The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1530 - The Trump Assassination Attempt EXPLAINED

00:00:00.000 Everyone knows the news. A shooter opened fire at a Trump rally on Saturday,

00:00:04.580 killing one Trump supporter, critically injuring two others, and blowing off part of President

00:00:09.200 Trump's ear, coming within millimeters of killing the former president and current 0.87

00:00:14.180 presidential frontrunner on national television. It is the most historically significant event 0.68

00:00:19.460 to take place in America since September 11, 2001. We'll get into the details that have emerged

00:00:25.780 about the shooter, the security failures, the statements from the politicians, and from the

00:00:30.460 Republican National Convention, which starts today in Milwaukee. But first, I want to focus on those

00:00:36.480 millimeters, the hair's breadth that kept President Trump from being assassinated.

00:00:42.640 If you're watching this rather than merely listening,

00:00:46.200 watch Trump's head at the moment the first shot rings out.

00:00:50.680 Take a look at what happened.

00:00:55.780 Take a look at what happened. Eerie words from President Trump. When we take a look at what

00:01:01.480 happened, at that moment, we see that just before the first shot rang out, Trump turned his head

00:01:08.560 to the right about 15 or 20 degrees, barely noticeable in real time. A little twitch in

00:01:15.380 his oration, a barely perceptible turn that saved his life. The shooter firing from 150 yards away

00:01:22.500 was an excellent shot. Trump keeps his head where it was when the shooter took aim. When the shooter

00:01:28.160 started pulling that trigger, the bullet enters the back of his skull and Trump dies on stage.

00:01:33.460 Trump turns his head just then, just before the shot rings out, just slightly, the bullet goes through 0.92

00:01:42.260 his ear. How do you explain that? Few people seem to have noticed that directly behind Trump,

00:01:51.180 only one action other than ducking took place. Two people made the sign of the cross.

00:01:57.720 One man crossed himself after Trump went down. Then a woman crossed herself after Trump got back up.

00:02:04.980 Two signs of the cross. One, when you don't know if Trump is okay. One, when he gets back up.

00:02:26.920 Few commentators have observed that the rally began with a benediction by a Catholic priest,

00:02:31.820 Father Jason Charon. It's time of crisis in our nation and in our world, that your Holy Spirit

00:02:38.640 will use this crisis to remind us of the need to get right with you, to red our relationships with

00:02:45.860 each other, that we will repent of anything that's holding us back, that our relationships being made

00:02:52.040 right in your sight, we might make our nation great again through your grace and your goodness and

00:02:59.420 making our country great again. Our world may be set right through Christ our Lord. Amen.

00:03:09.880 After the initial shock wore off, I was reminded of some wisdom from a World War II veteran named

00:03:15.360 Richard Overton, who at the age of 109, made this observation about going into battle.

00:03:22.020 Christians believe that God's providence governs history. We don't always act like it. We worry,

00:03:46.880 we're anxious, we doubt. But our faith tells us that the entire cosmos is finely tuned to account

00:03:55.320 even for our sins, our shortcomings, the abuse of our free will, to give glory to God who has the

00:04:01.560 final say. Even the very hairs of our head are all numbered. Much of the assassination attempt was to

00:04:09.200 be expected. Trump's opponents throughout the media and political class, all the way up to Joe Biden,

00:04:14.560 have spent years comparing Trump to Hitler and claiming that he poses an existential threat to

00:04:19.840 our country. All language commonly understood to justify assassination. It was only a matter of

00:04:25.820 time. What was not expected was the precise moment of the attempt. And what seems impossible,

00:04:32.840 miraculous, was that the attack would occur at the precise moment of that precise movement of Trump's

00:04:41.440 head. It is a moment for profound reflection, not only on politics, but on the ultimate meaning of

00:04:48.320 politics. It is above all a reminder not to fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul,

00:04:55.420 but rather to fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a

00:05:02.160 farthing? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your father's will. I'm Michael Knowles.

00:05:08.440 This is The Michael Knowles Show. Welcome back to the show. New footage is emerging.

00:05:31.620 It seems with each new video clip, each new bit of testimony, more questions emerge. We now have

00:05:38.380 video of the shooters spotted by a number of people on the roof, climbing up the roof minutes before the

00:05:44.000 firing with a gun. Clearly, people reporting this, asking why is Trump still on stage? There's a lot

00:05:51.920 more to say. First, though, go to zapmydebt.com. Does your debt keep you tossing and turning at night?

00:06:55.340 I went live on Saturday night when this happened. So I was on air for three hours covering in real

00:07:01.400 time. It took an hour and a half or so, maybe two hours for President Biden to release a statement,

00:07:07.100 some six sentence nothing, almost certainly written by staff. And then Biden walked out,

00:07:14.240 gave brief remarks saying basically nothing. And then he said basically nothing again

00:07:19.220 last night from the Oval Office.

00:07:22.020 I want to speak to you tonight about the need for us to lower the temperature in our politics

00:07:26.440 and to remember, or we may disagree, we are not enemies. We're neighbors. We're friends,

00:07:34.040 co-workers, citizens, and most importantly, we're our fellow Americans. We must stand together.

00:07:39.620 Yesterday's shooting at Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania calls on all of us to take a step

00:07:46.000 back, take stock of where we are, how we go forward from here. Thankfully, former Trump is not

00:07:54.640 seriously injured. I spoke to him last night. I'm grateful he's doing well. And Jill and I keep him

00:08:00.180 and his family in our prayers. We need to lower the temperature in our politics, you see, because

00:08:05.180 we're really friends. And that's why we need to unite. And how it is that during the Biden

00:08:09.420 administration, the temperature seems to have risen so high. People have come to view our fellow

00:08:15.220 Americans as enemies. There could be an assassination attempt on a former president and current presidential

00:08:20.700 front runner. How could that be? Who raised the temperature of our politics, Joe Biden?

00:08:27.660 Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations

00:08:34.300 of our republic. What, in your view, constitutes the primary threat to freedom and democracy at home?

00:08:41.040 Donald Trump. Seriously. Donald Trump uses phrases like you're going to eviscerate the Constitution.

00:08:49.600 He's going to be a dictator on day one. President Biden made the case Donald Trump is an existential

00:08:54.740 threat to our democracy. This is the first national election since January 6th. Insurrection placed a

00:09:01.640 dagger at the throat of American democracy since that moment. We all know who Donald Trump is.

00:09:07.380 And there's something dangerous happening in America now. There's an extremist movement that

00:09:12.300 does not share the basic beliefs in our democracy, the MAGA movement. He talks about the blood of

00:09:18.160 America as being poisoned, echoing the same exact language used in Nazi Germany.

00:09:25.920 The Biden campaign released a statement saying, quote, Donald Trump channeled his role models as he

00:09:31.500 parroted Adolf Hitler, praised Kim Jong Un and quoted Vladimir Putin while running for president on a

00:09:37.340 promise to rule as a dictator and threaten American democracy. Adolf Hitler is Trump's role model.

00:09:45.240 Trump uses words from Nazi Germany. Trump poses an existential threat to democracy. The gravest threat

00:09:52.080 that America faces in the entire world right now is Donald Trump. Boy, how'd the temperature get so

00:09:59.540 high? Thank goodness we have a responsible elder statesman like Joe Biden to tell us to lower the

00:10:04.180 temperature. No one, not one person in America has done more to raise the temperature of our politics

00:10:09.200 and to impel people to try to assassinate Donald Trump than Joe Biden. Not one person is more

00:10:15.320 responsible for the inflammatory rhetoric that would impel people to do this. Kamala Harris came out. 1.00

00:10:21.300 She made a statement, a very disgusting statement on Saturday night with all the perfunctory words. 1.00

00:10:28.160 Oh, yes, we're sorry. Thank goodness he wasn't that hurt. They blew off part of his ear. Oh,

00:10:32.180 thank goodness he wasn't that hurt. 15 degrees, his brains would have been on the stage. Oh,

00:10:36.860 but you know, okay, that's good. We're moving on. What a senseless act of violence. That's what she

00:10:43.020 said. That was the word that really set me off and set a lot of people off, I think, because it wasn't

00:10:48.740 senseless. It was based on false premises, but it wasn't senseless. It was based on, it was very

00:10:55.860 sensible. It was very logical to try to assassinate Donald Trump. If you believe what Joe Biden and 0.96

00:11:01.160 Kamala Harris have been telling you for years, and not just the two of them, basically the entire

00:11:05.860 Democrat establishment and the media establishment, but up to and including Kamala Harris and up to and

00:11:10.540 including Joe Biden. If you really believe that Donald Trump represents an existential threat to

00:11:16.160 our democracy, the gravest threat in the world to our republic, and that he's the second coming of 0.96

00:11:22.120 Adolf Hitler, then it makes absolute perfect sense to assassinate him. Or what? Or what? Or is Joe

00:11:28.600 Biden saying, no, if I had the chance to stop Hitler, I wouldn't have. No, we can just, we can destroy our 0.98

00:11:33.360 democracy, destroy our whole country. It's fine. It's no big deal. That doesn't justify taking any sort of

00:11:38.660 extraordinary measure up to and including assassination. No, that's not what they're

00:11:41.560 saying. A Hitler comparison or the invocation of an existential threat to the country 0.56

00:11:48.980 justifies in the popular perception and is intended to justify ending the existence of the threat.

00:12:01.120 So senseless. How did our temperature get so high? It's not just the politicians, the media.

00:12:06.640 The media are just as culpable. I suppose in some ways they have less direct power, but they've got

00:12:13.380 broader power. They've got broader reach, and they've been doing this for years. So the first

00:12:17.480 response of the media when this attack occurred was to downplay it. L.A. Times. This is the Sunday

00:12:25.920 Times. So this isn't just the first headline that showed up on the website. This is hours after this

00:12:32.540 happened, Sunday Times. Trump is rushed offstage in rally shooting. Trump is rushed offstage. I don't

00:12:40.220 see the word assassination anywhere here. You know what I do see? Right here, actually higher up on the

00:12:46.340 page than the assassination attempt. I see Project 2025 GOP platform set to take on possible Biden

00:12:53.760 standards. Project 2025, a Heritage Foundation project, which is very good, but which Trump doesn't

00:12:58.200 really have anything to do with and which he's disavowed. Project 2025, that gets the high

00:13:02.400 placement, that gets the specific mention. The assassination attempt, no, he's just rushed

00:13:06.440 offstage. Washington Post, Trump taken away after loud noises. CNN, Secret Service rushes Trump offstage

00:13:13.280 after he falls at rally, after he falls. That's just a lie. He went down. He didn't fall down. He went down

00:13:23.600 because he had been shot in the ear. And then he chose to go down to stop from potentially being

00:13:31.920 shot again. Trump rushes him offstage after he falls. NBC, the former president could be seen

00:13:41.000 clutching his ear after popping noises were heard at the campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

00:13:46.960 Anyone else? Who do we have? USA Today, Trump removed from stage by Secret Service after loud

00:13:53.840 noises startles the former president. He was startled.

00:13:59.520 Newsweek, MAGA responds with outrage after Donald Trump injured at Pennsylvania rally. This is the

00:14:05.700 absolute peak of Republicans' pounce. Republicans' pounce is a type of headline that the left runs

00:14:13.020 when the left does something evil or the left covers up for something evil and the conservatives

00:14:21.120 and the Republicans in the right criticize the evil thing. Then the story is not the evil thing. The

00:14:26.900 story is responding to the evil thing. MAGA responds with outrage. That's the story, right? A president

00:14:33.600 and current presidential frontrunner is within a hair's breadth of being assassinated on stage.

00:14:40.840 The story is MAGA responds with outrage, right? I don't think so. I don't think so. There's a lot

00:14:45.960 more to say. First, though, go to policygenius.com slash Knowles. Life is unpredictable, as I think

00:15:59.800 that it wasn't an assassination attempt, it was loud noises, it was some popping, then if you were

00:16:05.160 in any way tempted to give the media credit for any integrity, which I was not, but if you mistakenly

00:16:11.060 were, that inclination would have probably dissipated within a few hours when George Stephanopoulos,

00:16:19.860 Bill Clinton's former chief propagandist in the White House, who pretends to be a journalist on

00:16:24.200 television now, a nonpartisan, you know, disinterested journalist who, after Biden was

00:16:32.600 trying to stop the fallout from his disastrous debate performance, who did he choose to do the

00:16:37.600 interview? Of course, he chose George Stephanopoulos. He is the dean of Democrat propagandists. He

00:16:42.420 interviews, what's that woman's name, Martha Raddatz, I think, on ABC this week, and they immediately

00:16:49.180 launch into blaming the Republicans. President Trump and his supporters have contributed to this

00:16:56.340 violent rhetoric as well. Well, absolutely, George. We were just looking back this morning at some of

00:17:01.760 the things that former President Trump has said. He warned last March of potential death and destruction

00:17:08.200 if he were charged by the Manhattan district attorney. Our country is being destroyed, as they tell us to

00:17:13.620 be peaceful. Trump in January warned of bedlam in the country if the criminal charges against him

00:17:19.360 succeeded. And, of course, in March, he said, now, if I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath

00:17:25.340 for the whole. That's going to be the least of it. It's going to be a bloodbath for the country.

00:17:29.400 That will be the least of it. He said he was partly joking and that that was taken out of context.

00:17:34.580 But those are indeed his words. And you have heard it from supporters as well. And supporters are

00:17:40.700 certainly, in some parts, angry. And let's remember January 6th in so many ways.

00:17:46.380 Let's remember January 6th.

00:17:48.060 January 6th will probably be in the background after yesterday's event.

00:17:54.100 First, there was an outright lie in her so-called reporting. When she said, you know,

00:18:02.020 and famously, Donald Trump said there would be a bloodbath if he weren't reelected,

00:18:06.780 though he says that was taken out of context. Of any rhetoric you ever want to say was taken out

00:18:11.760 of context, the word bloodbath has multiple meanings. One meaning is an economic meaning,

00:18:18.660 an economic crisis. Donald Trump said there would be a bloodbath specifically in an economic context.

00:18:24.300 He was talking about the importation of cars. He was talking about the automobile industry.

00:18:27.520 You can criticize any politician's rhetoric all you like. That is just a complete lie.

00:18:34.360 To insinuate that the term bloodbath there did not have an economic meaning.

00:18:42.700 Then, of course, all the rest of it, though. Well, you know, look, so someone, after we've all spent

00:18:48.360 years calling Trump a Nazi and saying he represents an existential threat to the republic, someone very

00:18:53.160 nearly blew his head off on stage. And when you think about it, it's really Trump's fault,

00:18:56.840 isn't it? These ghouls, these disgusting cretins, absolutely revolting, revolting behavior. Even I 1.00

00:19:06.840 have such low expectations for people like George Stephanopoulos and Martha Raddatz and all the rest

00:19:12.740 of them. My expectations of them are absolutely in the gutter, and they've somehow managed to fall

00:19:17.920 below my expectations of them. Revolting behavior. This goes so far beyond, well, you know, she was

00:19:24.980 wearing a dark dress, a short dress in that dark alleyway, wasn't she? This goes so far beyond

00:19:29.580 victim blaming. A national trauma in some ways already occurred, but a profound historic national

00:19:41.480 trauma was about 15 degrees of a head turn away from occurring because someone almost blew off the

00:19:46.860 head of a former president and current presidential front runner. And their reaction, their first

00:19:53.680 reaction is, well, you know, he kind of had it coming, didn't he? When you think about it, it's

00:19:57.940 really the Republicans who were violent. Disgusting. These people make me want to vomit. 1.00

00:20:04.240 Then we have David Frum. David Frum from the Atlantic. David Frum, who, he was a Bush speech

00:20:10.620 writer, I guess. He was kind of some junior Bush speech writer, but he's one of those, you know,

00:20:14.600 Republicans, but not that kind of Republican. He's a Republican whose job it is to write in

00:20:19.160 liberal magazines to defend Democrats. And in the Atlantic, his headline two days after

00:20:24.480 the shooting, the gunman, well, maybe one day after, I'm sorry, one day after the shooting,

00:20:30.980 the gunman and the would-be dictator. Violence stalks the president who has rejoiced in violence to

00:20:35.420 others. He had it coming, you know. He's, look, he's going to be, he's a would-be dictator.

00:20:41.560 Someone should probably do it again. Someone should succeed this time. That's what he's

00:20:44.580 saying. That's what the Atlantic is saying. They don't learn a thing. And then, of course,

00:20:48.720 we have Jen Psaki, former spokesman for the White House under Joe Biden, who says, you know, yeah,

00:20:54.760 Trump, by the grace of God, didn't have his head blown off on stage. A Trump supporter was murdered.

00:21:04.820 Multiple Trump supporters were critically injured by this gunman. This after years of additional

00:21:12.020 political violence against Democrats, we remember Steve Scalise, the Republican congressman,

00:21:15.840 nearly killed by a left-wing shooter at the congressional baseball game. We remember Justice

00:21:20.160 Brett Kavanaugh nearly murdered in his home by a left-wing operative who traveled across the country

00:21:26.520 to murder him so that the Dobbs decision over turning Roe v. Wade wouldn't come out.

00:21:31.260 Years and years of this, many other instances that we don't need to get into now. And Jen Psaki says,

00:21:37.660 you know, the real victims here are the journalists. For anyone out there who has a platform who thinks

00:21:42.580 the moment right now is to be political and attack the other party, you are feeding into the danger.

00:21:48.360 You are making it more likely there's retaliation. I'm incredibly scared. I'm scared for journalists.

00:21:53.940 I'm scared for people who have public platforms of all parties. And that's how people should feel.

00:21:58.640 It's really, it's really about the jury. You know, the journalists who have called Trump Hitler for

00:22:03.040 eight years and said he represents an existential threat to the country and established a perfectly 0.98

00:22:08.720 sensible premise from which someone might try to blow his head off or go out and murder Trump 0.97

00:22:14.960 supporters. You know, all of those people, they're the ones we should really be worried about, right?

00:22:19.460 And they're the real, they're the real victims. While the establishment media scramble to bury the

00:22:24.520 facts, we continue to shine a light on the reality that they desperately want to hide. The importance of

00:22:29.820 truth-telling has never been more critical. This is why what we're doing here, I think,

00:22:34.480 matters a lot. While your support is crucial, go to dailywire.com slash subscribe right now.

00:22:49.360 Eight years of this, eight years of this, you're going to hear for the next three months, four

00:23:00.260 months, when the media have to acknowledge that someone tried to assassinate Trump, you're going

00:23:07.200 to hear, well, this was a senseless act of violence. Little trip down memory lane.

00:23:13.660 Of course, it's Trump is a Nazi time again. 0.95

00:23:16.200 Let's deal with Hitler, okay? I don't think it's hyperbolic to say that. I mean, 0.94

00:23:20.280 that is Mussolini-Hitler-like language. Trump's affinity for Hitler was always covered under an

00:23:25.580 umbrella of his stupidity. Echoing Hitler's words. Listen to this. Well, Hitler was duly elected. 1.00

00:23:32.720 Echoing the hateful rhetoric of Adolf Hitler. It echoes Hitler. That's the kind of language 0.78

00:23:38.980 Hitler used in Mein Kampf. About vermin and Hitler and Mussolini. 0.87

00:23:43.680 That's a horrifying clip. That's a fascist clip. Just going full on Hitler. 0.87

00:23:47.980 From Hitler's Germany. We just need to say, for the record, that the term vermin was really

00:23:53.840 effectively used by Adolf Hitler. Echoed dictators like Hitler. With language evoking authoritarian

00:24:00.600 figures like Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler. Donald Trump parroted the autocratic language of Adolf

00:24:07.120 Hitler. Talk about the brilliance of Hitler's generals. Correct. 0.99

00:24:09.800 Six days before the shooting, the New Republic, which is one of the most prestigious and established

00:24:17.060 magazines on the left, ran a cover, cover story and a cover. American fascism, what it would look

00:24:24.640 like, and it's a picture of Trump as Hitler. And he's got Hitler's little mustache and he's got

00:24:27.920 Hitler's haircut. There are a bunch of writers, some of whom, one of those names I recognize, he's

00:24:34.220 a kind of a punchline professor at Yale University who spends most of his time going on MSNBC and the

00:24:41.340 like. But that's it. It's the cover. This is Trump's Hitler. And this is American fascism. And the New

00:24:47.460 Republic defended the cover and said, you know, we, there are plenty of people who'd excuse Hitler's 0.92

00:24:51.720 behavior and campaigns as kind of normal, but we're going to fight it. How are you going to fight it?

00:24:55.660 Hitler is the symbol of absolute evil in Madeira. Hitler is a historical figure as well, 0.78

00:25:02.700 and a rather nasty one and did lots of evil things. But, but Hitler is also a symbol. He is 0.87

00:25:10.240 the symbol in the modern consciousness of absolute evil. Absolute evil for which anything would be

00:25:22.080 justified up to and including assassination to stop it. That's why people have debates. Not only

00:25:26.020 I'd go back in time and kill Hitler, which if you could get going in time machine, would you go kill 1.00

00:25:29.400 Hitler? But people say, if you go back in a time machine, would you kill baby Hitler? You know, 1.00

00:25:33.200 a little innocent baby during the 2016 race, Jeb Bush joked about this. He said, I would kill baby 0.99

00:25:37.460 Hitler. Uh, Ben got in trouble once he was at the March for life. He said, I would not kill baby 0.99

00:25:41.680 Hitler, but I hate Hitler, but you know, he's a baby and all that to compare someone to Hitler is to say 0.99

00:25:47.300 this person deserves assassination and assassination would be justified. New Republic ran that cover 0.98

00:25:53.020 six days prior to the shooting. When I saw that, I reacted. I said, uh, you know, the left is

00:25:59.520 reckless because I understood how dangerous it was. The left is reckless. The left is dishonest. The

00:26:05.680 left, but, but don't underestimate how goofy the left is. So goofy, so absurd to compare Trump to 0.99

00:26:10.440 Hitler. And David Marcus, good conservative columnist, he responded, he said, don't call it 0.98

00:26:16.480 goofy. This is going to get somebody killed six days later, six days later. Rick Wilson, he's, 0.80

00:26:25.420 he's one of the founders of the Lincoln project. You remember, these are the supposed Republicans who

00:26:31.340 they couldn't get hired in Republican campaigns anymore. So they started to work for Democrats

00:26:36.360 and they were the anti-Trump Republican consultants. And one of them, you know, got pinched for

00:26:41.280 from a young. And, uh, you know, they've, they're, they're a real, uh, a real disreputable lot,

00:26:50.080 all of them. Uh, but, but one of them, you know, because their argument is we need to restore

00:26:54.300 civility to our politics. You know, we can't have this ruffian Donald Trump who's so vulgar and such

00:26:58.260 a threat. Uh, here's Rick Wilson talking about Donald Trump on MSNBC. The donor class can't 0.71

00:27:03.920 just sit back on the sidelines and say, Oh, well, don't worry. This will all work itself

00:27:07.700 out. They're still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump. They got to 1.00

00:27:11.640 go put a bullet in him. And they did, by the way, deadline, which is not exactly a right-wing 0.96

00:27:16.060 outlet. This is a Hollywood trade outlet deadline five days before the assassination attempt

00:27:20.740 reports about a, a, a meeting between president Biden and his finance advisors and his donors

00:27:28.520 says, having repeatedly said over the past week that the live face-off on CNN with Trump

00:27:32.720 was a bad night. POTUS, this is Joe Biden himself today added. So we're done talking about the

00:27:37.900 debate. It's time to put Trump in a bullseye. And they did. And they did. They all did. Didn't

00:27:42.160 they? Even beyond the news media, even beyond the elected politicians, we've seen this in

00:27:47.640 entertainment for years now, going back to 2017. You remember Kathy Griffin, Kathy Griffin,

00:27:52.440 the alleged comedian went viral for holding a trip of president Trump's bloodied and decapitated

00:27:58.920 head. And then president Trump was nearly decapitated. A little, little different aim would

00:28:06.060 have, would have blown off his head. And, and even thank God that he survived that, that now

00:28:13.640 iconic photo of him standing up fight, fight, fight American flag there. He has blood streaming

00:28:20.720 down his face. So this is the, uh, real life version of what Kathy Griffin was calling for.

00:28:29.620 She, she very nearly got it. Unfortunately for her, she desired Trump to be assassinated.

00:28:34.300 She represented that desire. And unfortunately for her, he survived, but that's what she was calling

00:28:39.620 for. Uh, in central park in New York, there's a very famous theatrical series, Shakespeare in the

00:28:46.860 park, uh, during the summers, you'll have these brilliant plays and actors and all the very, well,

00:28:51.960 maybe I shouldn't say brilliant. They're at least very prestigious and they go and they put on the

00:28:55.980 shows in the park rather than having to go to Broadway or to the opera or something. You can go

00:29:01.000 see them in the park. And, uh, so in 2017, they, they put on a performance of Julius Caesar in the park

00:29:08.020 and the show was actually about all these modern stagings of Shakespeare. Uh, this, this context was

00:29:14.820 Donald Trump's assassination. It's an actor dressed to look just like president Donald Trump

00:29:20.260 as he's assassinated on stage. Look as his character is stabbed to death and there's no

00:29:27.780 mistaking the Trump connection. Check out the unbuttoned overcoat and red tie that hangs over

00:29:33.780 his waist. Check it out. We got to lower the temperature, man. This is not who we are. You know,

00:29:39.660 we got to come together, man. We're friends. Come on, man. All these, you know, listen to George

00:29:47.080 Stephanopoulos and Martha Raddatz, all these Republicans, you know, it's really the Republicans

00:29:51.240 because sometimes they'll say things like we need to secure our border or we need lower inflation

00:29:57.060 or we shouldn't be starting new wars around the world or we should, you know, they say all these

00:30:02.600 really inflammatory, evil, violent things, or even on January 6th, the worst day in the history of the

00:30:07.060 world. Why? By golly, a man in a horn hat might get a private police escorted tour of the Capitol.

00:30:13.560 That's the worst day in history. Some Midwestern granny takes a selfie in the Capitol rotunda. 1.00

00:30:19.400 The only person killed in the political violence of that day is a Trump supporter noticing a theme,

00:30:24.640 but we need to lower the temperature, man. We need to unite. Don't you think? Can you believe

00:30:29.640 these irresponsible Republicans? The Democrats, the left has almost uniformly called for Trump's

00:30:36.180 assassination for eight years, implicitly and sometimes explicitly. And they came within.

00:30:45.260 And a turn of a head that is, I won't say inexplicable. It's not explicable by natural

00:30:58.660 explanations. That turned just a nanosecond before that saved Trump's life.

00:31:06.580 It can't be explained by probability in natural actions. And that was the difference between the

00:31:15.820 Democrats getting what they've been asking for for eight years and not.

00:31:20.920 We have new footage emerging of the shooter. We haven't even talked yet really about the shooter.

00:31:30.580 And we'll get to the shooter. But there are more important questions first, even than who the

00:31:37.600 shooter is. The shooter had his head blown off, so he's no longer a threat. How did the shooter get

00:31:43.920 onto this roof? Well, we're told it was outside the security perimeter. How big was the security

00:31:47.720 perimeter? The shooter was only, what, 150 yards away? It's not that far. This is a really small

00:31:54.300 town. It's a town of 12,000 people. How many big buildings are there in this town? Three?

00:31:59.460 The U.S. Secret Service wasn't able to secure all of those buildings?

00:32:04.580 Was it local police that was supposed to secure the buildings? How did this guy get up there?

00:32:08.940 Did anyone notice him? Yes. When I was broadcasting on Saturday night, we heard from

00:32:14.200 eyewitnesses who said, yeah, I called this in. I saw a guy with a rifle climbing up to a roof. I told

00:32:19.660 police. He later said he told Secret Service. And then the guy was just up there for minutes

00:32:23.620 while Trump was speaking. He said, I couldn't understand why they didn't pull Trump off the

00:32:26.320 stage. Now there's new video. There's a crowd of people watching this guy with a rifle climb up to

00:32:31.680 the roof, filming him. Presumably, I think they're saying, reporting this to the police and nothing

00:32:39.240 happens. He was doing his job. I wouldn't even be doing this. I get some beautiful places.

00:32:44.700 Look, they're all pointed. Yeah, someone's on top of the roof. Look, there he is right there.

00:32:54.180 Right there. You see him? He's laying down. You see him? Yeah, he's laying down.

00:32:57.760 He's laying down. He's laying down. He's laying down. He's laying down. He's laying down.

00:33:03.220 What's happening?

00:33:04.720 And the police will take back the land. Because if we do, we're going to make America better than

00:33:09.520 other people. We're going to make it. Yeah, look. There he is.

00:33:13.100 Because we have millions and millions of people in our country that shouldn't be here. 0.96

00:33:18.140 Dangerous people. Criminals. We have criminals. We have criminals.

00:33:21.680 He's on the roof. He's on the roof. We have people that should not be here.

00:33:26.520 And you can see him. You can see the guy on the roof. You can hear officer, officer. He's

00:33:37.100 on the roof. There's a crowd of people observing this, filming this, calling this in. It's not

00:33:44.820 far. You can see they're filming Trump on stage over there. This is a small town. This

00:33:50.200 is a small distance. And this guy's just allowed to be on the roof with a gun for minutes? What?

00:33:59.880 What?

00:34:00.320 The timing of the assassination attempt, thank God unsuccessful, is a little odd too.

00:34:08.960 Just before the Republican National Convention. Just before Trump officially becomes the Republican

00:34:15.200 nominee. Days before. Two days before. The last chance to take him out.

00:34:20.760 What happened? There was a lot of time. What happened? According to the U.S. Secret Service,

00:34:31.800 it's the local police's fault. Because they were supposed to secure that rooftop. The U.S. Secret

00:34:35.940 Service was supposed to secure within the security perimeter. And then the local police, I guess

00:34:40.200 we're being the local police in Butler, Pennsylvania. Can you imagine what the budget for that department

00:34:45.000 is? 50 bucks a year? I don't know. You're talking about a small town police department

00:34:50.800 is being tasked with protecting the president of the United States? Technically outside of the

00:34:55.380 security perimeter, but we're only talking about 150 yards away with a handful of buildings of any

00:35:00.420 size whatsoever? What? Then around 6.10 p.m., we're told a local police officer climbed a ladder onto the

00:35:09.760 roof. Came face to face with the would-be assassin. The assassin pointed a rifle at him. This is

00:35:15.440 according to the Associated Press hearing from law enforcement. And then the cop just climbed back

00:35:21.720 down the ladder. What? And then after the attempted, the would-be assassin fired off at least a few

00:35:36.360 rounds. It looks like more than a few rounds. Then Secret Service was able to blow his brains out.

00:35:44.720 Who gave the call? Here's what, I got a lot of questions. Who gave the call to leave crucial

00:35:52.160 security in this relatively small town to local law enforcement? Who made that call? I don't think

00:35:59.180 it was the agents on the ground. So who, what, which bureaucrat within the U.S. Secret Service,

00:36:05.920 that is to say within the Biden administration, made that call? Was it a resource issue? Was it

00:36:11.260 just that they didn't have enough agents? Why was Trump not given a sufficient number of Secret

00:36:16.320 Service agents? Why was Donald Trump, the man that the left uniformly has been calling to assassinate

00:36:22.060 for eight years, a former president, current presidential front runner, why was he not given

00:36:25.860 enough Secret Service agents? If it was a resource issue, that they had to rely on local police with

00:36:33.440 no budget, very few officers relative to the federal government to secure the area.

00:36:42.600 There are some reports that the snipers had sights on the shooter before. Those seem totally

00:36:47.820 unconfirmed to me. But if that were the case, because enough people are talking about it,

00:36:53.720 if that were the case, who gives the call to blow his brains out?

00:37:00.000 What took so long? What took so long that people, a crowd on the ground could see this guy,

00:37:06.400 film this guy, call him in to police, and minutes go by, Trump's still on stage, and he's allowed to 0.58

00:37:13.180 pop off rounds and kill people and nearly assassinate President Trump. What happened? 0.88

00:37:20.880 My favorite comment on Friday is from Isaac F. N. Ghost. When he pumped his fist with that look of

00:37:28.380 defiance on his face, it almost brought me to tears. Never been more motivated to vote for this

00:37:33.220 man than I am right now. Of course, I think a lot of people are thinking that.

00:37:36.740 Joe Biden, during his meandering and mostly pointless statement, a couple of statements now

00:37:47.900 I suppose he's made, Biden said that he's directed the U.S. Secret Service director

00:37:55.020 to investigate what happened. Here's what we're going to do. First, Mr. Trump is a former president

00:38:01.860 and nominee of the Republican Party, already receives a heightened level of security.

00:38:06.740 And I've been consistent in my direction of the Secret Service to provide him with every

00:38:11.200 resource, capability, and protective measure necessary to ensure his continued safety.

00:38:16.320 Second, I've directed the head of the Secret Service to review all security measures for

00:38:22.360 the Republican National Convention, which is scheduled to start tomorrow. And third, I've directed

00:38:30.120 an independent review of the national security at yesterday's rally to assess exactly what happened.

00:38:35.900 And we'll share the results of that independent review with the American people as well.

00:38:41.220 Good, good. That's good. The Secret Service director, who completely failed at protecting

00:38:48.080 President Trump, she's going to be directed to, you know, make sure she extra special protects the 0.75

00:38:53.720 RNC, where virtually every prominent Republican politician, maybe media figure, I'll be going there

00:39:00.120 tomorrow, will be in Milwaukee. Good. Doesn't that make you feel much safer?

00:39:06.320 Any direction from Joe Biden right now to the head of the Secret Service, short of

00:39:11.720 directing this Secret Service director to pack up her desk, is an invitation for another assassination 0.97

00:39:18.980 attempt on Trump. Who is this person? It's a woman named Kimberly Cheadle. She was appointed

00:39:25.840 Secret Service director by Joe Biden. There's reporting from CBS News back in May of 2023 that

00:39:34.200 she's made it a top priority to diversify the agency by having 30% female recruits by 2030. 1.00

00:39:41.960 That's important. We need a DEI Secret Service. That's a good way to get presidents assassinated. 0.75

00:39:49.800 You have a DEI. You don't prioritize skill, merit, lethality, physical strength and stature. You

00:39:59.720 don't prioritize any of that. You just make sure that we get, we got to diversify. We need equity and

00:40:04.200 inclusion. We got to get, we need 30% women in the Secret Service, women known for their physical 0.96

00:40:09.840 strength. It is perverse. This is almost a side point, though I suppose it does relate to this

00:40:21.140 story pretty directly. It is perverse and scandalous that we permit women into the U.S. Secret Service 1.00

00:40:29.040 to be protecting the president for a couple reasons. One, the reason that everyone's focusing on right

00:40:34.300 now is because women are physically weaker than men. Women are physically shorter than men. 1.00

00:40:41.280 They're not, it was absurd. There was, some people observed that it looked like one of the agents,

00:40:46.540 a female agent, couldn't even properly holster her gun. You know, it looked, it looked weak. 0.65

00:40:53.620 But, but, but even putting that aside, Trump is what, 6'2", 6'3". He's a big guy, broad frame.

00:41:00.860 You can't have a woman protecting him. It won't work. Unless she's going to walk around on stilts, 1.00

00:41:06.140 it's not going to work. But the Biden administration wants to prioritize DEI and affirmative action and a

00:41:13.180 bunch of liberal nonsense ideology over doing the job of the Secret Service, which is to protect

00:41:19.860 the president, among other things. That's the most notable purpose of the Secret Service.

00:41:24.780 So that's what everyone's focusing on, that women are just physically weaker and slower than men. 0.99

00:41:29.640 And women have many qualities, many wonderful, admirable qualities that men don't have.

00:41:34.580 Women are better at plenty of things than men are. But, but being physically strong isn't one of 1.00

00:41:38.920 them. Okay. That's what everyone's focusing on. And sure, that's true. But to me, that's almost a

00:41:42.660 secondary point. Because then you're hearing some people, even so-called conservatives saying,

00:41:46.680 well, look, no, we just need to make sure that it's a uniform test for everyone. And so if women can 1.00

00:41:50.700 meet the physical requirements, which they pretty much never can, but if the, if some woman can, 1.00

00:41:54.560 then she should serve on the Secret Service detail. No, that's not the point. Part of the reason that

00:41:59.360 it is perverse for women to be in the Secret Service is because it is perverse for a country 1.00

00:42:05.200 to expect a woman to take a bullet for a man. That's wrong. I never want a woman taking a bullet 1.00

00:42:10.520 for me ever. That's wrong. Men are supposed to protect women, not the other way around.

00:42:17.660 And if you believe, if you're a left-wing, radical left egalitarian, and you think there's no

00:42:23.780 difference between men and women, and you think that a man can become a woman, and it's all the 0.94

00:42:27.500 same, man, then I understand why you might think women should be taking bullets for men. I think 1.00

00:42:32.740 that's a deeply misogynistic view, to use a popular word. But I understand how you could come to that

00:42:38.260 erroneous conclusion. But if you believe that men and women are different, if you really believe that,

00:42:43.660 then you can't just stop at, you know, transvestites are weird, or, you know, men shouldn't play 0.99

00:42:49.820 women's sports. Why not? Why shouldn't men play women's sports? Why couldn't you at least get a 1.00

00:42:54.120 really, really weak man to play in the really best women's league? If they're, you know, then you 1.00

00:42:58.280 equal out the physical. Do you really believe men and women are different? Then you believe that some

00:43:03.560 things are more appropriate for men than for women, and vice versa. Then you believe that men and women 0.65

00:43:09.640 have to act a little bit differently sometimes. And sometimes women, you know, they have to do 1.00

00:43:20.120 tough things, and sometimes men have to do tougher things than women. But in this case, if anyone's

00:43:25.760 going to take a bullet for anyone, if anyone's going to protect anyone, it's going to be the men

00:43:29.880 protecting the women. This is how we've operated in our country pretty much forever. The Secret Service

00:43:35.460 has admitted women for some decades now, but still, you know, somewhat recent. And we've only

00:43:39.920 had women in combat, fully open combat positions since 2015. Why is it that we didn't permit that 1.00

00:43:47.100 before? It's not just physical differences. It's a, it's, it's, because if we recognize that men and

00:43:54.360 women are different, if we recognize things like honor and nature, and I don't, you know, reality, 1.00

00:44:01.840 chivalry. Then those are the conclusions that we will draw. There's some breaking news happening

00:44:07.860 now. Judge Eileen Cannon, I'm being told, in Florida, has dismissed the Trump classified documents

00:44:16.500 case. This was maybe the strongest, I thought all the cases against Trump were ridiculous. This is 0.88

00:44:23.180 maybe the strongest one. Breaking news, Judge Cannon has dismissed the documents case.

00:44:28.960 We haven't even gotten to the shooter. I'll give you, I'll give you what we know,

00:44:35.820 because I want to, I want to be comprehensive in today's show. It's very important. Things are

00:44:39.740 changing quickly. There's, the information is coming out like a fire hose. What we know about this guy

00:44:44.720 is he's 20 years old and he was a registered Republican, but the only party that he ever donated

00:44:50.180 money to were the Democrats, a progressive group among the Democrats. So we don't know, you know,

00:44:55.860 in terms of his politics, it looks like it's split down the middle. The Republicans, or the Democrats

00:45:01.420 rather, can point to his Republican registration and say, see, he was a right winger. The Republicans

00:45:05.000 can point to his sole record of donations to progressive Democrats and say, see, he was a

00:45:11.800 left winger. And that's all we know. That's all we know about him. President Biden has directed an

00:45:17.580 investigation, you know, to be led by the FBI, to be, I don't know, to be led by all of these agencies

00:45:22.300 that have spent years now lying about Donald Trump, colluding with Democrats. The FBI and DOJ

00:45:28.100 colluded with Democrats to cook the books and make up a bunch of nonsense on Donald Trump colluding

00:45:31.880 with the Russians. That was at the beginning of Trump's presidential career, undermining his

00:45:36.260 administration. Now this major and very difficult to explain security lapse just two days before the

00:45:45.160 RNC. We need, obviously, an investigation. Who do we trust to do it? Who do we trust to conduct it?

00:45:53.000 What conclusions would we believe? The rest of the show continues now. You do not want to miss it.
