The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1553 - The FBI Involved In The Trump Assassination Attempt？

00:00:00.580 Republicans are Nazis. 1.00

00:00:01.880 You cannot separate yourselves from the bad white people. 1.00

00:00:05.480 Growing up, I never thought much about race. 0.90

00:00:07.400 It never really seemed to matter that much, at least not to me.

00:00:10.060 Am I racist?

00:00:11.240 I would really appreciate it if you love.

00:00:12.520 I'm trying to learn. I'm on this journey.

00:00:14.520 I'm going to sort this out. I need to go deeper undercover.

00:00:20.140 Joining us now is Matt, certified DEI expert.

00:00:23.740 Here's my certifications.

00:00:24.880 What you're doing is you're stretching out of your whiteness. 0.71

00:00:27.620 This is more for you than this for you.

00:00:28.540 Is America inherently racist?

00:00:30.160 The word inherent is challenging there.

00:00:32.120 You want to rename the George Washington Monument to the George Floyd Monument?

00:00:35.260 America is racist to its bones.

00:00:37.160 So inherently. 0.99

00:00:38.000 Yeah, this country is a piece of...

00:00:39.760 White folks. 1.00

00:00:42.160 Trash. 1.00

00:00:42.640 White supremacy. 1.00

00:00:43.440 White woman. 1.00

00:00:44.020 White boy.

00:00:44.540 Is there a black person around here?

00:00:45.840 What's a black person right here? Does he not exist? 0.86

00:00:49.940 Hi, Robin.

00:00:50.500 Hi.

00:00:50.860 What's your name?

00:00:51.820 I'm Matt.

00:00:52.300 I just had to ask who you are because you have to be careful.

00:00:54.920 Never be too careful.

00:00:55.780 They gonna say you racist.

00:00:56.740 Buy your tickets now.

00:00:57.720 In theaters September 13th.

00:00:59.120 Rated PG-13.

00:01:00.700 The last couple weeks have seen a lot of distractions in the 2024 race.

00:01:05.460 News stories about weirdness and couches and whatever else.

00:01:09.280 The media want to distract because the political issues all cut in Trump's favor.

00:01:14.900 So here's one issue worth talking about.

00:01:17.260 There's a new study out that shows that Americans are dying younger.

00:01:21.280 The study's lead author, Penn State professor Jessica Ho, explains that, quote,

00:01:27.020 one of the main drivers of why American longevity is so much shorter than in other high-income countries

00:01:34.260 is that our younger people die at higher rates from largely preventable causes of death,

00:01:40.260 like drug overdose.

00:01:42.060 Terrible statistic.

00:01:42.960 The country is dying, absolutely, and at higher rates than comparable countries.

00:01:51.040 The country is dying younger because younger people are dying. 1.00

00:01:54.340 Younger people are dying from drug overdoses.

00:01:57.280 Drug overdoses are occurring because fentanyl is pouring across the border and poisoning otherwise non-lethal drugs.

00:02:03.880 Fentanyl is pouring across the border because border czar Kamala Harris refuses to close the border.

00:02:10.620 It's a simple fact.

00:02:12.540 It's the sort of fact the media want desperately to avoid.

00:02:16.180 And it is the sort of fact that could sway many, many votes to President Trump.

00:02:21.140 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:02:21.840 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:02:33.880 Welcome back to the show.

00:02:42.960 One in five voters and one in three Republicans thinks the FBI was behind the Trump assassination attempt.

00:02:50.360 Why is that?

00:02:50.980 We'll get into it.

00:02:51.540 First, though, I want to set the stage.

00:02:54.020 I want to set the mood.

00:02:55.000 I want to light up my Sicilian summer candle.

00:02:58.980 You know, summer is drawing to a close, my friends.

00:03:02.280 Get your Sicilian summer candle before it's too late, before we all move into the PSL season.

00:03:08.380 You can get all those candles.

00:03:10.060 PSL, Sicilian summer, Old Soul, Chimdilachem, Wise Man, the Mayflower candles, all of them at thecandleclub.com.

00:03:18.760 The, don't forget the the, thecandleclub.com.

00:03:23.440 We're talking about really basic issues here.

00:03:26.300 That's what the media don't want to talk about.

00:03:28.460 So that's a good sign that that's exactly what we should talk about.

00:03:30.800 I understand that Americans dying younger than comparable countries is not the sexiest issue.

00:03:38.040 It's really sexy and meme-y and internet-y and weird to talk about, you know, couches and, and weirdness actually for that matter and joy and the black women of color being the first to break the historical, historic glass ceiling of achievement, of accomplishment, of joy and whatever, you know, all that gobbledygook that they're trying to push. 0.99

00:04:01.440 But how about a simple question, hey, lady, Kamala, you're the VP, the White House is now saying you're sort of the president.

00:04:08.420 Why are Americans dying younger?

00:04:10.520 Oh, because of fentanyl that you are allowing across the border.

00:04:13.960 That, that's an issue that would drive me to go vote, especially these days when everyone, it seems, knows someone who has been affected by the worst drug crisis in American history that is being intentionally promoted by Kamala Harris, whose job it is to resolve the border problem.

00:04:33.860 Here's another example.

00:04:36.620 Inflation is up 20.2% since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office.

00:04:43.180 Now, the Democrats want to blame Trump and the Republicans for this.

00:04:46.640 And the way that they can get away with it, at least a little bit, is they can say, well, the massive spending that led to the inflation began under Trump's presidency because it began during COVID and COVID started on Trump's watch.

00:04:59.640 Okay, I guess you could say that.

00:05:02.680 It's true, Trump was the president, but who was pushing all the massive spending?

00:05:06.260 All the massive spending was being pushed by the Democrats.

00:05:08.800 When the Democrats were pushing all that crazy spending, it was guys like Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham and the Republicans who were saying, no, we got to cool it on this spending.

00:05:17.200 The Dems pushed for it.

00:05:18.060 It's sort of like blaming Trump and the Republicans for the COVID lockdowns and the school closures and the masking rules and the social distancing.

00:05:26.860 Yeah, sure, these things did occur while Republicans were in office, while President Trump was president.

00:05:34.580 But they were all being pushed by the Democrats.

00:05:37.300 And the Republicans only gave into it reluctantly because they were backed into a corner and Democrats still wielded some political power.

00:05:44.620 So, and to say nothing of the terrible economic policies and the spending policies under Biden himself, notably the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which even liberal analysts observed would make inflation worse.

00:05:57.580 And inflation has been really, really bad.

00:05:59.500 Prices up 20.2%.

00:06:01.220 That is a Democrat issue.

00:06:05.120 The libs don't really want to talk about it.

00:06:07.620 Those are the sort of things we have to shine a light back on.

00:06:10.640 Back when Joe Biden was the nominee, people were talking about those kinds of problems because he just faded into the background, you know, and we weren't even sure if he was alive or dead.

00:06:20.240 Now the libs are propping up Kamala Harris. 0.98

00:06:23.160 The only way they can talk about that, or the only way, rather, that they can achieve that is by stopping her from talking.

00:06:29.780 Well, okay, that all ends at the debate.

00:06:32.580 So what do we focus on at the debate?

00:06:34.360 There are all sorts of things we could attack, Kamala peddling racial identity in a way that she totally flipped on, Kamala running to the left, running to the center, being an empty suit, this and that. 1.00

00:06:46.580 You could run.

00:06:47.420 But she is currently the vice president.

00:06:50.140 The White House is pretending she is sort of the president. 0.97

00:06:53.480 Okay, then hold her accountable for how terrible everything has gotten on their watch.

00:06:58.160 Now, speaking of prices, there's some really good news.

00:07:00.800 If you want a ticket for Burning Man, you can get it probably at a pretty good price right now.

00:07:07.440 Burning Man is not selling out.

00:07:09.640 What is Burning Man, you ask?

00:07:12.040 Well, you would be asking that question if you're a little bit older or if you're very young.

00:07:22.300 Burning Man is millennial Woodstock.

00:07:26.160 Burning Man is millennial Bacchanal, you know, some kind of Dionysian festival from ancient Greece, but just in modern, hippy-dippy, New Age-y world.

00:07:36.340 You just go to the desert and do a bunch of drugs and weird sex stuff and then go home.

00:07:42.220 Burning Man has been really, really popular for more than a decade.

00:07:47.560 For that period of time, Burning Man tickets have sold out almost immediately, sometimes in a matter of minutes.

00:07:54.280 Burning Man was the Taylor Swift concert of its day, but now, less than two weeks before the festival kicks off, there are still tickets available.

00:08:04.000 People don't want to go to Burning Man.

00:08:05.880 And I love this because Burning Man is really bad.

00:08:07.600 I mean, you could probably ascertain my opinion of the festival from how I described it, but it's just a weird pagan orgy. 0.86

00:08:15.320 But it's not even as cool as the old pagan orgies, it's just like a sad, modern, liberal simulacrum of an old pagan orgy.

00:08:22.980 So it's really weird, and you go to the desert and worship some idol and do things that are not conducive to your flourishing.

00:08:30.360 But the good news is, people aren't going anymore.

00:08:35.220 And this is a vindication of the wisdom.

00:08:36.980 If you marry yourself to the spirit of the age, you'll find yourself a widow in the next. 0.96

00:08:42.240 The most devastating, you could always critique Burning Man for being a cult and new agey and decadent and debauched and bizarre.

00:08:53.200 But now you can attack it for not even being cool because all of these fads, they fade away.

00:09:02.160 We make fun of the hippies from the 60s and the early 70s, but they were kind of cool at the time. 0.96

00:09:08.700 Now we look back on them and we mock them because they seem like total losers.

00:09:12.920 But that's true whenever we give in to spiritual fads, the fashionable heresies and bizarre behaviors of our age.

00:09:22.040 They pass away.

00:09:24.260 And the things that endure are true religion, for starters, but even at a lower level, tradition endures.

00:09:34.060 And so we mock the old fogies who are traditionalists, but think about it with fashion. 0.90

00:09:40.680 If you buy a powder blue tuxedo with ruffled shirts and big bell bottoms, you might seem hipper than the guy wearing a classic black tuxedo in 1974.

00:09:54.900 But by 1984, you're going to look like a joke.

00:09:59.060 You're going to be mocked.

00:10:00.740 People are going to make fun of your prom photos.

00:10:03.380 If you wear the classic black tuxedo, you're going to look pretty good regardless of the age.

00:10:09.620 This is true in political forms.

00:10:12.760 This is certainly true of religion. 0.70

00:10:14.100 If you go with true religion, you might not always seem like the hippest, but that religion is going to be enduring.

00:10:20.560 Those political views even are going to be enduring.

00:10:24.540 Do not fall for the burning men of politics, society, culture, and religion.

00:10:30.340 There's so much more to say.

00:11:28.740 So for all those reasons, go to balanceofnature.com.

00:11:38.720 Speaking of changing times, going along with various fads, Kamala Harris' campaign has just declared it will not support Medicare for All.

00:11:49.740 A campaign official told Peter Doocy, who's the Fox News White House correspondent, that Harris will not be pushing the subject of single-payer health care, Medicare for All.

00:12:01.360 She's not pushing that, okay?

00:12:03.380 And it's a dastardly Republican lie to suggest that she would.

00:12:08.340 Where on earth would Republicans get the idea that Kamala Harris supports Medicare for All? 1.00

00:12:15.180 I want to give credit to Bernie.

00:12:18.060 Take credit, Bernie.

00:12:19.880 You brought us this far in Medicare for All.

00:12:23.140 I support Medicare for All.

00:12:24.660 I always have.

00:12:25.860 That was September 12, 2019.

00:12:29.680 I support Medicare for All.

00:12:31.700 I always have.

00:12:34.420 Now her campaign says she will not support Medicare for All.

00:12:38.280 She will not support single-payer health care.

00:12:40.560 She couldn't say it more clearly, and she said it in other places than that.

00:12:43.440 So we come to one of two conclusions.

00:12:47.720 Either Kamala is lying to us now, or she has no principles. 0.94

00:12:53.980 Because notice, she's not even saying, you know, Bernie, I think this might be kind of an interesting idea.

00:12:57.160 She's saying, I support Medicare for All.

00:12:59.500 I've always supported Medicare for All.

00:13:01.000 So what is it?

00:13:01.640 Is she lying now, or does she have no principles?

00:13:04.640 Why not both?

00:13:06.560 She is certainly lying to us now.

00:13:09.380 She's lying to us about a lot of things.

00:13:10.820 Her campaign is lying to us about how she supports closing the border. 0.99

00:13:13.900 She could do it tomorrow if she actually believed that.

00:13:16.820 And also, she doesn't really have any principles.

00:13:18.720 But I do think she believes in this idea.

00:13:21.220 So how is she getting away with it?

00:13:23.640 She's getting away with it.

00:13:25.640 No one really cares about the obfuscations and the constantly changing her mind and lying to your face and gaslighting you and all the rest.

00:13:32.840 Because everyone knows that she is subservient to the Democrat machine. 1.00

00:13:38.820 No one views her as an individual with ideas.

00:13:42.080 They all view her as a lieutenant who just got promoted, who's going to go along with whatever the machine says.

00:13:50.760 It's kind of like Al-Qaeda. 0.71

00:13:51.820 Forgive the comparison between the Democrats and Al-Qaeda.

00:13:55.780 But with Al-Qaeda, you know, for decades, there'd be a guy at the top or toward the top, maybe the number two, the number three guy. 0.94

00:14:03.580 And we'd go in and we'd drone him or we'd shoot him or we'd figure out some way to kill him. 0.79

00:14:08.520 And then what would happen? 0.99

00:14:09.280 The next guy would just pop up in line.

00:14:10.940 And then six months later, we'd get rid of that guy.

00:14:13.580 And then the next one would pop up in line.

00:14:15.180 And nothing would really change about the organization.

00:14:18.260 The machine remained the same.

00:14:19.700 The names just changed.

00:14:21.880 So the same goes for Joe Biden.

00:14:23.580 Joe Biden was an empty suit.

00:14:25.880 And then he got sniped out figuratively.

00:14:29.620 Donald Trump literally was sniped.

00:14:31.820 Joe Biden was figuratively sniped by his own party, taken out of the race.

00:14:36.880 And so, okay, like a Pez dispenser, the next one pops right up.

00:14:40.360 But nothing really changes.

00:14:41.920 She doesn't have all that much power. 1.00

00:14:43.860 She'll go along with whatever the campaign officials and the Democrat elites tell her.

00:14:49.700 And this doesn't bother the base because the base trusts the Democrat machine.

00:14:55.580 What's funny is that Republicans have the opposite issue.

00:14:59.300 Donald Trump is not just a Republican machine politician.

00:15:02.300 Donald Trump in 2016 succeeded at a hostile takeover of the Republican Party.

00:15:08.240 And there are a lot of voters who trust Trump, but they don't trust the GOP establishment.

00:15:17.340 Trump has his own ideas, and he pushes his own ideas.

00:15:20.460 And sometimes the GOP establishment really hates it.

00:15:23.940 Sometimes the GOP establishment keeps its mouth shut.

00:15:25.860 But it's the opposite here.

00:15:27.060 For the Republicans, it's all about the individual, this guy Trump, who's really shaken up the party.

00:15:32.100 For the Democrats, the individual doesn't mean anything at all.

00:15:35.860 Kamala could go away tomorrow. 0.55

00:15:37.000 It could be May or Pete.

00:15:37.920 Nothing about the campaign would change.

00:15:39.680 Nothing about the campaign has changed from Biden to Harris.

00:15:43.880 Now, there are some ways to make Kamala individually particularly unlikable to a lot of Americans.

00:15:52.140 And the issue, it should have been the first thing that we thought of, but the issue that seems to have the most currency on individuating Kamala Harris and really making her unlikable to suburban voters, centrist voters, even center-left, is the one that we've all been talking about for years.

00:16:12.900 Transing the kids. 0.99

00:16:14.260 That's it.

00:16:14.980 I started a tour now, I guess, five or six years ago, and it was the campus speaking tour, Men Are Not Women and Other Uncomfortable Truths.

00:16:27.220 Matt did his movie, What is a Woman?

00:16:29.520 I gave my CPAC speech a couple years ago now.

00:16:34.680 And that's just what's going on here at The Daily Wire.

00:16:37.620 We've gotten laws changed.

00:16:39.620 Matt held that big rally to stop gender mutilation.

00:16:42.400 We've gotten trans clinics shut down.

00:16:45.520 The UK, which is more liberal than America in so many ways, has shut down transing the kids. 1.00

00:16:50.700 France is making moves to shut down transing the kids.

00:16:53.060 This issue has wide currency, and there's a poll that shows that a clear majority of Americans oppose this stuff.

00:16:59.560 Nearly 6 in 10 Americans, 58%, are opposed to sex change drugs and surgeries for minors.

00:17:06.460 There's no such thing as a sex change, but the cosmetic procedures that make you look a little bit more like the other sex. 1.00

00:17:13.980 That's a Rasmussen report.

00:17:15.660 47% of voters say they are strongly opposed to such measures.

00:17:20.140 So you have almost half the electorate is strongly, seriously motivated to oppose this stuff.

00:17:26.280 30% support sex change drugs and surgeries for minors.

00:17:31.940 12% are unsure.

00:17:32.880 So that's a distinct minority.

00:17:34.320 Get Kamala on the record here.

00:17:36.640 Kamala just picked a guy who made it his jihad as governor of Minnesota to trans the kids, who came out and said, I want this state to be a sanctuary and a refuge for trans kids.

00:17:49.120 Run away from your parents, kids, and come over here to my white van with candies and puppies of a state, and we're going to make sure that you get all the trans stuff you want, man. 1.00

00:17:57.700 This is a guy who put tampons in the boys' bathroom in the fourth grade in public schools, as many people have noted. 0.94

00:18:04.400 And it's an issue where the Democrats are trying to defend as much as they can.

00:18:08.140 They know this is a vulnerability.

00:18:09.980 Get that woman on the record.

00:18:11.820 And don't look.

00:18:12.380 I think that following the logic of transgenderism, it seems clear that either a man can become a woman or he can't. 0.88

00:18:19.440 And if it's true that a man can become a woman, then we should trans the kids because it's just a fact of human nature. 1.00

00:18:25.040 And if it's not true, as it obviously is not true, then we shouldn't trans anybody. 0.99

00:18:29.560 And transgenderism should be eradicated from public life entirely, the whole preposterous ideology at every level. 1.00

00:18:34.140 However, we don't need to campaign on that right now.

00:18:36.580 Let's just go where this 58% are.

00:18:38.240 Ask Kamala Harris, get her on the record, do you support transgender procedures for children, for minors?

00:18:47.480 Get her on the record.

00:18:48.460 Because either she says yes, which I think she has to say, and she turns off 58% of voters, turns off 47% strongly.

00:18:55.980 Or she says no, and now her presidential ticket looks completely incoherent, and it puts her at odds with the ostensible president, Joe Biden, her own administration, the Biden-Harris administration.

00:19:06.280 Either way, she gets knocked down a peg on an issue that is visceral, that is very emotional, that the vast majority of Americans agree with us on.

00:19:15.140 Of course, Kamala would have to speak to the press in order to get her on the record.

00:19:18.060 But at the very least, you could get it at the debate.

00:19:20.680 Now, the debate is going to be completely unfair because George Stephanopoulos is actually probably the most prominent Democrat propagandist in public life.

00:19:29.180 He was Bill Clinton's White House communications director.

00:19:31.740 He went to ABC News and pretends to be an objective journalist there, but he's a total dem operative.

00:19:38.640 So the odds that something like this would come up are very small.

00:19:42.580 Trump has to use his time at the mic to ask Kamala Harris that.

00:19:46.900 And so, you know, some issue comes up, some social issue, and Trump can give whatever answer he wants.

00:19:52.400 I'm sure it'll be great.

00:19:53.000 But then at the end there, I mean, this is debating 101, and I'm sure he'll be great at it.

00:19:59.640 He can just say, listen, look, I think it's terrible what people are doing to kids.

00:20:04.180 You know, they're castrating these kids.

00:20:05.740 They're sterilizing kids, going into the schools, taking kids away from parents because they want to pretend that a little boy can be a little girl. 0.72

00:20:13.160 This is the sort of thing that Kamala Harris supports. 1.00

00:20:16.280 So, look, Kamala, maybe you disagree with that.

00:20:19.300 I'm not even doing a Trump because I want to make sure the words are very precise here.

00:20:22.840 Look, Kamala, maybe you support that.

00:20:25.000 Maybe you say you don't support that.

00:20:25.880 So I just want to know, what's your opinion?

00:20:28.100 Do you think that we should be pushing transgender surgeries and procedures on kids? 1.00

00:20:36.220 See what she says.

00:20:37.060 She'll try to avoid the question, but her running away from the question will look terrible for her.

00:20:40.660 Or she'll answer it, and we gain there too.

00:20:43.260 This is an important issue.

00:20:46.060 It seems kind of frivolous and sensationalist and everything.

00:20:49.160 No, it gets down to really serious questions about human nature, about people's judgment.

00:20:53.520 Now, some Democrats are upset with Harris right now and with her campaign.

00:20:57.200 And the reason they're upset is because the nearest thing to new ideas that Kamala is pushing are ideas she stole from Trump. 0.95

00:21:05.380 The clearest example being the Harris campaign's new effort to get rid of taxes on tips.

00:21:13.260 And she came out just some days ago and said, this is my new campaign platform.

00:21:18.680 We're going to end taxes on tips.

00:21:20.360 And even the White House reporters asked Karine Jean-Pierre, they said, is this a new idea?

00:21:25.440 Or did you guys just like totally copy Donald Trump's homework?

00:21:28.320 Did you totally steal it from the Trump campaign?

00:21:30.060 And even Karine Jean-Pierre, she said, well, I don't know.

00:21:33.100 It's not a new idea exactly.

00:21:34.660 But anyway, we're pushing it now.

00:21:35.880 We're on the no tax on tip side.

00:21:37.380 But this puts certain Democrats like Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden or Debbie Stabenow from Michigan or Lloyd Doggett, who's the senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee in the lower chamber.

00:21:54.560 This puts them in a bad position because this is the problem when your party is inclined toward caprice and totalitarianism, when they're not really guided by any enduring principles beyond, you know, if it feels good, do it, liberation, power, give me more power.

00:22:11.840 When the will to power is really all that motivates you, then your positions could change radically day by day.

00:22:20.560 What happened here is Trump came out.

00:22:22.160 He said, this is my policy proposal.

00:22:24.060 The Democrats, like good lieutenants, come out.

00:22:26.620 They say, Trump says this is good, so we say this is bad.

00:22:31.000 And then Kamala comes out and says, actually, Trump's idea, that's my idea now.

00:22:35.720 Then the compliant media and the propagandists come out.

00:22:38.140 They say, yeah, that's Kamala's idea. 0.99

00:22:39.380 But then this handful of Dems, who were just, they were just being good, loyal Democrats attacking whatever Trump wanted to do. 0.98

00:22:44.960 Now these guys look like jerks because now they're opposed to the Kamala Harris policy. 0.99

00:22:49.140 That's what happens, man, when you work for Stalin. 0.99

00:22:53.040 You know, that's what happens when you work for political leaders who are guided solely by the arbitrary use of their will rather than by any objective and reliable conception of justice.

00:23:06.620 There's so much more to say.

00:23:08.180 First, though, go to goodranchers.com.

00:23:48.660 I don't know how they keep the doors open because the company's growing by leaps and bounds.

00:23:58.940 A few things, maybe if I run out, you know, we've got to go to the store.

00:24:01.680 But the problem is the prices are so good.

00:24:29.920 Speaking of arbitrary power, perhaps the organization other than the federal government

00:24:36.560 that is best able to wield arbitrary power in the world today is probably Google.

00:24:45.560 Google controls the internet.

00:24:47.500 Google controls something like 90% of the flow of information around the internet.

00:24:52.560 Google controls advertising on the internet, which means that Google controls the media.

00:24:59.460 Google controls, has a lot of sway with corporations all over the world.

00:25:03.800 Google controls the biggest video platform that many of you might be watching this show

00:25:08.220 or a highly censored version of this show, to our point.

00:25:11.340 And right now, Google controls everything.

00:25:15.740 But Google's not the government.

00:25:18.300 But Google's not really a private enterprise.

00:25:20.120 So what is it?

00:25:20.840 Well, what we do know is that the DOJ is deliberating, breaking up Google.

00:25:26.860 And they're doing this because of a court ruling that has found that Google is guilty of monopoly,

00:25:35.000 of illegally monopolizing online search and search text advertising markets.

00:25:40.720 As someone who is very much in this world, I can tell you they own it, especially the advertising.

00:25:47.860 They own it.

00:25:48.400 Facebook's got a little touch, but it's Google.

00:25:51.680 Google owns online advertising.

00:25:53.860 And Google obviously owns search, so Google owns the internet.

00:25:57.520 The court says that's an illegal monopoly.

00:26:00.120 Now the DOJ is considering breaking it up.

00:26:02.580 And you are seeing a huge variety of reactions to this, even on the political right.

00:26:11.560 This is one of those issues that is going to separate the conservatives from the libertarians.

00:26:16.240 You know, sometimes conservatives and libertarians, we are in lockstep, you know, defending gun rights or something.

00:26:23.020 We're together.

00:26:24.620 Defending the right to life.

00:26:27.700 Well, actually, that's not.

00:26:28.520 Some libertarians are pro-abortion.

00:26:30.060 But that actually leads to the separate group.

00:26:34.860 This issue, how you come down on this issue, will separate the conservatives from the libertarians.

00:26:38.340 And further, it will separate the real libertarians from the group that we call the lullbertarians, you know,

00:26:43.600 or the left-wing libertarians, the kind of, the libertarians who end up just flacking for the libs.

00:26:50.800 The real conservatives are going to applaud this possibility.

00:26:56.280 Good.

00:26:57.060 Google should be broken up.

00:26:58.180 Google has way too much power.

00:27:01.200 Google is wielding that power wrongly.

00:27:05.420 Google is wielding that power unjustly for bad ends.

00:27:09.380 And Google is opposed to the common good in so much of its practice.

00:27:14.460 So, got to break that stuff up.

00:27:15.800 Libertarians might say, hey, look, it's a free market, man.

00:27:22.500 If you don't like Google, build your own Google.

00:27:25.360 You know, we can never use the government, the evil government, to break up a beautiful, noble corporation, you know,

00:27:34.320 an instantiation of the true exalted principles of the free market.

00:27:39.540 Why, yes, Sindar Pichai and Google, they're basically like a utopia.

00:27:45.200 They're like Galt's Gulch and all hail the great corporations.

00:27:49.240 Sometimes you hear that from libertarians.

00:27:51.480 And then you get the lullbertarians, you know, the left libertarians who just shill for the regime.

00:27:57.700 And they'll come up with whatever answer conduces to leftism.

00:28:01.860 But I don't mean to make fun of the libertarian position here too much.

00:28:05.860 Because, yeah, you have to be worried about the government overstepping.

00:28:11.700 I'm all for a robust and effective and efficient government within the proper sphere of the government with protection.

00:28:17.020 You know, you don't want it to be arbitrary and capricious.

00:28:19.200 You don't want to be totalitarian or something.

00:28:20.580 But the people who are defending Google here, I think they just don't know anything about Google.

00:28:29.460 The people who are defending Google on free market grounds, the people who are preposterously suggesting that if you don't like Google's monopoly, build your own Google.

00:28:37.960 I think they seem to forget that Google was started by the government.

00:28:42.600 When Google began, its founders, Brin and Page, were on a comp sci team at Stanford.

00:28:54.060 This institute, this research team, received a ton of funding from the Massive Digital Data Systems Program.

00:29:05.680 The MDDS program was managed by the Central Intelligence Agency.

00:29:10.960 It was a CIA program and the National Security Agency.

00:29:15.360 Google has always had a very, very cozy relationship with the federal government.

00:29:19.840 Lots of military contractors, lots of intelligence contractors, spooks in and out of that organization.

00:29:26.580 This is not exactly a mom and pop on Main Street, okay?

00:29:29.080 So, unfortunately, what the free market kind of argument, you know, build your own Google argument ends up doing is it protects all the worst parts of this pseudo-crony capitalism.

00:29:45.160 No, no, Google does all the dirty work of the government. 1.00

00:29:53.240 When the government doesn't want to get its hands too dirty, when the government doesn't want to overtly censor you for being a conservative, when the government doesn't want to overtly surveil you for whatever reason,

00:30:03.420 they'll get their allies in the supposedly private sector to go out and do it for them.

00:30:10.100 But the government will also massively fund these groups and work with them very closely.

00:30:14.320 There will be people in government who go into Google and then from Google back into government like a revolving door.

00:30:19.560 Or, break it up, baby, we see the effects of this.

00:30:23.620 You can either break it up because, in principle, you're afraid of private enterprise having too much power or government having too much power.

00:30:32.000 In the case of Google, it's kind of both.

00:30:33.600 Or you can just break it up because the effect of it in America is bad.

00:30:37.160 They push crazy lib stuff.

00:30:38.560 Every day, even on, like, Christmas, you know, on major holidays, they're always promoting in their Google Doodle some radical left-wing thing.

00:30:46.040 We know the politics of Google.

00:30:47.380 We know that virtually all of their political donations go toward Democrats.

00:30:50.980 We know that they want to rig the election for the Democrats.

00:30:53.120 So, yeah, break them up.

00:30:54.520 Fine by me.

00:30:55.460 Now, speaking of shadowy, powerful cabals, one in five voters and one in three Republicans thinks that the FBI is behind the Trump assassination attempt.

00:31:07.500 Why would they think this?

00:31:10.160 Probably they would think this because the director of the FBI lied about what happened.

00:31:15.280 That would be one reason.

00:31:16.340 One, because it just seems implausible that Trump could be permitted to be shot in the head.

00:31:24.580 It just seems everyone was tracking the shooter for a long time, potentially hours before the rally.

00:31:31.380 And then they just let Trump go on stage.

00:31:34.720 People were calling out saying there's a guy on that roof.

00:31:36.980 He's got a gun.

00:31:37.740 Trump was permitted to remain on stage.

00:31:39.660 A lot of that seems implausible to people.

00:31:43.560 But then you could say, well, maybe it's just incompetence.

00:31:45.400 Maybe it was this, maybe it was that.

00:31:46.260 Then we found out Trump was denied extra security by the U.S. Secret Service.

00:31:51.460 That's kind of weird.

00:31:52.060 By the Biden administration.

00:31:53.400 Okay.

00:31:54.120 But then the Secret Service lied about that.

00:31:57.560 And then the FBI director, testifying before Congress, lied and said, we don't know if Trump was shot with a bullet.

00:32:03.420 The FBI itself then issued a statement saying, no, we do know Trump was hit by a bullet. 0.99

00:32:09.320 So is the FBI director, Christopher Wray, just the dumbest guy on planet Earth, the most ignorant man ever to hold that job? 0.99

00:32:15.400 Or was he lying? 1.00

00:32:17.740 Or was, I don't know.

00:32:19.060 I do know that one in five voters think the FBI tried to murder Trump, and one in three Republicans thinks that.

00:32:26.080 I'm not saying that I think that.

00:32:28.540 I'm reading what voters are thinking, and I'm pointing out, I'm defending the voters who think that.

00:32:35.480 Because it's weird, sure, that the Secret Service and the FBI both lied about it.

00:32:40.860 It's weird that it was allowed to happen in the first place.

00:32:43.680 And furthermore, the very fact that voters think this presents a major, major problem for the FBI and for the government.

00:32:54.800 We were touching on this a little bit last night backstage live at the Ryman.

00:32:59.000 The government is the government because it claims authority.

00:33:05.660 That's what makes the government the government.

00:33:07.360 It's not because the founding fathers were the most perfect men who ever walked the earth, and they waved their magic wands and said, now this government is legitimate.

00:33:18.320 It's not because of some piece of parchment called the Declaration of Independence.

00:33:22.340 It's not even because of some piece of parchment called the Constitution.

00:33:26.540 The government is the government because you obey the government.

00:33:28.860 Even if you hate the government, even if you don't think Joe Biden's alive anymore, you will follow the laws we assent to the authority of the state.

00:33:39.420 Now, why do we do that?

00:33:42.140 We do that because they'll put us in jail if we don't, or take all of our money, or otherwise make our lives difficult.

00:33:47.420 That's one reason.

00:33:48.700 But the other reason we do it is because the government makes a plausible claim to represent justice.

00:33:53.620 This is why Christians say, this is why we read in Scripture, that the government is actually good in that God institutes the government for our own good.

00:34:03.220 Because we need to have order.

00:34:05.800 We need to have the enforcement of laws.

00:34:08.320 We need to have some kind of peace and stability in order to achieve our natural ends, feeding our families, having families, and having kids, and to achieve our natural ends.

00:34:18.240 It's difficult to pray and live out a religious life in the midst of carnage and civil war and anarchy.

00:34:24.680 So the state is a good thing.

00:34:26.100 It's implemented for our good.

00:34:27.760 And it means that the ruler in the Christian understanding, and really in the classical understanding of the state, the ruler has limits on his power.

00:34:38.400 Because he is, in paganism, he's bound to the gods.

00:34:42.840 Or in Christendom, he's bound to the true God.

00:34:46.060 He has a duty to him.

00:34:48.680 And he's doing a job for the people.

00:34:51.560 It's not that the people exist for the ruler.

00:34:53.000 The ruler exists to serve the people.

00:34:55.300 And he's doing that because he has been entrusted with this authority by God.

00:34:58.880 And where do we get the laws from?

00:35:01.500 Is it just from the whims and caprices of the ruler?

00:35:03.460 No.

00:35:03.900 We get it from the moral order that we can perceive, because the natural law is inscribed on every human heart, and through our faculties of reason.

00:35:10.220 And we get it from justice.

00:35:13.140 You know, the ruler is a representative of justice.

00:35:18.340 The problem is, when the people lose faith in the justice department, this is the worst part of the government for people to lose faith in, then the authority of the government goes away.

00:35:34.220 This is the difference.

00:35:36.040 In modernity, we're very confused about a lot of political things.

00:35:40.480 But the classical thinkers understood there's a distinction between a king, a monarch, and a tyrant.

00:35:47.800 And what's the difference?

00:35:49.560 Does anyone really think that Charles III is a tyrant?

00:35:54.880 No, I don't think so.

00:35:55.980 That the king of Spain is a tyrant?

00:35:57.800 No.

00:35:58.880 But they are kings.

00:36:00.060 So what's the difference?

00:36:01.740 The king rules for the common good, and he rules for justice.

00:36:07.780 The tyrant rules for his own private interest, and he rules based on his arbitrary will.

00:36:12.300 The increasingly arbitrary will that the left seems to be exercising day by day, changing their minds on all manner of political issues, lying, saying one thing and doing another, bringing the media along, and attacking and potentially even establishing the conditions to kill their political opponents.

00:36:35.760 That's a big problem.

00:36:36.880 It's not just about we need to drain the swamp or something.

00:36:39.160 When this number of people think that the FBI could possibly have tried to kill Donald Trump, you're dealing with an existential crisis of the legitimacy of the regime.

00:36:53.000 Today is the day, folks.

00:36:54.100 Presale tickets are available right now at miracist.com for Matt's new movie.

00:36:58.000 Matt asked the question, no one dares to ask.

00:37:01.240 Well, a lot of people have dared to ask it, but Matt does it in a really incisive and funny way.

00:37:05.760 And so we need your help.

00:37:07.080 The more presale tickets we sell, the more theaters we'll show the movie.

00:37:10.760 Your ticket purchase is a direct blow against the leftist narrative.

00:37:14.900 Am I Racist hits theaters September 13th.

00:37:17.220 Go to miracist.com right now and buy those tickets.

00:37:21.520 My favorite comment yesterday is from Joshua D. Geis.

00:37:25.580 Her moment after three and a half years in the oh ever so lowly position of vice president.

00:37:31.340 Yeah, this is Time Magazine.

00:37:32.240 This is her moment, reintroducing Kamala, reintroducing her.

00:37:37.780 Hey, everybody, meet Kamala Harris.

00:37:39.420 She's the vice president.

00:37:41.060 She was a senator.

00:37:42.200 She ran for president. 0.93

00:37:43.420 She was the attorney general of California.

00:37:44.940 People are supposed to know who she is. 0.99

00:37:47.120 But no, no, no.

00:37:47.660 They knew one version of her that it was convenient to know at the time.

00:37:53.820 But now that she's running for president and the media want her to be president, now they've got to invent a new version of Kamala. 1.00

00:38:00.100 And we're in the process of that.

00:38:01.340 That's why she's changing all her positions. 1.00

00:38:02.820 Now, speaking of people trying to kill Trump, this is a story from last week, but I want to get to it.

00:38:09.340 A Pakistani man with alleged ties to Iran has been arrested and charged for trying to kill out Trump, to carry out multiple assassinations, one of them being killing Trump.

00:38:23.180 The case was just revealed by the Justice Department.

00:38:27.460 There have been a number of attempted assassinations of Trump.

00:38:34.320 A lot of powerful people are trying to kill Trump.

00:38:38.700 So why is the story coming out now?

00:38:40.760 I think in part the story is coming out now because the liberal establishment wants to prepare Americans for a war with Iran as Iran is threatening Israel and the United States is not going to let Israel fight a war on its own.

00:38:51.900 So it's just kind of baked into U.S. policy that we will defend a number of nations.

00:39:00.020 But look, we're out there spending a ton of money and military equipment defending Ukraine.

00:39:04.120 And we're going to defend Israel, which we have a longer relationship with and a stronger relationship with.

00:39:08.760 So in part, I think the reason the story is being leaked right now is just to say, hey, look, hey, remember, Iran's really bad.

00:39:15.960 And they even tried to kill Trump.

00:39:17.180 So get ready to go to war with Iran, which I think is cynical. 0.75

00:39:19.840 But it's my only explanation because there have been plenty of attempts to kill Donald Trump before.

00:39:23.500 There have been plenty of terrible things Iran has done that when it was convenient for the liberal establishment, they downplay them. 0.96

00:39:30.060 They don't talk about it.

00:39:30.680 They send pallets of cash to the mullahs in Iran.

00:39:33.120 They forget about that.

00:39:33.880 You don't have to worry about it. 0.77

00:39:34.820 Now, however, oh, yes, OK, Donald, Donald, they tried to kill Trump again. 0.98

00:39:40.720 Yeah, OK, the libs are trying to kill Trump, too.

00:39:42.880 You don't make as big a deal about that. 0.85

00:39:45.960 The president, Joe Biden, is establishing the premises to kill Trump when he says that Trump poses an existential threat to the country.

00:39:54.880 Joe Biden speaks in much harsher terms about Donald Trump than about Iran or really any foreign adversary.

00:40:02.180 So this I have no doubt that this happened. 0.96

00:40:05.040 I have no doubt that Iran wants to kill Trump. 0.93

00:40:06.500 Iran talks about how they want to kill Trump because Trump killed Soleimani, the chief Iranian general. 0.84

00:40:12.880 So, yeah, sure.

00:40:13.940 I'm sure that's happening.

00:40:15.020 What are Republicans going to do as a result of this?

00:40:19.060 Well, you know, get a little tough on Iran.

00:40:21.020 Sure, that's good.

00:40:22.000 Get a little tough on our adversaries.

00:40:23.700 But for what purpose?

00:40:25.280 For peace.

00:40:27.760 And that's what separates the Republicans here from the Democrats.

00:40:30.700 It hasn't always been the case, but in this election, it does.

00:40:34.880 Republicans still need to run on a platform of peace.

00:40:38.300 And part of this is just that blessed are the peacemakers.

00:40:41.820 And part of this is that it distinguishes the Republicans from Biden.

00:40:47.260 Under Trump, the world was relatively pretty peaceful.

00:40:52.020 Under Biden, wars have broken out all over the place.

00:40:54.560 The American people want restraint.

00:40:58.660 The American people are tired of endless wars.

00:41:01.880 This is true on the left and on the right.

00:41:05.220 The anti-war faction on the right is growing in size.

00:41:07.940 And there is still a sizable anti-war faction on the left.

00:41:12.780 And we could win some of those voters.

00:41:15.100 And it's the traditional Republican position.

00:41:17.100 Foreign policy restraint was the old school GOP position until really the 2000s.

00:41:24.820 Foreign policy adventurism was the domain of the left.

00:41:28.080 Restraint has a powerful appeal.

00:41:33.760 Not isolation.

00:41:35.680 I mean, really, this is what Reagan said with peace through strength.

00:41:40.100 Reagan was a restrained president.

00:41:42.100 Even when the Beirut barracks were blown up and a lot of American servicemen were killed,

00:41:49.520 even then, Reagan pulled the troops.

00:41:53.260 He showed a great deal of restraint.

00:41:55.700 And he was a very popular Republican president.

00:41:58.080 And the nearest model for the Trump presidency.

00:42:01.420 That's another way.

00:42:03.100 Any way you can find little wedges, any ways to just pry off 10,000 voters here,

00:42:07.820 100,000 voters there from Kamala, we need to take those options.

00:42:12.220 Now, speaking of narrow appeal and pulling little votes away from Kamala and maybe Trump,

00:42:20.720 RFK Jr., according to reports, has been trying to meet with the Harris campaign

00:42:26.360 to discuss a cabinet position.

00:42:30.840 This being reported here on MSN, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tried to meet with Kamala Harris

00:42:37.960 to discuss a cabinet job.

00:42:39.420 Wait a second.

00:42:40.440 I thought that RFK Jr. was just in the race to try to get a position in the Trump administration.

00:42:45.860 Well, maybe he probably would like a position in the Trump administration too.

00:42:48.760 But wait, he'd work for Harris?

00:42:50.040 Yeah, he'd probably work for Harris too.

00:42:51.540 Hold on.

00:42:52.020 And he's going to pull some votes from Trump?

00:42:53.560 He might.

00:42:53.920 He's going to pull some votes from Harris?

00:42:55.040 Yeah, he will.

00:42:55.860 Probably more votes from Harris than Trump.

00:42:57.300 But yeah, of course.

00:42:59.720 Of course he's meeting with both sides.

00:43:00.980 He's not going to be president.

00:43:03.680 But he could pull enough votes to matter in the election.

00:43:07.620 So he's going to trade those votes for leverage.

00:43:09.180 And he's the perfect guy to be talking to both sides.

00:43:11.420 Because Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is half a lib and half not a lib.

00:43:14.660 I wouldn't say he's really a conservative on any issue.

00:43:18.500 But he's heterodox for the Democrat Party.

00:43:22.200 He's a little bit out there.

00:43:23.520 And so, yeah, he's going to play both sides.

00:43:26.160 And there's a little appeal to that too.

00:43:28.400 If Bobby Kennedy Jr. could get 4% of the vote, that's the election.

00:43:33.700 Depending on where he's getting those votes. 0.80

00:43:37.220 And so it's silly.

00:43:38.980 We can laugh at the Kennedy campaign.

00:43:40.360 I mean, I would be trying to work those voters.

00:43:44.880 Or at the very least, I'd be trying to push Bobby Kennedy to the left.

00:43:47.700 So that he's more inclined to pull voters from Harris.

00:43:51.400 Now, speaking of these polls, how do things stand?

00:43:54.400 You're going to hear a lot of doom and gloom that Kamala is rising in the polls.

00:43:59.520 And it's true. 0.56

00:44:00.800 I'm sure she is rising in the polls a little bit.

00:44:02.060 According to one poll just came out, Daily Mail JL Partners survey.

00:44:06.440 Trump is still ahead.

00:44:07.460 Some polls are showing that Harris is ahead and pulling ahead in the swing states.

00:44:11.160 This poll says Trump is ahead nationally by two points.

00:44:15.220 And everyone's going to argue, no, but this poll is better than this poll.

00:44:18.920 And Nate Silver said this.

00:44:20.300 But Rasmussen said this.

00:44:21.620 And whatever.

00:44:23.820 The only thing that matters right now is the upcoming debate.

00:44:28.780 And spending money.

00:44:30.020 Spending money does matter.

00:44:31.980 The nuts and bolts of the campaign to just get the message in front of people.

00:44:35.360 Kamala Harris has been blanketing the internet with her ads, especially YouTube. 1.00

00:44:39.580 The Trump campaign needs to get the message out there, I think.

00:44:42.920 But beyond that, beyond the kind of bare minimum campaigning, the only thing that matters right now is the debate.

00:44:48.400 It's the only thing that could really change anything.

00:44:51.580 The media are never going to change and become fair.

00:44:56.860 Kamala is not going to voluntarily speak to the press.

00:44:59.620 She's terrible at it. 0.86

00:45:00.500 Whatever problems you have with Trump, you know, the man is at a somewhat advanced age.

00:45:08.020 He's reached an age of maturity.

00:45:09.500 He's probably not changing all that much in his comportment.

00:45:13.060 So the only thing, unless they try to shoot him again, the only thing that could change right now is the debate.

00:45:20.020 So I don't worry about those polls.

00:45:21.660 It's like watching the polls right now is like watching your stock portfolio during market turmoil.

00:45:28.460 All it's going to do is drive you crazy.

00:45:30.340 There's really not very much to be done.

00:45:32.600 Sure, could Trump swap out some staffers?

00:45:35.060 I guess.

00:45:35.540 Sure, could the Trump campaign be spending more money on ads?

00:45:38.160 Yeah, they probably should.

00:45:39.320 Sure, sure, sure.

00:45:42.520 None of that's, nothing is really going to move the needle like the debate.

00:45:46.440 Sometimes you've just got to wait it out.

00:45:48.640 You could try to get more debates.

00:45:49.720 That would be a good thing too.

00:45:50.580 But just yelling louder or something isn't going to change the fundamentals.

00:45:57.760 The day-by-day poll numbers don't really matter.

00:46:00.220 We just need to make sure that the debates happen, that Trump wins, that one hopes there are multiple of them,

00:46:06.900 and the message gets out before the early voting kicks in because that's another way that the Democrats have tried to rig the election.

00:46:12.740 That's what really matters right now.

00:46:15.960 Okay, there's much, much more to say, but you know me.

00:46:21.340 I'm a tease, and I'm going to refrain from saying it.

00:46:24.720 Today is Theology Thursday.

00:47:27.700 The word inherent is challenging there.

00:47:29.660 I want to rename the George Washington Monument to the George Floyd Monument.
