00:00:00.000 I'm not sure if you guys have heard about Monique Lagrange, but she is a former Catholic school board trustee in Red Deer, Alberta, who is right now having to sue just to be able to do her job.
00:00:12.000 She was about seven or eight months ago removed from her position as a Catholic school board trustee for having the audacity to share a meme, a meme that other people on the board did not agree with and the woke crowd freaked out about.
00:00:25.540 And I think this situation really demonstrates just the level of corruption of the school boards across Canada, as well as the school systems themselves, because this is a ridiculous story.
00:00:37.540 And it kind of took place before Premier Daniel Smith in Alberta came out in favor of parental rights and Pure Polyev did the same thing.
00:00:44.980 Yet I don't think Monique Lagrange has gotten the due respect that she deserves for having been attacked and standing up to the woke bullies back in the day. 0.99
00:00:54.760 In fact, the Minister of Education in Alberta even ended up throwing her under the bus over the memes, sight unseen, not knowing what was going on, just going along with the reporting.
00:01:05.240 So although Premier Daniel Smith in Alberta is doing the right thing now, I think there needs to be a rehabilitation of Monique Lagrange, a big fat apology.
00:01:15.040 And I think a lot more Canadians just need to know who she is because I think she's dealt with the situation very well.
00:01:19.900 So the Democracy Fund is helping her in her lawsuit to get back on the board. 1.00
00:01:24.460 But this was the meme is next to a picture of her that she was removed from the board for.
00:01:30.060 So she posts picture on like Facebook or Twitter saying brainwashing is brainwashing with kids waving swastika Nazi flags in Germany next to kids waving pride progress flags in a classroom, presumably somewhere in North America.
00:01:44.320 And although maybe that's not something I would share, it's just not my style. Everyone knows what she's saying.
00:01:49.260 We can pretend not to know what she's saying in order to freak out saying, oh, does she think progressive people in Canada are like the Nazis, literally?
00:01:56.580 Obviously not. The point Monique Lagrange is obviously trying to make is that making kids basically wave the flag of and promote an ideology they do not understand is not all right.
00:02:08.880 It wouldn't be all right to push any ideology in the classroom and have kids basically parrot what that belief system is, having no clue what it is, not having the capacity to understand it without parents present to be able to say whether or not that's something they want their kids engaging in.
00:02:23.700 And no, the pride progress flag is not just an idea of inclusivity. It doesn't represent that.
00:02:29.640 It obviously represents a lot of left-wing cultural values. It's not just about tolerance. It's about more so more left-wing ideology in like society.
00:02:40.080 It's promoting equity, not actual equality.
00:02:43.620 So Monique Lagrange was then struggled basically on the Catholic school board in Red Deer and either made to apologize or have to go some sort of like diversity and, you know, empathy training and whatnot. 0.94
00:02:58.160 And she rightfully refused to do that because that's ridiculous. 0.82
00:03:01.760 So you do not give in to woke bullies or they will come back to bully you more. 0.99
00:03:06.420 And so now she has taken the legal route as I think she is right to do.
00:03:11.300 And so the Democracy Fund and her are having to sue so that she can go back onto the board because effectively the board voted to vacate her from the, as a school board trustee, 0.93
00:03:22.800 over a stupid beam that should not have gotten anybody in trouble, but they don't like her.
00:03:29.140 So they're effectively, they're effectively trying to do a work around democracy so that the people who voted for her lose their representation. 0.99
00:03:36.580 But yeah, this, this is the TVF's reporting on it.
00:03:39.580 You can go read it in detail if you want.
00:03:41.740 I will be linking it in the description below.
00:03:44.620 And if you want to fund her initiative, suing the Catholic school board in Red Deer, I would like, I'd promote you to do that.
00:03:52.480 That'd be a good thing to do.
00:03:53.780 But this is why I think that more than just our premiers and our conservative party leaders, you know, Danielle Smith,
00:04:01.900 Pierre Polyev, you know, if you're New Brunswick, you have a very good premier with Blaine Higgs.
00:04:06.020 Not only do they need to stand for parental rights and be able to like push back on these woke school boards and gender theory in the classroom, 1.00
00:04:13.660 but we need people like Monique Lagrange promoted in society as people who did the right thing.
00:04:19.520 I don't, I don't want what to happen is that a bunch of people end up getting destroyed by the woke left.
00:04:25.080 And then we don't actually come around to support them because Monique Lagrange is somebody that way more people in Canada should know. 0.92
00:04:31.940 She actually fought the woke left. 0.99
00:04:33.580 She got basically clobbered for it.
00:04:35.580 And now while she is suing to get back on the board, 1.00
00:04:37.860 I find it's kind of crickets for the most part in people coming back to help her out or to even say nice things about her.
00:04:45.160 And so what, and I, there's so many conservatives, especially again, the minister of education in Alberta.
00:04:50.220 I'm friendly with them, but he messed up on this.
00:04:52.880 You don't attack your own people when they're being attacked by the left.
00:04:56.860 This is a classic example of something that the, I would say, I guess, professor, but he mostly does stuff not within his field of expertise, but he is an expert.
00:05:06.980 But James Lindsay talks about when someone is in a struggle session with these cultural Marxist radicals,
00:05:13.060 and they are saying that this person did something wrong, this person did something bad, they're a terrible person, they're awful.
00:05:18.240 Are you going to condemn them?
00:05:19.320 Are you going to condemn them?
00:05:20.380 You don't then say, well, there's so many people mad at them.
00:05:24.260 They must have done something wrong.
00:05:25.500 I'm going to say whatever they said has no place in our province.
00:05:29.100 It was probably over beyond the pale.
00:05:31.220 That's not language we can accept.
00:05:32.560 That's not memes that we can accept.
00:05:35.060 Don't do that.
00:05:36.040 When you're not in the situation of being unfairly attacked, sight unseen, do not condemn the person.
00:05:41.920 If they did something actually wrong, like it was actually objectively gross and, or whatever,
00:05:47.840 like they said something legitimately horrible, then you can maybe either not step in and defend them,
00:05:54.280 or you can say that they did something wrong.
00:05:56.060 There's such a mentality among conservatives in Canada that if enough people are mad at them,
00:06:00.980 we better just throw them under the bus anyways, because at least the left will stop freaking out. 0.90
00:06:05.820 They'll come after somebody else, because you've proven that you're weak.
00:06:08.640 This is how Aaron O'Toole lost the federal election in 2021.
00:06:12.540 Every single important issue of that election, when the left pushed him, he said, I'm sorry.
00:06:17.840 I'll basically pull back on that one.
00:06:19.960 I will betray my own base so that you guys will stop protesting me, so that the media will stop asking me hard questions
00:06:25.420 that for some reason I'm unable to answer.
00:06:28.320 So that's what we need to do in Canada as conservatives.
00:06:31.160 When somebody, a good person is being attacked by the left, you defend that person.
00:06:35.240 Or you might as well join the Liberal Party, because if you basically gut your own conservatives,
00:06:40.720 you will eventually get to the point where you have no allies, and the only way of persisting on in Canada
00:06:45.780 is to join the Liberals.
00:06:47.560 We are way ahead in the polls in all the provinces across the country on a federal basis.
00:06:52.140 Right now is the time to not just sort of beat the left in the next election,
00:06:56.320 but take back ideological ground in Canada and make it unacceptable to be a woke bully
00:07:01.840 and actually punish people for their woke bullying tactics.
00:07:05.460 I hope people understand this.
00:07:07.620 If you want to go support Monique Lagrange, in the description below, you can click on the story
00:07:12.600 about what's going on and how she's having to sue to get back onto the board.
00:07:16.220 It's very inspiring what she did, especially because she's doing this while very few people
00:07:20.380 are even covering what's happening.
00:07:22.180 So she's not doing it for attention.
00:07:23.760 She maybe got five seconds of attention, but she's just fighting on in her own little battle here. 1.00
00:07:29.340 And school boards do not pay very much.
00:07:31.220 She's not trying to get her big payday. 1.00
00:07:33.000 If anything, she's probably working way more and paying way more into getting back onto the board 0.98
00:07:37.960 than she'll ever make.
00:07:39.460 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
00:07:41.940 I always want to just plug the fact that I, Wyatt Claypool, am running for the Calgary Signal Hill
00:07:46.440 Conservative Party nomination here.
00:07:48.540 If you live on the west side of Calgary, this is what the new riding boundaries are going to look like
00:07:52.540 after April.
00:07:53.540 So buy a membership for the federal Conservative Party.
00:07:56.260 Vote for me in this riding so we can have real conservatives representing strong conservative ridings.
00:08:01.560 My website's in the description below, wyattclaypool.com.
00:08:04.540 And then I also have the normal legal fund for myself and the National Telegraph linked
00:08:08.700 in the Give, Send, Go link in the description below.
00:08:11.620 But if you have any available money to donate to anybody, I would say to donate to the Democracy
00:08:16.520 Fund for Monique Lagrange's case right now, unless you don't want to donate to that.
00:08:21.240 You want to donate to the legal fund.
00:08:23.040 Do whatever you want.
00:08:23.680 Basically do whatever you want.
00:08:25.100 But yeah, so that should be it for me today, guys.
00:08:27.800 And I'll be back tomorrow with more videos.
