740 I'm proud of my work on several boards of directors.
00:41:10.320 Yeah, boards of directors like the Ukraine oil company that was paying you as a graft to grease the wheels and enrich your father because you were selling American influence on his behalf.
00:41:23.960 You're proud of your work as an unregistered foreign agent peddling American influence for your corrupt dad?
00:41:30.900 I wouldn't be proud of that.
00:41:31.980 Public service.
00:41:33.440 You know, Joe Biden, that guy's made a lot of money for public service.
00:41:36.320 Usually public service costs you money.
00:41:37.980 When George Washington engaged in public service, it made him much less wealthy.
00:41:42.780 Thomas Jefferson died in debt because of all of the time he committed to public service.
00:41:47.060 Joe Biden's a millionaire with multiple houses and a Corvette and lots of nice stuff.
00:41:51.320 Kind of weird.
00:41:52.780 Boy, what a great sacrifice from Joe Biden.
00:41:55.520 Why is this happening?
00:41:56.760 The reason this is happening now is that Joe Biden might actually get impeached.
00:42:02.820 This Hunter Biden story has been around for years.
00:42:04.620 And Hunter Biden has accidentally admitted on camera to having conversations about his business with his father.
00:42:10.160 He's accidentally admitted in his laptop, which became public, to giving his father paybacks.
00:42:15.860 In fact, we've seen the checks.
00:42:17.400 We've seen the checks come in to Hunter and then from Hunter to Joe's personal account.
00:42:22.780 The reason this is happening now is because Biden might actually get impeached.
00:42:27.920 And that's not even the problem because Biden's 300 years old and he probably doesn't even want to be president again.
00:42:33.580 The reason that this is bad is if he gets impeached, if there's an actual impeachment trial, then the facts really are going to come out.
00:42:39.720 It's not just going to be in some closed door session of the Republicans in Congress.
00:42:43.620 It's going to be before the American people.
00:42:47.800 Now, speaking of children, there's a children.
00:42:51.880 Babies came up during that, I think, once, right?
00:42:54.020 It's not my best transition.

00:44:13.000 My favorite comment last week is from Alexander Mindiburu, who says,
00:44:18.400 Michael's impression of Fauci is slowly becoming Al Pacino with each performance.
00:44:23.360 Now, listen here.
00:44:24.960 Listen here, you.
00:44:27.520 She got a greater, and you got your head all the way up it.
00:44:31.160 Now, listen here.
00:44:32.260 It's not personal, Sonny.
00:44:34.040 It's just business.
00:44:35.920 When I make you take that vex, it's just business, Sonny.
00:44:38.920 Speaking of drug addiction, a very sad story came out regarding Matthew Perry, who died in his hot tub some weeks ago.
00:44:50.380 Well, the coroner's report is back.
00:44:53.120 L.A. County Medical Examiner says that he died of the acute effects of ketamine,
00:44:57.220 which led to cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression.
00:45:04.180 Now, what's strange here is we were told that Matthew Perry was clean and sober at the time of death.
00:45:09.080 So now people are going to conclude that that was a lie.
00:45:11.100 But it isn't exactly a lie in that I bet Matthew Perry would have said the same thing.
00:45:17.820 I bet a lot of people would say he was, in at least a certain clinical sense, clean and sober at the time of his death,
00:45:24.000 because ketamine is used to treat drug addiction.
00:45:28.400 It's used as a medical treatment.
00:45:31.540 Ketamine infusion therapy has been used to treat depression, anxiety.
00:45:37.720 It's not approved by the FDA for that use, but it is used to do that,
00:45:43.080 and it appears that that's what Matthew Perry was doing.
00:45:46.080 He had just recently had one of these ketamine infusion therapy treatments.
00:45:49.280 Those other contributing factors to his death included drowning, coronary artery disease,
00:45:55.040 and buprenorphine, which is an FDA-approved drug for opioid addiction, but it's a drug in itself.
00:46:02.700 And the reason that this story is so sad, and part of the reason that Matthew Perry fell into it,
00:46:10.480 is because of a misconception in our culture now that there are bad drugs that you're not supposed to do,
00:46:21.680 and then there are medicines, which are really, really good.
00:46:25.560 But the line between hard drugs, narcotics, and medicines is a little bit blurry.
00:46:33.380 Drugs are drugs.
00:46:36.240 They can have all sorts of bad effects on you, whether the FDA says they're good or not,
00:46:41.020 whether your doctor says they're good or not.
00:46:42.480 I'm not telling you never to take a drug.
00:46:44.480 People take drugs all the time.
00:46:46.300 If I have a little bit of a migraine, I might take an Advil.
00:46:48.820 But I'm not under the impression that there are no side effects from even a drug like Advil.
00:46:53.380 It's drugs.
00:46:54.180 You're putting a drug into your system, a chemical into your system,
00:46:57.060 and that's going to have some kind of effect.
00:47:00.260 Now, though, people will say, no, no, no, I was medically prescribed marijuana.
00:47:04.560 No, I was medically prescribed benzos.
00:47:06.380 No, I was medically prescribed opioids.
00:47:08.020 How many people develop opioid addictions because they were initially prescribed them by a doctor
00:47:13.440 in supposedly totally fine clinical circumstances?
00:47:16.200 Isn't that, that's how Rush Limbaugh became addicted to opioids.
00:47:19.580 It's not that Rush just went down to a street corner one day and said, I want to get high.
00:47:22.940 Rush was prescribed those drugs by a doctor, and he, like many, many people, then became addicted to them.
00:47:28.440 Drugs are drugs.
00:47:30.240 And if we have not learned the lesson over the last three years to be perhaps somewhat skeptical
00:47:35.800 of people in white lab coats, to recognize that sometimes they seem to get things a little bit wrong,
00:47:42.980 some of them seem to get things a lot wrong, then we haven't learned a thing.
00:47:46.200 Very, very sad.
00:47:47.740 Because people, you know, I think it's what, like one in eight women in this country,
00:47:51.120 or more, one in five women, regularly take depression drugs.
00:47:55.180 They're regularly on powerful psychiatric drugs.
00:48:00.080 And we just ignore that because we say, oh, it's prescribed by a doctor.
00:48:02.180 It's totally fine.
00:48:03.160 I don't know if it's great for a huge portion of your population to constantly be on powerful psychiatric drugs.
00:48:09.280 Now on the ever-present topic of transgenderism, we're told that if you give kids chemicals to stop their puberty and to castrate them
00:48:18.820 and to induce all sorts of crazy bodily consequences, osteoporosis, sterility, potential early death,
00:48:28.780 and we say, no, it's a medicine.
00:48:31.360 It's affirming treatment from medical practitioners.
00:48:35.880 No, it's drugs.
00:48:36.880 It's really powerful drugs.
00:48:38.280 Maybe we ought to be a little cautious about that because things can go south really quickly,
00:48:43.680 as sadly we've seen in this case.
00:48:45.800 Now, turning from death to life, a really great story.
00:48:49.460 A really, really great story to close on today.
00:48:51.680 From the Charlotte Lozier Center report, this is a survey that has shown that pro-life pregnancy centers
00:48:59.380 provided at least $358 million in goods and services to pregnant women last year.
00:49:05.280 That includes half a million free ultrasounds at least, 200,000 tests for venereal disease,
00:49:12.300 700,000 free pregnancy tests, 400,000 parenting education programs,
00:49:16.700 600,000 students who took sexual risk avoidance education,
00:49:21.780 4.3 million baby outfits, and by the way, not just for the babies and the mothers who chose to have their children,
00:49:29.040 even for the women who killed their children through abortion.
00:49:33.140 19,000 people received post-abortion support, at least.
00:49:37.280 Probably the number is much higher than that, from pro-life pregnancy centers.
00:49:42.460 And this is a really good thing because 32,000 more babies were born last year than the year before,
00:49:48.000 thanks to state abortion bans in the wake of the Dobbs decision.
00:49:52.000 I'll tell you, I kind of like this legislating morality.
00:49:54.940 Doesn't it work?
00:49:55.540 I kind of like the notion that culture is downstream of politics.
00:49:58.000 I kind of like the idea that the law is a teacher because it works.
00:50:01.000 It works and saves 32,000 babies' lives.
00:50:03.460 And then, the reason I bring up this story at all is because you always hear the Libs say
00:50:07.780 that conservatives only care about babies in the womb.
00:50:11.260 You hear that one?
00:50:11.940 They've been telling us that for decades.
00:50:13.540 Yeah, you conservatives, you care about babies in the womb.
00:50:15.300 You just don't care when they get out of the womb.
00:50:17.380 You mean old conservatives.
00:50:18.580 I don't know.
00:50:21.220 Is $358 million not enough?
00:50:23.980 That seems like a lot.
00:50:25.380 In just private donations?
00:50:28.760 That's great.
00:50:29.400 For all sorts of women, including women who've had abortions?
00:50:33.560 It's pretty good.
00:50:35.320 Great way.
00:50:35.820 Just a little, that's a nice little number.
00:50:37.060 Tuck that number in.
00:50:37.820 $358 million in private donations to women in need who are considering abortion, who even
00:50:47.840 had abortion, who chose to have their baby heroically, who need some help as mothers
00:50:54.200 afterward.
00:50:54.840 That's a lot of money.
00:50:56.160 And you ask those Libs, you say, oh yeah, did you ever give $358 million?
00:51:00.720 No?
00:51:01.380 Oh, you've given nothing to those women in need.
00:51:03.020 You've given nothing to those babies in need.
00:51:04.920 Our answer is to give at least $358 million to help them.
00:51:08.480 And we'll give more.
00:51:09.640 I'll happily give more.
00:51:11.400 Tell me the number.
00:51:12.360 I'm sure the pro-lifers would give that and then some.
00:51:16.660 Any number to save babies' lives.
00:51:20.120 And the Libs' answer is, no, we don't want to give a single red cent.
00:51:23.020 We just think you should kill your baby.
00:51:26.560 Which is it?
00:51:27.680 Which do you think is more conducive to a flourishing society?
00:51:30.500 The rest of the show continues now.
