00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here, and welcome back to the normal National Telegraph studio, everyone.
00:00:07.020 Isn't this so much more comfortable than me shooting in badly lit hotel rooms or on park benches?
00:00:13.320 You don't have to answer that.
00:00:15.580 Anyways, for our first episode back in the normal studio, we are talking about something rather delicious.
00:00:22.160 Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberals being rejected by the European Union for the EU Associate Membership.
00:00:30.000 I know that the EU president was happy to take in Canada as an associate member, but it seems like the other member states made the very logical choice to not want to anchor themselves to Mark Carney, who's in a proxy trade war right now with President Donald Trump.
00:00:46.760 I know that Canada didn't start the trade conflict.
00:00:50.480 Yes, Trump was the one who started just blanketly putting tariffs on all sorts of different countries.
00:00:56.280 But at the same time, Carney has been dealing with it terribly.
00:01:00.380 The EU is not pro-Trump, but I think that the EU also doesn't want to associate itself
00:01:05.660 with the brand of anti-Trumpism that Mark Carney represents
00:01:09.800 because they do, in fact, want to make deals with the United States.
00:01:13.120 They want a good relationship.
00:01:14.940 Carney, on the other hand, wants his polling numbers to go up and his personal approval ratings to remain high,
00:01:21.160 which is not the same thing as wanting a trade deal as we have seen over the past year and a half at this point,
00:01:28.600 because I'm pretty sure we are supposed to have a trade deal.
00:01:31.780 That was Carney's big election promise back in 2025, and we are in late 2026 sans trade deal,
00:01:40.260 Because Carney has gotten addicted to the process of pretending he wants to negotiate and then finding something wrong that Trump did and walking away from the table to give himself a temporary approval boost.
00:01:52.340 Which is something I actually do believe will eventually start to have just smaller and smaller positive effects for Carney.
00:02:00.640 It's sort of one of those things where you can only pull the trick off so many times before people get tired of it.
00:02:06.260 You just saw David Eby lose a provincial election in British Columbia to a very liberal BC conservative party,
00:02:13.880 simply because trying to call a snap election justifying it with Donald Trump doesn't work anymore.
00:02:20.180 Anyways, let's get into some of the clips of him reacting to the whole EU associate membership thing being rejected.
00:02:27.880 It was specifically rejected by Germany, Italy, and Greece,
00:02:31.460 and then there were other countries that were also very uncomfortable with the whole thing.
00:02:35.000 But all you really need to know is Germany rejected it, who tends to be the power within the EU.
00:02:41.360 Second to them would maybe be France and then Italy.
00:02:44.040 So overall, even if it's just those three countries specifically blocking it, Germany, Italy, and Greece, the thing is dead.
00:02:51.280 But anyways, before we get into the clip of Mark Carney, I just want to remind you guys, if you like the show, make sure to leave a like on the video.
00:02:59.040 Subscribe if you are not yet a subscriber.
00:03:01.620 Help me hit 100,000 subscribers by Christmas of this year.
00:03:05.520 Yes, the original goal was Christmas of last year, but we don't all get what we want.
00:03:09.560 And of course, if you want to support the channel even more,
00:03:11.960 you can always hit the join button and become a monthly contributing member of the channel
00:03:16.160 to allow me to be less reliant on the very fickle YouTube algorithm.
00:03:20.740 Anyways, let's get into this.
00:03:22.560 Mark Carney reacting to the news that the EU associate membership will not go through,
00:03:28.260 saying, well, it doesn't have to be named that.
00:03:30.760 It's just nomenclature, but, you know, we want some relationship with the EU.
00:03:35.440 He and many other people here are trying to, like, desperately save this by pretending it's just, you know, semantics that are getting in the way.
00:03:42.540 It's like, no, no, no, they're rejecting you flat.
00:03:45.340 If you change it from associate membership to something else, you're still not getting the thing.
00:03:50.060 I'm looking forward to the summit with Presidents von der Leyen and President Costa, a lot of
00:04:02.000 work.
00:04:03.000 I think a lot of work has gone into this, and then this is the launch of further formal
00:04:08.820 discussions, negotiations over the course of the next year.
00:04:12.440 The good news is it doesn't matter about specific names or nomenclature.
00:04:16.760 What matters is the difference that it will make to lives of Canadians, young Canadians
00:04:21.140 in terms of opportunities to study, work and travel, our Canadian businesses in terms of
00:04:26.080 new opportunities, Canadian researchers in terms of depth of opportunity, and Canada
00:04:31.520 as a whole, become a more independent, more sovereign nation, so we can live our lives
00:04:35.820 as we choose.
00:04:36.820 Yeah, you put a lot of work into this.
00:04:40.200 And now the whole thing got shut down.
00:04:41.540 There's no more talks going on talking to President Ursula von der Leyen.
00:04:46.760 doesn't mean anything. Because again, Germany doesn't want it, Italy doesn't want it, and Greece
00:04:51.740 doesn't want it. And I've also heard that France was extremely on the fence about this and
00:04:56.680 uncomfortable about adding in Canada, because again, these are not pro-Trump countries by any
00:05:02.340 stretch. But at the same time, Carney's brand of wanting to scrap with Donald Trump to try and fix
00:05:08.740 the trade dispute is not what the EU wants to do. It's pretty much what no country wants to do.
00:05:14.560 The Mexicans are not doing it. Their president, Claudia Sheinbaum, as I've noted many times, is very left-wing. She is decisively to the left of Mark Carney, but she understands that, yes, Trump can be annoying, the tariffs are bad, but you don't get into a slugging match with the Trump administration over it, with counter-tariffs and taking booze off the shelves and taking shots at them in the media. 0.98
00:05:39.080 You just stick at the negotiating table and keep hammering through a deal.
00:05:45.500 You don't like certain things, you negotiate them out over time.
00:05:48.800 You don't walk away, let alone walk away three separate times simply to gain the headlines in Canada
00:05:56.320 that, ooh, this powerful and virile Mark Carney refuses to sign something with Trump and he walks away.
00:06:04.020 They always focus on, like, the actions.
00:06:05.600 He's walked away from Donald Trump. When we never actually talk about what that means, we just talk about the verb rather than the fact that hundreds of thousands of people are going to lose their jobs, our GDP is going to go down, people are going to default on their mortgages and all those other negative externalities.
00:06:25.960 But what do I know? I'm a simple boy who doesn't understand the genius of what Mark Carney is doing here, apparently.
00:06:31.580 I need to now jump over to, well, let's just start with the associate membership still, we'll just stay on this.
00:06:38.040 Then I want to jump over to something else the EU did to Canada recently to demonstrate that, no, they want nothing to do with us,
00:06:44.880 and they, in fact, don't like us very much. This isn't a situation where we just require some more negotiations.
00:06:50.640 They decisively do not care very much about Canada.
00:06:54.220 Kirk Lubomov here says,
00:06:56.280 Breaking, EU is set to scrap the associate membership offer to Canada.
00:07:00.760 The language will now be closer association.
00:07:03.860 Let's remember that Canada's overall trade deal with the European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, CETA, is not fully ratified.
00:07:12.800 Massive blow and embarrassment to Mark Carney.
00:07:15.500 Wow.
00:07:15.940 So we couldn't even get a meaningless designation.
00:07:19.820 It wasn't exactly meaningless. We would probably have had to follow a bunch of terrible EU regulations and pay some EU taxes for effectively nothing. But we barely trade with the EU. And I'm not even just comparing it to the United States, obviously. We barely trade with any country compared to the United States. We barely trade with the European Union compared to the United Kingdom.
00:07:41.100 You know, that place that's only made up of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland?
00:07:48.080 Yes, we trade with the UK like two or three times more than all of the EU countries combined.
00:07:54.440 Actually, I think it's all of Europe combined, not even only the EU members.
00:07:59.560 It's just dumb that we thought that this was going to be our way of pumping our economy,
00:08:04.620 having free travel between the European Union and Canada,
00:08:09.840 people able to take Canadian jobs who live in Europe,
00:08:13.340 and having migration just open into the Canadian economy,
00:08:17.540 that would be an economic disaster for Canada.
00:08:21.180 Because when you already have an unemployment problem,
00:08:25.120 you're not going to somehow alleviate it
00:08:27.780 by just hoping that a bunch of Canadians leave and get jobs in Spain.
00:08:31.820 It wasn't going to happen.
00:08:33.340 They have a far easier time taking our jobs than we would have taking theirs because of the massive language barrier.
00:08:40.080 You're not going to be filling their jobs because they all know English pretty much,
00:08:44.240 or at least the English fluency right there is pretty high.
00:08:47.340 They're going to be taking your job in Manitoba or Ontario or New Brunswick.
00:08:53.060 You're not going to be taking their job out in Liechtenstein.
00:08:56.940 You're not going to be taking the job that's there in Greece or Italy.
00:09:00.780 It's just not in the cards here, guys.
00:09:03.340 But anyways, so on the way out, the EU decided to kick Mark Carney in the face one more time.
00:09:09.160 And this is being reported by a conservative MP, but it doesn't matter because he's just talking about a CBC headline here.
00:09:15.760 CBC headline is, Canada facing carbon tariff threat from European Union internal documents.
00:09:22.060 No exemptions for Canada despite adopting carbon pricing.
00:09:25.340 Oh, oh no. Oh no. Who could have seen this coming?
00:09:29.460 Oh, no, it's almost like our own justification for having our clean fuel standards and industrial carbon taxes and previously the consumer carbon tax was completely dumb.
00:09:41.700 Because the narrative was always, well, we need these things because other countries expect it or we can't trade with them.
00:09:48.420 And they're saying, well, yeah, you have all those things.
00:09:50.580 The EU was saying this.
00:09:51.800 Yeah, you have the industrial carbon tax and clean fuel standard. 0.98
00:09:54.700 by the way, stupid move, guys, because we're going to carbon tariff you anyways, because clearly 0.96
00:10:00.460 all carbon taxes is really just a way of the government gaining more revenues. The EU doesn't 0.99
00:10:05.220 care we have a carbon tax because they don't care about it for climate reasons. It's a revenue thing
00:10:09.600 for them, and us having our own carbon revenue stream doesn't stop them from wanting to charge
00:10:15.280 us a carbon tariff so that they can get revenues too. That's what this entire thing is about.
00:10:21.880 And Dan Manzer here says,
00:10:23.460 Breaking news.
00:10:24.600 Canadian industries face a massive EU carbon tax while Mark Carney secretly negotiates to make Canada a member of the European Union.
00:10:31.160 And let's not forget the European Union has already imposed massive carbon taxes on its members.
00:10:37.260 Why isn't Parliament debating this while Canadians are kept in the dark?
00:10:40.840 Well, because if we debated it, then Mark Carney would be proven to be completely wrong on another issue.
00:10:45.880 Mark Carney really doesn't show up all that often when it comes to, like, Parliament at all. He doesn't like showing up to QP very often because, although he has a high approval rating at the moment and the Liberals are still way up in the polls, the more Canadians see him joust with someone like Pierre Polyev or, frankly, any other MP, the more it sort of chips away at his sort of self, I guess, image, the image that he's built up himself of being, like, some financial wizard.
00:11:15.880 or whatever or trump whisperer he clearly doesn't know what he's doing it it's funny that all of
00:11:22.320 this happened with the european union really only because he just is a guy obsessed with
00:11:29.860 feeling sophisticated and european that's really all the only reason this happened he did all these 0.96
00:11:35.580 stupid speeches about how canada is the most european country in north america we're really 0.99
00:11:40.700 the most European non-European country in the world. It's like, okay. And then he had this 1.00
00:11:46.220 dumb thing where he was texting EU leaders for over the last couple of years, trying to organize
00:11:52.160 a way for Canada to get into the EU. And then he was just backhanded because his own anti-Trump 0.97
00:11:56.540 agenda ended up making even them not want to associate. But now let's jump into some more
00:12:03.380 domestic stuff. So the liberals increased the interest rate from, I believe, 2.25% up to 2.5%.
00:12:11.260 Now, I don't even necessarily disagree with increasing the interest rate, but the only reason
00:12:17.120 it has to be done is because of the massively inflationary policies of the liberals. If we were
00:12:23.400 actually cutting taxes, regulations, bad spending all over the place, you wouldn't need to touch it.
00:12:29.020 The only reason this needs to be done is because the Liberals refuse to get away from the tax and spend economic policies that they think are going to somehow break us through into massive wealth one day.
00:12:41.600 They aren't.
00:12:42.860 And here is Conservative MP Shavloy Majumdar summing it up quite well in question period.
00:12:47.920 I believe this is yesterday.
00:12:49.780 Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister chose to borrow record amounts every year.
00:12:53.600 Today, Canadians got the bill.
00:12:55.460 The Bank of Canada has raised rates. A typical variable mortgage now costs $80 more a month.
00:13:02.020 A line of credit, $10 more. A car loan, $5 more.
00:13:06.180 That is more than $1,100 a year, on top of the $6,000 each family already pays toward interest on liberal debt.
00:13:14.980 And growth is flatlining. Canada is growing at under 1%. Europe, 2%. The United States, 4%.
00:13:20.980 Billions in industrial subsidies feed demand and feed inflation.
00:13:24.860 Canada needs supply-side reform, competitive taxes, lighter regulation, and a plan for transformational growth.
00:13:32.380 Instead, the Prime Minister traffics in promises of someday, maybe, never.
00:13:37.380 Mr. Speaker, what we are seeing is just the beginning.
00:13:40.180 How did the former central banker get it that wrong?
00:13:43.640 I really like Chevrolet Majumdar.
00:13:45.800 I think he summed that up quite well.
00:13:47.660 Think about that.
00:13:48.540 So if you have a car loan, now maybe you shouldn't have a car loan, always pay out of pocket if you can in terms of just pay cash, but if you have a car loan, a mortgage, just other commitments in your life, $1,100 more dollars a year on these average loans and mortgages is pretty killer considering Mark Carney was trying to pin part of his reputation as prime minister to the fact that he lowered your taxes.
00:14:16.600 Do you know that Mark Carney lowered your taxes by 1%? Well, not really 1%. He lowered it by, he took the rate down under $50,000 by 1%, but he's only implemented a half a percent cut so far.
00:14:31.800 And even if the full 1% is implemented because you get a big tax exemption on the first, like, $15,000, $18,000 or so that you pay, really, you're only getting back, like, $500, $700 when this full thing is implemented.
00:14:46.620 And he's just cost you, with a rising interest rate, $1,000.
00:14:52.560 Thanks, Mark Carney.
00:14:54.020 Isn't that great?
00:14:54.780 And even if you don't have a mortgage or a car loan or any of these other things, you're still paying for this because other people have these things.
00:15:01.580 And if they own a business or they have loans, they're going to increase prices, service costs are going up, products on the shelves are going up. And again, do we probably have to raise the interest rates? Yes, but only if you hold liberal policy steady. If you cut taxes and regulations, you actually grew the economy, and we weren't just inflating the currency through massive spending, you wouldn't have to increase the interest rate at all.
00:15:25.240 interest rates going up because money is being devalued at the moment and so you got to pay
00:15:30.020 back more on your on the loans that you take out and here's mark carney in a very funny post by
00:15:35.720 kirk lubomov even acknowledging that this has happened i believe this actually may have been
00:15:40.360 in response to either paliev or chivalry majumdar but kirk here says did mark carney uh mark carney
00:15:46.320 just told the truth quote mortgage affordability down every month in this government and mortgage
00:15:53.460 affordability down every month in this government mortgage affordability down every month in this
00:16:08.900 maybe he was trying to claim something about how mortgage costs or like you know home costs are
00:16:15.460 down every month which is somewhat true just because immigration's been cracked down on a
00:16:20.900 a little bit here. So naturally, the demand for new housing has gone down. So the amount of money
00:16:25.900 that you might have to pay in a mortgage or the amount you may have to put up forward for a house
00:16:29.920 has gone down slightly in many markets around Canada. But okay, but the actual mortgages
00:16:36.300 themselves have now gone up in terms of the interest that you're going to be paying on the
00:16:41.340 home's cost. And also, the amount of people defaulting on mortgages is higher than ever
00:16:47.840 right now. So I wouldn't brag about anything around housing, when so many people when with
00:16:53.280 housing going down slightly in cost, but mortgages going up, still can't afford it. And they're now
00:16:58.580 having to just sell the homes and move out because they can't keep up with the costs. But now let's
00:17:03.940 jump over to question period from today. I think Mark Carney actually did bother showing up today
00:17:09.640 very nice of him very brave, very commendable. But it didn't really go all that well, because
00:17:15.360 Carney is not in a good position at the moment.
00:17:19.460 Polling-wise and his approval rating, are they good? Yes.
00:17:22.380 The problem is if you want to maintain those high numbers, where's the good news over the last few months?
00:17:28.980 Multiple months of job losses.
00:17:31.660 We're probably going to have another job loss month here in October.
00:17:34.900 We just had our growth numbers for the year turned down by the parliamentary budget officer.
00:17:40.740 It was like a point and a half or something like that at the start of the year,
00:17:44.500 and now they're only projecting growth at 0.9%.
00:17:46.960 Then we also ended up having the EU thing fall through,
00:17:51.820 which I was never a big fan of,
00:17:53.380 but that was something he was tying his reputation to.
00:17:55.760 Now we have interest rate costs going up.
00:17:59.060 Where's the win here for Mark Carney?
00:18:01.740 And the answer is there is no win.
00:18:03.640 The Honorable Leader of the Opposition,
00:18:06.460 Mr. Speaker, this Liberal Prime Minister spent,
00:18:09.720 and today Canadians are paying the price.
00:18:12.860 He doubled the deficit that Trudeau left behind, increased government spending to the highest share of GDP since 1996.
00:18:22.060 And he's threatening to add 700 billion dollars more in debt.
00:18:26.660 More deficits causes more inflation, which today caused the Bank of Canada to bring in more interest on Canadians.
00:18:35.020 How much will Canadians have to pay before he finally hits the brakes on his out of control liberal spending?
00:18:42.860 And it was very clear about the global causes of inflation and why they acted.
00:18:51.720 They were clear that our growth is going to pick up next year and the year following strongest in the G7.
00:18:56.700 But let's be clear about the fiscal record of this government.
00:18:59.300 The lowest net debt in the G7.
00:19:01.940 Second lowest deficit in the G7.
00:19:04.200 Operational spending from 8% to 2%.
00:19:06.720 10% cut in civil service.
00:19:08.780 20% cut in consultants.
00:19:10.400 60 billion of savings.
00:19:11.420 And that's even before the budget next week, Mr. Speaker.
00:19:16.680 I'm sorry, but if he's doing all this cutting to the civil service and consultants, then why is the budget so high?
00:19:23.760 The problem is he reallocates spending all the time.
00:19:27.020 Yes, they're retiring people early in the civil service in some areas.
00:19:30.780 That's good.
00:19:31.820 You know, I think they're slowly reducing contracts in certain areas.
00:19:35.160 okay then how do we have a near like a 75 what is 78 billion dollar deficit how is that possible
00:19:43.800 and the whole operating cost budget like the operating cost or operating budget brag is so
00:19:49.580 lame you just reallocate a bunch of operating budget as as like a capital budget or some other
00:19:57.180 budget and pretend that you've been fiscally responsible as the conservatives were saying
00:20:02.140 the other day, and it's a great way of putting it. I couldn't find a better one. It's like just
00:20:05.960 moving money onto different credit cards and saying that, hey, I paid off this credit card.
00:20:10.340 It's like, well, the money's on different credit cards. What are you talking about? Of course,
00:20:13.800 it's still debt. We're building Canada's strong. Yes, we are.
00:20:20.240 The Honourable Leader of the Opposition.
00:20:23.860 How completely out of touch.
00:20:27.480 Families who have the Canadian families are the most indebted anywhere in the G7.
00:20:32.140 And today they will come home to learn that their mortgage payments, their car payments, their line of credit payments will go up because this prime minister could not control his spending.
00:20:41.720 He doubled Trudeau's deficit and he's imposed a new fuel tax that is driving up the cost of diesel 30 cents higher than in the U.S., which is one of the causes that the Bank of Canada cited in raising rates on Canadians today.
00:20:57.040 So we get his hands out of the pockets of Canadians so they don't have to pay more in their rates.
00:21:02.140 Mr. Speaker, I repeat, spending down from 8% per year to 2%.
00:21:11.240 The operational budget will be closed next year, one year ahead of schedule.
00:21:20.000 10% reduction in civil service.
00:21:21.840 The operating budget deficit doesn't mean anything.
00:21:25.360 It's like the biggest fantasy stat in the government.
00:21:27.760 Oh, our operational budget deficit is down.
00:21:31.860 And it's like, wow, how long did it take you to cook the books for that one?
00:21:35.580 How is it that you have a bigger deficit than ever?
00:21:38.020 But the operational budget is balanced. 0.99
00:21:41.640 Shut up. No, it's not. 0.99
00:21:43.480 30% reductions in consultants.
00:21:45.580 The strongest growth in the G7 in the coming years.
00:21:50.780 And mortgage affordability down every month in this government.
00:21:56.380 Hear, hear.
00:21:57.420 the uh leader the honorable leader of the opposition affordability is better everybody
00:22:04.520 out there knows that's false and it's worse today the bank of canada governor said that food price
00:22:09.740 inflation will be even higher next year quote higher diesel prices raise freight and operating
00:22:14.460 costs in fuel intensive sectors such as food processing and agriculture the prime minister
00:22:19.160 is not to blame for world prices but he is to blame for the fact that our prices are much higher
00:22:23.200 than the world's, in part because of what the Nova Scotia Energy Board calculates is 16 cents
00:22:29.680 a liter in extra fuel standard taxes that this Prime Minister is imposing at the pump. Will the
00:22:37.180 Prime Minister reverse this tax so that we can reverse the inflation and reverse the rate hikes?
00:22:42.560 Mr. Speaker, there's a problem with starting to quote the Bank of Canada.
00:22:51.060 it's all on the public record so if you look at the bank of canada and affordability metrics
00:22:55.860 54 percent of disposable income affordability before this government came into place
00:23:00.640 now at 41 percent 24 straight months where rent asking rents have gone down we are improving
00:23:06.960 affordability in a tough housing market mr speaker next yeah but they're now planning on increasing
00:23:12.880 immigration again so even their one win they're like threatening mark carney is taking his one
00:23:19.820 win housing prices going down because immigration went down and he's like holding a gun to the head
00:23:24.640 of his like only his only achievement in office housing prices went down because they
00:23:29.920 continued trudeau's slight reductions in immigration rates because even trudeau
00:23:35.320 realized it was too much by the end and he started reducing them and now mark carney's like gonna
00:23:39.420 like execute his one achievement because well we need to pump the gdp numbers again because
00:23:45.080 he knows the gdp is bad he knows that our productivity numbers look really bad and to
00:23:50.580 solve them rather than making it easier to employ people by reducing tax and regulations we're just 0.94
00:23:55.620 going to let in more foreign workers who will work for basically nothing time the leader of
00:24:00.460 the opposition goes to edmonton he might want to confirm that the price of diesel in edmonton is
00:24:04.400 the same as united states thank you the honorable leader of the opposition
00:24:09.040 can you really be more out of touch that sounded just like his statement back on march 25th
00:24:18.300 that affordability is the best it has been in a decade this the same month he said that
00:24:25.180 The Foodbanks Canada registered a record-smashing 2.35 million visits,
00:24:33.140 9% higher than when he took office,
00:24:36.140 with fewer Canadians believing they will ever be able to afford a home
00:24:39.800 than in the other 21 countries polled by the Habitat for Humanity.
00:24:44.200 Will he admit that affordability is not the best it's been in a decade?
00:24:49.140 You're right, Honourable Prime Minister.
00:24:51.040 Mr. Speaker, let's talk about affordability and steps the governments can take to improve
00:24:58.980 affordability. The Canadian dental care plan, which benefits over 17,000 people in the riding
00:25:06.160 of Battle River. Oh, my goodness. He's just doing the old late stage Trudeau thing. Guys,
00:25:11.800 guess what? Yes, we suck at our jobs. Yes. Yes. Life is not improving. But did you know program 0.99
00:25:18.520 spending we're spending a lot on programs guys does it actually make life more affordable for
00:25:23.900 you who knows maybe for some people it kind of does but it's so it's cutting around the edges
00:25:30.140 when you could just get rid of all those programs cut people's taxes and regulations sure have a
00:25:35.260 dental program for people who definitely can't afford it seniors living in poverty can have it
00:25:40.540 sure other people who are living with a disability can have free dental i get that why are we why in
00:25:47.540 the world are we just bragging that we've created a school food program and a grocery rebate and a
00:25:55.640 universal dental care program that's those are signs that things suck and you're trying to do 0.92
00:26:01.180 dumb liberal policies harder to try and convince people that you're on the case you could literally 0.72
00:26:06.520 just stop doing stuff cut taxes and regulations and everyone would be fine but they refuse to do 0.98
00:26:12.580 it oh my goodness I saw so many liberals thinking that this was some dunk online they're like oh he
00:26:36.240 hits pure poly for voting against a bunch of crappy liberal programs I'm like yeah so shouldn't
00:26:42.280 he'd be bragging about all the great outcomes they always brag about the existence of the program
00:26:47.260 but what about the outcome in terms of the macro level affordability in Canada they never talk
00:26:52.880 about it because because it's really bad right now and so they just talk about these aspirational
00:26:58.640 goals these programs have and that's it
00:27:00.460 oh there you go i was checking to see who is going to be up next we don't need to listen to
00:27:11.580 the bloc québécois not because i don't care about their contributions it just didn't matter for this
00:27:15.560 video so yeah it feels like more and more these days carney's actually coming up against it
00:27:20.620 because without enough without good news stories you will eventually start having your approval
00:27:25.760 rating and your polling numbers for your party start to downturn the liberals don't not only
00:27:31.320 don't have any good news stories they have a lot of bad news stories hitting them uh they're going
00:27:35.420 to really try and spin holiday job numbers in november as being like a really like a sign of
00:27:41.120 carnianomics working but as we know all the jobs always fall down more on net from the beginning
00:27:47.160 of the year we are down 41 000 jobs and in october i could see us losing at least another 20 000
00:27:52.860 I would be very shocked if it goes up. Maybe some areas of the economy are hiring that I'm not taking into account. But we're losing manufacturing jobs, jobs in construction left and right. We lost some public sector jobs, but they were not the ones that you would want to lose. It was healthcare and education jobs in this last month that we lost a bunch out of.
00:28:12.540 So where's the win for Carney? No trade deal, just got rejected by the EU. He's like kissing the shoes of like the Turkish dictator and inviting the EU or the UAE for talks in Canada while he's not actually trying to make a deal with the Americans.
00:28:30.380 doesn't not matter how much a voter hates Donald Trump eventually they'll wonder what is Carney
00:28:37.380 doing to get leverage on Trump and now Carney has been confirming elsewhere oh yeah we might go back
00:28:43.220 to talks with the Americans and the media is really pushing this line that's because he's he
00:28:47.540 has Trump where he wants them it's like no Trump is actually getting Canadian companies to go down
00:28:52.680 to the U.S. by cutting sort of microscopic small-scale industrial deals with specific
00:28:58.340 sectors of the Canadian economy, so he doesn't put in place tariffs on jet parts to get Bombardier
00:29:03.980 to make an investment in the United States. He will maybe reduce tariffs on aluminum and steel
00:29:09.420 companies or eliminate them for specific regions or companies in order to get them to invest in
00:29:15.500 America. Where's Carney getting leverage? Everyone keeps bringing up the midterms. Guys,
00:29:19.900 the midterms don't matter. Trump's not on the ballot. Trump cannot be taken out of office
00:29:24.660 due to the outcome of the midterms it does not matter and the republicans could still win both
00:29:30.540 houses and by the way democrats are usually more pro-tariff than republicans what are we even
00:29:35.740 talking about when we act like mark carney is somehow going to be saved by like like getting
00:29:41.320 trump to lose the midterms by like waiting him out and seeing him lose the house or the senate
00:29:47.960 and then moving in for the kill that's not how anything in life works i'm sorry to inform liberals
00:29:53.960 out there. Anyways, so with all that being said, thank you guys for watching the video today. Make
