00:00:27.260 It has come to my attention that I forgot to acknowledge a very important holiday yesterday.
00:00:33.320 It is a holiday that commemorates the life of one of the most important and admired Americans ever to live,
00:00:40.820 a man who helped to transform our country into the place that we live in today.
00:00:46.460 I'm speaking, of course, about George Floyd,
00:00:49.680 who Joe Biden believes left a far more important impact on our nation
00:00:55.060 than other lesser figures such as, I don't know, Martin Luther King.
00:01:00.480 But even Dr. King's assassination did not have the worldwide impact
00:01:05.120 that George Floyd's death did.
00:01:09.180 Joe Biden commemorated the life of Martin Luther King
00:01:12.400 by discussing how much less he meant to the world
00:01:16.480 than did an unrepentant, violent career criminal
00:01:20.140 who died resisting arrest while high on a fatal dose of drugs.
00:01:24.840 And the saddest part is, he's probably right.
00:01:28.620 Martin Luther King may have had a dream, but Joe Biden has a nightmare.
00:01:32.780 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:01:33.620 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:34.520 Welcome back to the show.
00:01:44.020 My favorite comment yesterday is from Tim Skrobot
00:01:46.920 talking about that hostage attack in the synagogue in Texas
00:01:52.760 where the Muslim terrorist held the Jews captive.
00:01:55.440 He says, you'd think the FBI would understand a terror plot better
00:01:58.680 considering how many they helped to facilitate.
00:02:01.460 Hey, that's not fair.
00:02:02.820 They just can't comment on that.
00:02:04.820 You shouldn't say the FBI facilitated any attacks.
00:02:08.960 They just, they can't comment one way or the other, okay?
00:02:12.360 And that's their story and they're sticking to it
00:02:14.540 even before committees of the United States Senate.
00:02:17.800 That's unfortunate.
00:02:19.160 You know, it's sad when we live in a country
00:02:20.960 where we can't trust our government,
00:02:23.800 where we can't trust our rulers,
00:02:25.320 where we can't even trust the media
00:02:27.440 or any other aspects of the ruling class
00:02:30.480 to tell us what's true and false and right and wrong.
00:02:33.200 There is one little upside to living in America right now.
00:02:36.060 That is that you can get 25 cents back for every gallon of gas on your fill up
00:02:40.540 if you use GetUpside.
00:02:42.280 Are you spending too much money on gas?
00:02:44.520 Yes, you are.
00:02:45.440 I know that you are.
00:02:46.100 By definition you are,
00:02:47.460 if you have not yet downloaded the GetUpside app.
00:02:50.960 It is a free app that will allow you to make up to 25 cents cash back
00:02:56.120 for every gallon of gas every time you fill up.
00:02:59.220 Very simple.
00:02:59.860 You go to your app store,
00:03:00.700 you download the free app,
00:03:01.900 and then you use promo code NOLS.
00:03:04.380 Guess what happens then?
00:03:05.440 Not only will you get 25 cents cash back for every gallon you fill up,
00:03:09.540 you'll get another 25 cents cash back for every gallon you fill up on your first tank.
00:03:15.440 50 cents per gallon cash back on your first tank
00:03:18.920 when you use GetUpside and promo code NOLS.
00:03:21.380 Some people who drive a lot are making as much as $200 to $300 a year in cash back.
00:03:27.180 That's a lot of money.
00:03:28.260 No catch.
00:03:29.020 Only cash back gets added right to your bank account
00:03:31.100 or if you prefer PayPal or an e-gift card for Amazon and other brands.
00:03:35.000 Head on over right now.
00:03:36.740 Download the free GetUpside app and use promo code NOLS,
00:03:39.740 K-N-W-L-E-S,
00:03:40.600 to get up to 50 cents per gallon cash back on your first tank with code NOLS.
00:03:45.780 Joe Biden says George Floyd left a greater impact on America than Martin Luther King.
00:03:53.000 That's probably true.
00:03:54.780 That's probably true, right?
00:03:55.980 I know that conservatives are dunking on Joe Biden right now and attacking him
00:04:00.800 and how offensive is this and how terrible.
00:04:03.620 But Joe Biden didn't say that George Floyd was a better person than Martin Luther King.
00:04:09.040 He said that he left a greater impact on the world,
00:04:12.240 not even just America, but on the whole wide world.
00:04:14.520 And that might be true.
00:04:16.620 Martin Luther King did help to shape the world, transformed the world in many ways.
00:04:21.880 But George Floyd may have transformed the world much more.
00:04:27.720 And whereas the legacy of Martin Luther King is hotly debated and the leftists try to appropriate him
00:04:34.380 and the conservatives try to appropriate him and the Democrats try to appropriate him
00:04:37.580 and the Republicans try to appropriate him.
00:04:40.140 And the leftists point to the many things that Martin Luther King said that sounded sort of socialistic or sort of leftist.
00:04:47.360 And the conservatives point to the I have a dream speech in particular where you shouldn't judge people based on your race.
00:04:52.600 And regardless of exactly who can grab Martin Luther King's legacy,
00:04:59.820 they point to the I've been to the mountaintop speech,
00:05:03.580 this kind of very deep Christian religious rhetoric that he infused in his speeches.
00:05:08.120 Regardless, the BLM version of America seems to be winning right now.
00:05:13.340 But the BLM version of America, which says we most certainly should judge people on the basis of their race.
00:05:19.840 We should give black people and other non-white people special privileges.
00:05:25.940 We should tear down the statues of our founding America as a white supremacist, terrible, evil country, hopelessly bigoted.
00:05:33.000 We've got to tear the whole thing down, the economic system, the political system,
00:05:36.600 and we've got to create a whole brand new country.
00:05:40.040 That's very different than the Martin Luther King vision.
00:05:41.920 The Martin Luther King vision is America might have problems,
00:05:44.740 but the problems are only so clear because we know the idea of America is so wonderful,
00:05:50.900 and America is not living up to her ideals,
00:05:52.680 and we need to fulfill the promise of the founding fathers and George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
00:05:57.960 And that vision is completely at odds.
00:05:59.760 Regardless of the left or the right trying to grab Martin Luther King's legacy,
00:06:03.600 I think we all have to acknowledge that the BLM version of American history is completely at odds
00:06:09.120 with the Martin Luther King version and the BLM version is winning right now.
00:06:13.200 So Biden was probably right when he said that George Floyd had a greater impact on the world.
00:06:17.440 That's unfortunate, but probably the case.
00:06:19.540 Speaking of racial politics, Donald Trump is back on the campaign trail.
00:06:24.780 He held a rally on January 15th, and he leaned into a major racial issue that's going on right now,
00:06:32.440 namely, that white people are being discriminated against when it comes to treatment for COVID
00:06:38.860 in many states as a result of guidance issued by the national government, by the FDA.
00:06:44.620 Here's Donald Trump.
00:06:45.940 Just denigrating white people to determine who lives and who dies.
00:06:51.520 If you're white, you don't get the vaccine, or if you're white, you don't get therapeutics.
00:06:56.700 It's unbelievable to think this, and nobody wants this.
00:07:01.820 Black people don't want it.
00:07:03.740 White people don't want it.
00:07:05.700 Nobody wants it.
00:07:09.620 It's not even believable.
00:07:11.280 You saw this a week ago where it came out.
00:07:13.440 Nobody can even believe it.
00:07:14.640 They don't even talk about it, and they don't want to talk about it because they know it doesn't work very well for them.
00:07:20.660 But the Wall Street Journal described the practice race-based preferential COVID treatments, and that's what it is.
00:07:28.260 You get it based on race.
00:07:30.220 In fact, in New York State, if you're white, you have to go to the back of the line to get medical help.
00:07:36.060 Think of it.
00:07:36.560 If you're white, you go right to the back of the line.
00:07:39.460 This is really important for Donald Trump to point out because this is a grievous issue that's going on in and of itself,
00:07:48.560 and it's really smart politics.
00:07:50.160 So what the left is trying to do now is they're denying that what he said is true,
00:07:54.300 which is why Trump cites the Wall Street Journal.
00:07:56.620 Very credible, mainstream news source.
00:07:59.320 We covered it on this show two weeks ago.
00:08:02.180 You're seeing preferential treatment for non-white groups,
00:08:05.280 and you're seeing whites discriminated against in a number of states.
00:08:08.200 In part, this is because the FDA has said that there is a disparate impact.
00:08:15.680 There's a disproportionate negative effect of COVID.
00:08:20.160 On marginalized communities, and they define marginalized communities as non-white communities,
00:08:24.620 and so they get to go further up in the line than the white people do.
00:08:27.480 This is absolutely real.
00:08:28.680 It's really happening.
00:08:29.860 Credible, authoritative, mainstream news sources even are reporting on it.
00:08:34.240 So Trump is citing that.
00:08:35.240 He's saying, you can't fact check me on this.
00:08:36.820 And it's wrong.
00:08:39.320 It's a wrong thing to do.
00:08:41.860 And people of all races know that it's wrong.
00:08:44.340 So he's not just saying that this is white grievance,
00:08:47.480 and it's the white people versus the black people,
00:08:49.780 or versus the Hispanic people versus the Asian.
00:08:51.960 It's not.
00:08:52.540 All decent people of all races can agree that it is wrong to deny someone medical care on the basis of their race.
00:09:02.720 This is not a black and white.
00:09:04.600 It is a black and white issue in as much as it's very clear.
00:09:07.540 And all decent white, black, Asian, Hispanic people know that it's the wrong thing to do.
00:09:13.180 And I think this will play very well on the campaign trail.
00:09:17.260 But it's also, and this is the part that a lot of people are missing,
00:09:20.060 this is also a really smart move from Trump,
00:09:22.440 because it gets him out of his toughest political position right now.
00:09:26.420 Namely, that he owns the vaccine issue.
00:09:29.620 He developed the vaccines.
00:09:31.260 He has promoted the vaccines.
00:09:32.900 And a lot of his base doesn't really like the vaccines.
00:09:36.140 One, because the vaccines do not do all of the things that Joe Biden and Dr. Fauci
00:09:42.040 and Rochelle Walensky said that they would do.
00:09:44.820 Biden, Fauci, Walensky all said the vaccines would prevent infection and transmission of the virus.
00:09:51.060 And the vaccines don't do that.
00:09:54.000 So then they changed their story.
00:09:56.040 And they said, well, no, actually, the vaccines do not prevent transmission and infection,
00:10:00.900 but they do mitigate the symptoms.
00:10:02.360 And so they keep moving the goalposts and keep changing their stories.
00:10:04.660 And the base is highly skeptical of that.
00:10:06.640 And they have some moral objections to the vaccines.
00:10:08.320 And they obviously object to the vaccine mandates, which Trump has said he opposes.
00:10:11.120 But he's still got to own the vaccines.
00:10:12.260 So how is he going to get himself out of this predicament?
00:10:15.440 He can say that the left is trying to deny you medical care.
00:10:22.340 He's saying the left is trying to take this good thing away from you.
00:10:27.000 And so it just softens the vaccine issue.
00:10:28.960 It's a political masterstroke that very few people have picked up on.
00:10:32.020 But it's the first maneuver Trump has made on this vaccine COVID policy issue in months and months and months
00:10:39.140 that I think is actually going to move the ball in the right direction.
00:10:42.480 So what's the response from the left?
00:10:46.420 The left is calling him racist.
00:10:48.460 The left is denying that it's happening.
00:10:50.660 But everyone sees through that.
00:10:52.920 This is a really strong issue.
00:10:54.280 A lot of Republicans should campaign on this.
00:10:55.840 But there is still this issue of the vaccines.
00:10:58.420 Namely, they're not as effective as we were told they would be.
00:11:03.000 The latest story out of Israel.
00:11:04.600 Israeli trial.
00:11:06.120 The world's first.
00:11:07.800 Finds fourth dose.
00:11:09.680 Not good enough against Omicron.
00:11:12.460 It's from the Times of Israel.
00:11:14.660 Fourth dose.
00:11:15.440 So the first two shots, not quite as effective as the experts had hoped.
00:11:25.100 Then there was a third dose that was given out.
00:11:28.960 That was also, I guess, not quite as effective because you need a fourth dose.
00:11:32.240 Then they had the fourth dose.
00:11:33.600 So the fourth jab.
00:11:35.220 And that was not quite as effective as we were all told it was going to be.
00:11:39.780 But I bet they'll get it right on the fifth one.
00:11:42.660 Don't worry.
00:11:43.400 Don't know the good news.
00:11:44.620 The bright side is that the fifth one is expected to be more effective than any of them.
00:11:49.760 Oh, okay.
00:11:51.080 Cool.
00:11:51.960 Great.
00:11:52.740 This, talk about impossible political problems.
00:11:54.860 This is a really tricky political problem for the liberal establishment.
00:11:58.720 Because right now, the liberal establishment needs to sell a huge number of people on getting
00:12:05.140 the fourth and potentially fifth dose of this vaccine.
00:12:09.420 vaccine because the first three are not effective against the new strain of the virus.
00:12:14.300 But at the same time, they've got to convince a lot of other people who haven't had any shots
00:12:18.300 of the vaccine to get the first and second dose of the vaccine.
00:12:21.860 But why would people get the first and second dose if the people who got the first and second
00:12:25.320 dose now need to get a third and fourth and possibly fifth dose?
00:12:27.800 So you've got to convince different groups of people who are at various stages of vaccination
00:12:34.520 that the first and second dose were so ineffective that you now need to get three, four, five.
00:12:40.100 But also that the first and second doses are so effective that you'll die.
00:12:43.400 You're putting your whole community at risk if you don't get the first two.
00:12:46.920 The experts, the ruling class, speaking out of both sides of their mouths, contradicting
00:12:50.520 themselves, and I strongly suspect that the people are less and less fooled each day by
00:12:57.180 it.
00:12:58.120 Now, when you don't want to be fooled by high prices at the auto parts store, I would strongly
00:13:03.280 recommend you check out Rock Auto.
00:13:05.520 All right, I've got a hypothetical for you.
00:13:07.500 Let's say that you need a new fuel pump assembly for your car.
00:13:11.240 And I give you two choices.
00:13:12.640 A is the fuel pump assembly for X amount of money, and B is the fuel pump assembly for
00:13:22.640 30% more than X amount of money, or 50% more than X amount of money, or 100% more than X
00:13:31.440 amount of money than you're going to be paying for choice A. Which one do you buy?
00:13:37.020 This is not a trick question.
00:13:38.380 This is a very simple question.
00:13:39.520 You buy the cheaper one.
00:13:40.620 So why would you not be going to rockauto.com right now, where you can get any part you
00:13:45.280 want for your car or truck for the lowest price available?
00:13:49.180 You don't need to drive to the brick and mortar store.
00:13:51.760 You don't need to wait in line.
00:13:52.980 You don't need to wait for the guy to go into the back to look for the part that's probably
00:13:55.800 not in stock anyway, to come back out to say they're going to order it, to wait a week,
00:13:58.800 to pay more money.
00:14:00.040 Just go to rockauto.com.
00:14:02.040 Super easy to use catalog.
00:14:03.960 Reliably low prices.
00:14:05.220 Go to rockauto.com right now.
00:14:07.040 See all the parts available for your car or truck.
00:14:08.820 And then write Knowles in the How Did You Hear About Us box so they know that we sent you.
00:14:13.620 Speaking of our vaunted public health officials, did you know that Dr. Fauci is loaded?
00:14:21.540 I think a lot of people suspected that Dr. Fauci was pretty well off.
00:14:25.280 He's a very prominent, very powerful figure in our government.
00:14:27.960 But he has been a public servant his whole life.
00:14:30.920 He's worked at the NIH now for 40 years almost.
00:14:35.180 So, you know, he's a government worker.
00:14:36.860 He probably shouldn't.
00:14:37.580 That's not how you become a millionaire, right?
00:14:39.160 Working for the government.
00:14:40.000 You do it because you want to serve the public.
00:14:41.440 You do it because you want to follow the science if you're working at the NIH.
00:14:45.040 And you're a hardworking scholar.
00:14:48.200 But you don't go into that line of work to get rich.
00:14:51.660 But Dr. Fauci did get rich.
00:14:53.260 He was asked when he was testifying before Congress to disclose some of his, the details of his finances.
00:15:01.460 And Dr. Fauci got very, very defensive.
00:15:04.280 Yes or no, would you be willing to submit to Congress and the public a financial disclosure that includes your past and current investments?
00:15:12.620 After all, your colleague, Dr. Walensky, and every member of Congress submits a financial disclosure that includes their investments.
00:15:23.460 And Fauci just right away, he goes, he tries to, he's talking, he tries to remove that mask.
00:15:27.560 He realizes that he hasn't turned the microphone.
00:15:29.500 I don't understand why you're asking me that question.
00:15:31.500 My financial disclosure is public knowledge and has been so for the last 37 years or so, 35 years that I've been directed.
00:15:40.680 The big tech giants are doing an incredible job of keeping it from being public.
00:15:45.220 We'll continue to look for it.
00:15:47.060 Where would we find it?
00:15:48.560 All you have to do is ask for it.
00:15:51.540 You're so misinformed.
00:15:52.920 It's extraordinary.
00:15:53.580 Why am I misinformed?
00:15:55.360 It is totally accessible to you if you want it.
00:15:58.540 For the public.
00:15:59.160 Is it accessible to the public?
00:16:00.400 To the public.
00:16:00.900 To the public.
00:16:01.820 Right, we look forward to reviewing it.
00:16:03.140 You are totally incorrect.
00:16:04.900 Well, we look forward to reviewing it.
00:16:07.160 Getting a little defensive there, huh, Dr. Fauci?
00:16:10.980 He's asking you a simple question.
00:16:13.340 He's saying, have you disclosed your finances?
00:16:17.080 And if they're available, where can I find them?
00:16:20.780 You are totally incorrect.
00:16:23.040 Incorrect about what?
00:16:24.300 He didn't make any claims.
00:16:25.660 He just asked you a question.
00:16:27.240 Your question is incorrect.
00:16:30.220 How can a question be incorrect?
00:16:31.880 It's a simple question.
00:16:33.180 It's not a particularly aggressive or offensive question.
00:16:35.680 It's just, hey, where can I find your financial disclosures that you're telling me that you made?
00:16:40.600 You are so misinformed.
00:16:42.360 Yo, cool it with the insults, buddy.
00:16:44.500 Why are you getting so defensive?
00:16:47.400 Because Dr. Fauci is freaking loaded.
00:16:51.900 That's why.
00:16:53.100 So, very simple question.
00:16:55.300 Can we find your finances?
00:16:56.600 Fauci says, they're all public.
00:16:57.500 Well, they're obviously not public because we don't have them yet.
00:17:00.480 The member of Congress couldn't track them down.
00:17:02.240 So, they're not all that public.
00:17:03.340 How about you just tell us?
00:17:04.480 How about you just provide?
00:17:05.200 No, just ask.
00:17:06.280 Stop.
00:17:06.580 You're incorrect.
00:17:07.540 Rand Paul, or not.
00:17:09.120 Dr. Fauci first started using this line when he was speaking to Rand Paul.
00:17:13.380 You'll remember that Rand Paul accused Dr. Fauci of funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan.
00:17:20.220 And Fauci said, you're completely incorrect, Senator.
00:17:22.640 And then Rand Paul comes out and he says, well, actually, we have all of the details of you funding Dr. Barak.
00:17:27.120 And we have the grant proposal right here.
00:17:29.800 And then Fauci got caught in the line.
00:17:31.600 He goes, well, but no, but you're incorrect.
00:17:34.280 And he just keeps reciting this line.
00:17:35.820 So, now he's just saying it as a matter of rote discourse, even when it doesn't make sense for the question.
00:17:42.380 Okay, so what's the answer to the question?
00:17:44.200 What are your finances, Fauci?
00:17:46.220 Well, according to financial disclosures obtained by Open the Books, the federal government paid Fauci and his wife, who also works at NIH, $868,812 in combined income and benefits last year.
00:18:01.520 In addition to their federal salaries, the Fauci household also received royalties and stipends totaling over $100,000, at least $113,298.
00:18:15.340 And their investment accounts increased.
00:18:17.840 This is the big one.
00:18:19.640 Their investment accounts increased by almost $800,000 that year.
00:18:25.120 That's a pretty good return on investment, $800,000.
00:18:30.780 Well, how'd you manage that, Dr. Fauci?
00:18:32.820 Well, because the Fauci household net worth is over $10.4 million.
00:18:38.740 Wow, that's a lot of money for a civil servant.
00:18:46.880 That's a lot of money for just a scientist working in the lab on a government salary, $10.4 million.
00:18:54.880 Well, that's his wife's salary too that has added to that.
00:18:59.320 Oh, his wife, who also is a civil servant working for the government?
00:19:02.380 But over $10 million, huh?
00:19:06.800 Man, I'm in the wrong line of work.
00:19:09.280 I got to go work for the government.
00:19:10.860 Maybe I can get me $10 million.
00:19:15.120 Maybe it's just because Dr. Fauci is a very prominent, high-profile public figure and scientist.
00:19:23.800 Maybe he made a lot of money on speeches.
00:19:25.660 But maybe he made a lot of money on, I don't know, some of his scientific work.
00:19:29.480 Maybe he's made a lot of money on his investments, obviously.
00:19:32.580 Maybe those investments have something to do with his work.
00:19:35.180 I don't know.
00:19:35.600 I'm actually not making the accusation.
00:19:37.440 But I sure would like to know the character of Dr. Fauci's investments.
00:19:42.000 Don't you think that's sort of a basic ask?
00:19:47.120 Don't you think it's pretty reasonable to say, hey, Dr. Fauci, if you're in an extremely powerful government position,
00:19:53.200 you're the highest paid person in the federal government,
00:19:55.880 and you're moving billions of dollars around and sending billions of dollars around to different research
00:20:03.900 and to different private companies sometimes to help with that research,
00:20:08.540 and you're approving certain trials and certain studies and encouraging the use of certain drugs,
00:20:15.360 certain drugs, the patents of which are owned by certain companies,
00:20:17.760 and who knows where your money's invested.
00:20:19.720 I just want to know because this seems like a great opportunity for corruption.
00:20:27.020 I'm not saying Fauci has engaged in any kind of financial corruption.
00:20:32.860 It's just curious that a lifelong civil servant would be worth 10 million bucks.
00:20:38.440 Just asking questions.
00:20:39.740 No need to get defensive, Dr. You're incorrect, Michael.
00:20:43.220 How am I incorrect?
00:20:44.100 I'm asking questions.
00:20:45.140 You're incorrect.
00:20:45.500 Shut up, you.
00:20:46.700 You're incorrect.
00:20:47.660 Speaking of the science, I have to get to this story.
00:20:50.720 It's not really a story.
00:20:51.560 It's more of a personal anecdote.
00:20:53.140 A couple of days ago, it was snowing in Nashville, and it snows in Nashville a couple times a year,
00:20:58.620 but it's snowing, kind of shut everything down.
00:21:00.540 I wasn't able to come into the office, and so I jokingly tweeted out.
00:21:04.200 I said, dear libs, if global warming's real, why is it snowing?
00:21:08.780 Yours, Michael.
00:21:10.140 It was a very simple joke, an innocuous joke, a dad joke.
00:21:14.200 It's snowing, therefore, I don't know if I buy this global warming thing.
00:21:20.440 I don't really buy global warming either, but not because it's snowing.
00:21:23.280 We'll get to that in a little bit later.
00:21:26.060 I, at the same time, sent out this tweet.
00:21:28.000 I said, Knowles destroys snowflakes argument with facts and snowflakes.
00:21:34.360 So I'm making a little joke about the sometimes sensationalist headlines that we here at the Daily Wire have pioneered on certain arguments and debates.
00:21:43.360 Okay, that's it.
00:21:44.300 I didn't think it was the funniest joke.
00:21:45.660 I just thought, you know, it's okay.
00:21:46.820 The snow is kind of irking me.
00:21:48.040 I can't go to work.
00:21:50.620 Ha ha.
00:21:51.100 Ha ha ha.
00:21:51.540 The libs lost their minds over this tweet.
00:21:57.560 They can't, my phone is exploding over this tweet because they took my simple overdone joke as my thesis on global warming and the scientific establishment.
00:22:15.640 And so it's all of these humorless, very self-serious liberals who are responding now with all of their arguments about global warming.
00:22:25.060 Now, one of the fun things to do when you make a joke about how the world's not really going to end in 10 years because of the sun monster or whatever they say is you say, look, it's snowing.
00:22:40.620 Therefore, global warming is not real.
00:22:42.200 And then the libs get really, really angry.
00:22:43.460 And they say, no, you idiot, weather isn't climate.
00:22:47.600 No, you idiot, it was really, it was really warm on Christmas Day.
00:22:51.480 Someone actually responded to me, said it was really warm on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
00:22:56.280 And I responded to him and I said, yeah, but weather isn't climate.
00:23:00.360 They said, but you just said, but right, but, but you just said.
00:23:03.300 When the libs say weather isn't climate, what, the reason they say that is because some weather event or series of weather events has contradicted their global warming narrative.
00:23:15.260 But then the minute that a weather event or a series of weather events seems to buttress their global warming narrative, let's say it's, there's a hot streak in the middle of the summer.
00:23:26.560 They will point to that and they'll say, this is evidence of global warming.
00:23:30.700 So it's, it's completely disingenuous when the libs do it because when weather, when weather is cold, that's, that's not, weather isn't climate.
00:23:38.720 And when weather is hot, that is climate and that is evidence of global warming.
00:23:45.680 So anyway, it's a little funny, silly little game.
00:23:48.040 The only reason I bring this up is because, not because of global warming or, or whatever.
00:23:54.000 The reasons to be skeptical of global warming is because major apocalyptic scientific predictions that have been made, even within just the last 50 years, have all turned out to be completely bogus.
00:24:02.440 Namely, global cooling, which was a very serious scientific thesis in the 1970s.
00:24:07.040 And it turned out to be at, at best, the opposite of true because now they're all pushing global warming.
00:24:15.440 Overpopulation, Paul Ehrlich, a fetid scientist, still remains a lauded scientist on the left.
00:24:20.820 He said that within 10 years of 1970, there would be mass famines because of overpopulation.
00:24:26.580 We needed more contraception.
00:24:27.840 We needed abortion.
00:24:28.600 We need to coerce contraception and abortion if need be.
00:24:32.300 And even then, it wouldn't stop the famines, but it might mitigate it a little bit.
00:24:36.520 So these policies were adopted in India, in China, sterilizing poor people, killing babies, horrific, a genocide is what resulted from this.
00:24:45.900 Nevertheless, the global population doubled malnutrition at an all-time low.
00:24:48.800 So the reason I'm skeptical of the doomsday predictions, the world's going to end in 12 years, is because none of that ever comes true and it's just preposterous.
00:24:55.720 But the reason I bring up the story is actually nothing to do with global warming or climate change or whatever.
00:25:01.680 It's that the left has no idea what we think.
00:25:05.180 The left really believes that the right wing's skepticism of the global warming apocalypse amounts to, duh, it's snowing outside, no global warming.
00:25:15.800 They think that a simple joke that we're making is our actual argument because they probably don't know very many conservatives, if any.
00:25:22.920 And the only understanding they have of the conservative point of view is some caricature that they're given on CNN and MSNBC.
00:25:30.880 Very sad for them.
00:25:32.400 They don't know what we're talking about.
00:25:34.780 Now, one thing I'm very excited about is this new Daily Wire movie that's coming out.
00:25:40.120 That would be shut in.
00:25:41.280 We are releasing the final trailer for the Daily Wire's first original production, shut in.
00:25:47.220 It's a seat-gripping thriller that will be able to stream in early February.
00:25:51.240 The film follows the story of a young mother who's barricaded inside a closet by her violent ex-husband.
00:25:56.080 As she's trapped inside, she uses nothing but her voice to guide her children on the other side of the walls to safety,
00:26:01.900 all while the threat of her dangerous ex looms.
00:26:05.240 Take a look.
00:26:11.280 You had your way.
00:26:20.320 Now you must pay.
00:26:26.260 Your daughter, she's very pretty.
00:26:33.260 I'm scared.
00:26:36.320 Spooky.
00:26:37.420 Go to shutinfilm.com to watch the full trailer
00:26:40.080 and get ready for the film's release on February 10th.
00:26:42.940 The film is exclusive to The Daily Wire,
00:26:44.920 so make sure you head on over to dailywire.com slash subscribe.
00:26:48.340 Also, join me, Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boring, Matt Walsh, and Andrew Klavan tonight,
00:26:52.860 7 o'clock p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central, on dailywire.com and on our YouTube channel, Daily Wire.
00:26:58.800 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:27:00.120 Welcome back to the show.
00:27:13.580 Speaking of not understanding what the other side is saying in politics,
00:27:19.420 Planned Parenthood made a very silly claim on social media over the weekend.
00:27:25.260 And it went viral, and conservatives all were totally dunking on it because it seemed contradictory.
00:27:32.580 They tweeted out, quote,
00:27:33.920 Sexually speaking, folks with a vulva are far more than reproductive machines.
00:27:41.360 Folks with a vulva.
00:27:43.700 Hey, honey, you're one of my favorite folks with a vulva.
00:27:47.500 I just love you.
00:27:48.180 Isn't that?
00:27:48.500 That doesn't sound very romantic or personal or very polite at all.
00:27:52.420 A lot of conservatives were dunking on this because
00:27:56.560 it seems as though Planned Parenthood is doing the thing it says not to do.
00:28:02.980 They're saying, don't just define women by their reproductive parts.
00:28:06.420 Don't just say they're reproductive machines.
00:28:09.800 But we're not going to call them women.
00:28:11.180 We're going to call them folks with a vulva.
00:28:12.540 So we're defining them by their genitals.
00:28:15.440 And the conservatives are pointing out, you hypocrites, you're contradicting yourselves.
00:28:19.160 But they're actually not.
00:28:20.820 They're not contradicting themselves.
00:28:22.100 They're making exactly the point they want to make.
00:28:24.780 They attach to it this article, which is from wellandgood.com.
00:28:30.960 And it's about the full anatomy of a female pleasure part and how it was only mapped in our lifetimes.
00:28:37.800 And here's why knowing that matters.
00:28:39.120 And it talks about sex positivity and all the good physical sensations that ladies can have.
00:28:45.420 Planned Parenthood, when they define women as folks with a vulva, are not defining them as reproductive machines.
00:28:56.040 They're defining them as pleasure machines.
00:29:00.840 The organ that they're referencing is not exactly a reproductive organ.
00:29:06.540 They're not saying folks with ovaries.
00:29:08.940 They're not saying folks with fallopian tubes.
00:29:11.220 They're saying folks with the external organs.
00:29:14.940 Organs more associated with pleasure than with reproduction.
00:29:18.240 They're defining women as sterile pleasure machines.
00:29:21.920 They're saying women don't need to just be in the business of making babies.
00:29:26.160 They can also be used for your sexual gratification, men, and for their own sexual gratification.
00:29:32.520 Just their own pleasure.
00:29:33.880 But without having to worry about the product of that love between the man and the woman.
00:29:37.680 They're using this term in part because they want to be inclusive of women who think that they're men.
00:29:45.600 They call it transgender men.
00:29:47.780 And so the transgender men don't want to be called women even though they are women.
00:29:50.980 So they're defining them by this physical part.
00:29:52.440 But that's actually part of the same issue.
00:29:54.120 Which is that you're defining men and women only by their most superficial, shallow, skin-deep characteristics.
00:30:01.460 Not the deeper aspects of their spirit.
00:30:03.600 And even physically the deeper aspects of their body such as their ovaries.
00:30:08.140 Such as the babies that they can produce.
00:30:10.140 The life that is nurtured within them and then propagates the human race.
00:30:14.280 This is how the left views men and women.
00:30:18.080 Not as spiritually significant vessels who extend the human race from generation to generation through their love.
00:30:28.000 Which they transmit one to another and then out through the successive generations.
00:30:32.640 But as atomized, individual, sterile pleasure machines.
00:30:40.280 Planned Parenthood thinks that women are machines just as much as they're fantasies of the handmaid's tale.
00:30:47.200 Of what they think that conservatives believe.
00:30:49.060 Even though conservatives don't actually believe it.
00:30:50.600 That women are just there to be baby-making factories.
00:30:53.380 The idea of human beings as machines is part of the leftist, modern, ugly view of human beings.
00:31:03.860 Conservatives view human beings as more than just machines.
00:31:07.920 As part spirit.
00:31:09.920 As eternal creatures.
00:31:11.860 That will have a life on earth and will have a life beyond earth.
00:31:14.060 And who are answerable not merely to our own titillating sexual pleasures.
00:31:17.560 You know, poke this spot and you'll get a little thrill.
00:31:20.940 But as spiritual beings who are beholden to a real moral order.
00:31:27.940 You gotta give Planned Parenthood the credit for being coherent within their own completely absurd understanding of human nature.
00:31:36.920 Speaking of girls.
00:31:38.880 Kristi Noem.
00:31:40.560 She's the governor of South Dakota.
00:31:42.360 She clearly wants to run for president in 2024.
00:31:44.420 She has a new campaign ad out buffing up her conservative bona fides.
00:31:50.060 Saying she's always stood up for girls.
00:31:51.960 She's never backed down on protecting our girls.
00:31:55.520 On protecting our girls in school specifically.
00:31:59.120 And specifically protecting women's sports.
00:32:01.680 In South Dakota, only girls play girls sports.
00:32:05.460 Why?
00:32:06.020 Because of Governor Kristi Noem's leadership.
00:32:08.760 Noem has been protecting girls sports for years.
00:32:11.380 And never backed down.
00:32:12.760 Noem's study.
00:32:14.120 Conservative leadership doesn't win headlines.
00:32:16.880 It wins results.
00:32:18.620 Now, Governor Noem has a bill that will give South Dakota the strongest law in the nation protecting female sports.
00:32:25.460 Doing the work.
00:32:26.480 Delivering results.
00:32:27.740 Governor Kristi Noem.
00:32:29.160 Text Kristi to 21225 to learn more.
00:32:31.580 This is complete gaslighting.
00:32:35.360 This is just a complete lie that Kristi Noem and her political machine are trying to put out there to backtrack from her biggest political misstep yet.
00:32:47.520 Namely, that Kristi Noem did back down when it came to defending girls sports.
00:32:51.700 What happened was Kristi Noem was given a bill to defend girls sports and to prevent men from competing in girls sports by her legislature.
00:33:03.420 And she said she was really excited to sign it.
00:33:05.560 And then she backed down.
00:33:07.100 And she said she wasn't going to sign the bill as is.
00:33:09.840 Why did this happen?
00:33:11.740 I don't know.
00:33:12.240 Many people suspect she got a call from her corporate donors and from powerful national interests.
00:33:18.840 And they said, don't do this or you're going to lose money for your state or you're going to lose this event or you're going to lose that.
00:33:23.780 And so she backed down.
00:33:25.800 She said, okay, well, we'll protect some girls sports.
00:33:28.180 But we're going to let dudes compete against the women at the collegiate level, let's say.
00:33:33.340 Then she reversed course because there was a huge backlash.
00:33:35.940 And now she's trying to run for president as a conservative.
00:33:38.480 So she's just lying about the whole thing.
00:33:40.740 I'm glad that she reversed course.
00:33:42.240 I'm glad that Kristi Noem realized that she was wrong and changed it.
00:33:47.000 I credit her for that.
00:33:48.500 I would not be going after her if she had just done that and left it alone.
00:33:52.640 People make mistakes.
00:33:53.840 I want people to go from being wrong to being right.
00:33:56.060 And I don't want to punish them for changing their mind in the right direction.
00:33:58.900 But I really don't like being lied to.
00:34:01.700 And I don't like being lied to by Democrat politicians.
00:34:04.420 And I really don't like being lied to by Republican politicians.
00:34:07.320 And what Kristi Noem is doing right here is lying to us and trying to pretend that history is different than it was and her record is different than it was.
00:34:15.720 And that makes me even less likely to trust her.
00:34:18.960 I was already skeptical of trusting her because she was wrong on a very basic issue.
00:34:22.700 Namely, are men, women, and women, men.
00:34:24.280 But then I said, okay, fine.
00:34:27.360 She's come along at least.
00:34:28.540 But now she's lying to me.
00:34:29.560 So now I have really no reason to trust her.
00:34:31.420 The only reason that anyone even started talking about this woman as a potential presidential candidate is because she stood firm during COVID and didn't lock down her state.
00:34:40.280 That was the reputation she got at least.
00:34:41.960 But my friend John Schweppe from the American Principles Project, I think, was the first to dig up the fact that Kristi Noem actually did not originally stand firm against the lockdowns.
00:34:55.180 It was the South Dakota legislature that stood firm against the lockdowns.
00:34:59.620 Kristi Noem was inclined to institute certain lockdown measures in her state.
00:35:04.020 But the legislators prevented her from doing that, as even she admits.
00:35:08.300 We will be using appropriate enforcement measures as necessary that I do have at my disposal.
00:35:13.940 But we have not run into an incidence yet where that's been necessary.
00:35:17.820 I think the question was who specifically would enact that enforcement?
00:35:24.160 It would be, it's in my executive order.
00:35:26.620 So I would expect that if there's enforcement action to be taken, it would be mine.
00:35:30.380 And the follow-up then, what's the penalty for someone in Lincoln or Minnehaha County who is over 65 who has a chronic illness or doesn't comply?
00:35:38.080 We will deal with that when it is necessary.
00:35:40.460 We did have a bill that came before the legislature last week that we talked about some enforcement mechanisms we wanted to give to the secretary of the Department of Health.
00:35:50.140 The legislature did not support that bill.
00:35:52.940 Therefore, that is not a tool that we have available to us today.
00:35:57.280 A lot of people haven't heard that clip.
00:35:59.360 But what she says there right at the end is crucial.
00:36:02.320 She says, look, we had a bill go up before the legislature to try to give us, us, the people who want to enforce the mandates.
00:36:11.040 The ability to enforce certain lockdown measures.
00:36:14.320 And it was going to give the secretary of health special powers to do that.
00:36:18.340 But unfortunately, the legislature shot it down.
00:36:21.440 So we, she's putting herself on the side of the people who would enforce the lockdown measures.
00:36:26.360 Not the people who are opposing the lockdown measures like some Republican governors have done.
00:36:29.660 But she says, no, we, yeah, we, we wanted to be able to institute those lockdown measures.
00:36:34.560 But the legislature wouldn't let us.
00:36:37.380 Drats.
00:36:37.700 So Kristi Noem is a moderate Republican at best.
00:36:44.140 Okay.
00:36:44.580 And her two achievements that she's touting, one, that she didn't lock down her state, and two, that she defended girls' sports, she did reluctantly.
00:36:52.420 She was dragged kicking and screaming into those positions.
00:36:54.620 So, she's a moderate Republican at best.
00:36:59.280 And yet, she is trying to reposition herself as a conservative.
00:37:02.260 What does this mean?
00:37:03.420 What does it mean for Kristi Noem?
00:37:05.080 I don't really care.
00:37:06.180 I'm not that interested in Kristi Noem's personal political career.
00:37:09.140 I wish her the best.
00:37:11.820 You know, go with God.
00:37:12.740 Have a good life.
00:37:14.000 What does it mean for the conservative movement?
00:37:16.160 That interests me much more.
00:37:17.780 Because what it means is, looking ahead to 2022 and then especially to 2024, the candidates who want to be taken seriously are going to have to adopt rather right-wing, rather conservative positions.
00:37:32.840 Culturally conservative positions, not even just cut taxes and leave me alone.
00:37:38.280 Culturally conservative.
00:37:39.240 We're going to stop woke corporations from enforcing certain measures.
00:37:43.400 We're going to keep your churches open.
00:37:46.100 We're going to resist the scientific genius experts.
00:37:48.700 We're going to resist the administrative government.
00:37:51.340 You know, strong conservative positions, even if they don't believe it, as one wonders about Kristi Noem.
00:37:58.840 Does she really believe these conservative positions she's now espousing?
00:38:01.660 Whether she does or not, I don't really care.
00:38:04.620 The fact that that's where the pressure is, is very good news for the Republican Party and the conservative movement.
00:38:09.700 The days of the just-cut-taxes GOP are over.
00:38:14.360 They're over, not because the conservatives have gone crazy and we've lost our minds and we're running into this radicalism.
00:38:21.260 The reason that the GOP is leaning more into cultural issues right now is because the liberals are making our kids chant prayers to Aztec human sacrifice demons in school.
00:38:34.040 I'm not speaking metaphorically here.
00:38:38.540 That's not hyperbole.
00:38:40.360 It's not an exaggeration.
00:38:42.500 The libs are actually making our children chant prayers to Aztec cannibal demons in public schools.
00:38:53.520 Or at least they were until the state of California stopped doing it.
00:38:58.680 Following a lawsuit from parents, the state of California has permanently removed what is called the in-lock-eck affirmation from the state curriculum.
00:39:08.260 The in-lock-eck affirmation forced students to chant prayers to the Aztec demon of human sacrifice to become warriors for social justice.
00:39:21.240 What?
00:39:21.860 Michael, surely you're making this up.
00:39:23.860 I'm not.
00:39:24.500 I'm not.
00:39:24.960 Reality is stranger than fiction these days.
00:39:27.280 The demon that they were chanting to is Tezcatlipoca.
00:39:31.700 He is the Aztec demon of human sacrifice and cannibalism, among other things.
00:39:35.740 This was part of the mandatory new ethnic studies curriculum.
00:39:39.260 Now it starts to make a little bit more sense.
00:39:41.820 Because the ethnic studies curriculum pushes this idea that white Christians bad every other racial and religious group good.
00:39:54.600 White Christians are accused in this curriculum of committing theocide, killing God or a God,
00:40:01.960 against the indigenous peoples, murdering their gods and replacing them with the true God, the God of the Bible.
00:40:10.940 And in fairness to the ethnic studies curriculum, that is what happened.
00:40:15.900 Christian civilization came to the New World.
00:40:19.920 Hernan Cortes specifically arrived and discovered the Aztec Empire.
00:40:24.240 And he conquered it and he banished the demons that they were worshipping and he brought Christianity to that place.
00:40:33.720 And that is one of the greatest political achievements in the history of the world.
00:40:38.660 The Aztec Empire is one of the most evil political bodies that has ever existed.
00:40:43.280 They would regularly sacrifice all sorts of humans by ripping out their hearts.
00:40:50.340 They're still beating hearts from their chests and then kicking them down one of their pyramids, one of their pyramid-like structures.
00:40:58.120 At the consecration of the Temple of Tenochtitlan, an estimated 80,000 people were sacrificed in this way in the course of four days.
00:41:06.960 The Aztecs believed that the sacrifice of innocent children in particular was pleasing to the demons that they worshipped and would give them more rain for their crops.
00:41:17.540 And so they would sacrifice the children.
00:41:19.280 They believed that the tears of little children were particularly pleasing.
00:41:23.520 And so they would make sure to torture the children in the most heinous ways that we have detailed accounts of that I'm not going to recount for you on this show because they're so horrifying you won't sleep at night.
00:41:34.320 Now, that's what they did en masse by the tens of thousands to appease the demons that the liberals wanted your children to pray to because of how awful Christian civilization is.
00:41:49.860 Does that make a lot of sense to you?
00:41:53.380 No, it doesn't.
00:41:54.840 Reasonable people all agree that our kids should not be chanting prayers to human sacrifice demons.
00:42:02.380 We all agree on that.
00:42:03.500 I think most liberals and conservatives, we all agree on that.
00:42:06.900 So why?
00:42:09.200 Why?
00:42:09.680 Why is it wrong?
00:42:10.560 Why do we agree that kids shouldn't be doing them?
00:42:12.280 Who's to say?
00:42:12.980 Who's to say that one God is better than any other God?
00:42:15.260 Who's to say that one religion is better than any other religion?
00:42:17.680 You're delving into some pretty murky territory here, Buster.
00:42:20.180 What happened to the separation of church and state?
00:42:22.100 What's so bad about chanting to the demon God if we're also going to teach certain principles that come from the Bible?
00:42:28.900 Are you seriously telling me you're going to privilege Christianity over the demon worship in the new world?
00:42:37.600 What does that imply if we are willing to do that?
00:42:40.700 There's a big political fight going on in a Maryland school district.
00:42:45.760 Conservative Maryland school district, Carroll County, it's divided on a question of whether or not we should kick politics out of the classroom.
00:42:56.060 The policy was proposed in July of last year.
00:42:58.600 It would revise an existing rule on employee political activities by saying that Carroll County public school staff, quote,
00:43:05.480 should avoid discussion of political issues parties and candidates during classroom instruction unless those discussions align with the approved curriculum.
00:43:12.840 And this is being pushed by conservatives to stop the left from trying to indoctrinate kids into radicalism and have them chant to Aztec demons.
00:43:23.540 This is a bad idea.
00:43:24.820 This is a bad idea because it's based on a faulty premise that there's such a thing as neutrality, especially neutrality in education.
00:43:34.420 There is no such thing.
00:43:35.500 There is no neutrality.
00:43:37.640 If you teach kids to worship the Aztec demon, you are implicitly, at least, sometimes explicitly, teaching them not to worship God.
00:43:49.540 If you're teaching them that human sacrifice is good, which is implicit in praying to the Aztec demon God,
00:43:57.760 then you are teaching them that stopping human sacrifice, as the God of the Bible demands, is bad.
00:44:05.920 If you are teaching them that it is good to follow one heinous code of morality, then you are telling them that it is bad to follow the good, true code of morality.
00:44:22.260 You can't just remain neutral on everything.
00:44:25.300 This issue came up because another state legislator got in trouble for saying that we need to remain neutral on teaching communism and fascism and Nazism.
00:44:33.560 We need to remain neutral.
00:44:35.760 We can't.
00:44:36.720 We can't.
00:44:37.220 Look, some people have different views of Hitler.
00:44:40.900 Some people have different views of Stalin.
00:44:43.360 And so we have to remain perfectly neutral and present both sides.
00:44:46.100 But you can't do that.
00:44:47.360 That's not how education works.
00:44:48.800 Education requires people to form their views, to form their ideas, to form their behaviors, to form their understanding of morality.
00:44:56.740 And that requires teaching people the difference between true and false, yes, and good and bad, and right and wrong.
00:45:04.280 If it's wrong to pray to the Aztec demon God, then what God should we pray to?
00:45:08.660 That is the inevitable next question in education.
00:45:13.460 There's no neutrality.
00:45:14.260 You see it in Microsoft right now.
00:45:16.320 Getting out of schools for a second.
00:45:17.540 Microsoft has implemented a new woke word checker.
00:45:21.740 This is in a new menu item called Grammar and Refinements in Word, which is the most popular word processing program in the world.
00:45:32.900 It doesn't check how you spell words.
00:45:34.960 It doesn't check how you use grammar or punctuation.
00:45:38.620 It checks age bias, cultural bias, ethnic slurs, gender bias, gender neutral pronouns, gender specific language, racial bias, sexual orientation bias, and socioeconomic bias.
00:45:48.040 So if you type in Mrs. Thatcher, referring to the Iron Lady, Mrs. Thatcher did this in Great Britain, it will suggest that you change it to Ms. Thatcher.
00:45:59.300 I suspect Maggie Thatcher is rolling in her grave at the very thought.
00:46:02.220 If you type in the phrase uttered by Neil Armstrong as he took the first step onto the moon, one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind, it will suggest you change it to humankind.
00:46:15.320 You know humankind.
00:46:16.140 It's more inclusive, isn't it?
00:46:17.740 Even though man is a gender neutral word.
00:46:19.940 In the beginning, God created man, both male and female.
00:46:21.960 He created them.
00:46:23.380 No, can't do that anymore.
00:46:24.660 We have to change the first words on the moon.
00:46:26.340 When you switch this tool on, the spelling mistakes are underlined in red, the grammar errors are underlined in blue, and inclusiveness issues are underlined in purple.
00:46:38.440 Microsoft is a very woke company.
00:46:40.020 You might remember some months ago, Microsoft held a conference, and they opened the conference by engaging in the liberal liturgy of pretty much any woke trope you can find.
00:46:51.440 They threw in everything but the kitchen sink.
00:46:53.440 Hello, and welcome to Microsoft Ignite.
00:46:58.700 We've got a big day ahead and lots in store for you.
00:47:02.980 First, we want to acknowledge that the land where the Microsoft campus is situated was traditionally occupied by the Sammamish, the Duwamish, the Snoqualmie, the Suquamish, the Muckleshoot, the Snohomish, the Tulalip,
00:47:19.480 and other Coast Salish peoples since time immemorial, a people that are still here, continuing to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage.
00:47:30.840 My name is Allison Wines.
00:47:33.060 I'm a senior program manager in our developer tools division.
00:47:36.500 I'm an Asian and white female with dark brown hair wearing a red sleeveless top.
00:47:41.540 And I'm Seth Juarez, program manager in the AI Platform Group.
00:47:45.120 I'm a tall Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants.
00:47:48.120 It goes on and on.
00:47:51.880 It really only gets worse from there.
00:47:55.000 Slight side note.
00:47:56.060 You notice they never ask themselves why this land was occupied by all those groups of people.
00:48:01.080 This land was occupied by the Suwamish and the sashimi and the Muckleshoot and the hoogie hockey.
00:48:05.880 And they all, it was occupied by all of the, why, why was that?
00:48:09.420 Is it because one group took it from another group?
00:48:12.800 Well, they were all occupying it at the exact same time.
00:48:15.560 I don't think so.
00:48:16.340 I think actually one group came in and took the land from the group that was there before.
00:48:20.860 And that was considered perfectly fine.
00:48:22.560 And we have no problem with it.
00:48:23.880 But then we came in and took the land in some cases, won it through conquest, sometimes bought it.
00:48:28.700 But that's evil and terrible because it was Christendom that came in and did that.
00:48:33.180 A digression.
00:48:33.980 Listen, this is a great threat to our political order.
00:48:40.280 But it's not government people pushing it.
00:48:41.920 It's not just big government, all right?
00:48:44.200 It's corporation.
00:48:45.800 It's corporate power.
00:48:47.060 It's technological power.
00:48:49.740 It's not government, but it's still political.
00:48:52.980 It still shapes our whole political order, how we understand ourselves, how we understand our relation to citizens,
00:48:57.180 how we understand our relation to the state.
00:48:59.300 But this happens to be the subject of my book, Speechless, which I finished one year ago today, exactly.
00:49:06.560 And thank you to everyone who bought that and made it a number one national bestseller.
00:49:09.480 This is what Republicans and conservatives are going to need to fight moving forward.
00:49:14.940 This is not just about what big government does.
00:49:19.500 But it is political.
00:49:21.280 It's not just about Joe Biden issuing some policy, raising taxes, some executive order.
00:49:28.560 It's about Joe Biden redefining Martin Luther King Day as George Floyd Day, which is essentially what he did.
00:49:34.960 It's about some woke corporation encouraging you to say this and don't say this.
00:49:39.860 It's about big tech explicitly prohibiting you from saying certain things.
00:49:43.500 And that reshapes all of it.
00:49:44.840 Those are very powerful political interests.
00:49:46.980 And it is incumbent on any serious conservative who wants to maintain something resembling the traditional American way of life to fight back against all of it.
00:49:55.160 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:49:55.880 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:49:56.680 See you tomorrow.
00:49:58.560 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:50:48.520 Today on The Matt Wall Show, we're told that there is a mental illness epidemic among kids, which can be attributed to the pandemic.
00:50:55.400 But that's a lie and a very nefarious one.
00:50:57.380 And I'll explain why today.
00:50:58.220 Also, the Supreme Court killed the vaccine mandate.
00:51:00.220 But some companies are enforcing the mandate anyway.
00:51:02.480 How should we respond to that as consumers?
00:51:04.940 And a clip of Biden saying that George Floyd's death had a greater impact on the world than Martin Luther King's death.
00:51:12.520 He's right, actually, but not for the reason he thinks.
00:51:14.340 Plus, a woman drives her car into a river by accident and then takes a selfie while the vehicle sinks below the surface.
00:51:20.360 It's an image that perfectly encapsulates modern Western culture.
00:51:23.920 We'll talk about that and much more today on The Matt Wall Show.
