The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 46 - The Democrats Colluded With Russia

00:00:00.000 You may have noticed your lefty friends have suddenly gone mum on Donald Trump's alleged nefarious collusion with Russia.

00:00:07.540 That's because after 11 months of incessant accusations that Trump is a Putin puppet,

00:00:12.560 it turns out that the Democrats colluded with Russia.

00:00:15.740 You cannot make this up.

00:00:17.540 We will analyze the most egregious political hypocrisy since all of the other parts of Hillary Clinton's campaign.

00:00:23.220 Then, Alicia Krauss and Jacob Erie join the panel of deplorables to discuss Kid Rock's abdicating his civic duty,

00:00:30.740 Frederica Wilson's 16th minute of fame, and why men would rather play video games than work.

00:00:36.980 I can't imagine.

00:00:38.000 I'm Michael Knowles and this is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:00:47.540 This is my favorite news cycle in a very long time.

00:00:50.800 But first, we can't get to it because we've hit the big time.

00:00:54.320 We have finally hit the big time, Marshall.

00:00:56.080 We have a new sponsor.

00:00:57.340 We have someone that is going to keep you employed, keep me in covfefe and the lights running.

00:01:02.540 And this is a good one.

00:01:03.580 This is Movement Watches.

00:01:06.140 MVMT, but we pronounce it movement, because, look, we don't have time for all those vowels.

00:01:09.780 We've got places to be, people to see.

00:01:12.320 Movement Watches, it was founded on the belief that style shouldn't break the bank.

00:01:16.500 Now, I've ordered my Movement Watch.

00:01:18.780 One of the great things about doing this show, obviously Ben hasn't paid me in years,

00:01:24.540 but I do get some freebies when we get to try out the products.

00:01:27.940 I have been waiting.

00:01:29.060 I have been salivating for Movement to advertise with us.

00:01:31.740 I just ordered the watch from them, and I'm actually kind of kicking myself

00:01:34.840 because they have this new line that just came out today, I think, or yesterday, called Revolver.

00:01:39.480 And these watches are some of the nicest ones they've put out yet.

00:01:42.840 I love watches.

00:01:43.660 I have a nice watch collection, but I hate, I despise overpaying for watches.

00:01:49.520 You go into a department store, you pay $300, $400, more than that, $500 for, you know,

00:01:56.040 the watches are nice, but I don't want to spend $500 on it.

00:01:58.900 Movement Watches begin at $95.

00:02:01.740 Just $95 for a beautiful watch.

00:02:04.340 It's sleek.

00:02:05.060 It's modern.

00:02:05.660 But it's got a pretty cool vintage feel on a lot of their models, especially the one that I got.

00:02:10.680 I got the Titanium White Chrono, and it should be coming in a few days, so I'll start wearing it then.

00:02:16.400 It's really cool.

00:02:17.380 The guys who started it, they figured it out in college.

00:02:20.500 They wanted nice watches.

00:02:21.580 They didn't want to pay a lot for it.

00:02:22.900 So what would you do?

00:02:23.720 Well, you'd start your own watch company, right?

00:02:25.360 That's what they did.

00:02:27.140 You know, they started at $95.

00:02:28.300 They figured out that by selling them online, you don't need to mark it up like crazy and pay all of these advertising fees and everything like that.

00:02:36.680 So they've sold over 1 million watches so far.

00:02:40.020 This is by far the fastest-growing watch company in the world.

00:02:43.060 They've sold a million watches to 160 countries.

00:02:47.600 You know, it's really nice.

00:02:48.840 The name of the game here is kind of minimalism.

00:02:51.440 It's not one of those really gaudy watches that, like, brushes your teeth for you.

00:02:55.460 It's really sleek.

00:02:56.940 You can wear it up.

00:02:58.880 You can dress it up.

00:02:59.880 You can wear it as your everyday watch.

00:03:02.620 I'm going to try to twist the arm of the people who do our ads and try to get a few so I can play around with them.

00:03:09.860 The other nice thing is that today you get 15% off if you use the promo code.

00:03:15.900 And, Marshall, what do you think that promo code is?

00:03:19.020 I'd say covfefe.

00:03:20.080 It would be covfefe.

00:03:21.360 So what you have to do right now, you get free shipping.

00:03:23.780 You get free returns.

00:03:24.700 You have to go to mvmt.com slash covfefe.

00:03:29.200 That is C-O-V-F-E-F-E. 1.00

00:03:32.740 Any company that is willing to give you a discount for the word covfefe, go over there right now and give them some love, man.

00:03:38.920 That is a great thing.

00:03:40.220 M-V-M-T dot com slash covfefe.

00:03:44.040 Now is the time to step up your watch game.

00:03:46.260 If you're a serious person, you've got places to be, people to see, so you've got to wear a watch.

00:03:51.740 M-V-M-T dot com slash covfefe.

00:03:55.100 Join the movement.

00:03:56.500 All right.

00:03:57.700 Man, I love that promo code so much.

00:04:00.720 That is so good.

00:04:02.480 Okay.

00:04:03.040 But they're obviously, they're a great company and you've got to support them.

00:04:06.080 So do you remember, listen, I'm a little older than you, dear listener and viewer.

00:04:11.760 So do you remember how Democrats have spent the last 11 months breathlessly accusing Donald Trump and Republicans of, quote, colluding with Russia?

00:04:21.380 I have no memory of that.

00:04:22.460 You don't remember.

00:04:22.940 I know.

00:04:23.520 People's political memories are very short.

00:04:25.500 Let me jog your memory.

00:04:27.420 This week we saw cold, hard evidence of the Trump campaign, indeed the Trump family, eagerly intending to collude possibly with Russia.

00:04:40.060 Well, that's because he'd rather have a puppet as president of the United States.

00:04:43.760 No puppet.

00:04:44.180 And it's pretty clear you won't admit that the Russians have engaged in cyber attacks against the United States of America, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you are willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants to do,

00:05:06.400 and that you continue to get help from him because he has a very clear favorite in this race.

00:05:15.080 Clinton told USA Today's Susan Page she is, quote, convinced Trump associates colluded with Russia to help her opponent win.

00:05:22.660 She's convinced Hillary says it, folks.

00:05:24.820 She got it.

00:05:25.200 When has Hillary Clinton ever lied? 1.00

00:05:26.560 Let me ask you that.

00:05:27.300 They have been harping on this for 11 months now, and then it just went away.

00:05:32.540 And then just overnight it just went away.

00:05:34.120 And you don't see it reported anymore.

00:05:36.200 For some reason it dropped out of the news.

00:05:37.700 My fiancée, I was writing this show a few mornings ago.

00:05:40.540 My fiancée, sweet little Elisa, came out all bleary-eyed. 0.94

00:05:42.880 She said, Mike, what happened to Russia?

00:05:46.420 What happened?

00:05:46.880 I don't know what happened to Russia.

00:05:48.680 I assumed they stopped talking about it because it ran out of steam.

00:05:52.840 You know, they kept trying to imply that Trump, who is a guy that we've known for four decades, he's been in the public eye forever, that he was some kind of Manchurian candidate.

00:06:00.740 Even top Democrats like Van Jones admitted that this was nonsense.

00:06:05.320 Cyber war is real war.

00:06:07.920 So you have an active attack on our country, and you have the president-elect cannot find it in himself to say this is wrong.

00:06:16.340 And it needs to stop.

00:06:20.080 Hey, man.

00:06:20.880 The Russia thing is a big nothing burger.

00:06:24.960 Really?

00:06:26.360 You don't think that, uh...

00:06:28.660 There's nothing there you can do.

00:06:29.720 No!

00:06:30.600 The Russia thing is a big nothing burger.

00:06:32.520 There's nothing you can do.

00:06:33.640 So I thought, I assume that was why this ran out of steam.

00:06:36.880 They just realized it wasn't going to go anywhere.

00:06:39.420 They used it as a cudgel as long as they could.

00:06:41.460 But that's it.

00:06:42.540 Eventually, you can't beat a dead horse.

00:06:44.700 No.

00:06:45.320 No.

00:06:45.540 That's not what it seems like now.

00:06:47.040 Apparently now, the reason they've shut their mouths about it is because the Democrats may have colluded with Russia.

00:06:53.120 We've learned that just as...

00:06:54.660 You couldn't write this.

00:06:56.260 You couldn't script a better end to this nonsense that they've been spatting for 11 months.

00:07:01.740 Now, they do this a lot.

00:07:03.040 The Democrats do this a lot.

00:07:04.060 They project onto Republicans the things that are true of themselves.

00:07:08.060 So they harp on forever and ever to say, the Fox News is fake news.

00:07:12.340 You know, it's fake news, and you don't get reliable news like us.

00:07:16.040 Meanwhile, CNN is running fraudulent stories, a story within the last three months so bad they had to fire an entire news team for it.

00:07:23.020 New York Times, their major story on Trump-Russia collusion, they had to retract it.

00:07:27.520 They had to retract the whole story.

00:07:28.940 Jim Comey said that it was fake news under oath when he was testifying before Congress. 0.76

00:07:33.680 The other one that they use a lot is that Republicans are hateful and extreme.

00:07:39.960 So they'll say, you know, you guys, you just hate your haters. 0.97

00:07:43.120 You're bigoted. 0.99

00:07:43.880 You're racist, sexist, this, that, and the other thing. 0.99

00:07:46.400 Meanwhile, it's almost exclusively Democrats who are torching cities, torching campuses, censoring speech. 0.88

00:07:52.800 They have to spend $600,000 to protect Ben Shapiro when he comes to Berkeley because he's going to talk about how you shouldn't censor speech.

00:08:00.860 But no, it's the Republicans who are the hateful ones.

00:08:02.660 They say Republicans deny science.

00:08:05.140 Meanwhile, it's the Democrats who are the ones who insist that a man can physically become a woman as long as he wishes it very much or he imagines it or he identifies as that in some metaphysical way, right?

00:08:18.940 Denying science, fake news, hateful and bigoted.

00:08:21.360 They throw it on us, but obviously it seems to apply more accurately to them.

00:08:25.780 Now, by collusion, I am not just talking about the time that Barack Obama publicly, on video and on microphone, promised the president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, that he would lie to the American people to benefit Russian interests.

00:08:41.060 But to jog your memory, here it is.

00:08:43.540 My last election.

00:08:44.540 My last election.

00:08:45.540 After my election, I have more flexibility.

00:08:46.540 My last election.

00:08:47.540 I have more flexibility.

00:08:48.540 Yeah.

00:08:49.540 That's unbelievable.

00:08:59.540 This is my last election.

00:09:01.540 This is my last election.

00:09:02.540 I'll have more flexibility after my election.

00:09:06.540 I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

00:09:10.540 So we caught him on a video doing that.

00:09:13.540 But that's not just what I'm talking about.

00:09:15.540 NBC News is now reporting Special Counselor Mueller, who is investigating the Trump-Russia connections.

00:09:20.540 He is investigating also Democrat lobbyist Tony Podesta.

00:09:25.540 Podesta, why does that name sound familiar?

00:09:27.540 Ah, yes, because he's the brother of the chairman of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

00:09:32.540 So apparently Podesta and the Podesta Group may have violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which is a felony, by the way.

00:09:39.540 He failed to disclose lucrative lobbying for Russian interests in the Ukraine.

00:09:44.540 That isn't all we know.

00:09:46.540 We also know that the FBI had evidence for two years that Russian agents, including a major sleeper cell, was trying to infiltrate the Clinton circle.

00:09:54.540 We know that a Putin-linked bank paid Bill Clinton $500,000, half a million dollars, just a few weeks after Hillary helped American executives travel to Moscow to support Putin's interests to build his own version of Silicon Valley, to build up his own Russian tech industry.

00:10:13.540 We also know that the Obama administration knew about Russian bribery before cutting a deal to give Russia a major chunk of the U.S. uranium supply.

00:10:21.540 The FBI knew as early as 2009 that the Kremlin had compromised an American uranium trucking company.

00:10:27.540 Russia received $2 million in kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corruptions Practices Act.

00:10:34.540 Russian nuclear officials transported millions of dollars into the United States with the express purpose of benefiting the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative, to try to buy their way into the Clinton circle and the State Department.

00:10:47.540 We know that Obama's attorney general, Eric Holder, who is the most corrupt attorney general until Obama's next attorney general, Loretta Lynch, we know that he did not bring charges about this until the nuclear deals were cut.

00:11:02.540 And we know that the first deal, Uranium One, gave Russia control over 20% of America's uranium supply.

00:11:09.540 That is a little bit more than Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton were throwing at Donald Trump. 0.78

00:11:14.540 They said, well, there were too many Pepe memes on Twitter.

00:11:17.540 Obviously, they colluded with Russia.

00:11:19.540 It looks like there's a little bit more on Democrats.

00:11:21.540 So sorry, fellas, proceed with caution.

00:11:23.540 Those in glass houses should not throw uranium at Republicans.

00:11:27.540 Let's bring on our panel to discuss this.

00:11:29.540 We have the Daily Wire zone, Alicia Krauss, and a man you might know from wandering around the sidewalk muttering to himself, Jacob Airy.

00:11:36.540 Panel, thank you for being here.

00:11:38.540 Thanks.

00:11:39.540 Thank you.

00:11:40.540 Alicia, the question on everyone's mind.

00:11:41.540 Yep.

00:11:42.540 Who most colluded with Russia?

00:11:44.540 Who is the most nefarious Putin stooge Manchurian politician? 1.00

00:11:50.540 Is it the Democrats or the Republicans?

00:11:52.540 I don't know that I can answer that off the top of my head, but can I just shout feminists? 1.00

00:11:56.540 Because Emily Zanotti had a really great piece over at the Daily Wire earlier today in which she said that feminists actually accidentally touted Russia's propaganda when they planned their whole women's march thing. 0.99

00:12:06.540 Oh, brother.

00:12:07.540 And I spent so much time pointing and laughing at that this morning.

00:12:10.540 It just brought me so much glee.

00:12:12.540 And as the mother on the show today, I would just like to say that no one should ever be throwing uranium.

00:12:17.540 Do not throw uranium. Keep it down, kids. And you gave the only answer that is better than Democrats, and that's feminists. 1.00

00:12:24.540 Blame the feminists. I do it for everything. 1.00

00:12:26.540 Jacob, why did it take so long for the media to cover the Russia corruption on the left?

00:12:33.540 I noticed there's been breathless coverage on the right. How come it's taken this long?

00:12:37.540 We've known about this for years now. We've known about this for eight years.

00:12:40.540 I think it's partially due to social media, and people are going, what about-ism?

00:12:47.540 Like, they're saying, you know, when they say, oh, Trump's son met with a Russian lawyer or whatever, and they're like, what about Hillary's deal to bring in a Russian oil company to the United States?

00:12:58.540 And now they can't ignore it, because before, you just had to take the journalists' words for it, right?

00:13:03.540 You had to go to the CNN and go to the New York Times and even Fox News.

00:13:07.540 But now, with social media, people are actually calling out the mainstream media for all these mistakes.

00:13:13.540 So now they can't hide it anymore.

00:13:15.540 Now, when they're actually perpetuating these fake news stories, people are noticing, and they're holding them accountable.

00:13:24.540 Do you think it's sinking in with Democrats? I mean, obviously, Van Jones is admitting it's a nothing burger.

00:13:29.540 But with the rank-and-file Democrats, do you think it's sinking in that this Trump-Russia collusion thing is ridiculous, that it's not going to get them anywhere politically? 0.90

00:13:39.540 I think they thought it was ridiculous to begin with.

00:13:42.540 Again, it's one of those don't-look-at-yourself-in-the-mirror type of situations, you know, the pot calling the kettle black in this case.

00:13:51.540 I think that they knew it from the beginning, but now the American people are going, listen, we want to talk about jobs.

00:13:58.540 Trump won. Let's talk about the economy. Let's talk about our foreign policy, which was disastrous for the last eight years.

00:14:04.540 So I think they've just decided we just need to move on because the American people aren't taking our bullcrap anymore.

00:14:09.540 You watch your language, mister. This is a family program.

00:14:12.540 I love it. I love it. My mom would call that imitation cussing, Jacob, so be careful.

00:14:19.540 We do. Even our expletives are wholesome. That's what we try to do on a family show.

00:14:24.540 Okay, well, we need to get to one of the craziest Democrats in the entire planet, Frederica Wilson and her 16th minute of fame. 1.00

00:14:32.540 We have to talk about why men would rather play video games than do their jobs. Shocking.

00:14:37.540 We have a lot of other things to cover, but unfortunately, you can't see it.

00:14:42.540 If you are not subscribed to The Daily Wire, you can't see the rest of the show.

00:14:46.540 We have a lot more coming up. If you subscribe right now, you'll pay $10 a month or $100 for an annual membership.

00:14:52.540 You'll get me. You get The Andrew Klavan Show. You get The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:14:56.540 I know. We've heard it a million times. What about this, fellas? What about this?

00:15:01.540 In light of the new information that's come to the surface that Democrats have colluded with Russia, this Leftist Tears Tumblr,

00:15:10.540 you're going to need about 100 of these. You're going to have to put them all over your house.

00:15:13.540 It's going to be a Noah-like torrent of salty, salty floods.

00:15:18.540 And you can serve those tears hot or cold. They'll always be salty and delicious.

00:15:22.540 We can get the Frederica Wilson vintage. We can get the Hillary vintage.

00:15:26.540 You're not going to know what to do with them. You'll get creative and make your own blends.

00:15:30.540 So go over there right now, dailywire.com. Get all the shows, get the ad-free website, and get your Leftist Tears Tumblr.

00:15:37.540 We'll be right back.

00:15:43.540 Speaking of crazy Democrat conspiracy theories, let's get into Frederica Wilson, a woman who actually does wear a tinfoil cowboy hat. 1.00

00:15:58.540 She is, and of course it's a Florida woman, right? Florida woman is seeking her 16th minute of fame, politicizing a heroic fallen soldier. 0.79

00:16:06.540 She is now calling the incident in which the soldier in question was killed Trump's Benghazi. Here she is.

00:16:13.540 This is going to be this administration's Benghazi. This is going to be Trump's Benghazi, Trump's Niger.

00:16:25.540 I really like this attack that they're trying now. I think the attack is going to fall flat.

00:16:31.540 But what she probably doesn't realize is that by calling this Niger attack Trump's Benghazi, she's acknowledging that Benghazi is Benghazi, right?

00:16:41.540 Acknowledging that Benghazi is Hillary's Benghazi, which they denied for years, and now it's convenient, so they'll have to admit reality.

00:16:50.640 Washington Post is already jumping on this bandwagon. They're saying there was a fight for an hour or two hours, and Donald Trump didn't do anything.

00:16:58.780 I mean, the Washington Post has lost any credibility, if it ever possessed any, but it is really pathetic. It's so transparent, and thankfully their friends at Google News threw this story to the top of the heap today.

00:17:12.500 Global stories worldwide, they threw this one right up there.

00:17:15.520 Jacob, has this sunken with Democrats yet? Are they ready to admit? Obviously, there's a premise, there's an implication that if this is Trump's Benghazi, then Benghazi was Hillary's Benghazi.

00:17:30.800 Would they be willing to admit that now? Now that Hillary is no longer a candidate, she's not going to run again until 2020 and 2024 and 2028 and 2032. 1.00

00:17:39.900 So will they admit that that was a huge failure, both in the event and the cover-up?

00:17:46.020 I honestly think no. I think this congresswoman, I think she slipped. I think it was a Freudian slip. She messed up. I'm sure she probably meant to say Iraq or Afghanistan, but just Benghazi popped into her head.

00:18:00.180 I honestly think that it was either that or she's a Bernie sister, and she wants someone like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders to challenge Trump in 2020.

00:18:10.300 But I honestly, I doubt that. I honestly think she's just so kooky. She forgot, oh my gosh, Benghazi happened during the Obama administration.

00:18:19.540 She just didn't put two and two together.

00:18:21.960 It was disgraceful. They asked her about the controversy and how she's politicized Gold Star families, and her response was, I'm a rock star now.

00:18:29.680 Yeah, that was ridiculous, and to be honest, she's not a supporter of veterans.

00:18:35.660 She's blocked or attempted to block reforms of the Veteran Affairs Department. 0.78

00:18:41.560 She's voted against funding to go to other veteran legislation.

00:18:48.320 I'm telling you, she is just playing this up, and like she said, she's a rock star. 0.99

00:18:52.220 Mm-hmm. She's a rock star. Alicia, is Niger Trump's Benghazi? Is there any small ounce of truth to that accusation?

00:19:01.900 I'm a big fan of General Dempsey, and General Dempsey had a pretty in-depth press conference yesterday in which some Fox News reporters and, of course, all members of the press were there,

00:19:10.560 and asked him very direct questions about why were we there, why did Sergeant Johnson go missing, how did the DOD handle it, what was the White House's response, when did the White House find out?

00:19:21.700 And he had answers for all of these questions, questions that if you'd ask the Obama administration the same thing after Benghazi, they did not have the answers to,

00:19:29.440 and they sent Secretary Rice out there on her Sunday show Roundup, you know, lying and spreading lies about it. 1.00

00:19:35.440 Another thing that they lied about that we've talked about in the news today is Sergeant Bo Bergdahl.

00:19:39.740 You know, we had Rice tell us that he served with honor and distinction, and now he could go to prison for life because he's admitted to desertion, desertion that put his fellow troops at risk.

00:19:49.480 It got six of them killed. Six soldiers were killed looking for the guy.

00:19:53.360 Yeah, and so there's definitely, I agree with Jacob, I think Congresswoman Wilson maybe had a Freudian slip and didn't mean to say that,

00:20:01.940 because not only would this reopen the Benghazi discussion in the mainstream media if they were actually doing their jobs regarding Hillary Clinton's involvement,

00:20:09.100 but President Barack Obama's involvement as well.

00:20:11.380 Yes.

00:20:11.820 And just for those of you who are unaware, a Freudian slip is where you say one thing, but you mean your mother.

00:20:16.720 General Dempsey did not blame the attack on a YouTube video, I noticed, as you pointed out.

00:20:22.340 Is there, forget Trump for a minute and Hillary, is there any way to compare what happened in Benghazi to our consulate,

00:20:32.160 first American ambassador killed in decades, and this operation that happened in Niger?

00:20:39.240 Is there any moral equivalence at all?

00:20:41.620 Are you asking me or do you?

00:20:43.140 I'm always asking you.

00:20:44.300 You're with all the answers.

00:20:45.340 If I want lunatic ravings, I'll talk to Jacob.

00:20:47.240 No, I think, no, there is zero comparison, especially because you saw that Ambassador Stevens had sent hundreds of requests for security.

00:20:55.100 As you mentioned, he was a diplomat.

00:20:57.380 There, it was a compound there that should have been protected that the State Department totally failed on.

00:21:02.740 This was a DOD mission.

00:21:04.220 This was a military mission.

00:21:05.840 They were there, and it seems as if there was an awful mishap in which Sergeant Johnson came upon the enemy in an area that they didn't expect to happen,

00:21:13.520 and that's why he went missing, and they didn't find his body until two days later, and I am a big fan of veterans.

00:21:19.820 I come from a military family.

00:21:21.200 One of my dearest friends is a Gold Star widow, Jane Horton, and I think that Trump's response to this has not been appropriate,

00:21:27.800 but Congresswoman Wilson should be ashamed of herself. 1.00

00:21:30.740 I understand that she has a personal relationship with this family, but you do not use this as a political, you know, go-ahead,

00:21:38.120 and that's exactly what she's done, and it's really unfortunate.

00:21:41.420 Absolutely right, and, you know, I do see the one mistake you made there in your analysis of Benghazi.

00:21:48.680 You clearly missed all of the humor that Ambassador Stevens was putting into his e-mails.

00:21:53.640 Some people forget that when asked why Hillary Clinton didn't give him the security that he asked for,

00:21:59.460 she said, oh, that old Chris Stevens, he's such a jokester.

00:22:02.240 That was one of the best things about Chris.

00:22:04.020 You guys don't understand it, but when he was begging for additional security because they were worried about terrorists running,

00:22:09.760 it was just a joke, it was just a big joke.

00:22:11.820 It was, yeah, so, I mean, just try to read the humor a little bit next time, Alicia.

00:22:15.780 It's like, you don't even understand these Clinton e-mails.

00:22:19.480 Okay, we've got to move on.

00:22:20.640 I can't, if we talk about Hillary Clinton anymore, I'm going to rip my hair out.

00:22:24.020 We need to talk about someone else who has abdicated public service, Kid Rock, I'm sorry to say.

00:22:30.560 Kid Rock, he's not running for Senate.

00:22:32.440 We were all looking forward to it.

00:22:34.000 This was the MAGA revolution.

00:22:35.580 This is the next phase of it.

00:22:37.160 I would actually argue, I've got to say, I don't think it was the MAGA revolution.

00:22:40.680 I know you love you some Donald Trump, Michael.

00:22:42.920 Of course, yeah.

00:22:43.480 But Kid Rock has done more for the Republican Party and GOP presidential nominees than Donald Trump ever did until he ran in 2016.

00:22:51.920 Let's not forget that.

00:22:52.560 He's been around a long time.

00:22:53.940 Kid Rock was out stumping for Mitt frickin' Romney.

00:22:56.800 That's true.

00:22:57.140 I mean, it's hilarious.

00:22:58.340 And then my favorite Kid Rock quote of all time is when he was asked what he thought about Mitt Romney.

00:23:03.460 He said, that's a, like, he said, that's like a decent F-word dude.

00:23:06.540 And it's such a Kid Rock answer.

00:23:08.820 I am really disappointed because I wanted the battles of the late 90s, early 2000s, like, music artists to happen in 2020.

00:23:16.680 Or whether it was in the Senate race, like, Eminem versus Kid Rock, I was really waiting for it to happen.

00:23:21.460 And recently, while listening to Kid Rock, when he shouted, my name is Kid, my four-year-old said, why is his name Kid?

00:23:28.060 And I was like, I don't know because he isn't a Kid, but he might be senator of Michigan one day.

00:23:33.200 Senator Kid, I know.

00:23:34.860 It is really sad.

00:23:35.820 And by the way, when I think of rock and roll, I do think of Mitt Romney.

00:23:38.940 You could have had Snoop Diggity Doo-Wop having some new songs in the election cycle.

00:23:43.840 All of that is gone.

00:23:44.980 I did call this right when it came out.

00:23:47.180 Everyone was, there was a little website that went up Kid Rock for Senate.

00:23:50.160 Everyone was freaking out.

00:23:51.840 The way you knew it wasn't real is that it was paid for by a company.

00:23:55.900 It was just paid for by a regular old, I forget, it was a record label or his personal company.

00:24:01.100 It wouldn't have worked with the FEC.

00:24:03.940 So I unfortunately had a gut feeling all the way going in that Kid Rock was not going to serve our country as we all hoped he would.

00:24:13.560 Jacob, is this a positive sign for the culture or is it devastatingly sad?

00:24:18.560 Both.

00:24:20.860 I think that it is both sad and that it is a positive sign for the culture.

00:24:25.080 What a brave position you're staking out here.

00:24:28.000 Yeah, you got to have it both ways.

00:24:29.380 But I don't think it was realistic to begin with.

00:24:33.340 I think that he just did it.

00:24:34.440 He sold a lot of t-shirts.

00:24:35.720 He sold a lot of merch.

00:24:37.200 So he's happy.

00:24:38.520 I think he probably could have gotten away with it if he had ran in Florida or Minnesota.

00:24:42.100 But Michigan, they tend to take their politics just a little bit more seriously.

00:24:47.020 Some people think that's what Donald Trump was doing, that he was just out there selling hats and then by the end of the joke he became the president.

00:24:53.500 So maybe Kid Rock could have done it too.

00:24:55.900 I think he really could have done it.

00:24:57.300 I mean, like when Kid Rock has a statement out that just breaks down in layman's terms the importance of smaller government and why big government sucks, and I'm like, oh my God, I love this.

00:25:10.460 I mean, I would have relocated to Michigan where my in-laws are, by the way, so it would have been too hard just to vote for him, seriously.

00:25:18.100 Well, at least we don't need to move to Daily Wire Studios now.

00:25:20.360 That's one good thing.

00:25:21.100 Okay, in, man, nothing sums up 2017 more than this next story.

00:25:27.200 There's a new study out that shows that men are, grown men, are playing more video games now.

00:25:32.940 They're underemployed as a result of it, and that they would, they're actually happier.

00:25:36.920 So they'd rather play video games than go to work, and it's made them happier, which is somewhat surprising.

00:25:42.080 According to research from economists from Princeton, the University of Rochester, and UChicago,

00:25:46.920 non-college educated men are spending as much as 40 hours a week playing video games,

00:25:53.300 and evidence shows that the reason they're doing this is because young men like instant ratification, you don't say.

00:26:01.480 This is one of the quotes from one of the professors.

00:26:04.340 Happiness has gone up for this group despite employment percentages having fallen.

00:26:09.460 This is like Fox Butterfield, by the way.

00:26:11.320 They would say crime drops despite prisons filling, but they think it's a paradox, but really it makes perfect sense.

00:26:17.440 Yes, happiness has gone up as these men aren't working anymore.

00:26:21.220 Living with their parents is going up, and that's different than for any other group.

00:26:27.300 Alicia, is there a cultural analog here to anything, or is this something new?

00:26:31.500 Is this something we should be worried about, all these young rapscallions playing their video games and listening to rock and roll?

00:26:37.840 Well, it's been a problem that we've had with millennials in general, not just millennial men.

00:26:41.900 This study showed that 88% of those men are still going out and getting jobs,

00:26:46.240 but now the number is up to 22% that just really don't care about getting jobs.

00:26:50.180 Something that I could tell them would potentially give them instant gratification is if you get a job, you get a woman, 1.00

00:26:56.000 and then you get something else that gratifies you.

00:26:59.240 So maybe you guys should go out and do that, because it doesn't just help you as an individual.

00:27:02.960 Studies also show, PragerU videos have shown, that men who are married and have a family tend to end up making more money.

00:27:10.980 Men like to make money. 0.98

00:27:12.360 They like to feel like they are protecting and providing.

00:27:15.120 Sorry, guys, this is a basic instinct that God gave you.

00:27:18.160 So when you do those things, it's going to make you happier in the long run,

00:27:22.040 especially if you can invest in your future and the offspring,

00:27:25.200 and it's also going to positively affect the economy.

00:27:28.340 I think millennials all around have really screwed the American economy because they're delaying getting married, 1.00

00:27:34.160 having a family, which leads to creating jobs when you buy a house, build a business, et cetera, et cetera.

00:27:40.240 That is true.

00:27:40.960 Making money is a lot more fun than not making money.

00:27:44.180 I've spent long swaths of time not making any money.

00:27:46.960 I disagree.

00:27:47.580 And, well, that's because Marshall's never gotten the privilege of experiencing the other one,

00:27:51.940 but I did because I published blank pages, and it's the best, man.

00:27:55.720 It is just fantastic.

00:27:56.720 It's really a shame that, you know, that's the way that.

00:27:59.420 That says more about the culture.

00:28:01.180 It's certainly true.

00:28:02.800 Well, one cultural analog here I do think is, Alicia, you mentioned that sometimes it's nice for young men

00:28:09.020 to have young women to accompany them doing different various activities.

00:28:12.940 Only after marriage, Michael.

00:28:14.160 Right.

00:28:14.820 Let's talk about, you know, you living in sin now.

00:28:16.780 It's a wholesome show.

00:28:17.040 It's a wholesome show.

00:28:17.180 Absolutely.

00:28:17.920 Only after marriage, and you've got to be praying the whole time.

00:28:20.620 But there is this trend that we've been observing, especially in Japan, that's where a lot of studies have come out,

00:28:27.740 but all over, which is that men are choosing porn over real-life women.

00:28:31.980 You know, once the sex robots come, the whole species is going to die out. 0.99

00:28:35.760 Jacob, is this the direction the culture is headed, that we're moving toward digital instant ratification

00:28:42.200 rather than engaging with real people and actually producing something?

00:28:47.320 You know, we're shooting people on Halo, but we're not building businesses.

00:28:50.780 We're winking over at sex robots, but we're not making our wife happy.

00:28:54.620 I honestly think that this is going this direction, but I honestly think it'll be in the short term.

00:29:01.420 It'll burn out because it'll just, everyone will just notice, oh, this is fake.

00:29:06.300 It may be instant.

00:29:07.360 Most people want a permanent sort of fulfillment for their soul.

00:29:12.500 So I honestly believe that, yes, we'll see this in the short term, and it's devastating, and it's quite frankly annoying.

00:29:17.660 Even me as a nerd, I like making that money, you know, but I would love to see this burn out, and I honestly think it will.

00:29:25.880 It's just this is a trend that'll pass once these guys wake up and they realize, oh, my gosh, my parents have died and I have no money.

00:29:34.040 That's a really sad way to end the show, but you actually do bring up a good point, which is we've seen this in other industries, too.

00:29:42.640 You know, for 60 years after World War II, the mainstream news media had this domination of American culture until 2017 when Donald Trump just drowned them all in covfefe.

00:29:53.940 Because people realize they don't want fake things.

00:29:56.700 They want the real thing.

00:29:57.660 They don't want to just be bombarded with a bunch of fake news.

00:30:00.880 Even something as powerful as the mainstream news media, after a while, people get sick of what is fake, and they prefer the real thing.

00:30:08.480 Excellent point.

00:30:09.580 Alicia and Jacob, thank you for being here.

00:30:11.660 Thank you.

00:30:11.860 Alicia Krauss from The Daily Wire and Jacob Berry from Muttering Around the Sidewalks.

00:30:15.700 All right, that's our show.

00:30:17.280 Today, I should point out, is my fiancée, sweet little Elisa's birthday, so happy birthday to her.

00:30:22.240 You can send all of your presents to –

00:30:23.880 On Facebook and YouTube.

00:30:24.580 Yeah, you can – really, the best present that you could give her is to subscribe to The Daily Wire, subscribe on Facebook, and subscribe on YouTube,

00:30:33.040 and then you keep getting all of that real news coming right to you, just a steady stream of covfefe.

00:30:38.860 I'm sure that's really all she wants today.

00:30:40.680 And also, speaking of podcasts you should listen to, Andrew Klavan has given me the last role that I'm ever going to get in Hollywood.

00:30:48.180 It's for his new podcast, Andrew Klavan's Another Kingdom.

00:30:51.700 It's a narrative podcast.

00:30:53.400 Hollywood is crumbling.

00:30:54.820 I obviously got my role because Drew was wearing a bathrobe in a hotel room, but that is over now.

00:30:59.960 Hollywood is crumbling.

00:31:00.900 The edifices are falling down, and conservatives now don't have to worry about gatekeepers,

00:31:06.460 and we can make our own art, and we can make our own culture, and you should all support that.

00:31:10.940 And it's also a really fun story.

00:31:13.120 So come on over.

00:31:13.800 It's Andrew Klavan's Another Kingdom.

00:31:15.900 I perform it.

00:31:16.880 I'll never work in this town again.

00:31:18.480 So please enjoy my last role.

00:31:20.220 Get your mailbag questions in for Thursday, and we'll see you tomorrow.

00:31:23.800 I'm Michael Knowles.
