Ep. 1426 - White Liberals Find New Slaves

Summary

A wealthy white woman has invited a black woman without many legal rights into her home to cook for her and take care of everything around the house for no money. Which kind of sounds like that kind of thing when wealthy white people give poor black people housing and food in exchange for domestic labor with few, if any, legal protections.

00:00:35.700 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.
00:00:37.680 Joe Biden's decision to open the U.S. border has led to a mass invasion of foreigners, well over 6 million in less than three years.
00:00:45.980 This has led to all sorts of problems, spikes in crime, strains on public services.
00:00:50.300 Things have gotten so bad that even liberal mayors like New York City's Eric Adams have said that the migration crisis could destroy whole cities.
00:00:59.680 But the liberal press wants you to know that it's not all bad.
00:01:05.520 Take this Boston woman, for example, who is so fond of illegal immigration that she's even invited some illegal aliens into her home.
00:01:14.100 It's been an emotional few weeks for Wildande Joseph and her husband.
00:01:19.040 First, sleeping on the floor at Logan Airport, then in Children's Hospital with their two-year-old daughter who got very sick.
00:01:25.980 It's very difficult this time.
00:01:30.600 She felt bad, as any mother would.
00:01:33.220 Now things are looking much brighter as they've been welcomed into Lisa Hillenbrand's Brookline apartment.
00:01:38.180 She says her daughter is very happy.
00:01:54.340 When she wakes up in the morning, she says, hi, Lisa, and everyone starts the day smiling.
00:01:59.340 It's a delight, and it's really fun having them.
00:02:02.280 What I realized is there's so much prejudice against refugees, mostly because people don't know them.
00:02:07.120 Lisa says she feels like she has her own personal chef, as Wildande loves cooking.
00:02:12.480 Now, hold on.
00:02:14.820 In case you didn't track that story, a wealthy white woman has invited a black woman without many legal rights into her home to cook for her and take care of everything around the house for no money.
00:02:28.140 Which kind of sounds like, you know, I was a history major in college, and I think there's a word for that kind of thing.
00:02:37.840 When wealthy white people give poor black people housing and food in exchange for domestic labor with few, if any, legal protections, I'm sure the word will come to me.
00:02:50.120 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:04:29.540 I don't want to move off the white liberal Boston lady who loves having a slave, and I don't want to, we got to hold on that for a second, because it sounds so nice.
00:04:39.580 Oh, yes, I've invited this woman onto my property.
00:04:42.960 She can stay here.
00:04:43.820 She can even have a kid here, and all she's got to do is like cook for me, maybe clean up a few things around the house.
00:04:51.500 You know, I'm not going to pay her anything, but it's really, wow, why haven't we thought of this before?
00:04:58.160 This works out great, and it's not just her.
00:05:01.460 It's not just the liberal Boston lady.
00:05:04.900 This is the explicit argument for mass migration that prominent liberals make.
00:05:10.640 The explicit argument that they make is that there are some jobs that are so unpleasant that Americans don't want to do them, and when Americans do them, they demand fair wages, which no one wants to pay.
00:05:25.060 So we have to import peasants from the third world to work for very low wages to do the jobs we don't want to do.
00:05:33.040 We've got to import a surf class, as U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, a prominent national democrat, laid out.
00:05:45.000 This country needs immigrants to survive.
00:05:48.740 Immigrants pick the food we eat, rebuild our communities after climate disasters, help construct our infrastructure, power our small business economy, clean our homes, and look after the most precious in our families, our children and our elders.
00:06:03.040 If we're not bringing these slaves here no more, who's going to clean my house?
00:06:07.760 Who's going to raise my children?
00:06:10.060 If we're not bringing these slaves from El Salvador and Nicaragua anymore, who's going to pick my cotton?
00:06:15.960 I say, I say, I say, I tell you, my name is Pramila Jayapal, I say, I say.
00:06:22.340 She doesn't know.
00:06:23.400 They don't know.
00:06:24.000 They don't realize.
00:06:25.420 They don't think about it very much, but that's exactly the argument that they're making.
00:06:31.240 That's certainly the argument that the Chamber of Commerce has made, that the more establishment side of the GOP has made.
00:06:39.560 You read it on the Wall Street Journal editorial pages.
00:06:42.640 We need mass migration so that we get a steady supply of cheap labor.
00:06:47.180 Now, you might say, well, Michael, they're not like slave slaves.
00:06:51.020 It's not like, I mean, I guess in the case of this Boston lady, the people actually are just living in her home and they get food and shelter and they work for it.
00:06:58.960 But when we're talking about mass migration, no, no, no, it's not exactly slavery.
00:07:03.600 Right, because the people who are importing these peasants from the third world are not even giving them housing and shelter and food.
00:07:10.860 You're right.
00:07:11.840 They're paying them very, very low wages and there's always the threat that they could be deported and it's usually outside of the legal system of commerce.
00:07:19.500 It's usually people getting paid under the table, not paying taxes on this kind of stuff.
00:07:23.920 Yeah, you're right.
00:07:25.160 In some ways, it's even worse.
00:07:28.040 Because they don't even have the minimal protections that they could have had otherwise in a formalized system of this kind of exploitative servitude.
00:07:35.180 Yeah, you're right.
00:07:36.520 Yeah, not great.
00:07:38.520 Not a really good argument, folks.
00:07:41.980 Now, speaking of bad arguments from Libs, California governor and would-be presidential candidate in 2024, Gavin Newsom, has just celebrated what he considers to be the most beautiful, greatest moment, greatest accomplishment of his political career.
00:08:04.480 I will give it to you from Gavin Newsom in his own words.
00:08:07.200 I think they're undisputed masterpieces, hip to be square, a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics.
00:08:15.200 But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of friends.
00:08:20.080 It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
00:08:23.820 Hey, Paul!
00:08:25.320 Ah!
00:08:28.400 So I think, actually, I believe that was Patrick Bateman from American Psycho.
00:08:34.820 I'm not sure.
00:08:35.520 I sometimes confuse the two.
00:08:37.620 But actually, sorry, the clip that I wanted to play was Gavin Newsom talking about redefining marriage.
00:08:46.120 Greatest memory, I kid you not, besides my own kids, was walking outside the front door here.
00:08:54.040 And there was a little girl.
00:08:55.360 It was rare I went out during the middle of all these weddings.
00:08:57.880 And this little girl's tugging at me, I look down, and she goes, and she looks at me, and she goes, thank you for giving me two mommies.
00:09:05.620 To be part of that journey, yeah, a journey for equality, but for affirmation, for an expansion of rights and liberties and freedom.
00:09:13.080 That's what it's all about.
00:09:15.500 The greatest memory that Gavin Newsom has is depriving a little girl of a father.
00:09:20.800 That is more psycho than anything Patrick Bateman ever said in that movie.
00:09:30.000 Maybe Gavin Newsom hasn't thought about this either.
00:09:32.440 Probably he hasn't.
00:09:33.460 He seems kind of glib as far as politicians go.
00:09:36.560 He's saying, this girl came to me and said, thank you for giving me two mommies.
00:09:39.580 Okay, two mommies obviously can't make a baby, and if it were the case that two mommies could make a baby, it wouldn't be that Gavin Newsom gave them to her, because it would be the natural course of events and how babies are made.
00:09:53.140 So two mommies can't do that, just like two daddies can't do that.
00:09:56.120 So what the little girl is saying is, thank you for redefining marriage and maybe going weak on divorce law and maybe just scrambling up the whole family such that I don't have a mommy and a daddy, I have two mommies.
00:10:10.480 But you can't have two mommies, you can't totally scramble up the family without taking something away.
00:10:16.560 And the thing that Gavin Newsom has taken away, the thing that the Democrats broadly have taken away, is the father or the mother.
00:10:23.780 But they've taken away one of the two parents, and that's really awful.
00:10:28.100 And I'm not surprised that a little kid would defend this sort of thing.
00:10:32.220 Little kids, the children of divorce, the children who are the victims of the broader sexual revolution, they will do anything to defend their parents.
00:10:39.580 They will do anything.
00:10:40.380 This is how adults who disregard children and abuse children and neglect children, this is how they get away with saying, oh, children are resilient.
00:10:48.580 Because kids will do whatever they can to defend the adults in their lives.
00:10:52.640 But this is really bad, because little boys and girls need their fathers.
00:10:57.700 And little boys and girls need their mothers, too.
00:11:00.520 Both men and women have something to contribute to raising children.
00:11:04.440 Both men and women have something to contribute, period, to the human race.
00:11:07.940 And they're not just totally interchangeable.
00:11:10.380 And when you normalize this kind of disordered sexual behavior, and when you formalize it by rewriting the fundamental political unit, which is the family, you necessarily take one of those two things away.
00:11:25.140 And what Gavin Newsom has taken away is a father from a little girl.
00:11:30.420 And even almost more scandalous than that.
00:11:34.880 Now the society impels the little girl to say, and I'm really happy about it.
00:11:39.620 Oh, I'm really happy my parents got divorced.
00:11:42.080 I'm really happy that I've got two mommies.
00:11:43.720 I'm really happy that our society no longer treats of sex and social relations in a normal, flourishing way.
00:11:52.700 No, no, I'm really happy about it.
00:11:54.340 I've read on the show before the private testimonies of people who say, you know, I wish I had a dad.
00:12:01.960 You know, actually, I don't want to make my dads feel bad, or I don't want to make my moms feel bad.
00:12:07.480 But I kind of wish I had this.
00:12:08.640 Hey, do you think fathers matter in the life of a little girl?
00:12:11.740 I think we all know that in that particular circumstance, fathers matter a lot.
00:12:17.260 And this freaking psycho, Gavin Newsom says, not improving the economy, not enforcing the law and protecting people from violent crime, which Gavin Newsom obviously hasn't done.
00:12:29.880 None of those things are his greatest accomplishment.
00:12:31.500 His greatest accomplishment is depriving a little girl of her father.
00:12:34.640 That guy's very dangerous.
00:12:35.620 And that guy really wants to be president.
00:12:38.040 And Joe Biden doesn't appear to be long for this world.
00:12:41.540 And that is a very scary situation for us.
00:12:44.680 There is much more to say, but first, text Knowles to 51555.
00:12:51.300 During this new year, it is important to slow down and think about how we can lift up and help others.
00:12:56.620 Because of economic decline, high unemployment, skyrocketing food prices, many families have little or no access to food for their children.
00:13:03.460 Many businesses and informal economies, such as day labor and local markets, have eliminated jobs or closed permanently, leaving many parents with no way to earn money.
00:13:12.560 Local ministry partners, feeding centers, hospitals, and schools are experiencing rising numbers of malnourished children.
00:13:18.780 Thankfully, there is a way we can help.
00:13:20.820 For over 40 years, Food for the Poor has served communities throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
00:13:25.480 Through a network of trusted ministry partners and local churches, Food for the Poor supplies non-perishable food items and protein-rich meals to children and families suffering from hunger.
00:13:34.920 With the help of their generous donors, they are able to provide food, housing, health care, education, fresh water, emergency relief, and much more.
00:13:42.240 So how can you help?
00:13:43.700 Thanks to a meal-for-meal match, a donation of $80 can feed two children for an entire year.
00:13:48.860 $160 would feed four children, and $320 would feed eight children.
00:13:54.200 Your generous gift today could change the course of a life.
00:13:57.120 Donate now by texting NOLS, K-N-A-W-L-E-S, to 51555, or by visiting foodforthepore.org slash NOLS, K-N-A-W-L-E-S.
00:14:06.380 That is NOLS.
00:14:07.620 Text it to 51555, or go to foodforthepore.org slash NOLS.
00:14:12.120 Speaking of deeply disordered sexual stuff, there is a major debate over the relation of church and state and the protection of the church and, by golly, our constitutional rights coming out of Florida.
00:14:26.820 According to the Tampa Bay Times, a man confessed to a terrible sexual sin in a church, and now he's trying to argue that his confession should not be used as evidence in a criminal trial.
00:14:42.720 According to the Tampa Bay Times, a man gripped a microphone as he stood before a stage inside a Florida church and told his pastor and parish leaders he was sorry for what he'd done to the pastor's 12-year-old granddaughter.
00:14:54.060 Juan Martin Gonzalez said that he'd sinned.
00:14:57.580 He apologized.
00:14:58.260 He vowed to face the situation.
00:15:00.400 People in the crowd demanded more.
00:15:01.720 God wouldn't forgive him, they said, unless he said exactly what he'd done wrong.
00:15:05.180 Gonzalez kept talking.
00:15:06.120 His words were captured on video.
00:15:07.740 The video was later shared with police.
00:15:09.940 So, some people, like this guy's defense attorneys, are arguing that this man is protected by the relationship between a penitent and his confessor.
00:15:19.260 That this was a religious confession, and therefore, it should be sacrosanct.
00:15:26.200 It should not be admitted as evidence.
00:15:28.060 And you know me.
00:15:28.700 I am a strong defender of the sacrament of confession, and I believe that the seal of the confessional is inviolable.
00:15:36.420 I'm a mackerel-snapping papist myself, but even those of you who are not Catholic out there, I'm sure you're very well acquainted with the confessional, because it's in every movie, every religious movie.
00:15:49.720 You know, that scene of the man on his knees in the confessional, and maybe something comes out, but the priest cannot violate that seal.
00:15:56.000 That's not what this is.
00:16:00.280 This man got up to a microphone in public, not with his confessor in private, in a booth.
00:16:05.660 In public, he got up.
00:16:07.100 He had a microphone.
00:16:08.240 There was a video camera recording this.
00:16:10.480 That is a public act.
00:16:13.360 Okay?
00:16:13.720 And our confusion, we're so confused these days over the relationship of the church to the state.
00:16:19.840 We're so confused these days over the relationship of public to private life.
00:16:24.160 We're so confused these days over what a sacrament is that we just don't know how to handle these very traditional things.
00:16:31.660 But when you speak into a video camera, when you speak into a microphone, when you speak before an auditorium of people, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy.
00:16:40.720 There was some political sex scandal that came out a few weeks ago of a man and a woman having a menage a trois, and then one of them claimed that they had a reasonable expectation of privacy, but one of them kind of filmed part of it or whatever.
00:16:57.160 You don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy in a menage a trois.
00:17:01.220 You do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in an auditorium of people.
00:17:04.280 You don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy when there are cameras and microphones all around you.
00:17:07.740 You do in the confessional when you're there at the meeting of the physical and the metaphysical, when you're there speaking to a priest who's acting in the person of Christ.
00:17:16.860 You're really confessing your sins to God and his visible representative on earth is there.
00:17:21.980 You don't have it in public life.
00:17:24.300 And as we're now under constant surveillance everywhere in their cameras and microphones, this is the sort of issue that is going to creep up more and more and more.
00:17:31.520 Now, speaking of criminal proceedings, some news broke last night while we were on Daily Wire backstage, which is that the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, is now the second cabinet official cabinet secretary in history to be impeached.
00:17:48.140 The House of Representatives did it.
00:17:50.360 I called this, you might remember, I hate to say I told you so, I called this a couple of weeks ago when the Republicans failed at first to impeach Mayorkas.
00:17:58.560 They failed because they have a razor-thin majority because they kicked out George Santos, who was a weirdo congressman, and they kicked him out to seem like they were the big principled people.
00:18:08.740 And all that really did was give away the game to the Democrats.
00:18:12.140 Razor-thin majority, Republican Steve Scalise was out for medical treatment that day, and so the vote was so tight that it would have ended up being a tie.
00:18:19.840 So then one of the Republicans who was pushing for impeachment flipped to be a no vote so that it wouldn't be a tie, so they'd live to fight another day so they could bring it up again.
00:18:26.920 I guess Congressman Scalise got back, they took the vote, and there goes Alejandro Mayorkas.
00:18:34.440 You are going to hear an argument from the Democrats and the liberals and the squishes that we should not impeach Mayorkas, that this is totally unconstitutional, this is breaking with legal precedent, this is wrong.
00:18:48.900 And you're going to hear it from the squishes because they're going to say, look, yes, the Democrats have impeached President Trump over silly sorts of things, but that was wrong, and we shouldn't be like the Democrats.
00:19:01.680 If we just do the same thing the Democrats do, we're no better than them.
00:19:05.900 All of this is wrong.
00:19:07.120 All of this is ahistorical.
00:19:08.460 I mentioned that Mayorkas is the second cabinet secretary in history to be impeached.
00:19:13.180 The first one was William Belknap in 1876, I believe it was.
00:19:18.020 He was the secretary of war, and he was impeached for not only failing to do his job, but also usurping more power than his job would have given him.
00:19:31.900 The reason this is important is that one can be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, things like treason and other high crimes and misdemeanors.
00:19:42.540 But there is not just a political basis for impeachment.
00:19:45.160 It's not just that you don't like the cut of the guy's jib, so you're going to throw him out of office.
00:19:47.880 There's a legal threshold that you need to meet as well.
00:19:51.420 The Democrats famously did not meet that in the impeachments of President Trump, where they never even really made an argument that he committed a high crime or misdemeanor.
00:19:59.860 They just didn't like him.
00:20:01.020 So first, they tried to impeach him for colluding with the Ukrainians, I guess, even though they'd previously gone after him for colluding with the Russians, allegedly.
00:20:11.360 And then the second time, they tried to impeach him because, I don't know, they didn't like what he tweeted on January 6th, the worst day in human history.
00:20:18.320 Totally ridiculous.
00:20:19.220 But in this case, in this case, there is precedent because the reason that Secretary of War William Belknap was impeached in 1876 was for behaving in a manner ingrossly incompatible with his proper functions and purpose of his office.
00:20:39.760 So in 1876, included among the charges was that he disregarded his duty as Secretary of War.
00:20:45.920 That is a kind of maladministration.
00:20:47.440 And then when the House Judiciary Committee outlined this in 1974, they explicitly said impeachment is proper when an official exceeds the powers of his office, behaves in a manner grossly incompatible with the proper functions and purpose of his office, and employs the purpose of his office for an improper purpose.
00:21:02.540 As the Heritage Foundation has pointed out, Alejandro Mayorkas has done all three of those things.
00:21:07.500 That's according to the proper definition and proper basis of impeachment from the House of Representatives in 1974, which means it was a Democrat House of Representatives at that time.
00:21:18.180 And it's in keeping with the precedent that we had for impeaching cabinet secretaries going back over a century and a half, okay?
00:21:25.960 I think, or just about a century and a half.
00:21:28.040 I think we're good.
00:21:29.680 The impeachment of Mayorkas is justified.
00:21:31.460 Historically, legally, I think you could say persuasively, and politically, because the Democrats do this to us.
00:21:40.820 They did it twice to the last president.
00:21:42.600 Surely we can do it here to Mayorkas.
00:21:44.400 But if Mayorkas is impeached, then this necessarily leads one to conclude that Biden should be impeached as well, because Mayorkas is enforcing the Biden policy, period.
00:21:56.500 So this is a nice little win for the House.
00:21:58.620 It's not going to go anywhere, because the Senate's not going to convict him, because we don't have enough Republican senators.
00:22:02.840 Decent enough win in the House.
00:22:05.040 Now they should go on and impeach Joe Biden.
00:22:08.080 There is much more to say, but first, go to hallow.com slash Knowles.
00:22:12.260 As many of you know, our good friends over at Hallow had a commercial in the big game this past weekend.
00:22:17.260 There is something special about taking a moment to remember what truly matters in life and preparing for this season of Lent.
00:22:23.460 Lent is the 40 days leading up to Easter, which starts today.
00:22:28.160 Lent is a time of intense prayer, fasting, and giving.
00:22:31.100 This year, Hallow's annual Pray 40 Challenge focuses on surrender and includes meditations on the powerful book, He Leadeth Me,
00:22:37.720 a story about a priest who became a prisoner and slave in the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
00:22:42.300 His story is one of ultimate surrender and how we are called to offer up our own worries, anxieties, problems, and lives to God.
00:22:48.480 There will also be Lent music, Lent-specific Bible stories, and other Lenten prayers,
00:22:53.400 such as the seven last words of Christ with Jim Caviezel.
00:22:57.380 So what are you waiting for?
00:22:58.660 Join Hallow's Prayer 40 Challenge today.
00:23:01.920 Download the Hallow app, hallow.com slash Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S,
00:23:04.780 for an exclusive three-month free trial of more than 6,000 prayers and meditations.
00:23:09.000 That is hallow.com slash Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S.
00:23:13.800 Folks, Mardi Gras was yesterday.
00:23:19.080 I hope you all got your beads.
00:23:20.460 Actually, I hope you didn't get your beads, but I hope you had a nice mouffaletta sandwich.
00:23:23.280 I hope you, you know, had a nice fun day.
00:23:26.000 Now it is Lent.
00:23:27.160 Ash Wednesday is upon us.
00:23:28.580 This is a period of abstention.
00:23:31.360 This is a period of fasting.
00:23:33.140 This is a period of penitence as we lead up to Easter.
00:23:38.140 This is something the church has observed for 2,000 years.
00:23:40.100 And if you want just a nice little touch to remind you of that in your home,
00:23:44.960 you can now get the Smells and Bells candle from the Michael Knowles collection in the Daily Wire shop.
00:23:54.080 That's right, baby.
00:23:54.820 We had the Crème de la Crème candle sold like wildfire.
00:23:58.420 We then had the Pumpkin Spice candle.
00:24:01.940 That one sold out immediately.
00:24:03.660 And then now we're elevating things.
00:24:05.320 If you want your home to smell like a lovely church, get the Smells and Bells candle.
00:24:08.480 I was debating naming it Potpourri.
00:24:11.080 I thought that'd be kind of funny.
00:24:12.040 But Smells and Bells is what we landed with.
00:24:13.920 It's got this lovely little stained glass design on here.
00:24:16.800 And it's a high-end candle.
00:24:17.840 It's got a nice little, like, wooden wick there.
00:24:20.920 And I don't know about you, but I love the smell of good incense in a church.
00:24:26.880 And when I go over to my friend George Farmer's house, and we're smoking cigars,
00:24:30.820 he'll get a thoroughbill going.
00:24:31.860 He'll get some nice church incense.
00:24:33.280 Well, anyway, you can make your own home smell like a lovely church today.
00:24:37.700 The Smells and Bells candle, dailywire.com slash shop.
00:24:40.440 Perfect for the Lenten season.
00:24:43.020 Get your candle today.
00:24:45.780 Now, speaking of Congress, frustrating news out of New York yesterday.
00:24:50.840 I mentioned that we kicked George Santos out of Congress for some reason.
00:24:55.160 And you're going to be shocked to hear it.
00:24:56.680 A Democrat won his seat in liberal New York.
00:25:00.560 Who could have predicted this?
00:25:02.640 Republicans had a razor-thin majority.
00:25:04.240 We kicked out a Republican congressman because he's a weirdo.
00:25:08.620 And he's legitimately a weirdo.
00:25:10.020 I mean, he did weird sex stuff.
00:25:12.180 And he pretended to be a different ethnicity.
00:25:15.420 And he engaged in all sorts of financial deception and fraud.
00:25:18.820 So he's a total weirdo.
00:25:20.080 My only hesitation at the time from kicking him out is
00:25:23.640 most of the Democrats have done all that stuff, too.
00:25:29.340 My only reason that I suggested perhaps we shouldn't kick this guy out is
00:25:33.400 you're talking about weird sex stuff.
00:25:35.020 That's the new threshold.
00:25:35.940 Okay, you're going to have to kick out half of the Democrats in Congress, at least.
00:25:39.920 Are you saying that now pretending to be a different ethnicity
00:25:42.800 is basis for being expelled?
00:25:45.160 Okay, well, how about we go to the upper chamber and talk to Senator Laya Watha
00:25:48.580 because she got her whole career on this kind of nonsense.
00:25:51.540 And despite her high cheekbones and her recipe for powwow chow,
00:25:54.160 it turns out that she's not actually an Injun.
00:25:56.440 So are we going to kick her out, too?
00:25:57.560 No, Democrats would never kick her out for that.
00:25:59.400 And then financial deception and fraud?
00:26:01.420 Are you kidding me?
00:26:02.080 We'd have to shut down Washington, D.C.
00:26:03.720 if that were the basis for expelling someone from the nation's capital.
00:26:07.200 So, yeah, I think that's all terrible.
00:26:09.120 I think that's really bad.
00:26:10.000 But what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
00:26:11.520 You're going to give up potentially a razor-thin Republican majority for what?
00:26:16.440 To stand on the principles that no one applies?
00:26:19.980 To just unilaterally disarm in a political battle?
00:26:22.540 What are we electing you people for?
00:26:24.620 I thought it was crazy at the time.
00:26:26.620 Also because you were almost guaranteed to get a Democrat to replace him.
00:26:30.120 The libs are going to now say,
00:26:31.700 this is a referendum on Trump, and this is it.
00:26:34.340 And the Republicans are going to lose in 2024 now.
00:26:36.320 I don't know, maybe we'll lose in 2024, but it's not because of this seat.
00:26:38.980 The guy who won was the guy who had the seat previously, Tom Swoetze.
00:26:44.800 Tom Swoetze, I don't know how to properly pronounce, the proper Italian ways,
00:26:48.380 Swoetze, but I don't know how this metagon pronounces it.
00:26:52.080 He had the seat from 2017 to 2023, and then George Santos briefly occupied it,
00:26:58.660 and then the guy took it back.
00:27:00.020 Okay, doesn't mean very much, I think, for the 2024 cycle,
00:27:07.420 other than that the GOP was extremely stupid to kick Santos out.
00:27:11.660 Because now you can't even impeach the worst DHS secretary in American history,
00:27:16.040 a guy who's opened up the border and encouraged millions and millions of foreigners to invade our country.
00:27:22.800 That's what it means.
00:27:24.000 Good job.
00:27:24.620 Great job, GOP.
00:27:25.920 With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats?
00:27:28.320 Now, speaking of the rhinos, speaking of Republicans screwing things up needlessly,
00:27:34.600 Senator Mitt Romney just took to the Senate floor to explain the most important vote
00:27:38.400 that Republican senators will ever take.
00:27:40.800 Is it on the border?
00:27:41.520 No.
00:27:42.300 Is it on the economy?
00:27:43.660 No.
00:27:44.040 Is it on defending marriage and life?
00:27:46.280 No, no, no.
00:27:48.700 It's on giving money to Ukraine, of course.
00:27:50.420 The vote we will soon take to provide military weapons for Ukraine is the most important vote
00:27:57.820 we will ever take as United States senators.
00:28:01.400 You couldn't make it up.
00:28:02.860 And he probably believes that.
00:28:04.200 In Senator Romney's defense, he probably believes that.
00:28:08.060 It's the most important vote ever.
00:28:09.680 Remember, the American vassal state in Ukraine, this proxy war with Russia that has no particularly
00:28:18.140 strategic end in sight other than to kill as many Russians as possible, and if the cost
00:28:22.280 of that is killing as many Ukrainians as possible, so be it, so that we can, what, expand NATO
00:28:27.920 for some reason?
00:28:28.800 And why are we expanding NATO?
00:28:29.880 Because, I don't know, because we want to, because we want to have an empire, but we
00:28:34.180 don't want to have an empire, but we want to impose our values, but we don't like our
00:28:37.680 real values, so we just basically want to spread pride flags to all the reaches of the
00:28:41.980 earth, and because, I don't know, just because that's just because it's kind of what we do.
00:28:45.660 So vote to give more money without any strategic end in sight, or if there is a strategic end,
00:28:54.340 it's one that you won't support.
00:28:56.220 Yeah, most important vote.
00:28:57.340 I believe it.
00:28:58.680 I believe that.
00:28:59.880 This is the definition, the definition of the court jester in the kingdom of liberalism.
00:29:07.260 This is court jester conservatism, the kind of person who goes up, and he pretends as
00:29:12.320 though he's in opposition to the liberal ruling class, and on some votes, he'll vote in opposition
00:29:18.380 to them, on the votes where it doesn't matter, on the votes where it's not going to count.
00:29:21.420 But then, when it really counts, when it really comes down to priority that the liberals care
00:29:25.060 about, his job is to fold, and that's what he's doing.
00:29:28.180 Even if it's not folding, even if he really believes this, his job is to show his true
00:29:32.580 colors then, and side with the liberals.
00:29:35.180 This is why it was always so silly when the liberals would defend Liz Cheney.
00:29:40.040 And they'd say, look, Liz Cheney, she's a Republican.
00:29:44.880 She's a conservative.
00:29:45.820 She votes with the conservatives 90 plus percent of the time.
00:29:50.740 You're going to tell me she's a liberal, Michael?
00:29:52.560 She's a conservative.
00:29:53.320 She votes with the conservatives when it doesn't matter.
00:29:59.720 She votes with the conservatives when she's the 52nd surplus vote.
00:30:04.140 She votes with the conservatives on issues where her vote's not going to matter because
00:30:07.480 the issue's not going to go anywhere.
00:30:09.280 But on the crucial issues, on the moments when we have to define the leader of the opposition
00:30:13.780 as a traitor to his country and as an insurrectionist, when Nancy Pelosi needs a couple fake Republicans
00:30:20.620 to sit on the January 6th committee, that's when you're going to see her true colors.
00:30:24.920 On the votes that count, that's when you're going to see the true colors.
00:30:29.280 That's when the court jester conservatives come out.
00:30:32.440 Now, speaking of GOP senators who are just saying very strange things these days,
00:30:39.600 Senator Kevin Kramer, against whom I have nothing.
00:30:43.280 I don't know.
00:30:43.900 I wasn't even really aware of this guy before.
00:30:46.840 He might be a perfectly fine guy, but he's saying something that's very strange.
00:30:50.440 He said, in response to Eric Schmidt, another Republican senator, he says,
00:30:58.440 Nearly every Republican senator under the age of 55 voted no on this America last bill.
00:31:04.280 15 out of 17 elected since 2018 voted no.
00:31:08.780 So he's saying, this Ukraine bill, it's separating the boomer cons from the younger conservatives.
00:31:14.560 And Senator Kramer, who would appear to be in the former category, he says,
00:31:18.420 Youthful naivete is bliss.
00:31:21.220 The wisdom of age may save the West.
00:31:24.160 Reagan may be dead, but his doctrine saved the world during less dangerous times.
00:31:28.020 If the modern Marx, Putin for the youngsters, restores the USSR while we pretend it's not our problem,
00:31:36.320 God help us, be free.
00:31:40.400 Boy, I, look, I tend to side with the geriatrics on a lot of political matters.
00:31:47.640 I'm not one of these who says, you know, kick out all the old people and we need age limits on running for office.
00:31:52.620 I think that's crazy.
00:31:53.380 I do think that generally with age comes wisdom, but not always.
00:31:56.340 First of all, if we're talking about the Reagan doctrine, it's true Reagan favored peace through strength, but he really did favor peace.
00:32:03.340 Let's not forget when there was a major attack on American troops in Lebanon, the Beirut barracks bombings, what happened?
00:32:10.200 Hundreds of American servicemen killed.
00:32:11.940 What did Reagan do?
00:32:13.020 Did he then go and, you know, send in the Marines and take over Lebanon, start a new war in the Middle East?
00:32:20.860 Did he punch back three times as hard?
00:32:22.720 No, he withdrew his troops from Lebanon.
00:32:24.920 That's probably the smart thing to do.
00:32:26.400 Ronald Reagan's foreign policy was involved a lot more restraint than the so-called Reaganites today would have you believe.
00:32:35.240 But the silliest phrase in this tweet is the notion that Vladimir Putin is the modern Marx.
00:32:42.140 What?
00:32:43.120 The modern Marx?
00:32:45.660 Marx wasn't even Russian.
00:32:46.860 Marx wasn't a political leader.
00:32:49.700 Marx was a dirty, filthy weirdo, probably demonically obsessed, if not possessed, political philosopher living off his friend's purse in Germany.
00:33:00.820 The modern Marx.
00:33:02.360 To even say Vladimir Putin is a Marxist, I want to be as fair as I can to this view.
00:33:07.040 There is, Vladimir Putin does exhibit some Marxist traits, and actually one of them came out during the Tucker interview.
00:33:13.420 At least in one degree, Putin probably shares Marxist-Leninist views.
00:33:19.380 Do you see God at work?
00:33:20.520 Do you ever think to yourself, these are forces that are not human?
00:33:23.940 No, to be honest, I don't think so.
00:33:35.640 My opinion is that the development of the world community is in accordance with the inherent laws,
00:33:41.500 and those laws are what they are.
00:33:43.920 It's always been this way in the history of mankind.
00:33:50.120 Some nations and countries rose, became stronger and more numerous,
00:33:55.280 and then left the international stage, losing the status they had accustomed to.
00:33:59.800 There is probably no need for me to give examples, but we could start with the Genghis Khan and Horde-conquerors,
00:34:08.900 the Golden Horde, and then end with the Roman Empire.
00:34:13.440 It seems that there has never been anything like the Roman Empire in the history of mankind.
00:34:18.120 Nevertheless, the potential of the barbarians gradually grew, as did their population.
00:34:26.220 Okay, the reason I say this is evidence of Putin's little bit of Marxism is,
00:34:31.760 he says, I reject the notion that God is sovereign.
00:34:35.000 I reject seeing the hand of providence in the history of the world.
00:34:39.660 He's accepting Marx's history, historical materialism.
00:34:42.900 And he's saying, no, that is not really what happens.
00:34:47.740 This is the people that rise and they fall.
00:34:49.720 But even that, he's not talking about class struggle exactly.
00:34:53.840 And then he gets to the point on Rome, and he says,
00:34:56.000 the Roman Empire, there's nothing like this ever in the history of the world,
00:34:59.100 which is very true, and there's a very deeply Christian view about this.
00:35:02.440 Dante writes about it a lot.
00:35:04.480 The church fathers write about this, that in the fullness of time,
00:35:09.120 you have the incarnation during a period of peace on earth,
00:35:15.340 this empire that conquered basically the whole world.
00:35:19.120 Nothing like it has ever existed since.
00:35:21.020 That's when our Lord is incarnate, and that's kind of interesting.
00:35:23.860 Jeremy has made these sort of historical comparisons,
00:35:27.200 that at the time that you have the man called the Filius Dei on the throne in Rome,
00:35:32.440 the son of the divine,
00:35:33.500 you have the Filius Dei, the son of God, born within the Roman Empire,
00:35:37.980 in this far-flung part of the Roman Empire.
00:35:40.320 At the time that you have Caesar Augustus heralded by a star, Julius Caesar,
00:35:46.500 you have our Lord, his birth heralded by a star in the east.
00:35:51.860 You have the Pax Romana, the peace of the Roman world.
00:35:57.220 You have the peace of the world, the prince of peace,
00:36:00.420 coming down in Bethlehem.
00:36:03.740 These historical coincidences, and there are many more of them too,
00:36:06.840 Putin even seems to hint at that.
00:36:08.420 He's not just a Marxist, okay?
00:36:10.220 Maybe he's a czarist.
00:36:11.920 Maybe he's just an authoritarian kind of right-wing leader.
00:36:15.980 But it's just so cheap.
00:36:18.680 It's just so cheap to say,
00:36:20.200 he's a Marxist.
00:36:22.300 He's the, this is the 1980s.
00:36:24.500 It's not the 1980s, man.
00:36:25.780 I like Ronald Reagan as much as the next guy.
00:36:27.560 I'm a really pro-Reagan fella.
00:36:29.840 Just like I really like William F. Buckley Jr.
00:36:31.740 I wrote the foreword to William F. Buckley Jr.'s most famous book,
00:36:34.440 God and Man at Yale.
00:36:35.300 But man, they're dead, okay?
00:36:37.400 They lived.
00:36:38.700 They fought their battles.
00:36:40.360 They did the best they could in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
00:36:44.480 You know, the 80s were 40 years ago, okay?
00:36:49.960 These guys have been dead for a long time.
00:36:53.400 Let them die, okay?
00:36:54.680 Let them rest.
00:36:56.120 And how about you face the political realities of your world,
00:36:58.660 which are very different than they were back then.
00:37:00.960 This is where age will not bring you wisdom.
00:37:03.040 It will bring you blindness,
00:37:03.980 because you think that history stopped in 1987.
00:37:07.080 It did not.
00:37:08.580 Now, speaking of Putin,
00:37:10.760 we turn back to those ladies on The View.
00:37:14.100 Alyssa Griffin, one of the fake conservatives on The View,
00:37:16.800 has just started the latest line of attack against Donald Trump,
00:37:22.540 which is that Donald Trump wants World War III with Vladimir Putin.
00:37:29.620 We're kind of missing something more significant
00:37:32.000 for the stakes of this country that also came out of that speech.
00:37:34.820 Donald Trump, or the clip that we saw,
00:37:37.000 Donald Trump said that if he were president again,
00:37:39.920 he would greenlight Russia invading NATO.
00:37:42.180 He literally is saying that he would want World War III to happen,
00:37:45.100 and I would remind him that this is not new with him.
00:37:48.520 He's literally saying that he's literally.
00:37:50.160 Did you know literally he was saying he literally wants World War III?
00:37:52.840 Christiane Amanpour literally said literally the same thing on CNN.
00:37:57.020 Honestly, Sarah, people are aghast.
00:37:59.700 I mean, they view that kind of invitation,
00:38:03.380 encouragement from the frontrunner of the United States
00:38:07.380 for the Republican nomination to be, you know, literally insane.
00:38:12.140 Literally. It's literally.
00:38:13.280 You know what I'm literally doing right now?
00:38:15.920 I am literally calling for a complete and total shutdown
00:38:20.860 on casual use of the world literally
00:38:23.960 until we figure out what the hell is going on.
00:38:26.520 No person who uses the word literally regularly
00:38:32.400 is to be taken seriously ever.
00:38:35.040 Least of all, Christiane Amanpour, who Drew calls Christiane Amanpour journalist,
00:38:41.400 and Alyssa Griffin, the, you know, the fake token conservative at The View
00:38:45.900 who worked for Trump.
00:38:47.360 This is such a dumb line of attack.
00:38:49.720 Democrats can keep it up.
00:38:50.760 I don't care.
00:38:51.240 I hope the Democrats keep using this line of attack.
00:38:53.620 This is such a dumb one because Trump was already president.
00:38:59.180 We know what the world was like when Trump was president.
00:39:01.360 It was extremely peaceful.
00:39:03.120 It's more peaceful.
00:39:03.980 It was more peaceful than it has ever been in my lifetime,
00:39:06.940 probably even including the presidency of Bill Clinton,
00:39:09.220 which occurred right after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
00:39:12.000 But even Clinton, he was bombing Iraq.
00:39:14.360 He was engaging in some military activities.
00:39:17.000 Trump was winding down wars in Iraq, winding down wars in Syria.
00:39:21.220 He was a very, very peaceful president.
00:39:23.980 He dealt with Putin.
00:39:24.720 The only time in the last 20 years that Putin hasn't invaded or further invaded a country
00:39:29.340 was under Donald Trump's presidency.
00:39:32.480 So, so dumb.
00:39:34.980 Literally.
00:39:35.580 Those sweltering summer nights that leave you tossing and turning,
00:39:37.980 desperately kicking off the covers, don't have to ruin your sleep.

00:40:06.280 Now, folks, I got good news and I got bad news.
00:40:09.380 Which do you want first?
00:40:11.320 I'll give you the bad news first.
00:40:12.840 Most of the products in your bathroom have gone woke at this point.
00:40:16.380 The good news is Jeremy's wants to help you wash off the woke with 15% off all of your essentials along with Jeremy's skincare products.
00:40:23.640 The facial cleanser and moisturizer are made with natural ingredients like aloe vera, bamboo charcoal, and hyaluronic acid.
00:40:29.360 And Jeremy's leaves out toxic chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.
00:40:34.580 I think that's how you pronounce that.
00:40:35.720 Because how can you wash off toxic values if you're using toxic chemicals?
00:40:39.680 Head on over to jeremysrazors.com.
00:40:42.620 Get your Jeremy's skincare for 15% off today along with all of your other essentials.
00:40:47.520 Speaking of essentials to get today, you know, we were smoking Mayflower cigars last night, obviously, on Daily Wire.
00:40:53.440 And I know some of you ladies out there, you want to get the man in your life a nice, beautiful Valentine's present.
00:41:01.920 Well, a little IOU with the pre-order slip of a delicious Mayflower cigar.
00:41:09.500 Maybe that's just the trick.
00:41:10.660 I don't know.
00:41:11.380 My favorite comment yesterday is from Kami GR6297, who says,
00:41:15.780 Reminds me of the congressman who didn't drink water for eight hours, and they had him hooked up to all kinds of medical equipment.
00:41:21.700 That's right.
00:41:22.020 I assume you're referring to those decadent little fatties at Harvard who were protesting for Palestine liberation.
00:41:28.920 And 30 of them decided to skip lunch.
00:41:32.500 And so they didn't eat for 12 hours, which for many people is called, you know, Tuesday.
00:41:39.180 And then they enjoyed a sumptuous feast.
00:41:43.000 Yes, there was that congressman.
00:41:44.440 He went something like eight hours without water, which I'm not bragging.
00:41:48.640 I regularly do that.
00:41:50.700 Like probably multiple days a week I do that.
00:41:53.880 But he was doing it for some dumb cause, and they had him hooked up to like an IV and all sorts of medical devices.
00:42:00.020 And it was very, I agree, it was very, very silly.
00:42:03.440 Speaking of The View, The View is very angry.
00:42:07.540 They've turned on one of the court jester conservatives, Chris Christie, because Chris Christie, just he, even though Christie hates Trump, even though Christie is a big rhino,
00:42:18.460 Christie pointed out that Joe Biden, he's not the most attractive candidate.
00:42:22.680 I like President Biden personally, always have.
00:42:26.920 But, you know, past the sell-by date.
00:42:30.560 You know what?
00:42:32.240 Oh, my goodness gracious.
00:42:34.940 Yeah.
00:42:36.660 First of all, what are you talking about?
00:42:40.920 He did, he kicked butt a couple of days ago.
00:42:44.660 South Carolina.
00:42:45.160 He did better than you know who did.
00:42:48.220 Yeah.
00:42:48.420 Okay?
00:42:49.760 So it's not, you know, nobody knows what's coming.
00:42:55.100 But, you know, you can't tell Democrats to get.
00:43:02.440 Okay.
00:43:03.840 First of all, I know what you're going to say.
00:43:04.980 You say, Michael, who cares what The View says?
00:43:07.060 I know you don't care what The View says.
00:43:08.340 I don't care what The View says.
00:43:09.220 The only time I see The View is when it's clipped out on conservative sites.
00:43:12.360 That's the only time you see The View is when I post it on my show or on my social media pages.
00:43:17.520 The View remains one of the most popular daytime TV shows.
00:43:20.680 There are a lot of people out there.
00:43:22.040 I know, it's a horrifying thought.
00:43:23.620 But there are a lot of people out there who watch The View.
00:43:25.420 And what they're getting from this commentary from The View is the establishment liberal line to a T.
00:43:34.980 This is really great commentary from The View here because it shows you perfectly the line between leftists and establishment liberals.
00:43:45.240 This is the line.
00:43:46.760 The people who are still defending Joe Biden's supposed vigor and virility, they are completely dishonest, cynical establishment hacks.
00:43:59.280 They either don't have an original view or they don't care about the truth whatsoever.
00:44:05.440 They are willing to lie to you or they're totally indifferent to the truth.
00:44:08.620 Or their brains have just so stopped functioning because the NPC chip was installed in the back of their brainstem that they cannot possibly think for themselves.
00:44:21.740 That is the only explanation.
00:44:23.800 There are many, many serious leftists, serious liberals.
00:44:29.440 I know that seems like a contradiction in terms.
00:44:31.500 But there are some people who at least are trying to use their rational faculties and they sadly arrive at left-wing and liberal conclusions.
00:44:36.980 That is not this.
00:44:38.200 This is just pure state media propaganda.
00:44:41.780 This is like those people on North Korean TV who talk about how the great leader yet again has achieved miracles on earth.
00:44:49.480 This is Pravda.
00:44:51.700 This is so pathetic.
00:44:53.900 I'm sorry for our country that we can now never criticize the official party paper of the Soviet Union because we have our own version of it.
00:45:03.280 And it's these people who are propping up the corpse of Joe Biden and saying, what are you talking about?
00:45:08.960 Oh, he's so virile, great sun leader.
00:45:12.100 He just ran a decathlon yesterday.
00:45:14.840 Joe Biden, you saw him kick butt.
00:45:17.220 It's just so sad.
00:45:18.260 I thought that maybe Whoopi Goldberg had an independent view.
00:45:22.480 She doesn't.
00:45:23.100 And any of your friends and any of your relatives and any of your coworkers who are defending Biden's vigor and virility at this point, you can't even have a conversation with them.
00:45:32.860 But that demonstrates such little regard for the truth.
00:45:37.120 It's not even worth talking about it.
00:45:39.520 Now, speaking of women's issues, sort of thing they talk about on The View, right?
00:45:45.220 Washington Post is very upset.
00:45:47.240 I want to get to this story.
00:45:48.420 Trans women should be arrested over bathroom use, North Carolina gubernatorial candidate says.
00:45:58.920 Oh, boy, this guy's in hot water.
00:46:01.440 This guy is North Carolina's lieutenant governor.
00:46:04.420 He's a leading candidate in this year's gubernatorial election.
00:46:08.060 Mark Robinson, can you, he said trans women should be arrested over bathroom use?
00:46:15.860 Actually, he didn't.
00:46:18.420 He didn't say that they should be arrested if they use the bathroom.
00:46:21.720 He said they should be arrested if they use the wrong bathroom.
00:46:24.620 Because trans women is not a real category of people.
00:46:27.840 It's just men who, because of either intellectual defects or perversions of their will, think or want to be women.
00:46:36.180 They go into the girls' room, and they shouldn't do that.
00:46:40.040 That's already illegal in most places, and it certainly should be illegal everywhere.
00:46:44.420 Total common sense.
00:46:46.040 But the libs are going, and this is, we're talking about an establishment paper.
00:46:50.240 We're talking about the Washington Post here.
00:46:51.760 They want you to think that this view is beyond the pale.
00:46:56.880 Don't let them do that.
00:46:58.780 Of course dudes should be arrested for using the girls' bathroom.
00:47:03.840 Of course, this man, this North Carolina gubernatorial candidate, who they're trying to paint as some kind of neo-Nazi or something like that, holds the view that every single person virtually in both political parties held until roughly 2015.
00:47:19.960 For all of human history, until roughly eight, nine years ago, every single person held this view.
00:47:28.940 That's obviously the correct view.
00:47:30.260 And we're now coming up on the one-year anniversary of my CPAC speech where the liberal press also maligned me and libeled me and tried to marginalize a completely normal mainstream view.
00:47:45.140 We just shouldn't let them do it.
00:47:46.840 I want to see every Republican politician coming out and defending what this North Carolina gubernatorial candidate said.
00:47:52.500 I don't know anything about Mark Robinson.
00:47:54.360 I don't know if he's a good candidate or not.
00:47:55.520 Maybe I have no reason to think he's a bad candidate, but you can't let them get away with this.
00:47:59.820 Every prominent Republican, the more mainstream, the squishier, the better, frankly, who comes out and just says, yeah, man, husky, deeply mentally ill or sexually perverted or both kinds of dudes certainly should not be in the bathroom with my wife or my daughter.
00:48:17.640 In fact, they're the very last people on earth who should be in those bathrooms.
00:48:20.920 Of course, you sick perverts at the Washington Post, you, uh-uh, ain't going to mainstream this, guys, ain't going to mainstream this at all.
00:48:31.980 Where do I donate?
00:48:33.100 Where do I donate to Mark Robinson?
00:48:35.180 What did he say?
00:48:36.060 The offending line was, we're going to defend women in this state.
00:48:40.240 That means if you're a man on Friday night and all of a sudden, Saturday, you feel like a woman, you want to go into the women's bathroom in the hall, you will be arrested or whatever we got to do.
00:48:48.280 Yeah, right.
00:48:49.540 We're going to fine you.
00:48:50.700 We're going to imprison you.
00:48:51.940 I don't, whatever it is.
00:48:52.880 Yeah.
00:48:53.780 You don't get to do that.
00:48:54.840 Super duper creepy.
00:48:55.840 And we're not going to force women to do things that are, not only that could lead to, obviously, very bad consequences like assault, like rape, like things that have happened, not even just to grown women, to little kids in schools that have happened because of transgender ideology, but just because it's intrinsically wrong.
00:49:13.700 It's just intrinsically disordered and wrong, and it's against the law in most places.
00:49:17.800 It should be against the law everywhere, and that guy's going to defend it, common sense, and we should defend common sense, too.
00:49:24.160 It is Woke Wednesday, baby.
00:49:25.420 The rest of the show continues now.
