Ep. 432 - Real Journalists Expose Fake News
Summary
CNN chief Jeff Zucker gets caught on camera telling his journalists to stop associating with Republicans and to start pushing impeachment. The mainstream media loses its collective mind over a meme depicting violence against journalists while they ignore real world violence against conservatives. And then a story you certainly will not hear about in the mainstream media. We speak with Peter Benjamin, who had the transgender surgery, lived as a woman, came to regret it, is now identifying again as a male and has some serious warnings about the spread of transgender ideology throughout the culture.

CNN chief Jeff Zucker gets caught on camera telling his journalists to stop associating
00:00:36.340
with Republicans and to start pushing impeachment.
00:00:39.360
The mainstream media lose their collective minds over a meme depicting violence against journalists
00:00:43.920
while they ignore real world violence against conservatives.
00:00:47.940
And then a story you certainly will not hear about in the mainstream media, transgender regret.
00:00:54.060
We speak with Peter Benjamin, who had the transgender surgery, lived as a woman,
00:00:58.580
came to regret it, is now identifying again as a male and has some serious warnings
00:01:04.920
about the spread of transgender ideology throughout the culture.
00:01:09.400
I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:23.720
I know, that's not exactly a man bites dog story.
00:01:27.700
That's more of a dog bites man story because we already knew that from the very beginning.
00:01:31.580
But now we have audio confirmation of this because an actual journalist, James O'Keefe,
00:01:38.720
went in there, went into CNN, and was able to catch on bits of information from sources
00:01:44.180
and from audio and from phone calls, where CNN chief Jeff Zucker actually admits that he is using his
00:01:53.740
alleged news network to push for the partisan political goal of impeaching President Trump.
00:02:11.040
I'm a contractor at the CNN Washington, D.C. Bureau.
00:02:14.480
But Jeff Zucker, yeah, basically president of CNN, has a personal vendetta against Trump.
00:02:35.280
I'm reading him before we're playing it every single day.
00:02:41.740
I decided to secretly record the 9 a.m. rundown call meetings, and it's basically run by
00:02:52.060
I mean, don't, like, you know, we shouldn't pretend, oh, this is going one way, and so all
00:03:03.560
When I came to work at CNN, I mean, it was my dream job, and that dream actually just
00:03:09.600
Okay, so the very first voice of the source talks to media coordinators, floor directors, various people at CNN who are all backing up what we just heard from Jeff Zucker, which is Jeff Zucker as a personal vendetta against Trump.
00:03:26.160
He is directing the network, he is directing the network's news coverage to focus on and to actually push impeachment.
00:03:32.160
Now, look, news outlets can have their own editorial positions.
00:03:36.460
It's a little dishonest of CNN because CNN pretends to only be facts first, and they're not admitting that their news programming is really opinion programming.
00:03:45.680
But, okay, that's all even sort of understandable.
00:03:49.500
The footage gets even more specific, though, because you then hear Jeff Zucker telling his team to stop palling around with prominent Republicans.
00:04:01.820
Because they're not objective journalists covering the news.
00:04:04.460
They are partisans pushing a narrative for the left and for the Democratic Party.
00:04:09.640
I just want to say on the Lindsey Graham front, I know that there's a lot of people at CNN that are friendly with Lindsey Graham.
00:04:15.200
Time to knock that off, and it's time to call him out.
00:04:18.480
I think what's going on in America now is really fundamentally the result of years of fake news, conspiracy nonsense from Facebook, from Fox News.
00:04:33.580
Okay, so he says, I know a lot of you guys are friendly with Lindsey Graham.
00:04:46.060
And then he has the audacity and the just obliviousness, the unselfawareness to say,
00:04:51.440
this is a result of years and years of fake news from Fox, which is the more conservative network.
00:05:01.060
Not years and years of fake news from us, even though on this call I am admitting we are fake news.
00:05:06.820
We are partisans pushing a partisan political objective on behalf of Democrats.
00:05:22.920
And you see this in a lot of major fake news stories from accusing the president of violence when it's the left calling for violence themselves to absolutely abhorrent fake news over Syria and the Turkish invasion of Syria all the way down.
00:05:39.160
But first, I've got to tell you how much I love movement.
00:05:47.020
Well, now movement has something that is so incredibly useful for probably 60 to 70 percent of your day.
00:05:57.240
How much time do you spend in front of a screen?
00:06:03.120
Then you go to your computer and you look at a screen and you read the news.
00:06:07.380
Then you go to work and you're on a screen all day.
00:06:11.320
Whenever you're not looking at the screen on your computer, you're looking down at the screen on your phone.
00:06:14.400
Then you come home, you watch a screen until you go to bed, and then you're scrolling in bed on a screen, and then you try to go to bed.
00:06:21.260
Movements ever scroll blue light filtering glasses will protect your eyes from the blue light that is known to cause eye strain, discomfort, and poor sleeping patterns.
00:06:30.140
I now pretty much don't look at a screen without protecting my eyes from blue light because blue light just kind of keeps you up.
00:06:38.360
The average person spends almost seven hours a day in front of a screen.
00:06:41.380
Movements blue light glasses help to change our habits so that we can keep up with the changing technological world.
00:06:47.980
Ever scroll blue light filtering glasses start at just $65.
00:06:52.240
And let me tell you, you are just going to feel better and more relaxed, and you get to sleep easier.
00:06:58.040
Whether you're at the office or you're scrolling through your phone or you're unwinding from a long day just watching an episode or two,
00:07:11.060
I always get compliments on movement no matter what product it is that I'm wearing because they just look so cool.
00:07:16.420
That could be their watches, their sunglasses, or their ever scroll glasses.
00:07:20.400

00:07:27.740
K-N-O-W-L-E-S, shop, movement, ever scroll, blue light filtering glasses, protect your eyes, and most importantly,
00:07:45.880
So, CNN is more or less admitting, I mean, we've now heard it on tape, that they're pushing impeachment.
00:07:52.000
They don't want their hosts to pal around with Lindsey Graham.
00:08:04.060
Saw this in a big story that came out yesterday.
00:08:12.500
But the story in the mainstream media was so big.
00:08:16.200
According to the mainstream media, if you were reading the news yesterday, Twitter,
00:08:19.240
President Trump participated in a video that showed him murdering members of the mainstream media
00:08:29.060
with a gun, with a pistol, flipping them over, shooting them, killing them.
00:08:37.060
This, according to the mainstream media, CNN, or rather NBC's.
00:08:47.600
Tonight, the White House is trying to distance the president from a disturbing video
00:08:51.520
showing a likeness of him violently attacking his political opponents and the news media.
00:08:56.920
It was apparently played at a conference at one of the president's Florida resorts.
00:09:03.100
They're trying to distance, the White House trying to distance President Trump from a violent,
00:09:08.080
And they obviously would only have to distance him if President Trump had something to do with
00:09:12.180
the video, which, of course, we here at NBC are going to insinuate, even though that isn't true
00:09:17.820
There's no evidence of that whatsoever, and it has no basis in reality.
00:09:26.140
It's an internet meme where it's a scene from the 2014 movie The Kingsman, and it's a scene
00:09:32.160
in which a guy walks in, shoots up a whole church, and the guy walking in in this scene
00:09:38.380
They have, like, Trump's face kind of pasted on the guy, and then on all the people in
00:09:43.580
the congregation, they have different outlets, different news outlets.
00:09:47.340
Not so many people, I mean, one or two, but it's mostly, you know, like the CNBC logo or
00:09:54.320
And Trump walks in and just commits acts of violence on every single one of these outlets.
00:10:04.080
We're going to rip your son from his mother's arms and throw him in a cage full of pedophiles
00:10:10.560
Okay, it goes on like that for a while, and then Trump just blows up the whole group
00:10:42.260
It's obviously very poor quality because it's just still images pasted onto moving bodies,
00:10:48.100
So the real headline is somebody made a meme, and then, and then what actually happened was
00:10:53.080
at a pro-Trump conference, not organized by Trump, not really that closely affiliated
00:10:58.100
with Trump, but an organization that supports Trump, American Priority, had a conference,
00:11:06.940
This conference had a contest for memes, so they put out a call for memes.
00:11:15.360
This was one of the memes, and it was shown in a side room on a small TV with not that
00:11:20.340
There were probably, I don't know, 10 or 15 people watching in the room, and then, and
00:11:25.480
then it became a big news story because the mainstream media saw it, and they played it
00:11:30.300
Now, the meme, as I said, comes from this 2014 movie, The Kingsman.
00:11:34.760
There is a little irony here in that there was no outrage whatsoever when the movie came
00:11:40.520
out, and the movie depicted a guy shooting up an entire church full of people.
00:11:44.800
That, no outrage, but a meme that very few people saw of Trump shooting logos of NBC.
00:11:53.840
The event organizers totally disavowed the video.
00:11:58.040
They said the video was not approved, seen, or sanctioned.
00:12:01.540
AMPF Fest condemns all violence in the strongest terms and only wants to unite Americans.
00:12:09.840
I mean, it's, I guess it's a funny meme in that memes are funny, and they're, they're
00:12:13.740
disrespectful, and, you know, that's what they are.
00:12:16.900
If President Trump had tweeted this out, I would say that's a very bad thing.
00:12:21.580
If some really prominent person in Trump's orbit tweeted this out, I would say that's
00:12:28.420
You don't want to incite violence against Americans.
00:12:31.920
Of course, you, you couldn't say this is unprecedented in our political rhetoric.
00:12:35.920
I mean, let's not forget when we think back of the halcyon days of our republic in the early
00:12:40.100
founding days, uh, say for instance, 1804, when the sitting vice president literally
00:12:45.540
murdered the former treasury secretary with a real pistol in a real duel, you know, there
00:12:51.260
are, there is some precedent for these kinds of things.
00:12:53.120
If, if I have to choose between Aaron Burr, the sitting vice president, killing Alexander
00:12:57.160
Hamilton or some guy making a meme, I'm certainly going to take some guy making a meme, but okay,
00:13:07.360
The White House said, we haven't seen the meme, but we've heard it's no good.
00:13:09.500
So, okay, we condemn it, but that's not good enough for the mainstream media.
00:13:15.400
President, why is it taking you so long to condemn this video?
00:13:22.380
I don't want to hear from your press secretary who says you strongly condemned the video.
00:13:29.820
The video I'm referring to is obtained by the New York times.
00:13:35.260
And CNN has confirmed it was shown at a pro-Trump political conference.
00:13:39.820
And in case you have not seen it, it depicts a killing spree inside of a church, a scene
00:13:48.580
I just need to take one quick break to give me a break.
00:13:54.780
She goes, when is the president going to condemn this?
00:14:00.820
Well, yeah, but he only condemned it through his spokesman.
00:14:04.000
And I don't want to hear it from his spokesman who speaks for him.
00:14:11.860
I want president Trump to take responsibility for something that he had nothing to do with
00:14:15.960
whatsoever that he's already condemned through a spokesman.
00:14:26.400
Meanwhile, outside of a Trump rally in Minneapolis, some leftist thug smacked a woman in the face
00:14:33.980
because she was walking with a guy who was wearing a make America great again sweatshirt.
00:14:47.340
So that actual violence against conservatives, against a, against a woman too.
00:14:53.540
You're not going to see that on the mainstream media.
00:14:55.580
Oh, but Hey, Michael, that was just one event, right?
00:14:57.660
That was just one fringy moment where some random person smacked somebody.
00:15:02.900
That doesn't seem like it's part of a pattern of leftist violence, uh, except for all of
00:15:08.040
the open public calls for leftist violence against conservatives from Hollywood, from politicians
00:15:17.100
Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.
00:15:23.940
And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline
00:15:32.160
station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them
00:15:40.680
New details today on the incident that left Senator Rand Paul with six broken ribs.
00:15:45.840
This might be one of my favorite stories, although of course we don't, uh, want to, uh, clearly
00:15:51.300
President Walker, how do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck?
00:15:54.460
That you cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what
00:16:02.500
That's why I believe if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's
00:16:11.300
But I'd like, I like that you're all a part of it.
00:16:13.520
When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?
00:16:16.760
Okay, well, but a meme, a guy made a meme and it was shown in a little room somewhere.
00:16:31.600
I don't want to hear, well, actually, I don't, as far as I can tell, nobody on the left has
00:16:34.860
apologized for these open calls for violence or the violence itself.
00:16:37.900
But I want to hear from you, Brooke Baldwin, not from one of your spokesmen.
00:16:41.760
I want you to condemn this kind of violence, the calls for violence from the politicians,
00:16:48.120
from the celebrities, and from the mainstream media.
00:16:50.220
I think someone tells me I'm going to be waiting a long time for that.
00:16:52.860
That is, that is the anatomy of a fake news story.
00:16:56.380
Trump needs to distance himself from a disturbing video.
00:17:01.200
Trump needs to apologize for something he has nothing to do with.
00:17:03.780
Meanwhile, the left actually calling for violence, actually committing violence at the highest
00:17:13.120
Speaking of violence and speaking of fake news, ABC News just caught, got caught in a huge fake
00:17:23.920
The United States moved some troops from Northern Syria, 50 to 150 special operators.
00:17:28.780
This was condemned widely by people in the Pentagon and in the national security establishment
00:17:34.860
and the more interventionist Republicans and the convenient left.
00:17:40.920
You know, the left would have been thrilled if Obama had done this, but now they're pretending
00:17:46.560
And the controversy was that we were leaving our Kurdish allies to basically meet a lot of
00:17:54.600
My big, strong, hard line take on Syria was, hey, close your eyes and pick out Syria on
00:18:03.440
And can you name any of the countries around Syria?
00:18:10.060
The situation is much, much more complicated than both sides are pretending that it is.
00:18:16.460
The mainstream media, though, obviously taking the side against President Trump here.
00:18:19.800
They played a video on ABC of the crisis in Syria, so it says new developments, crisis
00:18:25.020
in Syria, ISIS prisoners escape as death toll rises.
00:18:28.640
And they run a report of this really horrific looking footage, allegedly showing the Kurds
00:18:34.600
being shelled like hellfire raining down from heaven by the Turkish forces.
00:18:42.260
There's just one little problem with the report, but here's the report.
00:18:44.320
This video, obtained by ABC News, appears to show the fury of the Turkish attack on the
00:18:51.720
border town of Tel Aviv, a border town bombarded by Turkey's military.
00:18:56.380
This video right here appearing to show Turkey's military bombing Kurd civilians in a Syrian border
00:19:01.780
town, the Kurds who fought alongside the U.S. against ISIS.
00:19:06.200
Now, horrific reports of atrocities committed by Turkish-backed fighters on those very allies.
00:19:18.640
Only problem is that video was not taken of that Kurdish town.
00:19:35.140
That video was taken from a Kentucky gun show in 2017.
00:19:41.880
Those images you're seeing, that's Kentucky, and it's people shooting a bunch of guns and
00:19:54.840
They said, you know, that, this doesn't look right.
00:19:59.660
Did they acknowledge it in a big on-air report on ABC News and primetime?
00:20:08.360
They said, quote, we've taken down video that aired on World News Tonight Sunday and Good
00:20:12.260
Morning America this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after
00:20:20.380
What do you mean it appeared to be from the Syrian border?
00:20:27.360
And after questions were raised, it's not after questions were raised.
00:20:33.240
So, hey, we ran a fake news report and we're not actually going to apologize for it or retract
00:20:48.920
They run the fake story on television and then they post the retraction in a tweet.
00:20:55.340
Maybe, maybe we should question what the mainstream media tell us about foreign affairs,
00:20:59.920
about domestic policy, maybe even about the president of the United States.
00:21:09.880
The most honest person in politics right now, I think, is Beto O'Rourke.
00:21:22.920
It's an at-of-work politician named Beto O'Rourke because Beto O'Rourke is saying a lot of stupid
00:21:29.700
He's making a lot of untrue statements, but he's honest because he is actually showing
00:21:39.820
He raised some firestorm because he was too honest during the LGBTQ town hall on CNN.
00:21:45.860
And during that town hall, he was asked, would you take away tax exempt status from churches
00:21:58.120
If you don't go along with leftist ideology and, and whatever the new definition of marriage
00:22:02.260
is today and whatever the new version of gender ideology is today, then we're going
00:22:10.140
So this caught flack, not because people disagreed with him.
00:22:13.500
Most of the candidates at that CNN debate agreed with the statement.
00:22:17.520
It's because he put it too honestly, put it too bluntly.
00:22:21.940
So Beto O'Rourke was asked about this on MSNBC, MSNBC basically saying, Beto, Beto, cut
00:22:27.500
Don't let, don't tell them what we're really up to.
00:22:30.280
And Beto O'Rourke, to his credit, doubles down.
00:22:33.540
To be clear, you are free to believe anything that you want to in this country, to associate
00:22:39.840
with whom you please, to practice your faith as you best see fit, but you are not allowed
00:22:46.500
to discriminate against people in this country, to violate their civil rights or their human
00:22:53.720
Look, you're, you're allowed to practice your religion, but, and that's that but, makes
00:22:58.920
him a butthead, but you're not really allowed to.
00:23:03.760
What, what does that word mean in the context of religion?
00:23:12.200
If you hold one idea, you are necessarily discriminating against other ideas.
00:23:15.680
If you believe in one God, you are discriminating against other gods.
00:23:19.620
So if you, let's say you got a church and you don't worship Allah and you don't invite
00:23:26.420
people in who worship Allah because you're a Methodist.
00:23:29.220
So you, you worship the Methodist conception of God.
00:23:55.300
So is Fedor working to shut down the Catholic church?
00:24:01.840
Catholic church has endured a little bit longer than, uh, than could be taken down by
00:24:07.120
a one-term congressman or more than a one-term congressman, but now an ex-congressman.
00:24:11.040
I don't, I think the church would probably win out.
00:24:13.560
I, some people are calling on Beto O'Rourke to change his tune.
00:24:17.480
I'm glad that he's telling us what he really thinks.
00:24:21.860
And he's telling us what the left thinks, not just about this issue of gender ideology.
00:24:26.100
He's telling us what they think about religion.
00:24:28.700
Because here's the key, here's the key specific.
00:24:32.740
Beto O'Rourke says people are free to practice their religion within their churches.
00:24:39.860
Once you go outside the church, though, all bets are off.
00:24:42.060
There's a lot of concern that a policy like that, even people of good conscience who agree
00:24:46.060
with you on the underlying point, that conservative black churches, mosques, Islamic organizations,
00:24:52.360
Orthodox Jewish communities, a number of religiously affiliated HBCUs, they could all lose their
00:24:59.700
To be specific, the way that you practice your religion or your faith within that mosque
00:25:06.340
or that temple or synagogue or church, that is your business and not the government's business.
00:25:12.360
But when you are providing services in the public sphere, say higher education or healthcare
00:25:18.200
or adoption services, and you discriminate or deny equal treatment under the law based
00:25:24.440
on someone's skin color or ethnicity or gender or sexual orientation, then we have a problem.
00:25:32.160
So Beto O'Rourke has really, really confused thinking here.
00:25:36.080
He hasn't really thought through these things at all.
00:25:38.360
But I give him credit because the line is that, look, the left always knocks on the churches,
00:25:43.020
but they're usually pretty quiet about the mosques.
00:25:45.660
So they'll accuse Christians of all sorts of terrible bigotry and awful terrible things.
00:25:49.800
They usually lay off the Muslims who are, you know, frankly, a little more hardcore on some
00:25:56.840
He says, yeah, mosques, historically black churches, any socially conservative institution,
00:26:03.320
Now, he says you're free to practice your religion as you want within your church.
00:26:06.660
That contradicts what he just previously said, which is if the church is discriminating,
00:26:12.400
You know, I mean, if the church isn't going to officiate gay weddings, same-sex weddings,
00:26:17.420
then they're going to lose their tax exemption.
00:26:19.100
Well, the same-sex weddings take place inside the church.
00:26:25.900
But then he says again, look, if you, whatever you do inside the church is fine, but whatever
00:26:30.360
you do inside the public sphere, that's not fine.
00:26:35.020
You don't have, most people don't have private chapels in their homes.
00:26:38.000
And even if they do, you have to bring in people from the outside because the church
00:26:42.820
But according to Beto O'Rourke, the government controls everything that is public.
00:26:47.200
And the private sphere is just this tiny little thing.
00:26:51.600
This is in no way what the founding fathers thought about religion.
00:26:56.180
The founding fathers did not believe that freedom of religion meant you could go inside
00:27:01.720
a building once a week and think what you wanted to think.
00:27:04.480
But the minute you left, you didn't have that freedom.
00:27:06.900
Religious practice is not just going to church every so often.
00:27:14.600
We lose sight of that these days because religion has declined dramatically in America.
00:27:19.680
Religious practice isn't just from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday.
00:27:27.360
We have religious liberty to allow people not to have a nice alternative to brunch on Sunday.
00:27:32.500
We have religious liberty because people want to live their lives according to their consciences
00:27:46.600
He doesn't understand a lot of things, but at least he's honest about his thoughts.
00:27:50.060
We have got to say goodbye to Facebook and YouTube.
00:27:52.900
We have got an incredible guest coming up, though.
00:27:56.520
Peter Benjamin is a man who lived with gender confusion for much of his life.
00:28:02.240
He got involved in cross-dressing for many years.
00:28:06.280
He ultimately was told by doctors that he had gender dysphoria.
00:28:12.160
The cost of 10,000 pounds, so around $15,000 to the UK government, it didn't solve his problems.
00:28:21.760
Seven years later, he decided to get out of that and detransition.
00:28:25.640
It's a story you won't see in the mainstream media, but we will bring it to you
00:28:29.340
as the left embraces this radical gender ideology du jour.
00:28:33.360
We will show you the other side from people who actually know something about it.
00:28:42.900
You get me, the Andrew Klavan Show, the Ben Shapiro Show, the Matt Wolfe Show.
00:28:49.400
You get another kingdom, which the third episode just dropped yesterday, and it is terrific,
00:28:57.740
Do not allow yourself to drown during tonight's Democratic debate.
00:29:18.840
You know, I don't do guests a lot on the show, but I just had to bring Peter on because his
00:29:23.900
story is so incredible, and what he's gone through is so harrowing, and his story is not
00:29:34.740
I spoke to Peter yesterday when I was filling in on Ben's radio show, and unfortunately, we
00:29:40.600
We can only speak for a short amount of time, so I wanted to bring him back on my show today.
00:29:47.120
He served in the British Army from the age of 16 to 20, and he went through the transgender
00:29:53.160
surgery in September of 2015 at a private hospital in London.
00:30:00.200
This was after years of beginning the process of transitioning, and he is now in the process
00:30:14.700
I was so sorry that we got cut off yesterday on the radio.
00:30:18.060
I wanted to, I know my audience would love to hear your story because they're not seeing
00:30:25.700
Just in a nutshell, I know it's hard to sum up that many decades of life.
00:30:31.560
How did you find yourself pulled into this kind of gender ideology, and what made you go
00:30:38.760
through with the surgery, and how did you get out of it?
00:30:42.420
I cross-dressed for many years, which meant weekends or evenings, I'd put on women's clothes
00:30:49.880
I was married, but I started in the 80s cross-dressing.
00:30:54.400
And this carried on for many years, and in 2011, my wife died, and I was still cross-dressing.
00:31:04.340
And then there was this surge of people changing gender, and it was on social media, it was
00:31:10.120
in the press, it was online, on Google, and I was reading all this stuff.
00:31:14.600
And I was suffering with depression, anxiety, I had suicidal thoughts.
00:31:21.440
And I went to my GP, and I said to her, I want to change gender.
00:31:28.780
It came across, you know, I thought, I need to change gender.
00:31:33.420
I was also drinking heavily, drinking lots of alcohol, and I made that decision to change gender.
00:31:39.880
So she went away and told me to go and live the real life test for a month, which I did.
00:31:45.760
And then I was sent to a local registrar's psychiatrist, who cut a long story short, said
00:31:58.300
I'm not hormones, I was on antidepressants, I was on all sorts of medication, and I was drinking
00:32:04.480
So I had underlying medical problems, anxiety being one of them, and depression.
00:32:08.200
He referred me on to the Gender Identity Clinic in London, but I couldn't wait, because
00:32:15.540
the alcohol, an alcoholic can't wait, and they become addictive.
00:32:21.900
So I paid for private consultation, and it cost me a lot of money.
00:32:28.260
Then I was referred under the NHS to the Gender Identity Clinic.
00:32:32.220
I saw the same doctor I'd saw privately, twice.
00:32:35.440
And then I saw another doctor, and he said, I'm referring you forward to surgery.
00:32:40.460
But in between, I'd been to a transgender, I was having transgender counselling for a local
00:32:47.000
And my counsellor never once told me, I'm doing the wrong thing.
00:32:51.560
As a matter of fact, he said, you're doing the right thing.
00:32:54.600
You're going down the road, you're doing the right thing.
00:32:56.500
This transgender support group gets money from the lottery funding, it gets money from the
00:33:06.820
Now, a lot of people there have underlying mental health conditions, all mental health
00:33:10.460
conditions, but they're still encouraged to go forward for surgery.
00:33:20.700
I saw my surgeon, I was referred to the surgery, and I had to go on to a private waiting list,
00:33:28.780
And if they breached, they would have been fined a lot of money.
00:33:31.880
I saw my surgeon once, he explained what the operation was going to be.
00:33:35.400
And then I was booked in for December the 15th, 2015.
00:33:54.040
Now, part of my, I say why I had the surgery, part of it was that I thought I could mingle in
00:34:00.500
with other women, go out to ladies that do lunch, go out, um, you know, socially and
00:34:10.720
My, I didn't have a circle of friends, of female friends.
00:34:22.280
But again, that circle of friends that I had before, as a, before my surgery, they didn't
00:34:34.060
So I do what I enjoy these days, walking, swimming, cycling, stuff like that.
00:34:46.880
In, on Good Friday, um, this year, I met a lady when I was out in my local shopping center.
00:34:54.840
I was out evangelizing, telling people about Jesus.
00:35:02.620
Now I was going to church, but I barely knew this lady.
00:35:05.900
And she said, you know, God doesn't want you to be Victoria.
00:35:10.060
And I said, yes, he's been telling me the same, but I wasn't listening.
00:35:15.320
And I knew God had been telling me this clearly.
00:35:22.380
I've got, I can't disobey God's word, voice anymore.
00:35:27.940
I literally packed all my female clothes away, but I had no men's clothes.
00:35:32.700
So I had to go out to a charity shops and buy what I needed and everything else.
00:35:40.200
So I wore them and gradually built up my male wardrobes.
00:35:43.700
I had to go into work to tell them that I'd be transitioned back to male.
00:35:49.040
So I went all through that, but I also had changed churches since I saw that lady.
00:35:55.920
And there was two ladies at my new church who I barely knew, who said that they'd been
00:36:04.300
My pastor also said, someone in this church has got wolves on their back.
00:36:13.220
So I went and did all that, but I also found that I went to a house of prayer, not in my local
00:36:20.660
I also found out this church and the house of prayer had been praying for me as well.
00:36:25.120
So I had all these people praying for me and I didn't know.
00:36:30.140
And I came to churches, Pete, and I was, but all the time I was, as Victoria, I was loved.
00:36:37.940
As Pete, I am loved by my church and it's fantastic.
00:36:50.620
The medication has had side effects on me from being on the female hormones, but I'm
00:37:03.720
And I was told I need to go back to the gender identity clinic to sort out the dysphoria.
00:37:20.880
I mean, I'm so sorry to hear all the things you had to go through.
00:37:24.380
And I'm very glad to hear that it seems to have worked out in the end.
00:37:29.720
In terms of that moment that you came back, I mean, I guess there are two moments I want
00:37:38.500
The moment where you have the surgery and you kind of go all the way through to appear
00:37:48.320
Did it, did it meet your expectations in terms of how you felt in your own body?
00:37:54.200
Obviously it didn't meet your social expectations, but did it, did you feel like a woman after
00:38:05.540
I just felt like I always had done as Pete, except I hadn't had my male genitalia, but
00:38:17.300
I used to, now I can walk out my front door and do what I want to do.
00:38:21.160
But then it would take me an hour, maybe half an hour to get out that door.
00:38:26.380
I was so anxious, so nervous going to face the simple thing, like going to the shops.
00:38:37.100
I was on all these tablets as well, um, for the anxiety, but no, I didn't feel like a woman
00:38:43.960
I was, I felt like, you know, there was no difference in me.
00:38:47.820
I just, it was a chore at the end of the day to put the clothes on.
00:38:51.160
But it, it, it was a routine that I had, but it was more of a chore.
00:38:57.360
There was no, there was no feelings whatsoever.
00:39:00.460
And my doctor said to me, when I went and told her I reverted my gender or re, changed
00:39:15.600
She, she was, yeah, she hit the nail on the head.
00:39:21.140
What some people would say, the people who are still pushing this transgender, uh, surgery
00:39:27.020
and, and transgender movement for everybody is they would say, well, you know, this is
00:39:31.660
just evidence that society needs to be better at, uh, considering people who have had this
00:39:38.640
gender surgery to be, really be the gender that they are now identifying as.
00:39:43.480
Do you think that's the issue or do you think the issue is really deeper down that deep down
00:39:48.460
you knew that you were Pete and you weren't really Victoria and that's why you feel better
00:39:54.600
No, it wasn't that I, before the surgery, I felt like Victoria.
00:40:01.120
I, I would, I felt about even after, yeah, I felt as a woman.
00:40:16.000
I can't explain that because my DNA hasn't been changed.
00:40:19.800
I've always been a man inside, but how does a woman feel?
00:40:27.140
It's nice putting on the nice dresses and looking nice and smart.
00:40:30.420
And I did have some nice clothes, but how does a woman feel?
00:40:40.260
I mean, this, what, what, I mean, I'm so glad that you have, have now found peace in
00:40:46.640
all of that, having had to go through hell basically and come back out the other side.
00:40:50.740
Although now we're, I mean, when we're talking about these gender identity issues, it seems
00:40:59.020
And, uh, people are now pushing this ideology on not just adult men and encouraging them to
00:41:04.800
get the surgery and encouraging them to identify as the opposite sex.
00:41:09.120
They're, they're also now pushing this on children.
00:41:11.680
I mean, children in the single digits, what, uh, where does this come from?
00:41:17.580
And, and, uh, do you have any, any warning, any message for, for the doctors and the parents
00:41:23.140
and the children who might be going through this?
00:41:26.040
A lot of warnings, but I don't know where the children, where the children idea came from,
00:41:35.420
Like if I go on my phone and I've got an app for my television programs, the first thing
00:41:40.040
I see is something like RuPaul, RuPaul's Drag Race on there.
00:41:45.580
There's loads of programs on people on English television about transgender and children are
00:41:52.280
watching it and they're getting glamorized by it.
00:41:58.420
They're, um, the medication that they're on, they're going to have, when the girls get
00:42:04.780
older, they'll have to have hysterectomies, um, when they become 18 or whatever, boys will
00:42:15.180
There's all the problems of blood clots, cardiac problems.
00:42:18.740
I'm not a doctor, but this is, um, liver problems, kidney problems.
00:42:23.300
There's going to be all sorts of problems as they grow older.
00:42:26.400
Why can't they just let children be who they are and grow up?
00:42:30.800
Yeah, they go in the, I went in the dressing up box and I put on, um, my old dad's army
00:42:35.580
uniforms, but I don't go around wearing army uniform all the time now, but why can't they
00:42:42.820
And parents should watch out, um, what they're letting their children watch.
00:42:48.420
I was taken in by, um, what I saw on the, on the, on the websites on pro, on things like
00:42:57.580
I wasn't in, I was ill at the time and I was taken in by all this.
00:43:02.060
And this is what's happening to children and other transgender people.
00:43:07.520
My children were affected by it because of what I did.
00:43:17.320
Well, it sounds, I mean, obviously, you know, people, uh, people have all sorts of regrets.
00:43:23.380
It sounds though, like you've, uh, you've come to a place that is one of, uh, peace and,
00:43:28.860
uh, uh, uh, being a little more, uh, accepting of, of who you are and your identity.
00:43:44.060
Well, it's amazing, it's, it's really, it's an amazing story and as, uh, sorry as I am
00:43:50.300
to hear that you had, you had to suffer so much along the way, physically and emotionally,
00:43:54.360
there is a, uh, there is, I suppose, a hope that your suffering could show people and give
00:44:02.320
people a warning and, and shed some light on this issue, which is really being, uh, twisted
00:44:08.380
and, and you're really only seeing one side of it in the mainstream media and it's having
00:44:11.900
real effects, not just on adults, but on, on children.
00:44:17.720
I've taken up much of your time already, but thank you so much, uh, and best of luck and,
00:44:28.460
That is, uh, Peter Benjamin, incredible, incredible story.
00:44:31.820
And there are, you know, on the Candace Owens show, she just interviewed Walt Heyer,
00:44:35.700
who is another guy who identified as the opposite sex for about the same period of time.
00:44:43.160
And it, it actually, I believe it made his, his depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts
00:44:48.160
And now he's out of it and he feels much more at peace.
00:44:50.560
That's the other side of the story that you won't hear in the mainstream media, because
00:44:53.940
that's the difference between truth and fake news.
00:45:01.960
