The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 954 - Trans Ukraine Or Die

00:00:00.000 As the body count mounts in Ukraine, as Vladimir Putin is reportedly attacking even residential

00:00:06.180 areas in his conquest of the breadbasket of Europe, the American establishment news media

00:00:11.980 are focusing on issues that really matter, like the effect of the invasion on transgender 0.79

00:00:18.880 acceptance. CBS News is reporting that, quote, transgender acceptance in Ukraine is not widespread

00:00:27.640 and changing legal documents to match gender requires a long process with psychiatric

00:00:34.300 evaluations. I suspect the psychiatric evaluations go something like this. Sir, do you think you're

00:00:39.760 a woman? No. Okay, you pass. Yes, you do. Sorry, you fail. Would seem like a pretty straightforward 1.00

00:00:46.320 psychiatric examination. I digress. The network goes on, quote, CBS News spoke with one woman

00:00:53.040 in Kiev who is now battling a war within a war amid Russia's invasion. The woman, of course,

00:01:02.160 is a man, and the war within the war is a sexual delusion presently being crammed down everyone's

00:01:09.200 throats by an increasingly decadent secular West. But the news report is actually a helpful reminder 0.76

00:01:15.560 to the warmongering globalist liberals who two weeks ago couldn't have pointed to Kiev on a map.

00:01:21.480 It reminds them, Ukraine is not your toy. It is not merely the area of the world where you can

00:01:32.840 superimpose your own delusions and your own preferences. Ukraine is a nation and a people

00:01:39.660 with its own beliefs and customs and interests and way of viewing the world. And maybe if our leaders in

00:01:48.240 the West had had even a modicum of humility and prudence, maybe if they had shown just the teensiest,

00:01:55.760 tiniest bit of respect for those national differences and for Ukraine's unique and uniquely vulnerable

00:02:02.740 place in Eastern Europe, perhaps we wouldn't all find ourselves today on the brink of World War III.

00:02:09.460 But I suppose that sort of basic competence and judgment is too much to ask of a ruling class

00:02:15.520 that can't tell the difference between boys and girls. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael

00:02:19.940 Knowles Show.

00:02:28.200 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Marcus W., who says,

00:02:32.300 what I fear most about being completely vaporized in a nuclear explosion is that I might start voting

00:02:37.740 Democrat afterwards. That's true. That's a real fear. People don't consider that,

00:02:42.520 that even after the world goes up in the bright flash in the mushroom cloud, Democrats will continue

00:02:48.960 to win elections. They'll probably win them by a greater margin than ever before. Now, when you want

00:02:55.220 to try to protect yourself, if you think things are going south, you got to get out of Dodge. You got to

00:02:59.320 make sure that you got wheels to do it in, which is why you got to check out Rock Auto. Right now,

00:03:04.640 go to rockauto.com. Enter the word Knowles in their how did you hear about us box so they know that I

00:03:11.140 sent you. Then send me a thank you note because when you go to rockauto.com, you are going to save

00:03:16.440 so much. You could save 20%, 30%, 50% on your auto parts for the exact same auto parts. You don't need

00:03:23.000 to drive to the brick and mortar store. You don't need to answer a thousand questions. You don't need

00:03:26.680 to wait for the guy to go in the back only to not have your part so that you got to go back and you

00:03:30.640 got to go online. Just pull out your phone right now. Save all that money. They got the same prices

00:03:36.000 for pros and do-it-yourselfers. There's no gimmicks. You don't have to wait until Tuesday

00:03:39.680 at 3 a.m. to log on. It's a special sale. No, always reliably low prices. The website is so easy

00:03:45.700 to navigate. Even I can do it. You just go, pull out your phone, get on your computer, type in

00:03:52.360 rockauto.com. You can see all the parts available for your car or truck. Go get them now and then write

00:04:00.840 Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S in their How Did You Hear About Us box so they know that we sent you. 0.99

00:04:07.520 The libs make everything about creepy sex. They make everything. Every single thing 1.00

00:04:14.740 is about their own weird sexual hangups. School. You go to school now. You don't learn your reading,

00:04:23.640 writing, and arithmetic. You learn about transgenderism and throuples and all sorts of 0.99

00:04:30.260 weird kinky sex stuff. Even a war in Europe, the first major land war in Europe since World War II, 1.00

00:04:38.340 they somehow make it about creepy sex because I'm sure that's what the grandmothers who are 1.00

00:04:43.220 in their bunkers right now in Kiev, that's what they're worried about is, oh boy, can the drag queens, 1.00

00:04:49.860 do they really feel they can express themselves with the bombs going off? I sure hope. We got to fix

00:04:54.920 that problem first. Then we can deal with the tanks that are rolling into our city. 0.95

00:04:58.840 The left is obsessed with weird, creepy, destructive sex. You saw this the other day 0.98

00:05:06.860 with John Oliver. John Oliver, whose show I have never watched, but his clips go around and so

00:05:12.840 occasionally I am forced to watch them. John Oliver made an argument that is not a fringe argument. It's

00:05:19.660 very much a mainstream left-wing argument that a pressing social problem is that we must right now

00:05:26.540 legalize prostitution. Basically, consensual sex for money on camera is legal porn and consensual 0.59

00:05:35.200 sex for money off camera is illegal sex work. Makes sense, right? Wrong? Well, exactly. Everything 0.96

00:05:42.080 about the way we regulate sex work in this country is confusing and counterproductive. And when we talk

00:05:47.120 about it, it's often either demonizing, patronizing, or just plain wrong. And in some cases, all three

00:05:52.940 at once. But a human history's worth of sh** laws hasn't changed the fact that one, sex work has always 0.93

00:05:59.280 been part of society, appealing to every interest and every kind of clientele. And two, sex workers 0.97

00:06:04.380 are not a monolith. People from a variety of backgrounds do it for a variety of reasons.

00:06:09.580 And the fact is, our current system of criminalizing the trade and driving everyone underground is

00:06:15.320 actually only making life harder for the most vulnerable involved.

00:06:20.560 So the point of his self-righteous monologue is we need to legalize prostitution. That'll be really,

00:06:27.660 really wonderful. He's right that prostitution has always been around. It is the oldest profession in

00:06:33.480 the world. It's really tied with politics for being the oldest profession in the world. And as Ronald

00:06:38.740 Reagan pointed out, the two professions have a lot of similarities. They look pretty similar when

00:06:43.880 you compare them side by side. That's all true. Why would it follow then that we should encourage

00:06:52.680 more prostitution? He says, all these laws against prostitution, they don't do anything to actually

00:06:59.140 reduce prostitution. That's, I think, what he's insinuating. No, they just make the whole thing worse.

00:07:03.700 This is this typical pie in the sky, magical thinking, liberal argument that if you pass a law

00:07:11.280 against something, you're not going to get less of it. You're going to get more of it. That's why we

00:07:15.840 need to take away the laws against drugs, for instance. If you take away, look, you got laws

00:07:19.600 against drugs. They don't do anything. So we got to take, actually, if you want to reduce drug use,

00:07:23.600 you got to, you got to legalize drugs. If you want to, if you want to minimize prostitution,

00:07:28.840 you got to legalize prostitution, because laws give you more of a thing, right? Except that isn't 0.92

00:07:34.860 true. That isn't true about any aspect of society. If it were true, we would get rid of laws against

00:07:39.800 murder, wouldn't we? Because, well, if the law gives you more of the thing, then we better repeal 0.50

00:07:46.760 those laws against murder tomorrow. We're getting so much more murder than we need. Let's legalize

00:07:50.880 murder. Let's, we'll regulate it. We'll legalize murder. We'll regulate it. And then we'll get a lot

00:07:54.980 less of it, right? No, of course not. We pass laws against things. These laws actually do

00:07:59.920 disincentivize those activities. Okay. When you have laws against prostitution, you actually do get

00:08:05.960 less prostitution. Now we don't really enforce these laws. There are lots of difficult problems

00:08:11.320 with them. Sure. Okay. You can try to reform criminal laws. You always try to do that.

00:08:17.420 Beyond the legal point that John Oliver is making here is a philosophical one,

00:08:22.660 which is really bad. His argument is to really be free, we need to be able to treat ourselves like

00:08:28.100 we're meat puppets. To really be free, we need to be able to accept money for people to pursue their

00:08:36.720 basest, most animalistic sexual desires, and for us to be treated not like dignified human beings made

00:08:42.220 in the image of God, but like meat, like little sex toys to be merely vessels for someone else's 0.61

00:08:48.900 temporary pleasure to be used and discarded and thrown to the side. That's the argument here, 0.90

00:08:54.460 that we have some natural right to do that, that we've got, that that's the true height of liberty.

00:08:58.820 But of course, that's not the height of liberty. And you see it beyond, I'm really not picking on

00:09:03.580 sex workers as the new politically correct term. I'm really not. It actually is the world's oldest

00:09:07.560 profession, but it's not good. It's not conducive to virtue. It's not conducive to the virtue of the

00:09:12.540 sex workers. It's not conducive to the virtue of the clients. It's not conducive to the virtue 0.99

00:09:17.660 of society. There is no right to prostitution, whether you're the person buying it or you're

00:09:22.520 the person selling it. It's not, it just isn't good. Just outlaw it. It's just bad. And you

00:09:27.020 should enforce the laws and everyone would benefit from that. Okay. When John Oliver makes this point,

00:09:31.460 he says, well, how come it's, it's legal if you have a camera in the room, right? And we call that

00:09:36.900 the pornography industry, but it's not legal if you don't have a camera in the room. Great question,

00:09:41.080 John. You're right. Ban porn. You make a great point. Yeah, that's dumb. That's a,

00:09:45.120 that's a ridiculous distinction. And we should, we should heavily regulate if not ban outright

00:09:51.940 pornography as well. Sure. Okay. That's a good idea. Not, but it goes even beyond the sex work.

00:09:59.420 We are told now our kids are taught in classrooms that to be truly free, you need to pursue every

00:10:05.400 weird sexual desire you ever had any like weird, destructive, kinky thought that ever popped into 0.94

00:10:11.060 your head. You have to pursue it because if you don't, you're going to be repressed and you shouldn't

00:10:16.200 be repressed because then you won't be free. And if you, you're a man and you think you're a woman to 0.65

00:10:20.460 be really free, you've got to chop up your body and take medications to, to maintain these open wounds

00:10:26.560 and, and pretend to enforce society to pretend that you're something that you're not. That's the only

00:10:30.840 way to be free. But of course that's not true. The way we're, we're now entering into a period

00:10:35.000 of Lent. American Christians are at least Christians around the world, I suppose. And, and I think it's

00:10:40.740 even for non-Christians, this is a good period to reflect and think, okay, what is the real way to be 0.84

00:10:45.880 free? The modern libs tell you the way to be free is do whatever you want. No, the way to be free is

00:10:51.000 self-denial. It's education. It's tamping down those face desires, cultivating your higher will, but we

00:10:57.280 don't live in a serious country anymore that recognizes that. Remember we, we used to talk in our

00:11:03.140 country about sacrifice. We used to talk about not being little children, growing up, be a man,

00:11:09.900 do what you got to do. You find your duty, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can

00:11:15.600 do for your country. We're going to be a nation of tough men who are going to leave a better country

00:11:20.840 to our children. Well, that's not the country we're in right now. It was, this was so clear last

00:11:26.020 night at the state of the union address, the most depressing, sad, pathetic state of the union I have 0.97

00:11:34.080 ever watched. And I have watched a whole lot of them. The state of the union was really, really 0.81

00:11:40.480 bad and terrible and the worst one that I've ever seen. But I'm more interested in the state of your

00:11:47.020 household. Okay. No one likes to think about household breakdowns, but right now you should

00:11:51.160 go to ahs.com slash Knowles because household breakdowns happen. They happen way more often

00:11:57.280 than you would like. That is why it pays to have a plan from American Home Shield to help cover the 0.86

00:12:01.980 costs to repair and replace things like your heating system, like your air conditioner, like your fridge.

00:13:03.100 I do want to get back to Ukraine because that matters a lot more to world security and the prospect 0.65

00:13:09.660 of World War III than whatever nonsense Joe Biden was talking about last night in the State of the

00:13:13.480 Union. But there are a few things I've got to cover because they were alternately hilarious and

00:13:17.440 pathetic. The saddest part of the State of the Union, very few people have pointed this out, 0.70

00:13:22.040 was this moment where Joe Biden was trying desperately to name, he didn't have any

00:13:26.940 accomplishments that he could name, so he just kept talking about things in the future.

00:13:30.600 Right? He would say, instead of talking about the State of the Union right now and as a result of the

00:13:34.000 last year of his leadership, he'd just say, you know, in the future we're going to do this and next year

00:13:37.940 we'll cure cancer and five years from now we're going to have a gumdrop Candy Mountain. That's

00:13:43.060 going to be really great. At one point, though, the Democrats started chanting USA, USA.

00:13:51.380 So that was coming from the Democrats, USA, USA, USA. And when I heard it, it struck me as so

00:14:09.340 foreign and artificial. I said, why? Why is this so strange to me? Because I've never heard Democrats 0.72

00:14:14.380 ever chant USA, USA. Neither have you. Even for our liberal listeners out there, our Democrat listeners

00:14:20.320 out there, I think if you're being really honest with yourself, you can admit Democrats don't do

00:14:25.380 that. That's a Republican thing to do. Right? Because what Democrats do is they protest the

00:14:32.140 American flag. They teach in schools that America is a racist, bigoted, terrible country that's always 0.97

00:14:38.460 been awful to black people and minorities and Indians and women and everyone who's not a straight 1.00

00:14:43.240 white man with blonde hair and blue eyes. America's just really been awful. They spread evil all around 0.99

00:14:49.200 the world. We're just the worst country ever and we've got nothing to be proud of. That's what the

00:14:53.660 Democrats teach. Okay. But what I think happened is the Democrats got their pollsters out there and

00:14:58.800 they know that this is a midterm election year and they realized that hating America doesn't play very

00:15:03.440 well in Peoria. And so they said, okay, we've got to change this. Hey, Democrats. And all the members

00:15:07.740 of Congress have a script for these things. So they've got the little script. Okay. Applaud here,

00:15:12.360 stand up here. And I guess one of them was chant USA, USA. Just do an impersonation of a

00:15:18.140 Republican. Do an impersonation of a conservative during the Trump administration, standing up USA,

00:15:23.320 USA. You could see on the dais up there behind Joe Biden, you have Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris,

00:15:29.360 and they're there for the USA, USA, and they don't know what to do. They don't, they're not chanting.

00:15:33.500 They're kind of clapping in the rhythm. There's, oh, I've never heard this before. Ah, you,

00:15:37.960 USA, you, as it reminded me during COVID, you remember Andrew Cuomo before he fell from grace,

00:15:45.000 Andrew Cuomo was caught on camera and he said, uh, you know, uh, Donald Trump says make America great

00:15:51.040 again. America was never that great. America was never that great. That's what he said. Damning

00:15:56.520 line. I think he was speaking for a lot of Democrats. Don't forget, Andrew Cuomo is considered

00:16:00.860 a moderate Democrat. So it wasn't even some fringe line, but they just believe America was never that

00:16:04.880 great. And then that got him into a little bit of trouble. And then he goes to the Democrat

00:16:09.380 national convention and he gives one of the speeches and he says, we're America strong.

00:16:13.960 We're to, we're America. America always does great stuff. We're the, you think, buddy,

00:16:18.740 you don't really believe that it rings hollow and it rang hollow last night. The creepiest moment I

00:16:25.040 thought of the whole state of the union was at the very end when Joe Biden started to ratchet up

00:16:29.480 the radicalism a little bit. And he started pushing his radical abortion law to codify Roe versus

00:16:34.740 Wade, which very possibly could be overturned in the new Supreme court session. He wanted to codify

00:16:40.240 that into law. So even if the court gets rid of the fake constitutional right to abortion,

00:16:45.100 it'll still be a national law. And every state in the country is going to have to kill babies 0.99

00:16:49.840 and no state, no people has the right to say, no, we don't want to kill babies in Texas or Tennessee.

00:16:55.740 So Joe Biden was talking about that. He came up with a new euphemism for abortion.

00:17:01.420 Advancing liberty and justice also requires protecting the rights of women. The constitutional

00:17:08.300 right affirmed by Roe v. Wade, standing precedent for half a century is under attack as never before.

00:17:14.040 If you want to go forward, not backwards, we must protect access to health care,

00:17:18.140 preserve a woman's right to choose and continue to advance maternal health care for all America.

00:17:25.900 Maternal health care. We've heard a lot of euphemisms for abortion over the years.

00:17:30.580 We've heard reproductive rights. Ironic because abortion stops reproduction and it's not right. 1.00

00:17:36.900 We've heard women's health care, which is very, very vague, right? I call my grandmother. I say,

00:17:42.780 hey, grandma, how you doing? She doesn't say, well, Michael, you know, my hip hurts and my friend died

00:17:47.480 and the car broke down. But hey, at least I have my right to abortion, right? That's not what all

00:17:52.360 women mean by health. Quite the opposite. But this was the first time I'd ever heard this one. And it's 0.96

00:17:57.320 the most ghoulish one of all. Maternal health care. See, the Democrats use these euphemisms for

00:18:05.180 abortion because they don't want to admit that abortion necessarily involves killing a baby.

00:18:10.980 So they won't even acknowledge that the baby's real most of the time. They'll say, no, it's just

00:18:14.340 women's health. Oh, it's just a minor medical procedure. It's just, it's reproductive rights, 1.00

00:18:19.600 right? They'll equate it with contraception. The idea that you're not even, you're going to stop

00:18:25.500 it before it even becomes a baby. But maternal health care is acknowledging that the woman getting

00:18:33.320 an abortion is already a mother. Maternal health care is acknowledging that the baby really is a baby 0.97

00:18:40.140 in the fullest sense of the word. You're calling the woman getting an abortion mommy. 0.68

00:18:43.980 And mommy is going to snuff out her little baby if Joe Biden has his way. And mommies aren't even 1.00

00:18:51.060 going to have the right to get together and pass laws in their states to outlaw killing babies if

00:18:55.740 Joe Biden gets his way. That is some spooky stuff from allegedly the moderate Democrat,

00:19:01.580 from allegedly the Catholic Joe Biden. I'm allegedly, I'm, you know, I'm personally pro-life,

00:19:07.440 but politically I'm pro-choice. He used to do that. You remember that? That was a little song and

00:19:11.440 dance that Democrats came up with decades ago to get themselves out of that tight spot

00:19:15.420 on abortion, especially Catholic Democrats. Mario Cuomo did it in New York. But now they've totally 0.82

00:19:20.980 gotten rid of that. And Joe Biden doesn't believe a damn thing that he pretends to believe in. 0.82

00:19:24.240 All he cares about is saying the things that are popular in his party and maintaining power. 0.62

00:19:29.600 So now he says, yeah, it's maternal health care. Yeah. Yeah. It's a baby. Yeah. You pro-lifers,

00:19:34.680 you were right. It's a baby and we're coming for him. Spooky, spooky stuff. And then the silliest line

00:19:40.500 of the night was when Joe Biden said that what Democrats support is not defunding the police,

00:19:47.720 not abolishing the police. Actually, Democrats want to fund the police.

00:19:52.780 Proven strategies like community violence interruption, trusted messengers, breaking the

00:19:57.040 cycle of violence and trauma and giving young people some hope. We should all agree. The answer

00:20:02.660 is not to defund the police. It's to fund the police. Fund them. Fund them.

00:20:12.340 Yeah. Fund the police. That's what we support. We're Democrats. We support funding the police.

00:20:17.820 Even though we just spent two years actual, not only threatening to defund the police,

00:20:22.980 not only having AOC say abolish the police means abolish the police. It doesn't mean move money around.

00:20:27.600 It means you're actually going to get rid of the police. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, not just them,

00:20:32.360 but DAs, Democrat governors, mayors all around the country actually defunding the police. That's why

00:20:37.320 we have an historic crime surge right now. You've got murders in particular, violent crime way,

00:20:43.120 way up over the last two years because of actual Democrat policies that were already implemented.

00:20:47.920 And then Joe Biden gaslights everyone and says, we support funding the police.

00:20:50.800 No, you don't. No, you don't. Like prove it, buster. Well, no. And then all the Democrats,

00:20:58.480 they stand up there and they applaud. They haven't changed one iota of their policy. They haven't

00:21:02.700 pushed for a tough on crime bill in the Congress. Those people who were in that,

00:21:06.820 that room just there, I haven't seen a Democrat tough on crime bill anywhere in the country.

00:21:11.220 So it's just a lie. It just, they realize that voters around the country don't like it that now

00:21:16.220 the gangbangers are shooting bullets through their windows and that they know that Democrats are

00:21:20.500 directly responsible for this. And so they say, okay, guys, hey, let's get us through November.

00:21:24.860 We support funding the police, don't we? No, you don't. It's just total BS.

00:21:28.680 And then I'm not even, that's all I'm going to play of the, of the state of the union. I can't

00:21:31.700 bear it. I sat through it once. I don't need to sit through it again. All right. I did,

00:21:34.980 I did my duty to you people because I know that you didn't watch it. So I, I sat there,

00:21:40.180 I took the slings and arrows. It was a good way to get ready for this penitential season. I sat there

00:21:45.760 and I did it, but I'm not watching it again. The first 10 to 20 minutes of it though,

00:21:49.900 we're not a state of the union address. The first 10 to 20 minutes were a state of the Putin address.

00:21:57.480 I don't, did he even mention America during the first 20 minutes? I don't, I don't think so. I

00:22:01.920 was waiting for him. I said, it's the state of the NATO state of the European union.

00:22:05.920 All he was talking about was Ukraine and he didn't offer any, anything productive on Ukraine. He

00:22:10.040 didn't say, here's how we're going to end this war. Here's how we're not going to escalate and avoid

00:22:13.040 world war three. Here's how, here's what we should have done differently because very specific

00:22:17.180 Biden policies led to this moment in Ukraine, as I covered on the show some days ago.

00:22:23.900 No, he didn't talk about any of that. He just talked vaguely about this war in Ukraine. And

00:22:27.180 because the war in Ukraine is the best thing to happen to the Biden administration.

00:22:30.320 I'm damning with faint praise. He's failed on every single front,

00:22:33.360 but it's the best thing that happened. Previously, the best thing that happened to Biden was COVID

00:22:37.900 because he could blame all of his problems on COVID. But then a lot of his predictions about

00:22:41.340 COVID didn't come true. A lot of his prescriptions turned out to not work at all. And so COVID's no

00:22:46.560 longer a positive for him, even in the polls. The best thing he can do now is say, I'm a wartime

00:22:50.240 president. I'm going to avoid world war three. I'm going to stave it off for my genius state

00:22:55.500 statesmanship and diplomacy. And basically what he was using, the reason he talked about Ukraine at

00:23:01.500 the top of the speech was he knew that people were going to tune out eventually. And he, he wanted to

00:23:05.420 avoid talking about what he was actually doing at home because it was such a failure. So he just

00:23:10.080 basically gave a news report on what was happening in, in Ukraine. But the situation is growing worse

00:23:16.060 there day by day. And Biden is doing absolutely nothing off to stable, to stave off what could

00:23:20.660 be potentially a much larger, potentially nuclear war. If you have not noticed already, the Daily

00:23:27.020 Wire does not stop growing. I walked through the hallways here. There are 75 new people every hour,

00:23:32.760 basically. It's hard to keep up. Well, we've got a new show, Crane and Company. It is just more

00:23:37.400 evidence that Daily Wire is going to keep on chugging along. Crane and Company is a daily sports show

00:23:41.780 hosted by former athletes and coaches, Jake Crane, Blaine Crane, and David Cohn. They are

00:23:47.000 joining forces with the Daily Wire to bring you all the sports you love with none of the woke nonsense

00:23:51.080 attached. When you tune into Crane and Company, you will be getting in-depth sports analysis,

00:23:55.380 informative interviews, predictions, and wagers, and constant live chat engagement with,

00:23:59.880 with the listeners. Tune in live today, 3 p.m. Eastern every weekday at dailywire.com

00:24:05.600 or on YouTube. You can also listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts or the platform of your

00:24:10.500 choice. I would really recommend you go and subscribe on Apple Podcasts right now because

00:24:14.680 the show is jumping up the charts. It's really going to irritate ESPN. So let's, let's go do it.

00:24:19.640 Give them five-star review. Also, no book is too controversial for the Daily Wire to take on. That

00:24:24.500 is why we've started our own publishing wing called DW Books. We're excited to be publishing 12

00:24:29.560 Seconds in the Dark by Sergeant Mattingly, the true story of what really happened the night of the

00:24:34.600 Breonna Taylor shooting. Mattingly is a 20-year police veteran. He takes readers inside his

00:24:39.300 department's response and debunks the lies that have been recklessly shared with the public. Take a

00:24:45.140 listen. It was very chaotic. It was very quick. Instantly, I knew I was shot. Breonna Taylor,

00:24:51.260 she was caught in the crossfire of those bullets. As soon as your brain's registering, it's already

00:24:56.380 over. The media got so many things wrong in this case, saying we had the wrong apartment. Her name

00:25:01.580 wasn't on the warrant. She was shot and killed in her sleep, in her bed. These are lies. This is not

00:25:06.820 true. And all the while, you're hearing all these outside influences from athletes and Oprah and Ellen

00:25:13.240 DeGeneres and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. All those people coming and attacking you, putting

00:25:18.700 your name on their account, saying he should be in prison. All these things that they have no idea

00:25:22.660 what they're talking about. But they have such influence. The more we attack police for doing

00:25:28.140 their job, the less good qualified police you're going to have. When you read 12 Seconds in the Dark,

00:25:34.160 you will find out the truth of what really happened the night of the Breonna Taylor raid.

00:25:41.820 In a world where voices like his are censored, this story is incredibly important. We're so

00:25:46.760 grateful to have this brave truth teller on board. The book's out March 15th. It's available for

00:25:51.540 pre-order now on Amazon or anywhere you buy your books online. So get your pre-ordered copy today,

00:25:56.480 because I can promise you it will sell out. We'll be right back with a lot more.

00:26:04.160 Joe Biden did not stave off World War III during his State of the Union. He staved off my alertness

00:26:18.440 during the State of the Union. He brought me to sleep during most of the State of the Union.

00:26:23.060 I did get some relaxation for that hour. But the situation in Ukraine remains very, very dangerous.

00:26:29.480 And it's getting more dangerous because the head of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy,

00:26:35.160 is now applying for membership in the European Union. He's been applying for membership in the

00:26:40.660 European Union for a long time. Actually, his aggressive application to join the European Union

00:26:45.480 might be one of the reasons that this war broke out in the first place. The war is the fault of 0.84

00:26:51.640 Vladimir Putin. There's no question about that. He is the aggressive party. He's the invading party.

00:26:55.440 But wars are complicated. And foreign policy is very complicated. And one of the events that led

00:27:03.460 to this moment was the aggressive turn of Ukraine away from Russia toward the West, toward NATO,

00:27:09.680 toward the European Union. So Zelenskyy says, okay, our country is being invaded. We want to join

00:27:14.120 Europe immediately. The European Parliament just voted to advance Ukraine's petition to join the EU.

00:27:21.860 They voted 637 in favor, 13 against, 26 chose to abstain.

00:27:30.960 So this is going to be my least popular opinion today. But you know, look, I'm not going to pander.

00:27:35.640 I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not just going to say things to get the applause of the crowds.

00:27:39.180 I'm going to give you the truth, darn it. And the truth is this. Ukraine should not be in the European 0.98

00:27:43.740 Union. It's a terrible idea. It's a terrible idea. And frankly, if Ukraine had not been pushing for 0.98

00:27:49.240 this, it's not just Ukraine's fault. It's not even maybe primarily Ukraine's fault. It's Europe's

00:27:53.680 fault. It's NATO's fault. It's America's fault in some ways that Ukraine has been pushing for this. 0.91

00:28:00.500 As a result of that push, the situation in Ukraine is much more dangerous. As a result of that push,

00:28:06.440 which was pushed almost exclusively by Democrat politicians, the situation in America, in Europe,

00:28:12.940 in the West generally is much more dangerous today. What do I mean by that? Foreign policy is not so

00:28:20.700 simple as us versus them. Us good, them bad. We take over more territory. They lose territory.

00:28:31.040 Everything's hunky-dory. Foreign policy is not that great. I totally understand why Ukraine wants to 0.50

00:28:38.000 join the European Union. If Ukraine joins the European Union, Ukraine's younger citizens in 0.97

00:28:43.400 particular can leave Ukraine. And that's what a lot of it is about. They want to leave Ukraine because 0.80

00:28:47.480 Ukraine does not have a great economy, does not have great social prospects. So like a lot of people 0.97

00:28:52.280 in Eastern Europe, they want to flee their countries and go to the more prosperous Western states and

00:28:57.460 before Brexit so that they could go to the United Kingdom even and be wealthier and have a more

00:29:04.640 prosperous life. That's what a lot of it is about. Beyond that, Vladimir Putin is an autocrat and a

00:29:10.380 bully and a jerk. And so Ukraine does not want to be too closely tied to Putin. They want to be more 1.00

00:29:17.680 closely, some people in Ukraine want to be more closely tied to the West. And the West has welcomed 0.95

00:29:22.700 this and encouraged this. There is such a thing as buffer states, at least there used to be.

00:29:29.820 You know, I'll give you another good example of this. During this war that's broken out in Ukraine,

00:29:34.180 Switzerland did something really unusual. Switzerland took a side. Switzerland famously

00:29:41.840 remains neutral during wars. Not even the Nazis can get Switzerland to stop remaining neutral.

00:29:48.560 Switzerland has survived for so long as a unified political community in no small part because they

00:29:55.140 remain neutral. Why do they remain neutral? In part, it's because of their geography. In part,

00:29:59.240 it's because of their history. Neutral states and buffer states can be a very good thing. They can

00:30:06.300 help the world order. Do we think it's a really great idea for two rival powers, NATO slash the

00:30:14.900 European Union slash America because it's American leadership, right up totally sharing a huge border 0.61

00:30:21.980 in really crucial areas with Russia, its own power, which is not part of Europe, which is not part of 0.57

00:30:28.420 NATO, which is not part of the West as we understand it? Do we think it's a good idea for two really 0.99

00:30:34.140 strong rival powers to just be totally up against one another everywhere all along the border? No,

00:30:41.080 I think that's a dumb idea. That historically doesn't work out very well. That's why there's such a thing 0.97

00:30:45.320 as buffer states. And for buffer states to remain relatively safe, they've got to play both sides.

00:30:51.840 They've got to maintain decent enough relationships with both of the rival powers. That's what Ukraine

00:30:58.200 had been doing for a long time. Then the West believed leading up to 2013, 2014, that Ukraine was

00:31:04.320 a little too friendly to Russia or not sufficiently friendly to Europe. So what the Western powers did

00:31:10.880 was encourage protests and actually fund protests in Ukraine to oust the somewhat neutral, slightly

00:31:20.740 more pro-Russian government to install a more pro-Western government. Then in 2017, you saw a big

00:31:27.740 push by Ukraine to join NATO and the EU that has only increased in 2020 and 2021. And now you see war

00:31:35.760 break out. Why would war break out? Because yes, Putin is a jerk. He's a terrible guy. He kills

00:31:40.600 journalists. He's a horrible person. Vladimir Putin also sees that Russia has interests and is very 1.00

00:31:46.780 much not in Russia's interests for Ukraine to be a full-on EU, European NATO member state.

00:31:54.920 Vladimir Putin says it's an intolerable security threat. Whether or not that's true or not,

00:31:58.900 he might be exaggerating things. But in terms of Russia's interest, this is really bad.

00:32:03.160 Had Ukraine remained basically a buffer state, I seriously doubt there would be a war there right now.

00:32:09.280 I don't think Putin would have invaded as far as he did. I mean, frankly, his invasion of Crimea came

00:32:14.180 as a result of what happened in 2013 and 2014 in Ukraine. Would he have even invaded Crimea

00:32:20.680 had the government not changed then? I'm not so sure. Whether he would have or not, I don't think

00:32:26.180 you would have seen this full-scale invasion right now. I made this point much earlier about a week ago

00:32:32.060 when the war broke out. I said, if you want to understand your enemy, if you want to do well in war,

00:32:37.020 or if you want to have an advantage in war, you need to understand your enemy. It's not enough

00:32:40.780 to say, Putin Hitler, Putin bad. I hate Putin. He's crazy. He's a crazy person. And he's just 0.99

00:32:45.760 doing crazy things, so there's no way to understand him. Yeah, maybe he's got some problems, but I think

00:32:50.060 he is also largely a rational actor who is pursuing the national interest of Russia. And if you want to

00:32:56.380 maintain world peace, you've got to balance those interests. And just having NATO and the European

00:33:01.540 Union gobble up everything is not necessarily the most prudent strategy. Well, what about Ukraine? 0.99

00:33:07.900 They don't want to be tied to this lunatic Putin. They want to join Europe. Yeah, maybe they do. 0.73

00:33:12.600 But maybe that's not the most prudent thing for them to do. Buffer states are a good thing.

00:33:18.280 Yoram Hazony, the Israeli philosopher, pointed this out yesterday. He said, Jordan has remained

00:33:24.140 basically neutral. They've acted as a kind of mediator between Israel and the Arab world for

00:33:30.380 many decades. That's a good thing. It's actually kind of nice to have those buffers. It's nice to

00:33:35.480 have states where the great powers don't feel threatened and they can actually talk to one

00:33:41.460 another. But our leadership will not engage in that kind of sophisticated. It's not even that

00:33:47.540 sophisticated. It's kind of basic thinking. Today, it might be considered sophisticated. It used to be

00:33:52.020 considered elementary. They refused to do that. So Nancy Pelosi, she goes on television. She goes 1.00

00:33:57.500 on MSNBC and she says, you know the reason for this? You know what led to this invasion? It's

00:34:02.960 because Putin had COVID and his brain is all foggy. I don't know what is the matter there. I've talked

00:34:10.520 to heads of state who have met with him and they just take at face value the evil that he is putting

00:34:17.080 forth as something that we have to deal with. They're not making a diagnosis of his health.

00:34:22.380 Some people say he has cancer and some people say he has brain fog from COVID. Other people just think

00:34:31.700 he's a complete raging bully. But whatever it is, the people of Ukraine are paying the price for it.

00:34:39.240 Now, the only true thing she said there, well, a couple of true. Yes, he's a bully. Yes, 0.99

00:34:45.160 he's a bad guy. The people of Ukraine are paying the price. Does Vladimir Putin have cancer? I don't

00:34:52.380 know. Maybe. I'm not his doctor. Does Vladimir Putin, has he been feeling a little under the weather

00:34:56.700 since COVID? Yeah, maybe. I don't know. He didn't invade Ukraine because of brain fog from COVID.

00:35:04.520 You simple headed woman. You, oh my, this is why we got into this mess is because of this kind of 1.00

00:35:12.500 stupid sophomoric thinking about foreign policy. Vladimir Putin believes that it is in his interest. 1.00

00:35:21.200 He doesn't just have brain fog. He doesn't just have cancer. He doesn't just have some personality

00:35:25.380 disorder. He has interests. Okay. And mostly Democrats, mostly liberal politicians in the West

00:35:33.880 decided to recklessly upend all of those interests in Ukraine. And, and they might say, well, it was in

00:35:41.660 the interest of the Ukrainian people. Oh, is it? I don't think that bombs raining down on Kiev is in

00:35:46.020 the interest of the Ukrainian people. I don't think that needlessly provoking the other still

00:35:50.940 significant nuclear power on the other side of Ukraine is necessarily in the Ukrainians' interests.

00:35:56.760 I don't think that it is in the Europeans' interests. I don't think it's in America's interests. I think 1.00

00:36:02.020 that we're on the brink of World War III potentially. I don't think that's in anybody's

00:36:06.460 interests. Ironically, the only person whose interests this really seems to serve is Vladimir

00:36:10.980 Putin, who at the end of this very well may have greatly expanded his country and conquered the

00:36:15.500 breadbasket of Europe. That's what you get for your simple headed, compassionate, empathetic,

00:36:21.080 humanitarian policy in Ukraine is Ukraine doesn't exist. Countless civilians are killed.

00:36:26.440 Europe loses an important buffer state and Russia expands. Smart move. Really, really smart stuff, 1.00

00:36:32.080 guys. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Not that I'm convinced that the,

00:36:36.680 the Western liberals who have been pushing for this policy necessarily have good intentions.

00:36:40.720 I've got the funniest fact check I have ever read in my entire life. Okay. So here's the fact check

00:36:47.960 from USA Today. The fact check is about a claim that Ukraine not only had obviously been cozying up to

00:36:56.020 the West for many years before this invasion, but that specifically they'd been cozying up to liberal

00:37:02.960 politicians in the West because liberal politicians are the ruling elite in the West. And specifically,

00:37:08.140 they'd been cozying up to the Clintons. So here's the claim. You probably have seen it going around

00:37:11.900 Facebook or Twitter or Instagram. The claim is that Ukraine was the largest donor to the Clinton

00:37:19.600 Foundation from 1999 to 2014. Okay. And USA Today takes us up. Here's the claim. Similar rumors about

00:37:27.860 Ukrainian financial donations to the Clinton Foundation have gained traction on Twitter.

00:37:33.260 Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene promoted an iteration of this claim during a February 19th

00:37:37.580 rally. Fact Ukraine was the single largest donor to the Clinton Foundation. It's gained a hundred likes,

00:37:43.820 but the post misrepresents a chart from 2015, which ranks individual contributions to the foundation

00:37:51.140 based on nationality. As factcheck.org reported in 2019, the Clinton Foundation hasn't received donations

00:37:57.220 from the Ukrainian government. I'm going to pause it right there. The post never said that the Clinton

00:38:02.340 Foundation got money from the Ukrainian government. By the way, Democrat elite political operatives have

00:38:10.540 gotten money from the Ukrainian government. When you think of Hunter Biden, for instance, has a no-show job

00:38:14.860 with a state energy company, Burisma in Ukraine. That is the Ukrainian government giving money to

00:38:21.500 Democrats. But okay, let's put that aside. The post never says the Ukrainian government was the largest

00:38:27.780 owner to the, it said Ukraine, Ukraine, the people of Ukraine, Ukraine through its various channels

00:38:35.440 was the largest donor to the Clinton Foundation. USA Today reached out to the social medias who shared this

00:38:41.520 claim for comment. Do you want to recant your claims, people? Your stupid, crazy conspiracy theory?

00:38:47.680 Wait a second, hold on. The Wall Street Journal, oh, hold on. So the headline says the post's misused reports 1.00

00:38:55.500 on individual donations. How do they misuse it? The Wall Street Journal published a report in 2015 on individual

00:38:59.880 donations over $50,000 made to the Clinton Foundation, 1999 to 2014. The article included a chart listing

00:39:06.360 the top foreign donors. Ukraine tops the list. But the graph doesn't support the claim in the social

00:39:12.500 media posts. Hold on. The social media post says from 1999 to 2014, Ukraine top donor to the Clinton

00:39:19.240 Foundation. The fact check says in this chart from 1999 to 2014, Ukraine tops the list.

00:39:28.180 But the graph doesn't support the claim. That is literally the claim. That is, in those exact words,

00:39:35.440 that is the claim. But no, fact check. No, because the graph doesn't reflect donations from the

00:39:41.560 governments, which the posts aren't really focused on. So therefore, you know, it's just, yeah,

00:39:47.340 Ukrainians contributed $10 million to the Clinton Foundation. Don't forget, by the way, Ukraine's a

00:39:52.260 relatively poor country. Where did this $10 million come from? I don't know. Do you think some of it

00:39:57.560 might have come from kind of dodgy, oligarchic sources in Ukraine? Oh, I don't know. I don't

00:40:01.900 know. I'm just asking questions. Ukrainians contributed $10 million more than any other

00:40:06.220 nationality. Most of that money came from Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Viktor Pinchuk.

00:40:12.580 Viktor Pinchuk's foundation, based in Kiev, donated $8.6 million to the foundation between 2009 and 2013.

00:40:21.660 The article notes that Pinchuk has close government ties, and he served as a member of Ukrainian

00:40:27.380 parliament from 1998. Oh, and sorry, he's the son-in-law of former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma.

00:40:33.180 This, your fact check is proving the posts to be 100% completely correct. Therefore, these liberal

00:40:40.900 fact checkers, quote unquote, rate it. 17 million Pinocchios, total lies, fake news. Fake news, censor

00:40:46.500 anyone who reports on the truth between the Democrats' crooked relationship between Ukrainian

00:40:53.320 oligarchs and crooked politicians here in the United States. Fact check, fact check, totally false, 0.99

00:41:00.300 totally. All the facts are true, but the fact check is false. The reason, by the way, that liberals

00:41:07.620 post these ridiculous fact checks, where the headlines is fact check, Republican claim totally false, 0.85

00:41:13.760 false, fake news. And then in the article, they admit that the facts of the matter were totally

00:41:20.360 right. In the article, they note that there are things the Republicans actually said were totally

00:41:24.860 right. The reason they do that is because these fact checking organizations have relationships with

00:41:30.220 all the big social media companies. And the social media companies rely on the fact checkers to

00:41:35.460 determine what will be promoted or censored in the algorithm. So even if the fact checkers,

00:41:40.820 quote unquote, have even the modicum of integrity to admit that the claims are true in the article,

00:41:45.280 as long as the final verdict is that this is fake news, it will be censored. As this sort of

00:41:52.020 information has been now for years. I tell you though, even though the Clintons have a very crooked

00:42:00.060 relationship with the Ukrainian government, and even though Democrat politicians in many ways are the

00:42:05.640 single most responsible group of people for leading up to the geopolitical situation in which Vladimir

00:42:12.400 Putin invaded Ukraine. Even for all of that, I, in some ways, long for the Clintons. I long for the

00:42:19.140 days. I have nostalgia for the Clintons. And part of that is because at least the Clintons are smart.

00:42:24.280 At least the Clintons are relatively competent people.

00:42:27.680 Crooked, probably led to a much worse world now that we're, but at least they were sort of 0.98

00:42:36.080 intelligent. The same cannot be said for our current ruling class. Kamala Harris went on a radio show 1.00

00:42:44.920 just yesterday. She was asked to explain the situation in Ukraine and she, she did the best she

00:42:50.380 could. If you're watching any level of news, even social media, you're seeing everything that's going

00:42:54.960 on right now in the Ukraine. Break it down in layman's terms for people who don't understand

00:42:59.140 what's going on and how can this directly affect the people of the United States?

00:43:03.040 So Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger 0.64

00:43:12.600 country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine.

00:43:18.460 So basically that's wrong. So the man said, break it down in layman's terms. He did not say,

00:43:28.700 explain this to a toddler. I don't know. Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations. I don't know

00:43:37.840 what Kamala Harris thinks of the listeners to this radio program, but I bet they've probably heard of

00:43:46.180 Russia before. I, I have enough respect for the listeners to this random radio. They probably know

00:43:52.140 like what a country is, you know, and what Russia is and layman's terms, darling. What does it mean?

00:44:00.000 Why did it start? What can we do about it now? Who are the political players? You don't need to go

00:44:05.260 into some high political theory. You don't need to be quoting Metternich to, to do this, but you can at

00:44:13.000 least treat people like they're respectable adults who know what the nation of Russia is. But Kamala

00:44:19.560 Harris can't do that. And frankly, I suspect that this explanation pretty much encapsulates her

00:44:23.940 understanding of the situation. Frankly, this is a little bit more sophisticated than most Democrats

00:44:29.580 have, have seemed to demonstrate in their understanding of the Ukraine situation in recent

00:44:34.860 years. Ukraine country, Russia country, share border. If, if Democrats had known that and

00:44:42.660 admitted that for the years leading up to this invasion, very likely it wouldn't have happened.

00:44:47.340 And maybe they wouldn't have been so aggressive about one, milking that country for all the 0.99

00:44:52.440 resources it's got, sending all of their politicians, kids there to, to get money out of the crooked

00:44:59.540 energy companies with obviously tacit promises that they're going to support Ukraine militarily,

00:45:05.320 financially, politically have them. Oh yeah. Oh, Ukraine, you want to join Europe? Oh, that sounds

00:45:10.380 great. You know, my, my son Hunter needs a job. Yeah, no, it sounds great though. And I, Joe Biden,

00:45:15.340 am the point person on Ukraine right now. And oh yeah, you want to join NATO? Wow. That sounds,

00:45:19.780 that'd be pretty nice for you, huh? If you join NATO. Yeah. Well maybe talk to my son Hunter. Maybe

00:45:24.020 he'll work out the details for you. Hey, have you heard of the Clinton Global Initiative? You heard of the

00:45:27.840 Clinton Foundation? Yeah, they could use, they're putting on a few fundraisers. They could sure use

00:45:31.800 $10 million if you've got it. And oh yeah, no, and oh, okay, that's great. Oh, we'd love to support

00:45:38.080 you. We have a great relationship. Let's deepen this friendship. What has that led to? That's led

00:45:43.380 to right now the Russian annihilation of that country. Great job, guys. Great job. Speaking of 1.00

00:45:50.100 laymen, speaking of taking complex subjects and trying to boil them down, Saturday Night Live is taking on

00:45:56.220 COVID. And it is at once the most gratifying and infuriating skit I've ever seen.

00:46:01.800 I think the biggest mistake the administration made was not providing more testing. But the UK

00:46:08.500 had done tons of testing and had even more COVID. Good. Well, at least Biden finally sent out all

00:46:15.600 those tests over Christmas. You mean the two tests for a family of eight that froze in the mail?

00:46:21.220 Good. Okay, well, at least we have the CDC. I mean, they haven't always been perfect,

00:46:27.420 but the science changed. How does science change? When I make a mistake at work, I don't get to say

00:46:33.960 the science changed. At least we had outdoor dining. Oh, you mean when they built a smaller

00:46:42.060 restaurant in the street? How is that outdoors? Oh, my God. Look, I went to a child's birthday party,

00:46:48.820 self-careful, and they did gymnastics in masks. Don't. And then they went into another room and took

00:46:56.800 off their masks to eat pizza. This is the end of me. So did they really need the mask or no?

00:47:05.260 Did any of us ever need the mask?

00:47:10.800 No!

00:47:11.260 Ha ha ha ha. Ha ha. All those things that we made you do for two years, that we, the actual elite in

00:47:22.480 America, the entertainment elite, the news media elite, ha ha ha. It was all dumb. Ha ha ha. And 1.00

00:47:28.800 all you conservatives who said it was dumb from the beginning, and we called you Nazis and killers 0.99

00:47:33.320 and murderers and took away your rights and censored you and tried to take your kids away from you in 0.99

00:47:38.180 some cases. Ha ha ha. You were right. Ha ha ha. Moving on. Ha ha ha ha. No, no. You don't get to

00:47:45.120 make that joke. That's not your joke. Sometimes you hear people say, that's not your word. That's

00:47:49.980 our word. You can't use that. That's not your joke, libs. That's our joke. That's our political

00:47:55.860 movement that we've been trying to do for two years. And you people in particular, on Saturday Night

00:48:00.960 Live, you have been so vicious, so malicious in your persecution of anyone who didn't want to wear the 0.98

00:48:07.580 dumb mask or take the Fauci ouchie shot that's so super duper safe and effective and it totally 0.99

00:48:13.660 stops transmission and infection of the virus. Except whoopsie daisy, take your fifth one because 1.00

00:48:17.580 the first four didn't work that well. You don't get, you don't, and they're just going to move on

00:48:23.060 and they're just going to, well, okay, it's state of the union. Okay, COVID's over. And we're just going

00:48:27.060 to move on to the next thing. This is a midterm election year. Please, please, please, people

00:48:33.000 do not forget the state of our union is not particularly strong right now. We may still

00:48:38.620 have it in our power to turn things around. Don't miss the opportunity. I'm Michael Knowles.
