00:00:25.940 publications, but I can assure you the thing we are about to talk about today actually happened,
00:00:31.940 and there are people defending it. Here's a headline from the CBC that really buries the lead.
00:00:37.840 It says, former BC school trustee ordered to pay $750,000 for hate speech discrimination,
00:00:46.060 human rights tribunal. Yeah, this is not hate speech, and it's not discrimination that he engaged in.
00:00:53.680 He just didn't believe in gender theory. I'm not burying the lead there. Literally,
00:00:59.160 he just does not believe that there were more than two sexes, and he was fined $750,000 by the BC
00:01:06.600 Human Rights Tribunal. This is absolutely absurd, but we will be getting into it in just a second.

00:01:49.340 are willing to say, it's so funny watching the BC conservative leadership race. They basically wait
00:01:55.420 for Dallas Brody to say something, and then seven hours later, they say like 40% of what she said,
00:02:01.200 and they leave the door open to basically completely abandon the stance that they took later on, but
00:02:06.800 we'll get to that in just a little bit here. Let's read through the CBC, because I find it kind of
00:02:13.420 is, you know, fitting for the dystopian energy of this story that we are going to read about it from
00:02:18.720 Canada's public broadcaster. Here we go. Here, and this is the man who was, who was fined, Barry
00:02:26.240 Neufeld. He was a former Chilliwack school board trustee, a very good one, by the way. Here, the article
00:02:31.760 reads, the BC Human Rights Tribunal has ordered former Chilliwack school trustee Barry Neufeld to pay
00:02:38.500 $750,000 for violating the Human Rights Code by publishing hate speech and discriminatory content
00:02:45.620 against 2x LGBTQ plus people. Quote, Mr. Neufeld invoked negative and insidious stereotypes of
00:02:53.420 LGBTQ people, especially trans people, which deny their inherent dignity and in some cases reflected
00:03:00.440 the hallmarks of hate against them as a groups. The tribunal said in a decision Wednesday. So even the
00:03:06.280 tribunal themselves, by the way, the idea of a hate crime is stupid. Being hateful is not a crime.
00:03:13.220 You should you be hateful? No, you should not be. You can disagree with someone fundamentally,
00:03:17.520 and you should try and maintain your composure and be nice no matter what. But being hateful is not a
00:03:23.480 crime. I think that there are many things in Canada that are criminalized as like speech crimes that I
00:03:30.100 think should not be. I won't even want to call them hate crimes. I think you can believe in fundamentally
00:03:34.820 terrible, counterfactual things. And it should not be a crime. But even in this statement here,
00:03:42.640 they say in some cases, what he said reflected the hallmarks of hate against them as a group.
00:03:48.220 And for that, for that subjective interpretation of what Barry Neufeld was saying, you are going to
00:03:54.920 fine him nearly a million dollars. What? You are not allowed to disagree with gender theory,
00:04:01.420 apparently. Or else that could be interpreted as hate. And they might interpret that as you needing
00:04:06.880 to give someone $750,000. Absurd. Below, we're going to keep reading on. Neufeld was one of the loudest
00:04:15.580 critics against the BC government's move in 2017, directing school boards to update codes of conduct to
00:04:21.300 address bullying based on SOGI or sexual orientation and gender identity, according to the tribunal's
00:04:27.580 decision. Quote, for five years, he publicly denigrated LGBTQ people and teachers and associated
00:04:35.000 them with the worst forms of child abuse, said the tribunal members, adding that the effect was
00:04:40.140 discriminatory work environment, was a discriminatory work environment for 2SLGBTQ plus teachers in the
00:04:46.380 district. Neufeld does not respond to CBC News' request for comment by publication deadline.
00:04:52.020 The complaint was brought to the tribunal by the Chilliwack Teachers Association and BC Teachers
00:04:58.060 Federation and on behalf of their members who identify as LGBTQ. What is this? Sorry, just the
00:05:06.440 teachers union in Chilliwack and for the province in general is just bringing a lawsuit, a complaint
00:05:13.300 against Barry Neufeld because he said something on Facebook they didn't like. Do I get to sue people
00:05:19.760 who don't speak favorably about me all the time then? Is that considered hateful if they don't
00:05:24.900 endorse me as a human being? This is insane. The tribunal's decision noted it used the, sorry,
00:05:34.780 the tribunal's decision noted it used the LGBTQ term in its decision as set out in the association's
00:05:40.780 initial complaint but did not intend to erase or overlook the breadth of sexual and gender diversity.
00:05:45.780 Wow. Oh my goodness. They even had to clarify that we didn't have the 2 and the plus and all the other
00:05:52.100 things on the acronym because we are going by the official acronym that we were previously using but
00:05:58.220 we're not trying to be discriminatory. What a parody of an organization having to apologize
00:06:03.100 in the middle of this entire thing for not using the full absurd acronym. How about we just be people?
00:06:10.420 How about we stop having stupid acronyms? That's too much for these people. That's not beyond parody
00:06:15.560 enough for these people. Neufeld's publications included Facebook posts, a speech at a gathering,
00:06:22.680 a widely circulated email, and comments at a school board meeting and in the media. The tribunal found
00:06:27.880 six of his publications were likely to expose trans gay and lesbian people to hatred or contempt based
00:06:33.280 on their gender identity or sexual orientation. These publications demonized and delegitimized
00:06:38.780 trans people and in one case lesbian and gay people and cast them as powerful menace threatening to
00:06:43.800 threatening the security of children and their families. More than 20 of Neufeld's is he taking issue
00:06:50.840 with teaching gender theory to impressionable children who do not have the social knowledge to understand
00:06:57.080 these are political ideologies and this is not exactly like the end-all be-all of I guess
00:07:03.460 I don't even know what to call it. Just these are not just these are not normal things and I'm saying
00:07:11.180 that as in from the perspective that yes these people a lot of activists are trying to make it seem
00:07:17.020 as if being like identifying as non-binary or an opposite sex is just as normal as being the sex that you
00:07:26.880 were born as. Yes, that is bad. That is basically like menacing on preying on the naive minds of children.
00:07:37.840 But apparently you're just not allowed to oppose the things that they teach or else that's hatred
00:07:42.280 even though they're teaching things that are clearly outside of the historical norm of things

00:08:00.180 intention to discriminate against 2SLGBTQ plus people in the Chilliwack school district. One unnamed teacher who uses she they
00:08:06.980 pronouns testified before the tribunal and Neufeld's comments made the people in their life ask them to
00:08:13.940 reconsider going into teaching. Okay, they said they chose not to be out as queer person professionally
00:08:21.940 because they and their families feared for their safety which they described as tough and isolate
00:08:26.740 as a tough and isolating experience. The teacher said not to not being out affected their ability to
00:08:32.660 show up to the classroom as their best self. Okay, so I guess Neufeld is not allowing this person to be a
00:08:39.300 stunning and brave individual because he has Facebook posts. It says here the BCTF and the Chilliwack
00:08:45.700 Teachers Association sought an award of $750,000 in compensation to Teachers Association members who
00:08:52.820 identify as LGBTQ between October 27 through 2022 for injury to their dignity, feelings, and self-respect.
00:09:01.140 And they gave them every single penny of it. Absurd. They gave them every penny of it. And the funniest thing I'm
00:09:10.980 going to get to maybe the little the video from our leader Dallas Brody from 1BC. They use this absurd term to
00:09:18.980 try and define how what he was saying was like an attack, some sort of like fundamental like attack on these
00:09:27.860 people as persons or something that needed to be corrected with a punishment. Check this out. It's
00:09:32.900 almost hard. It's hard to describe because all of this at the end of the day is just left-wing
00:09:38.740 idiobabble. It's just let you don't buy into the left-wing idiobabble. Ergo you are being fined $750,000.
00:09:46.420 Hi there, Dallas Brody here. I wanted to let you know about another insane situation that's developed in BC.
00:09:52.660 Barry Neufeld, who's a former trustee of the Chilliwack School Board, was found guilty today
00:09:58.900 of not believing in transgenderism. And he has been fined, get ready, $750,000 for saying that he
00:10:06.660 doesn't believe that there are more than two genders. Can you believe this? The tribunal found that he was
00:10:11.940 guilty of existential denialism. And that's what it came down to. So this poor guy, $750,000. These human rights
00:10:22.260 tribunals are out of control. They're kangaroo courts. They don't meet any of the traditional
00:10:27.300 burdens of proof. It's outrageous that this is happening. If I were premier, these tribunals
00:10:31.940 will be shut down immediately. So if you agree with that, consider joining 1BC to shut down the BC
00:10:38.660 human rights tribunals. But existential denialism, because that was the term that the whole suit
00:10:46.500 was hanging its hat on. The idea that he is existentially denying that these are people,
00:10:52.340 that these are human beings, because he won't repeat lies pushed by gender theorists.
00:10:59.780 Billboard Crisp was one of the first people to post about it, and I think he does a really good
00:11:03.460 summation of everything that happened. He says, breaking, Barry Neufeld, a former school trustee
00:11:09.060 who opposed gender ideology in schools, has been ordered to pay $750,000 to the Chilliwack
00:11:14.260 Teachers Association. The BC human rights tribunal literally stated the following, quote,
00:11:19.940 if a person elects not to believe that gender identity is separate from sex assigned at birth,
00:11:25.220 then they do not believe in trans people. This is a form of existential denial. A person does not need
00:11:31.380 to believe in Christianity to accept that another person is a Christian. However, to accept that a person
00:11:36.660 is transgender, one must accept their gender identity is different than their sex assigned at birth.
00:11:42.260 That's the whole thing. Barry Neufeld was fined for not believing in that left-wing idiobabble.
00:11:48.820 The thing about being a Christian, and I am a Christian myself, is that it is a belief,
00:11:54.580 that it is a spiritual belief, it is a faith in God, it's a faith that Jesus Christ died for your sins,
00:12:01.380 and that you need to repent and believe in him to be forgiven. That's not something that denies that I
00:12:08.420 have, you know, brown hair, or that I'm a male, or that, like, I don't know, like, my eye color or how
00:12:16.500 tall I am. The thing is, we would obviously say if someone just started identifying as two feet taller
00:12:22.660 than they are, you would just have to say, well, they aren't. I'm not going to accommodate them
00:12:27.460 thinking that they're two feet taller than they are, and making changes to how I address them,
00:12:32.340 or to, like, you know, whatever else. You can't, you can't, the idea that these two things are
00:12:38.340 equivalent is insane. I know that the people like Billboard Chris will say that there is only
00:12:43.860 such thing as sex and gender is a made-up concept. I generally agree with that. At the end of the day,
00:12:49.300 whether you call it gender or sex, there's only two of them. You know, people want to identify
00:12:54.900 something else. Yeah, don't bully them. Don't be mean to them. Be nice to people.
00:12:58.740 But the idea that if you, as a school board trustee, like, disagree, that you are existentially
00:13:07.060 denying their existence, and ergo you owe them three-quarters of a million dollars, is why this
00:13:13.620 country is the way that it is. What, how do we have a media that didn't cover this from the angle that
00:13:20.020 this is the most absurd thing they've ever heard in their lives? That CBC article was playing this story,
00:13:24.740 straight, as if Barry Neufeld is just inherently the villain. And printing that stupid line where,
00:13:30.020 don't worry, the BC Teachers Federation didn't use the full acronym, but that's just because it's not
00:13:35.220 the official definition, the government definition of the community or the official government acronym,
00:13:40.500 and they would, would have liked to use the full one if they could. That was a line in the article.
00:13:46.820 Barry Neufeld is basically being attacked for being radically normal,
00:13:51.220 for believing things that people have believed forever. You believe things that people have been
00:13:57.220 believing for thousands of years for good reason. You could be sued for nearly a million dollars if
00:14:04.260 you live in the province of British Columbia for existential denialism. Insane. And here's my,
00:14:10.500 here's my thing, because I want to go a little bit into this. I find it so annoying how there are BC
00:14:16.740 Conservative leadership candidates who are not sitting MLAs, have nothing better to do than speak out about
00:14:22.420 things happening in British Columbia, who it took them several hours to get a tweet out about this story.
00:14:29.380 Caroline Elliott is not a sitting MLA. She eventually said something about it, but her statement was kind of wishy-washy,
00:14:35.940 and it was saying that this is bad what has happened to Barry Neufeld for believing that there are only two genders or two sexes.
00:14:42.980 But she doesn't affirm that that is a correct belief, and she also doesn't call for the BC Human Rights Tribunal to be abolished.
00:14:50.180 That is the thing that's annoying me about so many BC Conservative leadership candidates.

00:15:53.380 who is this guy who identifies as a woman who literally in 2019 shut down a woman's rape crisis center
00:16:04.420 for not letting biological men in. This guy ran on the same party slate as Morgane and is now the
00:16:12.420 tour manager for Caroline Elliott. In fact, it gets worse from there because guess what else the
00:16:19.780 Caroline Elliott has kicking around on her campaign? She literally has doing communications
00:16:25.060 Anthony Koch, who attacked Dallas Brody and smeared her as attacking victims of molestation in residential
00:16:33.140 schools. This is the sort of people on the principled conservative campaign. This is what I posted after
00:16:40.500 Billboard Chris called out Morrow Francis on her campaign. I said lots of fake conservatives and smear
00:16:46.180 artists on Caroline Elliott's campaign. Here is Anthony Koch trying to engage in the woke cancellation of
00:16:51.140 Dallas Brody by trying to spin that three-second out of context video of her John Rustad and team used
00:16:56.820 to boot her out of the BC conservative caucus. Anthony Koch here said, mocking grandmas that were
00:17:01.940 molested in state-sanctioned institutions is never a play nor is it morally tolerable by normal people.
00:17:08.260 I don't understand why this needs to be explained. And former BC conservative candidate Brian
00:17:13.140 Berguet, who actually has a head on his shoulders, said, asking again, when did Dallas say this? I'm
00:17:18.580 genuinely asking here. You have a link to her saying this. I'm open to changing my mind. But all of this
00:17:23.940 is starting as this started because Dallas refused to go against one fact. Anthony said, watch the video
00:17:29.860 that went out yesterday. That video was three and a half seconds. It was a three and a half second video
00:17:37.460 used to smear Dallas Brody because she was mocking, using a mocking voice to go after postmodernists who

00:17:50.020 over. And this guy is now a leader of the new right helping Caroline Elliott's campaign. And there are
00:17:55.940 other people on Caroline Elliott's campaign who are also basically either leftists or these fake smear
00:18:02.180 artists who pretend to be conservative. Anthony Koch used to be a big Aaron O'Toole guy. She's also employing
00:18:07.220 Jeff Ballingall, big Aaron O'Toole guy back in 2020, was helping AstroTurf with his pages Canada
00:18:13.060 Proud and Ontario Proud that Aaron O'Toole was a true blue conservative. Apparently he looks more
00:18:18.580 true blue if you're taking loads of money from Aaron O'Toole. And then you have Corey Tanike on
00:18:22.820 the campaign, who's a big hater of Pierre Polyev, a big Doug Ford ally, and a massive liberal pretending
00:18:28.820 to be conservative. Lots of other people on that campaign as well. And this is what I can't stand
00:18:34.180 about BC politics. All of the same crap campaign mercenaries who paid themselves massive amounts
00:18:41.140 of money on the BC conservative campaign in 2024, re-rolling themselves again saying,
00:18:47.380 you know what, we have the formula to winning the province this time. Just give us tens of thousands
00:18:52.020 of dollars per month to be crappy at our jobs and then we'll somehow win. Something, something,
00:18:57.220 something profit if you give me a bunch of money. We'll win somehow if you give me fifteen
