00:00:37.840 According to a new poll, 48% of Americans do not believe that Joe Biden is mentally sound enough to effectively serve as president,
00:00:46.100 which raises a very important question.
00:00:48.960 What are 52% of Americans thinking?
00:00:51.920 Are they not paying any attention?
00:00:53.400 Are they blind?
00:00:54.280 Are they deaf?
00:00:54.900 Are they just plain stupid?
00:00:56.980 Well, the joke's on us.
00:00:58.640 Because even though half the country believes that Joe Biden is basically a vegetable,
00:01:03.920 he and his associates will continue to run the show.
00:01:08.240 There's not nothing that we can do about it.
00:01:10.840 There actually are some key Republicans who are doing the right things.
00:01:14.520 But time is running out.
00:01:15.980 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:01:16.660 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:24.660 Welcome back to the show.
00:01:25.660 My favorite comment yesterday is from Zachary.
00:01:28.840 He must have known what I was going to talk about today because he wrote,
00:01:32.280 I'm not sure why everyone is taking orders from a person who is just above vegetable status.
00:01:36.500 Yes, I think a lot of people are thinking that.
00:01:38.600 I actually did not even see that comment by the time I wrote my show.
00:01:43.720 But a lot of people are thinking it.
00:01:45.140 About half the country is thinking it.
00:01:46.980 And I think there is an answer to that, by the way, which is that Biden and his associates and
00:01:52.980 the broader liberal regime is just convincing everyone that their rule is inevitable, that
00:02:00.580 there's no choice, that even if a vegetable is at the top of the heap, their rule, their
00:02:06.120 priorities are what is going to happen.
00:02:09.260 You know, it's enough to give you a headache.
00:02:13.140 It's enough to make you want some relief, which is why I would check out Relief Band.
00:02:16.660 If you regularly suffer from car sickness or nausea, you have got to check out Relief Band.
00:02:22.120 Relief Band is the number one FDA-cleared anti-nausea wristband that has been clinically proven to
00:02:30.040 quickly relieve and effectively prevent nausea and vomiting that's associated with motion
00:02:34.360 sickness, anxiety, chemotherapy, morning sickness, hangovers, I mean a whole variety.
00:02:41.960 It's an amazing product.
00:02:43.320 The way that it works, because I was a little skeptical of it, it stimulates a nerve in your
00:02:47.000 wrist that travels to the part of the brain that controls nausea and then it blocks the
00:02:50.940 signal that your brain is sending to your stomach telling you to feel sick.
00:02:53.840 So it's 100% drug-free.
00:02:55.480 It's non-drowsy.
00:02:56.200 It's all-natural, long-lasting relief with zero side effects.
00:03:00.020 You may have tried some cheap imitator in the past.
00:03:02.620 You know, you pick up something for 10 or 15 bucks at the drugstore.
00:03:05.420 It doesn't work.
00:03:06.340 This is not that.
00:03:06.980 This is number one FDA-cleared, clinically proven to work.
00:03:09.480 As the world opens back up, do not let fear of nausea keep you on the sidelines.
00:03:13.080 Right now, Relief Band has an exclusive offer just for Michael Knowles.
00:03:16.500 Listeners, if you go to reliefband.com, use promo code Knowles, you will get 20% off.
00:03:21.780 You will also get free shipping.
00:03:23.440 You will also get a 30-day money-back guarantee.
00:03:26.700 That is R-E-L-I-E-F-B-A-N-D.com.
00:03:29.680 Promo code Knowles for 20% off plus free shipping.
00:03:33.160 So this poll, this is a Fox News poll, but I have no reason to think that it's not a reliable poll.
00:03:38.780 49% of Americans think that Biden has the mental soundness to serve.
00:03:43.060 48% say he does not.
00:03:45.580 And I don't know, I guess 3% of Americans were out making a sandwich or something.
00:03:49.440 They weren't paying attention to this.
00:03:50.480 This is really bad news for Biden, not just because half the country thinks he's a vegetable,
00:03:54.460 but because the numbers are getting worse for him.
00:03:57.240 So they were asked this question weeks before, and 49% again said, yes, he's fit to serve.
00:04:04.940 But 45%, only 45% said, no, he's not mentally fit enough to serve.
00:04:10.620 Now that number has jumped up to 48.
00:04:12.620 Number very likely will go higher.
00:04:14.720 The way that the liberal establishment is working around Joe Biden's obvious decline and unfitness
00:04:24.020 is not that they're defending Biden.
00:04:26.900 You'll notice they're not really defending Biden as much anymore.
00:04:29.300 Not that they're promoting Kamala Harris.
00:04:31.240 She's extremely unlikable.
00:04:32.440 So they're not trying that either.
00:04:33.940 What they are doing is they are trying to present the Biden rule,
00:04:38.160 and Biden is just a stand-in for the broader liberal rule, as inevitable.
00:04:43.560 So this is from the AP.
00:04:45.080 This is the Associated Press.
00:04:47.140 An AP reporter, John Lemire, tweets out, quote,
00:04:49.540 The Pentagon admitted that its errant drone strike,
00:04:52.700 or admitted its errant drone strike, the one that killed 10 people, including seven kids.
00:04:56.940 COVID boosters did not get full approval.
00:04:59.340 France recalled its ambassador.
00:05:00.880 The punishing headlines, all within an hour, underscored the perils for a president
00:05:06.380 from uncontrollable events that can define a term.
00:05:12.640 Uncontrollable events.
00:05:15.400 These all seem very controllable to me.
00:05:19.940 The drone strike that did not kill a terrorist,
00:05:24.060 but instead killed an aid worker and two adult members of his family and seven kids,
00:05:28.720 was not uncontrollable.
00:05:30.300 It didn't just fall out of the sky on a meteor or a meteorite.
00:05:35.020 Someone pushed the button, and someone gave the order,
00:05:37.400 and someone authorized the military to give this order.
00:05:40.640 That was controllable.
00:05:41.980 COVID boosters did not get full approval.
00:05:43.960 This also was controllable.
00:05:45.700 The messaging confusion on coronavirus was extremely controllable.
00:05:50.120 Going all the way back to the masks don't work.
00:05:53.140 Yes, the masks work.
00:05:54.160 We're not going to get a vaccine.
00:05:55.260 We did get a vaccine.
00:05:56.520 The vaccine's very effective, but actually the vaccine's not effective enough,
00:05:59.540 so you need a booster.
00:06:00.660 The vaccine is extremely safe, but actually the vaccine's not safe enough to get approval
00:06:04.020 for the booster.
00:06:04.840 All of that was controllable if you didn't lie and mislead people and get out ahead of your story.
00:06:10.460 And then France recalling its ambassador.
00:06:12.320 France recalled its ambassador because the United States struck a deal with the United Kingdom
00:06:15.980 and Australia and excluded France from the deal to counter the rise of China.
00:06:20.860 If we had just involved France in that decision or made some way to mitigate the fallout when we
00:06:25.340 didn't include France in that decision, that would have been controllable too.
00:06:28.380 But the liberal regime is incompetent sometimes and malicious at other times, and now they're
00:06:35.400 getting pushback for that, and now they're trying to pretend that it's uncontrollable.
00:06:39.400 It is very controllable.
00:06:40.400 By the way, worth pointing out, that's from the Associated Press.
00:06:42.860 When you look at those ridiculous charts of the reliable news sites, and these are not reliable
00:06:48.280 down at the bottom of the pyramid, but the ones at the top are much more reliable.
00:06:51.700 AP is at the very tippy top, and the AP is shilling for the regime.
00:07:00.200 Now getting to the very first thing they point out here, the Pentagon's drone strike, Joe Biden,
00:07:06.300 he doesn't come out and address any of this.
00:07:07.660 He probably can't, but his spokesman does.
00:07:09.340 Jen Psaki comes out and in true Biden fashion makes the drone strike that killed 10 people,
00:07:15.500 including seven kids, entirely about him.
00:07:18.200 Following up on the drone strike last week that the Pentagon now omits was a tragic mistake.
00:07:25.040 What was the president's response when he learned about that?
00:07:28.620 Well, the president was briefed on Friday morning about the report that was going to be released
00:07:37.580 and put out.
00:07:38.580 I would say first the president's view, and all of our view, is that the loss of any civilian
00:07:42.960 life is a tragedy, as was made clear in the comments by the Secretary of Defense, by General
00:07:51.060 McKenzie, this was done in error, and clearly the investigation that will continue is something
00:07:57.500 the president broadly supports.
00:07:59.420 So as a human being, as a president, as somebody who has overseen loss in a variety of scenarios,
00:08:06.680 both as a leader and personally, it is, his reaction is it's a tragedy, and every loss
00:08:11.820 is a tragedy, and he supports the efforts to, the effort to move this forward as quickly
00:08:15.560 as possible and to have a thorough investigation.
00:08:18.400 How dare you?
00:08:20.400 How dare you ask Joe Biden why he droned that family with seven kids?
00:08:25.560 How dare, he, he has experienced loss too.
00:08:30.480 Don't, maybe we could have a little sympathy or a little empathy here, okay?
00:08:34.980 Not for the family that was zapped out of the, from the sky, but, but for Joe Biden,
00:08:40.020 because he's experienced loss.
00:08:41.140 He does this a lot.
00:08:42.600 And the thing is, Joe Biden actually has experienced loss, right?
00:08:45.140 His wife was killed in a car crash, and his son died of cancer, and it's, the man has actually
00:08:51.500 had a difficult life, and, you know, one would have a great deal of sympathy for him, except
00:08:59.080 that he trots this out all the time.
00:09:01.140 He exploits these deaths and losses for political gain.
00:09:07.180 And it's, it's unseemly, maybe he's doing it out of a place of genuine brokenness and,
00:09:11.920 and sorrow, and it could be.
00:09:14.540 Maybe he's doing this for political effect.
00:09:16.920 He did, because, the reason I think it's the latter is because his wife was killed by a
00:09:21.980 driver.
00:09:22.880 The driver, you know, there were a lot of tests done, there was an investigation.
00:09:27.020 The driver just had an accident.
00:09:29.260 It's not like he was drunk.
00:09:30.320 It's not like he was on drugs.
00:09:31.420 It was just a tragic accident.
00:09:33.320 And Joe Biden acknowledged this, and it really haunted the guy his whole life.
00:09:35.840 Then the minute the guy died, Joe Biden started saying out of nowhere that he was drunk, started
00:09:40.780 smearing him as drunk on the campaign trail.
00:09:42.740 It was just a vicious lie about the guy.
00:09:44.380 It really hurt his family.
00:09:45.720 It was, it was obviously not true.
00:09:47.580 So, I, I think it was the latter.
00:09:49.660 And this is typical of, of Joe Biden.
00:09:53.340 So, I don't, he's, it just shows you the desperation on his part for any sort of sympathy
00:09:59.700 whatsoever, because he's in a really bad spot politically.
00:10:02.640 But the regime broadly is not in a bad spot.
00:10:05.360 They are still pretty firmly entrenched in power.
00:10:09.560 Now, the question is, in 2024, who replaces Joe Biden?
00:10:13.380 If the Republicans do win, who is the president going to be?
00:10:17.660 There is a new poll that just came out, nearly 58% of Republicans, nearly 6 in 10, would nominate
00:10:27.840 Donald Trump again.
00:10:29.700 Trump is absolutely dominating the Republican presidential field.
00:10:35.080 Number two, this was a little surprising to me, Mike Pence.
00:10:38.420 Mike Pence comes in second with 13%.
00:10:40.760 Ron DeSantis comes in third with only 9%.
00:10:44.020 We're talking about Ron DeSantis as though he's the Republican nominee.
00:10:46.220 He's only got 9% support.
00:10:48.520 Rubio and Nikki Haley both have about 3%.
00:10:51.440 Now, the question shifts when you take Trump out of the field.
00:10:56.720 So, if Trump is not in the field, the numbers are very different.
00:11:00.340 Pence comes in on top with 32% support.
00:11:03.820 Ron DeSantis with 20% support.
00:11:06.420 Ted Cruz with 14% support.
00:11:08.860 The rest, I think, are, you know, a little bit too low to care about right now.
00:11:13.100 So, what does this mean?
00:11:14.780 It means, one, Donald Trump is still considered to be the strongest Republican.
00:11:20.700 He's the one who is punching back against not just the liberal establishment, but his own
00:11:26.180 establishment, which is a pretty amazing thing that the Republicans still support him.
00:11:31.580 Six out of 10 Republicans still support him.
00:11:33.660 But I think it also shows you that the people who are ready to just crown Ron DeSantis right now, DeSantis is doing a great job.
00:11:41.000 I don't mean to speak ill of what he's doing in Florida, but the people who are willing to crown him, I think, are getting ahead of themselves.
00:11:48.940 There is still a long way to go.
00:11:51.420 Now, one last poll before we get to why the polls don't mean anything at all.
00:11:55.240 Right now in Virginia, there's a race that seemed competitive.
00:11:58.900 It used to seem competitive.
00:12:00.420 Now it seems less competitive.
00:12:01.740 This is Terry McAuliffe, the Democrat versus Glenn Youngkin.
00:12:05.660 There was a poll done by the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University.
00:12:10.840 43% of likely voters are supporting McAuliffe.
00:12:15.100 That's nine points higher than the 34% who support Youngkin.
00:12:18.320 This means that McAuliffe is increasing his lead over Youngkin.
00:12:22.100 I pointed this out after the debate where the Republican Glenn Youngkin came out.
00:12:26.300 He was asked about the Texas abortion law, and he criticized the Texas abortion law,
00:12:30.780 and he tried to pretend that he was going to be a more moderate, squishy type of guy.
00:12:33.800 I said that was a bad answer because you didn't pick up any lib votes,
00:12:37.960 but you irritated a lot of conservatives who may not be motivated to vote for you now,
00:12:42.060 especially in a state that people considered Democrat.
00:12:44.520 That would seem to be playing out right now.
00:12:47.540 Do not squish.
00:12:48.820 Squishing is a bad idea.
00:12:51.180 But the thing is, despite all of these polls,
00:12:54.040 that's only one aspect of the political problem for Republicans.
00:12:56.940 The broader one is that the liberal establishment has tightened its grip on power
00:12:59.980 and very likely will not let us win in the future.
00:13:03.980 When you want to protect yourself against all these sorts of things,
00:13:07.960 and against burglars, and against in-laws,
00:13:09.880 I would recommend you check out Ring.
00:13:12.080 Sometimes I go on the road.
00:13:13.920 Sometimes I visit different colleges and speak at different places,
00:13:16.920 like I'm doing right now.
00:13:18.200 And when I am on the road, I can have peace of mind because of Ring Alarm.
00:13:22.900 The Ring Alarm security system just gives you so much ease.
00:13:27.160 You all know about the video doorbells,
00:13:30.180 where you can see and speak to whoever is at your door,
00:13:31.880 whether it's the delivery guy, or the pizza guy, or your mother-in-law,
00:13:34.300 and you can calibrate your response accordingly.
00:13:37.000 But you can also keep an eye on every corner of your home, outdoors, indoors,
00:13:43.620 and you can control that all from a very simple app.
00:13:46.640 It's great.
00:13:47.100 It just makes me feel good to know that sweet little Elisa and cute little baby June are safe,
00:13:51.920 whether I'm in the house, whether I am outside of the house.
00:13:54.920 It makes a great housewarming gift because it's top-tier technology and not very expensive,
00:13:59.280 so you get good credit for a good gift.
00:14:00.940 You won't have to spend a lot.
00:14:02.080 Protect your home anytime from anywhere with Ring Alarm.
00:14:04.260 Go to ring.com slash Knowles for a special offer on a Ring Alarm security kit today.
00:14:09.720 Build a system that's right for your home.
00:14:11.380 Have it up and running in minutes.
00:14:12.560 That is ring.com slash Knowles.
00:14:14.640 Ring.com slash Knowles.
00:14:17.560 We all talk about the horse race and, well, this candidate said this,
00:14:21.380 and this candidate did this, and, well, this will appeal to voters,
00:14:23.920 and this will appeal to the suburban women, and this will—
00:14:26.200 And you're kind of missing the broader point here on how our elections are conducted,
00:14:31.200 which is that there are other forces at play beyond public opinion.
00:14:36.360 You saw this with some of the election rules that were passed or just implemented without being legal in 2020.
00:14:45.140 The libs putting their thumb on the scales of the election, saying,
00:14:50.480 oh, okay, yeah, well, you can campaign all you want,
00:14:53.060 but we're going to institute widespread mail-in ballots without any voter ID.
00:14:57.460 We're going to institute motor voter laws.
00:14:59.780 We're going to institute ballot harvesting.
00:15:02.580 We're going to continue counting the votes for days and days and weeks and weeks.
00:15:06.560 Why are we doing that?
00:15:07.120 I don't know.
00:15:07.380 We're going to do this, that, and the other thing to tilt the election in our favor.
00:15:12.020 And even that, the election, the specific election frog stuff, even that is just one aspect.
00:15:17.520 There's another aspect, which is that the people who control the flow of information,
00:15:21.920 the people who control the public square,
00:15:24.040 are not going to allow Republicans too much freedom to make their case.
00:15:30.900 There's a candidate right now for governor of Michigan, Garrett Soldano.
00:15:34.880 He's a primary candidate to be the next governor.
00:15:38.220 He has been permanently blacklisted from YouTube, YouTube owned by Google.
00:15:44.760 This is according to reports.
00:15:46.900 So this guy is running for governor of Michigan,
00:15:49.400 but he can't present his message on the largest video platform in the world.
00:15:55.280 He can't run ads on the largest video platform in the world,
00:15:58.880 owned by the most powerful company basically ever in the history of the world,
00:16:02.920 that has more information on you and can not only predict your behavior,
00:16:07.340 but impel your behavior in a way that no other company has ever been able to do.
00:16:10.840 A company that has extremely close ties to the federal government,
00:16:14.660 that has taken money from the federal government,
00:16:16.400 that gives information to the federal government,
00:16:18.200 that shares a lot of employees with the federal government.
00:16:21.160 They are now saying, no, that Republican, nope, poof, and he's gone.
00:16:26.340 Google did this a little while ago to Rand Paul.
00:16:32.080 Rand Paul, sitting United States Senator.
00:16:35.100 YouTube censored a video of him speaking on the floor of the Senate.
00:16:40.400 We think that our government is ruled by the executive in the White House
00:16:45.480 and the judges at the Supreme Court
00:16:47.620 and the House members in the lower chamber
00:16:50.620 and the senators in the upper chamber of the legislature.
00:16:52.860 And that's just not true.
00:16:55.760 If that were true,
00:16:57.100 that would be the place with the greatest political breadth,
00:17:00.520 the greatest freedom of speech and freedom of whatever.
00:17:03.740 But it's not.
00:17:05.500 Because then there's Google.
00:17:07.800 And Google can decide,
00:17:09.340 if it likes what people are saying on the floor of the Senate,
00:17:11.580 it will permit that to be broadcast into the public square.
00:17:14.640 And if it doesn't, you know, if it's Rand Paul saying something,
00:17:18.000 then they're just going to disappear it
00:17:19.620 and you're not going to see it.
00:17:20.500 And that's that.
00:17:22.580 Poof.
00:17:23.460 See ya.
00:17:23.980 In both of these cases, by the way,
00:17:25.600 it's because these gentlemen said things
00:17:27.080 that contradicted the liberal regime's COVID policies.
00:17:30.160 The COVID policies, of course,
00:17:31.420 are now not just one aspect of their broader agenda.
00:17:34.640 It is the agenda.
00:17:36.320 The COVID lockdowns are everything.
00:17:38.700 The COVID regulations now will regulate the way that we travel,
00:17:45.740 the way we go to school,
00:17:46.640 the way we go to work,
00:17:47.500 the way we buy things,
00:17:48.760 the way we speak,
00:17:49.960 the way we dress,
00:17:51.540 the way we have our medical care,
00:17:54.260 the way we relate our medical information.
00:17:56.680 It touches everything.
00:17:58.420 It touches everything in the whole country.
00:18:01.660 And so,
00:18:02.500 if a Republican senator or a governor candidate,
00:18:05.520 humanitarian candidate,
00:18:06.640 in any way criticize the way that the liberal regime is governing everything,
00:18:11.920 well, the regime might just say,
00:18:15.000 poof,
00:18:16.060 you're gone.
00:18:17.240 This is something that the left has been working on for a long time.
00:18:21.600 This is a strategy that the left has been honing and perfecting
00:18:24.820 for the better part of 100 years
00:18:26.580 through certainly the progressivism of Woodrow Wilson,
00:18:30.420 then it gets implemented by FDR.
00:18:32.440 But I think you see it really start to hit its stride with global warming.
00:18:36.980 Global warming has all of the same characteristics that we're seeing with the COVID regulations.
00:18:43.720 The time is running out.
00:18:44.920 We have to suspend the normal way our society runs.
00:18:47.620 You have to give us a ton more power.
00:18:49.680 You have to let us regulate every aspect of your life.
00:18:52.500 It's urgent.
00:18:53.380 You'll die if we don't.
00:18:54.440 It's for public health.
00:18:55.200 If you question us,
00:18:55.940 you're a murderer.
00:18:56.600 It's all the same stuff.
00:18:58.200 They've been more effective with COVID
00:18:59.700 because people are more afraid of germs than they are of the sun monster.
00:19:02.900 But it's the exact same strategy.
00:19:04.300 And so Joe Biden now, speaking at the United Nations,
00:19:08.300 doesn't want to put all of his eggs in the COVID basket.
00:19:10.920 He also wants to put some of them in the sun monster basket.
00:19:14.280 This year has also brought widespread death and devastation
00:19:17.680 from the borderless climate crisis.
00:19:22.260 The extreme weather events that we have seen in every part of the world,
00:19:26.560 and you all know it and feel it,
00:19:28.680 represent what the Secretary General has rightly called
00:19:31.280 Code Red for Humanity.
00:19:34.580 And the scientists and experts are telling us
00:19:38.200 that we're fast approaching a point of no return in a literal sense.
00:19:44.200 To keep within our reach the vital goal of limiting global warming
00:19:49.000 to 1.5 degrees Celsius,
00:19:52.100 every nation needs to bring their highest possible ambitions to the table
00:19:56.800 when we meet in Glasgow for COP26.
00:20:01.520 The point of no return in the literal sense,
00:20:04.680 not the figurative sense, in the literal sense.
00:20:06.820 Of course, he is describing the figurative sense.
00:20:08.920 He doesn't mean that we're getting,
00:20:09.960 it's not, we're not getting to some geographic location
00:20:12.060 where you can't turn around anymore.
00:20:13.940 But again, Joe Biden, not a whole lot going on between the ears.
00:20:17.860 My question is,
00:20:21.360 when do we get to that point?
00:20:25.140 When do we get to the point of no return?
00:20:28.380 That's the fear.
00:20:30.160 It's a code red.
00:20:32.040 We're now so close to a point where
00:20:36.500 any of our efforts to mitigate global warming will do nothing.
00:20:40.640 They'll be to no avail if we get to this point of no return.
00:20:43.520 So we've got to do everything now.
00:20:46.700 When's the point?
00:20:48.600 Tell me when, give me a date for the point.
00:20:51.300 Because then once we get to that point,
00:20:52.720 I don't want to hear it anymore.
00:20:53.980 I don't want to hear about how we have to do this and we have to,
00:20:56.240 you just told me it's the point of no return.
00:20:58.940 So let's live it up, buddy.
00:21:01.340 Now, he's not going to give you a date.
00:21:03.600 And if he does give you a date,
00:21:04.820 he's going to downplay that date
00:21:05.860 and everyone's going to forget about that date
00:21:07.240 because they've given us that date before.
00:21:09.120 They've been doing this for decades.
00:21:11.480 1989, Noel Brown, environmentalist
00:21:13.780 who was associated with the United Nations,
00:21:16.260 said that entire nations could be wiped off
00:21:20.900 the face of the earth by rising sea levels
00:21:23.040 if global warming is not reversed by the year 2000.
00:21:26.480 Okay, so at least that's a specific time, right?
00:21:30.600 He says in 1989,
00:21:32.200 if in 11 years we have not reversed global warming,
00:21:35.280 entire nations are going to be wiped off the earth.
00:21:37.680 The year 2000 came.
00:21:38.740 I guess we didn't reverse global warming.
00:21:40.280 We're still talking about it.
00:21:41.200 So, okay, it's over.
00:21:42.560 It's over.
00:21:43.320 We've reached the point of no return.
00:21:44.880 So shut up about it.
00:21:46.680 But they don't shut up about it.
00:21:48.180 The year 2000, David Viner,
00:21:49.520 British climate scientist says,
00:21:51.820 children just aren't going to know what snow is.
00:21:54.060 We're really going to get caught out.
00:21:56.420 Snow will probably cause chaos in 20 years' time
00:21:58.700 because people aren't going to know what it is.
00:22:00.940 Here's just one headline from 2018,
00:22:04.360 you know, 18 years in.
00:22:05.620 London has been hit by a wall of snow
00:22:07.220 and a huge blizzard
00:22:08.000 as the UK is rocked by bone-chilling temperatures,
00:22:10.220 ice and wintry weather
00:22:11.000 from the beast from the east.
00:22:12.820 It goes on.
00:22:13.580 So people, I think children still know what snow is.
00:22:16.520 20 years on,
00:22:18.920 it's all still the same.
00:22:20.960 The predictions were completely wrong.
00:22:22.600 We didn't reach any point of no return.
00:22:24.140 2008, the Forum for the Future says,
00:22:25.840 refugees are expected to move to Antarctica
00:22:27.760 because of the rising temperatures
00:22:29.500 that will see the population of the continent
00:22:32.780 increase to 3.5 million people by 2040.
00:22:36.020 I think in many parts of Antarctica,
00:22:38.880 the temperature is something like
00:22:39.760 negative 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
00:22:42.120 And then the nicest,
00:22:43.400 the most temperate parts of Antarctica,
00:22:44.980 it's about 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
00:22:46.220 I don't think anyone is moving there,
00:22:48.680 building their home to set up their family
00:22:50.920 to live in Antarctica.
00:22:52.060 2009, here we go.
00:22:53.420 This is the stuff you hear.
00:22:54.660 UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown,
00:22:56.540 if we do not reach a deal at this time,
00:22:59.560 let us be in no doubt,
00:23:01.160 once the damage from unchecked emissions growth is done,
00:23:03.460 no retrospective global agreement
00:23:05.520 in some future period can undo that choice.
00:23:09.360 So we should never allow ourselves
00:23:10.760 to lose sight of the catastrophe we face
00:23:12.320 if present warming trends continue.
00:23:13.900 So there it is.
00:23:14.580 2009, if we don't strike a deal right now,
00:23:16.740 if we don't reverse global warming right now,
00:23:18.960 there is nothing that we can do in the future
00:23:20.780 to reverse it and undo it.
00:23:22.640 Okay, well, we didn't do it.
00:23:24.020 Didn't happen.
00:23:24.740 So it's over, right?
00:23:25.680 So shut up about it.
00:23:26.920 And then 2011, Prince Charles is my favorite one.
00:23:29.120 Prince Charles says that he had calculated
00:23:31.020 that we had just 96 months left to save the world.
00:23:35.320 96 months is eight years.
00:23:37.140 This was in 2011.
00:23:38.280 That would bring us to 2019,
00:23:40.200 when the world was over.
00:23:41.820 The world ended in 2019, nothing to do anymore.
00:23:45.560 That was two years ago.
00:23:46.880 Where are we?
00:23:48.180 Are we in Antarctica?
00:23:49.560 No, we're not.
00:23:50.040 Well, we're still just all throughout the world
00:23:52.780 and it's all just fine.
00:23:55.880 And they think we're stupid and we are stupid
00:23:58.040 because we don't pay attention to this.
00:24:01.020 If you do not pay attention,
00:24:05.180 if you do not notice that they keep shifting the goalposts,
00:24:08.740 if you do not see their transparent fear-mongering
00:24:11.600 for what it is,
00:24:12.460 then you deserve the rule of the regime
00:24:14.180 that you're currently living under.
00:24:16.320 Remember that they would tell us,
00:24:17.960 Donald Trump, his language is dark and divisive.
00:24:20.460 Dark and divisive.
00:24:21.120 Listen to the way Joe Biden's talking.
00:24:23.360 A cold, horrible death and destruction is coming.
00:24:27.020 And it's, but it's not.
00:24:28.460 But it's not.
00:24:28.920 No more than it always is
00:24:30.760 because this is a fallen world.
00:24:33.080 But if we do not,
00:24:34.280 if we do not see this for what it is,
00:24:36.620 we deserve the government that we have.
00:24:40.120 You know,
00:24:41.020 when you want to preserve your life,
00:24:44.280 at least your digital life,
00:24:45.220 I would strongly recommend you check out LifeLock.
00:24:47.500 People want your data.
00:24:49.920 They want your information.
00:24:51.400 And a lot of the time,
00:24:52.220 they don't want to do very good stuff with that information.
00:24:54.460 They will try to take your identity.
00:24:57.660 Payment apps like Venmo, Cash App,
00:24:59.500 and others make payments really easy.
00:25:01.800 But then if you may,
00:25:02.680 if you don't pay attention to your privacy settings,
00:25:05.000 some of them will share your personal information.
00:25:07.020 A recent report found that payment apps
00:25:08.580 share user data with third parties,
00:25:10.360 such as banks, fraud monitoring services.
00:25:12.820 Some even share it with marketing firms.
00:25:14.300 It's important to understand how cyber crime
00:25:16.060 and identity theft are affecting our lives.
00:25:19.300 Every single day,
00:25:20.340 we put our information at risk on the internet.
00:25:22.200 In an instant, a cyber criminal could harm what's yours,
00:25:25.380 your finances, your credit,
00:25:27.100 your good reputation.
00:25:28.140 Good thing there is LifeLock,
00:25:29.420 which detects a wide range of identity theft.

00:25:40.860 or monitor all transactions at all businesses,
00:25:42.820 but you can keep what's yours with LifeLock by Norton.

00:25:57.380 as the
00:25:58.060 COVIDistan government
00:26:00.440 is now in place,
00:26:02.280 as we are now ruled
00:26:04.040 through the whims
00:26:05.000 of the public health apparatchiks
00:26:07.520 who are trying to control
00:26:09.180 every aspect of our life,
00:26:10.300 including making us all
00:26:11.600 take that experimental drug
00:26:12.680 through your employer,
00:26:14.080 maybe you would like to stand with Daily Wire
00:26:16.200 as we say no,
00:26:17.220 as we say no to the Biden mandate,
00:26:18.580 as we say we will not comply,
00:26:19.960 head on over to DailyWire.com
00:26:21.140 slash subscribe,

00:26:25.860 We will be right back
00:26:26.620 with a lot more.
00:26:27.260 The question we started
00:26:41.060 this show with
00:26:41.820 is how are people
00:26:43.520 following orders
00:26:45.820 from a guy who seems to be
00:26:47.400 half a vegetable
00:26:48.320 at this point?
00:26:49.900 The answer to that is
00:26:51.480 because the regime
00:26:53.280 makes it seem inevitable.
00:26:54.900 And when I say the regime,
00:26:56.900 when I say the ruling class,
00:26:58.260 when I say the establishment,
00:26:59.220 I'm talking mostly about Democrats,
00:27:01.140 but a little bit about Republicans too.
00:27:03.340 There's a wonderful guy,
00:27:04.320 Angelo Cotevilla,
00:27:05.800 who is a Claremont scholar.
00:27:07.880 He was a foreign policy expert.
00:27:11.060 He had been a foreign service officer.
00:27:13.820 He had worked in Senate intelligence.
00:27:17.360 He's really one of the
00:27:19.160 most important minds on the right
00:27:21.600 for understanding
00:27:22.160 our current political moment.
00:27:23.340 And he is someone who
00:27:24.900 said that we're living
00:27:26.980 in an oligarchy,
00:27:27.760 that we were living in a republic,
00:27:28.920 but now we're living
00:27:29.560 in an oligarchy.
00:27:30.380 And coincidentally,
00:27:32.260 I gave a show yesterday
00:27:33.660 on this very point.
00:27:35.200 And coincidentally,
00:27:36.340 or however you want to see it,
00:27:37.920 very sadly,
00:27:38.560 Angelo Cotevilla was killed yesterday.
00:27:40.640 He was killed in a car accident.
00:27:42.760 And he was 78 years old,
00:27:44.140 but he was still publishing constantly.
00:27:46.120 And he had a whole lot more left in him.
00:27:49.760 But Angelo makes this point,
00:27:52.480 that we're now living
00:27:54.260 under this sort of oligarchic regime.
00:27:56.640 And in that,
00:27:57.020 it's not that the Republicans
00:27:57.900 and Democrats are exactly the same.
00:27:59.620 The Democrats are the senior partners.
00:28:02.400 Okay, they're the ones
00:28:02.940 who formed this regime,
00:28:04.880 first by Woodrow Wilson,
00:28:06.100 and then it was implemented
00:28:06.820 by Franklin Roosevelt.
00:28:08.240 But there are Republicans
00:28:09.260 who are the junior partners
00:28:10.300 who want to be part of the regime,
00:28:11.500 who want to be considered intelligent,
00:28:13.640 want to get invited to fancy parties.
00:28:15.540 This is the people
00:28:16.580 who are the court conservatives,
00:28:18.480 the people whose job it is,
00:28:19.800 basically just to legitimize
00:28:21.180 the liberal regime
00:28:21.900 by criticizing Republicans
00:28:23.580 at crucial moments.
00:28:25.180 And it's no surprise
00:28:26.040 that one of the outlets
00:28:27.920 that serves this purpose,
00:28:28.980 it's funded by Democrat money,
00:28:30.720 and it is run
00:28:31.800 by disaffected former Republicans
00:28:33.960 who all they want to do now
00:28:36.040 is suck up to the liberal regime.
00:28:38.300 It's a great testament
00:28:39.740 to Angelo Cotevilla
00:28:40.760 that yesterday when he died,
00:28:42.600 the bulwark celebrated his death.
00:28:44.320 That's a very fine tribute.
00:28:46.180 One of the finest tributes
00:28:47.200 that man could have gotten.
00:28:48.080 The way that they do this,
00:28:51.160 Democrat senior partners,
00:28:52.440 the Republican junior partners,
00:28:53.760 the liberal blob that extends
00:28:54.980 not just in the public sphere,
00:28:56.440 the government,
00:28:56.940 but also in the private sphere
00:28:58.400 like Google and all the rest of it,
00:29:01.080 is they make their rules
00:29:02.440 seem inevitable.
00:29:03.440 That was always the point,
00:29:04.620 that they understood
00:29:05.540 the science of politics.
00:29:07.140 This was the argument
00:29:08.080 of progressivism,
00:29:08.960 and so they're going to take
00:29:09.920 political power away
00:29:10.840 from the people.
00:29:11.600 They're going to give it
00:29:12.260 to technocratic experts,
00:29:13.640 to the scientists,
00:29:15.000 who understand the science
00:29:16.000 of history,
00:29:16.440 and the science of politics,
00:29:17.280 and the science of science,
00:29:18.440 and they are going to run
00:29:19.400 our lives for us.
00:29:21.080 So the way that they rule
00:29:22.900 is through a kind of determinism.
00:29:25.300 There's nothing you can do.
00:29:26.700 The tides of history
00:29:27.700 are always going to move
00:29:28.600 in this one direction.
00:29:29.440 That's why we're on the right
00:29:30.260 side of history.
00:29:31.180 They use all of this language.
00:29:32.620 And they don't just do it
00:29:33.520 on the microbes,
00:29:34.200 and they don't just do it
00:29:34.800 on the sun monster.
00:29:35.640 They do it on economic matters,
00:29:37.240 for instance, as well.
00:29:38.360 Chuck Schumer was just
00:29:39.860 defending his party's
00:29:42.440 last-ditch effort
00:29:43.560 to cram in an amnesty
00:29:45.080 for illegal aliens,
00:29:46.280 mass amnesty,
00:29:47.360 into their ridiculous
00:29:48.400 $3.5 trillion budget bill.
00:29:50.220 And the Senate parliamentarian
00:29:51.580 said,
00:29:51.860 you actually can't do that.
00:29:53.420 So Chuck Schumer
00:29:54.260 started out his diatribe
00:29:56.080 by blasting
00:29:56.920 the Senate parliamentarian.
00:29:58.220 And he explains why
00:29:59.660 the flood of illegal aliens
00:30:01.660 into our country
00:30:02.620 is necessary
00:30:04.760 and inevitable.
00:30:05.860 We're short of workers
00:30:07.640 from one end of America
00:30:08.700 to the other.
00:30:09.300 One of the reasons
00:30:10.060 the Trump administration
00:30:12.280 dramatically cut back
00:30:13.740 on immigrants
00:30:14.360 in this country.
00:30:16.500 We need them.
00:30:17.740 We need them
00:30:18.580 in our labor force.
00:30:19.900 We need them
00:30:20.520 to continue
00:30:21.180 American vitality.
00:30:22.940 We need them
00:30:23.620 because they're part
00:30:24.340 of the American dream.
00:30:26.260 It's estimated
00:30:27.200 in my city by some
00:30:28.440 that one-third
00:30:29.380 of the health care workers
00:30:30.420 at the height of COVID
00:30:31.480 who risked their lives
00:30:33.420 for us
00:30:34.020 were immigrants.
00:30:35.860 Having
00:30:38.700 a strong
00:30:42.160 law
00:30:44.340 that helps
00:30:45.220 our immigrants
00:30:45.860 is vital.
00:30:48.480 The American people
00:30:49.340 understand that
00:30:50.240 fixing our broken
00:30:51.140 immigration system
00:30:52.260 is a moral imperative
00:30:53.880 and an economic imperative.
00:30:56.340 Immigration reform
00:30:57.540 has been
00:30:58.480 one of the most
00:30:59.500 important causes
00:31:00.440 of my time
00:31:01.180 in the Senate
00:31:01.680 and I will not stop
00:31:03.120 fighting to achieve it.
00:31:04.560 It is one of the
00:31:06.100 most important causes
00:31:06.880 to Chuck Schumer
00:31:07.580 because he believes
00:31:09.360 that it will give him
00:31:09.960 a permanent majority.
00:31:11.200 So that's why
00:31:11.540 he's trying to give
00:31:12.040 mass amnesty
00:31:12.640 to people
00:31:13.000 who statistically
00:31:13.620 are much more likely
00:31:14.360 to side with Democrats.
00:31:15.660 But do you hear
00:31:16.440 his argument
00:31:17.580 beyond the typical
00:31:19.800 the health care workers
00:31:21.140 they're the immigrants
00:31:22.060 are the greatest people
00:31:23.000 in the whole world
00:31:23.780 and they never do
00:31:24.840 anything bad
00:31:25.340 and they only do
00:31:25.840 things that are good
00:31:26.460 and how dare you
00:31:27.120 not give them
00:31:27.840 amnesty
00:31:28.620 even though the first act
00:31:29.940 they did in our country
00:31:30.600 was break our laws
00:31:31.420 some of our most basic laws.
00:31:32.440 So what Chuck Schumer
00:31:34.100 does here
00:31:34.600 is beyond the typical
00:31:36.760 political sentimental stuff
00:31:38.960 he says
00:31:40.040 this is
00:31:40.940 inevitable
00:31:42.080 it's predetermined
00:31:43.220 we need it
00:31:44.000 we need
00:31:44.920 immigration
00:31:46.040 we even need
00:31:47.160 illegal immigration
00:31:48.080 because
00:31:49.060 that's the only way
00:31:51.060 to keep our economy running
00:31:52.020 he's saying look
00:31:52.460 we have a labor shortage
00:31:53.420 now
00:31:54.660 why do we have a labor
00:31:55.620 we do kind of have a labor shortage
00:31:56.800 we have a labor shortage
00:31:57.500 in part because Democrats
00:31:58.540 are paying Americans
00:31:59.480 to stay home
00:32:00.060 so we have a largely contrived
00:32:02.880 constructed
00:32:03.640 intentional labor shortage
00:32:05.620 but even before COVID
00:32:07.040 they were still making
00:32:08.060 these arguments
00:32:08.480 before COVID
00:32:08.980 why were they making
00:32:09.600 these arguments
00:32:10.120 they were making
00:32:11.380 these arguments
00:32:12.060 because they would say
00:32:13.180 look
00:32:13.440 we need
00:32:15.640 the immigrants
00:32:17.180 to come in
00:32:17.940 to do these jobs
00:32:19.620 because Americans
00:32:20.740 are not having babies
00:32:21.580 right
00:32:22.240 we are not replacing
00:32:23.300 ourselves in this country
00:32:24.080 the birth rates
00:32:24.600 are plummeting
00:32:25.560 the only way
00:32:26.160 to keep our economy going
00:32:27.080 is to flood the country
00:32:28.140 with immigrants
00:32:28.640 so why are Americans
00:32:29.840 not having babies
00:32:30.580 I'm sure there are
00:32:31.040 a number of reasons
00:32:31.620 but one of the reasons is
00:32:32.680 child care is very expensive
00:32:34.560 and Americans can no longer
00:32:36.200 support a family
00:32:36.900 on a single income
00:32:38.180 why is that the case
00:32:39.780 why is it so expensive
00:32:40.500 to have kids
00:32:41.200 well because
00:32:41.940 people aren't making
00:32:43.240 the same kinds of wages
00:32:44.180 that they used to make
00:32:45.100 relative to the rest
00:32:46.180 of the economy
00:32:46.740 why aren't they making
00:32:47.860 the same kinds of wages
00:32:48.600 they used to make
00:32:49.140 oh in no small part
00:32:50.020 because we're flooding
00:32:50.620 the country with immigrants
00:32:51.520 and when we're not flooding
00:32:52.560 the country with immigrants
00:32:53.320 or I suppose
00:32:53.700 in tandem with flooding
00:32:54.800 the country with immigrants
00:32:55.520 we're outsourcing
00:32:56.480 a lot of good jobs
00:32:57.440 also to boost up GDP
00:32:59.260 because we've got to boost up GDP
00:33:00.520 even though the gains
00:33:01.380 are going to go
00:33:01.800 disproportionately
00:33:02.420 to people who are
00:33:03.700 on the side of the regime
00:33:04.580 and the deplorable
00:33:05.220 irredeemable
00:33:05.900 working class Americans
00:33:06.920 are going to get
00:33:08.040 absolutely hosed
00:33:09.880 in the ensuing process
00:33:13.380 do you see
00:33:14.800 the perversity of this
00:33:16.140 the illegal immigration
00:33:19.760 is inevitable
00:33:20.520 and necessary
00:33:21.240 because
00:33:22.540 of the situation
00:33:25.060 that we ourselves
00:33:25.940 constructed
00:33:26.600 but we set up
00:33:28.180 the system
00:33:28.840 to flood the country
00:33:29.680 with the immigrants
00:33:30.520 it's this feedback cycle
00:33:31.900 and no one is allowed
00:33:33.180 to say boo about
00:33:34.000 hey
00:33:34.320 don't flood the country
00:33:36.940 with a lot of low
00:33:37.820 low skilled labor
00:33:38.880 that's going to
00:33:39.580 lower American wages
00:33:41.120 just don't do it
00:33:42.240 you have a labor shortage
00:33:43.460 bump up wages
00:33:44.660 how about that
00:33:45.660 don't
00:33:47.120 outsource
00:33:47.960 but we have
00:33:48.640 we have to flood the country
00:33:49.940 with cheap labor
00:33:50.700 no you don't
00:33:52.020 no you don't
00:33:52.800 but the economists
00:33:53.900 tell me we have to
00:33:54.920 well I don't care
00:33:55.520 what the economists say
00:33:56.400 but the experts
00:33:57.780 the experts say
00:33:59.100 that we have to
00:33:59.640 I don't care
00:34:00.080 what the experts say
00:34:00.840 I care what we
00:34:02.220 the people say
00:34:02.760 because I think
00:34:03.940 we still have
00:34:04.380 self-government
00:34:04.900 don't we
00:34:05.240 maybe we don't
00:34:06.820 we did have
00:34:07.380 self-government
00:34:08.120 before we transformed
00:34:08.880 from a republic
00:34:09.640 increasingly into
00:34:11.380 an oligarchy
00:34:11.940 but I think
00:34:12.940 there's still
00:34:13.320 a little glimmer
00:34:13.800 of hope left
00:34:14.440 and I don't want
00:34:15.440 to hear a word
00:34:15.900 from I don't want
00:34:16.400 to hear boo
00:34:16.780 from the experts
00:34:17.480 and you know what
00:34:18.620 I don't want you
00:34:19.200 outsourcing our jobs
00:34:20.240 to China either
00:34:21.000 but Michael
00:34:22.500 Michael
00:34:23.340 the experts say
00:34:24.500 that we
00:34:24.780 there's no way
00:34:25.980 I actually
00:34:26.560 I spoke to a conservative
00:34:27.600 some years ago
00:34:28.180 I said Michael
00:34:29.020 which party do you think
00:34:30.300 is going to bring
00:34:30.720 the jobs back
00:34:31.280 from China
00:34:31.660 I said I don't know
00:34:33.740 I mean I guess
00:34:34.140 the republicans
00:34:34.620 we said wrong answer
00:34:35.700 the jobs are not
00:34:36.380 coming back
00:34:36.800 they can't come back
00:34:37.600 there's no way
00:34:38.200 they can come back
00:34:39.020 it's inevitable
00:34:40.060 it's not inevitable
00:34:41.060 it's not inevitable
00:34:42.700 Trump
00:34:44.280 who you know
00:34:45.420 was less effective
00:34:46.220 than we all hoped
00:34:47.480 he would be
00:34:48.000 he brought some
00:34:49.120 manufacturing jobs back
00:34:50.060 it's not
00:34:50.500 it's not inevitable
00:34:52.280 it's such a
00:34:53.880 it's such a farce
00:34:55.000 it's such a
00:34:55.600 it's such an op
00:34:57.680 to use
00:34:58.400 in honor of
00:34:59.700 Angelo Cotevilla
00:35:00.380 I'll use terms
00:35:01.060 from the Claremont
00:35:01.700 people today
00:35:02.280 it's an op
00:35:02.720 it's just a political
00:35:03.720 operation
00:35:04.320 look at what
00:35:06.960 AOC is doing
00:35:07.620 right now
00:35:07.940 remember AOC
00:35:08.520 wore that dress
00:35:09.120 the other day
00:35:09.640 but AOC
00:35:11.500 was
00:35:12.380 showing up
00:35:13.860 to the Met Gala
00:35:14.480 the fanciest event
00:35:15.300 of the year
00:35:15.700 and she shows up
00:35:16.620 with all her fancy friends
00:35:17.660 $35,000 a ticket
00:35:18.880 and she wears a dress
00:35:19.580 that says
00:35:19.900 tax the rich
00:35:20.620 ooh
00:35:21.480 ooh
00:35:22.540 spicy
00:35:23.020 she's a radical
00:35:24.420 ooh gosh
00:35:25.160 right
00:35:25.380 except she's not
00:35:25.960 she's a tool
00:35:26.460 of the plutocratic
00:35:27.300 neoliberal oligarchy
00:35:28.580 and she's sort of
00:35:30.120 she's one of their
00:35:31.040 little gestures
00:35:31.520 on the left
00:35:32.140 and then they've got
00:35:32.920 their little gestures
00:35:33.500 on the right
00:35:34.060 like the
00:35:34.780 you know
00:35:35.160 the people
00:35:35.520 whose magazines
00:35:36.200 they fund
00:35:36.700 and
00:35:37.700 and that's it
00:35:38.780 and then there's
00:35:39.140 the pretend opposition
00:35:40.160 but they continue
00:35:40.920 to rule
00:35:41.280 so AOC
00:35:42.040 is taking
00:35:42.500 one step further
00:35:43.420 she is now
00:35:44.980 she's now created
00:35:46.460 a line of
00:35:47.020 tax the rich products
00:35:48.300 she's now selling
00:35:49.660 tax the rich merch
00:35:50.920 on her website
00:35:52.000 you can get a sweatshirt
00:35:54.140 for the low low
00:35:55.320 proletarian price
00:35:56.360 of $58
00:35:57.060 you can get a t-shirt
00:35:59.280 for the
00:36:00.300 the really reasonable
00:36:01.580 $27
00:36:02.760 for a t-shirt
00:36:04.060 you can get a dad hat
00:36:05.800 I don't know what that is
00:36:06.540 for $28
00:36:07.040 I'm a dad
00:36:09.200 so I probably own some
00:36:09.980 you can get a sticker
00:36:11.020 oh stickers are only $10
00:36:12.160 a mug
00:36:13.900 for $27
00:36:14.880 and a tote bag
00:36:16.480 for $27
00:36:17.060 this is outrageous
00:36:19.280 if
00:36:20.620 if we're gonna tax
00:36:22.100 if we're gonna go
00:36:22.600 eat the rich
00:36:23.120 let's start with
00:36:23.960 the AOC
00:36:25.560 campaign merch fund
00:36:26.860 but it's all just
00:36:28.940 it highlights
00:36:30.380 in particular
00:36:31.460 what a farce
00:36:32.140 the whole thing is
00:36:32.880 yeah
00:36:33.740 stick it to the man
00:36:35.700 yeah
00:36:36.660 tax the rich
00:36:37.360 by giving me
00:36:37.900 $58
00:36:38.840 for a sweatshirt
00:36:40.420 yeah
00:36:40.780 that'll show them
00:36:41.540 yeah
00:36:41.920 yeah look
00:36:42.980 look
00:36:43.480 when I went to the
00:36:44.500 fancy party
00:36:45.040 with all my
00:36:45.500 extremely rich friends
00:36:46.540 masters of the universe
00:36:47.480 oligarchs
00:36:48.200 yeah I wore a dress
00:36:49.600 that
00:36:50.560 that kind of
00:36:52.560 you know
00:36:53.220 it's
00:36:53.600 it was subversive
00:36:54.580 wasn't it
00:36:55.240 and that's why
00:36:55.920 they all celebrated me
00:36:56.900 for it
00:36:57.280 and put me in magazines
00:36:58.440 because of how subversive
00:36:59.480 it was
00:36:59.860 and it's so subversive
00:37:01.120 I'm gonna sell it
00:37:01.640 for $58
00:37:02.080 is there a way
00:37:04.380 to fight back
00:37:04.820 I don't want to just
00:37:05.400 leave us on this really
00:37:06.240 down negative note
00:37:08.140 I
00:37:08.280 cause I
00:37:08.740 cause I'm not a
00:37:09.500 determinist either
00:37:10.320 I think that there actually
00:37:11.380 is still a way
00:37:12.140 to fight back
00:37:12.740 though like Joe Biden
00:37:13.980 with the sun monster
00:37:14.680 I do think time
00:37:15.360 is running out
00:37:15.980 I don't
00:37:17.720 I don't think
00:37:18.160 there's a point
00:37:18.600 of no return
00:37:19.340 but I think
00:37:19.740 there's a point
00:37:20.180 at which we might
00:37:20.740 have to suffer
00:37:21.200 through a thousand
00:37:21.700 years of darkness
00:37:22.340 before we can
00:37:23.020 you know
00:37:24.060 start to fight back
00:37:25.580 again
00:37:25.760 I don't think
00:37:26.400 we're there yet
00:37:26.900 either
00:37:27.200 so how do we
00:37:27.840 fight back
00:37:28.240 Ron DeSantis
00:37:29.060 in Florida
00:37:29.540 is actually
00:37:30.240 showing a way
00:37:31.040 Ron DeSantis
00:37:32.060 is showing a way
00:37:33.120 by playing
00:37:34.600 politics
00:37:35.720 the way
00:37:36.420 that politics
00:37:37.280 actually exists
00:37:38.320 not the way
00:37:39.080 that we pretend
00:37:39.600 it exists
00:37:40.180 in civics class
00:37:41.020 but the way
00:37:41.680 it actually exists
00:37:42.560 he's doing it
00:37:44.240 through one of his
00:37:44.940 appointments
00:37:45.340 through a public
00:37:46.080 health appointment
00:37:46.780 through the new
00:37:47.680 Surgeon General
00:37:48.360 of Florida
00:37:48.900 I'm pleased to be able
00:37:50.780 to be with you all
00:37:52.220 today to announce
00:37:53.240 that Dr. Joseph
00:37:55.260 Latipo will be
00:37:57.140 Surgeon General
00:37:57.980 for the state
00:37:58.540 of Florida
00:37:58.980 Dr. Latipo
00:38:00.820 comes with us
00:38:01.580 by way of the
00:38:02.500 David Geffen
00:38:03.140 School of Medicine
00:38:04.000 at UCLA
00:38:05.420 he graduated
00:38:06.680 from Wake Forest
00:38:07.540 and received
00:38:08.140 his medical degree
00:38:09.100 from Harvard
00:38:09.740 Medical School
00:38:10.460 and his PhD
00:38:11.720 in health policy
00:38:12.700 from Harvard
00:38:13.320 Graduate School
00:38:14.160 of Arts and Sciences
00:38:15.260 and his medical
00:38:16.220 board certifications
00:38:17.140 include internal
00:38:17.860 medicine
00:38:18.400 American Board
00:38:19.400 of Internal Medicine
00:38:20.200 in 2011
00:38:21.040 he comes to
00:38:22.560 Florida
00:38:23.180 with really
00:38:24.100 a superb
00:38:25.280 background
00:38:25.900 bringing superb
00:38:27.400 intellect
00:38:27.720 but also I think
00:38:29.080 will bring
00:38:29.780 great leadership
00:38:30.720 okay so
00:38:32.580 this is a little
00:38:33.980 strange for Ron
00:38:34.960 DeSantis
00:38:35.280 to be going
00:38:35.880 through this
00:38:36.320 litany
00:38:36.820 of all
00:38:37.620 the credentials
00:38:38.360 all of the
00:38:39.160 specifically
00:38:39.720 sort of
00:38:41.100 liberal regime
00:38:41.920 credentials
00:38:42.360 right
00:38:42.620 the Ivy League
00:38:43.260 School
00:38:43.580 and Harvard
00:38:44.060 Medical
00:38:44.480 and this
00:38:44.820 so why
00:38:45.540 is he doing
00:38:45.960 is he doing
00:38:46.420 it because
00:38:46.800 he believes
00:38:47.280 these things
00:38:47.700 are really
00:38:48.520 markers
00:38:49.000 of one's
00:38:50.120 greatness
00:38:50.600 and virtue
00:38:51.100 no
00:38:51.780 Republicans
00:38:52.840 especially
00:38:53.220 DeSantis
00:38:53.580 usually kind
00:38:54.120 of play
00:38:54.540 down all
00:38:54.940 that stuff
00:38:55.380 you know
00:38:55.600 yeah okay
00:38:56.080 I went to
00:38:56.520 whatever
00:38:56.760 I went to
00:38:57.080 Harvard
00:38:57.300 I went to
00:38:57.680 Yale
00:38:57.880 but you know
00:38:58.440 what does
00:38:58.880 that mean
00:38:59.180 these days
00:38:59.580 there are a
00:38:59.840 bunch of
00:39:00.080 crazy degenerates
00:39:00.900 who don't
00:39:01.080 know anything
00:39:01.440 who go to
00:39:01.780 those places
00:39:02.240 the reason
00:39:05.280 I'm getting
00:39:06.140 giddy
00:39:06.620 I'm getting
00:39:06.900 butterflies
00:39:07.420 just listening
00:39:08.500 to DeSantis
00:39:09.000 make this
00:39:09.380 introduction
00:39:09.820 is because
00:39:10.640 you know
00:39:11.100 if he's going
00:39:12.160 to open up
00:39:12.680 with this
00:39:12.920 big defense
00:39:13.440 of look
00:39:13.700 he's got
00:39:14.000 all the smart
00:39:14.420 credentials
00:39:14.760 you know
00:39:16.080 this guy
00:39:16.640 is going
00:39:17.220 to be an
00:39:17.620 absolute
00:39:18.160 wrecking
00:39:19.540 ball
00:39:19.860 for the
00:39:20.700 conservatives
00:39:21.160 and he
00:39:22.240 does not
00:39:22.540 disappoint
00:39:22.920 I talked
00:39:24.020 to the
00:39:24.260 governor
00:39:24.480 and there
00:39:24.800 are a few
00:39:25.100 things
00:39:25.460 that we're
00:39:25.820 going to
00:39:26.100 keep in
00:39:26.640 mind
00:39:26.960 as we
00:39:27.340 approach
00:39:27.680 public
00:39:28.040 health
00:39:28.340 here
00:39:28.600 in the
00:39:29.640 state
00:39:29.840 of Florida
00:39:30.280 Florida
00:39:30.940 will
00:39:31.740 completely
00:39:32.380 reject
00:39:32.900 fear
00:39:33.360 as a way
00:39:34.280 of
00:39:34.880 making
00:39:35.640 policies
00:39:36.240 in
00:39:37.200 public
00:39:37.860 health
00:39:38.200 so we're
00:39:38.640 done
00:39:38.860 with
00:39:39.060 fear
00:39:39.320 we're
00:39:39.680 going
00:39:39.800 to be
00:39:39.980 very
00:39:40.160 explicit
00:39:40.600 about
00:39:40.940 the
00:39:41.120 differences
00:39:41.480 between
00:39:42.000 the
00:39:42.300 science
00:39:42.840 and our
00:39:43.800 opinions
00:39:44.300 and this
00:39:44.940 idea
00:39:45.400 that
00:39:45.800 people
00:39:46.360 don't
00:39:46.660 get to
00:39:46.940 make
00:39:47.080 their
00:39:47.240 own
00:39:47.640 decisions
00:39:48.160 on
00:39:49.080 issues
00:39:49.860 of
00:39:50.060 health
00:39:50.280 related
00:39:50.660 to
00:39:50.900 their
00:39:51.100 own
00:39:51.520 personal
00:39:52.300 health
00:39:52.780 is
00:39:53.720 wrong
00:39:56.320 and
00:39:56.840 it's
00:39:57.140 not
00:39:58.540 something
00:39:58.920 that we're
00:39:59.280 going to
00:39:59.580 be
00:39:59.680 about
00:39:59.920 there
00:40:00.200 are
00:40:00.380 good
00:40:00.580 reasons
00:40:00.880 to
00:40:01.080 reject
00:40:01.340 lockdowns
00:40:01.880 after
00:40:02.220 lockdowns
00:40:02.940 overall
00:40:03.540 mortality
00:40:04.060 increase
00:40:04.740 lockdowns
00:40:05.700 are bad
00:40:06.120 we need
00:40:06.740 to
00:40:06.960 respect
00:40:07.500 human
00:40:07.920 rights
00:40:08.380 that
00:40:09.140 people
00:40:09.840 do
00:40:10.220 have
00:40:10.500 autonomy
00:40:10.920 over
00:40:11.180 their
00:40:11.360 lives
00:40:11.740 and
00:40:12.180 it's
00:40:12.360 not
00:40:12.600 okay
00:40:13.060 to
00:40:13.480 it's
00:40:13.960 not
00:40:14.100 even
00:40:14.240 not
00:40:14.440 okay
00:40:14.800 but
00:40:15.020 it's
00:40:15.180 not
00:40:15.380 virtuous
00:40:16.080 and
00:40:16.340 it's
00:40:16.440 not
00:40:16.600 right
00:40:16.920 to
00:40:17.540 just
00:40:17.920 sort
00:40:18.240 of
00:40:18.340 take
00:40:18.660 away
00:40:18.880 those
00:40:19.140 rights
00:40:19.420 from
00:40:19.640 individuals
00:40:20.180 vaccines
00:40:20.840 are
00:40:21.280 up to
00:40:21.540 the
00:40:21.660 person
00:40:21.960 there's
00:40:22.540 nothing
00:40:22.900 special
00:40:23.440 about
00:40:23.760 them
00:40:23.980 compared
00:40:24.280 to
00:40:24.500 any
00:40:24.740 other
00:40:25.040 preventive
00:40:25.560 measure
00:40:27.400 the
00:40:27.840 state
00:40:28.040 should
00:40:28.220 be
00:40:28.360 promoting
00:40:28.720 good
00:40:29.100 health
00:40:29.420 and
00:40:29.920 vaccination
00:40:30.380 isn't
00:40:30.980 the only
00:40:34.740 yes
00:40:36.140 yes
00:40:37.320 oh man
00:40:38.760 I know
00:40:39.180 that everyone's
00:40:39.680 talking about
00:40:39.960 DeSantis
00:40:40.280 for president
00:40:40.860 let's run
00:40:41.540 that guy
00:40:41.900 for president
00:40:42.500 let's run
00:40:42.900 them both
00:40:43.260 let's run
00:40:43.580 them both
00:40:43.800 on a ticket
00:40:44.200 oh my gosh
00:40:45.460 I love
00:40:45.960 this guy
00:40:46.520 I knew
00:40:47.380 I knew
00:40:47.980 it
00:40:48.160 when DeSantis
00:40:48.720 was saying
00:40:49.060 look before
00:40:50.080 he starts
00:40:50.460 talking
00:40:50.780 he went
00:40:51.340 to Harvard
00:40:51.780 he went
00:40:53.400 to your
00:40:53.700 school
00:40:54.020 libs
00:40:54.420 he went
00:40:55.160 to Harvard
00:40:55.440 medical
00:40:55.780 actually
00:40:56.280 which is
00:40:56.660 even more
00:40:57.040 impressive
00:40:57.440 yeah
00:40:58.000 yeah
00:40:59.440 oh he was
00:40:59.860 at what
00:41:00.080 was it
00:41:00.340 UCLA or
00:41:00.860 something
00:41:01.060 yeah
00:41:01.300 that's
00:41:01.520 another
00:41:01.700 one
00:41:01.820 of your
00:41:01.980 schools
00:41:02.220 all right
00:41:03.460 buddy
00:41:03.660 what do
00:41:03.860 you have
00:41:04.740 masks are
00:41:05.180 stupid
00:41:05.560 vaccines
00:41:06.180 are stupid
00:41:06.760 the vaccine
00:41:07.540 mandates
00:41:07.940 and the mask
00:41:08.400 mandates
00:41:08.660 are especially
00:41:09.180 stupid
00:41:09.700 people have
00:41:10.420 control over
00:41:10.880 their lives
00:41:11.260 don't live
00:41:11.700 in fear
00:41:12.000 focus on
00:41:12.540 virtue
00:41:12.840 ha ha ha
00:41:13.480 that's what
00:41:13.920 he said
00:41:14.160 I love
00:41:16.560 it
00:41:17.280 I totally
00:41:17.820 love it
00:41:18.840 it's
00:41:19.300 this is what
00:41:20.580 you need to
00:41:20.940 hear
00:41:21.060 because by the
00:41:21.560 way when he's
00:41:21.960 saying he's
00:41:22.260 not quite saying
00:41:22.800 vaccines are
00:41:23.260 stupid but he's
00:41:23.900 making a very
00:41:24.460 important point
00:41:24.900 he's saying
00:41:25.160 yeah vaccines
00:41:26.260 are fine but
00:41:27.000 they're just
00:41:27.400 one measure
00:41:28.620 they're just
00:41:30.040 one measure
00:41:30.640 there are
00:41:32.180 other
00:41:32.740 what about
00:41:33.220 therapeutics
00:41:33.960 think about
00:41:34.660 this with
00:41:34.940 AIDS
00:41:35.200 for years
00:41:37.060 and years
00:41:37.380 decades
00:41:37.640 and decades
00:41:38.180 under the
00:41:38.880 guidance of
00:41:39.220 Dr. Fauci
00:41:39.620 actually
00:41:39.920 the federal
00:41:40.660 government
00:41:40.960 tried to
00:41:41.500 find a vaccine
00:41:42.200 for AIDS
00:41:42.560 it never
00:41:42.860 happened
00:41:43.140 they never
00:41:43.480 found one
00:41:43.880 but people
00:41:44.760 with AIDS
00:41:45.160 can live a
00:41:45.600 very long
00:41:45.920 time now
00:41:46.340 because of
00:41:47.080 therapeutics
00:41:47.660 because of
00:41:47.960 drugs
00:41:48.200 why
00:41:48.620 they did
00:41:48.940 the same
00:41:49.360 sort of
00:41:50.120 focus
00:41:50.500 here in
00:41:51.080 coronavirus
00:41:51.560 put all
00:41:52.120 the money
00:41:52.340 behind a
00:41:52.680 vaccine
00:41:52.960 don't focus
00:41:53.480 on any
00:41:53.780 treatments
00:41:54.160 if anyone
00:41:55.000 does take
00:41:55.340 a treatment
00:41:55.640 say that
00:41:55.980 they're eating
00:41:56.260 horse paste
00:41:56.740 or something
00:41:57.160 and this guy
00:41:58.300 comes out
00:41:58.800 an appointed
00:42:00.080 figure
00:42:00.620 and says
00:42:01.560 yeah the
00:42:01.880 lockdowns
00:42:02.380 actually were
00:42:02.840 bad
00:42:03.340 the insane
00:42:04.440 focus on
00:42:05.080 these little
00:42:05.440 measures
00:42:05.780 are bad
00:42:06.500 we're not
00:42:06.960 going to do it
00:42:07.340 we're not
00:42:07.600 going to live
00:42:07.880 in fear
00:42:08.120 I know that
00:42:09.300 YouTube
00:42:09.720 or all these
00:42:10.320 other places
00:42:10.680 are going to
00:42:10.920 try to take
00:42:11.280 me down
00:42:11.540 for that
00:42:11.800 I'm quoting
00:42:12.700 the science
00:42:13.340 I'm just
00:42:13.820 playing you
00:42:14.360 the science
00:42:15.000 and a man
00:42:16.340 who says
00:42:16.680 there's a big
00:42:17.220 difference
00:42:17.580 between science
00:42:18.460 and our
00:42:19.340 political
00:42:19.640 opinions
00:42:20.100 on Monday
00:42:24.840 500 women
00:42:27.760 including
00:42:29.000 US soccer
00:42:30.300 player
00:42:30.800 Megan Rapinoe
00:42:31.960 and lots of
00:42:32.440 other professional
00:42:32.980 athletes
00:42:33.500 called on the
00:42:35.100 Supreme Court
00:42:35.720 to strike down
00:42:37.160 the Mississippi
00:42:37.640 law that
00:42:38.180 prevents babies
00:42:38.860 from being
00:42:39.280 killed
00:42:39.620 by abortion
00:42:40.500 why is this
00:42:43.320 news
00:42:43.600 why do I
00:42:44.360 care what
00:42:44.820 Megan Rapinoe
00:42:45.560 thinks about
00:42:46.060 anything
00:42:46.380 I certainly
00:42:47.020 don't
00:42:47.400 why does
00:42:48.000 the Supreme
00:42:48.380 Court care
00:42:48.840 what Megan
00:42:49.440 Rapinoe
00:42:49.780 thinks about
00:42:50.220 anything
00:42:50.520 they certainly
00:42:51.680 should not
00:42:52.340 the reason
00:42:53.380 they're filing
00:42:54.120 this brief
00:42:54.660 for the court
00:42:55.180 is they just
00:42:56.640 want to gin
00:42:57.580 up public
00:42:58.040 opinion to
00:42:58.620 pressure the
00:42:59.080 court to
00:42:59.700 strike down
00:43:00.140 a law that
00:43:00.540 protects all
00:43:01.280 these babies
00:43:01.700 from being
00:43:02.060 killed
00:43:02.320 this is a
00:43:03.140 Supreme Court
00:43:03.560 case that
00:43:03.900 very possibly
00:43:04.460 could overturn
00:43:05.540 Roe vs.
00:43:06.180 Wade and
00:43:07.160 Planned Parenthood
00:43:07.720 B. Casey
00:43:08.160 which was the
00:43:08.680 case that
00:43:09.420 affirmed Roe vs.
00:43:10.220 Wade
00:43:10.360 the only reason
00:43:12.960 this story
00:43:13.600 struck me in
00:43:15.320 any way as
00:43:15.760 newsworthy
00:43:16.200 is I thought
00:43:17.000 it was kind
00:43:17.420 of weird
00:43:17.880 that Megan
00:43:19.460 Rapinoe would
00:43:20.600 be so
00:43:20.980 concerned about
00:43:22.360 abortion
00:43:22.840 because last
00:43:24.240 time I
00:43:24.600 checked
00:43:25.040 Megan Rapinoe
00:43:26.360 was very
00:43:26.920 famously
00:43:27.560 not interested
00:43:29.580 in men
00:43:30.140 I don't
00:43:31.440 I don't think
00:43:32.120 there is any
00:43:33.000 occasion on
00:43:34.780 which Megan
00:43:35.580 Rapinoe would
00:43:36.320 require or
00:43:37.780 desire or have
00:43:39.660 any relationship
00:43:40.440 to an
00:43:41.760 abortion
00:43:42.160 nobody ever
00:43:44.360 requires an
00:43:45.060 abortion
00:43:45.420 least of all
00:43:47.200 Megan Rapinoe
00:43:48.020 so why
00:43:49.160 why is one
00:43:49.900 of the most
00:43:50.200 famous lesbians
00:43:50.960 in the country
00:43:51.460 so ginned up
00:43:52.300 about abortion
00:43:52.840 an issue that
00:43:53.280 has absolutely
00:43:54.140 nothing to do
00:43:54.640 with her
00:43:54.900 I think it
00:43:56.160 gets to
00:43:56.700 this issue
00:43:58.540 that is really
00:44:00.080 at the heart
00:44:00.760 of leftism
00:44:02.780 but really at the
00:44:03.420 heart of liberalism
00:44:04.260 and actually kind
00:44:04.980 of at the heart
00:44:05.340 of some libertarianism
00:44:06.380 too
00:44:06.680 this radical
00:44:08.680 individualism
00:44:09.720 that what
00:44:11.600 the left
00:44:13.120 and the right
00:44:13.800 have been doing
00:44:14.480 since the 1960s
00:44:15.960 since the kind
00:44:16.400 of cultural
00:44:16.900 revolutions
00:44:17.420 of the 1960s
00:44:18.500 but you saw
00:44:19.720 the seeds of this
00:44:20.260 going back
00:44:20.620 hundreds and
00:44:21.080 hundreds of
00:44:21.440 years
00:44:21.680 is prioritizing
00:44:23.600 the individual
00:44:24.840 above all
00:44:26.520 else
00:44:26.900 that the
00:44:27.740 defining feature
00:44:30.360 of all of
00:44:31.000 modernity
00:44:31.580 is emancipation
00:44:33.020 emancipation
00:44:34.500 from
00:44:35.000 kings
00:44:36.740 emancipation
00:44:38.340 from
00:44:39.000 your home
00:44:40.080 country
00:44:40.540 emancipation
00:44:41.760 from social
00:44:42.620 mores
00:44:43.340 emancipation
00:44:44.340 from the family
00:44:45.200 emancipation
00:44:46.020 even from
00:44:47.100 yourself
00:44:47.840 emancipation
00:44:48.880 even if I'm a man
00:44:49.660 I want to be
00:44:50.040 emancipated
00:44:50.820 and seem like
00:44:51.480 a woman
00:44:51.840 that I can
00:44:52.280 now do that
00:44:53.020 emancipation
00:44:54.060 from the natural
00:44:54.720 bonds of
00:44:55.340 motherhood
00:44:55.800 if I don't
00:44:56.880 want to be
00:44:57.200 a mother
00:44:57.520 but I am
00:44:58.000 I'll just
00:44:58.400 kill the
00:44:58.720 baby
00:44:58.980 and that's
00:44:59.380 part of
00:45:00.120 the emancipation
00:45:00.840 that's my
00:45:01.260 right
00:45:01.680 it all
00:45:03.800 goes in
00:45:04.420 together
00:45:04.900 I know
00:45:06.020 some people
00:45:06.580 seem to
00:45:06.980 think that
00:45:07.520 you know
00:45:08.920 feminism
00:45:09.560 is going to
00:45:10.340 undermine
00:45:10.840 transgenderism
00:45:11.820 or the
00:45:13.020 LGBT movement
00:45:14.040 but it's
00:45:14.400 all kind
00:45:15.080 of the
00:45:15.300 same
00:45:15.420 it all
00:45:15.700 gets down
00:45:16.180 to this
00:45:16.640 fundamental
00:45:18.040 emancipation
00:45:19.120 from any
00:45:19.860 sort of
00:45:20.240 natural
00:45:20.740 bounds
00:45:21.600 any sort
00:45:22.120 of natural
00:45:22.560 distinctions
00:45:23.260 which is
00:45:24.700 why I was
00:45:26.020 really
00:45:26.780 shocked
00:45:28.060 I shouldn't
00:45:28.380 have been
00:45:28.600 shocked though
00:45:29.040 to see that
00:45:29.660 this is
00:45:29.880 infecting
00:45:30.540 every element
00:45:31.680 of society
00:45:32.260 including
00:45:32.840 even
00:45:33.300 Catholics
00:45:34.400 you know
00:45:34.740 the Catholics
00:45:35.640 should be
00:45:36.580 the holdout
00:45:37.140 here
00:45:37.440 because the
00:45:38.300 Catholics
00:45:38.780 just never
00:45:40.660 really went
00:45:41.100 along with
00:45:41.760 all that
00:45:42.060 kind of
00:45:42.420 modern
00:45:42.840 individualism
00:45:43.900 liberalism
00:45:45.020 they just
00:45:45.260 kind of
00:45:45.460 rejected
00:45:45.800 that
00:45:45.980 they're
00:45:46.140 pretty
00:45:46.380 old school
00:45:47.440 about these
00:45:47.860 things
00:45:48.100 and yet
00:45:48.520 I saw
00:45:48.740 this article
00:45:49.240 the other
00:45:49.520 day
00:45:49.700 a post-modern
00:45:50.860 Catholic
00:45:51.360 divinity
00:45:51.860 student
00:45:52.320 lets go
00:45:53.240 for a
00:45:53.560 moment
00:45:53.780 of grace
00:45:54.360 and this
00:45:55.040 student
00:45:55.640 was describing
00:45:57.200 how he
00:45:58.140 wanted to
00:45:58.760 visit a
00:45:59.360 Hindu temple
00:46:00.100 so he wanted
00:46:00.980 to go visit
00:46:01.420 a Hindu temple
00:46:02.000 ceremony
00:46:02.400 for an
00:46:02.760 assignment
00:46:03.100 in his
00:46:04.560 graduate
00:46:05.200 seminar
00:46:05.700 and so
00:46:07.220 he didn't
00:46:09.120 end up doing
00:46:09.560 that because
00:46:09.880 he was afraid
00:46:10.340 of coronavirus
00:46:10.820 so he just
00:46:11.720 did it
00:46:12.020 online which
00:46:12.680 makes the
00:46:13.040 story even
00:46:13.500 funnier
00:46:13.840 but he's
00:46:14.340 there and
00:46:14.640 he's sort
00:46:14.900 of digitally
00:46:15.800 participating
00:46:16.420 in this
00:46:17.020 and then
00:46:18.500 he's watching
00:46:19.120 it and kind
00:46:19.600 of taking
00:46:19.920 notes but
00:46:20.300 he said no
00:46:20.580 I shouldn't
00:46:21.180 just watch
00:46:21.680 it I should
00:46:22.500 participate in
00:46:23.360 this as well
00:46:24.540 I'm doing
00:46:25.280 this wrong
00:46:26.000 I'm observing
00:46:26.680 but I'm not
00:46:28.140 part of the
00:46:29.000 puja
00:46:29.400 I'm not
00:46:30.160 I'm not
00:46:30.480 I'm distancing
00:46:31.000 myself
00:46:31.480 so he paused
00:46:32.260 the video
00:46:32.620 takes a deep
00:46:33.200 breath
00:46:33.400 exhales
00:46:33.960 and he
00:46:34.520 stares into
00:46:35.180 Ganesha's
00:46:35.840 eyes and
00:46:36.880 something wonderful
00:46:37.540 happens
00:46:37.940 I'm entranced
00:46:39.020 mesmerized
00:46:39.820 Ganesha's eyes
00:46:40.760 seem to stare
00:46:41.400 back as the
00:46:42.400 chanting wafts
00:46:43.260 over me
00:46:43.680 I slide
00:46:44.440 into its
00:46:44.820 rhythm
00:46:45.200 one voice
00:46:46.120 just breathing
00:46:46.800 just being
00:46:47.520 the chanting
00:46:48.440 the distance
00:46:49.240 of bells
00:46:49.880 as the puja
00:46:51.000 ends
00:46:51.520 I'm still
00:46:52.300 staring into
00:46:52.920 Ganesha's
00:46:53.480 eyes
00:46:53.860 the eyes
00:46:54.500 of Ganesha
00:46:55.020 are all that
00:46:55.580 exists
00:46:56.020 all that there
00:46:56.660 is in my
00:46:57.120 world
00:46:57.600 what happened
00:46:59.540 what happened
00:46:59.560 a moment of
00:47:00.320 grace
00:47:00.740 even though I
00:47:02.520 was in a
00:47:02.800 non-Christian
00:47:03.300 setting
00:47:03.700 I must find
00:47:05.660 a deeper
00:47:05.980 answer that
00:47:06.460 goes beyond
00:47:06.920 imposing
00:47:07.440 Christian theology
00:47:08.260 and values
00:47:08.820 on a Hindu
00:47:09.700 puja
00:47:10.040 in other
00:47:11.780 words
00:47:12.140 he's
00:47:13.540 worshipping
00:47:15.280 pagan
00:47:15.940 idols
00:47:16.500 to own
00:47:17.900 the
00:47:18.880 traditionalists
00:47:20.320 to own
00:47:20.780 the conservatives
00:47:21.460 to own
00:47:22.080 the people
00:47:22.500 who don't
00:47:22.780 believe you
00:47:23.060 should emancipate
00:47:23.600 yourself from
00:47:24.040 everything
00:47:24.360 you actually
00:47:25.920 hear this
00:47:26.300 argument
00:47:26.600 sometimes
00:47:27.120 you'll hear
00:47:27.400 people say
00:47:27.780 look
00:47:28.040 I'm going
00:47:28.920 to violate
00:47:29.480 some
00:47:30.180 well-established
00:47:31.180 tenet of
00:47:31.620 Christianity
00:47:32.180 whether it's
00:47:33.240 on
00:47:33.480 I don't know
00:47:34.380 theology of
00:47:34.940 the body
00:47:35.320 sex issues
00:47:36.260 or whether
00:47:36.600 it's on
00:47:36.900 liturgical
00:47:37.300 issues
00:47:37.720 or whether
00:47:38.040 it's on
00:47:38.540 Christological
00:47:40.640 issues
00:47:40.920 or whatever
00:47:41.280 I'm going
00:47:42.040 to violate
00:47:42.440 some important
00:47:43.820 doctrine of
00:47:44.360 Christianity
00:47:44.800 because that's
00:47:46.200 really the
00:47:46.740 most Christian
00:47:47.540 thing I
00:47:48.020 could do
00:47:48.460 the most
00:47:49.520 Christian
00:47:49.900 thing I
00:47:50.220 could do
00:47:50.500 would be
00:47:50.780 to worship
00:47:51.200 pagan
00:47:51.560 idols
00:47:51.860 because it's
00:47:52.260 so open
00:47:52.980 minded
00:47:53.420 it's not
00:47:54.400 it's not
00:47:55.800 and there's
00:47:56.080 nothing
00:47:56.400 there's nothing
00:47:57.480 new about
00:47:58.180 this
00:47:58.500 that people
00:47:58.860 think this
00:47:59.240 is some
00:47:59.500 new
00:47:59.780 revelation
00:48:00.280 no
00:48:00.540 worshipping
00:48:01.440 pagan
00:48:01.740 idols
00:48:02.040 is the
00:48:02.560 default
00:48:03.000 for
00:48:03.300 humanity
00:48:03.780 okay
00:48:04.240 that's
00:48:04.480 what
00:48:04.640 everyone
00:48:05.400 did
00:48:05.760 for all
00:48:06.400 of human
00:48:06.680 history
00:48:06.980 everywhere
00:48:07.640 until
00:48:09.000 the ancient
00:48:11.160 Israelites
00:48:11.660 and then
00:48:13.500 until
00:48:14.020 that idea
00:48:15.440 of worshipping
00:48:16.440 one God
00:48:16.880 finds its
00:48:17.500 culmination
00:48:18.620 its fulfillment
00:48:19.600 in Christianity
00:48:20.520 and now
00:48:22.240 we're going
00:48:22.740 back to that
00:48:23.240 there's nothing
00:48:23.840 new under
00:48:24.200 the sun
00:48:24.520 folks
00:48:24.800 I assure
00:48:25.560 you
00:48:25.820 the worship
00:48:27.600 of pagan
00:48:28.700 idols
00:48:29.040 is not
00:48:30.900 new
00:48:31.240 this actually
00:48:33.240 there was
00:48:33.480 another article
00:48:34.180 good article
00:48:34.700 on Unheard
00:48:35.240 how Satanism
00:48:35.940 conquered
00:48:36.300 America
00:48:36.660 just observing
00:48:37.240 that Satanism
00:48:37.860 is just
00:48:38.200 untrammeled
00:48:38.760 individualism
00:48:39.360 do whatever
00:48:39.760 you want
00:48:40.100 ye shall
00:48:40.480 be as
00:48:40.800 gods
00:48:41.060 that's
00:48:41.260 what the
00:48:41.480 serpent
00:48:41.680 says
00:48:41.940 to Eve
00:48:42.540 in the
00:48:42.740 garden
00:48:42.940 of Eden
00:48:43.280 that's
00:48:43.800 how John
00:48:44.340 Milton
00:48:44.600 kind of
00:48:44.920 used
00:48:45.060 Satanism
00:48:45.500 too
00:48:45.700 and so
00:48:46.020 when we
00:48:46.500 just do
00:48:46.860 whatever
00:48:47.060 we want
00:48:47.480 at any
00:48:47.820 given
00:48:48.000 time
00:48:48.280 there is
00:48:49.240 really no
00:48:49.700 distinction
00:48:50.040 here
00:48:50.300 and that's
00:48:50.540 why
00:48:50.900 these sorts
00:48:51.620 of things
00:48:52.100 have
00:48:52.840 darker
00:48:53.880 symbols
00:48:55.160 associated
00:48:55.740 with them
00:48:56.160 there's
00:48:56.760 nothing
00:48:57.000 new
00:48:57.180 under
00:48:57.340 the sun
00:48:57.600 we look
00:48:57.880 at our
00:48:58.040 new
00:48:58.200 government
00:48:58.540 oh we
00:48:58.840 have the
00:48:59.060 enlightenment
00:48:59.580 brilliant
00:49:00.980 genius
00:49:01.920 scientific
00:49:02.780 rule
00:49:03.940 of the
00:49:04.320 experts
00:49:04.860 it's just
00:49:05.460 oligarchy
00:49:06.120 there have
00:49:06.760 been a lot
00:49:07.080 of oligarchies
00:49:07.720 in history
00:49:08.100 and we're
00:49:08.420 descending
00:49:08.720 into one
00:49:09.180 now
00:49:09.480 as well
00:49:10.360 and you
00:49:11.280 know
00:49:11.400 I mentioned
00:49:12.100 Angelo
00:49:12.540 Cotavilla
00:49:13.000 earlier
00:49:13.320 we've just
00:49:13.700 lost one
00:49:14.100 of the
00:49:14.260 great
00:49:14.520 minds
00:49:16.120 on this
00:49:16.680 issue
00:49:16.980 so let's
00:49:18.300 not forget
00:49:19.300 about him
00:49:19.640 let's not
00:49:20.000 memory hold
00:49:20.500 that
00:49:20.620 let's
00:49:20.840 recognize
00:49:21.220 let's
00:49:21.620 see
00:49:21.940 this
00:49:22.400 moment
00:49:22.800 clearly
00:49:23.400 for what
00:49:24.140 it is
00:49:24.520 let's
00:49:24.780 not get
00:49:25.100 lost
00:49:25.620 in
00:49:25.940 Canesha's
00:49:26.440 eyes
00:49:26.700 or whatever
00:49:27.040 let's
00:49:27.280 not get
00:49:27.520 lost
00:49:27.800 in
00:49:28.040 Dr.
00:49:28.340 Fauci's
00:49:28.680 eyes
00:49:28.840 either
00:49:29.100 let's
00:49:29.600 see
00:49:29.720 this
00:49:29.920 for
00:49:30.080 what
00:49:30.220 it
00:49:30.320 is
00:49:30.500 let's
00:49:30.980 decide
00:49:31.280 what
00:49:31.420 kind
00:49:31.600 of
00:49:31.760 society
00:49:32.380 we
00:49:32.560 want
00:49:32.680 to
00:49:32.760 live
00:49:32.880 in
00:49:32.960 what
00:49:33.100 government
00:49:33.400 we
00:49:33.580 want
00:49:33.720 to
00:49:33.820 live
00:49:33.940 under
00:49:34.160 and
00:49:34.880 let's
00:49:35.120 exercise
00:49:35.500 our
00:49:35.760 political
00:49:36.120 authority
00:49:36.900 such as
00:49:37.280 we
00:49:37.360 still
00:49:37.560 have
00:49:37.800 it
00:49:37.940 to
00:49:38.140 do
00:49:38.320 so

00:50:31.900 Some in the
00:50:33.140 news media
00:50:33.500 are claiming
00:50:34.000 that the
00:50:34.460 Gabby
00:50:34.800 Petito
00:50:35.200 case
00:50:35.580 is only
00:50:35.940 getting
00:50:36.140 all this
00:50:36.480 attention
00:50:36.800 because
00:50:37.080 she's
00:50:37.340 a white
00:50:37.600 woman
00:50:37.780 they're
00:50:37.960 actually
00:50:38.200 right
00:50:38.500 but not
00:50:38.800 for the
00:50:39.020 reason
00:50:39.220 they
00:50:39.400 think
00:50:39.620 we'll
00:50:39.760 discuss
00:50:40.000 the
00:50:40.160 real
00:50:40.300 reason
00:50:40.540 behind
00:50:40.740 the

00:50:41.200 today

00:50:46.240 they didn't
