00:00:30.460 As possibly the worst port and supply chain crisis

00:00:33.780 in America's history roils the economy

00:00:36.440 and threatens to continue

00:00:37.540 all the way through Christmas and beyond,

00:00:40.160 it is just now being reported

00:00:42.200 that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

00:00:44.740 has been on paternity leave

00:00:48.020 for the past two months

00:00:49.700 and has no plans of coming back to work anytime soon.

00:00:54.700 Everything, and I really mean everything, 0.95

00:00:57.040 about this story is wrong, sad, and ridiculous. 0.97

00:01:01.260 Broadcasting live from Clown World, 0.98

00:01:03.300 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:01:04.360 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:13.160 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:14.480 My favorite comment Friday is from OpenEye,

00:01:16.780 who says,

00:01:17.860 let's not forget Magic Johnson

00:01:19.740 literally got to play basketball

00:01:21.660 while HIV positive.

00:01:23.040 Yes, that's true.

00:01:24.960 But basketball players

00:01:26.400 who have already had the Wu flu,

00:01:28.580 who have already recovered

00:01:29.520 from the Wuhan cough,

00:01:31.220 they're not allowed to play

00:01:32.240 if they don't get the vaccine.

00:01:33.940 Kyrie Irving, for instance,

00:01:35.020 he doesn't get to play

00:01:35.900 unless he gets the vaccine,

00:01:37.060 but if you have

00:01:38.060 one of the worst diseases

00:01:40.820 in modern history,

00:01:41.960 that's totally fine.

00:01:43.300 That's no big deal

00:01:44.260 because at least you don't have

00:01:46.120 the symptoms of a mild cold

00:01:48.420 in most cases.

00:01:50.400 This crazy techno-tyranny

00:01:52.660 is enough to make you

00:01:53.780 want to lock down

00:01:55.120 all your information,

00:01:55.940 which is why I would strongly

00:01:56.720 recommend you check out

00:01:57.580 ExpressVPN.

00:01:58.940 Big tech is more powerful

00:02:00.680 than most countries are,

00:02:02.120 and they profit by exploiting

00:02:03.420 your personal data.

00:02:05.660 It is time

00:02:06.440 to put a layer of protection

00:02:08.020 between your online activity

00:02:09.840 and big tech, okay,

00:02:11.200 which is why I use ExpressVPN.

00:02:13.760 When you use ExpressVPN

00:02:15.260 on your device,

00:02:16.560 the software hides

00:02:17.520 your IP address,

00:02:18.680 something big tech can use

00:02:19.780 to personally identify you.

00:02:21.700 So ExpressVPN makes your activity

00:02:23.160 harder to trace

00:02:24.200 and sell to advertisers.

00:02:26.080 It encrypts 100%

00:02:27.540 of your internet data

00:02:28.620 to keep you safe

00:02:29.720 from hackers

00:02:30.260 and eavesdroppers

00:02:31.180 on your network.

00:02:32.840 It does all of this

00:02:33.540 without slowing your connection.

00:02:34.980 It's just so easy.

00:02:35.740 You just click a button.

00:02:36.580 Boom, you're done.

00:02:37.540 That's why it's rated

00:02:38.200 the number one VPN service

00:02:39.580 by CNET and TechRadar.

00:02:42.000 It's so simple to use.

00:02:43.880 You just download it

00:02:45.040 on your phone

00:02:45.560 or your computer

00:02:46.180 or both like me

00:02:47.100 and you're protected.

00:02:48.120 Stop handing over 0.72

00:02:49.140 your personal data

00:02:50.020 to the big tech monopoly

00:02:51.020 that mines your activity

00:02:52.040 and sells your info.

00:02:53.520 Protect yourself

00:02:54.140 with the VPN I trust

00:02:55.200 to keep me safe online.

00:03:09.020 Pete Buttigieg,

00:03:10.960 Secretary of Transportation,

00:03:13.180 is missing in action.

00:03:15.040 Because he is on

00:03:15.940 paternity leave. 0.93

00:03:18.560 I got in a lot of trouble

00:03:20.540 over the weekend

00:03:21.400 on Twitter

00:03:22.380 because I made fun

00:03:24.580 of Pete Buttigieg's

00:03:26.200 paternity leave. 0.93

00:03:27.880 And I would say

00:03:29.160 just about every conservative

00:03:30.420 is mocking

00:03:31.560 this incident,

00:03:33.880 the Buttigieg paternity leave.

00:03:35.520 But they're doing so

00:03:36.840 with varying degrees

00:03:38.620 of breadth.

00:03:40.080 Meaning everyone

00:03:41.200 is mocking the idea

00:03:42.660 that the Transportation

00:03:43.820 Secretary just disappeared.

00:03:45.020 A Cabinet Secretary

00:03:45.740 disappears for two months.

00:03:47.100 But there's more

00:03:48.420 wrong to this story

00:03:50.260 than just that.

00:03:51.120 All right?

00:03:51.520 So I think there are

00:03:52.840 three aspects of this

00:03:54.740 that are really,

00:03:56.020 really wrong.

00:03:56.440 The first one

00:03:56.940 we all agree on.

00:03:58.640 No Cabinet Secretary

00:03:59.820 should be able

00:04:01.380 to just disappear

00:04:02.320 for two months

00:04:03.280 for paternity leave 0.87

00:04:04.700 or any other reason.

00:04:06.060 And if they do

00:04:06.860 disappear for two months,

00:04:07.940 they need to be replaced.

00:04:09.760 It's kind of funny

00:04:10.580 that no one even noticed

00:04:12.680 Buttigieg was gone.

00:04:13.680 Frankly, if he'd been around,

00:04:14.620 he'd probably make things worse.

00:04:16.140 But no Cabinet Secretary

00:04:17.580 should be able

00:04:18.340 to just disappear

00:04:19.100 for two months.

00:04:20.240 Okay?

00:04:20.460 That's the first thing

00:04:21.300 that's wrong.

00:04:22.340 The second aspect

00:04:23.360 that's wrong with this

00:04:24.380 is more specific

00:04:25.500 to Buttigieg.

00:04:26.760 Okay?

00:04:26.900 There was this YouTuber

00:04:27.780 who goes by the name

00:04:29.620 Shuan Head. 0.76

00:04:31.340 She said to me,

00:04:31.920 Michael,

00:04:32.660 I think you're just

00:04:33.920 secretly in opposition

00:04:36.200 to gay marriage

00:04:37.540 and adoption.

00:04:38.660 But you're just using

00:04:40.100 paternity leave 1.00

00:04:41.020 as a way to hide that.

00:04:42.260 And clearly,

00:04:42.920 this woman has never

00:04:43.900 listened to my show

00:04:44.720 because I don't think

00:04:45.580 I've been exactly shy

00:04:47.600 about my opposition

00:04:48.640 to redefining marriage.

00:04:50.340 But this does pose

00:04:51.380 a real issue here

00:04:53.180 because there are,

00:04:56.100 the only argument

00:04:56.760 I've ever heard

00:04:57.600 that's even somewhat

00:04:58.260 compelling for paternity leave 0.99

00:04:59.920 is it's not so much

00:05:01.320 for the dads

00:05:01.900 to take care of the kids

00:05:02.960 to sit at home

00:05:04.100 for a couple months

00:05:04.700 and change diapers

00:05:05.560 and chest feet

00:05:06.320 or whatever.

00:05:06.740 It's so that the dads

00:05:08.120 can take care of mom

00:05:09.220 while mom recovers

00:05:10.880 from the physical trauma

00:05:12.100 of pregnancy

00:05:13.980 and of childbirth.

00:05:15.860 Obviously,

00:05:16.500 in Pete Buttigieg's case,

00:05:18.120 he doesn't have to worry

00:05:19.180 about that

00:05:19.620 because there's no mom

00:05:20.560 at home.

00:05:22.240 And so,

00:05:22.880 it does raise this issue

00:05:24.200 of the redefinition

00:05:25.180 of marriage

00:05:25.720 in the family

00:05:26.320 because there are

00:05:27.380 two ways

00:05:28.300 that Pete Buttigieg

00:05:29.100 could have acquired

00:05:30.400 these kids

00:05:31.280 that he's now going to raise.

00:05:32.440 And it's not clear.

00:05:33.360 He's been kind of cagey

00:05:34.240 on which one it is.

00:05:35.480 The first one

00:05:36.220 is adoption.

00:05:37.920 And if these babies

00:05:38.980 were adopted,

00:05:39.560 what that means

00:05:40.040 is that in a country

00:05:41.000 where there are 36 couples

00:05:42.480 approximately

00:05:43.080 trying to adopt

00:05:44.480 every one infant

00:05:45.520 put up for adoption,

00:05:47.520 some adoption agency

00:05:48.760 decided

00:05:49.360 to deprive

00:05:50.440 these children

00:05:51.020 of being raised

00:05:51.680 by a mother

00:05:52.300 and a father

00:05:53.200 and to choose

00:05:54.420 to have them raised

00:05:55.120 by two men.

00:05:56.360 And if you're fine

00:05:57.360 with that,

00:05:58.180 what you are saying

00:05:59.840 is

00:06:00.240 that there is nothing

00:06:01.700 that mothers 0.65

00:06:02.820 add to raising children.

00:06:05.720 There is nothing

00:06:06.480 that mothers uniquely 0.99

00:06:07.660 or especially do

00:06:09.040 that fathers don't do.

00:06:10.700 There's no special role

00:06:11.720 for moms

00:06:12.320 and for dads.

00:06:13.620 It's all just the same.

00:06:15.340 Mom and dad

00:06:16.180 are exactly the same.

00:06:17.180 They're completely

00:06:17.660 indistinguishable.

00:06:19.420 And I know that

00:06:20.940 a lot of people

00:06:21.420 pretend that these days,

00:06:22.840 but I don't think

00:06:23.700 very many people

00:06:24.400 actually believe that.

00:06:25.500 When you think back

00:06:26.020 to your childhood,

00:06:27.220 were mommy and daddy

00:06:27.980 exactly the same?

00:06:28.960 Did they fulfill

00:06:29.400 exactly the same roles

00:06:30.580 and neither of them

00:06:32.360 added something special

00:06:33.400 to your upbringing?

00:06:34.940 They were just

00:06:35.460 completely interchangeable?

00:06:36.520 No, no one

00:06:37.000 really believes that.

00:06:37.760 The other way

00:06:38.580 that Buttigieg

00:06:39.640 and his partner

00:06:40.160 could have acquired

00:06:40.840 the kids

00:06:41.280 is even more

00:06:42.780 morally dubious

00:06:43.620 and that is through

00:06:44.580 in vitro fertilization

00:06:46.160 and surrogacy.

00:06:48.280 And this is a process

00:06:49.300 whereby a man

00:06:50.520 will choose a woman 0.99

00:06:51.740 out of a catalog,

00:06:53.160 purchase her eggs,

00:06:54.580 and then use the womb 0.90

00:06:56.060 of another woman

00:06:56.860 to implant an embryo

00:06:59.040 and then get rid 0.99

00:06:59.900 of the women 0.99

00:07:00.200 altogether

00:07:00.580 and just raise the kids. 0.66

00:07:02.960 And this is more

00:07:04.000 morally dubious

00:07:04.840 because it involves

00:07:05.920 the intentional creation

00:07:07.880 of a baby

00:07:08.480 for the express purpose

00:07:10.300 of denying him

00:07:11.520 his natural mother,

00:07:12.580 which is wrong.

00:07:13.880 It's a wrong thing to do.

00:07:14.980 Babies have a right

00:07:15.620 to their mother.

00:07:18.260 I don't want to seem

00:07:19.780 like I'm just beating up

00:07:20.680 on Buttigieg

00:07:21.160 and his partner here.

00:07:22.920 I actually have a great deal

00:07:23.660 of sympathy for it.

00:07:24.420 I have even empathy

00:07:25.500 for them, okay?

00:07:26.980 It's sort of a personal issue.

00:07:29.040 In the sense that

00:07:30.400 when I got married,

00:07:31.420 sweet little Elise and I,

00:07:32.600 we are Catholic, right?

00:07:34.100 We started getting ready

00:07:35.860 for the baby machine

00:07:36.800 right away

00:07:37.260 and it didn't happen

00:07:38.740 right away.

00:07:39.740 And if you've ever dealt

00:07:40.520 with infertility problems

00:07:42.080 of any sort,

00:07:42.740 you know this is a very

00:07:43.440 painful thing.

00:07:44.800 It's very difficult.

00:07:45.860 And I'm sure that

00:07:46.800 Buttigieg and his partner

00:07:48.060 just have a natural longing

00:07:49.860 to have a kid,

00:07:51.080 but they don't have

00:07:53.000 the desire

00:07:53.540 or the willingness

00:07:54.120 to do the things

00:07:54.960 that naturally lead

00:07:55.740 to a kid.

00:07:56.180 And so I remember

00:07:57.740 when we were trying

00:07:59.180 to have a kid,

00:07:59.740 you know,

00:07:59.900 my wife said,

00:08:01.240 well, oh gosh,

00:08:02.360 maybe we should do IVF.

00:08:03.600 Maybe we should do this.

00:08:04.340 Maybe we should do that.

00:08:05.040 The Catholic Church

00:08:05.620 does not permit that

00:08:06.620 because they're morally

00:08:07.940 suspect processes

00:08:09.180 whereby multiple embryos 0.60

00:08:10.800 are created.

00:08:11.420 Some are just put

00:08:12.220 in a freezer forever.

00:08:13.160 Some are destroyed.

00:08:14.160 And it can be a really

00:08:15.800 bioethically wrong process.

00:08:19.760 And the conclusion

00:08:21.160 that we came to

00:08:22.260 is that,

00:08:23.560 yes,

00:08:23.860 it's good to have a kid.

00:08:24.760 That's a good thing

00:08:25.440 to want.

00:08:26.720 But a good end

00:08:28.340 does not justify

00:08:29.420 immoral means.

00:08:31.420 Okay?

00:08:32.300 It's good that

00:08:33.000 Buttigieg and his partner

00:08:34.140 want kids.

00:08:35.360 That doesn't justify

00:08:36.440 depriving that child

00:08:38.040 of his natural mother

00:08:39.460 or of the opportunity

00:08:40.320 to be raised

00:08:41.360 by a mother

00:08:41.960 and a father.

00:08:43.260 Okay?

00:08:43.760 So that's the part

00:08:45.320 that a lot of conservatives

00:08:46.260 are probably not going to say

00:08:47.800 because they don't want

00:08:48.760 to seem like they're being mean

00:08:49.680 to Buttigieg and his partner.

00:08:51.360 And no one wants

00:08:52.120 to be mean to them.

00:08:53.000 But it's just a fact.

00:08:53.920 And one has to think

00:08:54.680 about the broader

00:08:56.020 moral implications here.

00:08:57.360 And one has to think

00:08:58.280 about kids.

00:08:58.820 And one has to think

00:08:59.400 about what it means

00:09:00.500 to have a father

00:09:01.020 and a mother

00:09:01.600 and these sorts of realities.

00:09:03.100 The third part 0.93

00:09:03.880 that's ridiculous 0.87

00:09:04.420 about this story, 0.92

00:09:06.240 and this is probably

00:09:06.820 the least popular opinion

00:09:08.080 of all,

00:09:08.520 but it's true,

00:09:09.220 is that paternity leave 0.95

00:09:11.620 is a very silly concept. 0.91

00:09:13.980 Okay? 0.97

00:09:14.500 It is.

00:09:15.240 It's a very modern, 0.97

00:09:16.660 silly concept. 0.96

00:09:17.660 And I'm sure 0.98

00:09:18.640 that there are many

00:09:19.300 listeners out there

00:09:20.060 who took paternity leave

00:09:21.860 or who plan to take

00:09:22.760 paternity leave. 0.93

00:09:23.580 I do not begrudge you

00:09:24.800 your employment benefit.

00:09:26.620 It's perfectly natural

00:09:28.440 to take advantage

00:09:29.220 of all the benefits.

00:09:30.380 You can. 0.86

00:09:31.800 But it's a silly thing. 0.67

00:09:33.060 It's a very new thing.

00:09:34.620 There used to be

00:09:35.240 such a thing as maternity. 1.00

00:09:36.520 Well, there used to be

00:09:37.120 such a thing as mothers 0.99

00:09:37.840 staying home

00:09:38.260 and raising their kids.

00:09:39.720 Then,

00:09:40.240 as more and more women 0.99

00:09:41.180 entered the workforce

00:09:41.820 in the 20th century,

00:09:43.120 there was such a thing

00:09:44.220 as maternity leave.

00:09:45.800 Because mothers 0.87

00:09:46.460 have a lot to do

00:09:47.220 with their kids

00:09:47.720 when the baby's born.

00:09:48.700 One,

00:09:49.920 the mothers have to recover 0.99

00:09:50.880 from pregnancy

00:09:51.900 and childbirth. 1.00

00:09:53.700 Two,

00:09:54.200 they have to breastfeed. 1.00

00:09:55.940 Three,

00:09:56.420 they have to nurture

00:09:57.060 and bond

00:09:58.140 and take care

00:09:58.580 of this little baby.

00:10:00.900 Fathers

00:10:01.300 don't really

00:10:03.640 have to do that.

00:10:04.920 Okay?

00:10:05.080 They're actually,

00:10:05.940 Matt Walsh got in trouble

00:10:06.800 for saying this

00:10:07.320 over the weekend.

00:10:07.920 There actually isn't

00:10:08.660 all that much to do

00:10:10.000 for dads,

00:10:12.960 for their little babies

00:10:13.760 when they're born.

00:10:14.520 We're not going to

00:10:14.980 chest feed.

00:10:15.860 Okay?

00:10:16.200 We're not,

00:10:16.640 I guess we can change

00:10:17.640 some diapers or something.

00:10:18.820 But it's a little bizarre,

00:10:21.840 I think,

00:10:22.080 for men to stay home 0.65

00:10:22.940 for two months

00:10:23.700 or more,

00:10:25.000 in the case of Buttigieg,

00:10:26.640 to change diapers

00:10:28.680 or something.

00:10:29.380 Babies need their mothers 1.00

00:10:30.440 when they're born.

00:10:31.120 And they need their fathers too,

00:10:32.220 but in a different way.

00:10:33.680 They need their fathers

00:10:34.460 to go bring home the bacon,

00:10:36.700 show them a good work ethic.

00:10:38.000 I think there are

00:10:38.640 a lot of conservatives

00:10:39.500 who believe that

00:10:40.540 policies such as

00:10:42.500 paternity leave 1.00

00:10:43.380 are a way to rebuild

00:10:44.300 the family,

00:10:45.300 to not just focus

00:10:46.460 on the crazy,

00:10:48.200 market-driven,

00:10:49.300 economics-obsessed

00:10:50.460 aspects of politics,

00:10:51.880 but to focus

00:10:52.680 on the family too.

00:10:53.400 I do not think

00:10:54.740 policies like paternity leave 0.99

00:10:56.740 help rebuild

00:10:57.440 the American family.

00:10:59.080 I think policies

00:10:59.680 like paternity leave

00:11:01.100 actually come from

00:11:03.440 the same sort of

00:11:04.080 gender confusion

00:11:04.920 that led to this problem

00:11:05.940 in the first place

00:11:06.740 because we're pretending

00:11:10.220 that moms and dads

00:11:11.140 are exactly the same.

00:11:12.580 They're not.

00:11:14.180 They're really not.

00:11:14.940 I do think

00:11:15.860 that this is a political problem.

00:11:17.860 It's not a personal problem.

00:11:19.280 It's not just a,

00:11:20.280 hey man,

00:11:21.060 suck it up and go back to work

00:11:22.240 and pick yourself up 1.00

00:11:23.160 by your bootstraps.

00:11:23.980 No,

00:11:24.220 the problem is that

00:11:26.520 mothers do need help 1.00

00:11:27.720 right after their babies

00:11:28.780 are born.

00:11:29.420 And in the old days,

00:11:31.140 there were two ways

00:11:32.360 they'd get that help.

00:11:33.460 Rich people would pay servants 0.98

00:11:34.900 and less rich people

00:11:36.860 would have extended families

00:11:38.260 all around them,

00:11:39.720 right?

00:11:40.220 Cousins and sisters

00:11:41.100 and all sorts of relatives

00:11:42.460 who could come help out.

00:11:43.860 And in our modern economy,

00:11:46.140 most people don't have the money

00:11:47.560 to hire someone to help them

00:11:48.920 and they don't live

00:11:50.180 anywhere near their family

00:11:51.100 because we live in this world

00:11:52.520 where we just,

00:11:53.020 we move away from our families.

00:11:54.120 We don't have,

00:11:54.640 we don't have very big families.

00:11:55.760 We don't have extended families

00:11:56.640 nearby.

00:11:57.100 So I agree.

00:11:58.280 This is a political,

00:11:59.060 I don't think the answer is just,

00:12:00.820 hey,

00:12:01.860 you know,

00:12:02.240 let's get rid of paternity leave 1.00

00:12:03.520 and suck it up 0.99

00:12:04.120 and figure it out.

00:12:04.660 No,

00:12:04.800 we need to figure out

00:12:05.640 a legitimate,

00:12:07.100 genuine,

00:12:07.580 authentic way

00:12:08.180 to rebuild

00:12:09.040 the American family.

00:12:10.400 Just one policy

00:12:11.500 off the top of my head.

00:12:13.040 In Hungary,

00:12:14.300 Hungary will exempt you 1.00

00:12:16.980 from paying income taxes

00:12:18.020 if you have more than four kids.

00:12:20.040 Or maybe it's four kids

00:12:21.540 or more.

00:12:22.980 So if you have four kids

00:12:23.780 or more,

00:12:24.280 you just don't pay income taxes.

00:12:25.700 It's the government

00:12:26.400 directly trying to deal

00:12:27.600 with this problem

00:12:28.260 of declining birth rates,

00:12:30.080 nations such as ours

00:12:30.940 having less than replacement

00:12:32.500 levels of fertility.

00:12:35.400 And which is one of the reasons

00:12:36.540 why a lot of people

00:12:37.520 encourage mass immigration

00:12:38.740 is because you need to have people

00:12:39.760 to bolster the economy.

00:12:40.580 That would be one way

00:12:41.580 to do it.

00:12:42.840 But pretending

00:12:43.560 that daddy

00:12:45.040 is exactly the same

00:12:46.320 as mommy

00:12:46.840 and there's no difference

00:12:48.200 whatsoever,

00:12:49.280 that is not the way

00:12:50.720 to rebuild

00:12:51.660 the American family.

00:12:53.800 Now,

00:12:54.540 speaking of health,

00:12:55.360 you've got to focus

00:12:55.880 on society's health.

00:12:57.300 You've also got to focus

00:12:58.320 on your own health,

00:12:59.160 which is why I would recommend

00:12:59.940 checking out

00:13:00.460 Super Beats.

00:13:01.520 A lot of people think

00:13:02.680 that if you're slowing down

00:13:04.220 throughout the day,

00:13:05.080 all you can do

00:13:06.020 is just have more

00:13:06.700 and more caffeine,

00:13:07.620 just another cup of coffee,

00:13:08.780 a tenth cup,

00:13:09.440 an eleventh cup of coffee.

00:13:10.480 Well,

00:13:11.180 I got a new way

00:13:11.900 to start your day

00:13:13.240 to keep yourself feeling good.

00:13:14.600 That would be

00:13:14.920 Super Beats Heart Chews,

00:13:15.900 a tasty treat

00:13:16.660 that gives you

00:13:18.040 the energy you need

00:13:19.280 and a treat

00:13:20.460 that is good for you.

00:13:21.300 No more afternoon coffees,

00:13:22.520 energy drinks,

00:13:23.320 and candy

00:13:24.180 for a quick pick-me-up.

00:13:25.820 Add two delicious

00:13:26.820 plant-based

00:13:27.380 Super Beats Heart Chews

00:13:28.260 to your morning routine.

00:13:29.680 Promote heart-healthy energy

00:13:30.980 for your day

00:13:31.720 without a caffeine crash.

00:13:34.160 The grapeseed extract

00:13:35.060 used in Super Beats Heart Chews

00:13:36.340 has been clinically shown

00:13:37.840 to be two times as effective

00:13:38.980 at supporting normal blood pressure

00:13:40.620 as a healthy lifestyle alone.

00:13:43.540 A lot of people over here

00:13:44.800 at the Daily Wire

00:13:45.400 have started eating

00:13:46.060 these Super Beats.

00:13:46.740 I got to hide them

00:13:47.420 so that people don't

00:13:48.420 just keep eating them

00:13:49.600 because they're also

00:13:49.960 pretty tasty,

00:13:50.820 so they'll just like

00:13:51.380 pop them back like candies.

00:13:53.080 I would strongly recommend

00:13:54.120 that you check out

00:13:54.760 Super Beats Heart Chews

00:13:55.500 for heart-healthy energy.

00:14:11.920 Pete Buttigieg

00:14:12.540 took a quick break

00:14:14.180 from his months-long

00:14:16.480 paternity leave 1.00

00:14:17.580 to go on TV.

00:14:18.760 He got caught in this scandal.

00:14:19.700 He goes on Jake Tapper's show

00:14:20.840 and he wanted to gaslight

00:14:22.440 the American people

00:14:23.280 on inflation

00:14:24.760 and the supply chain.

00:14:26.720 Well, certainly a lot

00:14:27.460 of the challenges

00:14:28.060 that we've been experiencing

00:14:29.580 this year

00:14:30.360 will continue

00:14:31.260 into next year

00:14:32.380 but there are both

00:14:33.420 short-term

00:14:34.100 and long-term steps

00:14:35.580 that we can take

00:14:36.260 to do something about it.

00:14:37.800 Look, part of what's happening

00:14:39.160 isn't just the supply side,

00:14:40.800 it's the demand side.

00:14:42.220 Demand is off the charts.

00:14:43.680 Retail sales

00:14:44.400 are through the roof

00:14:45.700 and if you think about

00:14:47.220 those images

00:14:47.960 of ships, for example,

00:14:49.920 waiting at anchor

00:14:50.600 on the West Coast,

00:14:52.040 every one of those ships

00:14:53.040 is full of record

00:14:55.040 amounts of goods

00:14:55.880 that Americans are buying

00:14:57.340 because demand is up,

00:14:59.280 because income is up,

00:15:00.620 because the president

00:15:01.380 has successfully guided

00:15:02.820 this economy

00:15:03.720 out of the teeth

00:15:04.940 of a terrifying recession.

00:15:07.480 This massive

00:15:08.520 transportation crisis

00:15:09.860 that we're in right now,

00:15:11.040 it's actually,

00:15:11.540 actually,

00:15:12.360 it's a good thing.

00:15:14.340 Huh?

00:15:14.800 And all of,

00:15:16.320 all of the consequences

00:15:17.680 of that

00:15:18.300 and some of the causes,

00:15:19.500 you know,

00:15:19.740 like the fact

00:15:20.280 that you've got to pay

00:15:20.920 a lot more money

00:15:21.740 and you're not getting

00:15:22.580 the goods that you want,

00:15:24.300 that's,

00:15:24.980 actually,

00:15:26.020 that's good.

00:15:28.860 Man,

00:15:29.340 if this is good,

00:15:30.500 man,

00:15:30.920 what's bad?

00:15:33.100 It's so,

00:15:34.020 it's so weak.

00:15:35.720 But you're seeing here

00:15:37.100 the beginning

00:15:37.840 of a White House line.

00:15:39.980 Initially,

00:15:40.400 I thought,

00:15:41.480 this was Pete

00:15:42.140 just grasping at straws,

00:15:43.680 trying to hold on

00:15:44.220 to his job

00:15:44.700 and saying,

00:15:45.060 no,

00:15:45.380 inflation's good.

00:15:46.420 You know,

00:15:46.620 no,

00:15:47.020 supply chain crises

00:15:47.840 are good

00:15:48.380 because people

00:15:49.580 are buying stuff.

00:15:50.500 They're not really

00:15:52.060 getting it,

00:15:52.600 but they're buying it.

00:15:53.360 Yeah,

00:15:53.720 it's really good.

00:15:54.680 But it's not just Pete

00:15:56.100 who's making this claim.

00:15:58.040 The White House

00:15:58.700 chief of staff

00:15:59.500 just a few days ago,

00:16:00.800 Ron Klain,

00:16:02.420 came out.

00:16:03.380 He retweeted

00:16:04.460 this comment.

00:16:05.280 He said,

00:16:05.480 quote,

00:16:05.980 most of the economic

00:16:07.260 problems we're facing,

00:16:08.680 inflation,

00:16:09.440 supply chain,

00:16:10.240 et cetera,

00:16:11.500 are high class problems.

00:16:13.920 We shouldn't have had them

00:16:15.280 or wouldn't have had them

00:16:17.100 if the unemployment rate

00:16:18.700 was still 10%.

00:16:19.780 We would instead

00:16:20.960 have had a much worse problem.

00:16:23.020 So because the unemployment rate

00:16:24.720 was artificially high

00:16:26.020 during COVID

00:16:26.620 because the government

00:16:27.560 mandated that businesses

00:16:28.560 shut down, 0.68

00:16:30.380 Joe Biden's administration

00:16:31.320 is now taking credit

00:16:32.500 for fixing the problem

00:16:36.180 that was artificial

00:16:37.500 in the first place.

00:16:39.620 Right?

00:16:39.780 The government,

00:16:40.320 it's not as though

00:16:40.800 we just had an actual

00:16:42.240 unemployment crisis.

00:16:43.540 It's not as though people,

00:16:44.860 you know,

00:16:45.020 the government couldn't

00:16:45.720 figure out ways

00:16:46.600 to incentivize companies

00:16:48.340 to hire people.

00:16:48.860 It's that the government

00:16:49.520 went in and said,

00:16:50.360 stop it,

00:16:51.280 shut down your business,

00:16:52.520 shut down, 0.68

00:16:53.100 don't buy anything,

00:16:54.140 don't produce anything,

00:16:55.200 stay home.

00:16:56.720 So it created this

00:16:57.580 artificial unemployment crisis

00:16:59.000 and then the government

00:17:00.080 started to say,

00:17:00.720 okay,

00:17:00.900 you can kind of go back

00:17:01.660 to work again.

00:17:02.580 See,

00:17:02.900 look how great we are.

00:17:03.640 We fixed unemployment.

00:17:04.880 Well,

00:17:05.020 no,

00:17:05.260 you didn't really,

00:17:06.040 you just took your,

00:17:07.240 you took your,

00:17:08.560 you know,

00:17:09.420 foot off the brakes

00:17:10.320 for a little bit

00:17:11.220 and so the economy

00:17:12.460 started back up again.

00:17:15.040 But,

00:17:15.500 and now they're saying,

00:17:16.100 as a result of this,

00:17:16.860 inflation's going up

00:17:17.840 and the supply chain's

00:17:18.480 going up,

00:17:18.940 I think there are,

00:17:19.780 the supply chain is having problems.

00:17:21.100 First of all,

00:17:21.500 there are other causes of this.

00:17:23.060 Namely,

00:17:23.500 we just gave people

00:17:24.320 a bunch of money

00:17:24.880 and printed up a bunch of money

00:17:26.100 for a long time.

00:17:26.940 So that,

00:17:28.000 I suspect that has something

00:17:29.060 to do with the inflation

00:17:29.920 and the supply chain crises 1.00

00:17:32.140 are caused by this dumb 0.99

00:17:33.360 economic policy 0.99

00:17:34.120 that shut the whole world

00:17:34.920 down for a year.

00:17:37.620 But you can't,

00:17:38.660 whatever your view

00:17:39.640 is on the cause

00:17:40.280 of these things,

00:17:40.840 you can't say

00:17:41.640 it's just a high class problem.

00:17:45.020 If you are having trouble

00:17:46.880 meeting ends meet right now,

00:17:49.100 if you're having trouble

00:17:49.740 affording gas,

00:17:50.580 which is going through the roof,

00:17:51.620 if you're having trouble

00:17:52.260 getting basic household goods,

00:17:54.360 that's not just the,

00:17:56.260 the Rockefellers 0.88

00:17:57.600 who are dealing with that.

00:17:59.320 That's everybody.

00:18:00.480 Actually,

00:18:01.040 not only is Ron Klain's

00:18:02.360 claim false,

00:18:03.920 in fact,

00:18:04.680 it's the opposite of true.

00:18:07.840 People kind of forget

00:18:09.480 about inflation,

00:18:10.280 but inflation,

00:18:12.760 far from just affecting

00:18:13.740 the wealthy,

00:18:14.780 disproportionately affects

00:18:16.520 the poor.

00:18:18.560 So,

00:18:18.960 for starters,

00:18:20.200 wealthier people

00:18:21.000 are more likely

00:18:22.260 to offset inflation

00:18:24.020 with rising income.

00:18:25.940 Okay,

00:18:26.200 they're more likely

00:18:27.060 to be able to deal with that

00:18:28.100 just on the income level.

00:18:29.460 But also,

00:18:30.700 prices tend to increase

00:18:32.380 more for basic goods

00:18:34.060 than they do

00:18:35.020 for luxury goods,

00:18:37.060 which is a phenomenon

00:18:38.120 that's called

00:18:38.500 inflation inequality.

00:18:41.680 So,

00:18:42.260 you're going to deal

00:18:43.060 with higher increases

00:18:44.860 in prices

00:18:45.560 for toilet paper,

00:18:48.060 for basic food staples,

00:18:49.300 for gasoline,

00:18:50.180 than you are

00:18:50.940 for your Audi

00:18:51.840 or your BMW.

00:18:53.660 Okay,

00:18:53.940 prices might go up

00:18:54.620 for all of them,

00:18:55.500 but they're going to increase,

00:18:57.340 they're more likely

00:18:58.000 to increase disproportionately

00:18:59.100 for the basic household goods.

00:19:01.340 So,

00:19:01.840 it's not a high class problem,

00:19:02.920 it's actually more

00:19:03.520 a low class problem.

00:19:04.900 Okay,

00:19:05.300 it's actually more

00:19:06.380 a middle

00:19:08.140 and working class problem

00:19:09.940 than it is

00:19:10.540 a wealthy problem.

00:19:12.440 And this is the official

00:19:13.680 White House.

00:19:14.160 So,

00:19:14.340 it's not just Buttigieg

00:19:15.440 saying this at the

00:19:16.620 Transportation Department.

00:19:17.580 It's not just Ron Klain,

00:19:18.720 the chief of staff,

00:19:19.400 saying this in an interview.

00:19:20.820 It's the official

00:19:21.720 White House spokesman,

00:19:22.700 Jen Psaki,

00:19:23.300 who went on Jake Tapper's show

00:19:25.840 and said rising prices

00:19:26.960 actually are good.

00:19:29.660 Doesn't it seem tone deaf

00:19:31.080 to say that rising prices

00:19:32.600 and empty grocery store shelves

00:19:33.920 are high class problems?

00:19:35.800 Isn't that a bit dismissive?

00:19:37.580 Well,

00:19:37.900 that's not exactly

00:19:38.720 what the tweet said

00:19:39.720 nor the retweet

00:19:40.800 of the original tweet,

00:19:42.380 which is what we're

00:19:43.120 talking about here.

00:19:44.360 It is true though,

00:19:45.380 Jake,

00:19:45.600 and economists will tell you this,

00:19:46.980 and I know you've interviewed

00:19:47.780 some of them as well,

00:19:49.060 that the fact is

00:19:50.060 the unemployment rate

00:19:51.160 is about half what it was

00:19:52.380 a year ago.

00:19:53.680 So a year ago,

00:19:54.880 people were in their homes,

00:19:56.300 10% of people were unemployed,

00:19:58.240 gas prices were low

00:19:59.160 because nobody was driving,

00:20:00.560 people weren't buying goods

00:20:01.540 because they didn't have jobs.

00:20:02.780 Now more people have jobs,

00:20:04.260 more people are buying goods.

00:20:05.720 That's increasing the demand.

00:20:07.220 That's a good thing.

00:20:08.340 At the same time,

00:20:09.520 we also know

00:20:10.420 that the supply is low

00:20:11.680 because we're coming

00:20:12.540 out of the pandemic

00:20:13.460 and because a bunch

00:20:15.400 of manufacturing sectors

00:20:16.560 across the world

00:20:17.780 have shut down

00:20:18.700 because ports

00:20:19.520 haven't been functioning

00:20:20.820 as they should be.

00:20:21.660 These are all things

00:20:22.720 we're working through.

00:20:23.880 Okay,

00:20:24.480 so that's their story

00:20:25.460 and they're sticking to it.

00:20:26.540 Rising prices

00:20:27.240 and supply chain problems

00:20:28.420 are good.

00:20:29.360 Now there's a problem

00:20:30.260 and you got to give

00:20:30.840 Jake Tapper credit here.

00:20:31.960 He points out the problem,

00:20:32.980 which is under Trump,

00:20:35.060 when Trump was dealing

00:20:36.160 with some inflation,

00:20:38.440 Ron Klain,

00:20:39.460 the same guy now

00:20:40.300 who's claiming

00:20:40.740 rising prices are good,

00:20:43.000 attacked Donald Trump

00:20:44.200 for those rising prices

00:20:46.080 and described it

00:20:47.480 as a tax,

00:20:49.460 a sort of tax

00:20:50.180 on the middle class.

00:20:52.000 So Jake Tapper

00:20:52.660 asks Jen Psaki, 0.80

00:20:54.580 what changed then,

00:20:56.200 between then and now?

00:20:57.920 Why did Ron Klain

00:20:58.820 think that rising prices

00:21:00.000 was a serious concern

00:21:00.920 under Trump

00:21:01.440 but not under Biden?

00:21:02.680 I can tell you

00:21:03.400 from sitting in a lot

00:21:04.260 of meetings

00:21:04.600 with Ron Klain

00:21:05.420 day in and day out,

00:21:06.400 he is obsessed

00:21:07.100 with lowering costs

00:21:07.980 for the American people

00:21:08.960 and that's driven

00:21:09.900 from the president.

00:21:11.660 Hold on.

00:21:12.360 You just told me,

00:21:15.340 Jen Psaki,

00:21:16.280 that rising prices

00:21:17.380 are good

00:21:18.240 and they're the signs

00:21:19.740 of a healthy economy.

00:21:21.740 But now you're telling me

00:21:23.140 that Ron Klain

00:21:23.780 is doing everything

00:21:24.420 he can to lower prices.

00:21:26.680 So are the,

00:21:27.720 makes me think

00:21:29.700 that the rising prices

00:21:30.860 are bad.

00:21:32.140 So are the rising prices

00:21:33.540 good or bad?

00:21:34.380 Because you've just told me

00:21:35.640 completely contradictory

00:21:37.040 statements within the span

00:21:38.520 of about 15 seconds.

00:21:40.240 and it's because

00:21:42.060 Jake Tapper

00:21:42.840 calls out the BS

00:21:44.020 which he on occasion

00:21:45.580 actually succeeds in doing.

00:21:48.520 And she backs off immediately.

00:21:50.260 She goes with this BS

00:21:51.540 White House line,

00:21:52.440 rising prices are good.

00:21:53.560 Then he goes,

00:21:54.040 actually that doesn't make sense.

00:21:55.320 She goes,

00:21:55.680 look, we're doing our best.

00:21:56.500 Okay, we're trying,

00:21:57.060 we're trying,

00:21:57.680 we're trying to lower the prices.

00:21:59.000 Please don't yell at us,

00:21:59.880 please.

00:22:02.060 That was easy.

00:22:03.220 That was easy to knock down 0.99

00:22:04.680 that ridiculous argument. 0.89

00:22:07.040 And the inflation is, 0.82

00:22:07.920 it's a big deal right now.

00:22:10.240 The inflation

00:22:10.900 has now risen

00:22:13.660 5.4%

00:22:15.940 from a year ago.

00:22:18.140 This is now matching

00:22:19.360 a 13 year high

00:22:21.300 according to

00:22:22.100 the Associated Press.

00:22:23.500 The lesson of course

00:22:24.640 is pretty simple.

00:22:26.740 Eventually the bill

00:22:27.900 comes due.

00:22:30.020 Okay,

00:22:30.560 the bill comes due.

00:22:31.960 Nothing is free.

00:22:34.200 And this is obviously true

00:22:36.040 in the financial sector,

00:22:38.060 but it's true generally.

00:22:39.480 It's true of society.

00:22:40.860 It's true of culture.

00:22:42.720 We live in a culture

00:22:44.000 where people seem to believe

00:22:46.540 that you can get something

00:22:48.540 for nothing

00:22:49.220 or that you can radically

00:22:51.320 upend certain aspects

00:22:52.840 of society

00:22:53.440 and that will have

00:22:54.300 no consequence

00:22:55.200 on the rest of society.

00:22:56.620 Okay,

00:22:56.740 and it kind of gets back

00:22:57.480 to the paternity leave

00:22:59.020 thing, right?

00:23:00.620 Obviously the bill

00:23:01.340 comes due for paternity leave.

00:23:03.240 Literally it comes due.

00:23:04.200 The company has to pay

00:23:04.900 more money

00:23:05.280 or the government

00:23:05.760 has to pay more money

00:23:06.620 or whatever.

00:23:08.140 But the social bill

00:23:09.700 comes due as well.

00:23:12.580 You can't

00:23:13.680 radically redefine

00:23:16.480 what it means

00:23:16.940 to be a husband

00:23:17.580 and a wife,

00:23:18.640 what it means

00:23:19.140 to be a father

00:23:20.060 and a mother,

00:23:21.320 what it means

00:23:21.780 to be married,

00:23:22.700 what it means

00:23:23.180 to have a family,

00:23:25.140 and then expect

00:23:27.080 that that won't

00:23:28.380 radically alter

00:23:29.400 everything else

00:23:30.340 in society.

00:23:30.900 The family is the

00:23:31.680 fundamental building block,

00:23:33.380 right?

00:23:33.480 It's the basic

00:23:34.400 political unit.

00:23:36.240 And I think

00:23:36.560 there are a lot

00:23:36.960 of right-wingers

00:23:37.820 who have believed

00:23:39.280 mistakenly

00:23:40.100 over the past

00:23:40.900 decade or two

00:23:42.060 that it's no big deal.

00:23:43.940 Yeah, whatever,

00:23:44.500 redefine everything

00:23:45.200 and it's okay.

00:23:46.460 Just don't make me

00:23:47.120 pay for it.

00:23:48.600 You know,

00:23:48.820 redefine everything,

00:23:50.200 totally upend

00:23:50.840 our basic institutions,

00:23:52.200 but hey,

00:23:53.240 don't infringe

00:23:54.200 on my rights.

00:23:55.500 Don't,

00:23:56.060 well,

00:23:56.800 guess what,

00:23:57.480 pal?

00:23:57.840 I think we're

00:23:58.600 beginning to see this.

00:24:00.500 That will have

00:24:01.380 an effect.

00:24:01.860 You can't,

00:24:03.040 you can't do that.

00:24:04.640 You can't,

00:24:05.080 it's amazing

00:24:05.980 that these kind

00:24:06.600 of economics-obsessed

00:24:07.520 conservatives

00:24:08.100 don't realize

00:24:09.360 that there's no such

00:24:10.280 thing as a free lunch.

00:25:11.920 We'll be right back.

00:25:24.620 Joe Biden is threatening

00:25:26.320 the Navy SEALs.

00:25:27.660 As a general rule,

00:25:30.160 it's not smart

00:25:30.840 to threaten Navy SEALs.

00:25:32.480 They tend to be

00:25:33.180 pretty tough hombres.

00:25:35.480 But the Biden

00:25:36.540 Defense Department

00:25:37.900 is threatening Navy SEALs.

00:25:40.100 Why is this?

00:25:41.020 Because

00:25:41.420 a number of SEALs

00:25:43.700 don't want to get

00:25:44.300 the COVID vax.

00:25:46.180 A number of people

00:25:47.340 in the Special Forces,

00:25:48.280 a number of people

00:25:48.840 in the military broadly

00:25:50.180 don't want to get

00:25:51.820 the COVID vax.

00:25:52.640 And when you join

00:25:55.420 the military,

00:25:56.020 you sign away

00:25:56.660 basically all of your rights

00:25:57.940 and people who join

00:25:59.380 the military

00:25:59.800 take lots and lots

00:26:00.740 of vaccines.

00:26:02.020 But they take vaccines

00:26:03.420 that have been

00:26:04.580 pretty well established

00:26:06.300 against things

00:26:07.820 that pose

00:26:08.540 a grave threat

00:26:09.060 to them.

00:26:11.160 COVID doesn't meet

00:26:12.100 either of those criteria.

00:26:14.300 Okay,

00:26:14.580 the COVID stuff

00:26:15.420 is a little bit different

00:26:16.280 because for the vast

00:26:17.460 majority of people,

00:26:18.420 COVID doesn't pose

00:26:19.280 a particularly grave danger.

00:26:21.640 And the COVID vaccine

00:26:22.700 is brand new

00:26:23.360 and there's no,

00:26:24.020 we don't know anything

00:26:24.580 about the long-term effects

00:26:25.740 because,

00:26:26.580 obviously not,

00:26:27.320 because

00:26:27.680 it's only been around

00:26:29.820 for six months

00:26:31.080 or a year.

00:26:31.980 So there just aren't

00:26:33.320 any long-term data.

00:26:35.240 And we have heard

00:26:36.620 reports of blood clotting,

00:26:37.900 that's why they paused

00:26:38.440 the Johnson & Johnson vaccine,

00:26:40.260 and of myocarditis

00:26:41.760 and pericarditis.

00:26:42.800 The CDC and the FDA

00:26:43.720 both acknowledge that

00:26:44.780 and of nerve damage

00:26:46.300 and of other issues too.

00:26:48.540 And there was a study

00:26:49.080 out of UC Davis.

00:26:50.780 Just one study,

00:26:51.960 but we all quote studies

00:26:52.880 these days,

00:26:53.440 that showed that young men,

00:26:54.760 certain young men,

00:26:55.560 face greater risk

00:26:56.260 from the vaccine

00:26:56.840 than from the virus.

00:26:57.900 So these SEALs

00:26:59.300 and these other service members

00:27:00.600 say,

00:27:01.800 I don't think we really

00:27:02.920 want to get that.

00:27:04.380 Well,

00:27:04.580 the Biden administration

00:27:05.520 is threatening

00:27:06.880 to remove them

00:27:07.760 from special warfare.

00:27:09.980 So,

00:27:10.280 you know,

00:27:10.380 they're special operators

00:27:11.640 and remove that designation

00:27:12.920 from them

00:27:13.540 or reduce their salaries

00:27:15.380 or force the SEALs

00:27:18.060 to repay

00:27:18.740 the costs

00:27:20.060 of their training.

00:27:21.600 Right?

00:27:22.080 The SEALs

00:27:22.720 receive some of the,

00:27:24.660 if not the best

00:27:25.520 military training

00:27:26.460 in the entire world ever.

00:27:28.660 And it's not cheap,

00:27:29.820 it's expensive training.

00:27:31.380 And so,

00:27:31.980 what Biden's saying is,

00:27:32.720 well,

00:27:32.800 if you're not going to get the vax,

00:27:34.360 you need to repay us

00:27:35.880 for that training.

00:27:37.600 Now,

00:27:37.940 why is it?

00:27:38.560 I think people are kind of

00:27:39.720 missing the heart

00:27:41.120 of this story.

00:27:42.200 They're focusing this,

00:27:43.760 focusing rather,

00:27:44.800 on the lack of gratitude

00:27:47.440 that the Biden administration

00:27:48.480 has for the military

00:27:51.500 or for the lack of respect

00:27:53.120 the Biden administration

00:27:53.900 has for the military.

00:27:55.580 I don't think that's

00:27:56.600 the big issue.

00:27:57.640 I think what the story shows

00:27:58.920 actually is the incompetence

00:28:01.400 of government.

00:28:02.580 Okay?

00:28:03.780 Because why,

00:28:04.760 the argument for making

00:28:05.800 the SEALs

00:28:06.440 repay the costs

00:28:07.500 of their training

00:28:08.120 is that once these guys

00:28:10.000 get out of the service,

00:28:11.000 what are they going to do?

00:28:12.420 Are they going to go

00:28:13.320 drive Uber?

00:28:16.460 Probably not.

00:28:17.200 Maybe.

00:28:17.600 Probably not.

00:28:18.180 Are they going to go

00:28:19.060 work at Starbucks?

00:28:20.740 Maybe.

00:28:21.320 Probably not.

00:28:22.640 You know what I think

00:28:23.200 they're going to do?

00:28:23.660 I think they're going to go

00:28:24.280 become contractors

00:28:25.620 and do exactly

00:28:27.280 the same job

00:28:28.040 that they're doing now

00:28:28.880 and make

00:28:29.660 about a bazillion dollars

00:28:31.100 more money.

00:28:31.940 It's much more expensive

00:28:32.880 to pay the salaries

00:28:35.520 of these contractors

00:28:36.300 than to pay the salaries

00:28:37.220 of the enlisted men

00:28:39.340 and the officers.

00:28:41.860 Because the United States

00:28:43.020 is still going to need

00:28:44.060 special operators.

00:28:46.700 The United States

00:28:47.280 is still going to have

00:28:47.860 this military need,

00:28:48.900 especially if China

00:28:49.620 keeps aggressing

00:28:50.300 on our interests.

00:28:52.060 So what's going to happen

00:28:53.020 is the Biden administration

00:28:53.980 is going to say,

00:28:54.740 get the vax.

00:28:55.520 Then a bunch of people

00:28:56.200 are going to leave.

00:28:56.760 They're going to say,

00:28:57.060 I don't want to get the vax.

00:28:57.980 Then those people

00:28:58.540 are going to go work

00:28:59.060 for private contractors.

00:29:00.320 And then the Biden administration

00:29:01.440 is going to say,

00:29:02.040 uh-oh, man,

00:29:02.740 we need those warriors back.

00:29:03.820 Okay, go get the contractors. 0.87

00:29:05.520 Go pay and pay them

00:29:06.600 whatever they want.

00:29:08.920 And those contractors

00:29:09.960 are just going to be

00:29:10.520 former SEALs

00:29:11.280 and other sort of

00:29:13.020 special operators

00:29:14.020 and other people

00:29:14.620 who quit

00:29:15.380 because they don't want

00:29:16.760 to take the vaccine.

00:29:18.280 There actually is a limit

00:29:19.380 to what the government

00:29:20.560 can do here.

00:29:21.960 They don't have

00:29:22.720 infinite power

00:29:23.460 and infinite resources.

00:29:24.740 There are some

00:29:25.280 basic constraints.

00:29:27.260 Okay, you're seeing this now.

00:29:29.160 Number of companies

00:29:30.140 are beginning to go back

00:29:32.000 on their vaccine mandates.

00:29:34.080 There was a game

00:29:35.060 of chicken

00:29:35.500 that was being played

00:29:36.360 between the corporations

00:29:39.480 with the backing

00:29:40.400 of the federal government,

00:29:41.480 right?

00:29:41.580 The corporations

00:29:42.180 who were using

00:29:43.040 the Biden administration's

00:29:44.220 ridiculous vaccine mandate

00:29:45.580 as an excuse 0.94

00:29:46.720 to force the vax

00:29:47.660 and the workers.

00:29:50.060 There's a game

00:29:50.700 of chicken

00:29:51.140 and it's led

00:29:51.900 to lots of canceled flights

00:29:53.080 and TSA members

00:29:54.100 walking out

00:29:55.320 and employees

00:29:56.560 generally walking out

00:29:57.580 and cops walking 0.86

00:29:58.320 off the job.

00:29:58.960 And they're fighting,

00:30:00.120 fighting, fighting.

00:30:00.480 And then, in many cases,

00:30:02.380 the corporations

00:30:03.380 have caved,

00:30:05.240 which we'll get to

00:30:05.960 in just one second.

00:30:06.800 Worth pointing out, though,

00:30:08.900 the people

00:30:09.380 instilling these mandates

00:30:11.580 and demanding

00:30:12.180 these mandates

00:30:12.760 don't really believe

00:30:14.260 this stuff.

00:30:15.060 Joe Biden

00:30:15.600 and his wife,

00:30:16.860 Dr. Jill Biden,

00:30:19.700 the most acclaimed

00:30:20.880 surgeon,

00:30:22.460 doctor,

00:30:23.680 doctor, doctor,

00:30:24.920 doesn't have an MD

00:30:25.760 or PhD,

00:30:26.360 but she's doctor. 1.00

00:30:27.020 And Vindman

00:30:30.720 is a lieutenant colonel

00:30:32.660 and Jill Biden

00:30:33.600 is a doctor 1.00

00:30:34.260 and damn you 1.00

00:30:35.560 if you won't use 0.98

00:30:36.300 their proper titles.

00:30:38.740 Biden and Jill

00:30:40.020 got caught

00:30:40.720 at a restaurant

00:30:41.320 in D.C.

00:30:43.100 not wearing the mask.

00:30:44.120 So they're walking in,

00:30:45.480 security detail,

00:30:46.500 they're wearing the masks.

00:30:48.060 The staff members

00:30:49.520 at the restaurant

00:30:50.360 have the masks on.

00:30:52.760 And someone there

00:30:53.580 was filming this happen

00:30:54.800 from their table

00:30:55.600 at the restaurant

00:30:56.180 and Biden

00:30:56.920 and his wife

00:30:57.500 don't have the masks on

00:30:58.420 because no serious person

00:31:00.820 is worried about the masks.

00:31:03.060 Including,

00:31:03.940 I'm not saying

00:31:04.380 Joe Biden's a serious person,

00:31:05.620 but he's serious enough

00:31:06.500 to know that the masks

00:31:07.320 are just not that big a deal.

00:31:09.760 And so he walks in

00:31:11.160 and it's so flagrant.

00:31:12.400 I thought,

00:31:12.980 when I watched this,

00:31:13.900 I thought,

00:31:14.920 Joe Biden must know

00:31:16.700 that people have cell phones.

00:31:18.540 Joe Biden must know

00:31:19.220 that people film him

00:31:19.980 wherever he goes.

00:31:21.500 D.C. has a very strict

00:31:23.340 indoor mask mandate.

00:31:24.980 D.C. forces you,

00:31:26.540 when you get to a restaurant,

00:31:27.760 you have to put the mask on,

00:31:29.240 then you walk to your table

00:31:30.500 and then you're allowed

00:31:31.400 to take the mask off.

00:31:32.320 You're in the bubble

00:31:32.780 of protection.

00:31:33.940 And then at some restaurants,

00:31:34.960 this actually happened to me

00:31:35.640 last time I was in D.C.,

00:31:37.440 the waiter comes to the table,

00:31:39.300 they say,

00:31:39.600 excuse me, sir,

00:31:40.080 while we're at the table,

00:31:41.000 you need to put your mask on

00:31:41.960 while you're ordering.

00:31:43.120 They're that strict about it.

00:31:45.960 And Joe Biden

00:31:46.540 just doesn't wear it.

00:31:48.660 And his wife

00:31:49.260 doesn't wear it.

00:31:51.340 Doesn't he think

00:31:52.080 he's going to get caught?

00:31:52.860 Well, the sad answer is,

00:31:56.280 yeah, he knows

00:31:57.120 that someone's going

00:31:57.620 to film him.

00:31:58.620 He just doesn't care.

00:32:00.580 There's one set of rules

00:32:01.520 for you.

00:32:02.340 There's another set

00:32:03.100 of rules for him.

00:32:04.180 And what are you

00:32:04.720 going to do about it?

00:32:05.900 What are you going

00:32:06.500 to do about it, punk?

00:32:08.440 You can't do anything.

00:32:10.140 Joe Biden, man,

00:32:11.260 he's the most popular

00:32:12.240 president ever in history.

00:32:13.960 He got 80 bazillion votes.

00:32:16.480 Oh, yeah.

00:32:17.100 He got more votes

00:32:18.120 than anyone ever.

00:32:19.740 And he's super popular.

00:32:22.820 And oh, you're protesting him

00:32:24.340 and everyone's chanting,

00:32:25.100 let's go, Brandon.

00:32:25.980 And his poll numbers

00:32:27.500 are tanking.

00:32:28.220 And yes, so what?

00:32:29.400 So what?

00:32:30.320 What are you going

00:32:31.080 to do about it?

00:32:32.420 At the moment,

00:32:33.240 very little.

00:32:34.160 At the moment,

00:32:34.820 very little.

00:32:36.300 Is it any wonder

00:32:37.140 that people don't have

00:32:38.500 trust in these guys?

00:32:40.960 In the Bidens

00:32:42.080 and the Fauci's

00:32:44.200 and all of these

00:32:45.940 creeps

00:32:47.060 who are taking away

00:32:48.120 our rights

00:32:48.820 and our way of life

00:32:50.240 and our traditions

00:32:51.280 and even our ability

00:32:52.320 to dress ourselves

00:32:53.220 the way we want

00:32:53.960 and forcing us

00:32:54.900 to muzzle ourselves,

00:32:56.800 is it any wonder

00:32:57.520 we don't like them

00:32:58.220 very much?

00:32:59.300 Well, Dr. Fauci

00:33:00.320 has a different take.

00:33:02.620 Fauci says the reason

00:33:03.620 people don't like him

00:33:04.520 very much

00:33:05.060 is not because of

00:33:06.940 anything he's done

00:33:08.220 or any lies

00:33:09.760 that he has told

00:33:10.500 or any contempt

00:33:13.060 that he has

00:33:13.620 for the American people.

00:33:14.800 It's because of

00:33:15.940 conspiracy theories.

00:33:17.740 Why do you think

00:33:18.540 you've become

00:33:19.800 so controversial

00:33:20.720 and honestly,

00:33:21.840 do you think

00:33:22.560 there's anything

00:33:22.960 you have done

00:33:23.900 that has contributed

00:33:25.060 to that?

00:33:26.240 Well, I'm not so sure

00:33:27.200 I could answer the latter

00:33:28.140 because I can't think

00:33:28.980 of anything,

00:33:29.520 but I'm sure

00:33:29.940 some people will.

00:33:31.760 But you know,

00:33:32.400 Chris,

00:33:32.800 I have stood for

00:33:34.040 always making

00:33:35.120 science, data,

00:33:36.320 and evidence

00:33:37.060 be what we guide

00:33:38.300 ourselves by.

00:33:39.760 And I think

00:33:40.240 people who feel

00:33:41.400 differently,

00:33:42.120 who have

00:33:42.640 conspiracy theories,

00:33:44.560 who deny reality

00:33:46.120 that's looking them

00:33:46.980 straight in the eye,

00:33:48.640 those are people

00:33:49.440 that don't particularly

00:33:50.520 care for me.

00:33:51.720 And that's understandable

00:33:52.720 because what I do

00:33:53.900 when I try very hard

00:33:55.160 is to be guided

00:33:56.360 by the truth.

00:33:57.800 And sometimes

00:33:58.380 the truth

00:33:59.160 becomes inconvenient

00:34:00.400 for some people

00:34:01.380 so they react

00:34:02.620 against me.

00:34:03.620 That just is

00:34:04.540 what it is.

00:34:05.180 There's not much

00:34:05.800 I can do about that,

00:34:06.880 Chris.

00:34:07.080 I am the way

00:34:08.920 and the truth

00:34:10.000 and the life.

00:34:11.180 Okay?

00:34:12.040 And, uh,

00:34:12.800 well, hold on.

00:34:13.360 Wait.

00:34:14.340 Uh, I think

00:34:15.860 there is someone

00:34:16.980 who is the way

00:34:17.980 and the truth

00:34:18.340 and the life

00:34:18.760 and I don't think

00:34:19.320 it's you,

00:34:20.480 Dr. Fauci.

00:34:22.100 He, I'm not,

00:34:22.920 I don't think

00:34:23.180 I'm exaggerating

00:34:23.820 when I say that.

00:34:24.400 He just said

00:34:24.980 he is the truth

00:34:25.580 and he's said

00:34:25.980 that often.

00:34:26.420 He says,

00:34:26.680 I am science

00:34:27.320 and science is me

00:34:28.060 and I am the truth.

00:34:29.160 People react against me

00:34:30.360 because they don't

00:34:30.680 like the truth, right?

00:34:31.960 It's kind of a weird

00:34:32.620 rewriting of scripture.

00:34:34.660 He says,

00:34:35.100 he's the way,

00:34:35.760 do what I'm doing,

00:34:36.740 order your life

00:34:37.380 in the way

00:34:37.640 that I'm telling you to

00:34:38.540 and I am the life 0.99

00:34:39.380 or you'll die. 0.81

00:34:40.480 If you don't do it, 1.00

00:34:41.320 I say you're going to die. 0.99

00:34:43.580 Talk about a God complex, man. 0.56

00:34:46.700 And to Chris Wallace's credit,

00:34:48.120 he says,

00:34:48.400 hey, hey, Fouch,

00:34:50.460 do you think maybe

00:34:52.220 you bear any,

00:34:53.900 any at all responsibility

00:34:55.840 for the opinion

00:34:57.520 people have of you?

00:34:59.460 Nope.

00:35:00.960 Uh-uh.

00:35:02.200 Not even a little bit.

00:35:04.020 Nuh-uh.

00:35:04.460 It's all them. 1.00

00:35:05.180 They're bad and stupid. 1.00

00:35:07.220 I'm Dr. Fauci. 1.00

00:35:10.020 Good grief, man.

00:35:11.220 What a, you know,

00:35:11.840 he's a really good politician,

00:35:13.080 you can tell,

00:35:13.540 because he never admits

00:35:14.320 that he did anything wrong ever.

00:35:16.080 Do you think the reason

00:35:16.940 people don't like you,

00:35:17.740 Dr. Fauci,

00:35:18.180 you might have something

00:35:18.640 to do with the fact

00:35:19.260 that you lied to them

00:35:20.700 at your very first moment

00:35:22.060 in the epidemic.

00:35:23.840 You said masks don't work.

00:35:25.400 It's your opinion

00:35:26.120 that masks don't work

00:35:27.300 and you shouldn't wear them.

00:35:28.240 And then five seconds later,

00:35:29.540 you said,

00:35:30.080 actually, they do work

00:35:31.000 and you should wear them.

00:35:32.040 And then when asked

00:35:32.700 to explain it,

00:35:33.360 you said,

00:35:33.640 well, yeah,

00:35:34.120 I lied to them

00:35:35.160 so that they wouldn't

00:35:36.620 buy up all the masks

00:35:37.600 and then take them away

00:35:38.520 from the healthcare workers

00:35:39.440 who I think deserve them more.

00:35:41.160 Yeah, but believe me now,

00:35:43.260 you think it has anything

00:35:44.000 to do with that kind of stuff?

00:35:45.300 Do you think it has anything

00:35:46.000 to do with 15 days

00:35:47.020 to slow the spread

00:35:47.800 that we're now entering

00:35:49.260 our 595th day of,

00:35:52.360 just about?

00:35:53.540 I think it has anything

00:35:54.060 to do with that.

00:35:55.420 I think it has anything

00:35:56.060 to do with

00:35:56.780 your not wearing a mask

00:35:59.160 when you don't think

00:36:00.260 you're on camera

00:36:00.880 with your canceling Christmas,

00:36:03.480 with your seizing power

00:36:06.320 and power,

00:36:06.820 more and more and more power,

00:36:08.420 with your holding power

00:36:11.520 in DC

00:36:12.080 through seven presidencies now?

00:36:14.340 Yeah,

00:36:14.540 has anything to do with that?

00:36:15.360 No.

00:36:15.960 No, no.

00:36:17.040 They persecute me

00:36:18.500 because I am the truth.

00:36:20.540 Oh, okay.

00:36:22.240 Must have missed that.

00:36:23.820 Some good news

00:36:24.420 on this front, though.

00:36:26.000 I alluded to it

00:36:26.800 just a moment ago.

00:36:29.800 We're winning a little bit

00:36:31.120 on this battle

00:36:32.120 with the corporations.

00:36:33.560 We're playing a game

00:36:34.320 of chicken.

00:36:35.620 Corporations are saying,

00:36:36.440 you got to get the vax.

00:36:37.400 You got to do it.

00:36:38.440 The government's telling us

00:36:39.440 you got to do it.

00:36:40.140 And the workers are saying,

00:36:41.280 no, maybe not.

00:36:43.100 And then the corporations

00:36:45.320 on occasion back down,

00:36:46.680 including Delta.

00:36:48.420 Delta Airlines

00:36:49.340 had a pretty strict

00:36:51.820 vax mandate.

00:36:53.540 I've flown Delta a bunch.

00:36:55.680 Since the lockdowns hit.

00:36:58.900 And Delta,

00:37:00.860 I always found,

00:37:01.400 was the best airline.

00:37:02.960 They had the best service,

00:37:04.280 most meticulous sort of stuff,

00:37:06.000 which ironically meant

00:37:07.380 that during COVID,

00:37:08.240 it was the worst airline

00:37:09.200 because they were so meticulous

00:37:11.540 because they're so focused

00:37:13.360 on the details of their job

00:37:15.660 that when their job entailed

00:37:17.800 them making people 0.99

00:37:18.440 wear the dumb mask, 0.99

00:37:19.720 they were hyper-focused on it. 1.00

00:37:21.700 And they were hyper-clean

00:37:24.160 and they wouldn't let you,

00:37:25.260 you know,

00:37:25.440 have a drink

00:37:25.900 or any of these sorts of things.

00:37:27.520 So Delta came out

00:37:29.740 and said,

00:37:31.040 we're going to have

00:37:31.320 a vax mandate.

00:37:32.180 And the workers said,

00:37:32.920 please don't.

00:37:33.860 And then Delta

00:37:34.720 just backed down.

00:37:35.980 Ed Bastian,

00:37:36.780 the CEO of Delta,

00:37:39.000 quote,

00:37:39.440 acknowledged that there

00:37:40.460 will need to be religious 1.00

00:37:41.460 and medical accommodations

00:37:42.460 made for those

00:37:43.060 who wish to remain

00:37:43.740 unvaccinated

00:37:44.840 while avoiding

00:37:45.880 having to threaten

00:37:46.660 employment status.

00:37:48.100 This,

00:37:48.440 according to Fox Business,

00:37:49.780 quote,

00:37:49.940 by the time we're done,

00:37:51.040 we'll be pretty close

00:37:51.840 to fully vaccinated

00:37:52.660 as a company

00:37:53.200 without going through

00:37:54.260 all the divisiveness

00:37:55.380 of a mandate.

00:37:58.380 Well,

00:37:58.760 that's a change of tune

00:37:59.920 because initially

00:38:01.300 you heard,

00:38:02.480 we're going to,

00:38:02.800 yay,

00:38:02.980 we're going to mandate it,

00:38:03.840 baby.

00:38:04.100 You got to do it. 1.00

00:38:05.880 Put up or shut up 0.98

00:38:07.080 or get out, 0.99

00:38:07.900 right?

00:38:08.140 And you saw this

00:38:08.840 with United.

00:38:09.420 United laid off

00:38:10.120 a lot of people

00:38:10.900 who wouldn't get the vax

00:38:11.840 and Joe Biden

00:38:13.180 bragged about it.

00:38:14.600 He said,

00:38:14.980 yeah,

00:38:15.100 a ton of people

00:38:15.520 lost their jobs,

00:38:16.380 but look,

00:38:17.240 now United has

00:38:18.040 a 99% vaccination rate.

00:38:19.600 Yeah,

00:38:19.740 because they fired

00:38:20.300 all the people

00:38:20.700 who wouldn't get it.

00:38:21.380 Wow,

00:38:22.180 that's one way

00:38:23.080 to solve

00:38:24.180 employment problems.

00:38:25.660 But what Delta's saying

00:38:27.280 is,

00:38:27.600 no,

00:38:28.700 we're going to encourage

00:38:29.440 people to do it.

00:38:30.440 We're going to incentivize

00:38:31.360 people to get the vaccine,

00:38:32.800 but we're not going

00:38:34.040 to force them to

00:38:34.720 and we're not going

00:38:35.260 to take their jobs

00:38:36.060 away if they don't.

00:38:37.340 Great stuff.

00:38:38.120 That's the way to do it.

00:38:39.680 And I suspect they did it.

00:38:41.240 One,

00:38:41.800 Delta's a good company.

00:38:42.640 It's basically

00:38:43.280 a well-run company.

00:38:44.600 But two,

00:38:46.180 the people pushed back.

00:38:47.640 Okay,

00:38:48.040 and Delta looked

00:38:48.880 at the power they had

00:38:49.880 and they said,

00:38:51.420 this is not the way.

00:38:53.200 This is not a good way

00:38:54.180 to run a company.

00:38:57.300 The people pushing back

00:38:58.920 against entrenched power

00:39:00.240 is a very wonderful thing

00:39:02.800 when the people

00:39:03.740 are abusing their power

00:39:05.060 who are in those

00:39:06.660 positions of authority.

00:39:08.440 You see this

00:39:08.860 in Loudoun County.

00:39:09.860 The Daily Wire

00:39:10.560 broke a story

00:39:11.320 the other day

00:39:11.800 that finally

00:39:12.520 the establishment media

00:39:13.560 have had to acknowledge.

00:39:15.740 In Loudoun County,

00:39:16.800 there was a rape

00:39:19.000 that took place

00:39:21.440 in a bathroom 0.66

00:39:22.640 and it was a violent rape 0.97

00:39:24.200 of a young girl 0.99

00:39:24.920 and it took place

00:39:27.420 in a school

00:39:28.600 where the boys

00:39:30.320 are allowed

00:39:30.640 to go into

00:39:30.960 the girls' bathrooms 0.98

00:39:31.760 if they pretend

00:39:32.740 that there's no difference

00:39:33.780 between men and women.

00:39:35.460 There was a boy

00:39:36.060 who occasionally

00:39:36.620 wears a dress

00:39:37.340 and he allegedly 0.99

00:39:38.940 raped this girl 0.97

00:39:39.840 and the school 1.00

00:39:41.860 covered it up.

00:39:43.500 The school covered it up

00:39:44.740 because obviously

00:39:46.660 the gender bending 0.93

00:39:47.580 policies had some role here

00:39:49.140 and we all like to pretend

00:39:50.120 that there's no difference

00:39:50.880 between men and women 0.90

00:39:51.560 and mom and dad

00:39:52.160 and girls and boys

00:39:52.860 but there is.

00:39:53.700 There's a big difference

00:39:54.380 and the reality

00:39:55.720 keeps reasserting itself

00:39:57.680 and so the school

00:39:58.780 covered it up.

00:39:59.480 Well,

00:40:00.320 the superintendent

00:40:00.780 of that school

00:40:01.480 has just acknowledged.

00:40:03.100 He wouldn't apologize

00:40:03.760 but he acknowledged

00:40:04.420 what he did.

00:40:04.960 Scott Ziegler,

00:40:05.640 he said,

00:40:06.300 this lack of oversight

00:40:07.080 that existed prior

00:40:07.900 to my tenure

00:40:08.340 also contributed

00:40:09.040 to errors

00:40:09.540 in our state reporting

00:40:10.480 regarding disciplinary

00:40:11.880 incidents in schools.

00:40:13.320 The division

00:40:13.800 inadvertently omitted

00:40:14.980 some information

00:40:15.680 in the past.

00:40:16.480 This is extremely concerning.

00:40:17.720 We're making steps

00:40:19.020 to make sure

00:40:19.620 that this is improved.

00:40:21.480 No,

00:40:21.820 no, buddy,

00:40:22.360 you lied

00:40:22.720 is what happened.

00:40:23.400 You lied.

00:40:24.720 I'm glad that you're

00:40:25.720 not admitting

00:40:26.440 that you did anything wrong

00:40:27.440 but you're admitting

00:40:27.900 some wrong was done.

00:40:29.040 Now you should

00:40:29.560 either resign

00:40:30.660 or be investigated

00:40:32.740 and then resign

00:40:34.540 or be investigated

00:40:35.920 and resign

00:40:36.540 and possibly go to jail.

00:40:38.140 This is a good first step

00:40:39.300 and it's only

00:40:39.660 because the people

00:40:40.160 of Loudoun County

00:40:40.840 were pushing

00:40:41.320 and it's only

00:40:42.080 because of that

00:40:42.640 great investigative journalist

00:40:43.820 at the Daily Wire.

00:41:29.280 The ruling class 0.97

00:41:33.640 is really,

00:41:35.120 really upset

00:41:35.840 that parents

00:41:37.980 are pushing back

00:41:39.280 against entrenched power,

00:41:41.620 especially at the level

00:41:42.500 of the school board.

00:41:43.300 They're really,

00:41:43.880 really upset about it.

00:41:44.840 You remember,

00:41:45.400 I referred to him earlier.

00:41:47.040 Lieutenant Colonel Vindman.

00:41:49.080 Alexander Vindman

00:41:50.100 was this twerp

00:41:51.780 who was undermining

00:41:54.480 civilian authority

00:41:55.540 and was really anti-Trump

00:41:57.220 during the Trump administration

00:41:58.340 and he was testifying

00:42:01.320 before Congress

00:42:03.620 and someone said,

00:42:04.960 Mr. Vindman,

00:42:06.040 so and so and so.

00:42:07.580 And he stopped that person

00:42:08.660 and said,

00:42:08.860 how dare you?

00:42:10.000 I'm Lieutenant Colonel Vindman.

00:42:12.020 It's kind of like

00:42:12.480 when people correct

00:42:13.140 people for saying

00:42:14.800 Mrs. Jill Biden.

00:42:16.100 Let's do Dr. Jill Biden. 0.99

00:42:17.540 Okay, so Lieutenant Colonel Vindman

00:42:19.580 said that parents

00:42:20.620 showing up to school board meetings,

00:42:22.260 that's not how democracy

00:42:23.160 is supposed to work.

00:42:24.500 Literally a woman

00:42:25.420 at the school board meeting

00:42:26.420 said she wasn't able

00:42:28.440 to sign up to talk

00:42:29.180 about critical race theory,

00:42:30.600 so she signed up

00:42:31.120 to talk about salaries

00:42:32.080 and her first opening salvo

00:42:33.840 is I'm here to talk

00:42:35.200 about salaries.

00:42:36.280 You shouldn't be getting yours

00:42:37.420 because you're not

00:42:38.180 doing your job.

00:42:39.600 So this is what

00:42:41.200 they want to say.

00:42:41.940 Like we're only going

00:42:42.660 to pay you

00:42:43.260 if you do

00:42:44.040 what we tell you

00:42:45.180 you should do

00:42:46.360 and that's just

00:42:47.160 not how things work

00:42:48.300 in a democracy.

00:42:49.320 I'm sorry,

00:42:49.940 if you were listening to that,

00:42:50.840 you might be under

00:42:51.340 the impression

00:42:51.800 that Lieutenant Colonel Vindman

00:42:53.220 had a sex change.

00:42:54.560 It was not Vindman

00:42:56.000 who made the comment,

00:42:56.720 it was Vindman's wife

00:42:58.200 who is an activist

00:42:59.260 of these sorts.

00:43:00.240 So clearly

00:43:01.340 a lot of resemblances

00:43:03.080 here in the family

00:43:03.960 in the way

00:43:05.240 that the Vindmans 0.52

00:43:06.740 look at democracy.

00:43:09.520 Lieutenant Colonel Vindman

00:43:10.740 did not like the idea

00:43:11.740 that the people

00:43:12.220 made this choice

00:43:12.860 to elect Donald Trump

00:43:13.860 and Vindman's wife

00:43:15.300 does not like this idea

00:43:16.300 that people

00:43:16.840 are asserting power

00:43:18.080 in their local communities

00:43:20.380 and going up

00:43:20.860 to the school board.

00:43:21.440 This is not

00:43:22.700 how democracy works.

00:43:23.800 That's exactly

00:43:24.380 how democracy works.

00:43:25.940 That's why we have

00:43:26.500 school boards.

00:43:27.900 That's why parents

00:43:29.660 show up to these meetings

00:43:31.260 and voice their opinions.

00:43:33.280 It's a reminder though

00:43:34.340 that when the Libs

00:43:37.000 talk about our democracy

00:43:38.620 and they pretend

00:43:39.160 to care a lot

00:43:39.680 about our democracy,

00:43:40.660 they don't really mean

00:43:41.720 our democracy.

00:43:43.120 They mean

00:43:43.820 their oligarchy

00:43:45.820 and they mean

00:43:46.740 at a philosophical level

00:43:48.520 liberalism.

00:43:49.380 And democracy

00:43:51.120 and liberalism

00:43:52.020 are related concepts

00:43:53.500 but they're not

00:43:54.340 the same thing.

00:43:56.220 You could have

00:43:57.080 a rather conservative

00:43:58.140 democracy.

00:43:59.400 You could have

00:43:59.940 a rather right-wing

00:44:01.020 democracy

00:44:01.720 and it wouldn't

00:44:03.140 be particularly liberal.

00:44:06.020 Right?

00:44:06.720 So when the people

00:44:07.820 for instance

00:44:08.380 go and elect

00:44:09.000 Donald Trump

00:44:09.600 that is a great

00:44:11.320 expression of our democracy

00:44:12.540 but it's not very liberal.

00:44:15.240 And when the left

00:44:16.560 uses this phrase

00:44:17.380 our democracy

00:44:17.980 they're referring

00:44:19.420 to liberalism.

00:44:20.420 Okay?

00:44:20.500 This is not how

00:44:21.000 liberalism is supposed

00:44:22.000 to work.

00:44:23.120 Parents are

00:44:23.500 according to liberalism

00:44:25.040 and according to

00:44:26.020 progressivism

00:44:26.940 the parents are supposed

00:44:28.940 to be thrilled

00:44:29.460 that critical race theory

00:44:30.380 is being taught

00:44:30.860 in schools.

00:44:32.240 The parents are supposed

00:44:32.800 to be thrilled

00:44:33.300 that little Johnny

00:44:34.420 is being told

00:44:34.980 he can be little Jane.

00:44:36.960 That's supposed

00:44:37.600 to be a wonderful thing.

00:44:39.040 The fact that parents

00:44:40.080 of all stripes

00:44:40.840 of all shapes

00:44:41.480 of all different ages

00:44:42.980 are pushing back

00:44:44.420 against this

00:44:45.100 that's a great rebuke

00:44:47.100 of liberalism

00:44:47.820 and the Vindmans

00:44:49.120 can't tolerate that.

00:44:52.000 Okay?

00:44:52.320 And they're gonna

00:44:52.680 fight back.

00:44:53.680 The ruling class 0.97

00:44:54.420 is gonna fight back

00:44:55.320 and the ruling class

00:44:56.260 still has a lot of power.

00:44:58.220 A New York City judge

00:44:59.500 has just

00:45:01.260 barred

00:45:02.360 a father

00:45:03.260 from visiting

00:45:04.420 his three-year-old daughter

00:45:05.820 unless he takes

00:45:07.460 the Fauci ouchie

00:45:08.700 or submits

00:45:09.980 to weekly

00:45:10.760 COVID tests

00:45:11.960 because

00:45:13.540 the judge says

00:45:15.420 Judge Matthew Cooper

00:45:17.260 says

00:45:18.780 that

00:45:19.360 it's not

00:45:20.960 in the child's

00:45:21.620 best interests.

00:45:23.480 This is according

00:45:24.220 to the New York Post.

00:45:26.120 The father

00:45:26.860 was unnamed here.

00:45:27.940 Obviously,

00:45:28.240 the parents are divorced

00:45:29.400 or getting divorced

00:45:30.560 and the judge says

00:45:31.720 no, it's not.

00:45:32.180 So,

00:45:33.020 three-year-olds

00:45:33.980 face statistically

00:45:35.440 an infinitesimally

00:45:38.380 small risk

00:45:39.380 from coronavirus.

00:45:40.660 coronavirus.

00:45:43.620 But,

00:45:44.440 if this dad

00:45:45.940 won't go along

00:45:47.060 and get the experimental

00:45:48.140 drug to fight

00:45:49.120 against the cough

00:45:50.360 that poses

00:45:51.500 relatively

00:45:52.420 very low risk

00:45:53.500 even to him,

00:45:54.840 he won't be able

00:45:55.800 to see his kid.

00:45:56.720 So, yeah, look,

00:45:57.240 we're not gonna mandate

00:45:57.900 the vaccine.

00:45:59.040 We're just going

00:46:00.060 to take away

00:46:00.900 your job

00:46:01.620 and your money

00:46:02.380 and your ability

00:46:03.680 to go out

00:46:04.540 and your ability

00:46:05.300 to interact

00:46:06.000 in society

00:46:06.580 and your kids

00:46:07.460 if you don't do it.

00:46:09.520 So, you want to do it?

00:46:11.380 You gonna get it?

00:46:12.380 You gonna do it?

00:46:13.400 Come on.

00:46:14.200 Just do it.

00:46:15.100 This is

00:46:15.880 techno-medical

00:46:18.560 tyranny.

00:46:20.520 That's what it is.

00:46:21.480 And this is why

00:46:22.340 I would strongly recommend

00:46:23.420 that if you are asked

00:46:26.040 about whether or not

00:46:27.460 you've had the vaccine,

00:46:28.900 don't tell people.

00:46:31.880 I've seen this

00:46:32.600 on both sides.

00:46:33.640 Okay, I've seen

00:46:34.240 some people who are,

00:46:35.580 they're the kinds

00:46:36.040 of Republicans

00:46:36.580 who, like,

00:46:37.820 love the idea

00:46:39.060 of this vaccine

00:46:39.680 and they're really

00:46:40.440 afraid of the coronavirus

00:46:41.360 and they say,

00:46:42.580 look, I love the vaccine.

00:46:43.720 I'm very pro-vaccine.

00:46:44.760 This is the greatest

00:46:45.620 vaccine ever

00:46:46.220 but I don't think

00:46:47.360 it should be mandated

00:46:48.040 but I love it.

00:46:48.640 I got it.

00:46:49.200 I got seven of them.

00:46:50.480 You know,

00:46:50.640 I'm about to get one

00:46:51.280 next Tuesday

00:46:51.820 but I don't think

00:46:53.520 other people

00:46:53.880 should be forced

00:46:54.340 to get it.

00:46:55.520 Then on the other side,

00:46:56.420 you've got some conservatives

00:46:57.120 who are really proud

00:46:57.880 of not having the vaccine

00:46:59.600 and they'll say,

00:47:00.780 they'll brag about that.

00:47:01.920 They'll say,

00:47:02.180 oh yeah,

00:47:02.480 I didn't get the vaccine.

00:47:03.340 I'm not gonna get the vaccine.

00:47:04.620 There's no way

00:47:05.700 I'm ever gonna get the vaccine.

00:47:06.660 I would not recommend

00:47:08.460 saying either of those things

00:47:10.780 because

00:47:12.040 we're living in a world

00:47:15.260 where this is real,

00:47:16.440 where this is a real form

00:47:17.560 of power

00:47:18.140 and where

00:47:19.040 real entrenched

00:47:20.260 authorities

00:47:21.120 are using

00:47:22.680 vaccination status

00:47:24.020 to lord power

00:47:25.220 over other people.

00:47:26.400 And so,

00:47:26.880 for your own

00:47:27.600 self-preservation

00:47:28.460 and for the

00:47:30.280 good of society

00:47:31.360 writ large,

00:47:32.040 I would basically

00:47:33.820 just not disclose

00:47:35.040 whether or not

00:47:37.000 you've got,

00:47:37.460 whether you think 0.99

00:47:38.160 the vaccine is dumb 0.98

00:47:38.980 or whether you think 0.99

00:47:40.140 the vaccine is great.

00:47:41.100 I would probably

00:47:42.020 not disclose it

00:47:43.200 because

00:47:44.300 the way

00:47:45.560 that the authorities

00:47:46.680 are wielding power here

00:47:47.780 is by,

00:47:50.940 is through knowledge.

00:47:52.120 It's through knowledge

00:47:52.680 of who is vaccinated.

00:47:53.560 The reason that Biden

00:47:54.500 pushed for that

00:47:55.340 OSHA vaccine mandate

00:47:56.900 when he did

00:47:58.200 is because

00:47:59.120 by that time,

00:48:00.500 at least

00:48:00.960 according to the data,

00:48:02.580 the majority of Americans

00:48:03.620 had received

00:48:04.300 some sort of vaccination.

00:48:06.240 He couldn't have done it

00:48:07.160 at the beginning

00:48:07.740 because not enough people

00:48:09.040 had done it.

00:48:10.140 And so,

00:48:10.480 they already knew

00:48:11.300 that they were outnumbered

00:48:12.900 at that point.

00:48:14.400 Now,

00:48:14.820 they know that

00:48:15.240 they've got the numbers

00:48:16.000 so they can probably

00:48:16.840 push for it.

00:48:17.440 So,

00:48:17.560 I would just,

00:48:17.920 I would deprive them

00:48:18.940 of that sort of knowledge.

00:48:21.300 Okay?

00:48:21.880 These are people

00:48:22.560 with a very radical agenda

00:48:23.960 and they want to upend

00:48:25.180 a whole lot of things.

00:48:26.540 Not just the economy,

00:48:27.740 not just the supply chain,

00:48:28.920 not just inflation,

00:48:29.940 not just,

00:48:30.200 look,

00:48:30.660 Joe Biden himself

00:48:31.460 said it

00:48:32.160 or his representative

00:48:32.880 said it,

00:48:33.500 that they want

00:48:34.140 to use this opportunity

00:48:35.300 of the lockdowns

00:48:36.320 and the epidemic,

00:48:37.160 they want to exploit it

00:48:38.000 to rework the entire economy.

00:48:40.580 They want to rework

00:48:41.360 the way
