Transcript

00:00:00.000 Some good news out of Washington. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republicans, and the last two moderate
00:00:05.600 Democrats on earth blocked the Democrats' attempted federal takeover of elections.
00:00:11.020 The biggest power grab attempt that I have ever seen in my lifetime in this country
00:00:15.920 would have likely given Democrats permanent majorities.
00:00:19.800 Later today, the Senate will vote on whether to advance Democrats' transparently partisan plan
00:00:25.680 to tilt every election in America permanently in their favor.
00:00:30.000 By now, the rotten inner workings of this power grab have been thoroughly exposed to the light.
00:00:35.860 It's a recipe for undermining confidence in our elections, for remaking our entire system of government
00:00:41.660 to suit the preferences at one far end of the political spectrum.
00:00:46.500 And if they could, many Democrats would pass it with the slimmest possible majority,
00:00:52.620 even after its companion faced bipartisan opposition over in the House.
00:00:57.540 What a craven political calculation.
00:01:02.100 What a way to show your disdain for the American people's choices.
00:01:06.080 The Senate is no obstacle to voting laws done the right way.
00:01:09.840 The Senate is only an obstacle when the policy is flawed and the process is rotten.
00:01:17.120 Today, the Senate is going to fulfill our founding purpose,
00:01:20.300 stop the partisan power grab and reject S-1.
00:01:24.140 And with that, Mr. Cocaine Mitch shut down the debate and the law died, at least for now.
00:01:31.580 Democrats are complaining, in particular, that Republicans avoided debate on the bill.
00:01:37.240 But sometimes it's good to avoid debate, as my friend Stephen Crowder showed yesterday
00:01:43.100 when some lib ambushed him, as the U.S. Olympic team is learning right now,
00:01:47.560 now that one of its athletes is promising to burn the American flag,
00:01:50.580 and now that critical race theory has infected even the U.S. military.
00:01:56.060 Maybe we have entertained a little too much debate from bad faith radicals.
00:02:00.620 I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:09.360 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:10.400 My favorite comment yesterday from Fern Diaz 7, who says,
00:02:14.360 If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for or against abortion,
00:02:18.940 then you ain't Catholic.
00:02:20.980 That is very true.
00:02:23.640 That is very true.
00:02:24.400 An important line that Joe Biden could learn from himself,
00:02:27.400 but somehow the Democrats just don't want to acknowledge it.
00:02:30.780 It's very strange, but you know, the body is a temple, and the temple needs incense.
00:02:34.260 And when you want to fill that body with incense, I would recommend checking out Thompson Cigars.
00:02:38.960 Thompson Cigars.
00:02:40.260 I have been a customer of Thompson now for about 15 years, maybe more.
00:02:45.680 I love them.
00:02:46.640 They are the best in the business.
00:02:48.520 I still have actually my first box of cigars I was ever given from Thompson
00:02:52.060 that my mother gave me when I was 16.
00:02:53.980 The selection cannot be beat.
00:02:55.740 The prices truly cannot be beat.
00:02:57.460 And they have got the Knowles Cigar Sampler Pack,
00:02:59.740 which I have ordered multiple of.
00:03:01.940 I wish I got freebies, but I order them because the price is so ridiculous.
00:03:05.700 The pack includes a Man of War Armada Toro Grande, the Davidoff Nicaragua Robusto,
00:03:11.100 Nat Sherman Timeless Nicaragua, a great New York cigar.
00:03:13.640 I love it.
00:03:14.260 Live Story by E.P. Carrillo Robusto,
00:03:16.020 and my sentimental favorite, the Oliva Series O Perfecto.
00:03:19.360 This pack is like less than $40.
00:03:22.820 You should buy as many as you can possibly afford.
00:03:24.980 It's just the deal is insane.
00:03:26.680 You can tell I'm quite passionate about this.
00:03:28.160 Right now, Thompson's offering our listeners 15% off orders over 75 bucks
00:03:32.680 or 20% off orders over 99 bucks.
00:03:35.760 So by my calculation, you should get three sampler packs
00:03:38.220 if you use promo code Knowles when you're ready to check out.
00:03:42.120 If you want to check out my sampler, you got to go to ThompsonCigar.com slash Knowles.
00:03:46.600 That's the only way to get my sampler is if you head to T-H-O-M-P-S-O-N
00:03:50.440 Cigar.com slash Knowles.
00:03:53.460 Happy smoking.
00:03:54.620 Cocaine Mitch shut it down.
00:03:55.860 What would this bill have done?
00:03:57.040 Had Democrats gotten this through, S-1 and H-R-1,
00:04:01.740 colloquially known as the Corrupt Politicians Act,
00:04:04.980 Democrats called it the For the People Act,
00:04:06.780 but we all know what it really is.
00:04:08.200 The bill would have federalized congressional elections,
00:04:12.620 would have declared that standard state and local election systems,
00:04:18.380 you know, ways to keep the voter rolls purged of ineligible voters,
00:04:21.820 limiting voting by mail, requiring voter ID, all that sort of stuff,
00:04:24.820 that would be gone, couldn't really do that, required all challenges to the law to be filed
00:04:31.280 in federal courts in Washington, D.C. So you wouldn't be able to get to fight it really at
00:04:34.680 the state level. It would have established online and automatic voter registration for the millions
00:04:40.600 and millions of illegal aliens. They knew, they knew that illegal aliens would have been registered
00:04:45.800 to vote. They denied that fact, but then the next provision of the law would have protected illegal aliens
00:04:52.260 from prosecution if they did vote. So they wouldn't have included that provision had they actually believed
00:04:57.040 that the law would not be registering illegal aliens to vote, would have established same-day voter registration,
00:05:01.660 would have registered minors to vote. That's what we need.
00:05:03.820 We need to lower the voting age in this country, right? Would have mandated early voting,
00:05:08.280 which is a terrible idea, and it would have established nationwide vote-by-mail without voter ID.
00:05:15.040 Also would have allowed ballots to be counted 10 days after the election day. Remember what happened in 2020?
00:05:20.880 You remember that things were looking like they were going one way in the election?
00:05:24.680 Then everyone just kind of stopped counting. Everyone took a little pause.
00:05:27.940 And then all of a sudden, the ballot count started to go the other way. It's pretty strange.
00:05:33.160 Probably shouldn't be able to do that sort of thing. So this is good stuff.
00:05:36.100 We so rarely report on good stuff coming out of Washington, especially out of the Republican establishment,
00:05:41.940 but stopping this power grab actually was a very important thing.
00:05:45.380 And I mention it not just for the good news about the policy,
00:05:48.580 but I mention it because of what it tells us about debate.
00:05:52.000 But the Democrats, who, as far as I can tell, are not all that in favor of free speech these days,
00:05:58.980 they're not very in favor of hearing out the other side and dealing with serious arguments and going back and forth,
00:06:04.660 they're complaining that we did not have a debate over S1.
00:06:11.260 Sometimes it's good not to have debate.
00:06:13.620 When your opponents are not playing fair, when your opponents are not playing in good faith,
00:06:18.860 then very often it's wise to avoid debate.
00:06:22.360 My friend Stephen Crowder learned this yesterday.
00:06:25.180 I don't know either of the non-Stephen Crowder involved in this incident.
00:06:32.800 There was Stephen Crowder and then some lib that he was going to debate,
00:06:36.460 and then some other lib jumped in and he was secretly going to debate him instead or something.
00:06:40.800 It was all this kind of inner YouTube drama that I really don't know anything about.
00:06:45.960 But it actually highlights the very same principle that we're talking here that was going on in Washington, D.C.
00:06:51.820 So just to give you some context, Crowder agrees to debate this one guy.
00:06:56.960 He actually jokes.
00:06:57.840 He says, I bet this guy doesn't want to debate me.
00:06:59.640 And then at the very last minute, it was a bait and switch, and he swapped him out for some other lib.
00:07:03.260 Take a listen.
00:07:04.480 Hi, Stephen.
00:07:05.280 Hey, Ethan. How you doing, brother?
00:07:07.080 Hey, I just want to say on a serious note that I'm glad your wife is okay.
00:07:11.720 I heard you had a little bit of an issue with your wife.
00:07:14.880 Well, she's pregnant with twins, so it's like – well, by the way, congratulations, too.
00:07:19.600 I know you guys are in the same process.
00:07:21.880 All right, man.
00:07:22.220 Well, I appreciate you coming on and doing this and, you know, doing this.
00:07:25.780 A lot of people don't, so just talking, you know, avoiding kind of the social media pissing contest drama.
00:07:30.320 All right.
00:07:30.660 Okay.
00:07:30.880 I'm really glad to have my next guest on the show.
00:07:33.100 And I've always said this.
00:07:33.660 I always respect people who enter into the arena.
00:07:38.320 Ethan, thanks, man, for making the time.
00:07:40.880 You're very welcome.
00:07:41.600 And I just want to say, I know you called me – you said that I would be a layup.
00:07:45.620 I think I used something like that.
00:07:47.320 Yeah, yeah.
00:07:47.760 Which is fine.
00:07:47.780 I think you're right because I don't think I'm a very good debater.
00:07:50.460 I think you know that.
00:07:52.600 So I didn't want to make it too easy for you.
00:07:55.420 Oh, okay.
00:07:56.880 So I've prepared.
00:07:58.520 Okay.
00:07:58.840 Stephen, do you know that the Spartans are – that they are, like, practice man love with children?
00:08:07.980 Oh, jeez.
00:08:08.620 Okay.
00:08:08.820 So this is what's going to happen.
00:08:09.880 What did I tell you?
00:08:10.720 He was going to do anything he could to avoid – oh, oh, there he is.
00:08:14.120 Oh, no.
00:08:14.920 Sam Seder.
00:08:15.740 What a – whoa, what a f***ing nightmare.
00:08:18.300 I had no idea this was going to happen.
00:08:20.720 I have a general rule.
00:08:21.500 This is a great opportunity.
00:08:22.080 I don't start a debate based with people on a lie.
00:08:24.600 And how about you get to a –
00:08:25.360 Who are sabotaging.
00:08:25.980 How about you get to a 30th of the audience share.
00:08:28.200 Stephen, show yourself, you coward.
00:08:28.980 Stephen, show yourself.
00:08:29.820 Okay.
00:08:30.300 I think we can pause the debate there.
00:08:31.740 I think we've gotten all of the important content that we can get out of this.
00:08:37.460 Crowder agrees to debate this one guy that I've never heard of.
00:08:41.780 But then, at the last second, some other guy that I'm not familiar with, who – actually,
00:08:47.320 one of the reasons this was called to my attention is because people were saying that this
00:08:50.380 other guy, Sam Seder, looks like the Kroger store version of me.
00:08:55.460 He's got – I don't know.
00:08:56.200 He's got similar skin and kind of glasses or whatever.
00:08:58.700 So, then he jumps in at the last minute, and then they just start insulting one another.
00:09:03.520 And Crowder says, okay, I'm not doing this.
00:09:05.360 This is not what I signed up for.
00:09:08.320 Crowder was right not to debate these guys.
00:09:13.020 Frankly, the only mistake that Crowder made was agreeing to debate this jerk in the first
00:09:18.040 place.
00:09:18.360 These guys – again, I don't want to speak out of turn because I really don't know who
00:09:23.520 these people are other than Stephen Crowder, but they don't seem like very serious people.
00:09:28.980 It doesn't seem like anything productive would come out of just talking to either of these
00:09:32.800 guys.
00:09:33.360 So, don't do it.
00:09:34.480 Here's a very important political lesson for you.
00:09:37.420 Never wrestle a pig.
00:09:40.180 You will both get dirty, but the pig will like it.
00:09:43.520 This is what I'm – I love debating people on the left.
00:09:47.160 I like debating people on the right.
00:09:48.900 I especially love debating squishes in the center because I want to pry them over to
00:09:52.920 my side.
00:09:54.720 But you have to have a purpose to the debate.
00:09:59.460 Okay?
00:09:59.940 We, I think, on the right have really gotten high on this idea of the free marketplace of
00:10:05.240 ideas, and you challenge bad ideas with good ideas.
00:10:08.580 Yes, that's all well and good, but you need to make sure you're actually engaging with
00:10:14.440 ideas.
00:10:14.900 You need to make sure that you and the other – the debate opponent agree on the purpose
00:10:20.140 of the debate.
00:10:21.360 If the purpose of the debate is to hash out some issue to prove your side or to persuade
00:10:25.940 one another, that's all well and good.
00:10:27.700 If the purpose of the debate is to just score some cheap point and try to humiliate somebody
00:10:33.120 or try to insult or make jokes about somebody without any real substance there, there's
00:10:37.940 no point to that.
00:10:39.020 There is nothing dignified or wonderful about engaging in the free marketplace of ideas to
00:10:45.740 get in the mud with pigs.
00:10:47.860 I don't know why anybody would do that sort of thing.
00:10:51.280 You need to at least agree on the basic premises before you get into it.
00:10:55.720 We're actually seeing this play out, not just on the internet, but also on the U.S. Olympic
00:11:01.660 team.
00:11:03.140 You know, these people who are on the Olympic team, they can do for themselves generally,
00:11:07.120 right?
00:11:07.260 These are very talented people.
00:11:08.760 If you want to be able to do for yourself, by the way, I would recommend checking out
00:11:11.180 rockauto.com.
00:11:12.880 We're all very, very busy these days, okay?
00:11:15.380 And so when you need a part for your car or truck, when you need something fixed up on
00:11:19.140 there, what are you going to do?
00:11:19.920 Are you going to go to the brick and mortar auto parts store?
00:11:22.080 Are you going to drive?
00:11:22.920 Are you going to get there?
00:11:24.040 Are you going to walk in?
00:11:24.960 You're going to get peppered with a thousand questions, many of which you won't know the
00:11:27.800 answer to.
00:11:28.640 Then the guy who asked you the questions is going to go in the back and what's going to
00:11:32.340 happen?
00:11:32.660 That's probably an empty room.
00:11:33.740 They don't, they're not going to have the part.
00:11:34.980 They're going to go online, probably to rockauto.com.
00:11:37.900 They're going to order the part.
00:11:38.620 They're going to charge you twice as much.
00:11:40.700 So then you get to pay extra money to have wasted hours of your life.
00:11:44.240 Don't do that.
00:11:44.940 Don't do that.
00:11:46.160 Go to rockauto.com.
00:11:47.500 They've always got the lowest prices possible.
00:11:49.640 They don't change their prices based on all these sorts of gimmicks, you know, but order it Tuesday
00:11:53.040 morning or Wednesday afternoon.
00:11:54.440 No, family business, same price for pros and do-it-yourselfers.
00:11:58.560 The website is so simple to navigate.
00:12:00.380 Even I can do it.
00:12:01.200 Head on over to rockauto.com right now to check out every part available for your car or truck.
00:12:06.800 Then write Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S in there.
00:12:09.120 How did you hear about us box?
00:12:10.120 So they know that we sent you.
00:12:12.260 A U.S. Olympian, a transgender athlete who was chosen as an alternate to represent the
00:12:19.540 U.S. at the Summer Olympics, is a BMX freestyle rider.
00:12:24.940 Apparently there's a bicycle sport in the Olympics.
00:12:27.780 And his name is Chelsea Wolfe.
00:12:31.200 I guess he's a guy who now pretends to be a woman.
00:12:33.720 And he says that, quote, my goal is to win the Olympics so I can burn a U.S. flag on the
00:12:42.600 podium.
00:12:43.900 There are many problems with this fella joining the U.S. Olympic team, not the least of which
00:12:50.520 is he would be competing as a woman, but he's not a woman, he's a man.
00:12:54.180 But actually, even more important than that, this guy wants to represent the United States
00:13:01.220 at the Olympics, but he hates the United States.
00:13:04.540 He wants to represent the United States so that he can humiliate the United States, so
00:13:09.660 he can burn the symbol of the whole country.
00:13:13.860 He should not be permitted on the team because he's a dude, but there are many reasons he should
00:13:19.260 not be here, but he should not be permitted on the team, more importantly even, because
00:13:25.080 he's not on the team.
00:13:27.540 He's not on the bigger team, which is the American team.
00:13:31.920 You should, this is a good example of cancel culture.
00:13:35.460 He posted this comment to Facebook when he said he wants to burn the American flag on the
00:13:39.560 podium.
00:13:40.940 We should cancel him for that.
00:13:42.760 That's a good use of cancel culture.
00:13:45.860 I always go back to that Chesterton line.
00:13:48.100 There is a thought that stops thought, and that's the only thought that ought to be stopped.
00:13:53.260 There is an American Olympian that stops the American Olympians, that undermines our presence
00:14:00.400 there.
00:14:01.200 That sort of thing ought to be stopped.
00:14:04.700 The Olympic podium is not a free marketplace of ideas.
00:14:08.760 When you're out there represents, this actually, the same thing could be said of all of our sports.
00:14:13.280 This is one of the aspects that was so offensive about the Colin Kaepernick thing.
00:14:18.100 Games, sports, always have a patriotic quality.
00:14:22.120 When you abuse those sorts of things to attack your own country, that is ugly, it's counterproductive,
00:14:28.780 and you shouldn't be permitted to do it.
00:14:30.480 Kaepernick shouldn't have been permitted to do it on the football field, and especially
00:14:33.680 this fella should not be permitted to do it at the Olympics.
00:14:37.760 But there are different flags now that people believe represent them.
00:14:44.080 This guy on the Olympic alternate team does not believe that the American flag represents
00:14:50.400 him.
00:14:50.860 I think that might be true of a great many liberals.
00:14:54.340 I don't think they, a lot of them will kneel, not in veneration, but in protest of the American
00:14:59.080 flag.
00:14:59.620 A lot of them seem to prefer the rainbow flag or the BLM flag.
00:15:02.300 There's a new flag, which is, it's like the rainbow flag on steroids.
00:15:07.460 It's like if you took the rainbow flag and mashed it up with the BLM flag and also, and
00:15:11.800 probably the hammer and sickle too, it's called the progress pride flag.
00:15:16.800 And the progress flag, it's like the rainbow flag with like some weird other rainbow angles
00:15:21.520 coming in.
00:15:22.140 And there's like a transgender thing and there's like a black thing.
00:15:24.380 And it's very, very confusing.
00:15:26.520 The state department is now going to fly that flag.
00:15:31.960 I'm not joking.
00:15:33.240 The secretary of state, Anthony Blinken made the announcement at an Atlantic council event,
00:15:37.780 talk about the liberal establishment.
00:15:39.260 This is one of these shadowy organizations that just sort of pushes the broad internationalist
00:15:45.220 liberal establishment consensus.
00:15:47.640 Blinken says, I think this is going to be a significant couple of days and we will see the
00:15:51.380 progress flag flying at the state department.
00:15:53.780 It's a quote symbol that encompasses the diversity and intersectionality of LGBTQI persons and communities
00:16:03.180 around the world and, and has been, been approved to fly this month all over the place.
00:16:10.500 Very distressing, very sad for our country, but this is not surprising.
00:16:15.920 I was not surprised when I saw this at all.
00:16:20.380 The American flag is the symbol of the American country.
00:16:23.780 The pride flag is the symbol of the liberal empire, right?
00:16:29.720 The American flag represents a specific country with borders in a specific place.
00:16:33.240 The pride flag makes universal claims about every country on earth, makes universal claims
00:16:40.280 about human nature, who we are, our sexual desires, what people should be permitted to do
00:16:45.700 in countries around the world.
00:16:46.880 So it is no surprise to me that the state department, which has always been liberal and is basically the
00:16:54.920 institutional defender of the American liberal empire, would gravitate toward that flag.
00:17:01.140 That is the flag that more accurately represents what that institution wants to do and what many liberals
00:17:07.840 who support that institution want to do.
00:17:09.580 It's very sad, but, but when Trump comes out, came out, when Trump came out and said that the battle in
00:17:16.880 the election would be one between nationalism and globalism, he might as well have said that it's a
00:17:22.600 battle between these two flags.
00:17:23.960 Do we want the American way of life, the traditional American understanding of our country and who we are,
00:17:29.260 or do we want this radical new universalist thing that's been bubbling up at least since Woodrow
00:17:34.200 Wilson and has been gaining steam more and more and more?
00:17:38.440 That's, that's a real battle and radicals have infiltrated our institutions up to and including
00:17:44.700 the state department to push us toward that latter direction, which you can read a lot about in my
00:17:50.300 new book, Speechless Controlling Words, Controlling Minds, available now for order.
00:17:55.400 It's hard to get used to saying that.
00:17:57.760 I would say my upcoming pre-order, but no, it's out now.
00:18:01.220 It was released yesterday.
00:18:02.560 Thank you to everybody who, who ordered it.
00:18:05.560 This book is doing very well on the sales charts.
00:18:09.020 I really want to stick a finger in the eye of the New York Times and make them put me on the list.
00:18:13.200 But really, I appreciate everyone who's written, people have written in and said, you know,
00:18:17.320 they've read several chapters already.
00:18:18.580 So that's very kind.
00:18:19.420 I appreciate that.
00:18:20.000 The first time I write a book with words, I'm glad to know people, people are reading them
00:18:23.560 because we are seeing this play out right now.
00:18:25.560 It's in all of the institutions.
00:18:27.160 No institution is safe from this.
00:18:29.620 The one institution that we used to believe in this country was safe from this kind of woke craziness.
00:18:35.860 Obviously, it's not Hollywood.
00:18:36.860 It's not the media.
00:18:37.540 It's not the bureaucracy.
00:18:38.580 It's not big tech.
00:18:40.400 We used to think the military was safe, but it no longer is.
00:18:44.260 The chief of naval operations, the CNO, was just asked by Senator Tom Cotton, a military
00:18:52.340 veteran himself, whether he would disavow the statement that is in part of the Navy's reading
00:19:01.120 list now, that capitalism is racist.
00:19:04.960 The Navy has this reading list that they put out and they're recommending that, that service
00:19:10.540 and that sailors read these insane leftist critical race theory books.
00:19:17.240 And Cotton said, hold on, CNO, do you really believe that this is the sort of thing that's
00:19:21.840 going to get our, our servicemen in fighting form?
00:19:25.000 And the CNO refuses to disavow.
00:19:28.600 You're saying as the senior leader of the Navy that you want 18 year old sailors and 22 year
00:19:32.920 old ensigns to read a book that asserts that capitalism is essentially racist.
00:19:37.860 Do you agree that capitalism is essentially racist?
00:19:40.540 Sir, I'm, with all due respect, I'm not going to engage without understanding the context
00:19:45.080 of, of statements like that.
00:19:46.720 In talking to sailors over the past year, it's clearly obvious to me and others that the
00:19:52.520 murder of George Floyd and the events surrounding that, the discussions in this country about
00:19:57.040 racism, which go back for years and years and years, are still a painful part, part of
00:20:04.060 our culture and that talking about them, understanding them is the best approach.
00:20:10.020 And that, and that offering books like Kendi's for people to read, and they don't have to agree
00:20:15.360 with every assertion that Kendi makes.
00:20:17.740 I don't, I don't accept every assertion that Kendi makes.
00:20:21.200 And I wouldn't think that, that all sailors would as well, but they need to be exposed to
00:20:25.860 it so that they're making facts based.
00:20:28.020 We need, we need critical thinkers in the Navy.
00:20:31.680 Somebody put a pink hat on his head.
00:20:33.780 Somebody paint his fingernails rainbow.
00:20:36.180 What, this is so pathetic.
00:20:38.240 Maybe all those colors that he's wearing on his, on his chest, you know, I, I thought that
00:20:42.280 had military significance.
00:20:43.620 It might be the progress pride flag.
00:20:45.660 This is so pathetic to see this coming out of our U.S. military, for goodness sakes, defending
00:20:51.140 CRT, defining, defending radical racialist theories.
00:20:56.360 Good grief, man.
00:20:57.740 How pathetic.
00:20:59.320 We got to clear some house with the top brass over there at the Pentagon.
00:21:04.340 The, let's just take his argument for what it is.
00:21:08.360 It's completely preposterous.
00:21:11.300 He's saying, and you hear this a lot, he's making the same argument that everyone makes
00:21:14.760 with the free marketplace of ideas.
00:21:16.320 Well, we might not agree with Ibram Kendi's book, but our sailors and our ensigns, they
00:21:20.980 need to be exposed to all of these ideas.
00:21:24.120 And then he starts bringing up George Floyd, which is an entire other matter, but it shows
00:21:28.540 that this guy's obviously accepting radical leftist premises, but it's just BS.
00:21:33.360 This guy doesn't believe this.
00:21:34.380 This guy doesn't believe that the ensigns and the sailors need to be opened up to every
00:21:39.460 single idea.
00:21:40.640 Is the guy going to put Mein Kampf on the reading list?
00:21:43.000 I don't think so.
00:21:43.820 Is the guy going to put, is the guy going to put speechless on the reading list for that
00:21:47.780 matter?
00:21:48.320 Probably according to this insane chief of naval operations, probably those are equally
00:21:52.880 evil, terrible, bigoted books.
00:21:55.260 No, of course not.
00:21:56.360 The reading list is only so long.
00:21:58.000 The sailors are only going to be exposed to so many ideas.
00:22:01.540 I mean, the military literally brainwashes you.
00:22:04.080 That is one of the points of military training.
00:22:06.420 It is not a student cafe where we can just debate all sorts of ideas.
00:22:10.740 And what this CNO has decided is that radical leftist ideology, critical race theory, Ibram
00:22:17.500 Kendi, all that excruple trash is worth being put into our sailors' minds.
00:22:23.880 It's worth poisoning our sailors' minds.
00:22:26.540 It's just outrageous.
00:22:28.460 This stuff needs to be banned.
00:22:30.440 We should not be permitting this sort of thing to infect our military.
00:22:35.100 They should be reading good books, like Speechless.
00:22:39.100 Thank you so much to everyone who's pre-order.
00:22:40.600 It's now available everywhere at your local bookstore at Amazon, Barnes & Noble.
00:22:45.940 You may still be able to get a copy of Premier Collectibles.
00:22:48.620 I'm actually not sure about that.
00:22:50.220 That may have ended with a pre-order.
00:22:51.720 I know they sold out there.
00:22:52.620 They might be getting some more in.
00:22:53.580 So anyway, you can check that out if you want to get an autographed first edition.
00:22:55.760 Thank you to everyone who has bought it.
00:22:57.680 Sincerely, I really, really appreciate it.
00:23:00.420 I hope you enjoy the book.
00:23:01.260 Let me know what you think about it.
00:23:02.160 It's no secret that the left has gone too far left.
00:23:06.280 That is why it is time for some voices of reason, such as the people in this studio,
00:23:11.500 to discuss how we can save America from its radical fate.
00:23:15.080 Join me, Jeremy Boring, Ben Shapiro, and Andrew Klavan,
00:23:18.160 for another cigar-packed session of Backstage.
00:23:20.860 Streams tomorrow, June 24th at 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central, at dailywire.com,
00:23:25.480 and on our YouTube channel, Daily Wire.
00:23:27.860 It's easy to remember because it's just the name of the company.
00:23:30.080 Head on over there.
00:23:30.740 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:23:32.160 The Chief of Naval Operations says that sailors need to read trash like Ibram Kendi's stupid book
00:23:50.060 because we need critical thinkers in the military.
00:23:54.200 I think what he really means is we need critical theorists in the military.
00:23:57.540 I think he means that we need these radical ideologues.
00:24:02.300 And do you know how we're hovering right above the target, to use a military analogy?
00:24:07.660 Do you know how I know that the right is right to go after critical race theory
00:24:12.480 and its associated academic movements?
00:24:15.620 Because the left is retreating.
00:24:17.480 They're running away.
00:24:18.100 You'll notice that their new argument is critical race theory doesn't exist.
00:24:27.020 They'll say, what is critical race theory?
00:24:28.860 It's a retreat to nominalism, as my friend Matt Peterson at Claremont pointed out.
00:24:34.600 Nominalism, this idea that, you know, the only general category is, they're just names.
00:24:39.420 They don't really refer to any real things.
00:24:42.480 Critical race theory, what do you mean by that?
00:24:45.020 You know, come on.
00:24:45.820 No, I mean a body of work.
00:24:47.120 I think I have a book right here.
00:24:48.120 Here it is.
00:24:48.980 I mean this body of work called critical race theory by writers such as Kimberly Crenshaw,
00:24:55.680 Neil Gontonda, Gary Peller, Kendall Thomas, and a number of other people
00:24:59.980 who have developed this academic movement out of critical theory more broadly
00:25:03.740 that is attempting to subvert our entire national self-understanding,
00:25:09.020 our personal self-understanding for that matter.
00:25:11.240 That's a problem.
00:25:12.480 So, we should not be doing that.
00:25:15.660 The left will now say, there's no such thing as critical race theory.
00:25:20.440 That's out of one side of their mouth, and then out of the other side of their mouth,
00:25:22.780 they'll say, and also critical race theory is great.
00:25:25.720 They're doing this with Juneteenth.
00:25:27.420 I knew it, by the way.
00:25:28.600 I hate, you know, I hate to say I told you so.
00:25:30.620 They push for Juneteenth.
00:25:32.220 The squishes just roll over on Juneteenth.
00:25:34.680 And then what happens?
00:25:35.560 They say, well, we have the Juneteenth holiday, but, you know,
00:25:39.140 Juneteenth doesn't mean anything because you're not even allowed to teach people about their race.
00:25:43.660 You're not even, the Republicans don't even want us to teach people about slavery
00:25:46.700 because they're kicking critical race theory out of the classroom.
00:25:51.560 You're telling me, you're telling me.
00:25:55.020 Without critical race theory, people would not be taught that slavery exists?
00:25:59.360 I think they would.
00:26:01.100 Pretty sure we've taught that before.
00:26:02.500 Critical race theory is something quite different and quite radical.
00:26:08.840 This is real.
00:26:10.360 This is infecting not just the universities, not just the high schools,
00:26:14.560 but corporate boardrooms, even the U.S. military.
00:26:17.560 And it's leading to some really kooky suggestions.
00:26:20.680 The Washington Post just came out and said that in order to grapple with racism
00:26:27.700 and in order to cast a truly critical lens,
00:26:32.300 white people need to form and engage in white accountability groups.
00:26:38.800 Racism, racialization, white body supremacy is not episodic.
00:26:43.120 It's structural.
00:26:44.220 Remember that there were thousands of George Floyd before the one that you saw.
00:26:49.860 Your bodily response to this horror, right,
00:26:55.100 is not the same thing as you dealing with the structural aspects of this.
00:27:00.760 George Floyd's death became a deeply personal and racial tragedy for many Americans.
00:27:06.160 For the first time, white people were becoming aware of their whiteness
00:27:09.700 and the systemic ways that white supremacy affects all of us.
00:27:12.960 White people in particular get aroused, get upset, say,
00:27:17.300 this is unjust, this isn't right, this shouldn't happen.
00:27:20.180 There's like an awakening that happens.
00:27:23.040 And so part of their racial identity development is seeing that awakening.
00:27:28.140 White accountability groups are really helpful in terms of having a place to process,
00:27:32.900 having a group of people whose responsibility it is to call me on things or to challenge me.
00:27:39.840 Okay, there are two things going on here.
00:27:42.240 Obviously, these women are absolutely daft,
00:27:45.040 but the points they're raising speak to true things.
00:27:49.600 The first one, probably the most interesting aspect,
00:27:54.040 is that these radical leftists are calling for a white racial consciousness.
00:27:59.900 You know, white people do not have much racial consciousness.
00:28:03.860 The Pew Research Center showed this just a few years ago.
00:28:08.180 They measured racial consciousness.
00:28:10.100 They asked people,
00:28:10.660 Is your race somewhat or very important to your identity?
00:28:15.080 For every racial group other than white people,
00:28:19.460 more than 50% of the respondents said,
00:28:22.600 Yes, race is somewhat or very important to my identity.
00:28:26.020 This was true among Asians.
00:28:27.160 It was true among Hispanics.
00:28:28.300 It was especially true among black people.
00:28:30.440 Black people's racial consciousness is higher than 70%.
00:28:33.380 For white people, it's 15%.
00:28:35.980 It's very, very low.
00:28:37.980 Contrary to what you've heard about white supremacy and all the other nonsense,
00:28:42.160 white people do not have a racial consciousness.
00:28:45.540 There have been white identitarians.
00:28:48.360 There have been people who have called for a white racial politics
00:28:52.180 who have said whites need to get their racial consciousness up.
00:28:56.580 And some people who say that today
00:28:57.920 for the purpose of creating racial solidarity
00:29:01.800 in the way that other racial groups do it.
00:29:03.660 But these leftist radicals do not advocate racial consciousness among whites
00:29:09.160 for the purpose of giving them solidarity, obviously.
00:29:11.860 It's for the purpose of instilling shame in them.
00:29:15.560 So it's this unique case.
00:29:17.860 And this has been going on for many decades now,
00:29:20.020 especially since the 1970s.
00:29:21.840 There's been a real effort on the left
00:29:24.280 to cultivate racial consciousness
00:29:26.280 among Hispanics, among Asians.
00:29:28.820 These are, by the way, two racial categories
00:29:31.760 that were basically invented in the 1970s.
00:29:34.200 Before that, you would talk about Mexicans
00:29:36.400 or Guatemalans or Chinese or Japanese,
00:29:38.820 but you wouldn't talk about Asian.
00:29:40.280 That's so many people.
00:29:41.580 Hispanic.
00:29:42.220 It's like a quarter of the earth.
00:29:43.440 I don't know.
00:29:43.620 It's so many people.
00:29:45.320 But it was felt on the left
00:29:48.480 that in order to mirror the political achievements
00:29:51.620 of the black civil rights movement,
00:29:53.820 they would have to create these groups.
00:29:55.120 So, for all the other racial groups,
00:29:59.680 the left cultivates racial consciousness
00:30:01.360 to instill racial pride.
00:30:04.460 For white people,
00:30:05.940 the left cultivates racial consciousness
00:30:07.660 to instill racial shame.
00:30:10.240 It is so perverse.
00:30:11.920 It is so weird.
00:30:13.300 Now, I think every group could probably learn more
00:30:15.740 from the shame part of it
00:30:17.080 than the pride part of it.
00:30:18.500 Pride goeth before destruction
00:30:19.940 and a haughty spirit before a fall.
00:30:21.460 And shame gives us a sense of sin.
00:30:25.820 So, I think what's going on here,
00:30:26.840 when we talk about a racial,
00:30:28.040 what do they call it,
00:30:28.560 the white accountability group,
00:30:30.520 what these people are really trying to get at
00:30:33.160 is confession.
00:30:35.600 That's just their whiteness for them
00:30:38.220 is just a synonym for sin.
00:30:40.940 And accountability groups
00:30:42.420 is a synonym for confession.
00:30:44.840 Like you go into a confessional
00:30:45.840 and confess your sins to a priest,
00:30:47.240 or some people confess their sins
00:30:48.680 to one another in a small group.
00:30:50.680 That's what's going on,
00:30:51.940 except the sin here
00:30:53.160 is just being white.
00:30:54.940 That's the stand-in.
00:30:56.480 And so, under this perverse theory,
00:30:59.160 no one has anything to feel sorry for
00:31:01.200 except for white people
00:31:02.360 because no one has free will.
00:31:04.420 No one has moral agency
00:31:05.700 other than white people.
00:31:07.360 That, according to this idea.
00:31:08.900 Very bizarre.
00:31:09.920 You can see how serious ideas
00:31:12.460 can just be so perverted
00:31:13.880 to make no sense whatsoever.
00:31:17.680 According to these guys,
00:31:19.760 and specifically according to
00:31:21.300 the mayor of Washington, D.C.
00:31:25.520 But mayors across the country,
00:31:27.280 you see this with Lori Lightfoot in Chicago
00:31:29.340 and other race hustlers.
00:31:31.200 According to these people,
00:31:33.160 white supremacy
00:31:33.980 is pervasive
00:31:36.880 and invisible,
00:31:38.520 and we need accountability for it.
00:31:42.080 Now,
00:31:43.320 Black Lives Matter violence
00:31:44.800 is very visible,
00:31:47.080 quite pervasive.
00:31:48.380 We can see it happening
00:31:49.120 before our eyes,
00:31:50.060 and we all need to deny it.
00:31:52.780 If you asked any lib on the street today,
00:31:56.300 what's a bigger problem in America?
00:31:58.420 White supremacy
00:31:59.260 or
00:31:59.940 Black Lives Matter terrorism?
00:32:03.180 I bet,
00:32:05.060 especially if people were in public
00:32:06.300 and they couldn't tell you
00:32:07.140 what they believe
00:32:07.840 in their heart of hearts,
00:32:08.660 they just had to say the line
00:32:09.900 that is socially accepted.
00:32:11.080 They would say white supremacy.
00:32:12.160 It's a horrible.
00:32:12.820 White supremacy
00:32:13.400 is the greatest problem in America.
00:32:17.180 Where is it?
00:32:17.960 Show me the white supremacy.
00:32:19.540 Show me on the map
00:32:21.100 where the white supremacy is
00:32:22.620 because I can show you
00:32:23.640 where the BLM terrorism is.
00:32:25.620 It's in Minneapolis.
00:32:26.620 It's in Washington, D.C.
00:32:27.560 It's in Los Angeles.
00:32:28.560 It's in New York.
00:32:29.240 It's in Chicago.
00:32:30.060 It's all over the place.
00:32:31.240 It's in Nashville,
00:32:33.020 for goodness sakes.
00:32:34.420 Not anymore,
00:32:35.360 but during the heat
00:32:36.280 of the 2020 riots,
00:32:37.500 there was violence.
00:32:38.380 They set a courthouse on fire.
00:32:40.360 So I can show you that,
00:32:41.720 but you can't show me
00:32:42.540 the white supremacy.
00:32:44.040 Senator Ron Johnson,
00:32:45.300 Republican,
00:32:46.560 just grilled the mayor of D.C.,
00:32:48.880 Muriel Bowser,
00:32:50.160 about this issue
00:32:51.280 of BLM terrorism.
00:32:53.460 Do you have a property damage estimate
00:32:55.980 from the summer riots?
00:32:58.140 I'm glad to hear you say
00:33:00.020 that you are opposed
00:33:01.640 to riotous behavior,
00:33:03.560 whether it happened
00:33:04.540 on 16th Street or here.
00:33:06.500 Madam Marie,
00:33:07.220 could you answer the question?
00:33:09.000 Do you have an estimate
00:33:10.040 of the property damage
00:33:10.900 during the summer riots?
00:33:12.240 I know that we had
00:33:13.740 one night of rioting
00:33:17.060 in the district.
00:33:18.640 One night of rioting
00:33:21.120 during BLM in Washington, D.C.
00:33:22.960 Is that true?
00:33:23.440 I was personally
00:33:25.900 in Washington, D.C.
00:33:27.240 for more than one night
00:33:28.460 of leftist BLM violence.
00:33:31.640 Okay, we all know
00:33:32.700 that that is BS.
00:33:33.520 There's video
00:33:34.080 of this sort of thing.
00:33:35.440 And she just lied.
00:33:36.540 Ron Johnson asks
00:33:37.320 a perfectly fair question.
00:33:39.140 What was the cost
00:33:40.120 of the BLM riots?
00:33:42.060 Yeah, I'm glad
00:33:42.960 that you're interested
00:33:43.900 and I don't,
00:33:44.800 but I don't.
00:33:45.300 Answer the question,
00:33:46.200 Mayor Bowser.
00:33:47.460 What was the cost?
00:33:48.420 Well, we had one night.
00:33:49.660 One night.
00:33:52.020 Just total gaslighting.
00:33:54.540 Total gaslighting.
00:33:55.640 This is not someone
00:33:56.700 engaging in the free
00:33:57.600 marketplace of ideas.
00:33:58.780 This is not someone
00:33:59.800 having a real
00:34:00.400 deliberative exercise here.
00:34:01.600 This is unreasonable,
00:34:05.200 logic-free,
00:34:07.300 grunting interest politics.
00:34:10.360 A lot of violence
00:34:11.360 in our streets.
00:34:12.700 There was a lot of violence
00:34:13.660 on Juneteenth,
00:34:15.800 our most sacred
00:34:16.740 national feast day.
00:34:18.060 Juneteenth.
00:34:19.200 You know, as of
00:34:19.820 about eight minutes ago.
00:34:21.140 Juneteenth is the
00:34:22.220 National Independence Day.
00:34:24.800 That's actually
00:34:25.220 the name of the act.
00:34:26.640 The Juneteenth
00:34:27.180 National Independence Day Act.
00:34:29.680 So,
00:34:30.320 the left
00:34:30.800 contrives this holiday
00:34:32.260 out of some local
00:34:33.060 tradition in Galveston.
00:34:34.280 They invent this whole
00:34:35.300 new national holiday.
00:34:36.940 And there was violence
00:34:37.700 at Juneteenth
00:34:39.040 celebrations.
00:34:41.640 Juneteenth partiers
00:34:42.700 shot up a celebration
00:34:44.340 in Oakland,
00:34:45.520 but that wasn't even
00:34:46.400 the craziest part.
00:34:47.620 You had about
00:34:47.900 5,000 people
00:34:48.980 gathered at Lake Merritt
00:34:50.500 in Oakland, California
00:34:51.660 to celebrate Juneteenth
00:34:53.220 and seven people
00:34:54.900 get shot
00:34:55.640 at this celebration.
00:34:57.140 Gosh,
00:34:57.520 sure got rowdy.
00:34:59.180 Then,
00:35:00.940 an ambulance
00:35:01.520 shows up
00:35:02.240 and the
00:35:03.520 feast goers
00:35:04.960 started twerking
00:35:06.760 on the ambulance.
00:35:08.040 You can see
00:35:12.240 when they're trying
00:35:12.720 to like
00:35:13.100 wheel people
00:35:13.800 into this ambulance
00:35:14.620 and there's a
00:35:15.900 young woman
00:35:17.120 of multiple
00:35:17.980 young women
00:35:18.680 twerking on men
00:35:20.820 on the ambulance
00:35:22.680 everyone filming it
00:35:25.020 probably making it
00:35:26.620 pretty tough
00:35:27.080 to put the
00:35:28.260 injured people
00:35:28.920 into the ambulance
00:35:29.880 filming laughing
00:35:31.840 then some guy
00:35:32.380 just jumps up
00:35:33.220 climbs on top
00:35:34.820 of the ambulance
00:35:35.680 he's throwing
00:35:38.780 a football
00:35:39.280 that looks fun
00:35:40.020 throwing a football
00:35:41.440 they're trying
00:35:41.880 to like
00:35:42.180 be nice maybe
00:35:43.520 you know
00:35:43.780 when I see
00:35:44.360 an ambulance
00:35:44.780 behind me
00:35:45.240 in traffic
00:35:45.640 I usually
00:35:46.060 pull to the
00:35:46.640 shoulder of the
00:35:47.180 road
00:35:47.420 because I want
00:35:48.180 to make sure
00:35:48.500 I don't want
00:35:49.000 to impede
00:35:49.360 the ambulance's
00:35:50.080 journey
00:35:50.440 but these guys
00:35:52.720 didn't want
00:35:54.240 the ambulance
00:35:54.920 to impede
00:35:55.520 their ability
00:35:56.120 to grind
00:35:56.800 on one another
00:35:57.520 and dance
00:35:59.100 on a car
00:35:59.840 and throw
00:36:01.040 a football
00:36:02.140 I mention
00:36:04.300 this
00:36:04.780 not only
00:36:05.980 because I think
00:36:06.640 the Juneteenth
00:36:07.260 national holiday
00:36:08.080 is a farce
00:36:09.100 and a very bad
00:36:09.760 idea
00:36:10.120 but also
00:36:11.620 because
00:36:12.220 I never
00:36:14.620 want to hear
00:36:15.160 about police
00:36:15.860 brutality again
00:36:16.880 okay
00:36:17.840 I never
00:36:18.540 want to hear
00:36:19.100 about over
00:36:20.080 incarceration
00:36:20.820 and all
00:36:22.500 these
00:36:22.740 and you know
00:36:23.380 the white
00:36:23.800 supremacist
00:36:24.820 law enforcement
00:36:26.180 you saw
00:36:28.660 this the other
00:36:29.060 day actually
00:36:29.400 there were
00:36:29.640 people twerking
00:36:30.500 on a cop
00:36:31.120 car
00:36:31.460 in where
00:36:32.180 was it
00:36:32.520 Chicago
00:36:32.920 or New York
00:36:33.580 and the car
00:36:34.100 kept driving
00:36:34.640 they're like
00:36:34.860 get off
00:36:35.280 the car
00:36:35.680 stop it
00:36:36.300 but they're
00:36:36.700 not really
00:36:37.040 doing anything
00:36:37.580 about it
00:36:38.240 you have a
00:36:40.500 very dangerous
00:36:41.380 situation
00:36:41.920 where people
00:36:42.280 are getting
00:36:42.580 shot
00:36:43.040 where people
00:36:43.400 need to be
00:36:44.280 taken back
00:36:44.780 to the hospital
00:36:45.260 where you
00:36:45.500 got to get
00:36:45.880 out of the
00:36:46.200 way of the
00:36:46.540 ambulance
00:36:46.920 then you've
00:36:47.520 got a bunch
00:36:48.060 of absolute
00:36:48.960 degenerates
00:36:49.820 dancing and
00:36:50.740 jumping and
00:36:51.220 climbing on a
00:36:51.640 car
00:36:51.720 nothing happens
00:36:52.480 no consequences
00:36:53.300 whatsoever
00:36:53.780 you've got
00:36:54.420 crime spiking
00:36:55.240 right now
00:36:55.700 in cities
00:36:56.240 around the
00:36:56.620 country
00:36:56.860 notably
00:36:57.220 Chicago
00:36:57.720 where shootings
00:36:58.500 and murders
00:36:58.960 are up 50%
00:36:59.840 and what
00:37:01.120 happens
00:37:01.560 no one
00:37:02.940 does
00:37:03.080 they all
00:37:03.480 complain about
00:37:04.040 police brutality
00:37:04.840 on the left
00:37:05.520 they all
00:37:06.100 complain about
00:37:06.880 the over
00:37:07.580 incarceration
00:37:08.100 we have
00:37:09.440 a severe
00:37:10.340 under
00:37:11.340 incarceration
00:37:11.960 problem in
00:37:12.700 this country
00:37:13.180 but just by
00:37:14.780 definition
00:37:15.220 if crime
00:37:15.760 is spiking
00:37:16.320 if criminals
00:37:17.460 are running
00:37:17.880 free on the
00:37:18.380 street
00:37:18.620 then we are
00:37:19.640 under
00:37:20.120 incarcerating
00:37:20.880 people
00:37:21.180 we need
00:37:22.020 criminal justice
00:37:22.760 reform to put
00:37:23.740 more criminals
00:37:24.500 in prison
00:37:25.120 it's not going
00:37:26.180 to happen
00:37:26.560 though
00:37:26.780 BLM rioters
00:37:27.820 are getting
00:37:28.080 completely off
00:37:28.800 the hook
00:37:29.200 I mean we
00:37:30.200 talked about
00:37:30.760 it either
00:37:31.080 yesterday
00:37:31.540 or the
00:37:32.020 previous episode
00:37:32.620 on this show
00:37:33.360 in the Bronx
00:37:34.460 the majority
00:37:35.220 of BLM
00:37:35.800 terrorists
00:37:36.240 are just
00:37:36.560 they're just
00:37:36.960 having the
00:37:37.300 cases dismissed
00:37:37.980 the looters
00:37:38.860 the rioters
00:37:39.540 just doesn't
00:37:40.240 matter
00:37:40.520 now if you
00:37:41.220 go and dance
00:37:41.840 on Nancy
00:37:42.280 Pelosi's desk
00:37:43.120 in a horn
00:37:43.820 helmet
00:37:44.120 then you're
00:37:44.860 gonna get
00:37:45.620 the book
00:37:45.880 thrown at
00:37:46.300 you
00:37:46.380 you're probably
00:37:46.700 gonna go
00:37:46.980 to Gitmo
00:37:47.440 but if you
00:37:48.920 shoot up
00:37:49.420 parties
00:37:50.080 if you
00:37:50.580 dance on
00:37:51.240 ambulances
00:37:51.900 and cop
00:37:52.300 cars
00:37:52.600 if you
00:37:53.480 riot
00:37:53.900 city after
00:37:54.520 city after
00:37:54.960 city and
00:37:55.360 you loot
00:37:55.720 stores
00:37:56.220 totally fine
00:37:57.500 does that
00:37:58.800 does that
00:37:59.200 seem fair
00:37:59.700 to you
00:38:00.100 does that
00:38:01.160 seem like
00:38:01.540 the sort
00:38:01.860 of civilized
00:38:02.440 society
00:38:02.820 where everyone's
00:38:03.260 playing by the
00:38:03.700 rules and we can
00:38:04.180 engage in the
00:38:04.600 free marketplace
00:38:05.040 of ideas
00:38:05.560 I'm not so sure
00:38:06.560 about that
00:38:07.300 Jen Psaki
00:38:09.760 the White House
00:38:11.120 press secretary
00:38:11.860 tells us that
00:38:13.340 there is one
00:38:14.240 real threat
00:38:15.160 in this country
00:38:15.840 that we need
00:38:16.680 to focus on
00:38:17.380 not the thugs
00:38:18.580 shooting people
00:38:19.220 in Chicago
00:38:19.740 not the BLM
00:38:21.820 and Antifa
00:38:22.400 terrorists
00:38:22.940 that have
00:38:23.440 burned down
00:38:23.780 the country
00:38:24.140 for a year
00:38:24.740 not the looters
00:38:26.420 and the rioters
00:38:27.260 and the killers
00:38:27.820 and no
00:38:28.360 we need to
00:38:29.740 worry about
00:38:30.420 Trump
00:38:31.740 there is a
00:38:33.680 reporter
00:38:34.220 again I don't
00:38:35.380 know what outlet
00:38:36.040 he's from
00:38:36.600 a leftist
00:38:37.760 reporter
00:38:38.200 who pointed out
00:38:38.940 that President
00:38:39.360 Trump is about
00:38:39.880 to start
00:38:40.180 holding rallies
00:38:40.760 again
00:38:41.080 and he
00:38:42.800 wants to
00:38:43.340 know
00:38:43.680 if the
00:38:45.520 White House
00:38:45.900 is concerned
00:38:46.580 about the
00:38:47.580 inevitable
00:38:47.920 violence
00:38:48.460 is the
00:38:49.840 administration
00:38:50.340 concerned
00:38:51.080 that actual
00:38:53.140 violent
00:38:54.180 extremists
00:38:55.000 and people
00:38:55.560 espousing
00:38:56.360 secessionist
00:38:57.100 rhetoric
00:38:57.440 are finding
00:38:58.120 a home
00:38:58.820 in Republican
00:39:00.880 primaries
00:39:01.520 and could
00:39:01.900 actually be
00:39:02.440 elected to
00:39:03.100 office
00:39:03.540 and then I
00:39:04.000 have a second
00:39:04.500 question
00:39:04.780 well I'm not
00:39:06.420 going to label
00:39:07.140 people
00:39:07.620 domestic
00:39:08.180 violent
00:39:08.560 extremists
00:39:09.140 officially
00:39:09.640 from here
00:39:10.260 I think
00:39:11.000 we have
00:39:11.280 certainly
00:39:11.600 seen
00:39:12.100 problematic
00:39:12.920 rhetoric
00:39:13.360 followers
00:39:14.440 of QAnon
00:39:15.160 and conspiracy
00:39:15.820 theories
00:39:16.360 who not just
00:39:17.260 who don't just
00:39:17.880 run but are
00:39:18.400 elected to
00:39:18.920 office
00:39:19.200 so there's
00:39:19.740 already a
00:39:20.080 record of
00:39:20.540 that
00:39:20.780 President
00:39:21.160 Biden's
00:39:21.640 predecessor
00:39:22.160 is going
00:39:22.900 to return
00:39:23.660 to his
00:39:24.400 campaign
00:39:24.820 style
00:39:25.200 rallies
00:39:25.660 in Ohio
00:39:26.340 this coming
00:39:27.480 weekend
00:39:28.060 has anyone
00:39:30.080 from the
00:39:30.840 administration
00:39:31.240 reached out
00:39:31.920 to Governor
00:39:32.520 DeWine
00:39:33.180 or anyone
00:39:34.000 in Ohio's
00:39:34.920 government
00:39:35.180 about the
00:39:35.620 possibility
00:39:36.200 of violence
00:39:37.640 resulting
00:39:38.580 from his
00:39:39.980 return to
00:39:40.560 the trail
00:39:41.040 and is
00:39:42.580 there any
00:39:42.980 concern
00:39:43.520 about him
00:39:44.840 going back
00:39:45.440 out there
00:39:45.920 and continuing
00:39:46.520 to insist
00:39:47.220 that the
00:39:47.560 election
00:39:47.880 is fraudulent
00:39:48.740 and that he
00:39:50.240 actually won
00:39:51.080 could result
00:39:52.120 in people
00:39:53.100 being hurt
00:39:53.840 or killed
00:39:54.280 obviously
00:39:55.680 we take
00:39:56.340 the rhetoric
00:39:58.000 of the
00:39:59.840 former guy
00:40:01.400 as we like
00:40:02.000 to say
00:40:02.460 quite seriously
00:40:03.720 as everyone
00:40:04.600 should
00:40:04.940 but I don't
00:40:06.100 have any
00:40:06.620 readouts
00:40:07.560 or calls
00:40:08.460 with Governor
00:40:08.900 DeWine
00:40:09.560 Jen could
00:40:11.540 you just
00:40:12.060 could you
00:40:12.840 say that
00:40:13.400 the Republicans
00:40:13.900 are all evil
00:40:14.760 terrible
00:40:15.460 anti-American
00:40:16.780 people
00:40:17.220 and you're
00:40:18.660 afraid of
00:40:19.240 all the
00:40:20.660 violence
00:40:21.040 the left
00:40:24.580 right now
00:40:25.120 is promising
00:40:26.900 to burn
00:40:27.800 the American
00:40:28.240 flag
00:40:28.680 on the
00:40:29.840 Olympic
00:40:30.100 podium
00:40:30.520 the left
00:40:31.660 right now
00:40:32.100 is actively
00:40:32.900 encouraging
00:40:33.720 political
00:40:34.300 violence
00:40:34.760 as it has
00:40:35.380 for years
00:40:36.140 and I'm not
00:40:36.600 just talking
00:40:37.040 about kooks
00:40:37.520 I'm talking
00:40:37.820 about Maxine
00:40:38.320 well I am
00:40:38.960 talking about
00:40:39.280 kooks
00:40:39.540 but very
00:40:39.900 prominent
00:40:40.300 kooks
00:40:40.940 Maxine
00:40:41.700 Waters
00:40:42.020 Hillary
00:40:42.940 Clinton
00:40:43.480 Kamala
00:40:44.280 Harris
00:40:44.620 bailing
00:40:45.060 rioters
00:40:45.480 out of
00:40:45.760 jail
00:40:46.100 calling
00:40:47.560 for riots
00:40:48.740 in the case
00:40:49.220 of Maxine
00:40:49.680 Waters
00:40:49.980 calling for
00:40:50.720 Democrats
00:40:51.080 to be
00:40:51.400 uncivil
00:40:51.980 with
00:40:52.220 Republicans
00:40:52.760 instituting
00:40:53.780 a new
00:40:54.060 national
00:40:54.600 independence
00:40:55.240 day
00:40:55.700 and waving
00:40:56.600 a new
00:40:56.980 American
00:40:57.420 flag
00:40:57.940 and this
00:41:00.040 guy
00:41:01.160 is worried
00:41:02.800 about
00:41:03.280 the
00:41:03.760 secessionist
00:41:04.640 rhetoric
00:41:05.140 of
00:41:05.520 Democrats
00:41:06.180 the left
00:41:08.100 spends a
00:41:08.800 year
00:41:09.200 burning
00:41:10.620 down the
00:41:11.040 country
00:41:11.360 and this
00:41:13.040 guy is
00:41:13.560 worried
00:41:13.940 about
00:41:14.340 the
00:41:15.200 violent
00:41:15.860 extremism
00:41:16.980 of
00:41:17.520 Republicans
00:41:20.980 what
00:41:22.600 what on
00:41:24.860 earth
00:41:25.200 does
00:41:25.500 this
00:41:25.760 there
00:41:28.700 how do
00:41:29.380 you
00:41:29.520 I'm
00:41:30.220 actually
00:41:30.420 speechless
00:41:30.800 there's
00:41:31.060 just the
00:41:31.300 title of
00:41:31.540 my
00:41:31.620 upcoming
00:41:31.820 book
00:41:32.080 it's
00:41:32.300 my
00:41:32.420 book
00:41:32.580 that's
00:41:32.760 out
00:41:32.860 right
00:41:33.000 now
00:41:33.160 actually
00:41:33.440 how do
00:41:35.560 you
00:41:35.700 respond
00:41:36.140 to that
00:41:36.560 when a
00:41:37.080 man
00:41:37.420 is
00:41:37.880 so
00:41:38.780 tuned
00:41:40.060 out
00:41:40.300 of
00:41:40.440 reality
00:41:40.960 Democrats
00:41:42.740 are committing
00:41:43.400 virtually all
00:41:44.640 of the
00:41:44.900 violence
00:41:45.220 and you
00:41:45.580 say you're
00:41:46.140 worried about
00:41:46.440 the Republican
00:41:46.880 violence
00:41:47.360 the left
00:41:49.440 actively
00:41:50.000 calling for
00:41:50.580 this sorts
00:41:50.880 of violence
00:41:51.320 you say
00:41:52.420 well the
00:41:52.700 right
00:41:52.920 this is
00:41:53.260 the really
00:41:53.580 violent
00:41:53.880 terrible
00:41:54.140 party
00:41:54.400 the former
00:41:54.900 guy
00:41:55.320 the former
00:41:56.640 guy
00:41:57.000 I can't
00:41:58.700 wait for
00:41:59.000 Trump to
00:41:59.300 hold more
00:41:59.640 rallies
00:42:00.000 they're going
00:42:01.120 to call us
00:42:01.700 terrorists
00:42:02.480 if we so
00:42:03.120 much as
00:42:03.460 litter at
00:42:04.040 any of
00:42:04.340 these rallies
00:42:04.860 you can't
00:42:06.460 let that
00:42:06.800 bother you
00:42:07.320 it's just
00:42:07.780 not true
00:42:08.500 they're not
00:42:09.580 engaging in
00:42:10.160 good faith
00:42:10.640 this is not
00:42:11.280 a fair
00:42:11.680 debate
00:42:12.100 that's going
00:42:12.480 on right
00:42:12.860 now
00:42:13.160 just
00:42:14.620 we got
00:42:16.720 to do
00:42:16.940 our thing
00:42:17.280 guys
00:42:17.560 we got
00:42:17.900 to tune
00:42:18.200 it out
00:42:18.500 we should
00:42:19.680 not be
00:42:20.400 wrestling
00:42:20.740 with pigs
00:42:21.560 speaking of
00:42:22.400 Trump supporters
00:42:22.960 and firearms
00:42:24.400 for that matter
00:42:24.960 I owe an
00:42:26.900 apology to
00:42:27.520 the McCloskeys
00:42:28.160 you remember
00:42:29.580 the McCloskeys
00:42:30.260 Mark and
00:42:30.900 Patricia
00:42:31.220 McCloskey
00:42:31.780 were the
00:42:32.540 should be
00:42:34.060 Brooks Brothers
00:42:34.700 models who
00:42:35.320 were standing
00:42:35.660 outside their
00:42:36.140 home when
00:42:36.620 BLM terrorists
00:42:37.520 busted in
00:42:38.160 started breaking
00:42:38.740 their property
00:42:39.300 started threatening
00:42:39.940 their lives
00:42:40.420 with weapons
00:42:41.140 and the
00:42:42.160 McCloskeys
00:42:42.560 had guns
00:42:43.100 and said
00:42:43.360 get off
00:42:43.680 my lawn
00:42:44.100 great
00:42:45.040 great people
00:42:45.820 great Americans
00:42:46.780 well they
00:42:48.460 pled guilty
00:42:49.240 to misdemeanor
00:42:50.200 charge
00:42:50.680 just last
00:42:51.660 week I
00:42:52.000 think
00:42:52.240 had to
00:42:53.300 turn over
00:42:53.660 their guns
00:42:54.240 and I
00:42:54.860 said oh
00:42:55.260 what a
00:42:55.580 pathetic
00:42:56.180 surrender
00:42:57.880 oh my
00:42:58.540 you did
00:42:58.900 nothing wrong
00:42:59.560 you defended
00:43:00.080 your property
00:43:00.600 you defended
00:43:01.060 the constitution
00:43:01.660 now you're
00:43:02.360 giving up
00:43:02.820 your guns
00:43:03.240 your second
00:43:03.680 amendment
00:43:03.960 right
00:43:04.260 you're
00:43:04.500 pleading
00:43:04.900 guilty
00:43:05.220 to this
00:43:05.560 thing
00:43:05.820 well
00:43:06.680 Mark
00:43:07.420 McCloskey
00:43:07.940 just posted
00:43:08.480 a photo
00:43:08.920 where he
00:43:10.160 said checking
00:43:10.620 out my
00:43:11.020 new AR
00:43:11.620 and he was
00:43:12.240 at the gun
00:43:12.620 shop
00:43:12.960 buying
00:43:13.660 a new
00:43:14.340 AR-15
00:43:15.340 so what's
00:43:18.060 going on
00:43:18.540 here
00:43:18.760 I suspect
00:43:20.320 this is a
00:43:20.900 case of
00:43:21.340 the McCloskeys
00:43:22.000 being wise
00:43:22.700 as serpents
00:43:23.420 and innocent
00:43:24.440 as doves
00:43:25.280 meaning there
00:43:26.840 was some
00:43:27.160 charge
00:43:27.580 the cops
00:43:28.720 were trying
00:43:29.060 to get
00:43:29.300 them on
00:43:29.560 a felony
00:43:30.100 what was
00:43:30.920 the felony
00:43:31.260 I don't
00:43:31.540 know
00:43:31.740 they got
00:43:32.340 the lawyers
00:43:32.840 to plead
00:43:33.320 it down
00:43:33.720 to some
00:43:34.100 misdemeanor
00:43:34.620 or something
00:43:35.140 they had
00:43:35.640 to turn
00:43:36.020 over
00:43:36.300 just one
00:43:36.720 or two
00:43:37.000 guns
00:43:37.360 but they're
00:43:37.900 very wealthy
00:43:38.440 people
00:43:38.840 obviously
00:43:39.320 and then
00:43:39.880 they just
00:43:40.100 went out
00:43:40.360 and bought
00:43:40.560 more guns
00:43:41.020 to survive
00:43:43.140 another day
00:43:43.740 to keep
00:43:44.140 on fighting
00:43:44.720 sometimes
00:43:46.260 one needs
00:43:47.180 a tactical
00:43:47.800 retreat
00:43:48.320 the line
00:43:50.880 between courage
00:43:51.420 and recklessness
00:43:51.900 can be a little
00:43:52.440 bit blurry
00:43:52.840 so if we're
00:43:53.900 talking about
00:43:54.340 S1 and HR1
00:43:55.540 over on
00:43:56.040 Capitol Hill
00:43:56.620 you don't
00:43:58.140 always need
00:43:58.520 to engage
00:43:58.900 in the debate
00:43:59.360 sometimes
00:43:59.680 you just
00:44:00.060 gotta kill
00:44:00.880 the bill
00:44:01.560 if you're
00:44:02.460 talking about
00:44:03.000 my friend
00:44:03.600 Steven Crowder
00:44:04.180 you don't
00:44:04.880 always need
00:44:05.200 to engage
00:44:05.740 with these
00:44:06.140 jerks
00:44:06.740 you don't
00:44:07.680 always need
00:44:08.040 to jump
00:44:08.400 in with
00:44:08.660 the pigs
00:44:09.100 you can
00:44:10.820 tactically
00:44:12.400 retreat
00:44:12.760 if you're
00:44:13.240 the McCloskeys
00:44:13.900 you don't
00:44:15.440 always
00:44:16.000 need to
00:44:16.620 make every
00:44:17.000 battle
00:44:17.280 a federal
00:44:17.640 issue
00:44:17.980 you can
00:44:19.280 take your
00:44:20.260 light
00:44:20.540 see where
00:44:20.980 it is
00:44:21.340 and then
00:44:22.160 try to
00:44:24.480 live to
00:44:25.180 fight
00:44:25.480 another day
00:44:26.420 you're seeing
00:44:28.160 this kind
00:44:28.680 of radicalism
00:44:29.580 bubbling up
00:44:30.780 everywhere
00:44:31.640 and we really
00:44:32.240 need to push
00:44:32.720 back against
00:44:33.320 this sort
00:44:33.660 of thing
00:44:33.980 you're seeing
00:44:34.780 it in
00:44:35.460 the movies
00:44:35.980 there's a
00:44:36.420 new movie
00:44:37.000 coming out
00:44:37.620 demonizing
00:44:38.700 white women
00:44:39.360 called
00:44:39.760 Karen
00:44:40.220 we'll have
00:44:41.420 to talk
00:44:41.760 about that
00:44:42.220 perhaps
00:44:42.720 tomorrow
00:44:43.160 there's much
00:44:43.840 to say
00:44:44.200 about that
00:44:44.700 there are
00:44:45.540 new events
00:44:46.340 leftist events
00:44:46.940 around the
00:44:47.260 country
00:44:47.560 that are
00:44:48.160 charging
00:44:48.800 extra fees
00:44:50.660 to white
00:44:51.480 attendees
00:44:52.240 their reparations
00:44:54.160 fees
00:44:54.560 to show up
00:44:55.420 there
00:44:57.200 the left
00:44:58.800 is playing
00:44:59.600 to win
00:45:01.060 the left
00:45:01.600 is not playing
00:45:02.160 to really
00:45:02.580 convince anybody
00:45:03.280 or persuade
00:45:03.720 anybody
00:45:04.000 this is just
00:45:04.640 club you on
00:45:05.540 the head
00:45:05.880 type of
00:45:06.260 interest
00:45:06.680 politics
00:45:07.280 with physical
00:45:08.500 threats
00:45:08.900 in many
00:45:09.240 cases
00:45:09.640 the right
00:45:11.700 has no
00:45:12.440 obligation
00:45:13.080 to engage
00:45:14.800 in the very
00:45:15.760 formal
00:45:16.300 Marquess of
00:45:16.940 Queensberry
00:45:17.560 style
00:45:18.040 rules of
00:45:18.660 debate
00:45:19.020 I don't
00:45:20.260 think that
00:45:20.620 the left
00:45:21.240 is interested
00:45:21.760 in that
00:45:22.160 and I
00:45:22.680 think that
00:45:22.980 we should
00:45:23.560 take our
00:45:24.720 wins
00:45:25.100 when we
00:45:25.440 can get
00:45:25.780 them
00:45:26.000 and I
00:45:27.080 hope we
00:45:27.360 can all
00:45:27.600 have
00:45:27.760 civilized
00:45:28.220 debate
00:45:28.480 again
00:45:28.720 someday
00:45:29.080 but for
00:45:29.640 right now
00:45:30.120 we need
00:45:30.660 to take
00:45:31.080 those
00:45:31.280 political
00:45:31.620 wins
