The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 918 - The Vaccine Gets #MeToo'd

00:00:00.000 For a year now, many women, including friends and family members of mine, probably friends and

00:00:05.420 family members of yours too, have refused to get the COVID vaccine out of fear that it would

00:00:11.100 disrupt their menstrual cycle. The experts called these women idiots, conspiracy theorists, 1.00

00:00:17.720 anti-science rubes. The public health establishment spoke with one voice through the largest media 1.00

00:00:24.760 channels in America to fact check and debunk these claims. The science, we were told, was clear.

00:00:32.300 The COVID vaccines do not affect women's menstrual cycles.

00:00:38.440 We're going to turn now to our Dr. Jen Ashton, who has some answers to some of your more pressing

00:00:43.020 medical questions. We'll start with the first one, Dr. Jen. Is there a relationship between the

00:00:47.860 vaccines and menstrual cycles? We've definitely talked about this.

00:00:51.820 We sure have, you guys. And this is really spreading like wildfire on social media with

00:00:55.560 zero scientific or medical basis for this. Remember, in medicine, every time we talk about

00:01:01.880 a study, a finding, what is the first thing we say? Big difference between association and

00:01:07.420 causation. So yes, women can get the vaccine and then experience changes in their menstrual

00:01:12.900 cycle. That does not mean that one causes the other. And in fact, if you look at the biology

00:01:18.460 of how these vaccines work, there is zero hormonal interaction. So please, let's put that to rest.

00:01:26.100 Yes, this got a lot of attention because a school actually in Florida was telling teachers

00:01:29.760 that they use sight of this as a reason for not being vaccinated.

00:01:33.280 Defies science.

00:01:34.420 So always good to repeat. Thank you.

00:01:36.440 Can you believe that a school was using this kind of rumor, this this thing spreading like

00:01:41.600 wildfire? Can we put it to rest, please? Okay. There's no evidence that the vaccines affect

00:01:47.640 women's menstrual cycles. It's not even possible for the vaccines to affect women's menstrual cycles.

00:01:53.700 It defies science, except whoopsie daisy. Turns out the vaccines change women's menstrual cycles.

00:02:00.480 According to a new study published on Thursday in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology just revealed

00:02:08.520 that many women vaccinated against COVID-19 saw a delay in the onset of their menstrual periods

00:02:15.320 compared to unvaccinated women. The National Institutes of Health have now admitted the possibility 0.93

00:02:21.940 that the vaccines affect women's menstrual cycles. And the establishment media, including ABC,

00:02:28.920 which ran that segment that we just heard, are admitting it too. Here's the ABC headline.

00:02:34.800 COVID-19 vaccine linked to small temporary changes in menstrual cycles, study finds. You see,

00:02:41.820 it's just a small change. It's just a temporary change. The public health experts and media

00:02:48.420 propagandists who told us for the better part of a year that this vaccine side effect was not only

00:02:54.400 non-existent, but impossible are now telling us not to worry when it happens. If you still believe

00:03:02.380 a word that comes out of these people's mouths, then I fear you are suffering from a side effect,

00:03:07.620 not of the vaccines, but of the mass psychosis that our rulers have inflicted on society.

00:03:13.780 I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.

00:03:22.780 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday from Keith Shaw, who says the only

00:03:27.780 comparison between December 7th, September 11th and January 6th is the amount of news coverage that

00:03:35.480 they have received. That's true. That's true. Despite Kamala Harris saying that terrorists flying

00:03:41.180 airplanes into buildings and killing 3000 Americans is the same thing, very similar to a horn hat guy 0.99

00:03:47.160 dancing around the Capitol rotunda. Those events have nothing to do with one another except the media

00:03:53.280 coverage that they've gotten. And if the media succeed at mythologizing January 6th, they'll be

00:04:01.180 thought of in much the same way in American history. That's a real downside of our propaganda

00:04:07.080 machine that we have in this country. Now, if you want some upside, I would recommend you check out

00:04:11.820 GetUpside. I'm thrilled to introduce an incredible app that everyone who buys gas needs to know about.

00:04:18.440 GetUpside. My listeners right now are making up to 25 cents for every gallon of gas every time they

00:04:24.320 fill up just by downloading the free GetUpside app in the App Store or Google Play right now and using

00:04:29.480 promo code Knowles. Actually, I should go a little further. They're making 25 cents for every gallon.

00:04:35.760 Except for those first gallons. On your first fill up, you can actually get up to 50 cents cash back.

00:04:41.440 All right? Do not pay full price at the pump anymore. Do not leave cash on the table. Get

00:04:45.520 cash back using GetUpside. It's super simple. Download the app. Use promo code Knowles. You get

00:04:51.180 the cash back very easily directly to your bank account or if you prefer through an Amazon gift card or

00:05:03.500 app right now from Google Play or the App Store. Use my promo code Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. You will

00:05:12.640 get back up to 50 cents per gallon cash back on your first tank. That is code Knowles. I have no reason

00:05:20.300 to believe that the relationship between the COVID vaccine and the menstrual cycle is anything more

00:05:28.960 than a small and temporary change. It might very well be. According to the study, it only delayed

00:05:35.340 women's period by 15 hours, 17 hours. So it might be a small change. The issue is the experts and the

00:05:47.420 public health gurus and the officials and the media journalist communicators told us that this

00:05:54.900 could not happen, that it was not possible, that not only was there no evidence for it, but it defied

00:06:03.760 the science, which means that these people, the public health experts, the gurus, the journalists 1.00

00:06:09.200 are either idiots. They have no idea what's going on. They just don't know what they're talking about, 1.00

00:06:14.480 in which case we shouldn't believe a word they say, or they're liars. They know that there very likely

00:06:20.680 is a link, but they think that it's better to downplay it or to deny it altogether because they

00:06:25.300 don't want to discourage people from getting the vaccine. They're deceivers, in which case there's

00:06:30.460 no reason to believe a word they say, or as I suspect is the case, they're both. I think they're

00:06:34.700 actually idiots and liars regardless. If you are still believing these people, the Fauci's and the 1.00

00:06:46.860 bringing on now, our network medical analyst is coming on to debunk all these. If you believe

00:06:51.860 these people, I can't help you. After two years of this, of them getting caught in error after error

00:07:01.780 and lie after willful, intentional lie after lie, I don't know how to help you. Then you're lost.

00:07:09.520 You have been hypnotized because it's, it's not just about this study or that study. It's not just

00:07:17.240 about, well, do the masks really protect against this kind of particle or do they, or did Dr. Fauci

00:07:21.660 really think they didn't work or they really did work? It's not just, well, does the vaccine really

00:07:25.320 change the matter? How much? It's not about the details. It's about the fact that these people

00:07:29.520 either have no idea what they're talking about or are lying to you or both. Some people still don't

00:07:34.620 get it. Whoopi Goldberg, host of The View, just got the Rona. And she couldn't believe that she

00:07:41.680 got the Rona because she did everything that the public health experts told her to do.

00:07:45.540 I left a couple of weeks ago, just before the break, because somebody I had been around

00:07:52.720 tested positive for coronavirus. So I left. So I've been gone a long time, I feel. And I was all

00:08:00.100 excited and, you know, they have to test us. And so they sent people to test me and they tested me

00:08:08.600 and it was like, oh no, you're not, you're not coming back. We're not sending anybody to your house.

00:08:13.960 You have Corona. And it was like, wait, what? What? It was, it was a shock because, you know,

00:08:19.900 I'm triple vaxxed. I haven't been anywhere. I haven't done anything, but that's the, that's the thing

00:08:24.580 about the Omicron. You just don't know where it is. You don't know where it is, who's got it,

00:08:30.160 who's passing it. So, you know, it's one of those things where you think I've done everything I was

00:08:35.160 supposed to do. Yeah. It doesn't, it doesn't, um, it doesn't stop Omicron. And that's the problem

00:08:40.440 with a variant because it gets stronger and does different stuff to you. So, you know,

00:08:47.460 unless everybody gets vaccinated, this is what we're going to be facing for the next, uh, you know,

00:08:53.280 a little while. She's so close, but she still doesn't get it. Cause did you hear what she said?

00:08:57.900 She said, look, we, that's why we just all need to get vaccinated because right now what's happening

00:09:01.700 is, is the unvaccinated or getting infected and the unvaccinated are allowing the virus to mutate

00:09:08.000 and the unvaccinated or transmitting the virus. And so that's what we just all need to. We just

00:09:12.100 need to more closely follow what these idiots are telling us to do. And then there won't be any 1.00

00:09:17.860 more Corona virus, except, except despite the fact that our rulers and the public health experts,

00:09:23.280 told us that the vaccines would stop us from being infected and transmitting the virus.

00:09:27.240 They then reversed course and they admitted that the vaccines actually don't prevent you from

00:09:31.140 contracting or transmitting the virus. What they can't do anymore is prevent transmission.

00:09:36.640 You know, we didn't have vaccines that block transmission. We got vaccines that help you with

00:09:41.560 your health, but they only slightly reduce the transmissions. We need a new, new way of doing the

00:09:47.160 vaccine. The level of virus in the nasopharynx of a person who's vaccinated and infected

00:09:53.280 is the same level as the level of virus in the nasopharynx of an unvaccinated person.

00:10:00.460 Reports from our international colleagues, including Israel, suggest increased risk of severe disease

00:10:06.920 amongst those vaccinated early. And if you look at Israel, which has always been a month to a month 0.56

00:10:14.920 and a half ahead of us, they are seeing a waning of immunity, not only against infection, but against

00:10:24.020 hospitalizations and to some extent death. The booster might actually be an essential part

00:10:30.280 of the primary regimen that people should have.

00:10:33.740 Everything we told you before isn't true, but do what we say now. That's what they're saying.

00:10:38.280 The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and over again and expecting

00:10:45.880 a different result. And that's what Whoopi Goldberg is saying. She's saying,

00:10:50.620 I did everything they told me to do and they told me I was going to be okay, but then I wasn't. And I

00:10:55.600 got the vaccine and I got the vaccine and I got the booster and I, but I still got COVID and I was

00:11:00.780 around people with the vaccines and the booster and I still got, it doesn't make sense. Oh,

00:11:05.040 I guess I better just keep doing what they tell me to do. I, it's so strange. I was told that the

00:11:12.260 vaccines could not possibly change my menstrual cycle, but then they did. Guess I better listen

00:11:18.240 to the experts more. No, no, I don't. I don't think that's true. I think that if you have two brain

00:11:24.300 cells to rub together, I hate to be so harsh, but if you have two brain cells to rub together,

00:11:29.640 you, you must conclude at this point that whatever the experts tell you about COVID,

00:11:37.960 about the vaccines, about the masks, about, about what you should have for breakfast in the morning

00:11:41.680 is not credible. They might be right, but they'll only accidentally be right. They've squandered all

00:11:48.360 of their credibility. It is as though people have been hypnotized. If one of my employees had as bad a

00:11:56.820 record as all these genius experts and propagandists have for the past two years, I would fire them.

00:12:03.500 And then I would need to go check out ZipRecruiter. 2022 is going to be a huge year for a lot of

00:12:09.180 businesses. Okay. I think it's going to be true for almost all businesses, but in particular,

00:12:19.440 conferences, home improvement. If you work for or own a business in one of those growing industries or a

00:12:24.600 wide range of other industries, you probably need to hire ASAP. There's only one way to do it.

00:13:15.720 the smartest way to hire. It feels as though we are living in a mass psychosis. When you walk up to a

00:13:22.940 friend of yours or a family member and they've got three masks on and they've taken 57 jabs and

00:13:28.300 they tell you they've done everything Dr. Fauci told them to do and then they're still getting

00:13:32.440 the virus and they're still transmitting it and they can't make sense of it and they don't

00:13:35.700 understand it, but they just keep doing what Fauci tells them to do. It seems as though a man with a

00:13:40.980 long pocket watch must have hypnotized them. And that is what Dr. Robert Malone, who is one of the

00:13:46.940 pioneers of the mRNA vaccines, though he's now become a big skeptic of the COVID response

00:13:52.220 and of those vaccines. He went on Joe Rogan's show and he said, we are living in a sort of mass

00:13:57.900 psychosis. What the heck happened in Germany in the 20s and 30s? You know, very intelligent,

00:14:04.160 highly educated population, and they went barking mad. And how did that happen?

00:14:09.100 Um, the answer is mass formation psychosis. When you have a society that has become decoupled from

00:14:17.440 each other and has free floating anxiety in a sense that things don't make sense, we can't

00:14:24.100 understand it. And then their attention gets focused by a leader or a series of events on one small point,

00:14:30.640 just like hypnosis. They literally become hypnotized and can be led anywhere. And one of the aspects of

00:14:38.420 that phenomena is the people that they identify as their leaders, the ones typically that come in

00:14:43.500 and say, you have this pain, and I can solve it for you. I and I alone, okay, can fix this problem

00:14:49.640 for you. Okay, then they will lead, they will follow that person through. It doesn't matter whether

00:14:54.640 they lie to them or whatever. The data are irrelevant. And furthermore, anybody who questions

00:15:00.700 that narrative is to be immediately attacked. They are the other.

00:15:04.340 So, what Robert Malone is describing here is he's saying it seems like people have gone crazy.

00:15:10.040 It seems like the people who are still following the rulers and the leaders who have gotten

00:15:16.300 everything wrong, the fact that they're still following them seems crazy. And the fact that they're

00:15:20.380 wearing all these masks and taking all these jabs and cowering in fear from the cough really seems

00:15:24.780 kind of crazy, doesn't it? When he uses this phrase mass formation psychosis, it's just a

00:15:31.220 strange, unusual way of saying it seems like our whole society has gone nuts.

00:15:36.940 And we're all under the spell of a ruling class that peddles its propaganda constantly.

00:15:44.980 So, in response to this, the ruling class and their propagandists issued a fact check.

00:15:50.240 And they said, Reuters, Reuters, fact check. There is no evidence to suggest a mass formation

00:15:56.500 psychosis has occurred during the pandemic, experts told Reuters. Oh, yeah, that's going to convince me

00:16:03.040 that that didn't happen. Yeah, the fact that the hypnotists are denying it. Yeah, that'll totally

00:16:08.020 convince me. Do what you're getting very, very sleepy. Yeah, you're getting sleepy, sheep,

00:16:16.780 and you need to give me all of your rights and your way of life. Hey, I think that guy's hypnotizing

00:16:22.100 us. No, no, I'm not. Dr. Fauci is totally not hypnotizing you. Pay no attention to the man

00:16:30.880 behind the curtain. That's not whether it's true or not. That is not going to be persuasive

00:16:36.280 when the people that you accuse of doing something wrong deny it and don't provide any evidence

00:16:42.940 as to how they're not doing that. It does seem to me that the people who have led us,

00:16:48.780 who have been exposed repeatedly as not knowing what they're talking about or deceiving us,

00:16:58.080 that maybe they're doing something wrong. And maybe that the fact that we continue to follow them

00:17:05.420 is a sign that we're not totally in our right minds. Fact checks are the cheapest form of propaganda

00:17:12.820 out there. Because what a fact check is, it was this phenomenon that really only became popular

00:17:19.140 maybe 10 or so years ago. It was a way for left-wing news outlets to turn left-wing opinion columns

00:17:26.440 into an unassailable news story. So many of these fact checks are simply presenting a left-wing

00:17:38.020 perspective on certain facts, but they say this is a fact. You have five Pinocchios. This is a fact,

00:17:43.640 mostly true, mostly false, pants on fire. And because it's a fact, you're not permitted to disagree

00:17:49.240 with it. The right-wing opinion here is that people have lost their minds, that people have

00:17:53.560 gone crazy by following Dr. Fauci, that it's not rational to follow Dr. Fauci. And then the left

00:17:59.060 comes out and they say, no, it is rational. Fact check. Seven Pinocchios. So I'll give you an example

00:18:04.880 of a really egregious fact check. Reuters again came out and they are focusing on vaccine adverse

00:18:11.940 events, the side effects, the vaccine injuries, of which there are many.

00:18:17.660 Since 1990, the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, VAERS, has provided data on any

00:18:23.760 adverse reactions that have been reported following a vaccination. Anyone can submit a report, which gives

00:18:29.940 the system transparency, but is also a limitation. You see, what the fact check is, though you might

00:18:37.020 be seeing a lot of events reported in VAERS, the vaccine injury system, you got to remember,

00:18:43.200 these aren't verified vaccine injuries, okay? Anyone can submit a report. So there's a lot of

00:18:48.700 problems here. You probably shouldn't believe all those vaccine injuries you see in VAERS, okay?

00:18:53.080 So from that quote unquote fact check, you would infer that vaccine injuries are over-reported

00:19:01.480 in the vaccine adverse event reporting system, right? They're saying it's not verified. So

00:19:06.720 presumably a lot of these are just not real. Ignore them. Forget about it. Except that not only are

00:19:14.600 vaccine injuries not over-reported in VAERS, they're significantly under-reported. They're

00:19:19.760 under-reported by 99% actually. There's a 2010 HHS review that came out of the VAERS system,

00:19:28.380 the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, showed, quote, adverse events from drugs and vaccines are

00:19:34.160 common but under-reported. Although 25% of ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event,

00:19:39.800 less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events, and 1 to 13% of serious events are reported to the FDA,

00:19:45.100 likewise, here's the money line, likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported.

00:19:53.160 This is from the Department of Health and Human Services. You can get this on the government

00:19:56.220 website right now. Less than 1%. So if you just read the fact check, you would conclude the opposite

00:20:07.400 of the facts. The fact is that there are a lot of vaccine injuries and they are drastically

00:20:13.840 under-reported. Almost none of them are reported relative to the total number of vaccine injuries.

00:20:21.000 But wait a second. I thought we were told by the propagandists that vaccine injuries

00:20:24.620 either never happen or barely ever happen or look the other way or don't look at the man behind the

00:20:31.000 curtain. Incredibly dishonest stuff. You're not just getting it out of Reuters and the propagandists,

00:20:37.660 you're getting it from the Supreme Court. Sonia Sotomayor, the self-styled wise Latina woman 1.00

00:20:44.220 on the Supreme Court, that's how she pitched herself to join the court. She was hearing oral arguments over 0.92

00:20:51.140 the Biden administration's vaccine mandate. And she pulled a fact of COVID hospitalizations

00:21:00.900 out of thin air. We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on

00:21:09.000 ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we've never had before, in serious condition,

00:21:16.240 and many on ventilators. 100,000 children in very serious condition hospitalized. Many of that

00:21:24.980 100,000 on ventilators. That's just completely made up. There are right now, and this is the most

00:21:33.680 wild, outlandish, generous liberal estimate. There were fewer than 3,500 pediatric hospitalizations

00:21:41.920 from COVID. How many of those are really serious? Totally unclear, because a lot of people are pretty

00:21:48.000 trigger happy now. If they get the cough, they'll run to the hospital. Fewer than 3,500 hospitalizations.

00:21:54.100 Very different than 100,000. I'm beginning to conclude that Justice Sotomayor may not be the

00:22:01.580 wisest Latina woman out there. I'm beginning to, but she went to very fancy schools. I think she went to 1.00

00:22:07.840 Yale Law School. She's on the Supreme Court, and she seems to believe this stuff. If a United States

00:22:15.820 Supreme Court justice believes a completely outlandish delusion about the scope of the

00:22:25.600 coronavirus epidemic, I suspect a lot of other people do too. I suspect that the fantasy

00:22:33.680 is driving our discourse much more than the facts. And I suspect that we are living our lives and

00:22:42.720 ordering our society and making our laws and rules much more based on fantasy than on fact.

00:22:50.300 I think if people knew the facts about the risk to children, we would have reopened the schools

00:22:58.540 much, much sooner. I think if people knew the facts about the COVID risk to relatively young,

00:23:05.960 relatively healthy people, we would have gone back to work a long, long time ago.

00:23:10.160 I just had COVID. I just recovered about a week ago. It wasn't pleasant, but it's fine. My whole

00:23:14.060 family had. It wasn't pleasant. It's fine. People get sick. That's what happens. I think if women knew 1.00

00:23:19.940 the facts about the now accepted reality that the vaccines can alter a woman's menstrual cycle,

00:23:28.580 at least somewhat, then maybe they would be more reluctant to get it, or they would have some

00:23:34.460 justification for refusing to get it. If people knew the facts about the moral compromise involved

00:23:39.460 in creating the vaccines, if people knew the risk, if people knew the realities here, and if people knew

00:23:45.420 that the public health experts, quote unquote, and the officials and their propagandists in the media,

00:23:51.100 if they knew that they were freaking lying to us and just getting stuff wrong constantly from the very

00:23:58.120 beginning, they might look on this biomedical terror regime with a little more skepticism.

00:24:07.260 But the liberal establishment has done basically a pretty good job at controlling the narrative.

00:24:15.660 With fact check after fact check after fact check that if you contradict it, you could be ostracized,

00:24:21.420 censored, kicked out of society, and no one will hear from you again.

00:24:25.420 Did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold in U.S. grocery stores is imported?

00:25:02.760 You know, when everyone else was kneeling, some men had the courage to stand alone.

00:25:08.540 One of those men is NBA star Jonathan Isaac, who, despite facing heavy criticism from the media for his views on social issues and vaccines over the past few years, still stood strong.

00:25:18.360 Which is why I'm extraordinarily excited to announce that he has decided to write a book with The Daily Wire called Why I Stand.

00:25:24.420 Jonathan's book will be about the rise of his basketball career, his journey into faith, and his strength to stand alone in the face of immense pressure.

00:25:31.600 Check out this teaser.

00:25:33.160 The Orlando Magic's 23-year-old starting forward is deeply religious and proudly unvaccinated.

00:25:38.200 On Friday, Isaac got attention for choosing not to kneel in unison with his teammates or to wear a Black Lives Matter shirt.

00:25:45.740 My name is Jonathan Isaac.

00:25:47.060 I play for the Orlando Magic.

00:25:49.060 And I'm writing a book with The Daily Wire.

00:25:50.740 Courage does not mean the absence of fear.

00:25:57.340 And in today's day, there are so many things that you can be afraid of facing because of believing what you believe or deciding to stand for what you believe in.

00:26:05.520 And I believe this book gives you a blueprint of my story of how Christ has made the difference in my life.

00:26:10.780 From a young kid who struggled with fear, anxiety, self-insecurity, to a man willing to stand for what he believes in.

00:26:20.740 I can't wait.

00:26:29.580 It looks terrific.

00:26:31.100 Jonathan is a great guy, and I love that he had the guts to stand firm.

00:26:34.540 So his book will be one of the first under Daily Wire's new publishing arm, DW Books.

00:26:38.160 We could not be happier to have him on board.

00:26:40.260 The book is available for pre-order now at Amazon, so reserve your copy today.

00:26:43.660 We will be right back with a lot more.

00:26:45.220 If you believe what Justice Sonia Sotomayor said during oral arguments on the vaccine mandate case,

00:27:04.280 if you believe that there are 100,000 kids right now on death's door in the hospital from COVID,

00:27:09.080 you would probably be pretty freaked out.

00:27:11.100 The fact that there aren't, that she completely made that up, is beside the point.

00:27:16.300 If that were true, you would probably be pretty scared.

00:27:20.780 Which brings up the craziest tweet thread I think I've ever read.

00:27:26.260 This was a tweet thread from Bob Wachter.

00:27:30.800 Bob Wachter has a 28-year-old son who got COVID.

00:27:38.220 He writes, quote,

00:27:40.300 I've been tweeting about COVID for nearly two years,

00:27:42.400 but this week it became personal when my 28-year-old younger son got it.

00:27:46.860 With his permission, I'll describe his experience and how I approached the situation,

00:27:50.000 given the realities of life and the rapidly changing evidence.

00:27:53.020 My son, who lives in San Francisco, is generally healthy but overweight,

00:27:56.580 placing him in a moderately high-risk group.

00:27:58.400 Real nice, too, to call your son fat in public. 0.77

00:28:01.140 Whatever.

00:28:02.240 He's been quite careful since March 2020 and has received three Modernas.

00:28:06.420 He used to wear a two-ply cloth mask.

00:28:08.360 Since Ami, I guess that's the nickname for Omicron,

00:28:11.240 he switched to a KN95 with my encouragement, in quotes.

00:28:15.840 He works in downtown San Francisco in customer service,

00:28:18.320 so he has a lot of people contact.

00:28:20.840 I've worried that he'd get it from work or from the bus,

00:28:23.200 but that's not how it happened.

00:28:24.180 Instead, one of the few friends he sometimes sees in person,

00:28:26.400 another fully vaxxed young person who has also been quite careful,

00:28:29.420 came over Monday night to watch a movie.

00:28:31.060 She felt fine, as did he.

00:28:33.060 Wednesday a.m., 36 hours later, he woke up and felt awful.

00:28:36.140 Sore throat, dry cough, muscle aches, chills, no taste or smell, abnormalities.

00:28:39.800 I told him to stay home, drink fluids, and take Tylenol or Advil.

00:28:43.200 Local pharmacies were all out of rapid tests, but I had one stashed away.

00:28:46.640 He came outside.

00:28:47.520 I wore an N95, and we ran it with a nasal swab.

00:28:50.800 It was negative.

00:28:51.320 I was a little reassured, though he was not.

00:28:54.720 Dad, it just feels like I felt after my vaccine, he said.

00:28:59.800 He seemed sick enough to be infectious.

00:29:01.520 I wondered if he'd be an example of the newly reported problems with false negative rapid tests

00:29:05.480 in the first days of an Omicron infection.

00:29:07.560 He called the UC San Francisco Hospital's COVID hotline.

00:29:11.140 He's a patient to get a PCR or a color PCR.

00:29:13.940 This is, we're now six tweets in.

00:29:17.000 We're six tweets in.

00:29:17.780 He talks about the test that he got, says, the next day I called him at 9 a.m., no answer.

00:29:22.940 My brain knows the odds of a fully vaxxed young person dying or near zero. 0.99

00:29:26.200 Still, I wondered briefly if he'd survived the night.

00:29:28.380 Survived the night because he had a cough.

00:29:30.160 Survived the night because he had the symptoms of a cold.

00:29:32.760 Goes on and on and on and on.

00:29:37.000 We now get to the 24th tweet in this thread.

00:29:42.360 Should he have watched movies with his friend?

00:29:43.900 I think so.

00:29:44.380 It seemed like a fairly safe encounter.

00:29:45.660 But while AMI is surging, even low-risk stuff, things that were safe last month may now be risky.

00:29:52.000 Given how quickly this storm may pass, it seems wise to hunker down a bit.

00:29:56.060 Just a few more years.

00:29:57.680 Just hunker down a few more years.

00:29:59.380 My son should be okay.

00:30:01.080 But the illness and the anxiety it causes are miserable.

00:30:03.540 Resigning ourselves to getting Omicron doesn't seem right, especially since the surge may be short-lived.

00:30:07.540 I still think it's an experience best avoided for you and your loved ones if you can.

00:30:10.320 So I got to the end.

00:30:11.200 I got to the end.

00:30:11.860 I read the whole thing.

00:30:13.200 I thought, oh, God, I hope his son doesn't die.

00:30:14.840 That must be.

00:30:15.440 That's the only reason you write a 25.

00:30:16.760 No, his son is just fine.

00:30:18.160 His son got the equivalent of a cold.

00:30:20.800 His 28-year-old son and is fine.

00:30:23.740 That's the point.

00:30:24.520 I could have done that in two sentences.

00:30:26.980 He did it in 25 tweets.

00:30:29.340 This is not just some random kook.

00:30:31.300 That wouldn't be news if it were some random kook, neurotic, writing this 25-tweet thread. 0.92

00:30:36.340 This man is the chairman of the medicine department at UC San Francisco.

00:30:43.520 This man is one of the experts.

00:30:46.080 He's one of the gurus leading us through this epidemic.

00:30:48.980 And he has clearly lost his marbles.

00:30:52.880 He is out of his mind.

00:30:55.660 Absolutely ravaged by fear and neurosis.

00:30:59.140 I am older than this man's son by a few years.

00:31:04.200 I have been smoking cigars since I was 15.

00:31:07.280 I have not exercised since the Obama administration.

00:31:10.620 When I got COVID, I didn't really tell anyone.

00:31:15.460 I think I took a couple Advil once.

00:31:17.720 I changed absolutely nothing about my behavior or life.

00:31:22.740 And now I feel just fine.

00:31:26.960 I hope that's reassuring.

00:31:28.200 Anyway, this man is saying that we shouldn't watch movies with our friends.

00:31:34.840 Just a few more years to slow the spread.

00:31:37.580 This is the evidence of the mass psychosis.

00:31:39.680 Remember when Reuters said there's no evidence of mass psychosis.

00:31:42.440 No evidence of hypnotism.

00:31:43.600 This is the evidence.

00:31:44.740 This is a psychosis.

00:31:47.480 We need to stop this.

00:31:48.560 So how do you stop it?

00:31:50.140 Because as anyone who's ever gotten into an argument with his wife can attest,

00:31:54.920 saying calm down is not an effective strategy to get someone to calm down, saying, well,

00:32:01.520 how do I stop being so nervous?

00:32:02.460 Well, just don't be nervous.

00:32:03.800 Well, easier said than done.

00:32:05.020 So how do you do it?

00:32:05.980 How do you get society to stop being so neurotic and terrified and on a hair trigger all the time?

00:32:12.340 Now, this is going to sound a little unorthodox.

00:32:17.060 We need to stop testing for coronavirus.

00:32:20.200 We just need to stop testing.

00:32:22.520 We are all taking way too, well, not all.

00:32:25.940 I almost never take a test for coronavirus.

00:32:28.480 But only when I absolutely am forced to it, basically, at gunpoint will I do it.

00:32:33.240 But a lot of people are taking a lot of tests for the coronavirus.

00:32:36.220 Stop it.

00:32:36.740 You should stop doing it.

00:32:37.660 Is your home's title still in your name?

00:33:07.200 in your name.

00:33:07.960 The consensus view, as you heard from The Washington Post's Paul Cain on CNN, is that we just need

00:33:14.980 more tests in America.

00:33:16.160 He's actually criticizing Joe Biden because Biden is not sending out enough tests.

00:33:19.920 Which is it right now that is the biggest problem, given the Omicron surge and what we're looking

00:33:26.280 at right now?

00:33:28.060 It's the worst kind of problem.

00:33:29.860 They have a policy problem and a messaging problem.

00:33:33.260 The policy side is they went with a vaccine-only approach, practically.

00:33:40.360 Not entirely, but very close.

00:33:42.340 They thought they could vaccinate their way out of this problem.

00:33:45.500 Phil, how many times in 2020, when you were back up on the Hill, how many times did Nancy

00:33:50.640 Pelosi start press conferences by saying, testing, testing, testing?

00:33:55.280 Every single time.

00:33:57.060 Every single time she said, testing, testing, testing.

00:34:00.200 And this administration, with all the money in the world from the bipartisan deals of 2020

00:34:06.500 and the unilateral Democratic $1.9 trillion bill in March, they had all the money in the

00:34:13.080 world for testing, and they just didn't focus on it.

00:34:17.060 And that was a huge mistake.

00:34:18.960 It's a huge mistake.

00:34:20.180 They were always going to need testing to get out of the school issue.

00:34:23.740 And now the messaging, in terms of what comes out of the CDC, is just as confusing as it ever was.

00:34:31.040 Why do we need more testing?

00:34:32.740 Why did we always need more testing to get out of the school issue?

00:34:35.500 Here's how I would get out of the school issue.

00:34:37.760 Go back to school.

00:34:39.620 I, governor of whatever state, I, president of the United States, I, mayor of Palookaville,

00:34:47.140 I say, go back to school, shut up teacher unions, go back to school, you'll be fine.

00:34:54.160 People have gone to school during flus, during colds, during epidemics.

00:34:59.560 It's fine. 0.98

00:35:00.520 Just go back to school and shut your mouths. 0.99

00:35:03.160 That's how you do it. 0.99

00:35:04.060 But no, you need the testing.

00:35:06.300 Why do you need the testing?

00:35:08.720 On the contrary, testing will not allow us to get back to normal.

00:35:11.920 It will stop us from ever getting back to normal.

00:35:13.760 Because when you test, when you test everyone in the country all the time for a mild illness, you're going to get some positive results.

00:35:24.160 And when everyone is constantly on a hair trigger about locking down and, and, and, and terrified, deathly terrified of this virus, then every time you get a positive test, you're going to shut down the schools again.

00:35:37.060 This is what's happening for my friends and relatives.

00:35:39.720 They send their kids to these schools or preschools and then one kid tests positive and they shut this place down for a week.

00:35:45.960 But if you test everyone all the time for an extraordinarily contagious virus that isn't really that dangerous to the vast, vast, vast majority of people, you're always going to get a positive test and you're always going to lock down.

00:36:00.040 The reason that the liberal establishment is now clamoring for more tests is because they don't want the epidemic to go away.

00:36:08.140 They always want these emergency powers.

00:36:11.020 They always want to be able to rule you with whim and caprice and they never want you to question what they're saying, even when what they're saying is contradicting what they said the day before.

00:36:20.060 This is a power play.

00:36:21.340 This has been a power play from day one.

00:36:23.460 They've done everything they can in terms of the vaccines.

00:36:26.600 They've done everything that they said was going to work in terms of locking down and making everyone wear masks and that didn't really work.

00:36:32.720 They haven't done everything they can in terms of getting therapeutics out there.

00:36:36.060 They've actually suppressed a number of therapeutics that would have helped some people to recover from the virus more quickly.

00:36:43.980 They have said, no, forget about that because they've taken, as that Washington Post correspondent says, a vaccine only approach and they didn't want therapeutics to get into the way of the narrative that everyone needs to take the vaccine.

00:36:53.180 So that was one big mistake.

00:36:55.320 But they've done what they are going to do.

00:36:58.260 And just testing everyone and freaking everyone out all the time over what is effectively, for the vast majority of people, a mild cold is only going to prolong this.

00:37:08.340 Do you know who gets this?

00:37:10.060 Maybe one man in America who is in elected office gets this.

00:37:14.120 That would be Ron DeSantis down in Florida who says we've got to stop the testing.

00:37:19.900 Now, think about it.

00:37:21.440 Before COVID, did anyone go out and seek testing to determine if they were sick?

00:37:26.680 It's usually you feel like you're sick and then you get tested to determine what you may be have come down with.

00:37:33.720 And so this is kind of a new thing where they've been saying just go out and test all the time.

00:37:38.540 And again, you're free to do it.

00:37:40.760 But I think what the DOH guidance from Florida is saying is that is unlikely to yield very much clinical value for you.

00:37:48.840 And it also creates a lot of second-order follow-up problems.

00:37:53.660 It's essentially a lockdown by stealth in the sense of if you test positive but you're not sick or have symptoms, you may have to isolate.

00:38:02.060 They don't even know.

00:38:02.900 The test can't tell you if you're even infectious or not.

00:38:05.400 And these PCR tests, you can test positive for weeks after you've been infected, months even in some cases.

00:38:12.460 And so what happens is blanket testing of healthy people, it leads to some kids being not in school.

00:38:19.300 It leads to people not being able to go to work and doing some of these isolation, which may not even be justified.

00:38:26.540 Absolutely right.

00:38:28.100 100%.

00:38:28.540 This guy gets it.

00:38:30.460 This guy gets it.

00:38:31.380 All that more testing is going to lead to is more lockdowns.

00:38:35.400 When did we start taking tests to find out if we were going to get sick? 1.00

00:38:42.320 Now, what the libs are saying in response is, you idiot, Ron DeSantis, what about cancer screenings? 1.00

00:38:47.800 Because Ron DeSantis' wife is struggling with cancer and she's fighting against cancer right now. 1.00

00:38:52.640 They're saying, you idiot, you rube, you don't even know that people get cancer screenings to make sure that they aren't sick. 1.00

00:39:01.600 That's true. 1.00

00:39:02.220 For certain very, very deadly illnesses, we will, every year or two years or five years or ten years, get certain tests done to make sure that everything's looking good.

00:39:16.840 Because in some cases, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

00:39:19.840 However, we don't do that for the flu.

00:39:24.300 We don't do that for the common cold.

00:39:26.560 We shouldn't do that for COVID, which let's say is stronger and more dangerous than the flu to some degree.

00:39:34.260 I don't think we would do that for double flu, super flu, super duper mecca cold.

00:39:39.460 We wouldn't do that sort of thing.

00:39:42.820 You wait until you get sick.

00:39:44.380 If there were 100,000 kids right now dying on ventilators in hospitals from COVID, that would be a different story.

00:39:49.560 If the narrative we were told about COVID by the public health experts were true, that might be a different story.

00:39:54.640 But it's not.

00:39:55.360 It's been proven wrong time and time again.

00:39:56.840 And so when you look at what the facts actually are, you should calibrate your policy to the facts.

00:40:03.380 And that's very inconvenient for the liberal establishment, which is trying to use this cough to completely reorder society.

00:40:11.260 And to a large degree has succeeded at doing that.

00:40:14.180 Speaking of reordering society, I'm sure everyone was glued to their screens this weekend.

00:40:20.400 Watching the sports event of the year, the hotly contested women's Ivy League 100-meter race.

00:40:28.180 Right?

00:40:28.380 Of course, we watch that.

00:40:30.440 We set our alarms.

00:40:31.680 We say, how?

00:40:32.480 And this is very important now, especially because it's a matter of social justice.

00:40:36.580 Because now in women's college sports, men are competing.

00:40:40.460 Men who say that they're women so that they can set new records and break new ground for men taking stuff from women.

00:40:46.940 Okay.

00:40:47.140 The headline from the Women's Ivy League 100-meter race is that the Yale transgender swimmer beat the pen transgender swimmer in the women's competition.

00:41:07.100 Bula, bola.

00:41:09.500 Hooray for justice.

00:41:11.020 Now, when most people read this, they assumed it was a dude who's pretending to be a woman beat another dude who's pretending to be a woman at the women's sport.

00:41:20.920 And this just shows you how awful it is and transgenderism is destroying women's sports. 1.00

00:41:24.920 But there's a twist to this story, which is that the Yale transgender swimmer is a woman who wants to become a man.

00:41:33.880 But she allegedly hasn't started taking hormones or chemicals yet, so she's still allowed to compete on the women's team. 0.99

00:41:40.600 And the pen transgender swimmer is a man who is pretending to be a woman. 0.97

00:41:46.360 But he is obviously physically much bigger and stronger than all the other women, so he keeps winning all the races. 1.00

00:41:50.620 But he lost to the girl who's pretending to be a man.

00:41:54.140 This actually throws a wrench into the transgenderism narrative of a lot of people on the right.

00:42:01.420 But it doesn't throw a wrench into my theory on transgenderism.

00:42:05.240 I can't believe it.

00:42:06.160 We talked about this, I think, on the very last episode of the show on Friday, Thursday or Friday of last week.

00:42:11.280 I mentioned that, and I've said this before as well, that it's a mistake for conservatives to stake their argument against transgenderism on fairness in women's sports or some other disingenuous point that no one really cares about.

00:42:29.580 I don't really care who gets the medal at the women's track meet.

00:42:34.180 That's not what's wrong with transgenderism is not that it takes some accolades away from 11th grade girls.

00:42:42.620 What's wrong with transgenderism is that it contradicts reality. 1.00

00:42:48.840 If you stake your argument against transgenderism on women not being able to compete in women's sports anymore,

00:42:57.700 then this story about the Yale trans swimmer beating the pen trans swimmer completely destroys your argument.

00:43:05.240 Because in this case, the woman beat the man. 1.00

00:43:08.240 And, you know, that's going to happen sometimes.

00:43:09.940 I don't really know the details here.

00:43:11.520 It's being reported that the woman is not on any steroids.

00:43:14.740 It's being reported that the man tried his hardest and he didn't throw the race.

00:43:19.140 And I don't know.

00:43:19.740 But maybe, maybe one in a million, the woman beats the man. 1.00

00:43:23.600 It could be the case.

00:43:24.300 So then that's not a big deal.

00:43:26.940 Okay, good.

00:43:27.300 That's fine.

00:43:28.180 Then the men, then the men can compete in women's sports and the women have a fighting chance. 0.85

00:43:33.200 If fairness in women's sports is the standard, conservatives just lost. 0.58

00:43:36.300 If reality is the standard, conservatives still have an argument. 0.99

00:43:42.860 When we stake our arguments on statistics, we're going to lose because there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. 0.99

00:43:52.700 Ron DeSantis was talking about this too. 0.98

00:43:54.460 If you're staking your argument as to why we shouldn't completely reorder society.

00:43:59.640 And take away all of people's rights and close all the churches and shut down business and have a massive transfer of wealth.

00:44:05.520 If you're basing that on testing statistics or even hospitalization statistics, you're going to lose because everyone's got their own statistics.

00:44:19.000 If you base it on justice, you're going to have a much better argument. 0.98

00:44:23.380 It is unjust to take away all people's rights and give it all to Dr. Fauci, the schmuck who lies out of both sides of his mouth every single day. 0.99

00:44:30.760 That would be unjust regardless of the statistics. 0.98

00:44:34.520 Then you've got a stronger argument.

00:44:35.680 It's unjust.

00:44:37.140 It's just simply wrong for men to pretend to be women in our society. 0.51

00:44:44.900 It's just not right.

00:44:46.860 They're not women. 1.00

00:44:48.080 And we shouldn't indulge delusion.

00:44:50.260 And the truth will set you free. 0.52

00:44:52.000 If you make that argument, then transgenderism is still preposterous. 1.00

00:44:56.020 But if you try to make the squishy, we're all individuals, kind of libertarian, you do you, I'll do me, but don't infringe on my right to win the trophy.

00:45:05.340 If you make that argument, you're not going to win.

00:45:09.200 The Yale trans swimmer just destroyed your argument. 0.98

00:45:12.700 Speaking of weird sex stuff, Britney Spears is celebrating her release from her conservatorship, the hashtag free Britney campaign, 0.88

00:45:23.760 by tweeting out a fully nude photo of herself, or I suppose posting it to Instagram.

00:45:30.260 The caption reads, quote, free woman energy has never felt better.

00:45:36.980 And I'm beginning to think maybe this free Britney campaign was not such a great idea after all.

00:45:42.380 12-year-old Michael, I'm sure, is furious right now with 31-year-old Michael for complaining about a naked photo of Britney Spears.

00:45:53.520 That's probably true.

00:45:55.300 But I have to complain about it because this is not a great idea.

00:46:02.100 It actually does undermine the free Britney argument because this is pretty strange, wacky, self-destructive behavior.

00:46:09.300 Now, Britney Spears is a pop star, and pop stars do these sorts of things, so it's not completely out of the ordinary.

00:46:15.220 But the purpose of a conservatorship is to put some constraints on people's autonomy and individual choices because they are not capable of handling their freedom, right?

00:46:25.100 And maybe it's because you've got some mental problem.

00:46:27.020 Maybe it's because you've got a drug problem.

00:46:28.440 But the idea behind a conservatorship is not to take away your freedom, but actually to protect your freedom from your own basest desires and your own basest inclinations, which will destroy your freedom.

00:46:41.320 It gets down to this argument that we're having on the right right now about what freedom really is.

00:46:45.460 And the libertarians are saying that, I'm painting with something of a broad brush, but generally, the libertarians are saying freedom is the ability to do whatever you want whenever you want to do it.

00:46:56.800 If I want to do drugs and sleep around and have all sorts of self-destructive behaviors, that's my freedom.

00:47:03.240 And the conservatives are saying, no, freedom isn't the ability to just do whatever you want whenever you want to do it.

00:47:09.520 Freedom is the right to do what you ought to do.

00:47:12.720 So for the libertarian point of view, the modern liberal point of view, freedom is the heroin addict shooting up heroin.

00:47:19.300 But the conservative knows that the heroin addict is not free.

00:47:21.660 He's actually a slave to his own basest desires.

00:47:24.060 If a society treats its freedom as an excuse to just get naked and dance around and do a bunch of drugs and sleep around and abuse liberty to licentiousness, in the words of our founding fathers, then we're not going to stay free for very long.

00:47:45.920 That kind of people is not capable of freedom.

00:47:49.180 And so some guardrails are going to have to be put on their individual choice.

00:47:52.680 And that's what you're seeing happen in your government.

00:47:55.080 I don't really care that much about the Britney Spears story in and of itself, but I care about the political significance of it.

00:48:01.420 What we have done as a people in recent decades is strip naked and post a bunch of pictures of ourself on Instagram.

00:48:11.440 Literally in many cases, but figuratively as well.

00:48:15.600 We have abused our freedom to licentiousness.

00:48:18.720 We have proven ourselves incapable of freedom in many instances.

00:48:21.900 We can't even really conduct elections anymore.

00:48:25.080 No one trusts the result of our national elections anymore.

00:48:27.800 Democrats didn't trust 2016.

00:48:29.260 Republicans don't trust 2020.

00:48:30.780 Democrats don't trust 2000.

00:48:33.660 We can't.

00:48:34.660 We've torched our cities over the past year.

00:48:38.740 And by we, I mean leftists have torched the cities over the past year.

00:48:42.580 We don't.

00:48:42.960 We don't.

00:48:43.480 We can't defend our national borders.

00:48:45.460 We can't educate ourselves.

00:48:46.740 And so what's going to happen inevitably is someone is going to impose order from without.

00:48:53.560 If we are not capable of freedom, then someone else is going to impose order from outside.

00:49:00.080 That's the way it goes here.

00:49:03.040 Before we go, I need to get to one point from Justice Neil Gorsuch, because this is to talk about fake news going around about COVID.

00:49:12.380 Justice Gorsuch, it was hearing the oral arguments in the case over the Biden vaccine mandate.

00:49:20.560 Gorsuch said that every year a lot of people die from the flu.

00:49:24.160 This was misreported as Gorsuch saying that every year hundreds of thousands of people die from the flu.

00:49:29.460 Flu kills, I believe, hundreds of thousands of people every year.

00:49:33.740 So this was reported as him saying flu kills hundreds of thousands of people a year.

00:49:36.840 But what you heard right there, it was a transcription error.

00:49:39.320 What he said was it kills hundreds, thousands of people a year.

00:49:42.500 Now, that's true in the United States.

00:49:45.400 In the United States, flu kills tens of thousands of people a year.

00:49:47.860 And there were all the fact checkers saying Gorsuch got this wrong.

00:49:49.900 It's actually only tens of thousands of people.

00:49:51.200 But worldwide, flu does kill hundreds of thousands of people every year.

00:49:54.440 And it's a lesson for all of us, okay?

00:49:57.700 He didn't say that.

00:49:59.280 But if you look at flu worldwide, even the thing that the fact checkers were debunking actually is true.

00:50:07.000 And it puts a lot in perspective here, folks.

00:50:09.340 We used to live with illness.

00:50:10.880 We used to live with risk.

00:50:12.280 We used to live with some degree of personal responsibility.

00:50:15.640 And now we're not willing to do that.

00:50:17.160 We're all cowering in the corner and writing 25 tweet threads about how scared we are of getting the cough.

00:50:22.840 That kind of a people is not going to be capable of freedom and the way of life that we once cherished.

00:50:28.580 So which is it?

00:50:29.520 Which way, American man? 0.53
