00:03:34.980 But the campaign ad as such is driving people crazy. It's an ad against people abusing the

00:03:41.380 welfare system, which is all good. Republicans, centrists, independents, disillusioned liberals

00:03:47.180 should all agree with the message. The issue with the ad that is driving people crazy is that the

00:03:52.760 supposed welfare abuser here is a young white man. Yeah. Oh, you want some of this? Come on. 0.68

00:04:01.340 Me, Brad. Brad has turned relaxing into a full-time profession. But you, you actually

00:04:08.280 work hard. You pay taxes to cover welfare for guys like Brad who just choose not to work.

00:04:22.060 are working than ever before, even Brad. Okay. All right. So it's the problem is the Brad's

00:04:32.300 according to the campaign ad. However, we all know that the problem with welfare abuse is not

00:04:38.060 the Brad's. It's the Abdullah's. If you look in places like Minnesota and Ohio, it's the Shaniqua's. 0.98

00:04:45.080 I don't think you can get away with doing an ad about the Shaniqua's. It's the, but it's not 1.00

00:04:49.120 Generally, the brads. We have the numbers to back this up. The population of Arkansas

00:04:53.640 is 68 to 70 percent white. The black population is about 15 percent. Latino population,

00:05:02.380 eight or nine percent. Then you have Asian, American Indian, Pacific Islander. They make

00:05:09.080 up the very small number of the rest of the people. So that's the just demographic of Arkansas.

00:05:14.860 So compare that to welfare use.

00:05:17.040 Let's just look at SNAP benefits because that's the biggest one other than Medicaid,

00:05:20.700 but the Medicaid numbers are almost exactly the same.

00:05:23.480 You got 70% of the population is white, but only 57.8% of the welfare users are white.

00:05:32.840 You've got 15% of the population is black, a little under 21% of the welfare users are black.

00:05:39.620 So black people are disproportionately likely to use the welfare programs.

00:05:43.660 You've got 8% or 9% of the population is Hispanic.

00:05:50.180 So disproportionately, the welfare users are Hispanic.

00:06:32.280 What's interesting about this to me is not that Sarah Sanders made this choice. She's being dragged

00:06:38.860 for this personally, I don't think that's fair because I think Sarah Sanders is looking at the

00:06:43.800 reality of language and signs and symbols. And the reality of signs and symbols and language

00:06:50.580 in our democracy is the most interesting thing about this ad. Because everybody looking at the

00:06:57.140 Brad ad knows that Brad is not the guy who abuses welfare. Everybody, the white people, the black

00:07:03.800 people, the Hispanic people, the men, the women, the Republicans, the Democrats. Literally every

00:07:10.540 group knows that the presentation of welfare abuse in this ad is dishonest. People who want

00:07:18.200 more welfare, people who want less welfare, everybody knows it is not young white guys

00:07:23.140 who are abusing the welfare system. And yet, everybody also agrees that the only way

00:07:31.620 in mainstream politics that you can make an ad going after welfare is by targeting young white

00:07:38.920 men. Why is that? Because it is simply a fact of our politics that the only group that you are

00:07:44.800 allowed to, legally allowed to, and culturally encouraged to discriminate against is young

00:07:51.480 white men. That's the group. You are not allowed to do it. Culturally speaking, you are not allowed 0.74

00:07:57.780 to criticize anyone other than white men, even white women. A little bit, you can call them 0.64

00:08:02.320 Karens every now and again, but generally, it's the white men. And then as a matter of the law, 0.54

00:08:32.180 it comes to school admissions and jobs, but you're not allowed to discriminate against them.

00:08:37.340 So to me, the most interesting thing about the ad is the fact that it is dishonest.

00:08:46.260 We all know it is dishonest, and yet we all know that the Republicans, in order to run an ad on

00:08:54.480 welfare had to do this. The purpose of a sign, getting into semiotics and getting into how

00:09:02.360 language works, the purpose of a sign is to point to something that is signified, right? That's how

00:09:09.880 meaning works. And what's so interesting here is this sign is pointing to something that is

00:09:17.800 contrary to what the sign looks like. And we all know this. In a way, it's kind of like a double

00:09:22.520 sign. The lazy young white man here is really pointing to immigrant groups and racial minorities 0.98

00:09:29.700 and the opposite sex. And that is pointing to the meaning that we're supposed to take away 0.98

00:09:34.920 from this, which is that some people are abusing the welfare system. But we're not allowed to use

00:09:39.380 the honest sign. In a modest defense of Sarah Sanders here, again, I'm not saying if I were

00:09:46.080 the Republican consultant, I probably wouldn't have run this ad. But a modest defense of Sarah

00:09:50.200 Sanders here. Sarah is running for re-election. The race is relatively tight for Arkansas. Right 0.86

00:09:56.580 now, Sarah's at 45%. The Democrats at 40%. So nobody's over 50. This is kind of a close race

00:10:02.980 for a red state. That's a little bit worrisome. So she can't be getting too crazy. And if she

00:10:08.260 made the ad saying, you know, all these Shaniquas, all these Abdullah's are abusing the welfare 1.00

00:10:12.240 system and we got to kick them off. The whole race would become about how racist Sarah Sanders is. 0.99

00:10:17.880 it would give an advantage to her black opponent. The polls might tighten. Who knows? The Democrat 1.00

00:10:27.740 she can't make that ad. But she still wants to run an ad about welfare abuse. So she's going to

00:10:32.020 make it about a young white guy, young white guys who don't abuse welfare. This is an indictment,

00:10:38.320 not of Sarah Sanders, not of the Republican Party, exactly. It's an indictment of our system.

00:12:28.500 that you're encouraged to vilify, and you have to blame every problem in the world on this one group.

00:12:36.740 those are those are deep structural changes in our culture enacted and embodied by our

00:12:43.380 elite institutions and even uh enshrined in our law the sanders campaign is just acknowledging

00:12:51.080 that reality that's a that's a deeper problem and it's a problem by the way that's going on

00:13:01.240 longer than she's been alive. It's a reminder that we are living in a fundamentally dishonest

00:13:08.760 culture. And the left wants to encourage that because the left believes that the way that you

00:13:12.920 get to a happy society is by lying all the time. You lie and you pretend that the man who thinks

00:13:17.660 that he's a woman is really a woman. You lie. You say, oh, there are certain problems and

00:13:31.080 problem doesn't make a problem better. It makes the problem fester. Affirming the delusions of

00:13:40.800 lot worse, and anxiety goes up, and depression goes up, and suicidality goes up. But that's what

00:13:45.880 the left is telling you, and the left dominates the culture. The left, the Democratic Party in

00:13:50.040 particular, is the establishment party and has been for a very, very long time. The Republicans

00:13:56.420 are the junior partner in the American polity. They're a little more the anti-establishment

00:14:00.800 party. It's true. We have basically unified government right now. And yet the culture

00:14:04.720 is still so predominantly left-wing and liberal. What does that tell you? It tells you that the

00:14:09.360 politics is about more than just who happens to control the House of Representatives.

00:38:04.640 toddler who was just murdered by the medical establishment by the state. This is the first

00:38:09.680 known case of a non-infant under the age of 12 undergoing assisted death. Again, assisted death?

00:38:18.000 What do you mean? That doesn't make any sense at all. Every murder is an assisted death.

00:38:23.860 Every manslaughter is an assisted death. What are you talking about? That's not the first case.

00:38:28.460 This isn't the first time a toddler was murdered. What they're trying to say is assisted suicide,

00:41:16.080 him very, very well, but we communicated a fair bit. I was hoping I'd grab a drink with him at

00:41:21.200 some point when I was in New York, and I never had the chance, but we corresponded a fair bit.

00:41:26.140 This is Dovey Eisner, and he just died. He had very, very serious injuries. Sorry,

00:41:33.460 very, very serious disabilities. He was confined to an electric wheelchair. He used a breathing

00:41:37.140 tube. His breathing tube became disconnected. He fell into a coma. A year later, he died.

00:41:40.460 And the timing is quite providential because Dovey fell into this coma and then died

00:41:48.360 just after he published an article on assisted suicide.

00:41:53.540 Published in the New York Post and said,

00:41:55.020 assisted suicide, a dark moral path.
