00:00:00.000 San Francisco Mayor London Breed was just caught violating her own mask mandate while she was
00:00:06.580 dancing at one of the city's jazz clubs. Now, the incident was caught on tape, so Mayor Breed
00:00:13.440 cannot deny that she was disobeying the mask mandate. Instead, she's making excuses. She's
00:00:20.780 justifying it. You see, what you don't understand is it's totally fine for Mayor Breed to ditch her
00:00:27.160 mask while all you peasants have to wear your masks because Mayor Breed was feeling the spirit.
00:00:33.140 My drink was sitting at the table. I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit
00:00:39.240 and I wasn't thinking about a mask. I was thinking about having a good time.
00:00:44.280 And in the process, I was following the health orders. Go out and enjoy yourself.
00:00:49.380 Make sure you are vaccinated because of the requirements. But don't feel as though you have
00:00:55.440 to be micromanaged about mask wearing. Like, we don't need the fun police to come in and try
00:01:01.720 and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn't be doing. We know what we need to do
00:01:06.460 to protect ourselves. And let me tell you, when the spirit moves you because you are watching
00:01:11.960 history in the making, Bay Area royalty perform, I don't know about you, but I'm not going to turn
00:01:17.560 around and look for where my mask is. Mayor Breed, I totally agree. We do not need the fun police.
00:01:25.500 Now, you are the fun police. I mean, you are the chief law enforcement agent. You are the executive
00:01:32.300 of San Francisco. So you're making all these other people wear it. But now, look, if you're telling me
00:01:38.020 that right now that law is off the books, that mask mandate is no more, if you are feeling the spirit,
00:01:44.840 well, that's fine by me. Because as a fellow spirit feeler myself, I completely agree. Let's
00:01:52.440 all ditch the stupid masks. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:04.100 Welcome back to the show. You know, when I want to make sure that my health is totally fine,
00:02:11.140 I don't just look to these expert, mandate, power-happy politicians. I check out Bioptimizers.
00:02:19.360 If you're having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, one of the best things you can possibly do
00:02:24.580 is to start getting enough magnesium. Now, before you run out the door, hold on, hold on a second.
00:02:31.060 You might be inclined to go run out the door, go find the first magnesium supplement that you can.
00:02:35.760 One, do not do that. Most of them that you'll find in the store are made with just the two
00:02:39.960 cheapest, most synthetic forms of magnesium. They are not full spectrum. They will not fix
00:02:45.920 your magnesium deficiency or help you sleep better. There are actually seven unique forms
00:02:50.260 of magnesium. You have to get all of them if you want to experience its calming, sleep-enhancing
00:02:54.880 effects, which is why I would recommend Magnesium Breakthrough by Bioptimizers. You just take two
00:03:00.280 capsules before you go to bed. You will be amazed at how much better you sleep and how much more

00:03:42.320 turns out it's more than just Mayor Breed who has been feeling the spirit. The showbiz royalty of Los
00:03:51.220 Angeles, the people who were attending the Emmy Awards, also appeared to have been feeling the spirit
00:03:57.020 the other night. Because while that county has a very strict mandate back in place, it's a mandate
00:04:01.880 that I actually fled last year and somehow it's now back in place in LA. The showbiz people didn't wear
00:04:09.300 their masks. So at the Emmys, you didn't see any masks anywhere to be found. You know, usually at these
00:04:18.540 kind of glitzy events, you'll be able to peek that in the background, the staff, the help, the filth are
00:04:25.520 wearing their masks while the wonderful, beautiful aristocrats, they don't need to wear their masks. But here,
00:04:30.440 you just didn't really see a mask in sight. Well, why is that? The Emmys have come out and made clear
00:04:36.500 that exceptions, quote, exceptions are made for film, television, and music productions since, quote, additional
00:04:43.120 safety modifications are made for such events. And so it's totally fine for the showbiz stars not to
00:04:52.960 wear the masks. You have to. They don't. You have to. Are you getting it yet? Are you seeing what's
00:05:00.000 happening? As I have said from the beginning, the mask mandates are not about the science and they're
00:05:07.400 not really even about public health. They are about the capricious wielding of power that grants
00:05:13.180 certain privileges to some people and takes away those privileges from other people. I love Mayor
00:05:18.700 Breed's attitude in San Francisco. Oh, come on. We all know the masks are BS. Come on. We all know this
00:05:23.480 is ridiculous. You're having a good time. Just go out and have a good time. You know what you need to
00:05:26.900 do to protect your health. So just do it. Exercise your prudence and don't worry about the masks.
00:05:31.060 That'd be all well and good if she and all of her other politician buddies were not forcing people
00:05:38.220 to wear them. Someone tweeted this out yesterday. I forget who it was. Would you know what an oligarchy
00:05:47.100 looked like if you saw one? Would you know? I mean, we are told that we live in a democracy. We live in a
00:05:54.420 republic. We live in this constitutional order. Would you know if that had morphed into an oligarchy?
00:06:01.600 There is an ancient concept, anticyclosis, the cycle of regimes. How regimes can descend
00:06:09.000 from a democracy into an oligarchy, say into a monarchy, maybe back into... Would you be able to
00:06:16.360 tell when things had shifted? Because one of the telltale signs, I think, is that there would be one
00:06:20.560 set of rules, a nice, free, advantageous set of rules for a small ruling elite, and there would
00:06:26.720 be a completely different set of rules for the rest of us. That, I think, is what we are seeing.
00:06:33.740 What about the illegal aliens pouring over our border? You know, we have a very porous border to
00:06:39.840 the south under Joe Biden. It's reached record levels of foreign nationals pouring into this country.
00:06:44.180 What's the rule for them? Democrat elite, no masks, so long as you're feeling the spirit.
00:06:53.320 Rest of the country, especially us deplorable, irredeemable, MAGA, supremacist, whatever people,
00:07:00.540 you have to wear the mask. What about the foreign nationals who are pouring into our country
00:07:04.980 at the permission and really encouragement of the Biden administration? Well, turns out,
00:07:11.000 I guess they're feeling the spirit too, because the people crossing into our country are not wearing
00:07:15.660 masks. There's no evidence that they're vaccinated at all. So I can't go into a bar in New York unless
00:07:23.960 I show proof that I've had 7,000 booster shots and have 10 masks on. But a Guatemalan national can
00:07:31.880 trot across the border, no big deal. Jen Psaki was asked about this, and the White House's official
00:07:37.220 position is that you don't need to worry about their masks, and you don't need to worry about
00:07:40.900 their vaccines, because, you know, they're probably not going to stay.
00:07:44.560 Is somebody asking the foreign nationals who are walking into Del Rio, Texas, and setting up
00:07:49.420 camps on this side of the border for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test?
00:07:55.460 Let me explain to you again, Peter, how our process works. As individuals come across the border,
00:08:02.480 and they are both assessed for whether they have any symptoms. If they have symptoms,
00:08:08.740 the intention is for them to be quarantined. That is our process. They're not intending to stay here
00:08:14.080 for a lengthy period of time. I don't think it's the same thing. It's not the same thing. These are
00:08:18.900 individuals, as we've noted and as we've been discussed, we are expelling individuals based on
00:08:24.320 Title 42, specifically because of COVID, because we want to prevent a scenario where large numbers of
00:08:30.020 people are gathering, posing a threat to the community and also to the migrants themselves. So those
00:08:35.320 are the policies that we put in place, in large part because, again, the CDC continues to recommend
00:08:41.760 Title 42 be in place given we're facing a global pandemic.
00:08:45.780 They're not intending to stay here for a long period of time. Does Jen Psaki think that the illegal
00:08:52.440 aliens are just taking a nice vacation in the United States? They're just taking a little weekend
00:08:58.360 jaunt. Yes, you know, Juan got Monday off too, so we're going to be in Texas for three days,
00:09:05.000 and then we're going to trot right back across the Rio Grande and go back to Mexico. Is that what's
00:09:08.320 going to happen? Or are they going to stay here forever and ever and ever and generation unto
00:09:12.900 generation unto generation? I suspect it would be the latter. So right there is an obvious lie.
00:09:22.180 Illegal aliens are not just coming for a day or two. They're coming permanently. That's the point.
00:09:27.140 That's why you make the track. Further then, she says, look, Peter, you're being unfair.
00:09:32.820 We are. Well, she doesn't say we're quarantining people with symptoms. She goes,
00:09:37.220 the intention is to quarantine people with symptoms. So they're probably almost certainly
00:09:41.040 not even doing that. But okay, at least the intention is there to quarantine people with
00:09:44.980 symptoms. But hold on. I was told that COVID spreads because of asymptomatic people.
00:09:51.560 Furthermore, I was told that COVID spreads because of asymptomatic vaccinated people.
00:09:57.180 That's why I need to wear the mask. The mask, which I was told exists to protect other people
00:10:03.560 from my germs. I was told that after I was told that the masks don't work at all by Dr. Fauci.
00:10:08.660 But then I was told that the masks exist not really to protect you, but to protect other people from
00:10:13.300 your germs, even if you're asymptomatic, even if you're vaccinated. Why do people need to wear the
00:10:18.140 vaccines on airplanes? Why do people need to wear the vaccines in their workplace? Why do people who are
00:10:24.840 vaccinated, who show proof of their vaccination have to wear the masks? Why? Because it's not about
00:10:33.960 the rule. It's not about the principle. It's not about the virus or the microbes are stopping the
00:10:41.780 spread. It's about the people upon whom the rule is imposed. It's not about the little virus.
00:10:50.500 It's about the movie star, the TV stars at the Emmys. And it's about the illegal aliens that the Biden
00:10:57.400 administration wants to flood into the country because they believe it will give Democrats a
00:11:01.240 permanent electoral advantage. And it's about you. And the first two groups, they can use their
00:11:09.220 prudence. We can prioritize their hopes and dreams. They want to come into America. They want to win
00:11:13.460 their gold statues. They want to feel the spirit and dance before Bay Area royalty. Man, that was some
00:11:18.680 good jazz. You expect me to wear a mask when I got that good jazz going on? Then they're going to lie
00:11:25.440 to you like the mayor of San Francisco did and say, look, I was, I had my drink down. I was dancing
00:11:29.800 without a mask. I was following health procedures. You manifestly were not following health procedures,
00:11:33.680 even according to your own logic. And then they're going to tell you to do whatever they say.
00:11:39.340 Would you know an oligarchy if you saw one? Would you know good American meat if you saw it? I bet
00:11:46.180 you would not. That's why you got to go check out our friends over at Good Ranchers. Did you know
00:11:49.620 that 80% of the grass-fed beef sold in the United States is actually imported from overseas? Sometimes
00:11:56.220 they'll say it's from a local farm. It's from a local farm in South America somewhere. It's not
00:11:59.780 from one here, which is why you got to check out the Good Ranchers. The Good Ranchers are helping out
00:12:03.780 the American rancher. They're helping out the American consumer. And they are giving you top quality
00:12:09.660 beef for unbelievable prices. So whatever you want, they have, they have actually more than beef.
00:12:15.420 They've got better than organic chicken. But me, I'm a little more of a beef guy. They got the
00:12:19.160 T-bones. They got the fillets. They got the strips. They have, to my mind, basically the best burgers
00:12:24.380 out there. They're gourmet, delicious burgers that are juicy that I've had within the past few weeks.
00:12:30.580 Go check them out right now. You get steakhouse quality at a price every family can afford.

00:12:54.600 at goodranchers.com slash Knowles. You are hearing about a lot of different stories in the news. There's
00:13:02.320 a story about a young woman who is a travel blogger who went missing and now I think has turned up dead.
00:13:09.180 And then the boyfriend sort of went missing too. And it's one of the, you know, it's a very sad story,
00:13:14.320 but it's just kind of a personal interest story. It's not a, I don't think it means anything for
00:13:19.860 our broader politics. And the media are totally focusing on this story. This is where you've got
00:13:26.100 to put your attention. Meanwhile, we have an historic flood of foreign nationals across our southern
00:13:34.220 border. You're not supposed to look at that. Ignore that. Focus on a YouTuber and this, you know, very sad
00:13:41.700 kind of personal romantic crime story. But don't look at the bigger political issue, which is that we've
00:13:48.800 already taken, I think, over 1.2 million illegal aliens into this country this year. And we're going to take
00:13:54.340 way more than that. Okay, it's only heating up right now. And we are being told that the criminals
00:14:04.100 in this situation are the Americans, are the handful of Americans who are in any way attempting to enforce
00:14:11.180 the law. There was a blue check lib on Twitter, Sawyer Hackett. He is the executive director of Julian
00:14:19.020 Castro's People First Future. Julian Castro, you will recall, ran for president on the unexpected platform
00:14:28.760 of allowing men to have abortions. You might remember, he said, we need abortion. We need reproductive
00:14:33.600 justice for trans women. Say, well, trans woman doesn't have a uterus. I don't think you, okay, I guess I'm for
00:14:42.740 abortions for trans women too. They can have as many abortions as they want. So Julian Castro did not make it very
00:14:48.040 long in the race. Now I guess this guy, Sawyer Hackett, is running his new organization. Sawyer Hackett sees a
00:14:53.160 picture of just a handful of border patrol on horseback who are trying in any way to stop the flow
00:14:59.500 of illegal immigrants. And he tweets this, quote, border patrol is mounted on horseback rounding up
00:15:05.100 Haitian refugees with whips. This is unfathomable cruelty toward people fleeing disaster and political
00:15:12.340 ruin. This administration must stop this. So I saw that tweet and I said, you know, I, I'm not saying
00:15:20.280 I'm a zillionaire. Okay. I'm not saying I'm a man of extraordinary means, but I would bet every penny to
00:15:25.340 my name that the border patrol is not whipping Haitian migrants. I would, I would bet that. And then I looked
00:15:33.900 and I saw, no, you're right. They're not whipping Haitian migrants. They're holding the reins of their
00:15:38.680 horses. But the left is so culturally illiterate that they don't, they don't know that. They're not
00:15:48.740 culturally illiterate. I bet they know a lot more about the Emmys than I do. I bet they know a lot
00:15:52.200 more about those Oscar nominated movies that three people saw than I do. But they don't know the basic
00:15:59.240 elements of horseback riding. They do this with guns all the time. They'll say he, he had a semi
00:16:03.900 fully automatic assault rifle with a, with a 70 ammo clip and it was a super duper assault. And you're
00:16:14.300 thinking you don't know anything about weapons or what automatic means or semi-automatic. And these are
00:16:19.700 the people who are attempting to regulate your weapons. The same thing here. Not only do you not know
00:16:25.780 anything about immigration enforcement, not only do you not know anything about law enforcement
00:16:29.620 generally, you don't even know about horses. You don't even, you don't even know the thing that
00:16:33.440 they're riding on. So they're not. Border Patrol, I mean, they're doing what they can, but their,
00:16:38.060 their hands are tied, not by whips or reins, but by the political chains of the Biden administration.
00:16:43.860 And so they've just got to let these, these immigrants come over. A huge number of them are Haitian,
00:16:49.560 which is kind of weird because Haiti is a little island, right? Haiti is not,
00:16:53.040 Haiti, Haiti is not part of Mexico. So how'd they get over here? I don't know,
00:16:57.340 but they make it to Mexico and they're crossing over into the United States. And we, we have to
00:17:02.920 think, well, you know, no, you have to, you go to Haiti or you go to some other country, but you
00:17:07.480 can't, not everyone in the entire world can come into the United States. That won't be good for
00:17:11.420 anybody. It won't be good for America. Won't be good for our rule of law. And it won't be good for
00:17:16.260 the people because if everyone floods here, then our country doesn't, isn't a country anymore.
00:17:20.020 The place they're fleeing to will cease to exist. If we just completely open up our borders.
00:17:25.920 Ilhan Omar has a different point of view. Ilhan Omar, radical left-wing congressman.
00:17:30.860 She came out and said, not only should we allow the Haitian migrants to come in, we owe it to them.
00:17:38.360 I've also heard people say Haitians might, many of the Haitians who are at our border might not have
00:17:44.740 actual grounds to seek asylum. These are people who have experienced a natural disaster, um, which
00:17:53.220 allows for people who experienced that to seek asylum. They've also experienced, uh, political
00:18:00.080 violence, um, political and heaval. They have experienced a crisis after crisis. Uh, we have
00:18:07.740 also contributed to that. Generations, um, of Haitians have experienced American policy that
00:18:15.420 has contributed to their starvation, to the criminalization that they are dealing with,
00:18:21.560 and to the inhumane policies that continue, um, to destroy the lives of Haitians. So not only do we owe
00:18:29.520 Haitians the, uh, the, the right thing of allowing them, um, to, to seek asylum here, but we also owe
00:18:39.140 them, uh, the, the kind of policies that would allow for them to dictate the ways in which they want to
00:18:46.120 run their country. Can anyone listening out there translate that into English for me? Because I have
00:18:52.340 no idea what Ilhan Omar just said. People used to get on Trump. They used to attack Trump because Trump
00:18:57.860 would speak in vague terms because maybe he, he wasn't totally caught up on all the details of
00:19:02.180 everything. Look, we're going to do something that is really, really positive. Okay. And we are,
00:19:07.680 we don't want to do anything that is bad for a man. We're going to do only good things. Okay. And
00:19:13.040 you say, okay, well, you're speaking these really broad terms. Ilhan Omar is speaking in precisely the
00:19:18.840 same degree of vagueness. She goes, Haitians have experienced political violence, political upheaval,
00:19:25.200 crisis after crisis. That's true. Haiti is basically a cursed country that has had problems
00:19:31.360 from the very beginning. That's certainly true. Uh, largely political problems, largely problems of
00:19:38.160 the Haitians own making, but also natural disasters and earthquakes and things like that.
00:19:43.500 We have also contributed to that, Ilhan Omar says. Generations of Haitians have experienced American
00:19:49.520 policy that has contributed to their starvation, to the criminalization that they are dealing with,
00:19:54.460 whatever that means, to the inhumane policies that continue to destroy the lives of Haitians.
00:19:59.060 What, what policies? Okay. So your, your claim, Ilhan Omar is America, basically it's America's fault.
00:20:06.520 Everything's America's fault. It's all our fault here. So what is it? What did we do? Did we give them
00:20:13.880 a ton of aid after all of their natural disasters? Did we let a lot of them in every single year
00:20:20.520 into our country? Did, what do we, what did we do that was so bad? Can you specify what,
00:20:25.440 what contributed to their starvation? All the money that we give them and all the food? Or what can,
00:20:30.120 what, what about the criminalization? What, I don't even know what that means. The inhumane policies,
00:20:34.720 you mean letting them come into our country illegally? I, I agree that is in, it's inhumane to Americans.
00:20:39.740 It's not inhumane to, in a way, I guess it is inhumane to the Haitians because if you cross that border,
00:20:44.880 you're dealing with a ton of criminals and you're, you're putting yourself in a very bad situation,
00:20:48.300 which is why encouraging those kinds of policies is so awful. We owe it to Haitians to do the right
00:20:55.180 thing to let them seek asylum here and we owe them the kinds of policies that would allow for
00:20:58.920 them to dictate the ways in which they, they want to run their country. What, what do we owe them?
00:21:03.680 I don't think we owe them anything, frankly. I think we owe solidarity to our fellow man and we ought to
00:21:10.360 be very generous as we always are and we ought to love the Lord our God above all things and love our
00:21:15.700 neighbor as ourself. That does not mean destroy your own country. That will not help our neighbor
00:21:23.780 as ourselves. We're not helping ourselves then in any way. We don't have any regard for ourselves.
00:21:28.180 We're actually annihilating the country by getting rid of our borders. So I don't think that will help
00:21:31.860 our neighbors at all. They've experienced crisis after crisis. We've contributed, we've done,
00:21:38.880 it's our fault. Well then why the hell are they coming here? Oh man, if this, if we're,
00:21:43.940 if truly we are the great Satan, we are the worst country ever. We are responsible for all the
00:21:49.280 problems that they are fleeing. Why would they come here? This place sounds terrible. You know,
00:21:55.700 the most humane thing to do, I think, the most generous thing to do would be to say, no, not a
00:22:00.080 single Haitian gets in because we don't want to be any more inhumane and cruel to you. But she doesn't
00:22:05.180 believe this. I mean, nobody believes this. This is madness. We talked yesterday on the show about how
00:22:12.620 things are not always as they seem. One of the great advantages of the Trump era of politics and
00:22:18.620 now in the post-Trump era, I guess. Maybe we're in the pre-Trump era again, depending on what happens
00:22:23.380 in 2024. But one of the great advantages of it is we're seeing the difference between how things
00:22:28.440 appear and how things really are. Would you know an oligarchy if you saw one? How our government
00:22:33.700 appears is that it's our democracy and, you know, the people's house. And that's why the attack of
00:22:40.180 January 6th was the worst event in American history. But the reality is, I don't know that
00:22:46.400 the people have a whole lot of say in their government. I don't know that the system of
00:22:51.040 government that we were taught in civics class and Schoolhouse Rock and I'm a Bill on Capitol Hill,
00:22:55.060 I'm not sure that's the way we're really run. And furthermore, we're told that the vaccines are
00:22:59.780 the big issue and the people who are not wearing the masks, not taking the vaccine, not going along
00:23:04.480 with the health measures, we're told it's all these white male, terrible Christian Republican Trump
00:23:08.000 supporters. Well, it's not. I don't think it is. I think it's the mayor of San Francisco. And I think
00:23:13.460 there's another story out of New York of three black women who were so angry at the mandates that
00:23:19.000 they actually attacked the hostess at a popular restaurant. You know, it's very, very important,
00:23:26.720 very, very important when we think about how we're going to run our country, how we're going to protect
00:23:31.240 our rights, to protect the right to life, which is why you got to check out 40 Days for Life.
00:23:35.920 It's been a tough news cycle the past few weeks, months, almost years. And so when you get some
00:23:43.320 good news, you should take it. Namely, this pro-life law in Texas. This is the best news for the pro-life
00:23:48.420 movement, maybe since Roe versus Wade. You're going to see this come up a lot in conversation,
00:23:56.080 at parties, with your family. You're going to want to know all of the arguments because the left is
00:24:01.480 losing their minds over this, and they are demagoguing this issue, and they're trying to
00:24:05.600 fight it tooth and nail. What I would recommend is checking out a new book. It's a new book from
00:24:10.100 40 Days for Life. It's called What to Say When, The Complete New Guide to Discussing Abortion. It's a
00:24:14.620 really easy read for individuals who are looking to defend life and convert hearts. A lot has changed
00:24:20.920 since Roe v. Wade in 1973. What to Say When equips readers with the proven approaches to dismantling
00:24:27.600 the pro-abortion agenda. 40 Days for Life members have already been able to convert the hearts of
00:24:34.620 221 abortion workers. How incredible is that? So learn what to say, what not to say. The book is

00:25:09.160 by forcing your employers to force you to do it, right? We're not going to comply with that. We're
00:25:15.660 just not. Sorry. See you, buddy. So we may have to go to court. We'll find out how it goes. If you want

00:25:40.120 extra constitutional edict. We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:25:51.520 Three people just attacked a hostess at a very famous Italian restaurant in New York on the upper
00:26:01.400 west side because the hostess asked to see their vaccine cards, asked for proof of vaccination.
00:26:08.000 I don't think the restaurant wanted to do this. I've been to this restaurant on a number of occasions,
00:26:11.580 and I think they're a good, good old restaurant, Carmine's, but the city is forcing them to. And so
00:26:17.120 the hostess was complying with the stupid city ordinance. And these three people beat up the
00:26:23.000 hostess. Now, if you watch CNN, if you read the New York Times, you know who were these three people?
00:26:31.100 They were three white, male, Republican, probably Christian, Trump supporters, anti-vaxxer murderers
00:26:42.680 who wouldn't show the vaccine proof so they don't get their bowl of spaghetti, right?
00:26:49.460 So what are their names? Keita Nkinge Rankin, 44 years old, Tiani Kishay Rankin, 21, and Sally
00:27:02.160 Rochelle Lewis, 49. They were arrested and charged with assault and criminal mischief. They don't.
00:27:08.720 So those names, gosh, I don't want to get in trouble. I don't want to stereotype or
00:27:14.940 they don't, they sound a little more ethnically ambiguous than we were told about the white male
00:27:23.420 Trump supporters, right? They don't sound male, that's for sure. No, it turns out there are three
00:27:28.980 tourists, three black women who were visiting New York. They show up to the restaurant. They don't
00:27:34.480 want to go along with the mandate. I think these women are from Texas where you don't need to show proof
00:27:37.720 of your Fauci ouchie. So they must have been very surprised. Now a lawyer for the women, this is
00:27:45.120 where the story gets complicated. Now a story, a lawyer for the women is saying that the hostess used
00:27:50.180 a racial slur. I don't believe that. I've been to Carmine's. I just don't think that's true. There's so
00:27:54.020 many hoaxes that go on. I write about a lot of those hoaxes, race hoaxes in my book Speechless, which
00:27:59.720 you can get. The worst thing you can be called in America is a racist. The worst offense you can
00:28:05.920 possibly commit is to utter the N-word. And so the lawyer is saying that. I don't think there's
00:28:11.560 any evidence that the restaurant is vigorously denying that. Now BLM is showing up and saying
00:28:16.900 they're going to protest not just Carmine's for the hostess's alleged behavior that I am fairly
00:28:22.840 certain did not take place, but they're also going to protest the city's vaccine mandate, which they say
00:28:29.680 is a way to keep black people out of places. Because contrary to CNN reports, black people
00:28:38.080 disproportionately are not getting the vaccine. And so they want to blame everything on white males
00:28:41.760 because white males are the worst creatures in the history of the world. And everything they do is
00:28:47.020 terrible. But because they're trying to discourage this behavior, they don't want to acknowledge that
00:28:56.200 a lot of black people are engaging in the same kind of behavior, namely not wanting to get the
00:28:59.700 Fauci-Auchi right away. So this is a very politically, this might be the most complex political story of
00:29:05.320 all time. Because the first part of the story, three women refuse to go along with a vaccine mandate.
00:29:09.960 Love that. Love that. Refuse to show their papers at the restaurant. Love that. Man, that's great.
00:29:15.340 Kudos to them. Next part of the story, they beat up the hostess. Well, that's bad. We don't like that.
00:29:20.240 Don't beat up the hostess, okay? Especially at Carmine's because it's a nice restaurant.
00:29:23.720 Man, hate that. Next part of the story, they're accusing this hostess now of using a racial slur.
00:29:29.160 Almost certainly didn't happen. Really hate that. That's ugly racial politics.
00:29:34.840 Fourth part of the story, BLM shows up. Now I really hate that because they're going to go loot
00:29:38.680 all the spaghetti, you know, just like the BLM arsonists and terrorists looted city after city
00:29:44.740 and burned down police buildings and courthouses. Really hate that. But then the final part of the story,
00:29:50.400 BLM is opposing the mask mandate citywide. I like that. Am I on the side of BLM now? I guess in this
00:30:00.820 regard I sort of am. Politics makes for strange bedfellows. This to me is the most interesting
00:30:05.960 part of this whole story. It's the only reason why this is news as far as I'm concerned. It's not
00:30:10.540 because of the typical racial politics that you always hear about. It's not. That to me is the least
00:30:16.260 interesting part of the story. What's interesting here is not the race aspect. It's the COVID aspect.
00:30:23.280 This COVID, COVIDistan, this new COVIDistan country that we're all living in is realigning
00:30:32.280 a lot of politics, at least temporarily, and maybe it'll have a more of a permanent effect.
00:30:38.440 The people who are opposed to the COVID public health dictatorship are not just white male Trump
00:30:43.060 supporters. They're young black women. We were told that's not possible. The people who are opposed
00:30:51.900 to the mask mandates are some radical leftists actually too. The people who do not like the way
00:31:00.240 that our government is being run, it doesn't break down just on party lines or even ideological lines.
00:31:06.780 It's a little bit more us versus them. It's a little bit more the people versus the ruling class.
00:31:13.000 It's a little bit more the people who thought we were living in a constitutional republic versus
00:31:18.060 increasingly the oligarchy. Would you know an oligarchy if you saw one? And so everyone,
00:31:25.220 when they're talking about this Carmine story and it is going to crop up on TV, you're only going to hear
00:31:29.320 people talking about the racial aspect. Don't take the bait. Don't fall for that. The interesting
00:31:33.700 aspect is what impelled these women to lose their temper and start punching people in the first
00:31:41.820 place. And what then impelled the racial politics because that's the only way you can talk about it
00:31:45.920 because you're not allowed to talk about the public health dictatorship. Here's the proof of this.
00:31:49.640 Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, is in hot water again. Oh boy, is he in trouble.
00:31:55.940 Oh, Justin Trudeau. What's he in trouble for? Is he in trouble for a major corruption scandal
00:32:00.180 involving a construction company called Lavalin that took place just three years ago
00:32:04.980 where Justin Trudeau was actually formally charged with an ethics complaint? This is
00:32:11.100 from Canada's top ethics watchdog. He's the first prime minister in Canada's history to have this
00:32:16.100 happen to him. Just on paper, the most corrupt prime minister ever in the history of Canada. No,
00:32:20.960 it's not that. Is it because he's persecuting Christians and shutting down their churches? No,
00:32:26.720 it's not that. Is it because he's like Canadian politicians for a very long time permitting
00:32:32.160 abortion up until the moment of birth? Has some of the most barbaric abortion laws in the entire
00:32:36.480 world? Just pure infanticide? No, it's not that. It's because he, oh, he wore blackface once,
00:32:45.360 which we already knew about. That's why he's, that's the scandal. Justin Trudeau, who we know wore
00:32:53.340 blackface, now we have another photo of him wearing blackface from, I think, the same event.
00:33:00.780 That's the big scandal. I don't, oh man, I know, I know this is going to be, this is going to get me
00:33:07.860 in trouble with all the left-wing groups out there. I don't, I don't care that Justin Trudeau wore
00:33:14.060 blackface. I don't, I don't care at all. I don't care that Jimmy Fallon wore blackface. Neither does the
00:33:19.240 left, by the way. I don't care that Ted Danson wore blackface. Neither does the left, by the way.
00:33:24.000 I don't care that Joy Behar wore blackface. Neither does the left, by the way. I don't care that Megyn
00:33:28.840 Kelly talked about blackface once and the left really cares. That's a big problem. That's a really,
00:33:34.160 that's, you've got to lose your career for that. I don't care. No one actually cares.
00:33:37.620 No, nobody cares about blackface itself. People are using that as a way to feign indignation
00:33:47.540 because race is the only way that we can talk about sin and grace and justice and crime anymore
00:33:57.320 in the entire Western world. But no one cares about the blackface itself. This is a real indictment of
00:34:03.880 our culture that blackface is what people are attacking Justin Trudeau for. On the, on the long
00:34:09.980 list of Justin Trudeau's sins, blackface is somewhere around number 5,326. Okay. It's not even close to
00:34:19.460 the top. But I've said this before. I may have said it before on this show. The worst thing you can be
00:34:27.120 called is a racist. The only, the only way we can talk about transgressions of the moral order is in
00:34:33.520 terms of race. And the reason for that is we've adopted in many ways a materialist view of the
00:34:38.360 world. So our view of the world only runs skin deep now. We deny that God exists. We deny that
00:34:44.200 a moral order exists. We deny that there's anything beyond the flesh in the present. And yet we still
00:34:49.640 intuit that some things are right and some things are wrong. So the only way that we can discuss them
00:34:53.880 is using the language of skin, is using the language of physicality. This is why you heard
00:34:59.680 around 9-11, you heard people warning against anti-Muslim racism. As we pointed out then, Islam is not a
00:35:07.880 race. Islam is a religion. So if you don't like Muslims or you object to Islam, you are not doing
00:35:14.640 so on the basis of racism. You're doing so on the basis of your religious views. You're doing so on
00:35:18.840 the basis of your philosophical views or your sociological views, but not racism. But that's the
00:35:23.240 only way that we can talk. Because we're stupid. Because we've gotten extremely stupid in this
00:35:28.600 culture. And we do not possess the philosophical or political sophistication to debate these things.
00:35:35.120 Is it any wonder that increasingly we are living in an oligarchy? Now speaking of ethnically ambiguous
00:35:42.440 governors, we have to move away from the melanated Justin Trudeau for a second to talk about
00:35:50.920 Beto O'Rourke. Beto O'Rourke. Sounds like a Mexican, looks like an Irishman. Beto O'Rourke,
00:35:56.700 you'll remember, ran for, what was the first thing? He's run for everything. He ran for
00:36:00.760 Senate against, he was a congressman, kind of a backbencher congressman. Then he ran for Senate
00:36:05.820 against Cruz and lost. Then he ran for president and he got the spread, baby. That guy, Vanity Fair,
00:36:12.060 he was the one. Beto's the one we've been waiting for. And he completely flopped. He was just a joke,
00:36:17.120 skateboarding punk in a Whataburger parking lot. He didn't go anywhere. And so then he lost. And
00:36:24.500 then he went on this road trip where he pretended to be like a beat poet. And he wrote, I'm just
00:36:28.940 trying to, just trying to find myself on the road. Well, now he's back, not with a real job, but he's
00:36:33.560 back running for governor again. According to Axios, Beto O'Rourke is preparing to run for governor of
00:36:39.880 Texas in 2022 with an announcement expected later this year. Texas political operatives tell Axios.
00:36:45.340 The reason I bring it up is not because Beto O'Rourke is a serious person,
00:36:49.780 but you should not count your chickens before they hatch. Beto O'Rourke is a joke of a person,
00:36:58.280 but he is persistent. And persistence often pays off in politics. Look at Senator John Ossoff.
00:37:06.420 Senator John Ossoff ran for Congress in Georgia. He's a Democratic senator. He ran for Congress in
00:37:11.300 Georgia. Hollywood flooded money in there. The whole Democrat establishment flooded money
00:37:15.280 and he lost. He was a joke. And then what happened? He just ran again later, ran for Senate.
00:37:19.660 He got an upgrade, right? Now he's, now he's a Senator. Richard Nixon lost the presidency in 1960.
00:37:26.680 Well, I know we're not allowed to talk about election fraud, but he officially lost the
00:37:32.440 presidency in 1960. I don't know. A lot of dead people voted for Kennedy. So then he loses in 60.
00:37:37.680 He runs for governor of California in 1962. He loses that also. His career is over. He's done.
00:37:42.400 Then he runs for president in 1968 and he wins. It's one of the greatest political comebacks ever.
00:37:48.240 Do not count Beto out. The reason Beto is running right now is not because he thinks he's gotten more
00:37:52.060 popular or smarter or more talented. The reason Beto is running is because we've changed our election
00:37:58.460 systems. And Beto is counting on the new election systems, widespread mail-in voting, the reduction of
00:38:06.320 election integrity measures, to push him over the finish line. He's also counting on the flood and flood of
00:38:10.900 illegal aliens who are pouring over, having an effect either immediately or over time to give
00:38:15.740 Democrats an advantage in Texas. Do not count him out. He would not be running if he and the Democrats
00:38:21.720 did not think he had some chance of winning. Speaking of very bad governors, this is a story
00:38:26.320 that's not getting any traction, but it really should. This is one of the worst things that Gavin
00:38:31.020 Newsom has done in California. And it looks like he's going to get away with it.
00:38:33.540 In one of his first actions since surviving his recall election, Governor Newsom abolished single
00:38:42.520 family zoning in California. Newsom abolished the suburbs is what that means. He greenlit a series
00:38:49.740 of bills that will increase the state's housing production. Signed Senate Bill 9 into law, opens the
00:38:56.400 door for the development of up to four residential units on single family lots in California.
00:39:01.020 The Democrats have been pushing for this for a very long time because the Democrats do very well
00:39:08.960 in the cities. They do not do very well in the country. And the suburbs are the battleground.
00:39:15.440 If you can effectively abolish the suburbs, if you can make the suburbs a lot more herb,
00:39:21.220 the Democrats will have a major and probably permanent advantage.
00:39:24.580 Now, I kind of like the suburbs. When I was a young man, I wanted to be in the city. Now that I'm an
00:39:32.400 old man, married with a kid, I like the suburbs are a great place where you can have the American
00:39:37.980 dream, where you can have a house, where you can have maybe a little bit of property, where you can
00:39:43.040 have a nice neighborhood where it's not gangs running all over and it's not homeless and needles and
00:39:49.940 human feces and it's not like you're living in San Francisco, where you can have a nice place to
00:39:55.260 live for relatively not a ton of money. That was the American dream. Democrats have been trying to
00:40:02.540 abolish that for a long time because they don't like America and they want to give us a nightmare. So
00:40:07.940 they've been pushing for this. And Gavin Newsom is one of the first things he does, not before the
00:40:12.520 recall election because he knows people are going to hate it, but after the recall election.
00:40:16.460 All right. And Gavin Newsom, he's not going to live in some apartment building. Okay. Gavin
00:40:20.580 Newsom is not going to live in some duplex or quadruplex where, you know, he's, he's living
00:40:27.120 with a bunch of, he's going to get to live in his nice house and his nice fancy neighborhood. And
00:40:30.280 that's going to be fun. Nancy Pelosi is going to get to live in her nice house in her nice fancy
00:40:33.480 neighborhood and with her lovely American suburban lifestyle dream. But you're not, you don't get
00:40:40.100 that because that's wrong. People need housing. How do you selfish deplorable?
00:40:45.920 You don't even want to build more housing right on your backyard. It's not going to happen for the
00:40:52.340 ruling class. It's only going to happen for you. Would you know an oligarchy if you saw one?
00:41:02.400 You know, one of the signs that we have lost control of our government is when the people that are in
00:41:12.400 charge, many of whom we put in charge, or at least it seems like we put them in charge, you know, we go
00:41:16.840 and we vote and then they make appointments and then the appointments make appointments and okay,
00:41:20.980 so you've got this government. One of the signs that you've lost control of your government is when
00:41:26.480 the ruling class rules by their whims, by their caprices, where it's arbitrary. And nowhere is
00:41:37.060 that clearer than in our new COVID policies, the COVIDistan country that we're living in. Scott
00:41:43.860 Gottlieb, former commissioner of the FDA, just went on Face the Nation. He was asked about this
00:41:52.420 six-foot rule. Remember that? So you've got to mask up to slow the spread. You've got to stand six feet
00:41:56.580 away from people. And then you've got to get the vaccine. And even when you get the vaccine, you
00:42:00.320 still got to stand away sometimes and mask sometimes. And it was all very unclear. So
00:42:05.360 Gottlieb was asked, where did the six-foot rule come from? You know where it came from?
00:42:11.780 I don't know.
00:42:12.240 The six-foot was arbitrary in and of itself. Nobody knows where it came from. The initial
00:42:16.460 recommendation that the CDC brought to the White House, and I talk about this, was 10 feet.
00:42:20.400 And a political appointee in the White House said, we can't recommend 10 feet. Nobody can measure 10
00:42:25.200 feet. It's inoperable. Society will shut down. So the compromise was around six feet. Now imagine if
00:42:30.020 that detail had leaked out. Everyone would have said, this is the White House politically interfering
00:42:34.180 with the CDC's judgment. The CDC said 10 feet, it should be 10 feet. But 10 feet was no more right
00:42:39.120 than six feet, and ultimately became three feet. But when it became three feet, the basis for the
00:42:45.160 CDC's decision to ultimately revise it from six to three feet was a study that they had conducted
00:42:49.440 the prior fall. So they changed it in the spring. So he goes on. It's worth listening to the whole
00:42:55.660 interview because Gottlieb really gives you a peek behind the curtains. I always sort of liked Gottlieb.
00:43:02.160 He was the Trump FDA commissioner. And, you know, I wish Trump had handled COVID better.
00:43:08.580 He was really up against the wall. I don't think there was any Republican who would have handled
00:43:13.060 COVID better. But you do wish there was a guy who just said like, no, we're not doing this.
00:43:18.120 We're just not going to lock down. You don't get 15 days. You don't get anything. We're just going
00:43:22.680 to keep the country open and deal with it. It was almost certainly impossible politically and
00:43:30.120 otherwise. But at least now they're kind of opening the curtain on this. And so what Gottlieb says is
00:43:36.840 the six foot recommendation? No one has any idea where it came from. But then he goes on. He says
00:43:42.060 the original recommendation was 10 feet. That was from the CDC. So you're going to hear people tell
00:43:46.980 you, well, yeah, six feet was arbitrary, but really it should have been 10. And they just said politically
00:43:50.540 you couldn't do it. Except that the 10 feet was wrong too. It was just, I don't know. Then it became
00:43:58.840 three feet, three feet. That's okay. And now, okay, the compromise is this and that. What is the
00:44:04.320 compromise? I thought we were talking about science. We're just talking about the incompetent
00:44:09.700 but ironclad rule of a ruling class. And they're just going to keep it up, by the way. They're just
00:44:17.900 going to, we can, I can talk until I'm blue in the face. Say, look, it was arbitrary. Look,
00:44:22.420 the masks. Look, the distance. Look, the, the, doesn't matter. They're going to keep it up.
00:44:28.080 They're not going to abide by the policies themselves, especially if they're feeling the
00:44:31.640 spirit. But they are going to force you to abide by all of these policies. The left is very persistent.
00:44:37.740 You know, there, there are bans in certain parts of this country now on critical race theory in
00:44:42.160 schools. That's great. I love that. I think we got to kick it out of schools. There's three views on
00:44:46.320 this. There's the leftist view, which is indoctrinate kids into critical race theory. There's the
00:44:50.440 libertarian view, which is, you know, just do whatever and do whatever you want. And it's
00:44:53.980 kind of up to you. And I don't want to impose my views on you. And it's a free marketplace of
00:44:57.800 ideas, right? And then there's the conservative view, which is no, this stuff is poison. It
00:45:01.100 undermines students' education. Kick it out and fire the teachers who push it. So there's an Iowa
00:45:05.720 teacher who is very frustrated by the CRT ban. And now she's bragging about the ways that she circumvents
00:45:11.740 it. I said, but we also need to take a look at HF 802. And I literally put the law in front of
00:45:16.600 them, gave them access to it with a link. And I said, and I need to just let you know
00:45:19.940 there are now concepts that it is illegal for me to teach you about, according to the
00:45:24.580 state of Iowa. And we went through, they used to be called defined concept or divisive
00:45:29.000 concepts. Now they're called defined concepts in our law. So I went through those 10 defined
00:45:33.200 concepts with them so that they could see what the law was. And they immediately, by the
00:45:37.420 time I think we were on the second or third one, they're like, but is it illegal for me
00:45:40.080 to ask questions? Can I? And I was like, this is only for me. You can ask as many questions
00:45:45.520 as you like. And then I took them to the part of the law that said, this law doesn't prohibit
00:45:49.600 me from answering questions. I said, so if there's any question that you have about these
00:45:54.200 defined concepts, you can ask them and then I can answer them. So I said, so let's just
00:45:59.860 take another minute. What questions do you have that you want me to build this course around
00:46:03.800 and take some time to answer? And the questions after going through HF 802 were so much more
00:46:09.060 pointed. Like one of them straight up was a sticky note that says, is the United States
00:46:12.720 systemically racist? And I was like, well, that would be a fascinating conversation that now
00:46:16.860 we can have because you've asked. Well, wow. Isn't she clever? She's so clever. She's
00:46:22.740 going to, cause the law, like the, the people, let me just, I'll take you through. She probably
00:46:28.020 hasn't seen Schoolhouse Rock in a while. The people voted for their representatives and the
00:46:32.400 people fund the government, including the public schools and pay that woman's salary. And
00:46:36.720 then the people said, you know, we don't want you teaching our kids that white people are
00:46:40.240 horrible and racist and irredeemable. We don't, we don't think that's good. We don't think
00:46:44.380 it's true. And we don't think it's good to teach a kid that, and we think you're a psycho
00:46:49.180 and we don't want you doing that. So they pass a law through their constitutional order.
00:46:55.700 And then this teacher says, thank you. Oh, thank you for that salary. That's good. Thank
00:46:59.400 you for your, that paycheck. I'm going to put that over here. And you know, I love our democracy.
00:47:03.380 Our democracy is so great. And now I'm going to completely disregard the law. And I'm going
00:47:08.140 to continue to teach kids that white people are evil and America is a terrible place. She
00:47:12.340 just admits it there. She goes, is America systemically racist? Well, you know, I'm,
00:47:17.040 the law says I'm not allowed to tell you that it is, but yeah, that's an interesting question.
00:47:21.360 And since you asked, since I impelled you to ask that question, now I'm going to tell
00:47:25.900 you it's terrible. America's terrible and white people are evil and everything's, and
00:47:29.640 you're the worst. And we all need to become like Haiti. And that's why we need to let the
00:47:34.200 hate, all the Haitians into America. Is that, am I following that? And you've got to mask
00:47:37.340 up unless you're feeling the spirit. If you are a Democrat mayor or a Hollywood celebrity,
00:47:41.720 but not you, because you, the people are evil. And I don't care what you tell me to do.
00:47:46.620 And I don't care what laws you pass. I am not beholden to your laws. Would you know an oligarchy

00:48:48.440 The media concocts an absurd narrative about border patrol agents on horseback whipping and
00:48:52.740 lassoing Haitian immigrants. Plus, Australia descends further and further into fascism.
00:48:56.660 And Facebook conducts its own research and discovers that social media is deeply harmful
00:49:00.360 to kids. It then did the responsible and ethical thing and immediately swept those findings under
00:49:04.380 the rug. We'll talk about all of that and much more today on The Matt Walsh Show.
