Summary

Biden's cognitive decline has been a long time coming, and now it's time to ask the question: Is Joe Biden in a state of cognitive decline? Is he missing a step or two, or is he just forgetting what he said a few months ago?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 You'd have to be a lily-livered, no good, two-timing, dog-faced pony soldier to even
00:00:07.140 begin to suggest that Joe Biden is in a state of cognitive decline.
00:00:13.160 Well, Biden did an interview just the other day with Yahoo News, so this is not exactly
00:00:17.580 a right-wing outlet, but the journalist raised the question, is Joe Biden taking cognitive
00:00:24.240 tests?
00:00:25.300 Is he in cognitive decline?
00:00:27.180 And Joe Biden kind of proved the point of the question.
00:00:32.220 Have you taken a cognitive test?
00:00:34.260 No, I haven't taken a test.
00:00:35.980 Why the hell would I take a test?
00:00:38.640 Come on, man.
00:00:40.260 That's like saying you, before you got in this program, you take a test where you're taking
00:00:44.080 cocaine or not.
00:00:44.960 What do you think, huh?
00:00:46.600 Are you a junkie?
00:00:47.260 What do you say to President Trump, who brags about his test and makes your mental state
00:00:54.240 an issue for voters?
00:00:55.580 Well, if he can't figure out the difference between an elephant and a lion, I don't know
00:01:01.780 what the hell he's talking about.
00:01:03.400 Did you watch that?
00:01:04.300 Look, come on, man.
00:01:05.300 I know you're trying to goad me, but, I mean, I'm so forward-looking to have an opportunity
00:01:11.800 to sit with the president or stand with the president in debates.
00:01:15.720 There are going to be plenty of time.
00:01:18.140 And by the way, as I joke with him, you know, I shouldn't say it.
00:01:22.780 I'm going to say something I probably shouldn't say.
00:01:25.320 Anyway, I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental, my physical
00:01:33.400 as well as my mental fitness.
00:01:35.120 Come on, man.
00:01:37.620 Come on.
00:01:38.200 You think that guy might, might be missing a step or two?
00:01:41.780 Might be a couple, a couple bulbs short of a pack.
00:01:45.140 Might be a couple fries short of a happy meal.
00:01:48.160 I don't know.
00:01:48.440 I'm using a lot of, I'm using a lot of metaphors here.
00:01:50.960 The point is Joe Biden's obviously in mental decline.
00:01:53.320 And you don't need to take my word for it and you don't need to take the suggestions
00:01:57.820 of the journalists or, or the president for that matter, because Joe Biden actually told
00:02:03.980 us months ago that he does regularly take cognitive tests.
00:02:09.860 Have you been tested for some degree of cognitive decline?
00:02:13.680 I've been tested and I'm constantly tested.
00:02:15.800 Look, all you, all I got to do is watch me and I can hardly wait to compare my cognitive
00:02:22.440 capability to the cognitive capability of the man I'm running against.
00:02:28.080 In Joe's defense, it seems pretty clear that he forgot what he said just a couple months
00:02:32.180 ago, right?
00:02:32.680 You just chalk it up, chalk it up to forgetfulness.
00:02:35.180 Joe Biden's forgetting his own mental decline.
00:02:39.040 Come on, man.
00:02:40.280 Forgetfulness is the whole strategy here.
00:02:41.960 The Democrats want you to forget, not just what Joe Biden said a few months ago, what Joe
00:02:46.220 Biden has been saying and doing for his whole career.
00:02:48.120 The whole premise of Joe Biden winning, leading in the polls, rather, winning right now if
00:02:53.200 the election were held today, according to the pollsters, is that nobody's seen or heard
00:02:56.620 from Joe Biden beyond a one or two minute snippet for six months.
00:03:01.260 We'll remind them.
00:03:02.280 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:03:02.860 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:03:11.920 Come on, man.
00:03:12.860 I'm forward looking to this episode.
00:03:15.760 I can't wait to exhibit my own cognitive powers in this episode.
00:03:21.460 And I don't want to forget things.
00:03:22.620 I want to remind people of what Joe Biden is, not just right now, what he's been for his
00:03:28.540 whole career.
00:03:29.280 First, though, got to point out my favorite comment on the YouTubes yesterday.
00:03:32.940 This is from MCT Fly, referring to Democratic Senator Hirono, who stormed out of that meeting
00:03:40.000 yesterday, where, or two days ago, rather, when Senator Cruz was grilling her on whether
00:03:46.460 or not she could condemn Antifa, said, Hirono is such a great example of masking one's ignorance
00:03:52.640 with arrogance.
00:03:54.640 That's a great observation.
00:03:57.940 You actually just saw Joe Biden do that in the previous clip.
00:04:02.600 You see him.
00:04:03.040 The moment he's called out and says, Joe, you don't seem like you're too with it these
00:04:06.400 days.
00:04:06.680 You seem like you don't know a whole lot of stuff and you're a little bit slow.
00:04:09.220 What does he do?
00:04:10.460 He starts laughing at the guy derisively, starts mocking him, calls him a junkie for
00:04:14.760 some reason, and talks about the difference between an elephant and a lion.
00:04:17.980 And it obviously goes downhill from there.
00:04:20.320 But what he's pushing forward is this arrogance.
00:04:22.680 Joe Biden famously did this in the vice presidential debate when he was running against Romney Ryan,
00:04:28.320 when he was debating Paul Ryan there.
00:04:30.960 Ryan would make generally good points and then Joe Biden would just laugh in his face.
00:04:35.100 And you see a lot of people do this, especially just in the pop culture.
00:04:37.800 What they'll do is they'll say, you know, left-wingers who confront their first conservative.
00:04:42.860 And a conservative says, you know, I think maybe men aren't women.
00:04:45.440 Or, you know, I think babies might actually be babies.
00:04:47.980 Or, you know, I think George Washington was kind of good.
00:04:50.960 Or whatever, you know, stating basic facts.
00:04:54.300 And the left, rather than engage, will usually just laugh at them, scoff at them, say, oh,
00:04:58.600 you idiot.
00:04:59.500 You rube.
00:05:00.380 You don't know science.
00:05:01.940 You don't, you're not educated.
00:05:03.780 You're a bitter clinger.
00:05:04.960 You're a deplorable, irredeemable.
00:05:06.480 But that, that is an arrogance that is masking one's own ignorance.
00:05:10.420 And it doesn't play very well.
00:05:12.300 Even among what that group we've called for the past few days, the silenced majority of Americans.
00:05:17.520 There's a representative, I think, of that, that big group in the middle who is really souring on Joe.
00:05:22.860 We'll get to that in one second.
00:05:23.760 First, though, I've got to thank our friends over at LifeLock.
00:05:26.520 You know, a criminal scheme involving nearly 50,000 falsified unemployment insurance claims
00:05:31.720 has been discovered by Maryland state officials.
00:05:35.400 This scam adds up to more than $500 million in claims.
00:05:40.920 While it is capitalizing upon the hardships caused by COVID, the fraud involved in identity theft
00:05:47.060 from previous security breaches is only mounting.
00:05:50.920 Maryland isn't alone.
00:05:52.140 Even other states are experiencing similar unemployment fraud.
00:05:57.440 Every day, we put a ton of our information on the internet, right?
00:06:00.740 No matter what you're doing, your phone or your computer, we put all that information out there.
00:06:04.240 You could miss certain identity threats by just monitoring your credit.
00:06:07.720 Good thing there is LifeLock.
00:06:10.060 Now, no one can prevent all identity theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses.
00:06:14.680 But I trust these guys.
00:06:16.160 I rely on these guys.
00:06:17.540 LifeLock can see threats that you might miss on your own.
00:06:19.980 Right now, join up, save up to 25% off your first year.
00:06:26.420 It's a great discount at a good time, especially when we're spending a lot more time even than usual on the internet.
00:06:31.620 Go to LifeLock.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:06:34.880 That is LifeLock.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S, for 25% off.
00:06:41.340 We're not the only ones noting Joe's mental decline.
00:06:44.160 It started out, it was conservatives pointing this out, President Trump pointing this out.
00:06:49.000 Now, even mainstream journalists are starting to bring it up, like this Yahoo News guy.
00:06:54.120 And then Joe Rogan, the most prominent podcaster on planet Earth, no right winger by any means.
00:07:00.720 He was a Bernie bro during the primaries.
00:07:03.580 Joe Rogan says it's pretty clear at this point that Biden is declining.
00:07:07.180 And more importantly than that, there's a lot of voters in this country who maybe they don't love Trump,
00:07:12.860 maybe they're not rock-ribbed Republicans, maybe they don't have much of a political view at all.
00:07:18.400 They're just not comfortable with a guy who can't pronounce basic words or string together an English sentence
00:07:24.120 running the most powerful office in the world.
00:07:27.180 I believe there's an also large group of people that are very uncomfortable with a man who seems to be mentally compromised
00:07:33.600 winning the election and doing so by hiding.
00:07:37.580 I mean, the guy's never, he was just at another thing the other day and he forgot where he was.
00:07:41.200 Yeah, and that happens all the time.
00:07:43.000 He forgets where he is all the time and he forgot his own name.
00:07:45.440 He forgot the name of God and the Declaration of Independence.
00:07:48.300 He forgets a lot.
00:07:49.620 The Democratic Party, though, is capitalizing on this.
00:07:52.860 They're relying on this.
00:07:54.080 It's not breaking news that Joe Biden has lost a few steps.
00:07:59.260 But what I think people are not fully appreciating here is that forgetfulness is the name of the game.
00:08:05.800 This is how the Democratic Party and the liberal establishment memory holds stories that they just want you to forget about.
00:08:11.060 They've been doing it for decades, right?
00:08:12.420 What they would do, the Clintons were most famous for this.
00:08:15.080 There would be a scandal and they would deny, deny, deny, deny, deny.
00:08:19.040 And then finally, when they couldn't deny it anymore, they'd say, well, that's old news.
00:08:22.560 Oh, forget about that.
00:08:23.240 Who cares?
00:08:23.600 And then they'd bury it.
00:08:24.520 The media would bury it.
00:08:26.060 You know, nothing would be taught in history books.
00:08:28.100 We just forget about these things.
00:08:29.960 That's what the left has relied on for a long time.
00:08:32.740 That's why the left rewrites history, is trying to erase historical figures.
00:08:37.100 And in the case of Joe Biden, they're hiding him in a basement, right?
00:08:40.660 He is very rarely leaving his home.
00:08:43.000 Every time he does any kind of media hit, there's some complete embarrassment where he's defending his own cognitive strength by contradicting himself from a couple months ago and then not being able to finish the phrase mental fitness.
00:08:57.080 So they've got to hide him.
00:08:59.460 Joe Biden's poll numbers right now, if you trust the polls, are pretty good.
00:09:03.880 They're good because people don't remember what and who Joe Biden is.
00:09:09.380 That's something that the people have in common with Joe Biden himself.
00:09:12.260 They don't remember who this guy is.
00:09:13.920 Every time they see him, his numbers go down, which is not a good sign for a candidate.
00:09:20.420 It means that as the race gets hotter, if there are debates, Joe's numbers are going to continue to decline.
00:09:26.760 Now, what the Democrats are banking on is that Joe's got such a lead right now, depending on which poll you look at, he's got a pretty substantial lead, that it will decline slow enough that Joe Biden perhaps himself might decline slow enough to get him over the finish line for November.
00:09:40.700 And they're trying to do everything they can to preserve that by keeping the country shut down, keeping the economy shut down, canceling the conventions, and even trying to cancel the debates.
00:09:49.840 So what is Joe Biden's strategy?
00:09:52.180 He's in a little bit of a pickle because you can't, when you're running for president, you do have to have a message to people.
00:09:58.300 So what they're doing is they're relying on highly produced television ads.
00:10:02.080 Joe Biden's campaign just announced on Wednesday that they've made the single largest ad buy in presidential campaign history.
00:10:10.700 Ever.
00:10:11.440 You know, they've got a fair bit of money on hand, and they're not going to have to spend it on events.
00:10:15.800 They're not going to have to spend it traveling around the country.
00:10:17.760 They don't intend to travel anywhere.
00:10:19.080 So they're putting what is an estimated $220 million into TV spots.
00:10:24.580 Then on top of that, $60 million into digital and social media advertising.
00:10:30.340 Probably the Biden campaign should have evened that out a little bit more.
00:10:33.840 In both political parties, but especially the Dems, they don't understand that internet marketing matters much, much more now.
00:10:40.860 Digital marketing matters much, much more than TV.
00:10:43.060 But in any case, they're going to try to mobilize older voters.
00:10:46.840 And I suspect what they're going to do is try to mobilize people who might have called themselves moderate Republicans, who are much older.
00:10:53.440 I think many people have family members like this who are just so put off by Trump's brashness that they are willing to vote for someone like Joe Biden, especially because Joe Biden is around their same age and they've known him for about 50 years.
00:11:07.780 So that's a lot of money.
00:11:09.920 And a lot of these ads are not going to be 30-second ads.
00:11:11.840 They're going to be 60-second ads.
00:11:12.860 So it'll just be Joe Biden in this perfectly manicured way for the entire ad break in some cases.
00:11:18.780 The Biden campaign signaled they were going to do this when they launched that podcast that no one listens to.
00:11:23.200 But when you listen to the podcast, you realize, which us professionals did have to do, you see that they would reduce the spaces in between his words.
00:11:34.240 They would speed up his language.
00:11:35.660 They would obviously heavily edit out and take out all the weird stuff that he was saying in the meantime.
00:11:38.940 So they're going to create this computer-generated idea of a candidate who really does not have much bearing on Joe Biden himself.
00:11:49.100 This is taking empty suit to a new level.
00:11:51.480 This is taking just a sort of empty vessel of the Democratic Party and that difference between the ideology and the reality to a whole new level.
00:12:00.320 So they still have this problem, which is that Donald Trump gets earned media.
00:12:06.380 There's a difference between paid media, when you buy ads, and earned media, when the news covers you.
00:12:11.440 Trump can get earned media whenever he wants.
00:12:14.360 This has been true since the 80s, and it's especially true now that he's president.
00:12:18.900 So the one thing I would say is Republicans don't necessarily need to spend dollar for dollar and squander all their money on TV ads, too.
00:12:25.820 Because Trump is getting a lot more earned media, and Biden has to rely on the TV ads because he's not going out anywhere.
00:12:31.080 So he's not getting that earned media.
00:12:32.960 What the Trump campaign could focus on a lot more than running a bunch of TV ads is pointing out relentlessly the reality of Joe Biden, not the manicured, contrived thing of the 30-second or 60-second TV ads, but the real Joe Biden.
00:12:48.920 And the real Joe Biden right now is seriously considering an actual communist to be his running mate, an actual out-and-out communist.
00:12:58.220 I mean, she denies it, but they all deny it.
00:13:01.380 But Karen Bass, the head of the Congressional Black Caucus, is a commie.
00:13:07.320 There's just no two ways about it, okay?
00:13:09.500 This woman volunteered with a commie group in the 70s.
00:13:13.520 She was partially a leader of that group to go down to Fidel Castro's Cuba and support the Castro regime.
00:13:19.660 Even in the past few years, she's spoken very highly of Fidel Castro.
00:13:24.780 She's spoken very highly of Marxist organizations such as Black Lives Matter.
00:13:29.080 She is a close associate and supporter of the founders of Black Lives Matter, who are quote-unquote trained Marxists.
00:13:36.100 When I confronted her about this on television, she lied about it through her teeth, denied knowing these people.
00:13:40.820 And now news just broke out that Karen Bass just three years ago, very, very recently, gave a eulogy for the funeral of O'Neill Marion Cannon.
00:13:53.040 Don't know who that is?
00:13:54.320 O'Neill Marion Cannon was for decades a leader of the Communist Party USA.
00:13:59.920 She not only gave this commie a eulogy, but she referred to him as a friend and mentor, which should not surprise anybody.
00:14:07.420 What the left is going to try to do, if Karen Bass continues to rise up in the possibility of being, or the probability of being a VP pick, is they're going to say, oh, look, her radicalism, that was in the 70s.
00:14:20.080 That was 50 years ago, for goodness sakes.
00:14:22.520 Forget about it.
00:14:23.580 Don't forget about it.
00:14:24.400 It wasn't 50 years ago.
00:14:25.720 It was three years ago that she was eulogizing some of the biggest commie leaders in the United States.
00:14:31.060 And she is still supporting commie organizations.
00:14:34.220 Trump, I don't know if the Trump campaign has figured this out yet.
00:14:36.800 But I know that President Trump himself certainly has.
00:14:39.920 Trump has come out and stated this problem explicitly.
00:14:43.840 He was asked recently on Fox & Friends about Black Lives Matter.
00:14:48.900 And he said, without pulling any punches, Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization.
00:14:55.440 Nobody's done for the black community, African-American community, what I've done.
00:15:00.720 And I will tell you, they had Black Lives Matter.
00:15:05.400 Where did it start?
00:15:07.080 Marching down the street, screaming, pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.
00:15:11.740 They were talking about policemen, policemen and women.
00:15:15.140 Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.
00:15:17.440 So all of a sudden, this has taken on this air of great respectability.
00:15:23.560 Well, how does it start there?
00:15:25.720 It's a Marxist group.
00:15:27.440 It's a Marxist group that is not looking for good things for our country.
00:15:31.220 And now I see these leagues all kneeling down.
00:15:33.880 And again, nobody has done more for the black community by far.
00:15:38.360 I always say nobody other than, I'll give the one exception, Abraham Lincoln, okay?
00:15:43.300 But even that, I mean, to be honest with you, but nobody has done more than I have.
00:15:49.020 But when I see people kneeling during the playing and disrespecting our flag and disrespecting
00:15:54.600 our national anthem, what I do personally is turn off the game.
00:15:57.760 I love this, this caveat.
00:16:01.120 Okay, maybe, I'm the best president for black people, maybe other than Abraham Lincoln.
00:16:06.120 Although, frankly, even him, I don't know.
00:16:08.300 Okay, moving on.
00:16:09.480 And so I love that.
00:16:11.140 I mean, obviously, this is entertaining stuff.
00:16:13.220 He's calling into a top-rated morning show.
00:16:15.440 People are listening to this.
00:16:16.620 But crucially, what he's doing here, he's not just throwing attacks at his political
00:16:22.380 opponents or the BLM movement, which is, it's important that he's recognizing how radical
00:16:27.460 the left, the BLM movement is.
00:16:29.340 But he's reminding people of history.
00:16:31.820 History is the key here.
00:16:33.140 The forgetfulness is the key here.
00:16:35.380 The left hates history.
00:16:38.480 That's why they want to rewrite history.
00:16:40.300 And when they don't rewrite history, they want to erase history.
00:16:43.300 And when they're not erasing history books, they're desecrating and tearing down historical
00:16:49.380 statues, historical figures.
00:16:51.580 Not even just the really bad ones, you know, the ones who sided with the Confederacy or something
00:16:56.800 like that, they're pulling down George Washington.
00:17:00.000 They're pulling down Thomas Jefferson.
00:17:01.680 Because they have a narrative.
00:17:02.980 They have this narrative that America was racist and terrible from the beginning.
00:17:07.740 And it's awful and no one should support it.
00:17:10.860 And we've got to get away from that history and overturn that history and liberate ourselves
00:17:14.720 from the oppressive past.
00:17:15.660 Then we can move forward into the progressive future.
00:17:17.840 Now, anybody who actually reads the Founding Fathers, anybody who looks into their lives
00:17:23.180 will find out that what the left is saying is complete BS.
00:17:26.560 The founding was not racist.
00:17:28.140 Wasn't racist at all.
00:17:30.160 The institution of slavery existed.
00:17:32.060 Obviously, that institution complicates American history.
00:17:35.840 But to call the Founders and the founding racist or bigoted or oppressive or whatever is absurd.
00:17:43.420 It's not defensible if you know the history.
00:17:45.720 So what does the left do?
00:17:47.320 They want to erase the history.
00:17:48.340 And here's what Trump does in a very practical way.
00:17:52.220 Trump is so good at this, at painting pictures, at creating images in your minds.
00:17:56.640 That's why when he was talking about the other candidates in 2016, he would create these images.
00:18:03.120 So he'd talk about how little Marco is always sweating.
00:18:07.140 You remember he used to go back, that little Marco, he's always sweating.
00:18:09.580 He always likes to drink water.
00:18:10.760 He's always sweating.
00:18:12.060 You thought, why is he going after him for perspiration?
00:18:14.540 Well, he's doing it to create this image of a young politician who's nervous, who's not confident,
00:18:21.520 who maybe isn't so sure of what he's saying.
00:18:24.500 Jeb Bush, he called low energy Jeb.
00:18:26.640 He didn't call him moderate Jeb or squishy Jeb or liberal Jeb.
00:18:30.080 No.
00:18:31.020 Low energy.
00:18:32.000 It creates such an image of this guy who's just, he's just a little lethargic.
00:18:36.500 He's not going to be able to take the fight to Washington.
00:18:40.020 All these kinds of images would come up.
00:18:42.360 Crooked Hillary, it's an image of a crook.
00:18:45.280 Even the idea of something being crooked, it's not quite straight.
00:18:47.660 It's not quite right.
00:18:49.580 And that's what he's doing here.
00:18:50.560 He says, you remember BLM?
00:18:51.820 He doesn't talk about the origins of BLM at the meeting of Patrice Collors and Opal Tometi
00:18:57.180 and Alicia Garza getting funded by the Open Society Foundation, which is run by George Soros.
00:19:02.420 He's not talking.
00:19:02.980 That's way too technical.
00:19:05.040 He says, you remember BLM was founded.
00:19:07.060 They were marching down the streets saying, pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.
00:19:11.960 Because that happened.
00:19:12.640 We saw that video.
00:19:14.000 That creates a hideous, ugly image.
00:19:16.080 It's an image that actually took place, by the way, when BLM was founded.
00:19:19.500 So that's where our mind goes.
00:19:21.280 That's what we have to remind people of.
00:19:23.560 We have to remind people of not just Joe Biden, though we should bring up his words
00:19:28.520 and his sayings and his role in history too, but the whole history of the left, of the Democratic
00:19:33.940 Party, because people don't remember, especially with this 24-hour, forget 24-hour, now 24-minute
00:19:38.540 news cycle, things are changing so fast, people forget about this kind of thing.
00:19:43.620 And it's very easy then to rewrite the past, to erase the past and move forward into these
00:19:49.280 ridiculous leftist ideologies.
00:19:51.120 The greatest example of this recently, the most preposterous, Oprah Winfrey.
00:19:57.480 Oprah Winfrey is very, very terrible.
00:20:00.720 She is a very bad force in America.
00:20:03.980 She, her views on religion are heretical.
00:20:07.600 Her views on politics are outrageous and damaging.
00:20:11.240 Her, her deification in the media is nauseating.
00:20:15.200 She's a horribly negative influence in American culture.
00:20:19.840 And Oprah Winfrey, true to form, comes out and weighing in on this question of race that
00:20:25.660 we all have to talk about every four years because Democrats think they can win some votes
00:20:29.000 if they gin up racial tensions.
00:20:30.220 Oprah Winfrey, playing her part in doing just that, comes out and from atop her throne of
00:20:37.720 $2.6 billion, tells people that if you're white, you have privilege.
00:20:45.000 If you're black, you're oppressed.
00:20:46.540 If you're white, no matter how poor you are, you have privilege because there's a caste system
00:20:51.860 in America and race can never be overcome.
00:20:55.220 Here is the billionaire, world famous Oprah Winfrey complaining about how oppressed she is.
00:21:02.720 There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people, the caste system that's been put in place, but they still, no matter where they are on the rung or the ladder of success, they still have their whiteness.
00:21:19.120 As white people, we, we, even the poorest of the poor, I feel still has a leg up.
00:21:28.180 And it's.
00:21:29.320 Yeah, the leg up is what I was saying.
00:21:31.120 You still have your whiteness.
00:21:32.380 That's what the, that's what the term white privilege is.
00:21:35.080 It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage no matter what.
00:21:39.900 That's it.
00:21:41.820 How many books have been written about this?
00:21:43.780 Sold zillions of copies.
00:21:44.920 And if you're white, you get so much privilege.
00:21:48.320 You, you get so many advantages.
00:21:50.580 You get, I'm sure you get advantages in schooling, right?
00:21:53.480 You get advantages in, in applying to college.
00:21:55.120 You get advantages in hiring, don't you?
00:21:57.820 You get, oh, wait a second.
00:21:58.860 You don't.
00:21:59.260 You get disadvantaged.
00:22:01.020 You get, it's exactly the opposite of what she says.
00:22:02.900 We only have one system of legal racial discrimination in this country.
00:22:07.980 It's called affirmative action and it disadvantages white people and Asian people.
00:22:14.080 How Asian people got thrown into the mix, I have no idea.
00:22:16.820 But unfortunately they, through no fault of their own, I don't think they were complicit in,
00:22:21.500 were they complicit in American slavery?
00:22:22.860 I don't think so.
00:22:23.380 But anyway, they get disadvantaged too.
00:22:25.000 And actually people of other races, including black, Hispanic, they are privileged.
00:22:30.880 They are advantaged in a system of legal racial discrimination.
00:22:37.980 That's the reality of it.
00:22:40.600 Some poor guy in Appalachia is not more privileged than Oprah Winfrey because he's a little less
00:22:47.520 tan.
00:22:48.860 It's preposterous on its face.
00:22:51.660 It's outrageous.
00:22:53.040 It's, I, I think it's dishonest because I don't think Oprah Winfrey is so stupid to actually
00:22:58.880 believe the nonsense that she's spouting.
00:23:01.260 So I think it's disingenuous.
00:23:02.760 I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's lying because otherwise she's
00:23:06.720 profoundly stupid and ignorant.
00:23:08.760 And I don't think that could be the case.
00:23:10.460 I don't think she became a billionaire queen of all media by accident.
00:23:14.320 I think this is a cynical campaign that is premised on you forgetting everything that's
00:23:20.260 actually around you.
00:23:21.860 Forgetting not just your history, but even the present state of the law.
00:23:26.420 It's so corrosive and it's corrosive, not, not just that it's unfair to white and Asian
00:23:34.600 applicants to college or to jobs or, or anything like that.
00:23:37.420 It's unfair to the people it privileges too.
00:23:40.540 There's this line that the left always talks about.
00:23:43.040 They say until we have racial equality, nobody is free, right?
00:23:48.120 That, that actually inequality disadvantages even the people who are privileged because we
00:23:54.340 live in this unjust society.
00:23:56.680 Well, that, that's certainly the case here because even if there are legal privileges to
00:24:01.260 being black or Latino when you're applying to colleges or jobs, the very fact that we are now told,
00:24:07.220 that we are now telling children that they can't succeed because of the color of their skin,
00:24:11.960 that's an ugly thing that will hurt their lives.
00:24:15.080 That will, that is about the most damaging thing you can possibly tell a child.
00:24:19.340 And it is being pushed by cynical hucksters trying to divide the American people to get
00:24:24.960 votes.
00:24:25.700 So what do we have to do?
00:24:27.600 We have to remind people of what is actually going on and we have to unite people.
00:24:31.980 And this is why Trump is making such a point about the American flag.
00:24:35.600 It's why he's making such a point about the national anthem.
00:24:37.420 He's saying we have to come together as one nation.
00:24:41.120 We have to reject the left divvying us all up, divvying us all up through lies.
00:24:48.280 We have to come together as one nation or we will cease to be a nation.
00:24:51.620 And then everything that we love and cherish about this country will fall apart.
00:24:56.900 The other thing here is what is being pushed on black people by ideologues who think they
00:25:06.660 know what black people want or, or want black people to want what they want is actually not,
00:25:12.900 according to public opinion polls, what black people themselves want in America.
00:25:16.860 There's a new poll Gallup released on Wednesday that found 81% of black people want police spending
00:25:23.500 to remain the same or, or increase in their communities.
00:25:29.760 Now we're told by the elites and the ideologues that black people hate the police.
00:25:36.200 They're being oppressed by the police.
00:25:37.320 They want to defund the police.
00:25:39.440 No, more than four out of five black people, according to Gallup, very respected polling firm,
00:25:46.340 actually a little bit left-wing polling firm, wants the same or more funding for the cops.
00:25:53.520 That number compares to 88% for white Americans, 83% for Hispanics,
00:25:58.080 72% for Asian Americans, and the whole, the whole U.S. population on average is 86%.
00:26:05.680 There is a big gap between what people want and what ideologues want people to want.
00:26:15.160 You see this actually beyond the, the level of race.
00:26:18.100 You see this when it comes to the COVID lockdown, to the vaccination.
00:26:22.920 We've now been told that you're not allowed to use hydroxychloroquine.
00:26:26.600 You can't treat coronavirus that way, even though many doctors have had success with it,
00:26:30.380 and we've had the drug for a long time.
00:26:32.780 Nancy Pelosi wants us all to smoke pot.
00:26:34.600 She thinks that's going to cure coronavirus.
00:26:36.020 I don't know how that one's going to work.
00:26:37.500 But what we've all been told is you've got to wait for a vaccine.
00:26:40.380 We get the vaccine, then finally we can reopen the country.
00:26:42.920 This is like the fifth version of how we're going to reopen.
00:26:45.660 Remember initially it was slow the spread, 15 days to slow the spread, flatten the curve.
00:26:49.760 We succeeded wildly at doing all of that.
00:26:51.960 And then for some reason, what, that was four months ago at that point, they keep moving the goalposts.
00:26:57.020 Now it's the vaccine.
00:26:58.700 Well, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar is very excited because he can now say that it's looking very good,
00:27:06.720 that we will have a vaccine by the winter, possibly even the fall.
00:27:11.520 But there's still a problem.
00:27:12.340 Well, let me talk about vaccine because this has just been the last two weeks we've seen under President Trump's leadership
00:27:19.200 the most historic advances in the development of vaccines we've ever seen in human history.
00:27:24.560 The United States now has six vaccines that we've placed major investments in.
00:27:29.500 Four of them have already reported out positive phase one clinical trial results.
00:27:34.780 And two of them are already in the advanced final phase three studies.
00:27:39.080 Others will advance there soon.
00:27:40.400 It's really just President Trump has marshaled the whole of the U.S. government and our biopharmaceutical industry.
00:27:45.940 It's incredible.
00:27:46.100 I'm sorry, I'm short on time.
00:27:47.220 Fall, is that a realistic forecast for a vaccine available to the public?
00:27:51.640 It is very credible that we will have the high tens of millions of doses of FDA gold standard vaccine by the end of this year
00:27:59.840 and many hundreds of millions of doses of vaccine by the beginning of next year.
00:28:05.420 So that's good news.
00:28:06.520 By the end of this year, we're going to have a lot of vaccines.
00:28:08.360 And by the beginning of next year, we'll have even more of the vaccines.
00:28:13.140 There's a problem though, which is that most people aren't going to get it.
00:28:16.400 I'm not saying that as a prescriptive sort of thing.
00:28:22.180 I'm not saying most people shouldn't get the vaccine.
00:28:24.560 I'm just saying most people won't.
00:28:26.320 There's a poll out that was just undertaken by Yahoo News and YouGov showed that only 42% of American adults say they will get the coronavirus vaccine.
00:28:35.860 Now, that number is actually down because back in early May, when this poll asked the same question, 55% said they would agree to be vaccinated.
00:28:47.140 That's a big drop in just a couple months.
00:28:50.260 It's a drop of 13 percentage points.
00:28:53.780 What happened?
00:28:54.400 What happened is our public health experts got things wrong and they lied.
00:29:00.180 And sometimes, you know, sometimes it was accidental that they got things wrong.
00:29:03.360 Sometimes it seemed a little more cynical than that.
00:29:05.700 But we cannot trust them because they've been wrong about this virus every step of the way.
00:29:11.180 And worse than that, in their political recommendations, they have lied to us.
00:29:15.680 And they've twisted science for their political ends.
00:29:18.320 So they've said you can go out and protest for BLM and loot and riot and tear down the country.
00:29:23.440 And that's good.
00:29:24.540 The virus won't spread that way.
00:29:26.380 And by the way, we won't even contact trace you if you go to one of those protests.
00:29:29.820 So go out there and burn down the country all in the name of science.
00:29:32.480 But if you go and say you want to go to church on Sunday, all of a sudden, that's a felony.
00:29:37.920 You know, that's a crime.
00:29:38.640 You could be arrested for doing that.
00:29:40.440 All in the name of science.
00:29:41.820 All in the name of public health.
00:29:42.900 It's BS.
00:29:43.360 So I'm not surprised.
00:29:44.080 The only people who bear blame for a majority of Americans not wanting to get vaccinated here
00:29:51.200 are the public health officials because they've given us no reason to trust them.
00:29:55.460 And what the left will say is, well, it's the Republicans' fault.
00:29:59.960 It's the conservatives' fault that they won't get vaccinated.
00:30:02.600 First of all, that's not true.
00:30:04.360 Opposition to vaccines cuts across party lines.
00:30:06.540 If anything, it's more of a left-wing phenomenon than a right-wing phenomenon.
00:30:09.460 But also, if your political strategy cannot accommodate real people living real lives,
00:30:18.700 if your political strategy only exists in this abstract ideological cloud,
00:30:23.500 then it's not much of a political strategy at all.
00:30:26.560 True socialism's never been tried.
00:30:28.020 True social distancing's never been tried.
00:30:29.820 Before we get to the mailbag, I do have to get to one story.
00:30:34.500 We've been talking about how we shouldn't forget things for much of the show.
00:30:38.560 I'd like to give one example, at least, where it might be worth forgetting things,
00:30:43.660 where we're remembering a little bit too much.
00:30:45.480 This is the downside of big tech and cancel culture.
00:30:48.760 There's a woman, Maddie Ziegler.
00:30:50.280 I had no idea who this person was until I read this news story.
00:30:54.680 Maddie Ziegler is a dancer and an actress.
00:30:57.560 She is currently 17 years old.
00:31:00.960 And she's issued a public apology for offensive comments and jokes that she made in the past.
00:31:10.240 How far in the past could that be?
00:31:11.700 She's 17 years old.
00:31:13.080 What kind of public apology?
00:31:14.520 I was thinking in my head, I thought, what is she going to do?
00:31:16.580 She's going to apologize for comments she made when she was nine?
00:31:20.280 Yes, that's what she's doing.
00:31:22.280 She is a 17-year-old girl is now being pressured by the left to make a public apology for comments
00:31:28.940 she made when, I kid you not, she was nine years old because she made some videos where,
00:31:34.020 I don't know, she made fun of an Asian or a Chinese accent or something like that.
00:31:39.240 Like, you know, kids do.
00:31:40.520 You know how kids do that stuff?
00:31:41.840 Kids say silly things and do silly things because they're kids.
00:31:44.900 That's what kids, it's like the definition of kids.
00:31:47.880 Well, she has to make this public apology.
00:31:50.280 It does raise questions.
00:31:51.420 Why would you want your nine-year-old kid to be on camera, on the internet?
00:31:55.080 That seems like a bad idea.
00:31:56.100 That seems like a recipe for disaster.
00:31:57.720 Just generally, you don't want to expose kids to that very young.
00:32:01.360 But, but beyond that, can we not have a little bit of grace for the things that nine-year-olds say?
00:32:09.020 I mean, I guess what, the age of reason is seven.
00:32:11.500 But, you know, nine is still pretty far below the age of consent.
00:32:15.200 I think in many states, 17 is still below the age of consent.
00:32:18.920 So can we not have a little bit of grace for that?
00:32:21.080 No, of course not.
00:32:22.460 Of course we can't.
00:32:23.700 Not in this culture.
00:32:25.100 Because no one really cares what a nine-year-old girl said about some Chinese accent or something.
00:32:30.720 No one cares.
00:32:31.800 But they want to use it as a cudgel now to intimidate people, to whip them back in line.
00:32:39.600 History is used by the left selectively, like blackmail, like any extortion artist, like any blackmailer, like any thug uses against his adversaries.
00:32:52.420 That's, that's not how history should be used.
00:32:54.240 We should not approach history as a, as a tool of exploitation.
00:32:58.660 And we should not exploit history from a perspective of antagonism.
00:33:04.940 We should approach history for what it is.
00:33:06.760 It's things that happened in the past that might tell us something about the future.
00:33:11.240 We should look at history as something that is complex.
00:33:13.560 We should look at history as something that can give us a guide to the future.
00:33:17.520 And if someone has, for instance, a 50-year career in politics that is highly undignified and is increasingly radical, we should remember that too.
00:33:26.320 And that should play a role in a presidential campaign.
00:33:29.100 But we must approach it in its complexity.
00:33:30.960 You know, the craziest story, this maybe is even crazier than the Maddie Ziegler story.
00:33:37.060 Another person has been canceled recently.
00:33:39.700 Canceled by the University of Buffalo.
00:33:42.780 It's not the president of the university.
00:33:44.800 It's not a dean at the university or a professor.
00:33:47.520 It's not a conservative student.
00:33:50.140 It's Millard Fillmore.
00:33:53.760 Millard Fillmore, the president from 1850 to 1853, is being canceled because of the compromise of 1850.
00:34:05.520 Took a long time for that one to make its way through the, the popular culture.
00:34:11.040 But now, here we are, 170 years later, and we're canceling Millard Fillmore for the compromise of 1850 because that included the Fugitive Slave Act, which now the University of Buffalo recognizes that this remains a deeply hurtful decision, especially for African Americans.
00:34:29.060 Do you think one black guy in this entire country wakes up at night wailing about the compromise of 1850?
00:34:38.480 No, nobody does.
00:34:40.160 Nobody even remembers the compromise of 1850, for goodness sakes.
00:34:43.680 This is not a deeply hurtful issue in people's present lives.
00:34:48.260 Nobody remembers who Millard Fillmore is.
00:34:50.260 He's one of the most forgettable presidents in American history.
00:34:52.660 And by the way, in Fillmore's defense, never thought I'd have to utter that statement.
00:34:56.640 In Fillmore's defense, the compromise of 1850, while many would object to the Fugitive Slave Act, staved off the Civil War for a decade.
00:35:04.680 You would have had a Civil War 10 years earlier.
00:35:08.720 History has complexity to it.
00:35:10.660 History has nuance.
00:35:12.600 But what we have to do, you know, in our leftist culture is just tear things down, erase it, so we can rewrite it according to our own preferences.
00:35:21.560 First, they play on forgetfulness, then the left relies on gullibility, naivete, and outright stupidity.
00:35:31.460 I think we all need to take cognitive tests these days.
00:35:33.900 We've got to get to the mailbag.
00:35:34.900 First, though, I've got to thank you.
00:35:36.940 I've got to thank all of you for heading on over, subscribing to the Michael Knowles Show YouTube channel.
00:35:41.540 Head on over.
00:35:42.200 That's also where I check out the comments for the show.
00:35:44.740 So head on over there.
00:35:45.580 Leave some comments.
00:35:46.100 Also, you know, I've been telling you for the past couple days about the all-access membership tier, which is our highest tier of membership, and you get a lot of behind-the-scenes exclusives, things like that, access to chat with the hosts and the writers.
00:35:57.360 So we had this very cool product, which was a Daily Wire baseball bat made here in America with the Daily Wire logo emblazoned on it.
00:36:03.520 It was in association with a great American baseball bat company.
00:36:08.600 Anyway, it's only available to the all-access tier, and it's already sold out.
00:36:12.560 It's sold out in just two days.
00:36:13.580 So sorry if you didn't get yours, but if you didn't, be sure to sign up for all-access right now.
00:36:19.120 You will get not one but two leftist-tears tumblers with your membership, and then you will be eligible for some of these kind of more one-off collectible type products that we're going to be running in the future, which go apparently very quickly.
00:36:31.500 I didn't even get one of these baseball bats, which I'm extremely irritated about.
00:36:34.560 So head on over right now, dailywire.com slash Knowles.
00:36:36.900 You'll get 20% off all-access with coupon code ACCESS.
00:36:39.800 That is dailywire.com slash Knowles, coupon code ACCESS to get 20% off your membership.
00:36:44.660 Then we will be right back with the mailbag.
00:36:58.960 Pour one out from Millard Fillmore.
00:37:01.000 How about that?
00:37:02.080 That's 2020 for you.
00:37:03.260 As usual, I'm running tight on time, so let's try to get through as many mailbag questions as possible from Shannon.
00:37:09.680 Dear Michael of many podcasts, both Nancy Pelosi and Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, referred to federal agents as stormtroopers.
00:37:16.900 Is this a dog whistle I should be wary of, or are some associations with mass murderers okay?
00:37:22.620 Thanks.
00:37:23.960 No, you shouldn't be worried about that.
00:37:25.660 Because you see, when a Democrat openly associates and admires thug killers, such as Fidel Castro in the case of Karen Bass,
00:37:39.800 or Che Guevara in the case of every liberal dope walking around a college campus with his face on their t-shirt,
00:37:45.320 or in the case of using this kind of language, it doesn't matter.
00:37:49.520 Not only is that not a problem, but actually, Che Guevara is a great guy.
00:37:53.140 Oh, these mass murderers, they were okay.
00:37:55.220 We need some nuance here.
00:37:56.220 We need some complexity.
00:37:57.120 They did some good stuff once.
00:37:58.400 But the minute that a conservative even utters the, let's say they utter the phrase, America first.
00:38:04.060 Well, this is what the left will say.
00:38:06.300 America first.
00:38:08.080 America first.
00:38:08.880 You know who else used that phrase?
00:38:10.180 Charles Lindbergh.
00:38:11.260 Charles Lindbergh had sympathies that could be termed fascistic and was an isolationist in the World Wars.
00:38:18.840 Ah, you're a fascist, you're a Nazi.
00:38:21.880 That's what they'll tell you.
00:38:22.680 It takes like seven degrees to get to that point.
00:38:25.300 But that's what they will tell you.
00:38:27.980 I'm always amazed when the left talks about how they're hearing all of these dog whistles that none of the rest of us are hearing.
00:38:36.100 You know, if you're hearing dog whistles, that means that you're a dog.
00:38:41.380 It says a lot more about you, a lot more about the person hearing them than about the people who are being accused of using them.
00:38:47.860 From Lisa.
00:38:48.840 What is the difference between a cult and a religion besides size and hippie clothes?
00:38:54.540 I'm a Catholic and a friend asked me this and I wasn't sure how to respond.
00:38:59.900 I said it had to do with misdirected worship, but I feel like there is more to it.
00:39:04.260 Thanks.
00:39:04.520 Well, the term cult is used in different ways.
00:39:08.260 I mean, you can hear of cults even within religions.
00:39:12.520 And the word cult derives from the same word that culture derives from.
00:39:16.540 It derives from the same word that agriculture derives from.
00:39:18.780 This idea of cultivating something within yourself.
00:39:21.820 And it has a relationship, obviously, to worship.
00:39:24.000 So, we use cult in a almost exclusively negative sense and then religion in a positive sense.
00:39:32.640 But really what we're talking about here is true religion and false religion.
00:39:36.820 And cults are false religions, as we use the term today.
00:39:41.700 Even if you are to say that there is such a thing as true religion and false religion,
00:39:46.220 you will be ostracized from polite liberal society.
00:39:49.180 Because we're all supposed to pretend that all religions are exactly the same.
00:39:52.320 And, you know, man, it's like we're all just grabbing different parts of the elephant, man.
00:39:55.940 And one guy grabs the leg and he thinks that it's a tree.
00:40:00.220 You know, and one guy grabs the trunk and he thinks it's a fire hose.
00:40:04.940 You know, and one guy, but really, man, we're all grabbing the same religion.
00:40:09.160 You know, man, this is really helping my coronavirus.
00:40:12.640 Thanks, Nancy Pelosi.
00:40:13.600 And that just isn't the case.
00:40:15.780 Religions make claims.
00:40:18.320 And those claims are true or they're false.
00:40:20.620 And those claims cannot be true and false at the same time.
00:40:24.240 So, to give an example, Christianity says that Christ is the second person of the blessed trinity,
00:40:29.620 the incarnate son of God, who from the very beginning was with God and was God and is God, right?
00:40:35.180 Because he is alive and he's resurrected from the dead, literally.
00:40:38.460 And then ascends into heaven.
00:40:40.780 Those are all claims.
00:40:42.300 Those are either true or false.
00:40:44.140 Islam, which can be viewed historically as a Christian heresy that splits off after Muhammad encountered a heretical Christian monk named Bahira
00:40:54.160 and developed a system of Christian heresy that denies the divinity of Christ and denies the resurrection for that matter, denies the crucifixion even.
00:41:04.200 That makes different claims.
00:41:06.200 And those can't simultaneously be true.
00:41:10.420 There's nothing offensive about saying that some things are true and some things are false.
00:41:15.380 We do this in politics all the time, right?
00:41:17.700 We say this is true and this is false.
00:41:20.800 We do this as matters of history all the time.
00:41:23.520 We do this as matters of philosophy all the time.
00:41:25.840 I guess the way that we do it in our modern culture is we talk about science.
00:41:29.620 Because science has now taken on this sort of idolized status.
00:41:36.440 And so we say science is precise, but everything else is not precise.
00:41:40.100 Science is right or wrong, true or false.
00:41:42.540 But everything else, it's just your opinion, man.
00:41:45.080 Well, opinions are statements of fact as we see it.
00:41:47.380 And those statements of fact are true or false.
00:41:49.200 So I think the real difference we're talking about here is true religion and false religion.
00:41:53.260 And I would recommend pursuing true religion.
00:41:57.480 From Jeremy.
00:41:59.040 Howdy, Mostly Peaceful Podcaster Knowles.
00:42:01.220 Reclaiming my time.
00:42:02.820 I have a terrible problem that I must get your advice on.
00:42:05.820 It's about cigars.
00:42:06.820 So you know this is a very serious situation.
00:42:08.980 They give me migraines, Michael.
00:42:10.540 Migraines on the level of which only a mouse with very sensitive hearing trapped in AOC's apartment would understand.
00:42:16.080 Reclaiming my time.
00:42:17.100 What is a brand that may not hurt this strong man with weak sinus cavities?
00:42:22.960 P.S. You may now go to the bathroom.
00:42:24.420 Wow, that was an amazing.
00:42:26.440 I felt like I was actually back in that Democratic congressional hearing.
00:42:31.400 Just the way that all came.
00:42:32.340 That was really, really beautifully done.
00:42:34.160 I'm sorry that cigars give you migraines.
00:42:36.720 You got to toughen up, pal.
00:42:38.220 I'm sorry to tell you that.
00:42:39.340 I'm someone who, you know, has sinus issues as well.
00:42:43.620 But you just, I think maybe you're smoking them wrong.
00:42:46.560 I get migraines all the time.
00:42:48.640 But something that might happen is you could get a little bit sick, you know, maybe a headache if you smoke on an empty stomach or if you're smoking cigars that are a little too full-bodied or too strong, you know, for where you are right now.
00:43:00.140 So I would start off with something a little bit lighter.
00:43:02.640 Also, you could get migraines and headaches if you're smoking low-quality cigars.
00:43:08.460 So you should just smoke higher-quality cigars.
00:43:10.160 Even if they're stronger, they'll go easier on you.
00:43:13.520 Some cigars are a little harsh in particular.
00:43:17.520 Dominican tobacco can be kind of harsh.
00:43:19.420 Cuban tobacco is not harsh at all.
00:43:20.760 It's really soft and smooth.
00:43:22.240 Connecticut shade tobacco is a little bit lighter too.
00:43:24.140 So you might try Connecticut wrappers in terms of lower, kind of lower shelf but very high-quality cigars.
00:43:31.240 Cusano 18, Nub, Cane, Oliva all make Connecticut varietals.
00:43:38.440 And that Connecticut shade wrapper I think will maybe help you out.
00:43:41.000 I love Connecticut shade tobacco.
00:43:43.580 From Michael.
00:43:44.760 Hey, Michael.
00:43:45.780 I'm trying to learn more about our country's history and was wondering if you had any recommendations.
00:43:49.700 I'm currently reading The Federalist, but I don't know what to jump to next.
00:43:52.400 Thanks so much.
00:43:53.240 Oh, The Federalist is just a tremendous place to start.
00:43:56.240 And we'll tell you a lot about our constitutional system.
00:43:59.460 I would recommend reading some of these popular history books.
00:44:02.100 I've recommended them on the show before.
00:44:04.020 David McCulloch's 1776 and Nathaniel Philbrick's Mayflower.
00:44:08.540 I think those two books, they're really readable.
00:44:11.060 They read like novels, but they really give you a sense, a wonderful sense.
00:44:15.080 Of that founding era.
00:44:17.700 You can also check out Ron Chernow's Washington and Hamilton biographies.
00:44:21.740 Those are good, too.
00:44:22.920 Obviously, more tailored to those individual men.
00:44:25.400 But 1776 tells you a lot about the American Revolution in a wonderful way.
00:44:29.900 And the Mayflower tells you about the first founding of America back with the pilgrims at Plymouth Rock.
00:44:35.980 All right.
00:44:39.500 From Jared.
00:44:40.700 Dear Michael, in episode 591, you asked,
00:44:43.240 If anyone in the world thinks New York City doesn't think that black lives matter,
00:44:46.320 I personally don't think New York City cares about black lives, nor does their incompetent mayor.
00:44:50.460 Because if they did care about black lives, they'd be sending officers to save black lives from shootings,
00:44:54.880 rather than sending them to protect Marxist murals on the streets.
00:44:57.780 Would you agree?
00:44:58.320 Yeah, I think that's true.
00:45:00.680 You know, they, I would say these leftist politicians care about black lives in the way that bad mothers care about their children.
00:45:10.840 In that, you know, good mothers care about their children.
00:45:14.360 Bad mothers care about their own fantasy of their children.
00:45:19.960 You see the difference.
00:45:22.240 They care about their children in, in as much as it serves their own preferences about their children,
00:45:28.940 what they want their children to want, how they want their children to be, how they imagine that their children are.
00:45:33.560 Not the real person, just this kind of fantasy in, in the mother's mind.
00:45:38.180 And we all, we, we've all met mothers who, who are like this to their children.
00:45:42.100 That's the same way the leftist politicians are.
00:45:45.000 We talked about this earlier on in the show.
00:45:48.940 Four out of five black people in America want more police funding,
00:45:52.560 or at least the same amount of police funding in their neighborhoods.
00:45:56.340 BLM doesn't care about that.
00:45:57.620 And the leftist politicians, even some Republican ones who are, who are bending the knee to BLM,
00:46:02.360 don't care about that either.
00:46:03.620 There's a big gap between what the people want and what the ideologues want the people to want.
00:46:08.940 And, you know, unfortunately, if you're, if all you care about is this fantasy of, of the other person in your mind,
00:46:15.980 then, then you don't really love them at all.
00:46:17.720 You're not, you don't really will the good of the other.
00:46:19.840 You will the good of this, this imaginary contrivance in your own head.
00:46:25.100 That's it.
00:46:25.580 We run out of time as always.
00:46:27.480 We have more questions to get to.
00:46:28.600 We'll have to wait until next week.
00:46:30.040 In the meantime, I'm Michael Knowles.
00:46:31.200 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:46:32.180 See you then.

00:47:29.180 You know, The Matt Walsh Show, it's not just another show about politics.
00:47:33.580 I think there are enough of those already out there.
00:47:35.500 We talk about culture because culture drives politics and it drives everything else.
00:47:40.260 So my main focuses are life, family, faith.
00:47:44.760 Those are fundamental.
00:47:46.180 And that's what this show is about.
00:47:47.600 I hope you'll give it a listen.
00:47:48.920 You know, The Matt Walsh Show.
00:47:49.980 The Matt Walsh Show.
00:47:50.920 The Matt Walsh Show.
