00:41:20.340 They launched a very strong attack on Brett Kavanaugh, and they nearly derailed his nomination.

00:41:30.720 So why is Dick Durbin saying there's nothing they can do?

00:41:34.680 Murkowski and Collins, two squishy Republicans, they have said that they won't go along with

00:41:42.200 So now you're down to, what, 51 votes, four and 49 against.

00:41:49.040 What Dick Durbin is trying to do here is dissuade Democrats from launching those very attacks

00:41:58.200 Dick Durbin knows things like court packing don't play well.

00:42:00.600 But more than that, he knows things like attacking this nice woman's family are going to kill the

00:42:06.240 He knows things like attacking this woman's religion are going to kill the Democrats in November.

00:42:14.880 going to play well in the battleground states that they have to win?
