00:00:13.380 Well, at the same time that Mark Carney is delivering all these speeches, implying that Canada is going to chart a path away from the United States and that we're not going to take their side in the great power rivalry that's going on.

00:00:33.400 Now, Trump is right in this case that we were doing something really, really dumb, but it does make us look pathetic that we keep saying one thing and then doing the other thing while the public isn't watching.

00:00:55.740 But our trade minister to the United States, Dominic LeBlanc, released this statement yesterday at around 1030 in the morning, at least mountain time.

00:01:23.840 Now, I don't believe him, but it doesn't really matter if I believe him or not that they weren't trying to actually have a free trade deal with China.
00:01:50.180 The point is that they're obviously trying to satisfy Trump and the Americans at the same time that Carney is going out there and delivering speeches at the WEF, thumbing his nose at them in order to try and win the anti-American vote in Canada.
00:02:05.900 This is more cynical than I originally thought, because while, again, Carney goes out there and is attacking America, never by name, but always through very obvious implication,

00:05:33.280 And the headline should be that Carney says one thing while his U.S. trade minister says the other.

00:06:35.080 So it didn't even come up on their radar as something to cover until then.
00:06:39.440 Like, here's another thing that needs to be mentioned.
00:06:41.500 Because even Carney himself, it's not just he's sending out his trade minister to say one thing while he does another.
00:06:46.720 He himself is basically, through his actions, indicating that, yeah, he is going to have to back this down at some point.

00:07:03.420 So originally, when he had that cabinet retreat where he went out and he did his anti-American routine again,

00:08:01.660 A little bit after that, Mark Carney posted this kind of propaganda video talking about how Canada needs to be,
00:08:09.240 you know, like, it's just more rah-rah-rah-ing about how Canada needs to, you know,
00:08:13.340 rely on itself for resources and, you know, pursue, like, economic sovereignty and whatnot.
00:08:18.440 With our economy under threat from abroad, Canadians have made a choice to focus on what we can control.

00:08:48.460 which is going to skyrocket the price of a lot of contracts from the government.
