00:00:30.500 The 570 days of masks,
00:00:33.200 social distancing,
00:00:34.420 bankrupt businesses,
00:00:35.620 canceled holidays,
00:00:36.640 and injection mandates have been bad.
00:00:39.660 I do not mean to downplay them.
00:00:41.920 In the United States,
00:00:43.060 the public health dictatorship
00:00:44.380 has been onerous.
00:00:46.940 But relative to some other parts of the world,
00:00:50.800 we've actually gotten off easy.
00:00:52.500 If you want to know
00:00:53.940 how far the libs are willing
00:00:56.160 to take these lockdown measures,
00:00:58.340 just take a look at Australia,
00:01:01.340 where one state in Australia
00:01:02.900 is pairing mandatory selfies
00:01:05.840 with facial recognition software
00:01:08.400 to make sure you never leave your home.
00:01:12.280 Today, the call has gone out
00:01:14.000 to everyone in home quarantine in Victoria
00:01:16.360 to take part of our pilot program.
00:01:19.880 And what that means
00:01:20.800 is that they will receive random phone calls
00:01:24.020 and they have to answer within five minutes
00:01:26.480 with a selfie sent to this app,
00:01:28.820 which will then geo-track
00:01:30.480 where that person is
00:01:32.760 and to make sure that they are
00:01:34.460 who they say they are as well.
00:01:36.500 If they don't answer
00:01:37.680 within that five-minute period,
00:01:39.080 that's when health officers come knocking.
00:01:41.180 I did not believe that was a real clip
00:01:43.840 when I saw it.
00:01:44.520 I actually had to look it up
00:01:45.640 to find the news story
00:01:46.740 to see that that is real.
00:01:49.440 Victoria in Australia
00:01:50.560 is actually doing this.
00:01:53.000 They obviously want to spread it out
00:01:54.340 much wider than just this test program.
00:01:57.060 Once a penal colony,
00:01:59.180 always a penal colony, 0.90
00:02:00.840 and it's not just Australia.
00:02:02.680 Just this week,
00:02:03.460 Dr. Fauci and the CDC
00:02:04.600 have made clear
00:02:05.420 that the only thing
00:02:06.800 preventing these sorts of measures
00:02:08.400 here at home in the United States
00:02:10.400 is the sheer intransigence
00:02:13.100 of the American people.
00:02:14.760 They just can't get away with it.
00:02:16.400 But make no mistake,
00:02:17.880 if the ruling class could,
00:02:19.980 it would,
00:02:20.740 and it still might.
00:02:21.660 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:02:22.400 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:30.820 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:31.780 My favorite comment yesterday
00:02:32.740 from Johnny Nallis,
00:02:34.200 who says,
00:02:35.160 you know Fauci is lying
00:02:36.820 when he starts his answer with,
00:02:39.140 absolutely not.
00:02:41.160 This is true.
00:02:41.880 This is one of Fauci's tells.
00:02:43.900 When Fauci is caught in a lie,
00:02:46.060 you see this especially
00:02:47.160 when Rand Paul
00:02:48.820 is grilling him on Capitol Hill.
00:02:50.420 When he gets caught
00:02:51.360 dead to rights in a lie,
00:02:53.360 Fauci's tell
00:02:54.260 is not to waffle a little bit.
00:02:56.220 It's not even to hedge.
00:02:57.540 It's to double down.
00:02:59.000 Senator Paul,
00:03:00.200 you are absolutely incorrect.
00:03:02.560 And when he says that,
00:03:03.220 you know that Rand Paul
00:03:04.920 or whoever is interrogating him
00:03:06.520 has totally got Fauci's number.
00:03:10.380 Now,
00:03:10.720 when you want to be able
00:03:12.080 to hear things really clearly,
00:03:14.140 hear,
00:03:14.620 hear between all the noise,
00:03:16.660 make sure you really
00:03:17.680 hear what's going on.
00:03:19.580 I would recommend you
00:03:20.280 check out Raycons.
00:03:21.180 Man,
00:03:21.580 do I miss my Raycon earbuds.
00:03:23.380 I do.
00:03:24.060 I miss them so much.
00:03:25.600 It's not,
00:03:25.940 it's not that I lost them.
00:03:27.160 They've got a really cool case
00:03:28.300 and actually they've got cool colors.
00:03:29.560 So it's not,
00:03:30.040 it's not easy to lose them.
00:03:32.300 It's not that I,
00:03:33.600 it's not that they broke.
00:03:34.380 Certainly they're really high quality.
00:03:35.840 It's that my wife stole them.
00:03:38.300 She took them.
00:03:39.120 She tried them out.
00:03:39.980 They sounded great.
00:03:40.680 And now they're hers. 0.73
00:03:41.700 The everyday earbuds from Raycon.
00:03:43.540 They look,
00:03:43.860 they feel,
00:03:44.260 they sound better than ever.
00:03:46.620 You get three new sound profiles
00:03:48.020 to make sure everything
00:03:48.900 you're listening to sounds
00:03:49.820 it's best
00:03:50.340 with just the right amount of bass.
00:03:51.600 There's an all new awareness mode
00:03:53.120 for when you need to listen
00:03:54.640 to your surroundings instead.
00:03:56.060 Eight hours of play time,
00:03:57.060 32 hours of battery life,
00:03:58.300 built-in mics.
00:03:58.940 You can take calls on the earbuds
00:04:00.000 at the press of a button
00:04:00.900 and they start at half the price
00:04:02.520 of the other premium audio brands.
00:04:04.260 They sound just as good.
00:04:05.220 They're really phenomenal.
00:04:06.260 They've got a 45 day happiness guarantee.
00:04:08.640 You're going to love them.
00:04:09.400 Right now,
00:04:09.700 my listeners can get 15%
00:04:11.300 off their Raycon order
00:04:12.080 at buyraycon.com slash Knowles.
00:04:14.040 That's buyraycon.com slash Knowles
00:04:16.400 to save 15% on Raycons.
00:04:18.380 That is buyraycon.com slash K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:04:24.080 I didn't believe it.
00:04:25.800 I should have believed it
00:04:26.900 with regard to this Australia story.
00:04:30.540 Obviously, Australia has been
00:04:32.100 sort of leading the way
00:04:33.460 in these onerous lockdown measures,
00:04:36.260 but I just couldn't believe
00:04:37.300 you're telling me
00:04:38.000 that some government flack
00:04:39.620 or one of his proxies
00:04:41.100 is going to call you up,
00:04:43.100 say, okay, right now,
00:04:44.140 send me a selfie
00:04:44.720 and you've got to send a selfie
00:04:45.860 and then they're going to use
00:04:46.720 geo-tracking
00:04:48.080 and facial recognition
00:04:49.540 to make sure
00:04:50.580 that you're not leaving your home
00:04:51.820 and if not,
00:04:52.340 they're going to send
00:04:52.760 the police to your door,
00:04:54.800 kick your door in
00:04:55.620 and tell you,
00:04:56.360 hey, you've got to be home.
00:04:57.200 Where are you?
00:04:58.020 Send out a search party
00:04:58.820 and yet,
00:05:00.020 we already have this technology.
00:05:02.640 I remember,
00:05:03.160 I was coming back from France.
00:05:04.840 I was in France
00:05:05.560 a couple of months ago.
00:05:07.180 It was actually right before
00:05:08.360 I flew back in the day
00:05:09.620 that all the really crazy
00:05:11.060 lockdown measures
00:05:11.780 went into place
00:05:12.460 and I was just flying in
00:05:13.560 and I went through
00:05:14.460 the global entry checkpoint.
00:05:17.520 If you have a card,
00:05:18.620 you sign up,
00:05:19.080 it's like a hundred bucks,
00:05:19.800 you get a card
00:05:20.240 and it makes it easier
00:05:21.580 to go through customs.
00:05:22.880 So I go through
00:05:23.440 and you used to have
00:05:23.960 to scan your passport
00:05:24.840 and then you'd enter
00:05:25.540 your information.
00:05:26.580 Now,
00:05:27.040 you just walk right by,
00:05:28.220 you look at the machine
00:05:29.160 and it prints out
00:05:30.260 all of your information.
00:05:31.540 It's very, very spooky.
00:05:32.840 How does it work?
00:05:33.420 It's facial recognition.
00:05:34.600 This is being used
00:05:35.380 by private businesses.
00:05:37.100 It's being used
00:05:37.500 by your iPhone.
00:05:38.400 It's being used
00:05:38.980 by tech companies
00:05:40.060 and it's also being used
00:05:41.380 by the government
00:05:41.980 and do you think
00:05:42.760 that the government
00:05:43.740 in cahoots very often
00:05:45.120 with big tech
00:05:45.760 with these huge asymmetries
00:05:47.560 of power,
00:05:47.960 do you think they're only
00:05:48.600 going to use that power
00:05:49.340 for good
00:05:49.780 or do you think
00:05:50.620 maybe they're going
00:05:51.080 to use that power
00:05:51.920 to deprive you
00:05:53.460 of some of your
00:05:54.440 traditional rights
00:05:55.420 and liberties
00:05:56.040 and way of life?
00:05:57.680 Do you think it's only
00:05:58.440 in Australia?
00:05:59.220 You don't think Fauci
00:05:59.960 would do this
00:06:00.480 the second he could?
00:06:02.500 You don't think
00:06:02.880 the CDC would do this?
00:06:03.880 You don't think
00:06:04.200 the FDA would do this?
00:06:05.280 We know that they would.
00:06:06.780 They're already
00:06:07.560 trying these things.
00:06:09.520 They're already
00:06:10.320 testing the waters
00:06:11.260 of the permanent
00:06:12.400 public health state.
00:06:13.820 There was a headline
00:06:14.920 just on Monday.
00:06:16.840 Comes out from
00:06:17.640 Sinclair Broadcasting.
00:06:20.480 Headline,
00:06:21.100 CDC recommends
00:06:22.140 virtual Thanksgiving
00:06:23.280 this year.
00:06:23.960 I did a double take
00:06:24.780 because I remember
00:06:25.320 last year the CDC
00:06:26.180 said we had to do
00:06:26.840 a virtual Thanksgiving.
00:06:27.920 That was just a few months
00:06:29.100 after 15 days
00:06:29.920 to slow the spread.
00:06:30.920 Now we're 570 days
00:06:33.180 since 15 days
00:06:34.720 to slow the spread.
00:06:35.880 We're still not allowed
00:06:36.880 to celebrate Thanksgiving?
00:06:38.440 No.
00:06:39.260 No, we're not.
00:06:39.800 CDC wants you
00:06:40.840 to stay away
00:06:41.400 from your family,
00:06:42.480 not travel,
00:06:43.620 not gather together,
00:06:44.840 not acknowledge
00:06:45.460 the holiday
00:06:46.020 in a traditional way
00:06:48.080 until there was
00:06:49.100 an update.
00:06:49.740 Here was the update.
00:06:51.220 October 5th update,
00:06:53.280 so it was just
00:06:53.640 one day later.
00:06:54.460 Centers for Disease
00:06:55.080 Control and Prevention
00:06:55.720 removed their 2021
00:06:56.640 holiday guidance Tuesday
00:06:57.940 and said the update
00:06:58.600 was a mishap.
00:06:59.760 The agency said
00:07:00.360 its recommendations
00:07:00.820 for future gatherings
00:07:01.820 that mirrored 2020
00:07:03.020 guidance does not
00:07:03.860 reflect this year
00:07:04.520 as new suggestions
00:07:05.300 are coming soon.
00:07:06.000 What changed?
00:07:08.560 What changed?
00:07:10.120 The CDC said,
00:07:11.300 yep,
00:07:11.500 just like last year
00:07:12.360 you're going to have
00:07:12.740 to lock down
00:07:13.240 and have a virtual Thanksgiving.
00:07:14.800 And then they said,
00:07:15.580 oh, actually, JK,
00:07:17.460 nope, psych,
00:07:18.880 never mind.
00:07:20.040 What changed?
00:07:20.620 Did the science change?
00:07:21.980 Wow,
00:07:22.320 there must have been
00:07:22.840 some real scientific discoveries
00:07:24.700 between Monday and Tuesday.
00:07:27.180 Is that,
00:07:27.520 no,
00:07:27.840 what happened was
00:07:28.540 the people
00:07:29.160 derided them,
00:07:30.860 mocked them,
00:07:31.540 pushed back,
00:07:32.460 protested,
00:07:34.080 rent their garments
00:07:34.680 and gnashed their teeth.
00:07:35.860 And the CDC said,
00:07:36.820 okay,
00:07:37.160 actually,
00:07:37.600 never mind.
00:07:38.500 Never mind.
00:07:38.780 It's what Dr. Fauci said
00:07:39.920 over the weekend.
00:07:40.740 Dr. Fauci was on
00:07:41.560 one of the Sunday shows
00:07:42.780 and they said,
00:07:43.640 hey,
00:07:43.900 can we have Christmas this year
00:07:45.340 or is it too soon to tell?
00:07:46.540 He goes,
00:07:46.760 you know,
00:07:47.060 it's really too soon to tell.
00:07:49.400 No,
00:07:50.040 you might not be able
00:07:51.080 to get Christmas this year.
00:07:53.480 And then there was pushback
00:07:54.480 and he goes,
00:07:54.820 I never said
00:07:55.440 you couldn't have Christmas.
00:07:57.180 Yes,
00:07:57.600 you did.
00:07:58.460 You did.
00:07:58.960 You said it's too soon to tell,
00:08:00.180 meaning
00:08:00.500 there's a good chance
00:08:02.040 we don't have Christmas.
00:08:03.260 Then the pushback happened
00:08:04.380 and then you said,
00:08:04.940 no,
00:08:05.080 of course you're going
00:08:05.600 to have Christmas.
00:08:06.200 Never mind.
00:08:07.560 What changed
00:08:08.480 was not the science.
00:08:10.100 What changed
00:08:10.740 was the politics.
00:08:13.500 And this is,
00:08:14.460 frankly,
00:08:14.820 good news for us
00:08:15.640 because I know
00:08:17.400 that some people
00:08:17.920 are still believing
00:08:18.860 the ridiculous narrative
00:08:20.000 that the government
00:08:20.580 is putting out
00:08:21.240 that this is all based
00:08:22.340 on the science
00:08:23.160 or whatever,
00:08:23.860 but it's not.
00:08:24.500 It's not at all
00:08:25.160 based on the science,
00:08:26.420 whatever the science is.
00:08:27.400 It's based on
00:08:27.900 the political whims
00:08:29.000 of our leaders
00:08:29.720 and the bureaucrats
00:08:31.780 that they have put in charge.
00:08:33.580 And so,
00:08:34.600 the good news about that
00:08:35.600 is while we might not
00:08:36.260 be able to change
00:08:36.820 the laws of physics,
00:08:37.800 we might not be able
00:08:38.520 to change the chemistry
00:08:39.360 of a virus,
00:08:40.180 although Dr. Fauci
00:08:40.880 did a pretty good job
00:08:41.560 changing the chemistry
00:08:42.200 of a virus
00:08:42.740 by funding gain-of-function
00:08:43.780 research,
00:08:44.240 that's another subject.
00:08:45.140 What we can do
00:08:46.760 is change the political situation.
00:08:48.540 We can make it such that
00:08:49.640 these people
00:08:51.000 cannot get away with it.
00:08:52.460 One way to do it,
00:08:53.320 which I've been recommending
00:08:54.260 from,
00:08:55.240 if not day one
00:08:56.360 of the lockdowns,
00:08:57.420 at least day two,
00:08:58.840 is just ignore these people,
00:09:00.920 live your lives,
00:09:02.380 pay no heed
00:09:03.140 to the Fauci's of the world 0.97
00:09:04.480 and the bureaucrats
00:09:05.660 and the busy bodies
00:09:06.800 who tell you to muzzle up
00:09:07.900 all the time
00:09:08.460 and who tell you
00:09:09.000 to get 17,000 injections
00:09:10.460 and who tell you
00:09:11.400 not to have Christmas
00:09:12.120 and who tell you
00:09:12.680 not to get married
00:09:13.460 or go to your funerals,
00:09:15.180 not your funeral,
00:09:16.020 I hope,
00:09:16.620 to go to other family gatherings
00:09:18.500 and religious rituals.
00:09:19.360 Just go.
00:09:19.840 Just ignore them.
00:09:20.700 Just go.
00:09:21.240 Live your life.
00:09:22.220 Don't give them power
00:09:23.360 that they do not,
00:09:24.320 that they do not yet
00:09:26.560 at least possess.
00:09:29.160 Speaking of the holiday season,
00:09:30.400 it might be a leaner
00:09:31.080 holiday season for people,
00:09:32.240 not just Thanksgiving,
00:09:33.080 but I'm looking ahead
00:09:34.460 to Christmas.
00:09:35.900 The reason it might be
00:09:36.580 a little bit leaner
00:09:37.320 is that a very important
00:09:39.580 inflation measure
00:09:40.560 has reached its highest level
00:09:42.460 since 1991.
00:09:44.700 1991.
00:09:45.540 That was just about 20 years
00:09:46.840 after Joe Biden
00:09:47.660 first entered the U.S. Senate.
00:09:49.380 1991.
00:09:50.160 Now we're approaching 50 years
00:09:51.660 since he entered
00:09:52.220 national politics.
00:09:53.840 According to the Bureau
00:09:55.140 of Economic Analysis,
00:09:57.500 personal consumption spending,
00:10:00.840 so spending on your
00:10:01.820 personal consumption,
00:10:02.860 rose by $130.5 billion
00:10:05.920 in August.
00:10:07.400 So this is a 4.3%
00:10:09.200 year-over-year hike
00:10:10.120 in the personal consumption
00:10:11.460 expenditures price index.
00:10:13.460 Stick with me here
00:10:14.160 for a second.
00:10:16.020 Also in August,
00:10:17.660 personal income rose.
00:10:19.740 So the consumption spending
00:10:21.940 rose over $130 billion.
00:10:24.280 Personal income rose
00:10:25.820 $35.5 billion.
00:10:28.300 So there's about
00:10:29.080 a $95 billion gap here.
00:10:32.160 Personal consumption spending
00:10:33.720 increased $95 billion
00:10:35.780 more than income increased.
00:10:38.520 And by the way,
00:10:40.740 the only reason that income
00:10:42.080 increased that much
00:10:43.320 is because of the government
00:10:44.080 subsidies,
00:10:45.300 because the government
00:10:46.040 was just doling out money
00:10:47.140 to try to keep people going,
00:10:48.080 which is one of the things
00:10:49.440 that is leading
00:10:49.900 to this inflation.
00:10:51.140 Disposable income
00:10:51.920 only rose $18.9 billion.
00:10:55.720 So because the consumption spending
00:10:58.960 is vastly outpacing
00:11:00.460 the income growth,
00:11:03.780 or the growth of consumption spending
00:11:05.160 is vastly outpacing
00:11:06.100 the income growth,
00:11:07.460 purchasing power is diminishing.
00:11:09.020 Your dollar is going
00:11:10.240 much less far
00:11:12.520 than it used to go.
00:11:13.620 And this is really,
00:11:14.620 really bad news.
00:11:15.760 You are getting poorer
00:11:16.860 because of the Biden administration's
00:11:19.180 stupid policies.
00:11:20.460 That is happening
00:11:21.400 in real time.
00:11:22.540 Okay?
00:11:22.680 And it reminds us of
00:11:23.740 an eternal political truth
00:11:25.600 that the left always ignores
00:11:28.080 and that the right
00:11:28.940 sometimes ignores as well.
00:11:30.560 Namely,
00:11:32.140 eventually the bill comes due.
00:11:33.600 Eventually the bill comes due.
00:11:36.800 What you're hearing
00:11:37.460 from AOC right now,
00:11:38.800 notably,
00:11:39.240 but lots of Democrats,
00:11:40.140 is we can spend
00:11:41.100 a zillion dollars
00:11:41.840 and we can give people
00:11:42.680 freebies all the time
00:11:43.720 and we can shut down
00:11:44.500 the economy
00:11:44.980 and not work for a year
00:11:46.140 or more than a year
00:11:46.980 and it's going to be fine.
00:11:48.480 It's not going to cost you
00:11:49.540 anything, actually.
00:11:52.780 That situation
00:11:54.140 has never existed.
00:11:55.860 That has never existed
00:11:56.760 anywhere in the world.
00:11:57.860 People who are promising you that
00:11:59.040 are promising you something
00:12:00.280 that never was
00:12:01.040 and never will be.
00:12:02.980 Eventually the bill
00:12:03.760 is going to come due.
00:12:04.800 If you shut down
00:12:05.920 huge segments of the economy
00:12:07.160 for a year,
00:12:08.300 we're going to be
00:12:09.260 less prosperous.
00:12:10.340 We're going to be
00:12:10.700 less wealthy.
00:12:12.160 If you just print up
00:12:13.560 a bunch of money
00:12:14.120 and just give away
00:12:14.740 a bunch of money,
00:12:15.500 the money is going
00:12:16.280 to be less valuable.
00:12:18.280 Okay?
00:12:18.640 And that,
00:12:19.300 there's no magic wand
00:12:21.000 that Joe Biden
00:12:21.700 or anyone else can wave
00:12:22.720 to change that situation.
00:12:24.740 Now, if you do want
00:12:25.560 a really magical solution
00:12:27.060 to protect your family
00:12:28.080 and your home,
00:12:29.040 I recommend you check out Ring.
00:12:30.300 I've got some pretty
00:12:30.980 valuable stuff in my home.
00:12:32.960 I'm not talking about
00:12:33.860 furniture or,
00:12:35.680 I don't know,
00:12:36.420 jewelry or I actually
00:12:37.300 don't have a lot of
00:12:37.940 valuable stuff
00:12:38.440 with regard to that.
00:12:39.540 I do have valuable
00:12:40.840 wife and baby.
00:12:42.780 Okay?
00:12:43.060 And I want to make sure
00:12:43.780 that they are safe.
00:12:45.400 I love Ring Alarm.
00:12:47.360 I love it.
00:12:48.320 If I am in my home,
00:12:49.940 if I am in the office,
00:12:51.160 if I am on a beach
00:12:52.400 on the other side of the world,
00:12:53.320 if I'm on the road,
00:12:54.040 I do have to travel
00:12:54.760 a fair bit for work,
00:12:56.060 I can be totally safe
00:12:57.980 and secure that my wife
00:12:59.820 and my cute little baby
00:13:01.000 will know who is outside
00:13:02.380 the door before they
00:13:03.200 open that door.
00:13:04.320 And anyone actually
00:13:05.260 can keep an eye
00:13:06.000 on any,
00:13:06.980 any inch
00:13:07.880 of their house
00:13:09.180 inside,
00:13:09.920 outside with Ring Alarm.
00:13:11.400 It's super easy.
00:13:12.320 You can control it
00:13:13.020 from your phone,
00:13:13.800 protect your home
00:13:14.320 anytime,
00:13:15.400 from anywhere
00:13:16.020 with Ring Alarm.
00:13:17.080 So simple to install.
00:13:18.400 Even I can do it.
00:13:19.220 I'm not the handiest guy
00:13:20.160 in the world,
00:13:20.680 okay?
00:13:21.380 It'll just give you
00:13:22.060 peace of mind
00:13:22.700 and the price
00:13:23.880 is extraordinarily low.

00:13:33.400 That is ring.com
00:13:34.220 slash Knowles.
00:13:35.800 Huge problems
00:13:36.580 on the economy
00:13:37.220 right now,
00:13:38.060 especially with regard
00:13:39.120 to inflation.
00:13:39.880 Huge problems
00:13:40.480 on foreign policy.
00:13:41.620 You saw the collapse
00:13:42.200 of Afghanistan,
00:13:43.840 weakness
00:13:45.680 on the part
00:13:46.740 of the United States
00:13:47.480 on the world stage
00:13:48.540 or enemies aggressing.
00:13:49.920 You're seeing
00:13:50.200 a huge crisis
00:13:51.100 at the southern border
00:13:52.020 the immigration issue.
00:13:54.460 Thousands and thousands,
00:13:55.620 many, many thousands
00:13:56.280 of illegal aliens 0.93
00:13:57.500 pouring across the border.
00:13:58.540 Well over 1.2,
00:13:59.560 1.3 million illegal aliens
00:14:01.860 already in the country
00:14:02.740 this year
00:14:03.100 who are now harassing
00:14:04.140 U.S. senators
00:14:04.640 in the bathroom.
00:14:06.040 Really bad stuff.
00:14:07.420 Mr. President,
00:14:08.560 what is your answer
00:14:09.440 to all of these crises
00:14:10.440 that are going on
00:14:11.340 on your watch?
00:14:12.720 Parenthetically,
00:14:13.620 when you build
00:14:14.180 a charging station,
00:14:15.160 it's like back in the day
00:14:16.260 when my grandpa
00:14:16.940 worked for the
00:14:17.820 American Oil Company
00:14:18.780 back in the turn of the,
00:14:20.260 in the 1920s,
00:14:22.020 in that area.
00:14:23.340 They went from
00:14:24.120 state to state
00:14:25.240 convincing people
00:14:26.060 that they put,
00:14:27.180 allowed them to put
00:14:27.960 20,000 gallons
00:14:29.400 of gasoline
00:14:30.000 under the ground.
00:14:30.860 They didn't want
00:14:31.400 them around.
00:14:32.700 Thank you for clearing
00:14:33.660 that up,
00:14:34.080 Mr. President.
00:14:34.960 I,
00:14:35.460 I now am somehow
00:14:37.340 more confused
00:14:38.040 than I was
00:14:38.560 before you started
00:14:39.340 speaking.
00:14:41.360 We play these
00:14:42.380 every so often
00:14:43.140 on the show.
00:14:44.220 I guess more than
00:14:44.920 every so often
00:14:45.680 on the show.
00:14:46.220 These clips of Joe Biden
00:14:47.180 just rambling
00:14:48.200 incoherently,
00:14:49.580 often not even
00:14:50.460 speaking real English
00:14:51.740 words,
00:14:52.220 just sort of
00:14:52.660 slurring words,
00:14:54.000 making up words,
00:14:54.920 and then even if you
00:14:56.000 can make out the words
00:14:56.940 talking about things
00:14:57.780 that are just
00:14:58.140 completely out of
00:14:59.300 left field.
00:14:59.920 And my grandpapa
00:15:00.660 said,
00:15:01.140 when you see,
00:15:02.240 when you go to the
00:15:02.900 pool with the hairy
00:15:03.580 legs and the corn pop 0.92
00:15:04.680 says,
00:15:05.180 well,
00:15:05.560 hey,
00:15:06.180 chocka chocka chip,
00:15:07.540 chocka chocka chip.
00:15:09.140 Come on,
00:15:09.540 Jack.
00:15:10.740 We,
00:15:11.300 I play those
00:15:11.900 on the show
00:15:12.340 not to make fun
00:15:14.860 of Joe Biden
00:15:15.460 for being
00:15:16.080 a bit senile.
00:15:17.420 He's obviously
00:15:17.840 on the decline,
00:15:18.720 but happens to
00:15:19.960 everyone.
00:15:20.500 It'll happen,
00:15:20.980 it'll happen to
00:15:21.640 you too someday.
00:15:22.900 Not just to make
00:15:23.820 fun of him
00:15:24.320 for,
00:15:24.860 for being
00:15:25.500 not the brightest
00:15:26.840 bulb in the pack.
00:15:27.740 That's not a
00:15:28.340 function of age.
00:15:29.000 That's always been
00:15:29.540 true.
00:15:29.800 Joe Biden has
00:15:30.320 always been
00:15:30.840 at the lower
00:15:31.620 end of the IQ
00:15:32.420 spectrum in
00:15:33.060 Washington,
00:15:33.560 D.C.,
00:15:33.980 which is really
00:15:34.700 saying something.
00:15:36.200 But I,
00:15:37.100 I,
00:15:38.020 I mention it
00:15:39.200 because it
00:15:40.180 shows you that
00:15:40.940 there is not
00:15:41.820 a lucid person
00:15:42.980 at the helm
00:15:43.540 of the United States
00:15:44.240 government right
00:15:44.820 now.
00:15:45.640 Right?
00:15:46.120 The person
00:15:46.700 who is supposed
00:15:47.820 to be in charge,
00:15:48.980 Joe Biden,
00:15:49.800 does not really
00:15:51.480 know what's going
00:15:52.100 on.
00:15:52.580 Okay?
00:15:52.820 I'm not saying
00:15:53.400 he's a complete
00:15:53.920 vegetable and
00:15:54.620 they just,
00:15:55.340 you know,
00:15:55.680 put him in his
00:15:56.100 room and he
00:15:56.400 watches Matlock
00:15:57.080 all day.
00:15:57.560 They may do
00:15:58.080 that,
00:15:58.420 but,
00:15:58.600 but I'm not
00:15:59.400 even saying
00:15:59.820 that.
00:16:00.040 I'm sure he
00:16:00.380 goes to
00:16:00.660 meetings and
00:16:01.280 does some
00:16:03.000 things,
00:16:03.380 but he does
00:16:04.560 not have his
00:16:05.300 finger on the
00:16:05.900 pulse of what
00:16:06.680 is going on
00:16:07.400 in the government.
00:16:08.480 And so other
00:16:09.600 people are
00:16:10.440 taking advantage
00:16:11.500 and in some
00:16:12.020 cases the ball
00:16:12.640 is just being
00:16:13.120 dropped.
00:16:13.480 And so even
00:16:14.980 in the crises
00:16:16.060 that are not
00:16:16.580 manufactured for
00:16:17.380 Democrat political
00:16:18.140 advantage,
00:16:18.520 they're just
00:16:18.860 happening because
00:16:19.800 no one is
00:16:20.420 really running
00:16:20.980 the show.
00:16:21.300 You don't need
00:16:21.640 to take my
00:16:22.020 word for it.
00:16:23.220 I'm not just
00:16:23.780 making some
00:16:24.300 hack partisan
00:16:25.500 argument because
00:16:26.240 I don't like
00:16:26.680 Biden and so I'm
00:16:27.500 saying that he's
00:16:28.440 just a, you know,
00:16:29.260 completely
00:16:29.800 incompetent leader.
00:16:31.360 Talk to John
00:16:32.040 Kerry.
00:16:32.320 So John Kerry
00:16:33.080 works for Joe
00:16:34.040 Biden,
00:16:34.640 was a colleague
00:16:35.320 of Joe Biden
00:16:35.880 for many years
00:16:36.480 in the United
00:16:36.900 States Senate.
00:16:37.860 John Kerry,
00:16:38.340 former Secretary
00:16:38.820 of State,
00:16:39.160 now he's the
00:16:39.580 climate czar
00:16:40.460 for Joe Biden.
00:16:42.720 And so John
00:16:43.260 Kerry has always
00:16:43.840 had this very
00:16:44.560 close relationship
00:16:45.340 with the French,
00:16:46.680 which of course
00:16:47.520 just makes
00:16:48.100 perfect sense.
00:16:49.400 And the French
00:16:50.420 right now are
00:16:50.900 very upset with
00:16:51.560 the United States
00:16:52.180 because we've
00:16:52.700 formed a
00:16:53.240 partnership with
00:16:54.220 the United
00:16:54.560 Kingdom and
00:16:55.180 with Australia
00:16:55.860 to help stop
00:16:57.960 the rise of
00:16:58.760 China.
00:16:59.760 And France was
00:17:00.480 very upset by
00:17:01.020 this and they
00:17:01.520 pulled their
00:17:02.120 diplomats out
00:17:02.740 of the United
00:17:03.100 States and
00:17:03.580 they made a
00:17:03.900 big show.
00:17:04.860 And John
00:17:05.340 Kerry was
00:17:05.740 explaining how
00:17:06.540 this went
00:17:06.940 down and
00:17:08.040 made clear to
00:17:08.900 an interviewer
00:17:09.480 he was not
00:17:09.840 attacking Joe
00:17:10.700 Biden.
00:17:11.060 He actually
00:17:11.420 thought he was
00:17:11.940 sort of
00:17:12.160 defending Joe
00:17:12.740 Biden, I
00:17:13.120 think.
00:17:14.160 John Kerry
00:17:14.620 made clear
00:17:15.120 that not only
00:17:16.240 did Joe
00:17:16.680 Biden not
00:17:17.940 handle the
00:17:18.380 situation
00:17:18.840 correctly,
00:17:19.760 he didn't
00:17:20.600 even know
00:17:21.060 what the
00:17:21.440 situation was.
00:17:23.360 President
00:17:23.800 Biden asked
00:17:24.400 me about
00:17:24.840 it and I
00:17:25.280 told him
00:17:25.720 and expressed
00:17:26.600 you told
00:17:28.040 Joe Biden
00:17:28.440 that it was
00:17:28.960 not the
00:17:29.460 right.
00:17:29.600 He asked
00:17:29.960 me,
00:17:30.240 he said,
00:17:30.620 what's the
00:17:31.140 situation?
00:17:31.840 And I
00:17:32.120 explained
00:17:32.600 exactly,
00:17:33.920 he had not
00:17:34.780 been aware
00:17:35.240 of that.
00:17:35.980 He literally
00:17:36.520 had not
00:17:37.940 been aware
00:17:38.540 of what
00:17:39.940 had transpired
00:17:40.760 and I
00:17:41.540 don't want
00:17:41.820 to go
00:17:42.040 into the
00:17:42.440 details of
00:17:43.140 it,
00:17:43.400 but suffice
00:17:44.040 it to
00:17:44.380 say that
00:17:45.720 the president,
00:17:48.000 my president,
00:17:49.960 is very
00:17:50.620 committed
00:17:51.080 to strengthening
00:17:54.000 the relationship
00:17:55.280 and making
00:17:56.000 sure that
00:17:56.540 this is a
00:17:57.080 small event
00:17:57.740 of the
00:17:58.100 past
00:17:58.480 and moving
00:17:59.320 on to
00:17:59.740 the much
00:18:00.080 more
00:18:00.320 important
00:18:00.680 future.
00:18:02.160 That is
00:18:02.480 such a
00:18:03.020 sad
00:18:03.580 clarification
00:18:04.440 John Kerry
00:18:05.280 had to
00:18:05.580 make there.
00:18:06.540 It's not
00:18:07.440 headline,
00:18:08.820 John Kerry
00:18:09.420 destroys
00:18:10.560 Joe Biden.
00:18:11.140 He's not.
00:18:11.400 He thinks
00:18:11.700 he's defending
00:18:12.160 Joe Biden
00:18:12.640 because the
00:18:13.980 question is
00:18:14.500 how did
00:18:14.880 this happen?
00:18:15.460 Why did
00:18:16.340 the United
00:18:16.720 States
00:18:17.080 diss France
00:18:17.980 in this
00:18:18.320 way and
00:18:18.620 allow
00:18:18.840 France,
00:18:19.420 a decent
00:18:20.700 ally,
00:18:21.720 to now
00:18:23.060 pull their
00:18:23.560 diplomats and
00:18:24.300 now there's
00:18:24.560 all this
00:18:24.800 rancor
00:18:25.180 between the
00:18:25.580 two nations.
00:18:26.560 He said,
00:18:26.840 well,
00:18:27.060 you know,
00:18:27.320 look,
00:18:28.340 look here,
00:18:29.300 puppet,
00:18:29.760 look monkey,
00:18:30.560 I told
00:18:31.660 President Biden
00:18:32.480 that and
00:18:33.880 the reporter
00:18:34.520 asked for
00:18:35.180 clarification.
00:18:35.720 He goes,
00:18:36.060 you told him
00:18:36.700 that you did
00:18:37.280 not think it
00:18:37.920 was a good
00:18:38.460 idea.
00:18:39.360 Oh,
00:18:39.820 no,
00:18:40.080 I mean,
00:18:40.260 I literally
00:18:40.620 just told him
00:18:41.280 that like he
00:18:41.760 didn't know
00:18:42.060 what was
00:18:42.360 happening.
00:18:42.880 So I just
00:18:43.280 told him
00:18:43.620 what was
00:18:43.880 happening.
00:18:44.760 I said,
00:18:45.200 yes,
00:18:45.380 there's a
00:18:45.720 country called
00:18:46.740 France.
00:18:47.700 They speak
00:18:48.300 with a funny
00:18:48.780 accent and
00:18:49.600 they eat
00:18:50.040 snails and
00:18:51.100 they are very
00:18:52.260 upset with us
00:18:53.220 now,
00:18:53.740 Joe.
00:18:54.380 Why are they
00:18:54.740 upset,
00:18:55.180 John?
00:18:55.580 Well,
00:18:55.700 because,
00:18:56.200 and he had
00:18:56.660 to just
00:18:56.920 explain the
00:18:58.040 nuts and
00:18:58.520 bolts of
00:18:59.160 what had
00:18:59.400 happened.
00:18:59.780 Forget about
00:19:00.220 what the
00:19:00.540 right course
00:19:00.860 of action
00:19:01.160 was.
00:19:01.700 Forget about
00:19:02.000 what had
00:19:02.280 led to
00:19:02.960 that moment.
00:19:04.040 He had
00:19:04.300 to explain
00:19:04.780 that to
00:19:06.320 the president.
00:19:06.740 Why is that
00:19:07.260 John Kerry's
00:19:07.780 job?
00:19:08.620 The climate
00:19:09.160 czar.
00:19:11.220 It's not even
00:19:11.920 as though John
00:19:12.400 Kerry is the
00:19:12.840 secretary of
00:19:13.280 state anymore.
00:19:13.760 He hasn't
00:19:13.920 been the
00:19:14.100 secretary of
00:19:14.460 state in
00:19:14.640 a long
00:19:14.860 time.
00:19:15.520 It's because
00:19:16.400 the president
00:19:17.340 has no
00:19:18.700 idea what
00:19:19.860 is going
00:19:20.160 on.
00:19:20.380 He is
00:19:20.580 completely
00:19:21.140 checked
00:19:21.920 out.
00:19:22.460 And you
00:19:22.660 are seeing
00:19:23.040 this reflected
00:19:23.600 in our
00:19:24.360 national
00:19:25.580 policy.
00:19:26.540 So,
00:19:27.160 notably
00:19:27.460 at the
00:19:28.340 southern
00:19:28.580 border.
00:19:30.400 They're
00:19:30.600 border patrol
00:19:31.120 agents trying
00:19:31.800 to do their
00:19:32.120 job,
00:19:32.500 trying to
00:19:32.740 stop the
00:19:33.100 flow of
00:19:33.700 illegal aliens
00:19:35.240 pouring across
00:19:35.920 the border.
00:19:37.640 When they
00:19:39.260 are allowed
00:19:39.760 to do their
00:19:40.160 jobs,
00:19:40.560 they do a
00:19:40.840 pretty good
00:19:41.100 job of it.
00:19:42.340 When they
00:19:42.940 have their
00:19:43.240 hands tied
00:19:43.680 behind their
00:19:44.100 backs,
00:19:44.540 then the
00:19:44.980 illegal aliens
00:19:45.620 just pour
00:19:46.440 over.
00:19:46.800 Now they're
00:19:47.060 not even
00:19:47.320 allowed to
00:19:47.660 ride horses,
00:19:48.320 so they're
00:19:48.580 not even
00:19:49.080 allowed to
00:19:49.480 police certain
00:19:50.040 areas of
00:19:50.440 the border
00:19:50.800 anymore.
00:19:53.000 The border
00:19:53.560 patrol agents
00:19:54.360 just finally
00:19:56.360 caught up
00:19:56.780 with a
00:19:56.980 guy who
00:19:58.040 was sneaking
00:19:58.500 across the
00:19:59.020 border illegally
00:19:59.660 who had
00:20:00.900 previously been
00:20:02.000 deported for
00:20:04.460 murder.
00:20:06.140 So,
00:20:07.020 this was in
00:20:07.880 the Rio Grande
00:20:08.880 Valley sector
00:20:09.860 border patrol.
00:20:11.000 These agents
00:20:11.520 arrest an
00:20:12.460 illegal alien
00:20:13.300 who had been
00:20:14.380 convicted by a
00:20:16.120 Florida court
00:20:16.940 for homicide.
00:20:18.000 homicide.
00:20:19.940 So,
00:20:21.040 I guess it
00:20:22.120 could have
00:20:22.260 been manslaughter
00:20:22.860 too.
00:20:23.240 Either way,
00:20:23.660 I don't
00:20:23.860 really want
00:20:24.220 this guy in
00:20:24.620 the country.
00:20:25.580 The convicted
00:20:26.240 killer re-entered
00:20:27.400 the United
00:20:27.760 States with a
00:20:28.240 group of
00:20:28.500 five other
00:20:29.040 migrants.
00:20:29.880 They finally
00:20:30.820 caught up with
00:20:31.400 this guy.
00:20:32.120 And,
00:20:32.320 you know,
00:20:32.600 there's some
00:20:33.600 percentage of
00:20:34.120 the illegal
00:20:34.520 aliens that
00:20:35.020 they do
00:20:35.300 catch up
00:20:35.720 with.
00:20:36.540 There's a
00:20:36.820 far greater
00:20:37.220 percentage
00:20:37.640 that they
00:20:38.040 don't,
00:20:38.440 who just
00:20:38.660 get released
00:20:39.100 into the
00:20:39.440 country,
00:20:39.920 and that's
00:20:40.280 that.
00:20:41.540 But this
00:20:41.960 guy,
00:20:42.400 one of the
00:20:42.760 migrants,
00:20:43.120 a Honduran
00:20:43.560 national,
00:20:44.480 has a
00:20:44.820 conviction from
00:20:45.460 a Miami
00:20:45.860 court for
00:20:48.000 more of
00:20:48.280 these guys
00:20:48.820 are coming
00:20:49.300 into the
00:20:49.640 country.
00:20:50.840 How?
00:20:52.120 How many?
00:20:54.660 They're just
00:20:55.300 trying to be
00:20:55.660 liberated.
00:20:56.340 They're just
00:20:56.680 coming from
00:20:57.120 Latin America
00:20:57.680 to be
00:20:58.020 liberated.
00:20:58.540 Speaking of
00:20:59.460 liberation
00:21:00.780 movements from
00:21:01.620 Latin America,
00:21:02.700 there's a
00:21:03.080 clip going
00:21:03.540 around right
00:21:04.160 now of
00:21:05.600 Ibram Kendi.
00:21:06.400 He's sort
00:21:06.740 of the
00:21:07.200 mac daddy
00:21:08.280 of anti-racism.
00:21:10.280 This new
00:21:11.220 ideology that's
00:21:12.160 very influenced
00:21:12.800 by critical
00:21:13.580 race theory
00:21:14.200 and other
00:21:15.280 radical leftist
00:21:16.760 movements from
00:21:17.260 the 20th
00:21:17.700 century.
00:21:18.560 So Kendi
00:21:18.880 was speaking
00:21:19.420 at a
00:21:19.780 church,
00:21:20.340 I put
00:21:20.600 that in
00:21:20.900 quotes,
00:21:21.300 I'm not
00:21:21.580 sure the
00:21:22.020 exact nature
00:21:22.720 of this
00:21:22.980 church,
00:21:23.260 doesn't
00:21:23.460 sound very
00:21:23.760 Christian to
00:21:24.200 me,
00:21:25.100 and Kendi
00:21:25.480 explained the
00:21:27.320 religious
00:21:27.920 underpinnings
00:21:28.780 of his
00:21:29.460 ideology.
00:21:30.900 Liberation
00:21:31.540 theology.
00:21:32.660 In other
00:21:33.000 words,
00:21:33.540 Jesus was
00:21:35.300 a revolutionary
00:21:35.900 and the
00:21:38.220 job of the
00:21:38.900 Christian is
00:21:40.240 to revolutionize
00:21:41.100 society.
00:21:41.940 That the
00:21:42.840 job of the
00:21:43.480 Christian is
00:21:44.100 to liberate
00:21:44.820 society from
00:21:46.580 the powers
00:21:47.800 on earth
00:21:49.360 that are
00:21:50.080 oppressing
00:21:50.600 humanity.
00:21:52.520 Everybody
00:21:52.760 understand that?
00:21:53.540 So that's
00:21:54.860 liberation
00:21:55.400 theology in a
00:21:56.220 nutshell.
00:21:57.300 Savior theology
00:21:58.440 is a different
00:22:00.660 type of
00:22:01.100 theology.
00:22:01.640 The job of
00:22:02.220 the Christian
00:22:02.800 is to go
00:22:04.260 out and
00:22:05.480 save these
00:22:07.120 individuals who
00:22:09.180 are behaviorally
00:22:10.420 deficient.
00:22:11.480 In other words,
00:22:12.460 we're to bring
00:22:13.040 them into the
00:22:13.660 church these
00:22:15.100 individuals who
00:22:16.840 are doing all
00:22:18.100 of these evil
00:22:18.940 sinful things
00:22:20.040 and heal them
00:22:21.120 and save
00:22:22.480 them.
00:22:23.580 And then once
00:22:24.340 we've saved
00:22:24.980 them, we've
00:22:26.100 done our
00:22:26.460 jobs.
00:22:28.860 And to me,
00:22:29.940 anti-racists
00:22:30.940 fundamentally
00:22:32.200 reject
00:22:33.300 savior theology.
00:22:35.940 This is a
00:22:36.880 very telling
00:22:37.840 clip.
00:22:38.300 This is a
00:22:38.620 very important
00:22:39.140 clip for
00:22:39.560 understanding the
00:22:40.240 anti-racist
00:22:41.200 movement.
00:22:41.580 So from the
00:22:42.900 beginning, you
00:22:43.480 can tell that
00:22:44.600 Ibram Kendi,
00:22:45.420 though he seems
00:22:46.460 to be talking
00:22:46.920 about Christianity,
00:22:48.020 is not.
00:22:48.960 You can tell
00:22:49.400 this from the
00:22:49.780 very first
00:22:50.220 sentence when
00:22:51.340 Ibram Kendi
00:22:51.940 says, Jesus
00:22:53.560 was a
00:22:54.340 revolutionary.
00:22:55.200 As a general
00:22:55.980 rule, if
00:22:57.300 someone is
00:22:58.360 referring to
00:22:59.380 Jesus exclusively 0.63
00:23:01.200 in the past
00:23:02.100 tense, there's a
00:23:03.720 very good chance
00:23:04.520 you're not
00:23:04.940 dealing with a
00:23:05.500 Christian because 0.90
00:23:06.860 Christians believe
00:23:07.840 that Christ was
00:23:09.180 crucified.
00:23:10.560 He died.
00:23:11.580 And rose
00:23:12.320 again from
00:23:12.780 the dead, and
00:23:13.400 lives.
00:23:14.160 My Redeemer
00:23:14.920 lives.
00:23:15.500 This is
00:23:15.760 something we
00:23:17.020 say very
00:23:17.620 often.
00:23:18.100 This is
00:23:18.380 central to
00:23:19.200 our
00:23:19.740 understanding
00:23:20.300 of the
00:23:21.100 world.
00:23:22.800 If you
00:23:23.380 do not, I
00:23:24.020 mean, Christ
00:23:24.400 himself says
00:23:24.880 this before
00:23:25.280 Abraham was
00:23:25.960 I am, that
00:23:26.660 he is the
00:23:28.060 being himself.
00:23:30.700 Right?
00:23:30.920 I am.
00:23:31.680 I am that I
00:23:32.320 am is what
00:23:32.720 God says his
00:23:33.400 name is when
00:23:34.100 he's speaking
00:23:34.620 to Moses.
00:23:35.880 So from the
00:23:36.720 very beginning,
00:23:37.220 we can see
00:23:37.520 Ibram Kendi,
00:23:38.560 whatever he's
00:23:38.980 talking about,
00:23:39.420 it's not really
00:23:40.200 Christianity, but 0.89
00:23:40.960 this difference
00:23:41.420 between liberation
00:23:42.140 and savior
00:23:43.360 theology, in
00:23:44.200 his words.
00:23:44.980 This is the
00:23:45.740 difference between
00:23:46.320 Christianity and
00:23:47.120 this radical sort
00:23:48.460 of leftism.
00:23:50.480 Now, when you
00:23:51.540 want to make
00:23:53.300 sure that your
00:23:55.200 future is
00:23:56.420 protected, your
00:23:56.960 financial future
00:23:57.560 is protected,
00:23:58.180 even among all
00:23:59.060 these crazy times,
00:24:00.560 I would strongly
00:24:01.080 recommend you
00:24:01.640 check out

00:24:07.540 getting involved.

00:24:08.520 interview on
00:24:08.980 this show
00:24:09.440 with a
00:24:09.820 big crypto
00:24:10.340 guy not
00:24:11.260 too long
00:24:11.760 ago.
00:24:13.620 Very often,
00:24:14.760 when people
00:24:15.200 are beginning
00:24:15.700 to invest
00:24:16.180 in crypto,
00:24:16.660 they're doing
00:24:17.000 so in,
00:24:18.120 how do I
00:24:18.580 put this,
00:24:18.920 not the

00:25:44.040 right back with a
00:25:44.640 lot more.
00:25:57.520 Ibram Kendi, who is
00:25:58.820 presently the head
00:26:00.020 honcho of anti-racism,
00:26:01.620 the capo de tutti
00:26:02.520 copy of race
00:26:03.320 hustlers.
00:26:04.300 Ibram Kendi
00:26:05.240 has this viral
00:26:08.100 video that was
00:26:08.720 going around of
00:26:09.720 him speaking in
00:26:10.560 some sort of
00:26:11.200 church or some
00:26:11.960 sort of building
00:26:12.560 and congregation
00:26:13.820 that referred to
00:26:14.280 itself as a
00:26:14.780 church about
00:26:15.520 liberation theology.
00:26:17.160 And he says,
00:26:18.000 liberation theology
00:26:19.180 holds that the
00:26:19.920 purpose of
00:26:20.580 Christianity and
00:26:21.660 of the Christian
00:26:22.160 in the world is
00:26:22.720 to liberate
00:26:23.360 everybody from
00:26:24.300 the bonds of
00:26:25.080 oppression and
00:26:25.960 tradition and
00:26:27.140 whatever else.
00:26:28.740 He says,
00:26:29.520 this contrasts
00:26:30.900 with savior
00:26:31.540 theology, which
00:26:33.000 holds that the
00:26:34.160 role of the
00:26:34.840 Christian in the
00:26:35.320 world is to go
00:26:35.820 evangelize and
00:26:36.520 spread the gospel
00:26:37.160 and bring people
00:26:38.020 into the body of
00:26:38.580 Christ.
00:26:38.960 So what Ibram Kendi
00:26:40.180 is derisively
00:26:40.980 referring to as
00:26:41.640 savior theology is
00:26:42.860 also just known as
00:26:43.580 Christianity.
00:26:44.400 That Christianity, 1.00
00:26:45.160 which is the point
00:26:45.600 is to spread the
00:26:46.500 good news just as
00:26:47.600 the apostles did,
00:26:48.460 just as the
00:26:50.040 disciples of Jesus
00:26:50.780 did, go out and
00:26:51.480 spread the good news
00:26:52.080 of the gospel,
00:26:52.680 bring people into
00:26:53.200 the body of
00:26:53.620 Christ and save
00:26:54.820 them.
00:26:55.180 Ibram Kendi
00:26:55.620 says this is very
00:26:56.460 bad.
00:26:57.200 We cannot go out
00:26:57.980 and save people.
00:26:58.820 If you go out
00:26:59.680 there and you
00:27:00.140 say people are
00:27:00.720 doing bad things
00:27:01.600 and they need to
00:27:02.040 stop doing bad
00:27:02.740 things and start
00:27:03.300 doing good things
00:27:04.080 and accept Jesus
00:27:05.640 and come into the
00:27:07.280 church, that's
00:27:07.840 very bad, that's
00:27:08.820 oppressive, that
00:27:10.580 reeks of white
00:27:11.720 supremacy or
00:27:12.660 whatever.
00:27:13.920 So we can't have
00:27:14.780 any of that.
00:27:15.280 Instead, we need
00:27:15.840 to liberate people
00:27:16.960 and the key here
00:27:18.740 is this word
00:27:19.460 liberation.
00:27:21.740 Because to my
00:27:22.680 mind, to my
00:27:23.780 mind as a
00:27:24.700 Catholic, as a
00:27:25.880 Christian, in the 0.87
00:27:27.080 broadest sense, the
00:27:28.880 two are the same
00:27:29.540 thing.
00:27:30.240 The two are the
00:27:30.700 same thing.
00:27:31.620 When you come to
00:27:33.900 faith, when you
00:27:35.220 accept Jesus, when
00:27:37.860 you accept theological
00:27:39.560 religious truth, you
00:27:41.400 are freed.
00:27:42.320 You are freed from
00:27:43.080 the bonds of sin.
00:27:45.940 And what does it
00:27:46.780 mean to be freed of
00:27:47.400 the bonds of sin?
00:27:48.060 Well, you see it in
00:27:49.220 the gospels.
00:27:50.200 Jesus says the man
00:27:51.100 who sins is a slave
00:27:52.200 to sin.
00:27:53.300 Take the religious 0.97
00:27:54.380 stuff away for a
00:27:56.020 moment.
00:27:56.260 Just focus on this
00:27:56.960 very practical,
00:27:58.280 tangible way.
00:27:59.380 We all know that
00:28:00.560 when we sin, when
00:28:01.540 we pick up bad
00:28:02.380 habits, we become
00:28:04.160 slaves to those
00:28:04.960 sins.
00:28:05.180 We call this
00:28:05.580 addiction.
00:28:06.660 When you do too
00:28:07.880 many drugs, all of
00:28:08.720 a sudden, you can't
00:28:09.480 control whether or
00:28:10.240 not you do the
00:28:10.720 drugs.
00:28:11.140 Your lower will
00:28:12.320 runs away with
00:28:13.080 you.
00:28:13.260 Your appetite runs
00:28:14.020 away with you.
00:28:14.760 You can't do it.
00:28:15.340 This is true even
00:28:16.020 with food.
00:28:17.100 If you overeat, you
00:28:18.220 can't put down that
00:28:18.940 cupcake.
00:28:19.360 You can't say no.
00:28:20.100 You don't have
00:28:20.520 self-control.
00:28:21.340 The point of
00:28:21.760 liberal education,
00:28:23.220 which we mention
00:28:23.700 on the show a lot,
00:28:24.640 is to make sense of
00:28:25.420 your freedom, tamp
00:28:26.340 down those base
00:28:26.940 appetites, cultivate
00:28:28.000 the higher rational
00:28:28.980 will, which
00:28:29.640 mediates between
00:28:30.260 the appetite and
00:28:30.920 the divine will.
00:28:31.660 Okay, that's the
00:28:32.400 two-second summary
00:28:33.960 of what we mean
00:28:35.100 by this.
00:28:36.460 What Ibram Kendi
00:28:37.920 believes is that
00:28:39.060 true liberation is
00:28:40.400 being able to do
00:28:41.400 whatever you want.
00:28:43.840 I think it even
00:28:44.600 goes further.
00:28:45.300 True liberation is
00:28:46.600 the freedom to
00:28:47.960 commit vice and
00:28:48.860 sin and to pursue
00:28:49.580 your appetites.
00:28:50.280 And that is slavery.
00:28:52.780 That is a Christianity 1.00
00:28:55.500 without Christ.
00:28:57.020 That is Christianity 0.97
00:28:57.660 without God.
00:28:59.200 Because you can do
00:29:00.500 it all yourself.
00:29:01.380 As long as we,
00:29:03.320 the liberators,
00:29:04.980 come in and we
00:29:06.360 free you from the
00:29:07.100 bonds of tradition,
00:29:08.100 as long as the
00:29:08.620 anti-racists go in
00:29:09.640 and free you from
00:29:10.180 the bonds of
00:29:11.260 whatever oppressive
00:29:12.140 social structures
00:29:13.000 there are, then you
00:29:14.060 can be free to do
00:29:14.700 whatever you want.
00:29:15.300 And you don't need
00:29:15.760 God.
00:29:16.060 And you don't need
00:29:16.560 Christ.
00:29:17.020 And you don't need
00:29:17.500 grace and you
00:29:18.120 don't need a
00:29:18.480 religion.
00:29:20.560 It is a God
00:29:22.840 without wrath
00:29:23.440 leading a people
00:29:23.940 without sin into
00:29:24.560 a kingdom without
00:29:25.120 judgment through
00:29:25.740 the ministrations
00:29:26.320 of a Christ
00:29:26.780 without a cross 0.98
00:29:27.460 so that you can
00:29:28.880 do you and do
00:29:29.640 whatever you want.
00:29:30.420 It's the opposite
00:29:31.220 of Christianity,
00:29:32.040 but it adopts the
00:29:33.140 language of
00:29:34.280 Christianity.
00:29:35.920 And this, it's
00:29:37.600 important to know
00:29:38.300 where this ideology
00:29:39.020 comes from because
00:29:39.620 it's pervading all
00:29:40.520 the military now,
00:29:41.520 the schools,
00:29:42.360 our workplaces,
00:29:43.480 but it comes down
00:29:44.760 to that same old
00:29:45.780 problem that we've
00:29:46.480 been talking about.
00:29:47.500 The problem of
00:29:48.080 liberty, what do
00:29:48.540 we mean by
00:29:48.920 liberty?
00:29:49.460 Is liberty just
00:29:50.140 the ability to do
00:29:50.920 whatever you want
00:29:51.460 or is it the
00:29:52.740 right to do
00:29:53.200 what you ought
00:29:53.760 to do?
00:29:55.100 A related point
00:29:56.400 from Jennifer
00:29:57.340 Aniston, you know
00:29:58.080 that other great
00:29:58.760 philosopher, Jennifer
00:29:59.840 Aniston, Rachel
00:30:01.340 from Friends.
00:30:02.120 Jennifer Aniston
00:30:02.680 just posted a
00:30:04.620 series of stories
00:30:06.260 to her Instagram
00:30:06.960 talking about how
00:30:08.740 upset she is that
00:30:09.800 babies in Texas
00:30:10.520 won't be killed
00:30:11.240 quite as often
00:30:12.300 anymore.
00:30:13.180 She hates the
00:30:13.620 pro-life laws.
00:30:14.940 She supports the
00:30:16.720 abortion industry
00:30:19.380 and she posted
00:30:20.480 a clip of herself
00:30:21.360 from that
00:30:22.000 absolutely
00:30:22.640 insufferable
00:30:23.320 show, Friends,
00:30:24.980 and she writes
00:30:27.760 in it, I repeat,
00:30:29.020 no uterus,
00:30:30.440 no opinion.
00:30:32.140 So if you're
00:30:32.680 not a woman,
00:30:33.760 you have no
00:30:34.660 right to have
00:30:35.800 an opinion
00:30:36.120 about abortion.
00:30:38.600 I mention it,
00:30:39.660 look, Jennifer
00:30:40.320 Aniston is not,
00:30:41.360 I don't think
00:30:41.820 she's the leading
00:30:43.020 mind on public
00:30:44.040 matters in this
00:30:44.780 country, but a
00:30:45.860 lot of people
00:30:46.320 say this, and we
00:30:46.940 talk about a lot
00:30:47.440 of other stupid 0.52
00:30:47.980 slogans in the
00:30:48.600 pro-abortion
00:30:49.020 movement.
00:30:49.680 This one may be
00:30:51.080 the stupidest. 0.90
00:30:53.180 One, now it's
00:30:54.000 becoming outdated.
00:30:55.020 I think Jennifer
00:30:55.820 Aniston is revealing
00:30:56.860 how unhip she is 0.92
00:30:58.780 because, of course,
00:30:59.520 we're now told that
00:31:00.620 non-women can become 1.00
00:31:03.060 pregnant.
00:31:03.520 Men can become
00:31:04.080 pregnant, non-binary,
00:31:06.060 you know, all sorts
00:31:06.720 of made-up sexes and 0.98
00:31:08.080 genders, they can
00:31:09.040 become pregnant too,
00:31:09.840 so that distinction
00:31:10.500 no longer exists.
00:31:11.580 But also, even the
00:31:14.040 principle that unless
00:31:16.120 you can perform a
00:31:19.160 certain action, you
00:31:20.180 should have no say in
00:31:24.320 that action as a
00:31:25.060 matter of public
00:31:25.600 policy, we don't
00:31:26.360 apply that to any
00:31:27.560 other aspect of
00:31:29.040 society, right?
00:31:30.860 We don't say, well,
00:31:31.900 unless you have
00:31:33.140 tumors, you can't
00:31:34.360 make cancer policy.
00:31:36.000 No tumor, no
00:31:37.800 opinion.
00:31:39.400 We don't say, well,
00:31:40.280 unless you have
00:31:42.460 murdered someone, you 0.98
00:31:43.900 do not have the
00:31:44.640 right to craft laws
00:31:45.960 about murder.
00:31:47.440 Well, unless you
00:31:48.580 this, unless you
00:31:49.440 that, unless you
00:31:50.120 this, unless you
00:31:50.740 that.
00:31:50.920 No, of course not.
00:31:52.420 We wouldn't do, we
00:31:54.160 wouldn't, we wouldn't
00:31:55.020 tolerate that because
00:31:55.720 politics refers to the
00:31:57.640 public, refers to
00:31:58.820 public matters, not
00:31:59.560 just personal matters,
00:32:01.040 public matters as
00:32:01.980 well.
00:32:03.600 To say nothing of the
00:32:04.920 fact that abortion
00:32:05.680 involves another
00:32:06.720 person, not just you
00:32:08.580 and not just the
00:32:10.080 mother, but also the
00:32:11.120 baby, right?
00:32:13.040 So they repeat
00:32:16.600 these slogans on the
00:32:17.880 left because they
00:32:19.140 don't have arguments
00:32:19.900 to make, but a lot
00:32:20.780 of people confuse
00:32:21.820 cheap slogans with
00:32:23.300 arguments and it's
00:32:24.060 important every so
00:32:25.060 often to remind
00:32:25.820 ourselves that these
00:32:26.860 things that we hear
00:32:27.860 that just my body,
00:32:28.700 my choice,
00:32:29.220 reproductive rights,
00:32:30.060 no uterus, no 1.00
00:32:30.760 opinion, blah, blah,
00:32:32.000 blah, blah, blah,
00:32:33.060 blah, blah, that we
00:32:35.000 can become, I
00:32:37.420 don't know, asleep.
00:32:40.080 We can become
00:32:40.640 unconscious of just
00:32:41.960 how stupid these
00:32:43.220 arguments are.
00:32:44.960 And the reason it
00:32:45.700 matters that Jennifer
00:32:46.360 Aniston said it is
00:32:47.200 because that show had
00:32:48.040 such cultural influence.
00:32:50.120 I actually enjoyed the
00:32:51.240 show when it was on
00:32:51.800 the air.
00:32:52.320 I recently went back
00:32:53.400 and tried to watch it.
00:32:54.380 It's unwatchable.
00:32:55.420 It's so, it's so
00:32:56.540 trite.
00:32:57.520 It is so wrong.
00:33:00.360 Like every decision
00:33:01.220 these people make is
00:33:02.120 just wrong and bad
00:33:03.620 for them and it's
00:33:05.360 not all that funny
00:33:06.960 even and it's just
00:33:08.080 so shallow and in a
00:33:10.480 way, in a way, it's
00:33:11.380 actually quite radical
00:33:12.240 but that's how the
00:33:13.280 establishment pushes
00:33:14.740 their agenda.
00:33:16.360 Okay, very important
00:33:17.420 to see through these
00:33:18.460 things.
00:33:18.960 It's very, very
00:33:19.440 difficult in a world
00:33:21.100 where, where the
00:33:22.040 entire establishment
00:33:23.120 is pushing these
00:33:24.280 shallow messages.
00:33:25.740 What we're hearing
00:33:26.540 from the elected
00:33:28.200 representatives now on
00:33:29.280 the left is don't
00:33:30.900 pay attention to those
00:33:31.740 details.
00:33:32.200 Don't pay attention to
00:33:32.860 those facts.
00:33:33.620 AOC just goes on one
00:33:34.680 of the Sunday shows.
00:33:35.640 She says, look, when
00:33:36.260 you're talking about
00:33:36.920 the big budget bill,
00:33:38.160 don't focus on the
00:33:39.620 numbers.
00:33:40.520 President Biden,
00:33:41.280 according to our
00:33:41.980 reporting from Ed O'Keefe,
00:33:43.380 our correspondent,
00:33:44.300 says you're going to
00:33:45.380 have to settle for
00:33:46.680 about $2 trillion.
00:33:48.500 Is that an acceptable
00:33:49.980 ceiling for you?
00:33:51.560 So here's where I
00:33:53.080 think the problem is,
00:33:53.960 is that when we talk
00:33:54.960 about top-line numbers,
00:33:57.000 there's a lot that is
00:33:59.220 hidden in that
00:34:00.620 discussion.
00:34:01.120 And so the reason
00:34:03.200 why this, this
00:34:04.560 conversation shouldn't
00:34:05.460 be about numbers,
00:34:06.240 but it should be about
00:34:07.200 what substantive
00:34:08.420 programs are, are
00:34:09.960 willing to be
00:34:11.020 excluded or that.
00:34:12.580 It's coming from the 0.71
00:34:13.040 White House.
00:34:13.860 Yeah, but the, the
00:34:14.900 White House isn't
00:34:15.560 making the demands to
00:34:16.960 exclude universal
00:34:18.080 child care or universal
00:34:19.480 pre-K.
00:34:20.180 This is coming from the
00:34:21.280 more conservative wing
00:34:22.180 of the Democratic Party.
00:34:23.040 And those are the, but
00:34:23.700 those are the
00:34:24.120 conversations that we
00:34:24.920 need to have.
00:34:26.360 When you're talking
00:34:27.200 about the budget, you
00:34:28.200 shouldn't talk about
00:34:28.800 numbers.
00:34:29.180 That's what AOC says.
00:34:31.340 And you know what?
00:34:32.580 Oh, I hate to say it.
00:34:33.680 I, I hate to say it.
00:34:36.400 She's right.
00:34:37.680 She's right.
00:34:39.440 I mean, she's not right
00:34:40.960 if you're an accountant.
00:34:42.720 She's not right if you
00:34:44.320 care about the health
00:34:45.800 of the national economy.
00:34:47.620 But she is right as a 0.72
00:34:49.140 political matter.
00:34:50.520 What she's saying is,
00:34:52.300 yeah, these Democrats
00:34:53.240 say three and a half
00:34:53.920 trillion dollars is too
00:34:55.400 much money.
00:34:56.300 You only want two 0.88
00:34:57.040 trillion dollars.
00:34:57.560 Okay, what program
00:34:58.560 do you want to cut?
00:35:00.200 Oh, you want to cut
00:35:01.200 universal pre-K?
00:35:03.040 First of all, I don't
00:35:03.800 think pre-K should even
00:35:05.000 exist.
00:35:05.280 I didn't go to pre-K.
00:35:06.660 Did you go to pre-K?
00:35:07.540 I did not go to pre-K.
00:35:09.140 I, I made it out just
00:35:10.320 fine.
00:35:10.660 I learned my letters and
00:35:11.720 numbers just fine without
00:35:13.000 pre-K.
00:35:13.720 Now, now I actually have
00:35:15.080 friends, I kid you not,
00:35:16.060 who say they're sending
00:35:16.900 their kids to school at
00:35:18.800 age two.
00:35:20.040 Because they don't, they
00:35:21.340 don't want to say that
00:35:21.900 they're sending the kid to
00:35:22.600 daycare.
00:35:23.500 So it has to be really
00:35:24.700 fancy.
00:35:25.040 So I say, I'm sending
00:35:26.060 my, my child to school.
00:35:28.720 You're a child who can't
00:35:30.480 speak and who drools all
00:35:31.660 day.
00:35:31.940 They're going to school.
00:35:32.780 What are they, they're
00:35:33.460 going to work on, you
00:35:35.060 know, differential
00:35:35.580 equations or something?
00:35:36.700 No, I don't think so.
00:35:38.100 But the reason for this is
00:35:40.360 that the reason as a
00:35:42.200 political matter that the
00:35:43.140 left pushes pre-K and
00:35:45.040 pre-pre-K and post high
00:35:46.360 school and post college and
00:35:47.620 everyone needs to get a
00:35:48.300 PhD in gender studies is
00:35:50.100 so that the influence of
00:35:51.660 the family on the
00:35:52.680 individual will be
00:35:53.460 diminished and the
00:35:54.400 influence of the state
00:35:55.220 will be increased.
00:35:56.260 And this is not some
00:35:57.020 crazy conspiracy theory.
00:35:58.780 I mean, this has been in
00:36:00.140 the discussion of
00:36:00.780 political philosophy going
00:36:01.700 back to Plato at least.
00:36:03.520 And the left is pretty
00:36:05.120 open about this, that
00:36:06.060 they do not want these
00:36:07.620 families with their
00:36:08.480 peculiar traditions and
00:36:09.580 their Bible thumping to
00:36:10.980 form children.
00:36:12.660 They believe that it's the
00:36:13.860 state's role to form
00:36:15.300 these children.
00:36:16.140 And so they push for
00:36:17.120 these things.
00:36:17.920 And the reason that
00:36:19.420 parents are tempted to do
00:36:20.440 it is because it's a
00:36:21.780 tough economy out there.
00:36:23.000 And you can't really
00:36:23.960 survive.
00:36:24.660 Most people cannot
00:36:25.240 really survive on one
00:36:26.140 income.
00:36:26.840 And so both parents have
00:36:27.640 to work.
00:36:27.940 So you got to pay someone
00:36:28.620 to watch your kid.
00:36:29.720 You've got to, the wife 0.89
00:36:31.260 has to go work for some
00:36:32.100 guy so that she can make 1.00
00:36:33.520 money so that the guy
00:36:34.660 can pay some other, so
00:36:35.720 that the husband can go
00:36:36.460 pay some other woman to 1.00
00:36:37.520 go raise the kid. 0.96
00:36:38.280 And it's a very convoluted
00:36:39.220 system.
00:36:40.000 But as a result, a lot of
00:36:41.880 people are going to say,
00:36:42.620 well, hold on, you better
00:36:43.960 not cut my pre-K.
00:36:45.340 Hold on, you better not
00:36:46.280 cut whatever goodie
00:36:47.860 program I want in the
00:36:49.360 budget.
00:36:49.600 And that's how you get
00:36:51.940 to preserve the three
00:36:52.760 and a half trillion
00:36:53.240 dollar budget.
00:36:54.440 It's because no one
00:36:55.280 wants to cut the specific
00:36:56.840 programs.
00:36:57.440 It's a political matter.
00:36:58.360 AOC is absolutely right.
00:36:59.420 And I wish Republicans
00:37:00.060 would learn from her.
00:37:00.980 Nancy Pelosi said the
00:37:01.860 same thing the other day.
00:37:02.580 She said, let's not talk
00:37:03.600 about numbers.
00:37:04.100 Let's talk about values.
00:37:05.660 Yeah.
00:37:05.940 Hey, Republicans, take
00:37:07.080 notes.
00:37:08.140 Get your, get your pen
00:37:09.000 out and take notes.
00:37:10.160 Stop just talking about,
00:37:11.000 well, actually, you know,
00:37:11.880 but if the GDP, well,
00:37:13.280 blah, blah, blah, who
00:37:13.780 cares?
00:37:14.480 Who cares?
00:37:14.940 What do you want to do
00:37:15.860 with the money?
00:37:16.440 What do you want to do
00:37:16.980 with the government?
00:37:17.820 Why should we vote for
00:37:18.920 you?
00:37:19.620 What are you going to do
00:37:20.160 with it?
00:37:20.540 What are you going to do
00:37:21.000 with the power?
00:37:22.140 The left is giving us a
00:37:23.240 vision.
00:37:23.700 It's a bad vision.
00:37:24.940 What are you giving us?
00:37:25.880 Well, what we're going to
00:37:26.920 do is we're going to
00:37:27.380 outsource even more jobs
00:37:28.260 so the GDP takes up
00:37:29.180 another $20.
00:37:30.380 Oh, oh, cool, bro.
00:37:31.680 Great.
00:37:32.000 I can't, I'm definitely
00:37:32.640 going to vote for you
00:37:33.160 then.
00:37:33.540 That makes a lot of
00:37:34.100 sense.
00:37:35.600 Speaking of wealthy
00:37:36.320 Americans, most wealthy
00:37:38.580 Americans find themselves 0.96
00:37:40.620 in a conundrum right now.
00:37:42.460 And it's a conundrum that
00:37:43.520 we actually talked about
00:37:44.500 with respect to AOC
00:37:46.300 yesterday.
00:37:47.300 The conundrum is this.
00:37:48.460 They've got a lot of
00:37:49.280 money, but they don't
00:37:50.400 trust their lazy kids
00:37:51.760 not to squander their
00:37:53.220 money and ruin their
00:37:55.180 own lives in the
00:37:56.500 process.
00:37:57.240 There's a survey that
00:37:58.320 just came out from the
00:38:00.240 Motley Fool that shows,
00:38:02.780 it was a survey of 2,000
00:38:04.020 American adults with net
00:38:04.980 worths over $1 million.
00:38:06.340 dollars and a little over
00:38:08.720 three quarters of these
00:38:09.780 individuals plan to leave
00:38:11.040 inheritances and almost as
00:38:14.640 many, 76% say they're going
00:38:16.140 to leave inheritances and I
00:38:18.200 guess a quarter of them are
00:38:18.920 just going to go on a
00:38:19.440 spending spree before they
00:38:20.500 die.
00:38:21.280 And 68% of those millionaires
00:38:25.080 plan to have that money
00:38:27.620 accessible only after their
00:38:30.120 heirs meet certain conditions.
00:38:32.680 So the vast majority of
00:38:34.520 these people and so the
00:38:36.060 vast, vast majority of
00:38:36.860 people who are leaving
00:38:37.400 inheritances say they're
00:38:39.380 not just going to leave
00:38:40.020 their kids the money.
00:38:41.940 Kevin O'Leary from
00:38:43.100 Shark Tank, quote,
00:38:45.080 designed a trust that
00:38:46.360 skips his adult children 0.75
00:38:47.520 and will support his
00:38:48.800 grandchildren until they
00:38:49.780 graduate from college.
00:38:51.380 And this is a design that
00:38:52.600 over 60% of people who
00:38:53.980 were surveyed by this
00:38:55.020 outlet, The Motley Fool,
00:38:56.580 said that they were
00:38:57.820 considering doing.
00:38:59.500 Why is that?
00:39:01.120 Why?
00:39:01.720 Is the reason just that
00:39:03.100 they have some vendetta
00:39:05.020 against their kids or
00:39:06.120 the kids aren't good
00:39:07.280 enough for them or they
00:39:08.320 think the kids aren't
00:39:09.140 going to use the money as
00:39:10.480 well as the
00:39:10.880 grandchildren are?
00:39:12.260 No, it's not just that.
00:39:15.180 It's that they don't want
00:39:16.300 the money to ruin the
00:39:17.280 kids' lives.
00:39:18.300 They don't want the kids 0.57
00:39:19.360 to just become lazy and
00:39:21.100 degenerate and give in to
00:39:23.020 libertinism and just
00:39:24.760 basically drink or shoot
00:39:27.700 up or squander all of
00:39:29.840 that money and ruin their 0.98
00:39:30.840 lives in the process.
00:39:32.800 We were talking about
00:39:33.440 this yesterday with
00:39:34.500 regard to AOC's proposal
00:39:36.520 for a four-day work
00:39:37.660 week.
00:39:38.860 So people should have a
00:39:39.520 four-day work week and
00:39:41.060 they should have three
00:39:41.580 days off.
00:39:42.540 And oh, could you
00:39:42.960 imagine all the things
00:39:43.940 you would do with your
00:39:44.540 three days off?
00:39:45.340 Oh my gosh, you would
00:39:46.380 become an artist or a
00:39:47.280 painter or a poet or
00:39:48.260 whatever.
00:39:49.020 And this is what
00:39:49.340 everyone says.
00:39:49.920 Nancy Pelosi made the
00:39:51.520 same claim many years
00:39:52.720 ago with regard to the
00:39:53.900 Obamacare debate.
00:39:56.120 And the reality is, for
00:39:57.640 most people, for almost
00:40:00.380 everybody, you won't do
00:40:01.200 that.
00:40:01.860 You'll just sit on the
00:40:02.780 couch.
00:40:04.460 Some people think, oh
00:40:05.620 gosh, if only I could
00:40:06.520 retire.
00:40:07.380 Oh, I wish I could retire
00:40:08.420 at age 35, you know, and
00:40:10.100 then, oh man, I'd sit on a
00:40:11.380 beach somewhere.
00:40:12.100 I'd be so happy.
00:40:13.240 No, you wouldn't.
00:40:13.740 You'd be miserable
00:40:14.320 because you were made to
00:40:15.080 work.
00:40:15.560 I'm not saying you've got
00:40:16.180 to work at the widget
00:40:16.880 factory or in the coal
00:40:17.820 mine all day.
00:40:18.720 There are other kinds of
00:40:19.640 work.
00:40:20.280 You can work on your
00:40:22.000 family, building up your
00:40:23.000 family.
00:40:23.340 You can work on actually
00:40:24.760 cultivating a hobby, but
00:40:25.880 it's not just, you know,
00:40:26.680 sitting with a glass of
00:40:27.560 Chablis, painting something.
00:40:29.160 Painting is hard work.
00:40:30.160 Writing poetry is hard
00:40:31.100 work.
00:40:31.280 All these things that we
00:40:32.260 consider to be very simple
00:40:34.040 recreational activities, if
00:40:35.220 you want to do them well and
00:40:36.360 you want them to actually do
00:40:37.640 something for you, then
00:40:39.120 they're going to require a
00:40:40.180 lot of work, okay?
00:40:41.080 And what these
00:40:41.500 millionaires are, they're
00:40:43.380 acknowledging this.
00:40:45.160 Even if it's not
00:40:45.760 consciously, it's
00:40:46.780 subconsciously.
00:40:48.340 We are made to do
00:40:50.340 things, to be
00:40:51.420 productive.
00:40:52.260 And in a society that is
00:40:53.300 told, now just stay home,
00:40:54.660 whether it's stay home
00:40:55.500 because of the lockdowns or
00:40:56.360 stay home with the universal 0.99
00:40:57.320 basic income or just go
00:40:59.180 away, we're going to pay you
00:41:00.040 off to go away with
00:41:01.240 welfare benefits or
00:41:02.200 whatever.
00:41:02.920 That is an inhuman
00:41:04.520 society.
00:41:05.360 That is not, not only is
00:41:06.620 that not good for the
00:41:07.380 society as a whole, it's,
00:41:08.560 it's really bad even for
00:41:10.360 the individuals that it is
00:41:12.680 purportedly going to help.
00:41:15.180 Just laziness.
00:41:16.300 Mankind is not meant to be
00:41:17.260 lazy.
00:41:17.480 Speaking of children,
00:41:21.460 speaking of, of
00:41:23.480 children, won't somebody 0.74
00:41:25.140 please think of the
00:41:26.000 children?
00:41:26.840 A woman has come 0.76
00:41:28.000 forward at Facebook.
00:41:30.280 She used to work at
00:41:31.320 Facebook and she left
00:41:32.620 Facebook and now she is a
00:41:34.580 whistleblower.
00:41:36.220 She is a whistle, she is 1.00
00:41:37.860 speaking truth to power.
00:41:40.400 Yes, that's right.
00:41:41.480 And she's speaking truth to
00:41:42.940 power so clearly that
00:41:44.740 everyone in the ruling
00:41:45.660 class loves her and is
00:41:46.780 giving her lots of
00:41:47.420 plaudits.
00:41:48.500 Hmm, that's weird.
00:41:49.820 That's a strange, that's
00:41:50.760 a strange fact.
00:41:51.740 The woman is coming 0.52
00:41:54.300 forward.
00:41:54.800 She was a former
00:41:55.260 Facebook product manager.
00:41:56.440 Her name is Frances
00:41:57.160 Hogan.
00:41:58.480 She is saying that
00:41:59.520 Facebook has, she's
00:42:02.340 making two claims.
00:42:03.740 Facebook is not good for
00:42:05.860 kids and when kids use
00:42:06.900 Facebook and Instagram
00:42:07.600 too much, it's not good
00:42:08.420 for their mental health.
00:42:09.620 And also, Facebook is
00:42:11.940 not censoring
00:42:12.620 conservatives enough and
00:42:13.660 that's a bad thing.
00:42:14.560 And one of the reasons
00:42:15.600 she quit Facebook is
00:42:16.960 because they were not
00:42:18.280 willing to interfere
00:42:19.260 even more in the
00:42:20.600 political process and
00:42:21.480 suppress conservatives
00:42:22.200 even more than they
00:42:23.120 already are.
00:42:23.620 So those are the two
00:42:24.560 angles here.
00:42:25.720 And as a result of her
00:42:26.700 heroic whistleblowing,
00:42:28.960 senators on Capitol Hill
00:42:30.320 and the mainstream media
00:42:31.520 and everyone else are giving
00:42:32.200 her a big round of
00:42:32.840 applause.
00:42:33.160 My name is Frances
00:42:34.700 Hogan.
00:42:35.900 I used to work at
00:42:36.720 Facebook.
00:42:37.740 I joined Facebook because
00:42:39.260 I think Facebook has the
00:42:40.800 potential to bring out the
00:42:42.040 best in us.
00:42:43.820 But I'm here today because I
00:42:45.480 believe Facebook's products
00:42:46.640 harm children, stoke division
00:42:48.840 and weaken our democracy.
00:42:51.180 The company's leadership knows
00:42:52.840 how to make Facebook and
00:42:54.100 Instagram safer, but won't
00:42:55.980 make the necessary changes
00:42:57.220 because they have put their
00:42:58.340 astronomical profits before
00:43:00.320 people.
00:43:00.780 Congressional action is
00:43:03.120 needed.
00:43:04.380 They won't solve this crisis
00:43:05.820 without your help.
00:43:08.120 Yesterday we saw Facebook
00:43:09.740 get taken off the
00:43:10.700 internet.
00:43:11.880 I don't know why I went
00:43:12.860 down, but I know that for
00:43:14.340 more than five hours,
00:43:15.860 Facebook wasn't used to
00:43:17.160 deepen divides,
00:43:18.840 destabilize democracies
00:43:20.080 and make young girls and
00:43:21.840 women feel bad about their 1.00
00:43:23.160 bodies.
00:43:23.840 We can have social media we
00:43:25.560 enjoy that connects us
00:43:28.040 without tearing apart our
00:43:29.780 democracy, putting our
00:43:31.820 children in danger and
00:43:33.020 sowing ethnic violence 0.97
00:43:34.080 around the world.
00:43:35.280 We can do better.
00:43:37.380 Now this is confusing
00:43:38.720 because she keeps using
00:43:40.220 these two lines in the
00:43:41.900 same breath.
00:43:42.760 It's harming girls, it's 1.00
00:43:44.260 really bad for children.
00:43:45.580 Okay, well, yeah, okay, I
00:43:46.520 guess we could all agree
00:43:47.200 with that.
00:43:47.560 Maybe there's some
00:43:48.060 regulation there.
00:43:48.840 And it's harming our
00:43:50.120 democracy.
00:43:51.520 Well, hold on, that seems
00:43:52.520 like a totally separate
00:43:53.280 issue.
00:43:53.640 What do you mean harming
00:43:54.320 our democracy?
00:43:55.540 Oh, you mean because
00:43:56.700 conservatives, while they
00:43:59.760 are censored on Facebook,
00:44:01.380 are not censored quite as
00:44:02.640 much on Facebook as they
00:44:03.580 are on other platforms.
00:44:04.560 And therefore, conservatives
00:44:05.300 do well on Facebook.
00:44:06.540 And actually, do you know
00:44:07.260 who she's talking about?
00:44:08.240 She's talking about us.
00:44:09.640 She's talking about us
00:44:10.740 right here at the Michael
00:44:12.240 Knowles Show and the Daily
00:44:13.500 Wire.
00:44:13.940 Because we are the top
00:44:15.080 publishers on Facebook,
00:44:16.200 and we have been for a very
00:44:17.300 long time.
00:44:18.100 We have formed our
00:44:18.980 business in many ways to be
00:44:20.860 able to compete at a very
00:44:22.100 serious level in the new
00:44:23.700 media.
00:44:24.580 We're not an old media
00:44:25.560 company.
00:44:26.040 We're not an old TV
00:44:27.000 company or an old newspaper
00:44:28.040 company.
00:44:28.600 So we were able to be
00:44:30.240 agile and focus our
00:44:31.980 business and tailor it to
00:44:33.220 those specifications for new
00:44:34.820 media.
00:44:35.820 And so we're the top
00:44:37.000 publisher on Facebook.
00:44:37.840 Now, the left still
00:44:38.580 dominates Facebook because,
00:44:40.580 yes, there's the Daily
00:44:41.240 Wire.
00:44:41.680 Yes, there's the Blaze.
00:44:43.460 Yes, there are a handful
00:44:44.820 of conservative outlets out
00:44:45.840 there.
00:44:46.200 But the vast majority of
00:44:47.940 them are left-wing
00:44:49.440 outlets.
00:44:50.180 So while, yes, the Daily
00:44:51.320 Wire punches above our
00:44:52.300 weight, absolutely,
00:44:53.700 when you consider the
00:44:55.280 right-wing outlets compared
00:44:56.220 to the left-wing outlets,
00:44:57.060 the left-wing outlets
00:44:57.640 totally dominate.
00:44:58.460 But that's not good enough
00:44:59.260 for this woman.
00:45:00.380 And so she says, no,
00:45:01.180 you've got to suppress
00:45:02.000 the conservatives.
00:45:03.580 And in order to make that
00:45:05.000 argument more palatable,
00:45:06.580 she is couching it in
00:45:09.260 protecting children.
00:45:12.040 But those two issues have
00:45:13.200 nothing to do with one
00:45:14.280 another.
00:45:14.940 They're just going after
00:45:15.840 Facebook because Facebook
00:45:17.080 is the fairest, and
00:45:18.320 they're not even
00:45:18.800 particularly fair, but
00:45:19.780 they're the fairest to
00:45:20.940 conservatives.
00:45:21.420 All right, the way
00:45:23.580 that you know that this
00:45:25.300 woman is not a 1.00
00:45:26.180 whistleblower, that she 0.97
00:45:27.480 is not speaking truth to
00:45:28.960 power, is that the most
00:45:30.100 powerful people in the
00:45:31.080 company, or in the
00:45:32.160 country, rather, are
00:45:33.140 promoting her.
00:45:34.620 The entire ruling class,
00:45:36.900 I guess with the
00:45:37.780 exception of Facebook,
00:45:39.140 which is one of the big
00:45:41.080 tech companies, but it's,
00:45:43.500 in this case, it's sort of
00:45:44.380 the odd man out.
00:45:45.540 Other than that, all of the
00:45:46.820 institutions in our
00:45:47.720 country with power are
00:45:49.580 promoting this woman.
00:45:51.320 Because she is not
00:45:52.200 speaking truth to power,
00:45:53.100 she is the power.
00:45:54.340 And they are all turning
00:45:55.140 on Facebook, which is
00:45:56.200 another power, because in
00:45:58.100 this case, Facebook is not
00:46:00.000 going along entirely with
00:46:01.580 the agenda and completely
00:46:02.960 shutting up conservatives
00:46:03.940 in the way that Google and
00:46:05.840 YouTube and Twitter are
00:46:07.520 moving.
00:46:09.220 And so they're giving
00:46:09.920 Facebook a warning.
00:46:11.140 They're giving Facebook a
00:46:12.160 slap on the wrist.
00:46:14.240 And this is an important
00:46:15.180 lesson to remember.
00:46:16.080 However, we love this
00:46:19.000 idea of speaking truth to
00:46:20.100 power and, you know, this
00:46:21.680 is a very romantic notion.
00:46:23.000 My friend Spencer Clavin just
00:46:24.100 did a whole episode on
00:46:25.080 this as it pertained to
00:46:26.820 St. Thomas More on his
00:46:27.800 show Young Heretics.
00:46:29.240 And we love this idea.
00:46:30.800 Yes, we're going to speak
00:46:32.000 truth to power.
00:46:33.140 When you are really
00:46:34.080 speaking truth to power,
00:46:35.280 the way that you will know
00:46:36.640 that you are doing that is
00:46:38.520 that everyone is going to
00:46:39.540 hate you and you are going 0.96
00:46:41.100 to be derided and mocked
00:46:43.280 and slandered and
00:46:44.420 persecuted and very likely
00:46:46.020 killed, okay, that's how
00:46:48.060 you'll know that you're
00:46:48.940 actually speaking truth to
00:46:50.260 power.
00:46:50.800 What we're seeing play out
00:46:52.160 right now on Capitol Hill,
00:46:54.060 just like what we were
00:46:54.860 seeing play out with the
00:46:55.700 BLM riots and all these 1.00
00:46:57.820 other astroturfed social
00:47:00.540 justice movements, is the
00:47:02.460 play-acting version of
00:47:03.860 speaking truth to power.
00:47:04.860 When in fact, these people,
00:47:06.220 this quote-unquote
00:47:06.820 whistleblower or the BLM
00:47:08.760 pawns or anyone else, what
00:47:12.640 they're actually doing is
00:47:14.420 upholding the dominant power
00:47:16.380 structure.
00:47:17.640 That's what we're seeing.
00:47:18.780 I think there are lots of
00:47:20.460 good reasons to reign in
00:47:22.100 Facebook.
00:47:22.580 That whistleblower lady 1.00
00:47:23.560 isn't it.
00:47:24.200 But what is this about?
00:47:25.020 She's talking about the
00:47:25.580 division within Facebook.
00:47:27.960 Well, you'll see this actually
00:47:29.160 happening in New York right
00:47:30.000 now.
00:47:30.460 A statue that involved a bronze
00:47:33.040 bust of George Floyd was
00:47:35.660 defaced on Sunday morning in
00:47:37.280 New York.
00:47:37.760 Someone threw some paint at the
00:47:39.460 idol to George Floyd.
00:47:41.620 The great bronze icon of St.
00:47:44.120 George, George of the
00:47:46.920 blessed fake $20 bills or
00:47:49.040 whatever.
00:47:50.460 So what is this about?
00:47:52.880 Why are we defacing
00:47:53.860 monuments of George?
00:47:56.460 Why is there a monument of
00:47:57.220 George Floyd?
00:47:57.640 I have no idea.
00:47:58.300 Why are we defacing monuments
00:47:59.540 of George Floyd?
00:48:01.460 And why are we defacing
00:48:03.720 monuments of Christopher
00:48:04.860 Columbus, who's a good man?
00:48:06.440 Why are we defacing monuments
00:48:07.900 of George Washington, good
00:48:09.420 man, of Abraham Lincoln, good
00:48:11.040 why?
00:48:12.020 Because we're disagreeing over
00:48:13.920 what our national symbols are.
00:48:16.260 That's where a lot of this
00:48:17.140 division comes from.
00:48:17.880 We can't agree.
00:48:18.680 The left wants our symbol to
00:48:19.720 be this guy who was killed
00:48:21.260 under sad circumstances, but
00:48:22.760 who was also a career
00:48:23.700 criminal, who robbed a
00:48:25.020 pregnant woman at gunpoint,
00:48:26.080 who did a ton of drugs, who
00:48:27.060 was committing a crime while
00:48:28.360 and resisting arrest while he
00:48:29.680 was killed.
00:48:30.280 And so that's sad.
00:48:31.360 It's sad when any man is
00:48:32.360 killed, but very different
00:48:34.740 than an innocent martyr.
00:48:37.420 And the right wants our
00:48:41.080 statues to be George
00:48:42.200 Washington, Christopher
00:48:42.880 Columbus, and Thomas
00:48:44.160 Jefferson, these great men
00:48:45.460 who built our civilization.
00:48:47.480 Which is it?
00:48:48.240 We will not resolve this
00:48:51.000 rancor in this division
00:48:51.900 until we can agree on the
00:48:53.440 shared symbols because the
00:48:54.440 symbols represent what the
00:48:55.540 country is.
00:48:56.100 And right now, we have no
00:48:57.620 idea who we are, which is
00:48:59.840 why people are trying to
00:49:00.680 grab power as tightly as they
00:49:03.040 can, whether they're in the
00:49:03.760 government, they're in big
00:49:04.480 tech, they're in industry, to
00:49:05.660 clamp down and make that 0.92
00:49:07.400 decision.
00:49:07.780 That decision is being made
00:49:08.700 right now.
00:49:10.380 And we need to fight as hard
00:49:12.380 as we can to keep the
00:49:13.620 country that we want.
00:49:14.320 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:50:08.180 The Senate held a hearing
00:50:09.100 with the Facebook whistleblower
00:50:10.540 yesterday, setting the stage
00:50:11.700 for the most far-reaching
00:50:12.600 censorship campaign in
00:50:13.620 American history.
00:50:14.320 Also, an ESPN anchor has
00:50:15.420 pulled off the air after
00:50:16.360 criticizing vaccine mandates,
00:50:18.020 and Dave Chappelle has a new
00:50:19.220 comedy special out.
00:50:20.120 The news media insists that
00:50:21.280 it's incendiary and bigoted,
00:50:23.420 so you know it must be good.
00:50:24.440 And finally, Ray Spader,
00:50:25.420 Ibram X.
00:50:25.920 Kendi, preaches his version of
00:50:27.120 the gospel message, and it is
00:50:29.060 as heretical as you might
00:50:30.360 expect it to be.
