00:00:30.420 Can you believe Donald Trump won't disavow white supremacists?

00:00:35.160 It's shocking.

00:00:36.520 It was so easy and he just couldn't do it.

00:00:39.340 He just refused.

00:00:40.620 In case you missed the debate, this is the biggest story from that whole debate the other night.

00:00:45.060 Here is just a little taste of President Trump.

00:00:48.960 I don't even, I don't even want to play it. 0.98

00:00:51.280 Here's just a little taste of President Trump, that racist, refusing to condemn white supremacists. 0.99

00:00:57.820 Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, 1.00

00:01:07.240 neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. 0.99

00:01:16.200 And you had people, and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. 0.88

00:01:23.360 We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal.

00:01:29.000 We are equal in the eyes of our creator.

00:01:32.840 We are equal under the law.

00:01:35.340 And we are equal under our constitution.

00:01:40.040 Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America.

00:01:45.840 How many times do I have to reject?

00:01:48.300 I've rejected David Duke, rejected David Duke.

00:01:51.560 I've rejected the KKK, the Ku Klux Klan.

00:01:55.680 From the time I'm five years old, I rejected them.

00:01:58.660 Now, I have been asked this question so many times.

00:02:01.220 I have rejected it so many times.

00:02:03.040 Oh, wait a minute.

00:02:03.860 Sorry, my mistake.

00:02:04.880 I guess he's condemned white supremacy and racism a zillion times.

00:02:09.820 Huh.

00:02:10.260 I guess the media is just lying about it.

00:02:11.880 I wonder what else they're lying about.

00:02:13.160 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:02:14.220 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:02:15.840 Gosh, those people, those editors at the news organizations, they might need to hire some

00:02:27.680 new people because it looks like their reporters are lying, just lying right through their teeth

00:02:32.380 about the president.

00:02:33.620 And hiring can be very, very difficult.

00:02:36.180 That's why I always prefer to use ZipRecruiter.

00:02:39.220 You see, ZipRecruiter does not depend on candidates finding you.

00:02:58.660 slash Knowles, K-N-N-W-L-E-S. 0.99

00:03:00.660 That is how Monica found Lamont Jenkins. 0.98

00:03:03.600 She said that ZipRecruiter sent Lamont's profile to her around five minutes after she posted her job because he was such a great match for the role.

00:03:10.740 Through ZipRecruiter, Monica's company has hired everyone from accountants to project managers to field scientists.

00:03:16.220 But Monica's not the only employer who loves ZipRecruiter. 1.00

00:03:20.860 Four out of five employers who post on ZipRecruiter get a quality candidate within, what, the first month, the first week?

00:03:27.260 No, the first day.

00:03:33.380 That is for free, totally zip zilch, not a free, at ZipRecruiter.com slash Knowles.

00:03:39.120 That is ZipRecruiter.com slash K-N-O-W-L-E-S, ZipRecruiter.com slash Knowles.

00:03:47.580 So my favorite comment from yesterday from Sean Murphy.

00:03:51.220 Democrats say a 19-year-old who committed double murder should not be executed because his brain isn't fully formed.

00:03:58.160 Democrats also say 16-year-olds should vote.

00:04:00.660 I know, this is the big issue.

00:04:02.820 This is, there's always this contradiction here with the Democrats,

00:04:05.660 which is the Democrats focus on consent, consent, consent, right?

00:04:10.900 So that's the only moral standard they have with consent.

00:04:13.720 And yet they're trying to extend consent over, over voting, over sexual matters, over gender, right?

00:04:20.920 Gender identity to people who are below the age of consent.

00:04:25.860 I mean, to even beyond the voting.

00:04:27.600 Sure, they're saying a 25-year-old, 40-year-old can't be executed for murder because when he was 19, his brain wasn't formed.

00:04:33.420 But a 16-year-old can vote.

00:04:34.880 And a 5-year-old can choose his own sex.

00:04:37.840 Doesn't make a lot of sense.

00:04:39.880 Lots of false information going around.

00:04:43.840 Notably on this issue of race, where it's the same old trick they use against every Republican.

00:04:49.220 They've used it against Donald Trump, even though he's condemned white supremacy a zillion times, including in the debate.

00:04:54.700 But then I guess what he had some issue where he didn't then totally condemn this one group that we're being told is a white supremacist group.

00:05:03.460 Joe Biden's already got an attack ad out about it.

00:05:05.260 Are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities, as we saw in Kenosha and as we've seen in Portland?

00:05:20.460 Look, are you prepared to specifically do it?

00:05:22.840 I would say almost everything I see is from the left wing, not from the right wing.

00:05:28.000 So what are you saying?

00:05:29.860 I'm willing to do anything.

00:05:31.200 I want to see peace.

00:05:32.000 Then do it, sir.

00:05:32.720 Say it.

00:05:33.220 Do it.

00:05:33.620 Say it.

00:05:34.720 Do you want to call him?

00:05:36.100 What do you want to call him?

00:05:36.920 Give me a name.

00:05:37.520 Give me a name. 1.00

00:05:37.980 White supremacists and white supremacists. 1.00

00:05:39.700 White supremacists and white supremacists. 1.00

00:05:40.420 White supremacists and white supremacists. 1.00

00:05:41.540 The Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. 1.00

00:05:50.940 The Proud Boys, the white supremacists.

00:05:55.180 Do you know, I mean, the Proud Boys, what, they're, they're the successor organization to the Ku Klux Klan, right? 0.99

00:06:00.000 They're a bunch of skinhead, neo-Nazi white supremacists, right? 0.98

00:06:03.660 Right? 1.00

00:06:04.280 That's what I've been told by the mainstream media, aren't they?

00:06:08.100 It turns out they're not.

00:06:09.860 It turns out they're not.

00:06:11.000 And do you know how I figured that out?

00:06:13.080 A simple Google search.

00:06:15.860 And then the first article that comes up is USA Today.

00:06:18.620 So I click on USA Today.

00:06:20.200 They're left wing, but they're a little more balanced, obviously, in the New York Times or something like that.

00:06:24.240 And I see right there at the top that the Proud Boys have ties to white supremacy. 0.85

00:06:28.100 Okay, well, all right, they're white supremacists. 0.81

00:06:29.960 That's it, right? 0.98

00:06:30.600 But luckily, I didn't stop there.

00:06:33.560 Luckily, I read two paragraphs down where I found a fact that was very confusing to me.

00:06:39.440 Apparently, the leader of the Proud Boys is a guy named Enrique Torrio.

00:06:45.600 And Enrique Torrio is an Afro-Cuban.

00:06:49.660 He's a black Cuban.

00:06:50.680 And then Enrique Torrio, the Afro-Cuban leader of the alleged white supremacist group, has come out and said that there are, quote,

00:07:00.840 longstanding regulations prohibiting racist, white supremacist, or violent activity.

00:07:06.880 This, according to the group's lawyer, Ronald Coleman.

00:07:13.820 He's also a spokesman, it turns out, for the Proud Boys.

00:07:16.940 Now, Torrio, the leader, the Afro-Cuban leader, says through Coleman, quote,

00:07:20.300 We do not care what color you are or what your background is. 0.95

00:07:23.280 If you love America, we consider you a brother.

00:07:26.180 And then the group condemned racism, fascism, communism, and socialism.

00:07:32.060 So, okay, we got the white supremacist Proud Boys run by an Afro-Cuban condemning racism, fascism, communism, and socialism.

00:07:39.920 Then you've got the left.

00:07:43.000 Then you've got the left.

00:07:43.940 BLM, in particular, BLM, using explicitly racist language and forget condemning communism and socialism, openly embracing it. 0.94

00:07:53.860 The leader of BLM went on television, Patrice Colores, and said, we are trained Marxists.

00:08:01.160 Once again, I should have known the left is accusing the right of the very thing that the left is doing.

00:08:09.520 And the thing that the right is not doing.

00:08:12.160 Look around the country at the destruction, the violence, the looting, the arson, the statues toppling down.

00:08:21.540 Is that being done by white supremacists?

00:08:23.320 I don't think so.

00:08:24.380 I don't see that.

00:08:24.920 Show me.

00:08:25.340 Show me them.

00:08:26.080 I don't see that.

00:08:27.180 I see Antifa. 0.80

00:08:28.740 A lot of those guys are white.

00:08:30.420 But I don't think they're white supremacists.

00:08:31.960 I think they're anarchists and communists.

00:08:33.400 I think they're leftists.

00:08:34.400 A lot of it's being done by BLM.

00:08:35.960 I don't think those guys are white supremacists.

00:08:39.520 All of that is being done with the encouragement of elected Democrats.

00:08:44.680 It's just a lie.

00:08:45.640 It's just another lie.

00:08:48.420 Now, I had a hunch about this because I remember, I followed the Proud Boys a little bit.

00:08:52.800 I don't really know the group very well, but I remember Gavin McGinnis founded it.

00:08:56.180 Gavin McGinnis, a comedian.

00:08:57.320 He's a little edgy, right?

00:08:58.600 He gets in trouble.

00:08:59.800 I think, I don't know.

00:09:00.700 I only know him a little bit, but I've never known Gavin to be a white supremacist.

00:09:04.600 And Gavin's not running in anymore.

00:09:06.760 It's this other fellow, Torrio.

00:09:09.060 And then I thought, because I've seen it at different, you know, big political rallies,

00:09:13.760 and there's a left there and the right there.

00:09:15.220 I have seen some Proud Boys.

00:09:16.740 And the thing that's a little weird when you see the Proud Boys, if you're told they're

00:09:19.740 white supremacists, is you see a lot of black Proud Boys and you see a lot of Hispanic Proud Boys.

00:09:24.780 And then it turns out their leader is an Afro-Cuban guy. 0.99

00:09:29.260 Just another lie.

00:09:31.480 Speaking of Hispanic guys, by the way, I think I know why the left is pushing this lie.

00:09:36.520 Because there was a poll that came out after the debate.

00:09:40.280 This was a poll done by Telemundo.

00:09:43.120 So for a Spanish-speaking audience, two-thirds of the Telemundo audience that was watching that

00:09:49.520 debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, two-thirds thought Trump won the debate.

00:09:54.780 Now, my view of this was that that was because these people didn't speak English.

00:09:58.580 So they were just looking at body language or something like that.

00:10:01.780 But I think that's actually a little unfair.

00:10:03.780 I don't think anybody won the debate.

00:10:05.260 I think it was more or less a draw.

00:10:06.380 I thought Trump scored better points in terms of the issues.

00:10:10.340 But because Chris Wallace kept bailing out Joe Biden, I didn't think it was such a clear win.

00:10:14.640 But the Spanish-speaking audience thought that.

00:10:17.480 Only 34% of the Telemundo audience thought that Joe Biden beat Donald Trump.

00:10:25.780 That's pretty interesting.

00:10:27.060 I don't know what that means in terms of how they were watching the debate.

00:10:31.280 But I do know what it means in terms of how Democrats are watching that poll.

00:10:34.560 Democrats are very afraid that President Trump is making some inroads with Hispanic voters,

00:10:40.200 possibly even black voters, two groups that the Democrats rely on.

00:10:44.080 Don't forget, Donald Trump doesn't need to win a majority of these groups.

00:10:47.220 He's just got to make inroads to crack the left's monopoly.

00:10:52.740 And it looks as though he might be doing this.

00:10:54.460 The left has never understood how they thought when Donald Trump came down that escalator in 2015

00:10:58.640 and said, we're going to end illegal immigration because drug cartels are sending rapists and

00:11:02.600 murderers across our border and we're not going to do that.

00:11:04.740 And some people are probably good people, but there are a lot of bad people crossing the border. 0.89

00:11:08.720 They said, oh yeah, he's a racist.

00:11:10.740 Did you see that, Hispanic Americans? 1.00

00:11:12.460 He's a racist. 1.00

00:11:13.760 He's saying that drug cartels are sending rapists and murderers. 1.00

00:11:17.000 And then a lot of Hispanic Americans turned to them and said, he's right. 1.00

00:11:20.640 He's right.

00:11:20.980 They're obviously, they're doing that.

00:11:22.040 And we, we don't support rapists and murderers just because of what, our skin color or something

00:11:27.160 or the language we speak.

00:11:29.080 How dare you say that?

00:11:30.600 How dare you do that?

00:11:32.640 And this is the same issue that's gone on as the Democrats have taken the black vote for,

00:11:37.620 for granted.

00:11:38.740 President Trump goes out, he makes a pitch.

00:11:40.000 He says, what have you got to lose?

00:11:42.140 What have you got to lose?

00:11:43.760 Well, it seems that that is making some inroads.

00:11:45.380 Will that translate in November?

00:11:47.020 I don't know, but the Democrats are certainly going to continue to try to gin up those racial 0.98

00:11:53.240 tensions.

00:11:54.080 What they're now saying is that debates themselves, this is how I know they think President Trump

00:11:59.840 did fairly well at the debate, or they're at least afraid of how he'll do at the next

00:12:03.700 debate.

00:12:04.480 Because now we're being told by the left that debates themselves are a, quote, threat to 0.98

00:12:10.100 black life, threat to black life. 1.00

00:12:13.280 That is some hysterical stuff. 0.99

00:12:17.420 I don't even know what that could mean.

00:12:19.540 You know what else I don't know?

00:12:20.460 I don't know how to fix my own car.

00:12:22.640 I don't know it very well.

00:12:23.840 But luckily, Rock Auto makes the process much, much easier.

00:12:27.180 RockAuto.com is a family business serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.

00:12:31.820 Go to RockAuto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.

00:12:36.040 Best of all, prices at RockAuto.com are always reliably low and the same for professionals

00:12:41.940 and do-it-yourselfers.

00:12:43.320 Why spend up to twice as much for the same parts?

00:12:46.280 RockAuto.com catalog is unique, remarkably easy to navigate.

00:12:49.860 Quickly see all the parts available for your vehicle and choose the brands, specifications,

00:12:54.100 specifications, and prices you prefer.

00:12:56.400 They have a great selection.

00:12:57.660 They have reliably low prices.

00:12:58.840 And my favorite part of it, even I can understand the catalog.

00:13:02.360 And then you don't need to go into the brick and mortar and then they don't have your part

00:13:05.280 and then they go online probably to RockAuto.com, order it, charge you twice as much.

00:13:08.920 You don't have to do any of that.

00:13:10.020 Go to RockAuto.com right now.

00:13:12.220 See all the parts available for your car or truck.

00:13:14.900 Write Knowles, K-N-A-W-L-E-S, in there. 1.00

00:13:17.660 How did you hear about us, Box?

00:13:19.660 So that they know that we sent you.

00:13:21.880 That is RockAuto.com makes the process so easy that even I can do it. 0.78

00:13:28.940 Debates themselves, we are now told, are a, quote, threat to black life.

00:13:34.900 This is from Melissa Harris Perry.

00:13:36.720 She had a show on MSNBC.

00:13:38.400 She's been a prominent left-winger for some time.

00:13:40.540 She was responding to someone who said if the presidential debates are just going to

00:13:43.060 give Trump a platform to mobilize white supremacists, cancel them.

00:13:46.420 Cancel them. 0.92

00:13:47.760 White supremacists, I guess they're talking about the Proud Boys. 1.00

00:13:51.460 But as we just said, look, the Proud Boys, they might be no good, terrible, rotten, dirty, 1.00

00:13:56.540 horrible people. 1.00

00:13:57.780 I don't know.

00:13:58.400 What do I know?

00:13:58.860 I don't know anything about the Proud Boys.

00:14:00.440 But here's what I do know.

00:14:02.780 By definition, they can't be white supremacists, right? 0.87

00:14:07.180 Because like their leader is not a white guy.

00:14:10.600 And a lot of their members are not white guys.

00:14:12.940 And they explicitly condemn racism and white supremacy.

00:14:16.060 So at least I know that.

00:14:17.340 So I know that tweet is a lie.

00:14:18.700 And then Melissa Harris Perry responding says, yes, cancel them. 0.96

00:14:22.800 The debates are now a danger to public safety and a threat to black life. 1.00

00:14:26.660 Cancel the debates. 0.95

00:14:29.100 This is what you hear a lot now from the left.

00:14:32.100 They say, it's not that I need to shut you up because I can't bear to hear some hard truth

00:14:39.920 that you're saying.

00:14:40.560 Or I can't bear to refute some lie that you're saying.

00:14:44.400 They're saying, your speech is a threat to my life.

00:14:48.420 It makes me unsafe.

00:14:50.440 I need a safe space.

00:14:51.820 That's where safe space comes from.

00:14:55.260 How is the debate a threat to anybody's life?

00:14:58.340 Well, because it's going to gin up violence, right?

00:15:00.000 President Trump's ginning up white supremacist violence.

00:15:01.880 Except all the violence of the last six months has been from the left.

00:15:05.120 In fact, all of it, all of it, all of it, look around the different cities, Minneapolis,

00:15:12.920 Portland, New York, DC, Chicago, always Chicago, Los Angeles, every, all over the place.

00:15:22.860 That's not right wing violence.

00:15:24.720 It's not conservative violence.

00:15:26.540 It's not white supremacist violence.

00:15:29.700 It's not, it's not any of that.

00:15:31.700 It's all leftist.

00:15:33.700 It's all these left anarchists who are being encouraged by the democratic party.

00:15:38.460 When Joe Biden comes out and says, we can't take four more years of this.

00:15:40.900 He's saying, vote for Trump.

00:15:42.300 Don't elect me.

00:15:43.280 And we're going to burn your country to the ground for another four years.

00:15:46.200 That is a threat.

00:15:47.880 That is a threat.

00:15:48.720 Maybe, maybe that's the issue.

00:15:50.000 Maybe, maybe Melissa Harris Perry is worried that Joe Biden is ginning up his base,

00:15:54.860 which is actually committing the violence.

00:15:58.160 All I know is that this white supremacist thing,

00:16:01.360 this idea that America is a white supremacist country is a bizarre fantasy. 0.91

00:16:05.700 It's like a national fetish. 0.74

00:16:07.740 It's so weird.

00:16:09.260 And it's so obviously contrary to reality.

00:16:12.720 We, we have one law in this country that does discriminate on the basis of race.

00:16:18.400 That law is called affirmative action that discriminates on the basis of race,

00:16:23.720 but it gives an advantage to people who are black or who are Hispanic.

00:16:27.780 And it gives a disadvantage to people who are white or Asian,

00:16:30.520 most notably in the college application process,

00:16:33.120 which is why Asian students have been suing Harvard and Yale.

00:16:36.360 This is why the department of justice is investigating places such as Yale for this very matter.

00:16:43.500 That's not white supremacy.

00:16:45.880 That's the opposite of white supremacy.

00:16:48.120 Show me the white supremacist law.

00:16:49.960 Point to it in the books.

00:16:50.920 Where is it?

00:16:51.800 Doesn't exist.

00:16:53.120 College campuses are probably the craziest place for this sort of thing.

00:16:57.900 And things just got even crazier.

00:17:00.500 There is a, a, a college professor, a guy named Matthew J. Mayhew,

00:17:07.600 who just wrote a piece about how he likes college football.

00:17:12.460 It's called why America needs college football.

00:17:15.780 Brings us together, distracts us.

00:17:18.140 You know, we can, we can fight over silly things like football teams and we can all just sit down,

00:17:22.720 maybe grill up some steaks, crack a cold one, be Americans again, right? 0.98

00:17:29.760 Well, he now has to apologize for that. 0.55

00:17:32.320 Apparently that was white supremacist.

00:17:34.560 If college football is white supremacist.

00:17:36.920 Who knew?

00:17:37.680 Apparently it is.

00:17:38.320 From Inside Higher Ed.

00:17:42.420 Matthew J. Mayhew apologizes for an article that he recently wrote for, for Inside Higher Ed

00:17:46.540 and describes beginning a long process of anti-racist learning.

00:17:50.820 Anti-racist, by the way, is the scariest Orwellian term that has been invented since anti-fascist.

00:17:58.420 Because obviously it doesn't mean what it pretends to mean.

00:18:00.960 It means the opposite.

00:18:04.240 America doesn't, this is what he writes.

00:18:05.580 America doesn't need college football.

00:18:07.380 I was wrong. 0.99

00:18:08.120 And even worse, I was uninformed, ignorant, and harm inducing.

00:18:11.320 I am sorry for the hurt, sadness, frustration, fatigue, exhaustion, and pain this article has caused anyone,

00:18:16.080 but specifically black students in the higher education community and beyond.

00:18:19.860 I am struggling to find the words to communicate the deep ache for the damage I have done.

00:18:26.860 I don't want to write anything that further deepens the pain experienced by my ignorance related to black male athletes in the black community,

00:18:33.640 all capital B, by the way, at any time, but especially in light of the national racial unrest.

00:18:39.440 Unrest.

00:18:39.940 That's another Orwellian term, isn't it?

00:18:41.600 Unrest.

00:18:42.260 You mean violence.

00:18:43.520 You mean BLM violence burning down cities.

00:18:45.460 Yeah.

00:18:45.560 I also don't want to write anything that suggests that anti-racist learning is quick or easy.

00:18:50.860 No, it ain't quick or easy.

00:18:52.580 Man, they're going to torture you until you finish it and figure it out.

00:18:56.720 Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

00:18:59.300 Yeah, here's my favorite line. 0.99

00:19:01.060 I learned that black men putting their bodies on the line for my enjoyment. 1.00

00:19:05.260 See, this is the new thing because they're all materialists, so it's all about black bodies, not black people. 1.00

00:19:09.860 They don't have souls, according to the left. 0.98

00:19:11.380 They just have bodies. 0.52

00:19:12.280 And any time you have a body and it's used in sports, for instance, that's evil because there could be violence to the bodies.

00:19:19.360 I learned that black men putting their bodies on the line for my enjoyment is inspired and maintained by my uninformed and disconnected whiteness. 0.95

00:19:27.140 And, as written in my previous article, positions student athletes as white property. 0.87

00:19:32.200 White, lowercase w.

00:19:33.760 B, black, capital B, white, lowercase w. 0.99

00:19:36.100 This is obviously really pathetic, really racist, really condescending, and really, really wrong stuff. 0.99

00:19:44.720 All because some wimp, weirdo, creep professor made the completely obvious statement that college football is fun. 1.00

00:19:59.600 He expressed his preference for college football. 0.98

00:20:03.140 You want to see how crazy this national mania over white supremacy has become?

00:20:07.460 Governor Gavin Newsom, Governor Patrick Bateman over here in California, just signed legislation yesterday that will establish a nine-member state task force to study slavery and explore the potential avenues for reparations for black people.

00:20:23.440 The law does not say, should we or should we not have reparations, take money from some people and give them to black people today, some of whose ancestors were slaves, maybe, many of whose ancestors were not slaves, some of whom descended from slave owners like Kamala Harris or Barack Obama.

00:20:44.480 It's not should they or shouldn't they, it's how much and to whom, reparations for slavery in California.

00:20:55.240 I don't know how many of you are history buffs.

00:20:57.620 A lot of people are missing the greatest irony of this California reparations bill.

00:21:01.120 Look, the reparations argument is completely ridiculous, but a lot of people are missing the biggest irony here.

00:21:07.460 California was a free state, was not a slave state, was a free state.

00:21:13.800 Actually, the entrance of California into the Union was one of the causes of the Civil War.

00:21:21.740 California entering the Union, the Compromise of 1850, is a moment where the United States is grappling with the fact that slavery is untenable because you're always in this tense situation where you have to introduce a state, a slave state and a free state, both at the same time.

00:21:37.420 You can't have these two things running forever and ever.

00:21:39.960 Ultimately, then, by the end of that decade, you have the Civil War, which, as far as I can tell, was pretty good reparations for slavery.

00:21:47.960 National tearing apart 700,000 people, Americans, dead, grappling with this issue, grappling with this problem.

00:21:57.100 And then, obviously, plenty of racially discriminatory laws that came up, Jim Crow, right, that actually were racially discriminatory on behalf of whites in certain areas.

00:22:07.800 And then, after, to rectify that, you had laws that tried to, and this is Sandra Day O'Connor describes it this way.

00:22:15.520 You had to discriminate back on the other side to rectify that. 0.85

00:22:19.080 But now, all of that, none of that, all of that, including the Civil War, means absolutely nothing because California is going to take money from some people and give it to other people.

00:22:27.300 How are you going to do that?

00:22:29.100 Let me just give you one of the ironies of history that shows how crazy this reparations issue is.

00:22:36.420 The first officially recognized slave owner of an arbitrarily declared slave for life, a guy who would be declared sort of the first slave owner in the system that became American slavery, was a black guy.

00:22:53.380 He was a black Angolan named Anthony Johnson.

00:22:55.840 His slave, who a court just declared, you're a slave for life, not because you committed a crime, not for some offense, not for debt, just, you're just a slave now, you're, you're his property for life. 0.95

00:23:05.520 John Kasor, another black guy.

00:23:09.480 Do the descendants of Anthony Johnson, the slave owner, do they get reparations because of the color of their skin?

00:23:17.880 What about the descendants of John Kasor?

00:23:19.840 Do they, can they go back to the descendants of Anthony Johnson and say, give me money because your great, great, great, great granddaddy owned my great, great, great, great granddaddy?

00:23:28.580 Or is it going to just be based on race?

00:23:30.300 If it's based on race, that's going to be pretty weird because there was an irony when Barack Obama became the first black president that he wasn't descended from any American slaves, right?

00:23:40.340 His father is from Kenya.

00:23:41.400 He was actually descended from a slave owner on the white side of his family.

00:23:47.700 Is Barack Obama entitled to reparations?

00:23:49.840 Does Barack Obama need reparations?

00:23:51.100 It seems like he's doing pretty good.

00:23:55.220 This is not to say that there isn't historical injustice.

00:23:58.560 It's actually to say the opposite.

00:24:00.000 There's always historical injustice.

00:24:01.600 There's injustice right now.

00:24:02.740 Give you one example.

00:24:03.580 We're killing a million babies a year. 1.00

00:24:04.880 Obviously, they won't have ancestors to receive reparations. 0.96

00:24:10.240 Would that they did.

00:24:11.320 Wouldn't that be so wonderful?

00:24:13.740 The problem here is not a representation of historical injustice.

00:24:17.980 The problem is a complete misunderstanding of, of what the world is, right?

00:24:21.140 It's a fallen world.

00:24:22.780 It's not perfectible.

00:24:24.560 You can't, you cannot, you actually cannot make up for every injustice in history.

00:24:29.740 Couldn't, couldn't possibly be done.

00:24:31.360 Now, there is, there is a way to get out of this cycle.

00:24:36.760 The way to get out of this cycle, this is going to be the most shocking thing of all,

00:24:40.100 is Christianity because the son of God comes down to earth and dies for your sins and gives you redemption.

00:24:49.640 That is the whole point of Christianity is to solve this problem that American leftists,

00:24:54.840 Western leftists now have rejected, right?

00:24:56.880 They've totally rejected that religion.

00:24:58.400 And so all they have is the injustice.

00:25:00.500 All they have is the sin, the original sin, as we would call it.

00:25:04.000 The people call slavery the original sin.

00:25:05.560 I call original sin the original sin.

00:25:07.280 But all you have is that, right?

00:25:08.920 All you have is this sense that we are fallen, we are broken, this world is not perfectible.

00:25:12.820 But when you get rid of the Christianity from the civilization, there's no redemption. 1.00

00:25:17.160 There's no way out. 1.00

00:25:18.240 There's just burning the whole damn thing to the ground. 0.98

00:25:20.460 And that is, at bottom, the philosophical issue and the theological issue and the anthropological 0.98

00:25:25.920 issue that we've been struggling with for not just the past six months, but since our sense

00:25:32.360 of religion has ebbed from our society.

00:25:35.640 And it's not going to get better until we recover that.

00:25:38.520 A reparations bill isn't going to do a damn thing.

00:25:41.920 Now, the good news, I do have some good news here, even as the left has totally rejected

00:25:46.240 redemption.

00:25:47.220 I do have some good news.

00:25:49.300 People are beginning to turn on the left.

00:25:52.700 Minnesota, right now, there was a poll, the NPR News Star Tribune, KARE 11 Minnesota poll

00:25:59.180 was just released on Saturday about views on Black Lives Matter, an avowedly Marxist organization

00:26:05.020 that exacerbates this very issue we've just been talking about.

00:26:08.960 But people were asked, do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of the Black Lives Matter

00:26:13.620 movement?

00:26:14.780 46% of poll respondents said they have an unfavorable view compared to 42% who say favorable.

00:26:22.100 More people dislike the BLM movement now than like it.

00:26:27.340 I wonder why.

00:26:28.320 It turns out when you burn down people's cities, they don't like you very much.

00:26:32.500 They don't think that's particularly productive.

00:26:34.800 It doesn't help anybody, obviously.

00:26:37.180 BLM says we need to defund the police.

00:26:38.960 Four out of five Black voters say we should not defund the police.

00:26:42.380 There's a chasm opening up here between what the ideologues think people should want and

00:26:46.480 what people actually want.

00:26:48.420 One number, one statistic has me a little worried, though.

00:26:53.380 I like those statistics.

00:26:54.460 I like that the Hispanic viewers of Telemundo thought Trump won the debate.

00:26:58.560 I like that more people in Minneapolis and Minnesota are turning against BLM than support

00:27:03.960 BLM. 0.71

00:27:04.360 But there's a number that worries me.

00:27:05.740 According to Deadline, the debate the other night drew just 27.3 million viewers, which

00:27:10.720 is a 36% drop from 2016.

00:27:14.580 Why does this worry me?

00:27:15.600 This worries me because I fear that there will not be the same enthusiasm to go out there and

00:27:21.740 beat Joe Biden as there was to beat Hillary Clinton.

00:27:23.700 Listen, people tuned in in 2016 because Hillary Clinton is so, so, so unlikable. 1.00

00:27:31.220 She is a liar. 1.00

00:27:33.480 She's a cheat. 1.00

00:27:35.020 She's a crook. 1.00

00:27:36.640 She's just people have not liked this woman for a very long, ever since she tried to destroy 0.99

00:27:41.400 our healthcare system the first time.

00:27:43.320 There were bumper stickers in the nineties said, impeach Clinton and her husband.

00:27:46.980 Remember that?

00:27:49.380 They don't feel that way about Joe Biden.

00:27:51.200 Joe Biden is a joke.

00:27:52.500 He's a punchline. 1.00

00:27:53.700 He's a doofus. 0.99

00:27:55.200 He's a plagiarist. 1.00

00:27:56.460 He's a liar. 1.00

00:27:57.200 He's a cynic. 1.00

00:27:57.880 Sure.

00:27:59.200 But he's just much, much more likable.

00:28:02.920 And if people are not willing to tune in to watch Trump smack down Biden, right?

00:28:06.600 And the way they were willing to smack down Hillary, they might not be willing to go show 0.98

00:28:10.680 up.

00:28:11.200 And by the way, we're still litigating the 2016 election.

00:28:14.620 This hasn't ended.

00:28:15.300 This is all just one long process here.

00:28:18.400 The Democrats still haven't accepted the results of the 2016 election.

00:28:22.000 They cheated.

00:28:23.000 The administration spied on President Trump's campaign.

00:28:26.580 And then those bureaucrats, those holdovers, those Democrats tried to launch a coup to overturn

00:28:32.160 the election.

00:28:33.400 And a lot of this came down to James Comey, the former FBI director, who our pal Senator

00:28:38.080 Ted Cruz absolutely slammed on the Hill yesterday.

00:28:42.560 This investigation of the president was corrupt.

00:28:45.520 The FBI and the Department of Justice were politicized and weaponized.

00:28:49.900 And in my opinion, there are only two possibilities. 0.86

00:28:53.040 That you were deliberately corrupt or woefully incompetent.

00:28:57.120 And I don't believe you were incompetent.

00:28:59.020 This has done severe damage to the professionals and the honorable men and women at the FBI because

00:29:08.340 law enforcement should not be used as a political weapon.

00:29:11.600 And that is the legacy you've left. 1.00

00:29:15.840 Jim Comey, for all of his many flaws, does not appear to be a stupid man. 0.99

00:29:30.040 It is not possible that the amount of lies, the amount of cover-ups, the amount of illegal 0.99

00:29:37.100 activity that took place during and around the 2016 election, just whoopsie days he passed

00:29:43.560 without his notice.

00:29:44.960 That is not credible.

00:29:46.420 You saw during the debate, President Trump said, we're going to get to the bottom of what

00:29:49.700 happened.

00:29:50.080 And by the way, by the way, Joe, you signed off on a lot of those activities.

00:29:56.460 And you could see Joe Biden, he didn't know how to respond to that.

00:29:59.060 He kind of, he didn't know how to respond to a lot of things.

00:30:00.940 But he didn't get one of his barbs and he just kind of let that one go.

00:30:05.600 We will be speaking to Senator Ted Cruz.

00:30:07.760 You know, I speak to Senator Ted Cruz a lot because we have this show together verdict.

00:30:11.220 But I had Senator Cruz come over to my channel.

00:30:14.240 We filmed an interview.

00:30:15.580 It will be available on the Michael Nol Show YouTube channel because I, look, I didn't

00:30:19.140 want to talk about all that, you know, really important stuff about whatever, the Supreme

00:30:22.760 Court and the Constitution, whatever.

00:30:24.520 I had something else that I needed the senator to talk to me about, which is I needed him to

00:30:29.620 teach me how to write a book with words.

00:30:30.940 You know, I'm writing a book with words right now, but it's much more difficult than writing

00:30:34.080 a book without words.

00:30:34.780 So the senator came over, gave me a couple of lessons, head on over to the YouTube channel,

00:30:37.800 check it out.

00:30:38.340 In the meantime, get the senator's book, One Vote Away, How a Single Supreme Court Seat

00:30:44.100 Can Change History.

00:30:46.180 I got to tell you, my, my big plug for this book is that most politician books are incredibly 1.00

00:30:52.600 stupid and they're all like, it's like the courage to be, the courage to have courage, 0.99

00:30:59.540 the leadership of leading politicians and leading and being a leader. 1.00

00:31:04.180 And they're all just dumb and they didn't even write it themselves. 0.99

00:31:06.600 Usually they didn't have it, they didn't probably even read it themselves and they're just not 1.00

00:31:09.560 worth reading.

00:31:10.440 The senator's book, very much worth reading.

00:31:12.940 I do know that he did this book.

00:31:15.600 I know it because these are his stories.

00:31:17.720 They're his stories from consequential Supreme Court cases that hinged on one single vote.

00:31:22.660 You'll actually leave learning something.

00:31:23.900 So I'm really enjoying it, reading it right now.

00:31:26.180 Also, just another little plug, a new pro-life movie is coming out called The Order of Rights

00:31:30.460 starring my producer, Ben Davies.

00:31:32.980 That's right.

00:31:33.600 Ben Davies and Emma L. Roberts.

00:31:35.320 It's going to be released tomorrow, October 2nd on streaming platforms.

00:31:37.880 So go on and check that out as well.

00:31:39.960 We'll be right back with the mailbag.

00:31:41.960 Let's get into it from Jeremy.

00:31:58.180 Dear fiery yet mostly peaceful Catholic cult member and podcaster Knowles, in whom I should

00:32:03.140 note the dogma lives loudly.

00:32:05.540 I have a question about the I paid more taxes than Trump stickers.

00:32:10.040 Why would leftists be proud of this?

00:32:11.960 Using their own arguments, the stickers should read, I paid more taxes to a system of white 0.99

00:32:16.340 supremacy and minority oppression than Trump.

00:32:19.440 Is there a fault in my logic on this?

00:32:21.180 Thanks.

00:32:21.620 P.S.

00:32:22.040 Reclaiming my time.

00:32:23.060 Yeah, it's the same issue that you hear from the left on guns, for instance.

00:32:28.040 They say, Trump is a Nazi, so give the government all your guns.

00:32:34.540 Well, hold on. 0.93

00:32:34.960 Trump? 1.00

00:32:35.940 Trump is the head of the government and Trump is a Nazi. 0.99

00:32:39.120 So you're telling me to give all my guns to Nazis. 0.98

00:32:43.680 Doesn't matter.

00:32:44.460 Because they don't pay attention to their logic.

00:32:46.640 And at a base level, they don't believe in logic. 1.00

00:32:52.100 I'm not saying that, oh, they're dumb. 0.99

00:32:53.960 Oh, they don't have facts and logic. 0.99

00:32:55.600 I'm actually saying something a little more radical than that.

00:32:58.640 But they don't have faith in logic.

00:33:01.560 They think that logic, and they've said this recently in popular pamphlets that have gone

00:33:05.660 out.

00:33:05.980 They think logic is a social construct that was invented by human beings to prop up white 1.00

00:33:12.740 supremacy and patriarchy.

00:33:14.640 They'll say that.

00:33:15.480 They'll say reason, logic, objective truth.

00:33:18.260 These are terms that are about white supremacy.

00:33:20.380 And so, obviously, if they don't have any faith in logic, they can make an argument, but then

00:33:24.720 they'll make the opposite argument out of the other side of their mouth, and it doesn't

00:33:27.400 matter to them because it's all just fake anyway.

00:33:30.920 This is a very simple example of sophistry.

00:33:34.780 When you're like, he's a sophist.

00:33:36.380 He's using sophistry.

00:33:38.060 That's what it is, where it's all about the rhetoric.

00:33:41.380 It's all about the sound of the argument and the emotion and the passion, but it's not

00:33:45.860 about the logic of the argument itself because there is none.

00:33:48.680 From Andrew, hey, Michael, it came to mind that the government having marriage, whether

00:33:52.920 it be gay or straight, is against the First Amendment, freedom of religion. 0.89

00:33:57.680 Being that marriage is a religious institution, this should be, should have to be something 0.50

00:34:02.680 for the people on their own to have to sort out, not something the government even has

00:34:06.660 a right to intervene in.

00:34:08.000 Curious what your thoughts are on this.

00:34:09.500 Am I misreading this?

00:34:10.460 Thanks, love your show and all you do.

00:34:11.880 You are, in fact, misreading this.

00:34:13.720 Murder is prohibited by the Ten Commandments, right?

00:34:20.060 Murder.

00:34:21.080 That's a religious statement that murder is evil.

00:34:25.660 Thou shalt not commit murder.

00:34:27.720 That's a religious statement.

00:34:29.140 It's a moral claim.

00:34:31.280 So therefore, the government has no business in murder laws, right?

00:34:34.940 Wrong.

00:34:35.540 You shall not steal.

00:34:39.200 That's another religious claim.

00:34:41.360 So the government has no right, right?

00:34:44.000 You shall not covet your neighbor's ox.

00:34:47.000 That's also a religious claim.

00:34:48.380 I don't know that we have laws against coveting one's neighbor's ox, but perhaps we should.

00:34:53.540 All laws are moral laws.

00:34:56.060 I think what you're, you're kind of getting to this very, take your hands off kind of approach

00:35:00.640 to government, kind of a libertarian approach maybe, even though there are a lot of problems

00:35:05.820 with libertarianism, but it's a hands off, hey, you know, I don't, I don't want to be

00:35:11.580 willing to make any claims about, substantive claims about the good because we can never

00:35:16.040 know the good, so I'm just going to back off.

00:35:18.280 And that doesn't work because all laws necessarily are moral laws.

00:35:22.420 And when you get to the extreme of libertarians, they basically say it's all just about consent,

00:35:26.520 right?

00:35:26.720 So basically marriage is just a contract, right?

00:35:29.060 So as long as you enforce contract law, it's fine or, or business, right?

00:35:32.740 Now it's just about consent, but, but none of us actually believes that, right?

00:35:36.400 If I, for instance, let's say I'm going to start a business, I'm going to start, uh, the,

00:35:41.680 a huge prostitution ring, all right? 0.71

00:35:44.880 And I contract with people, all right?

00:35:47.220 It's all consenting adults.

00:35:48.260 And I start a huge prostitution ring that would still be illegal. 0.92

00:35:52.160 Let me take it one step further.

00:35:53.120 I start a huge prostitution ring and I put it next to your home in the suburbs. 1.00

00:35:59.060 Right?

00:35:59.840 The zoning laws, forget about the zoning laws.

00:36:02.060 I'm, this is my consent.

00:36:03.640 Government has no right to come in and stop me from doing that because I've consented to

00:36:09.560 it.

00:36:10.200 And your idea that there needs to be some separate space for residential living that's outside

00:36:15.680 of the commercial world, your idea, most importantly, that there shouldn't be prostitution

00:36:19.420 rings in your neighborhood, that's a religious idea.

00:36:21.200 That gets down to your weird religious hangups about sex and stuff, right?

00:36:24.340 So anyway, you, government has no right to die.

00:36:26.320 Of course not.

00:36:27.120 And by the way, the mare, the marriage issue, there are even some quote unquote conservatives

00:36:31.260 who say government should get out of marriage.

00:36:33.820 Not possible because marriage is a religious institution, I guess sometimes, but it's primarily

00:36:39.360 a political institution.

00:36:40.720 Actually, marriage predates Christianity.

00:36:43.680 Marriage predates, there are plenty of marriages that happen outside of a religious sphere.

00:36:47.980 It's a political institution.

00:36:49.380 It's actually the bedrock political institution.

00:36:52.780 So the debate over same sex marriage, as it became called, was not a debate over who

00:36:58.420 should have rights.

00:36:59.480 It was no, at least if we're being honest about it, it's not a debate over who, who should

00:37:03.800 have rights.

00:37:04.480 The debate was over what is marriage.

00:37:06.620 And for all of human history, the marriage, the term marriage has had at its essence, sexual

00:37:14.180 difference, husbands and wives.

00:37:16.580 Then, like 10 years ago, it was suggested that we redefine that pretty radically to say

00:37:21.840 sexual difference has nothing to do with marriage.

00:37:24.540 But for some reason, monogamy still has to do with marriage.

00:37:27.920 I don't know why.

00:37:29.020 How come?

00:37:29.520 So if we can redefine it so radically to take out the sexual difference aspect, why does

00:37:33.460 it have to be monogamous? 0.95

00:37:35.560 Right?

00:37:35.840 If one man loves three women, that certainly has much more historical precedent than taking 0.90

00:37:41.120 out the sexual difference piece.

00:37:42.320 So it's, I think it's disingenuous.

00:37:44.060 Obviously, the state has a great interest in children, in propagating the next generation,

00:37:49.920 regulating that, child abuse, all these sorts of things.

00:37:53.000 There is a role for the child protective services to come in.

00:37:57.680 State has a role in all of that.

00:37:59.520 And if our politics is to have any meaning at all, it must be able to discuss and establish

00:38:05.780 a definition for the bedrock political institution.

00:38:09.380 But we never got to have that debate because the left just begged the question.

00:38:14.820 The left just assumed its own conclusion, namely that marriage is the monogamous union

00:38:19.480 of any two people who love each other.

00:38:22.980 For a lot of history, love was not the central consideration in marriage, at least not romantic

00:38:28.020 love in the way that we think of it now.

00:38:29.900 Okay?

00:38:30.100 But they just assumed.

00:38:30.820 They said, okay, that's it.

00:38:31.580 And so sexual difference goes out the window.

00:38:32.840 And now we've assumed our own conclusion and therefore we've proved it.

00:38:35.260 So we're going to do it.

00:38:35.820 We never had that debate and sadly, as our national presidential debate showed us the

00:38:41.620 other night, we might not be serious enough anymore in this country to have real debates.

00:38:46.920 So maybe the left was right.

00:38:48.580 From Danny, hey Michael, I consider myself a recovering leftist.

00:38:52.280 I was converted to conservatism by my wonderful husband. 0.86

00:38:55.320 When you often describe the crazy purple-haired feminist, that was me. 0.54

00:38:58.500 Oh, hey, I'm glad we got a former purple-haired feminist to watch a show. 1.00

00:39:02.340 I recently posted something about Breonna Taylor's case on social media.

00:39:06.860 And my old college roommate, who I haven't seen in years, flat out called me a racist.

00:39:10.420 Yeah, that's what they do.

00:39:11.620 They do that a lot.

00:39:12.740 All because we didn't agree.

00:39:14.620 My position to you is in two parts.

00:39:16.640 How do you handle personal vitriol from those you may have once considered friends?

00:39:20.360 And how does it end for America?

00:39:22.020 Came for Ben, stayed for Knowles.

00:39:23.440 This is a fallen world.

00:39:24.980 Evil happens.

00:39:25.780 And going back to what we were discussing earlier with regard to the only possibility of redemption,

00:39:34.180 Christ comes into the world and he doesn't say, hey, I'm the way and the truth and the life.

00:39:39.980 And when you proclaim me and when you are with me, then everybody will be really nice to you.

00:39:46.060 He does not say that.

00:39:47.940 Yeah, you'll be treated so well in this world.

00:39:51.080 He who thrives in this world for my sake will keep thriving.

00:39:56.360 No, it doesn't say all of that.

00:39:59.760 People don't like the truth, right?

00:40:03.040 You want the truth?

00:40:04.040 You can't handle the truth.

00:40:06.000 So very often people would rather live in darkness and shadows and not be in the light and not talk about the truth.

00:40:13.700 And this is just baked into it.

00:40:15.380 Look at what they did to Jesus, right?

00:40:17.820 Just not to put too fine a point on it.

00:40:19.360 But that actually is an example for us.

00:40:23.860 That is what happened.

00:40:24.680 Pick up your cross.

00:40:25.940 Pick up your cross and bear it, right?

00:40:28.100 So obviously we're just talking about a very narrow example here, which is over some political debates.

00:40:34.080 But it gets to a broader example, which is that very often when you proclaim the truth, you will be persecuted for it because it's a fallen world.

00:40:42.040 That's the cost of it.

00:40:43.660 That's the cost of preferring the truth to lies. 0.97

00:40:46.580 That's the cost of having courage to being a coward.

00:40:50.520 That's the cost of the virtues.

00:40:52.980 I think the benefits of those virtues certainly outweigh the costs.

00:40:58.360 It's a good investment in the long run.

00:41:00.080 But in the short run, your former friends are going to say all sorts of nasty, horrible things about you.

00:41:05.080 That's just the way it is.

00:41:05.760 I'll give you an example of this.

00:41:08.240 My first political campaign I ever worked on was for a friend of mine.

00:41:11.460 She was running for Congress in my district. 0.99

00:41:13.780 I was 18 or 19, so freshman or sophomore in college.

00:41:19.360 In my hometown, I had been the golden boy my whole life.

00:41:22.800 You know, top of the class, class president.

00:41:25.020 Always all the parents were very nice to me and everything.

00:41:28.380 And very sort of, I don't know, I was very well liked.

00:41:32.180 And the minute that I started working for a Republican, totally mainstream Republican candidate,

00:41:37.960 just as an intern on a campaign, half the town called me all sorts of horrible things.

00:41:44.720 Said, wait a second, two weeks ago you were saying I was a nice guy.

00:41:46.840 Well, yeah, but now you're a Republican, so sorry. 1.00

00:41:49.880 Sorry, you're a terrible, racist, awful, vicious, terrible, no good person. 1.00

00:41:53.960 Comes with the territory. 1.00

00:41:55.740 Comes with the territory.

00:41:56.600 And Dick Cheney had a point on this.

00:41:59.280 He was asked, does it bother you that people call you Darth Vader?

00:42:01.400 And he said, when I was Secretary of Defense, I was the most popular man in the country,

00:42:04.480 90 plus percent approval rating.

00:42:06.680 When I was vice president, I was one of the least popular men in the country.

00:42:10.020 If I wanted to be popular, I would have been a movie star.

00:42:12.800 Sometimes it's more important to be successful than to be popular.

00:42:16.760 From Brian, it's clear at this point that we are two nations.

00:42:19.600 At what point do we split?

00:42:20.860 Is it peaceful?

00:42:21.520 Do we try to preserve the union?

00:42:22.740 Wouldn't splitting be better for us?

00:42:24.100 We could live the way we want to without having to deal with the left.

00:42:27.520 No, we should not split.

00:42:29.020 No, splitting is not better.

00:42:30.900 You can tell I'm Catholic in this answer because I don't think divorce is acceptable.

00:42:36.720 Divorce is never acceptable.

00:42:38.240 Now, sometimes when there is a threat of, say, bodily harm or something like that, a separation

00:42:44.580 is important.

00:42:46.720 You need to stay apart might even be required.

00:42:51.540 But a divorce, no.

00:42:53.700 So I think, yes, there are some ways that we should lay off each other here in the United

00:42:57.800 States.

00:42:58.260 I think there are some ways that there might be, should be a little bit more separation

00:43:01.020 perhaps.

00:43:01.760 You're actually seeing this happen, which is conservatives are going to red states and leftists

00:43:06.620 are going to bluer states.

00:43:08.760 But a divorce, no.

00:43:09.920 First of all, it's completely unworkable, right?

00:43:12.560 How is it?

00:43:13.060 What's going to happen?

00:43:13.600 The coasts are going to break off and then the middle of the country is going to stay

00:43:15.920 so we're not going to have any seaports or anything?

00:43:18.560 Nah, we're not going to let that happen.

00:43:20.440 What?

00:43:20.820 Certain cities are going to, but what about the people in those cities?

00:43:22.780 It's not going to work.

00:43:24.680 National divorces, like familial divorces, are evil, evil things.

00:43:30.820 And bad things happen when that occurs.

00:43:34.540 So I wouldn't support that, just like I wouldn't support throwing my hands up in a marriage. 0.83

00:43:39.360 Don't do it.

00:43:40.420 Do not do it.

00:43:41.160 Sometimes it happens because, again, fallen world, right?

00:43:43.400 So I'm not saying that that won't happen, but I certainly wouldn't cheer it on.

00:43:48.120 From Arun, dear Dr. Koffefe, most professional of Daily Wire podcasters.

00:43:53.680 My employer is hosting a live virtual session on anti-racism with none other than Dr. Ibram

00:43:58.220 Kendi.

00:43:59.420 Ugh.

00:44:00.420 This session is optional, and as someone who is morally opposed to racism, I'm considering,

00:44:04.600 by the way, I'm just going to pause there.

00:44:05.660 Everybody's opposed to racism.

00:44:06.940 Racism, right?

00:44:07.660 Racism, what does that mean?

00:44:08.980 To judge unjustly on the basis of race, which is an offense to human dignity, right?

00:44:17.040 And human solidarity because all men are made in the image of God.

00:44:21.100 So yes, everybody opposes that.

00:44:22.480 It's like, I don't even want to say that anymore, that I'm opposed to it, because it gives them

00:44:25.740 the premise that there are all these people who are super-duper racist.

00:44:29.540 I guess the left is, but the right, not so.

00:44:32.360 Very few people.

00:44:33.360 Very few people.

00:44:34.220 I'm considering not attending this session since I wouldn't want anyone to misconstrue my

00:44:38.240 presence for assent to Dr. Kendi's racist philosophy.

00:44:41.800 On the other hand, I do want to be informed about what my coworkers are being taught by this

00:44:45.240 man, and since no one is compelling me to attend, I'm somewhat more willing to give the

00:44:48.640 other side a fair hearing.

00:44:49.780 Should I go to this thing, or should I spend the hour doing what my employer actually pays me

00:44:52.960 to do?

00:44:53.540 It will be a waste of your time in the sense that that man, Dr. Kendi, has nothing but 0.96

00:44:58.380 poison to spew, and he's just a complete huckster. 0.92

00:45:01.200 He's a pseudo-academic, a pseudo-scholar. 0.99

00:45:04.960 He's a con artist who is milking companies such as yours for money by selling racial grievance 0.98

00:45:11.800 based on lies.

00:45:14.300 But I probably would still go, especially if it weren't compulsory, because I want the information

00:45:18.540 and I want to know how to refute it.

00:45:19.780 So yeah, I would say maybe go.

00:45:21.120 See if you can bear it.

00:45:22.960 Speaking of Barrett, last question from Julia.

00:45:24.920 Hey, Michael, love this show.

00:45:25.940 Are you at all concerned that Justice Barrett will turn out to be a more moderate judge

00:45:30.180 and fall short of a lot of conservatives' expectations?

00:45:32.440 Or do you think she'll be like Scalia and Thomas?

00:45:34.340 Thanks.

00:45:34.760 No way to predict the future, and she hasn't been on the bench that long, so I don't know.

00:45:37.760 But here's what I do know.

00:45:39.440 The markers are good.

00:45:40.580 She's at least written extensively about her views, and her views seem pretty solid.

00:45:46.260 She clerked for Scalia.

00:45:47.620 That's a good sign.

00:45:48.440 Apparently, Scalia really liked her.

00:45:49.960 That's a good sign.

00:45:50.740 She's super-duper Catholic, so she is living her faith, a conservative faith, right, just 0.99

00:45:56.680 by definition.

00:45:57.780 That's a good thing.

00:45:58.960 Like all of that, she seems judicious.

00:46:02.600 That's a good thing.

00:46:03.660 And what's the alternative?

00:46:06.960 We're not living in a world where I just get to pick any justice I want.

00:46:09.640 There's one justice up.

00:46:10.640 One justice could possibly be confirmed here.

00:46:13.100 That's Judge Barrett.

00:46:16.000 The alternative is let the Dems have the court or leave it open, which will exacerbate the

00:46:22.780 constitutional crisis that I suspect we're already in.

00:46:24.700 So I'm all in for Barrett.

00:46:27.320 I don't know.

00:46:28.180 I'm totally saying right now we can't know the future, but there's no other option.

00:46:34.300 Three cheers for ACB.

00:46:35.400 All right, that's our show.

00:46:36.580 I will see you on Monday.

00:46:38.320 I'm Michael Knowles.
