00:00:37.580 Good afternoon.

00:00:39.060 I'm Rachel Maddow.

00:00:41.280 The Daily Wire has just broken some news.

00:00:44.240 This has just come out.

00:00:48.800 This is incredible.

00:00:50.000 Democrats' fact-free demagoguery of illegal alien shelters is not working because the Obama administration,

00:00:55.400 Democrats' fact-free demagoguery of illegal alien shelters is not working because the Obama administration,

00:01:20.000 did exactly the same thing, did exactly the same thing, and nobody cared.

00:01:24.060 CNN and MSNBC and fake Republican pundit strategists are...

00:01:29.320 Oh, I'm going to have to hand this off.

00:01:34.200 I'm sorry.

00:01:35.260 I'm sorry.

00:01:35.740 That does this for us tonight.

00:01:37.240 We'll see you again tomorrow.

00:01:38.900 Now it is time for the Michael Knowles Show with Michael Knowles.

00:01:41.840 Wow, that was a really powerful opening from Rachel Maddow.

00:01:52.160 That was a really...

00:01:53.840 Really good stuff.

00:01:58.760 We're going to get to more of that.

00:02:01.140 We're going to have to play that again in a second.

00:02:02.500 That was really powerful.

00:02:03.500 This totally contrived immigration issue, by the way, is already having major ramifications for the Republican Party.

00:02:11.400 The GOP has lost another fake Republican from the ranks, Steve Schmidt.

00:02:16.440 We're going to analyze that later.

00:02:18.700 Then we're going to talk about Chesterton's Fence and how Chesterton's Fence is getting 10 feet higher.

00:02:23.620 Finally, we're going to bring on Derek Hunter.

00:02:25.580 He is the author of the new book, Outrage Incorporated, How the Liberal Media Ruined Science, Journalism, and Hollywood.

00:02:33.120 He'll be coming on very quickly.

00:02:35.760 Okay, before we get to my doppelganger, look how hard I work for you.

00:02:42.120 I've got to jump over to MSNBC, then I've got to come back here and do this show, all in a day's work.

00:02:46.440 I've got to cry, I've got to recover.

00:02:48.020 Before we get to playing that again, we have to thank Lending Club.

00:03:48.100 You know, when I was younger, through a series of unfortunate events, I inherited my house.

00:03:53.040 And those houses are money pits. 0.92

00:04:32.400 Okay.

00:04:33.940 We're going to have to play Rachel again because it was so moving.

00:04:38.900 It was so emotional.

00:04:39.880 Can we cut back to my doppelganger on MSNBC?

00:04:42.500 The AP has just broken some new news.

00:04:45.540 This has just come out from the Associated Press.

00:04:47.720 This is incredible.

00:04:51.840 Trump administration officials have been sending babies and other young children.

00:04:56.640 Oh.

00:04:57.660 Hold on a minute.

00:05:03.680 To at least three.

00:05:10.420 Can we put up the graphic of this?

00:05:14.480 Thank you.

00:05:15.240 Do we have it?

00:05:15.860 No.

00:05:16.020 Three tender aid shelters in South Texas.

00:05:19.760 Lawyers and medical providers.

00:05:21.780 Just.

00:05:23.600 I think I'm going to have to hand this off.

00:05:25.780 Yeah.

00:05:27.740 Sorry.

00:05:28.560 That does a frustrating night.

00:05:29.520 We'll see you again tomorrow.

00:05:30.400 Now it is time for the last word with Lawrence O'Donnell where he is live in Brownsville, Texas.

00:05:36.040 Thank you very much, Rachel.

00:05:37.440 We just got word of.

00:05:38.920 You know, I hate to criticize my twin here.

00:05:41.980 I hate to attack family.

00:05:43.920 That is one of the worst performances I have ever seen as an actor.

00:05:47.920 Listen, I've been in these indie movies and little things.

00:05:51.700 I'm not saying that, you know, I've been in the great movies of all time or Citizen Kane.

00:05:55.480 I mean, every performance I've done is Sidney Poitier compared to what she just did on MSNBC. 0.78

00:06:02.280 It was so unbelievable.

00:06:04.360 It just wasn't a credible performance.

00:06:06.360 But I don't know.

00:06:06.780 Maybe that's why she makes more money than me. 1.00

00:06:08.120 She's at least willing to go out there and humiliate herself and pretend to cry over this totally contrived issue. 1.00

00:06:13.720 Why is this a totally contrived issue?

00:06:16.000 Why?

00:06:16.360 Because they've really been ringing this one for all it's worth out there on the left, even though we present them with facts, don't we?

00:06:22.480 So she says, oh, gosh.

00:06:24.100 Oh, no, it's so awful.

00:06:26.400 Well, she wasn't shedding those tears when Barack Obama was doing exactly the same thing, was she?

00:06:31.140 Unfortunately for the, you know, someone, I think it was Ann Coulter, said that the immigrant children are crisis actors.

00:06:37.980 I'm not saying that.

00:06:38.880 But Rachel Maddow definitely is a crisis actor because that just isn't true.

00:06:44.840 She wasn't crying when Barack Obama was doing these things.

00:06:47.720 Under the Obama administration, and we have the photos to prove it, folks, Barack Obama put these kids in shelters, twice as many kids as Donald Trump has.

00:06:56.160 You saw all those photos of kids sleeping under sinks, packed, you know, a bunch of them in a room,

00:07:02.240 wrapped up in those little tinfoil blankets that they give you on marathons that make you look like a twice-baked potato.

00:07:08.260 You know, all of these kids piled on top of one another during the Obama administration.

00:07:12.320 Not a peep from Rachel Maddow.

00:07:14.280 Not a, nary, a tear fell from her face.

00:07:16.780 Isn't that?

00:07:17.240 Luckily for us now, we've got the proper vessel, so when they start pouring, we can start sipping them, and they're all delicious.

00:07:22.660 But, you know, they're all handcuffed.

00:07:24.580 You would even see some photos under the Obama administration.

00:07:27.180 It would say, juvenile holding cell.

00:07:29.640 So, just in case it wasn't clear, the Democrats tried to spin it.

00:07:32.900 These are holding cells for children.

00:07:35.480 They even had some that said female juvenile holding cell, which is really the great outrage of the Obama administration because he was assuming people's gender.

00:07:43.900 How outrageous.

00:07:44.800 I mean, that's the worst crime of all, isn't it?

00:07:46.660 I can't believe the intersectional left didn't raise a ruckus about that.

00:07:50.220 What else in the Obama administration?

00:07:51.440 Well, there was an immigrant, illegal alien, Nancy Luna, who sued for a wrongful death, sued the Obama administration in 2014 for the wrongful death of her husband because he had type 2 diabetes.

00:08:03.660 He was being held by the Obama administration, wasn't given medical care.

00:08:06.780 Was Rachel crying about that?

00:08:07.820 I don't remember Rachel shedding tears about that.

00:08:09.980 She didn't recount that to us at our family reunion, did she?

00:08:12.780 The Barack Obama administration admitted 16 admitted MS-13 members into the country.

00:08:19.820 So he let them all just come right in.

00:08:22.180 These were people who we knew had affiliation with MS-13.

00:08:25.940 He placed over a dozen kids in the custody of human traffickers, known human traffickers.

00:08:31.360 Why?

00:08:31.680 Because he didn't perform a background check.

00:08:33.660 The Obama administration didn't perform a background check.

00:08:36.620 What else?

00:08:37.420 Oh, yes.

00:08:38.420 So there have been a handful of cases in the Trump administration, relatively a handful of cases.

00:08:44.340 We're talking about a couple thousand kids who are being held because what else are we going to do with them?

00:08:48.300 We can't send them right back immediately.

00:08:50.540 We can't let them into the country unaccompanied and given amnesty or allowed to break our laws and flat our laws. 1.00

00:08:57.980 Under Obama, there were over 100,000 cases between 2010 and 2016, immigrant cases that separated families.

00:09:06.340 100,000.

00:09:07.940 Not a tear from Rachel Maddow.

00:09:10.020 Isn't that strange?

00:09:11.000 In 2014 alone, by the way, this is a really funny irony because now he's saying, these kids are coming in and they're holding them.

00:09:17.740 They're encouraging kids to come in and they're going to be held.

00:09:20.200 In 2014 alone, around 70,000 unaccompanied minors crossed into the United States illegally.

00:09:27.360 70,000.

00:09:28.600 And the left then, it's very hard to keep track of these things.

00:09:31.940 The left then was encouraging it.

00:09:33.840 They said, yeah, come on over here.

00:09:35.440 Yeah, then you go to a detention center.

00:09:36.900 Yeah, come on over.

00:09:37.540 Now, it's the worst crime in the history of the country.

00:09:40.420 Why?

00:09:40.740 Because they don't really believe it.

00:09:42.480 They don't really believe it.

00:09:44.280 If they really believed it, Rachel Maddow would have really been crying there.

00:09:48.220 And more to the point, she would have cried in 2014 when Barack Obama was doing these exact same things.

00:09:55.640 I want to get to what this speaks to because this is the essential aspect of our time, Chesterton's fence.

00:10:02.340 This is the reformers.

00:10:03.380 The reformers who yell, do something, do something.

00:10:05.380 Tear this down, change this, do something, right?

00:10:08.540 Before we get to Chesterton's fence and make Chesterton's fence 10 feet higher, folks, we've got to bring on Derek.

00:10:13.780 We have a good guest.

00:10:14.980 He has a book out that really is proper timing.

00:10:18.080 The book is called Outrage Incorporated, How the Liberal Mob Ruined Science, Journalism, and Hollywood.

00:10:23.800 Derek, thank you for being here.

00:10:25.040 Thanks for having me, Michael.

00:10:26.700 Yeah, I couldn't have picked the timing any better, but I'm still jealous of your book.

00:10:30.300 I wish I had thought of the research you did.

00:10:33.380 It had to have started when you were a teen.

00:10:35.080 The research started from when I was a little boy.

00:10:37.980 I've been researching that book all of my life.

00:10:39.920 The timing there was very well, too, because it was something about early 2017 really made people understand the important thesis in my book,

00:10:48.720 Reasons to Vote for Democrats, A Comprehensive Guide.

00:10:50.800 But, you know, listen, I always knew you were a gentleman.

00:10:53.600 Now I know that you're a scholar as well.

00:10:56.200 This book talks about the outrage that we're seeing pouring out.

00:11:00.400 I mean, my leftist years tumbler has been overflowing for the last few days.

00:11:05.100 Everybody is outraged all the time.

00:11:06.960 When did it start?

00:11:08.220 Why did it start?

00:11:09.300 Well, there's always been an element of it on the fringe of the left.

00:11:12.020 They've just been the angry left ready to take to the streets.

00:11:14.100 But the main part of the party, the establishment of the party, kind of kept them at bay.

00:11:19.540 Now they're the base.

00:11:21.240 So they've got a ready-made mob of unwashed mutants ready to march at a moment's notice.

00:11:27.640 The day after Trump was inaugurated, they took to the streets.

00:11:30.420 He hadn't done anything, but they knew he had to be opposed.

00:11:33.240 Two weeks later, they marched for science.

00:11:35.180 He hadn't done anything, but they knew he was going to ruin everything.

00:11:39.280 It is an amazing feat of marketing to sit there and tell somebody,

00:11:45.040 be angry all the time and have it work.

00:11:46.820 I wish I had that ability.

00:11:48.620 But the reason behind it is if you keep people angry or you keep people scared, Michael,

00:11:54.800 you're not thinking rationally.

00:11:55.980 You've been mad at your remote control or you've stubbed your toe on your coffee table or something

00:11:59.800 and you've cursed or thrown something in a fit of anger.

00:12:02.860 You're not thinking rationally.

00:12:04.100 You wouldn't normally do that.

00:12:05.840 But if you're angry or you're not thinking, and that is what the left has to do to keep

00:12:11.140 their base motivated, because otherwise, what are they offering come November?

00:12:14.460 Bernie Sanders, crazy, a job for everybody.

00:12:16.760 Well, we've got basically full employment, so he's missed the boat on that.

00:12:19.440 We already have a job for everybody.

00:12:21.360 Medicare for everybody.

00:12:22.720 Well, we just found out that in 2026, that's going bankrupt.

00:12:25.480 So if somebody's willing to give you a first-class ticket on the Titanic, you're still going

00:12:29.220 to hit the iceberg.

00:12:29.860 So they've got to keep people from thinking rationally.

00:12:33.080 And it's been on display this week.

00:12:36.940 I love the Democrats running down there saying Donald Trump is using these poor, sweet, nourishing

00:12:40.340 children as human props while they're making sure that they're framed properly in front

00:12:44.620 of these poor, sweet, nourishing children that they're using as human props.

00:12:49.840 It's unbelievable.

00:12:51.800 It's crass.

00:12:52.820 It's ballsy.

00:12:53.780 But it's not surprising in the least.

00:12:55.480 I'm just jealous that they're so good at it.

00:12:57.020 I wish I could be that good at it.

00:12:58.200 Well, I want to get to the doomsday cult and where this crazy outrage might spring

00:13:02.920 from.

00:13:03.240 I have a thesis on it based on what I read in your book.

00:13:06.540 But before that, you know, we're talking about all of these happy children at the border.

00:13:10.600 I want to talk about another way to make children happy, and that would be Little Bits.

00:13:13.960 How's that for a segue?

00:13:15.160 Little Bits, an award-winning platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks for creating

00:13:20.600 inventions large and small.

00:13:22.320 That's the best segue we've ever done, right?

00:13:24.140 I want an award for that.

00:13:25.800 It is really cool.

00:13:26.920 It is great.

00:13:27.380 So I've got this for my little nephew.

00:13:31.220 When I got this, Little Bits sent me their cool droid kit, you know, their Star Wars droid

00:13:36.520 kit.

00:13:37.160 And so they send it over here, and I say, okay, I'm going to give it to my little nephew.

00:13:40.500 That'll be a nice thing.

00:13:41.620 All of the 30-year-olds at the Daily Wire jump on top of me.

00:13:45.760 They're like, you know, leeches trying to get this toy to play with themselves.

00:13:49.920 It is very cool.

00:13:50.840 It is a super cool toy.

00:13:52.020 The complete droid kit has six bits, 20 droid parts, three sticker sheets, and a free app.

00:13:56.240 The app has step-by-step instructions, video tutorials.

00:13:59.620 It's got drive mode, force mode, self-nav, 20 authentic droid sounds from the Star Wars

00:14:04.500 films.

00:14:05.380 And you build your own droid, so you can reconfigure it in ways to create brand new droids.

00:14:10.880 Kids learn to control electronics with code in missions.

00:14:14.220 This requires a smart device, so you get to use it, do it from your phone or your mobile

00:14:18.120 device.

00:14:18.560 It's really cool.

00:14:19.560 I was into Star Wars as a kid.

00:14:21.200 If this thing had been around, there's no question this would be the number one toy to get, and

00:14:24.920 I think that's the reason it keeps winning awards.

00:14:27.340 It got the Toy Association's 2018 Toy of the Year for your kids and Inspire Invention.

00:14:32.440 It is so, so good.

00:14:49.120 I always worry, you know, with my nephews and nieces, what am I going to get them?

00:14:52.380 I don't, you know, I'm not like totally in the kid culture these days.

00:14:55.380 What am I going to get them for a gift for Christmas or any holiday?

00:14:59.340 Get them this.

00:15:00.440 Littlebits, the complete droid kit, and save some money.

00:15:03.120 Littlebits.com slash Knowles.

00:15:05.880 So, Derek, you know, on this outrage question, where it all came from, very early on in the

00:15:12.940 book, you say this is first world problems, that there is a sociological function, that

00:15:18.580 when people have it too good, they need something to complain about.

00:15:21.960 And then you also talk about the doomsday cult of global warming.

00:15:25.400 And I've always noticed the environmentalist movement really launched into full form after

00:15:31.580 the fall of the Berlin Wall.

00:15:33.460 After the Cold War ended, after our actual existential threat ended, the left just made

00:15:38.680 one up, it just invented one out of whole cloth.

00:15:42.160 Is all of this outrage just an aspect and a consequence of our luxury and our decadent

00:15:49.240 society?

00:15:50.060 A large part of it is when the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union went away, the left 0.78

00:15:54.240 lost.

00:15:54.880 They were basically rooting for that side.

00:15:56.780 So they needed to come up with another way to oppose capitalism and individual liberty.

00:16:01.260 And there was a ready-made one there with the environment.

00:16:04.580 What better way to scare the crap out of somebody than to say, you're destroying the planet.

00:16:09.800 We are destroying the planet.

00:16:11.060 We must now cede our liberty, our property to the government in order to save the entire

00:16:16.680 planet.

00:16:17.860 And of course, if you remember the 90s and the early 2000s, Al Gore was running around

00:16:22.840 going, it was 10 years, 10 years or it's too late.

00:16:25.640 If we don't do something now, it'll be too late.

00:16:27.200 Well, that came and went.

00:16:28.340 And we haven't, I'm in New York.

00:16:29.900 I didn't take a gondola to my hotel.

00:16:31.620 We are not flooded.

00:16:33.820 The storms that we were promised didn't happen.

00:16:36.520 They weren't more frequent.

00:16:37.400 They weren't more powerful.

00:16:38.740 So rather than what a normal human being would do when something like that goes wrong and

00:16:42.580 reflect like, hey, maybe I was wrong about this, they decided smartly, from a diabolical

00:16:48.200 point of view, to extend the time frame.

00:16:50.980 It used to be 10-year predictions.

00:16:52.300 Now it's 100-year predictions.

00:16:54.000 You, Michael Knowles, if you predicted, come Friday, the world will end and you get a bunch

00:16:58.640 of followers, Saturday morning, you're going to have some explaining to do.

00:17:02.480 But if you decide, no, no, in 100 years, the world will end, well, you can't prove that.

00:17:08.260 But more importantly, you can't disprove that.

00:17:10.520 And now if you look at the climate change studies, they are 100-year predictions.

00:17:14.840 They talk about the year 2100 because nobody will be around to recognize that they were full

00:17:20.940 of it, that they were lied to.

00:17:22.540 But we must act now, of course.

00:17:24.660 The answer is always now, whether it was global cooling in the 50s, which was, Brady Ferdinand

00:17:29.980 was writing about it in the 50s, or global warming in the 80s and 90s, or just generic

00:17:35.060 climate change.

00:17:35.840 We always must act now.

00:17:37.780 And the solution, ironically, was always the same.

00:17:40.140 It's very curious.

00:17:41.140 No matter what the problem was, the solution was the same, which would cause a normal person

00:17:45.060 to go, that's weird, when the problem was the exact opposite.

00:17:49.220 The solution was the same.

00:17:50.680 So, again, they have to scare the hell out of you, or something like that, a question

00:17:56.180 like that, might occur to you.

00:17:58.060 Yeah, I love that.

00:17:59.220 That's the argument for socialism now.

00:18:00.760 The earth is getting too cold, therefore we need socialism.

00:18:03.900 The earth is getting too warm, therefore we need socialism.

00:18:06.720 The earth is either changing or staying the same, therefore we need socialism.

00:18:12.100 It's always, big government has failed, what we need is bigger government.

00:18:15.580 That's obviously the solution.

00:18:16.940 It's insane, but if you're not a thinking person, it makes sense.

00:18:21.400 You know, and that is, this is the Chesterton's fence thing.

00:18:24.080 We're going to be talking about that later in the show.

00:18:26.060 They just say, we have to do something now.

00:18:27.960 In 350 million years, the earth is going to have two degrees higher temperatures, therefore

00:18:34.180 we need to do something.

00:18:35.660 Do something.

00:18:36.380 Do something.

00:18:37.040 Right?

00:18:37.140 The big promoters of this hysteria, the big outrage vendors are the journalists, quote

00:18:44.900 unquote, from the mainstream media.

00:18:47.720 Are the journalists, I think there are three options. 1.00

00:18:51.420 Are they stupid, hysterical, or cynical? 1.00

00:18:54.340 I guess they're not all mutually exclusive, but do they really believe what they're selling? 1.00

00:18:58.180 Do they really buy their own product?

00:18:59.620 It's impossible to get into somebody's head, no matter how much room there is in there.

00:19:03.960 There's a lot of empty space in these journalists' heads, but I would say it's a little from all

00:19:09.620 three of those columns.

00:19:11.000 It's the in crowd.

00:19:12.200 When you're rolling in the circles, I live in Washington, D.C., when you're rolling in

00:19:15.440 those circles and you're at the cocktail parties, there is no dissent.

00:19:19.280 It is like having a sea of bobbleheads on the dashboard of your car going down a dirt 1.00

00:19:24.420 road.

00:19:24.940 They're all just going up and down like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

00:19:29.560 So when you go to someplace, and look, every four years they go to Iowa.

00:19:33.400 All these journalists, they pat themselves on the back as heroes because they went to

00:19:37.060 a diner in Iowa and had a talk with a real human being.

00:19:41.200 Then they immediately go back to New York or D.C., take a Silkwood shower, delouse, and

00:19:46.280 then live for four years telling everybody about their trip to the zoo in Iowa, visiting real

00:19:52.300 people.

00:19:53.000 To the elite on the coast, the country in the middle of the country is nothing but the place

00:19:59.360 their chemical toilets jettisoned on their private jets as they go out to L.A. 0.90

00:20:05.320 It's a good metaphor for what they do in their commentary and punditry.

00:20:10.940 That's the mentality out there.

00:20:13.100 They believe they are the smartest and the best and the brightest because they have a

00:20:17.420 little badge that hangs on their lapel with their picture on it that gets them into places

00:20:21.780 the general public can't go.

00:20:23.560 So having worked in that business, I can tell you, you don't have to be a genius.

00:20:27.980 You don't have to be a rocket scientist to get a media credential.

00:20:31.740 It doesn't imbue you with any special knowledge.

00:20:35.020 And as we see every, I mean, last night, Rachel Maddow crying on television.

00:20:38.760 I wonder how many onions they had to cut to make that happen.

00:20:40.960 I take some offense because I am her, but you're absolutely right.

00:20:46.780 She has a total, she had two settings, off and sarcastic. 0.98

00:20:51.420 And suddenly they upgraded her to 3.0 and they added tears. 0.87

00:20:54.740 Yeah, that's good.

00:20:55.460 Hopefully she'll short out. 0.94

00:20:56.360 I don't know.

00:20:57.620 That's good.

00:20:58.200 I heard the new version has animojis too.

00:21:00.140 So I guess it's an upgrade, you know.

00:21:02.740 You're so right too about that, talking about it for the next three or four years.

00:21:07.280 They say, I was in Ohio, they write about it like Thomas Friedman, every single Thomas

00:21:12.420 Friedman column, you know, I was on a bus in Beirut and I talked to somebody.

00:21:15.920 That's how they write about Ohio and Iowa.

00:21:17.740 They write like it's Jack Kerouac on the road.

00:21:20.000 They come back and they publish their journals like they've cured cancer when all they did

00:21:24.020 was talk to a real human being who doesn't have an advanced degree in 1940s bisexual polar 0.88

00:21:29.900 bear studies.

00:21:31.020 Real people with real jobs who get dirt under their nails, you know, and don't have a manicurist

00:21:36.040 to get it out.

00:21:36.820 That's right.

00:21:37.940 Now, do you cite in the book, later on in the book, you cite Lindsay Stone.

00:21:42.180 She was that girl at Arlington Cemetery and she took a picture in front of the unknown

00:21:46.780 soldier and it said, please be quiet or don't yell or something.

00:21:50.720 And she was flipping the bird and pretending to yell. 0.97

00:21:53.300 She wasn't really yelling.

00:21:54.560 You know, this picture, it went on Facebook, people got a little angry.

00:21:57.880 And then the media blew it up.

00:21:59.780 They said, oh, there's outrage, even though there was only outrage after they posted the

00:22:04.700 picture, right?

00:22:05.240 This girl, she lost her job. 0.99

00:22:07.560 She got death threats, rape threats, all of this.

00:22:09.960 I mean, you really feel bad for the girl by the end of the episode.

00:22:14.800 Is there any end to this?

00:22:17.100 I mean, it just seems so mean.

00:22:19.140 Like people are just out to get each other and there's no grace and there's no forgiveness.

00:22:23.640 Do you see our culture turning a corner or is it only going to get worse?

00:22:26.340 I think it's only going to get worse because I don't know how to dial it back.

00:22:30.260 Honestly, I'm not saying that to be funny.

00:22:32.520 For it to be turned down on the left, we saw yesterday the secretary of Homeland Security

00:22:37.800 chased out of a restaurant because of who she is.

00:22:41.660 An angry mob came in and chanted her out of it. 1.00

00:22:44.940 It would take Democratic leadership not tolerating that from their base.

00:22:49.060 But with an election around the corner, there's no way they can't not tolerate that from their

00:22:53.780 base because their base is all they have.

00:22:57.120 On a slow news day, an average person can be destroyed by an angry journalist bored and

00:23:03.200 looking for a scalp.

00:23:04.580 Right.

00:23:04.660 On a regular news day, they all suffer from Trump Tourette's.

00:23:09.520 They mention the president's name and Nazi Hitler.

00:23:12.440 They just immediately freak out.

00:23:15.300 Mention Ronald Reagan to a committed leftist.

00:23:18.880 The man's been dead for a decade, more than a decade, been out of the White House almost

00:23:22.940 30 years, and they will go off as if he had just run over their dog in their driveway.

00:23:30.520 They do not forget.

00:23:31.840 I've written a column about this.

00:23:32.920 They do not forgive.

00:23:33.500 They don't want to defeat you.

00:23:34.980 They want to destroy you.

00:23:36.460 That is how they work.

00:23:38.480 And when you're dead, they're still going to come after you if you make the only sin

00:23:43.280 in liberaldom, and that is thinking wrong and disagreeing with them.

00:23:47.280 That's exactly right.

00:23:48.180 That's such a good point.

00:23:49.500 I've got to let you go.

00:23:50.280 I've taken up enough of your time, but it's such a good point.

00:23:52.660 And the book is so, so fun to read.

00:23:54.980 It's really a great read beginning to end.

00:23:56.880 The earth will be destroyed in 3,000 years if you don't buy this book today.

00:24:01.720 So keep that in mind.

00:24:02.600 It will.

00:24:03.140 Don't have that blood on your hands, people.

00:24:05.080 Outrage, Inc.

00:24:06.060 How the Liberal Mob Ruined Science Journalism in Hollywood by Derek Hunter.

00:24:09.380 Derek, thank you for being here.

00:24:10.640 Thank you.

00:24:11.420 So that actually is the perfect segue because it is the question of do something.

00:24:17.220 Yell, scream. 1.00

00:24:18.140 We have to do something.

00:24:19.060 This is Chesterton's fence.

00:24:21.560 And this is Chesterton's fence getting 10 feet higher under the Barack Obama administration

00:24:25.060 because that's all the Democrats.

00:24:27.560 They say they see these kids at the border, even though they've been coming through for

00:24:31.740 years and years and years.

00:24:32.620 Now the Trump administration is actually following the law, enforcing the law that was supported

00:24:38.260 by Democrats and some Republicans alike.

00:24:41.360 And they say just whatever, do something other than this.

00:24:44.060 Do something.

00:24:44.780 And do something is what people who don't know what to do say.

00:24:48.400 That's, that's, you remember that kid from Broward County, David Hogg.

00:24:52.160 It's hard to forget because he's on CNN every 15 minutes.

00:24:56.480 He would say, we have to do something.

00:24:57.940 And say, what do you want to do?

00:24:58.720 We'd say, uh, something, how about something?

00:25:02.440 Have you guys considered doing something?

00:25:03.960 Because that, that's what I suggest we do.

00:25:05.840 Uh, this is right now, Donald Trump is talking about a possible executive order to stop these

00:25:11.580 separations.

00:25:12.800 The executive order would violate the law.

00:25:15.120 It would violate the law.

00:25:16.280 It'd be in violation of federal law.

00:25:18.760 And then what?

00:25:19.580 Then what's going to happen?

00:25:20.340 Do you think the Democrats will say, okay, good job, Trump?

00:25:22.280 No, they're going to yell at him for violating the law.

00:25:24.820 They're like, there is no, uh, dealing with these people.

00:25:28.500 Seriously, they are not honest brokers.

00:25:31.060 They're not being honest actors here.

00:25:32.820 Rachel Maddow wasn't crying when Obama did far worse to these same people than Donald

00:25:37.460 Trump is doing.

00:25:38.160 It is all just a scheme and people shouldn't fall in for it.

00:25:42.280 On the doing something, Chesterton's fence, GK Chesterton, the great writer who we reference

00:25:47.660 on the show all the time, he, he put this very well.

00:25:50.320 He said, quote, in the matter of reforming things as distinct from deforming them, there

00:25:56.420 is one plain and simple principle, a principle which will probably be called a paradox.

00:26:01.160 There exists in such a case a certain institution or law.

00:26:06.560 Let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road, the more modern

00:26:11.620 type of reformer goes gaily up to it and says, I don't see the use of this.

00:26:15.820 Let us clear it away.

00:26:16.740 To which the more intelligent type of reformer will do well to answer.

00:26:20.620 If you don't see the use of it, I certainly won't let you clear it away.

00:26:24.580 Go away and think.

00:26:26.300 Then when you come back and tell me that you do see the use of it, I may allow you to destroy 0.56

00:26:31.080 it.

00:26:31.960 Chesterton's fence.

00:26:32.800 People who go up, they say, this must be crazy.

00:26:34.520 I don't understand why this law exists.

00:26:36.300 I don't understand why this rule exists.

00:26:38.560 Well, if you don't, then I'm certainly not going to let you change it because you don't

00:26:42.100 understand anything, right?

00:26:43.120 I'll only let you change it if you can tell me why it exists and why it should be changed

00:26:47.020 and how changing it will make it better.

00:26:49.000 This is the issue of this policy because the alternative is putting kids in jail.

00:26:53.700 That's the alternative to this policy.

00:26:55.600 What would you rather do?

00:26:57.120 Would you rather put kids in jail with their parents, but they're in jail indefinitely,

00:27:02.600 little toddlers in jail indefinitely, or would you rather have them in facilities that

00:27:06.620 are run by HHS and have their parents in jail, just like in America, when a parent goes

00:27:11.240 to jail for committing any crime in America, the kids are somewhere else.

00:27:15.100 The kids don't go to jail with their parents.

00:27:16.740 The parents rob a bank.

00:27:18.160 The kids don't go to jail with them, right?

00:27:20.360 So you could do that.

00:27:21.460 Or the alternative, which the Democrats want, is to just let the kids go free and let the

00:27:27.100 parents go free with them and stop prosecuting parents.

00:27:29.900 That's what they really, really want.

00:27:32.060 I'm getting, there's breaking news.

00:27:33.600 Now I sound like I'm Rachel Maddow.

00:27:35.100 Donald Trump, President Trump did sign the order to end family separation.

00:27:39.340 We're going to have to parse how exactly that went.

00:27:41.820 This is being reported by the LA Times.

00:27:44.140 I knew he was going to do it.

00:27:45.700 I think we all knew this was coming.

00:27:47.240 It just was such bad optics.

00:27:49.240 But it's not a smart move to play into the Democrats' demands here.

00:27:54.180 It's not good to take their premises.

00:27:55.920 I will have to parse and see exactly what this executive order does because there are

00:27:59.780 only going to be more problems down the road if this violates the law, which it is hard

00:28:04.180 to imagine that it won't.

00:28:05.640 The Democrats are not going to let up on this.

00:28:07.520 But there are, beyond the executive order, that's not really the main issue here.

00:28:12.220 Beyond the executive order, there are three bills being proposed, three pieces of legislation

00:28:17.200 to address this issue because the executive order is just a patch, right?

00:28:21.200 They'll say, okay, we're going to stop enforcing the law.

00:28:23.700 What's going to come from that?

00:28:24.580 Then you're going to jail kids or you're going to let the parents go.

00:28:27.260 Either way, you're going to have trouble.

00:28:28.760 Three bills being proposed.

00:28:30.960 Senator Dianne Feinstein, Paul Ryan, and Ted Cruz.

00:28:35.120 Two Senate bills, one from Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan.

00:28:39.840 The Feinstein bill bans the separation of families.

00:28:43.260 That's it.

00:28:43.680 It's a violation of the law, possibly like this executive order.

00:28:46.660 This was articulated very well by a congressional intern the other day as President Trump was

00:28:51.400 walking in.

00:28:52.020 Here it is.

00:28:52.440 That's one of the most articulate Democrats I've heard from Congress.

00:29:08.160 That's a congressional intern yelling as the president walked through the Capitol.

00:29:11.700 That's basically what Dianne Feinstein's bill means. 0.99

00:29:14.040 It's just, you know, screw you, Mr. President.

00:29:16.600 Then the Paul Ryan bill allows the kids to be jailed for more than 20 days, so they won't 0.90

00:29:21.960 be separated.

00:29:22.760 But then you've got kids basically in jail.

00:29:25.860 I don't know that that's a great solution.

00:29:27.860 Then there's the Cruz bill.

00:29:28.700 The Cruz bill is pretty good because the Cruz bill addresses the immigration issue.

00:29:34.160 It doubles the number of immigration judges.

00:29:35.860 It expedites proceedings.

00:29:36.940 It expedites deportation so that it won't be an issue to separate the kids because it'll 0.95

00:29:41.520 all be done before the statutory minimum or the statutory maximum of how long kids can

00:29:46.120 be held in custody.

00:29:47.840 That seems like a great idea.

00:29:49.380 Of course, Senate Democrats are going to say no because they don't actually want to fix

00:29:52.740 the problem.

00:29:53.360 They just want to demagogue. 0.92

00:29:55.660 There's some bad news here.

00:29:57.420 There is some bad news for the culture.

00:29:59.080 There's really, I don't know how the GOP is going to get past this.

00:30:02.120 Because of this big issue, the GOP has lost a fake Republican.

00:30:07.660 A fake Republican strategist.

00:30:09.380 Here is Steve Schmidt.

00:30:12.220 He was the head of the McCain campaign for president.

00:30:15.540 Here it is.

00:30:16.300 Here is what GOP strategist Steve Schmidt has to say.

00:30:20.120 I certainly don't feel guilty about being a Republican.

00:30:22.820 I've always been a Republican.

00:30:24.940 My father is.

00:30:25.760 His father was.

00:30:27.520 The whole family is a Republican family.

00:30:29.280 I voted for Dwight Eisenhower the first time I ever voted.

00:30:32.440 I voted for Nixon the last time.

00:30:33.800 But when we come to Senator Goldwater, now it seems to me we're up against a very different

00:30:43.280 kind of a man.

00:30:45.820 This man scares me.

00:30:48.900 Now maybe I'm wrong.

00:30:50.640 A friend of mine has said to me, listen, just because a man sounds a little irresponsible

00:30:56.460 during a campaign doesn't mean he's going to act irresponsibly.

00:30:59.440 You know that theory that the White House makes the man.

00:31:03.200 I don't buy that.

00:31:04.900 I mean, when the head of the Ku Klux Klan, when all these weird groups come out in favor of

00:31:12.420 the candidate of my party, either they're not Republicans or I'm not, I've thought about just

00:31:21.300 not voting in this election, just staying home.

00:31:24.540 But you can't do that because that's saying you don't care who wins.

00:31:30.600 And I do care.

00:31:32.500 I think my party made a bad mistake in San Francisco.

00:31:35.680 And I'm going to have to vote against that mistake on the 3rd of November.

00:31:38.480 Vote for President Johnson on November 3rd.

00:31:43.140 The stakes are too high for you to stay home.

00:31:46.500 Oh, that wasn't Steve Schmidt.

00:31:48.200 That was the same trick that Democrats have been playing on Republicans forever, including

00:31:52.360 all the way back in the LBJ election.

00:31:55.640 So Steve Schmidt, what are we going to do?

00:31:58.340 I mean, what is the GOP going to do?

00:31:59.860 We have just lost the chief strategist for the McCain for President campaign.

00:32:04.800 I mean, this, we have just lost one of the worst GOP strategists ever who ran a campaign

00:32:10.600 that literally suspended itself just for no reason.

00:32:13.960 That campaign that made it an important point to say nice things about Barack Obama, the

00:32:18.320 opponent, that, that campaign, that guy, how, what is the GOP going to do?

00:32:21.960 How are we ever going to keep losing elections if we don't have Steve Schmidt?

00:32:25.240 Now we're going to have to start winning elections.

00:32:27.360 That'll be terrible.

00:32:28.380 That'll cut against this, this squishy strategy that the GOP has embraced at various times.

00:32:34.240 Uh, Steve Schmidt, he's a total squish.

00:32:36.560 He, uh, he would frequently invoke that, that phrase country over party, which is a meaningless

00:32:41.200 phrase, by the way, they always say that when people want to attack their own political

00:32:44.980 party, it's usually just Republicans who do this.

00:32:47.020 They say country over party as if that's an actual dichotomy.

00:32:50.960 That's not a dichotomy.

00:32:51.860 The reason I'm a Republican is because the Republican agenda is better for the country,

00:32:56.440 much better than the Democrat agenda.

00:32:58.040 So I'm a Republican for my country.

00:33:00.380 I choose my party because of my country.

00:33:02.000 There is no world in which you have a dichotomy between your party and your country.

00:33:05.880 It just means you're not a member of that party.

00:33:08.440 I don't say country over Democrat party.

00:33:11.460 I'm a Republican as country over the party that I'm not in.

00:33:14.500 Okay, right.

00:33:15.200 Duh.

00:33:15.540 That's why it's a party.

00:33:16.360 That's why you're in that party.

00:33:17.680 So Steve Schmidt, uh, I mean, you actually could trace his tweet storm leaving the GOP point

00:33:23.820 by point to that video that LBJ put out, the Democrat campaign for president.

00:33:28.640 He, he follows it almost point by point, uh, Steve, Steve Schmidt, by the way, Steve Schmidt

00:33:34.820 is a guy.

00:33:35.280 He's such a squish that he actually wrote an, uh, amicus brief to the Supreme court on the 1.00

00:33:41.760 gay marriage issue because he wanted the Supreme court by judicial fiat to radically redefine 0.94

00:33:46.560 marriage.

00:33:46.980 That's how radical this guy is.

00:33:48.500 But he came out and he tweeted, quote, 29 years and nine months ago, I registered to vote

00:33:52.660 and became a member of the Republican party founded in 1854 to oppose slavery and stand for

00:33:57.160 the dignity of human life.

00:33:58.960 Today, I renounce my membership in the party.

00:34:02.340 It's the party of Trump. 0.97

00:34:03.980 It is corrupt, indecent, and immoral with the exception of a few governors like Baker, Hogan, 0.99

00:34:09.680 and Kasich. 0.74

00:34:12.380 Kasich?

00:34:12.980 Are you?

00:34:13.220 Okay, kids, keep going. 0.97

00:34:14.340 It is filled with feckless cowards who disgrace and honor the legacies of the party's greatest 0.98

00:34:18.700 leaders. 0.90

00:34:19.060 The child's separation policy, which was signed under president Bush and which Barack Obama enforced

00:34:25.880 and you never talked about it then, is connected to the worst abuses of humanity in our history.

00:34:30.840 It's connected by the same evil that separated families during slavery and dislocated tribes

00:34:36.300 and broke up Native American families.

00:34:38.400 I'm sorry, hold on just one second.

00:34:39.500 I have to pop open my Tumblr.

00:34:41.160 Just collect.

00:34:42.160 Good, good, good.

00:34:44.980 That's good.

00:34:45.400 I'll go on.

00:34:45.720 It is immoral and must be repudiated.

00:34:48.140 Our country's in trouble.

00:34:49.340 Our politics are badly broken.

00:34:50.820 The first step to a season of renewal in our land is the absolute and utter repudiation

00:34:55.580 of Trump and his vile enablers by electing Democratic majorities.

00:35:00.840 And there it is.

00:35:01.660 There it is, folks.

00:35:02.620 This has been building for a very long time for Steve Schmidt.

00:35:05.300 He's just been waiting for the opportunity to just publicly endorse a bunch of Democrats.

00:35:09.940 He goes on.

00:35:10.940 Who cares what he says, right? 0.99

00:35:12.060 It's all just ridiculous nonsense. 0.99

00:35:15.020 He invokes Ronald Reagan, blah, blah, blah. 0.99

00:35:17.640 They've disgraced our country, blah, blah, blah.

00:35:19.400 Vote for Democrats.

00:35:20.480 That's what he says.

00:35:21.100 He even used, I do want to point out, he uses the word fidelitous.

00:35:24.580 He says, this independent voter will be aligned with the only party left in America that stands

00:35:28.560 for what is right and decent and renames fidelitous to our republic.

00:35:32.860 He could have said faithful, which is like the right word to use there.

00:35:35.780 But fidelitous, because he's so grandiose.

00:35:37.840 It's so flowery.

00:35:38.940 Okay, that's fine.

00:35:40.300 That's fine, Steve.

00:35:41.160 I hope we can make it without you.

00:35:42.820 I hope this is going to be really frustrating if we have to start winning campaigns now instead

00:35:47.140 of losing them all the time and apologizing to our opponents.

00:35:49.940 But bye-bye.

00:35:50.640 See ya.

00:35:50.940 This always happens.

00:35:52.040 The squishes always leave. 0.99

00:35:53.100 It's been going on for a very long time.

00:35:54.880 The hysteria knows no bounds.

00:35:56.280 I will explain, by the way, exactly the answer you need to give whenever Democrats or squishy

00:36:02.760 Republicans say stuff like this or they accuse Trump of being a Nazi or whatever.

00:36:06.320 I'm going to explain exactly your response, but I've got to say goodbye to Facebook and

00:36:09.840 YouTube.

00:36:10.760 We've only got a little bit here left.

00:36:12.020 If you're on Facebook or YouTube, go over to dailywire.com.

00:36:15.200 If you're a Daily Wire subscriber, thank you very much.

00:36:17.520 You help us keep the lights on.

00:36:18.660 You keep my cup filled with salty and delicious leftist tears and always an armful of covfefe.

00:36:24.340 So go there right now.

00:36:25.580 It's $10 a month, $100 for an annual membership.

00:36:28.320 You get me.

00:36:28.740 You get the Andrew Klavan show.

00:36:29.600 You get the Ben Shapiro show.

00:36:30.920 You get to ask questions in the mailbag.

00:36:32.400 Get your mailbag questions in.

00:36:33.520 We'll answer them on Thursday.

00:36:35.040 None of that matters.

00:36:36.220 You need this Tumblr.

00:36:38.880 You need it now.

00:36:39.840 You need it like three days ago, actually.

00:36:42.180 So I'm probably just talking to a bunch of floating cadavers right now with their Facebook

00:36:46.180 open.

00:36:46.940 You need the Daily Wire leftist to your Tumblr.

00:36:49.640 Go to dailywire.com to protect you, your property, and your family.

00:36:53.220 We'll be right back with the answer to all of those Nazi accusers.

00:36:57.260 We'll be right back.

00:36:57.860 Okay, so we saw Steve Schmidt's little temper tantrum.

00:37:11.060 This happens with other fake Republicans, too.

00:37:13.140 It's all the Republicans who go on MSNBC, and all they do is either lose campaigns or

00:37:17.780 no one's ever heard of them until they went on MSNBC, like Anna Navarro.

00:37:21.380 You know, Anna Navarro has never done anything to help the Republican Party ever, but then

00:37:26.580 she goes on MSNBC, and she's the Republican strategist, which is, Republican strategist

00:37:31.780 is another way of saying somebody who was here who would come on the show.

00:37:36.100 Somebody who can talk on camera.

00:37:39.280 All right, that's all that means.

00:37:40.880 So you've heard the hysteria ginned up like crazy, especially over this immigration thing. 0.89

00:37:45.660 They say Trump is a Nazi, and this is what Nazis do. 0.98

00:37:48.760 And he's Hitler, and he's a Nazi, a Vox. 0.94

00:37:51.160 This is a headline from Vox.

00:37:52.700 Jeff Sessions tries to beat back Nazi comparisons, gets literally everything wrong.

00:37:58.600 From The Guardian, Melania Trump's former immigration lawyer compares border crisis to

00:38:03.420 Nazi Germany and slave trade.

00:38:06.500 And then, not to be outdone, here's Newsweek.

00:38:08.620 ICE director uses Nazi defense to claim border policy is not like Hitler regime.

00:38:14.660 We're just following orders.

00:38:16.340 Okay, I get the sense that all these people, these major outlets, these are not fringe people,

00:38:22.560 right?

00:38:22.680 These are major outlets on the left.

00:38:24.220 They're all comparing Donald Trump and his administration to Hitler and the Nazis.

00:38:30.280 This raises a serious question because there are only two options here.

00:38:34.060 One, these people are being hysterical and disingenuous, and nobody actually thinks that

00:38:39.680 Donald Trump is Hitler or his administration are Nazis.

00:38:42.440 That's one option. 0.91

00:38:43.760 Or, they actually think that these guys are Nazis, and in order to fight against the Nazis,

00:38:50.140 they're perfectly willing to tweet a little bit and wear pink hats.

00:38:55.380 Imagine these people.

00:38:56.320 I mean, actually imagine this for a second.

00:38:58.040 If you thought that Hitler had just taken power in the country, and then you didn't do anything

00:39:03.380 about it, and then you just thought, you actually thought that there was a regime in power now

00:39:08.560 that's about to start murdering millions and millions of people, overtaking our neighbors,

00:39:13.540 invading Canada and Mexico and Poland, I don't know, and deporting, you know, people and 1.00

00:39:19.140 murdering people and genocide and all of these awful, horrendous, evil things.

00:39:24.820 And then you said, in response to that, I'm going to tweet and nothing else.

00:39:29.760 That's all I'm going to do.

00:39:31.680 Those people would be worse than Hitler, right? 0.97

00:39:34.500 They would be vishy Americans. 1.00

00:39:36.100 They would be people, what's the line they say?

00:39:38.120 All that it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

00:39:41.160 They're people who are doing less than nothing.

00:39:42.700 They're just like, hey, look, it's Hitler. 1.00

00:39:45.600 You know the thought experiment, if you could kill baby Hitler, would you kill him? 1.00

00:39:49.640 They see adult Hitler. 1.00

00:39:50.960 He's like walking right by them, like, hey, look, baby Hitler. 0.74

00:39:53.340 But that, I mean, it's so, so obviously they're disingenuous.

00:39:57.180 Nobody thinks this guy's actually Hitler.

00:39:58.840 But you should point out to them, if you actually think he's Hitler, you're abetting Nazis. 0.55

00:40:03.780 You're allowing, you're just standing idly by while the Nazis wreak havoc and destruction 0.96

00:40:08.120 and evil on the world.

00:40:09.040 So good job, vishy.

00:40:10.300 Good job, vishy American. 1.00

00:40:11.940 But obviously that's not the case.

00:40:13.440 People are being totally disingenuous and nobody actually thinks that, which is why people

00:40:18.060 are ignoring the mainstream media.

00:40:19.220 In the few minutes before we have to go here, I'll just, I will just point that out.

00:40:23.280 Everything is getting better in this country.

00:40:25.080 And that's why they're being so hysterical.

00:40:27.280 Even, you know, I feel like this could be a daily segment, things that are getting better

00:40:30.660 today, because every day there's something new.

00:40:33.500 We have out now, millennials are finally moving out of their parents' house. 1.00

00:40:39.100 So during the Obama era, they just kept living with their parents at greater and greater

00:40:42.420 numbers.

00:40:43.260 In 2017, that number finally started to tick down.

00:40:46.220 So 31.5% of millennials are currently living with their parents.

00:40:50.960 That number is pretty high.

00:40:52.160 I think the standard number of people in that age group living with parents is about 28%.

00:40:56.840 So that number is pretty high, but it finally ticked down from 32%.

00:41:00.500 So the number is finally turning.

00:41:02.060 Why?

00:41:02.480 I don't know, because the country is getting better and people are making more money and

00:41:05.340 people are finally more employed.

00:41:06.720 We have virtually zero unemployment right now.

00:41:09.280 We have more open jobs than people looking for jobs.

00:41:13.080 And by the way, in defense of the millennials, they do have a trillion and a half dollars

00:41:17.660 of student loan debt, and they got basically nothing for it.

00:41:21.380 They got these awful, fake education degrees.

00:41:25.580 You know, they got these degrees, but they didn't learn anything in college and certainly

00:41:28.940 no useful skills and not even serious liberal arts or liberal education.

00:41:33.880 For the millennials, too, the wages that they're earning are lower than their parents were

00:41:38.000 earning at the same age.

00:41:39.020 They're actually significantly lower, like 20% lower.

00:41:42.020 In 2013, the average millennial earnings were about $40,000, a little bit more.

00:41:48.280 Boomers, their parents, earned inflation-adjusted over $50,000 at that same age.

00:41:53.260 So they actually do have it a little tough.

00:41:54.680 But finally, after the Obama malaise, the economy is doing better, and they're moving out of 0.84

00:41:58.320 their parents' house.

00:41:58.860 That's very good.

00:42:00.500 Millennials are the largest generation in the workforce right now, 35%.

00:42:03.760 So we should hope that they can afford their own apartment.

00:42:07.080 Right now, it just came out from the National Association of Manufacturers.

00:42:11.180 Over 95% of manufacturers are optimistic about the future.

00:42:15.840 They say things are going well and things are getting better.

00:42:17.980 That is the highest number ever recorded from that association.

00:42:21.920 Record-breaking numbers.

00:42:23.100 Why?

00:42:23.560 Because things are going well.

00:42:25.660 Disability claims are way down.

00:42:27.660 This one's amazing.

00:42:28.440 Because when the economy's bad, all of a sudden, people start to get disabled. 1.00

00:42:32.080 And it's really weird.

00:42:32.860 You know, you say, oh, gosh, how did that economy come crashing down on you and broke

00:42:36.280 your back or something?

00:42:37.200 And people file these bogus disability claims, and they start getting on the government dole

00:42:41.520 because they can't get any work, and they don't really want to work, and everything's

00:42:44.340 just boring and sad.

00:42:45.680 Two years ago, from the Social Security Disability Fund, analysts said that that fund would run out

00:42:52.440 by 2023, which is coming up pretty close, because there were so many people on it during

00:42:56.880 the Obama economy.

00:42:57.660 Now, analysts are changing their tune.

00:43:01.240 They're saying it won't be depleted until 2032, and actually, we might have more good

00:43:05.080 news.

00:43:05.320 It might be even later, because people aren't using it because they're getting work.

00:43:08.580 They're getting jobs.

00:43:09.880 The country's doing better.

00:43:11.060 And what's happening?

00:43:11.760 Rachel Maddow is crying.

00:43:13.080 What is Rachel Maddow crying about?

00:43:14.320 Is she crying about the kids being detained because their parents, their criminal parents,

00:43:18.420 entered the country illegally and subjected them to this horrible situation?

00:43:23.060 No, she's not crying about that, because then she would have been crying about it when

00:43:27.300 it was much worse in 2014 under Obama.

00:43:29.480 She's not crying about that at all.

00:43:30.900 Rachel Maddow is crying because things are going so, so well, and her side is losing because

00:43:36.220 of it.

00:43:36.520 Because her side offered nothing but failure and malaise and division, and America has

00:43:42.280 finally turned a corner.

00:43:43.440 Things are going well.

00:43:44.440 And what's going to happen?

00:43:45.180 Your Tumblr is going to fill up, so go to dailywire.com.

00:43:48.100 Make sure you have it.
