Summary

I love it when Liberal Party Propaganda fails, and that's why today I want to take you guys through a couple videos that the Liberals posted themselves, attempting to convince you that 2025 was in fact a banner year for Canada. Because Mark Carney is a transformative prime minister who came down from on high to us, us plebeians, to set us on the right trajectory to reach new heights for the country by doing big and visionary things. These ads are the exact opposite of what the Liberals set out to do with them, because they re so obviously not the experience of everyday Canadians that it just makes them resent the Liberals even more.

00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. I love it when Liberal Party propaganda fails, and that's why today I want to take you guys through a couple videos that the Liberals posted themselves, attempting to convince you that 2025 was in fact a banner year for the country.
00:00:18.700 Because Mark Carney is a transformative prime minister who came down from on high to us, us plebeians, to set us on the right trajectory to reach new heights for the country by doing big and visionary things.
00:00:35.580 These ads that they're posting, I believe, are achieving the exact opposite of what the Liberals set out to do with them, because they're so obviously not the experience of everyday Canadians that it just makes them resent the Liberals even more.
00:00:50.980 But the Liberals need to pitch themselves this way and pretend 2025 was an amazing year and not a massive slump year, because we are likely to have a new federal election in 2026, and if Carney doesn't have any accomplishments, well, he's at least going to pretend that he has them.
00:01:09.080 So, before we get into these videos, I just want to quickly plug the membership program for the channel. It helps make the channel more sustainable for me and makes me less reliant on the YouTube algorithm.
00:01:22.120 If you go below the video and you want to support the channel, you can hit the join button and join one of the two tiers, and it just, again, makes the channel more sustainable.
00:01:30.620 I'm always going to keep all the content free. I may respond to you more frequently if you are a channel member, because I am able to go through and just respond to channel member comments, but I'm never just going to respond to channel members.
00:01:43.200 I want to make sure that this channel just has content for everybody, but if you like what I put out, you can make a small monthly donation that allows it to be, you know, easier for me to keep doing.
00:01:53.600 Anyways, let's get into the first of these videos. I do hope that YouTube does not demonetize this video, because the liberals play a lot of music in these ads.
00:02:04.700 So, Carney here, and this is from a couple days ago, says,
00:02:07.920 What does he even mean by secure specifically here?
00:02:18.560 I don't know what his definition of the word secure is, to even be able to evaluate that.
00:02:24.380 Are we talking about, like, national security? Are we talking about economic security? Like, none of that's true.
00:02:30.980 If I really squint, I can maybe see it from, like, they've reduced immigration a little bit, but even that's not a Carney accomplishment.
00:02:39.480 That's actually something that Justin Trudeau and Mark Miller did because of pressure from the conservatives, and Carney just kept doing it.
00:02:46.720 He didn't even really substantially lower immigration more than Trudeau already had.
00:02:51.200 He just kind of kept the immigration as low as Trudeau had put it out as.
00:02:56.480 But let's start watching this video.
00:03:00.540 It says 2025 was a year of cutting taxes.
00:03:07.560 Building more affordable homes, people.
00:03:13.720 Diversifying our trade partnerships.
00:03:15.820 Wow.
00:03:19.400 Fast-tracking major projects.
00:03:24.900 Making our streets safer.
00:03:27.900 Someone's going to have to fact-check that one.
00:03:29.760 Actually, I have a bit of a background on researching crime.
00:03:33.060 No, the streets are not safer in 2025.
00:03:36.000 Did crime maybe go down in 2025 compared to 2024?
00:03:40.020 Maybe, but that's just kind of the general rise and fall in crime that you see, you know, between years.
00:03:46.620 The thing is, crime in Canada is still way elevated compared to when the Liberals got into office back in 2015.
00:03:53.720 You don't get to give yourself a pat on the back because violent crime was down 1% in the year 2025 compared to 2024.
00:04:02.060 What was the crime rate in 2019?
00:04:04.120 What is it now?
00:04:05.200 It's probably still much higher.
00:04:06.700 Supporting Canadian workers.
00:04:10.880 Oh, that's what 2025 was all about.
00:04:13.080 That's why jobs keep going south.
00:04:17.920 Investing in the Canadian Armed Forces.
00:04:20.040 Attracting massive investment.
00:04:25.460 Massive investment.
00:04:26.620 That's why we lost $50 billion in, like, the first few months of Carney's prime ministership to the United States.
00:04:34.020 Because of all the massive investment coming into Canada.
00:04:36.380 We had so much investment that it even pushed some extra investment down into the U.S.
00:04:41.680 But I have genuinely no clue what he means by there's been big investments.
00:04:47.540 Oh, he's building one Canadian economy.
00:04:51.900 That's what 2025 was the year of.
00:04:54.480 And it's good that I'm pausing the video like this because it probably is warding off any sort of copyright claim by whoever created the music.
00:05:03.220 But what is this music at the same time?
00:05:05.860 Like, it's just horrible.
00:05:07.140 Maybe it's because they had to use a Canadian artist or something like that.
00:05:11.120 And they went through their DEI, ESG sort of sorting process for who they were going to use.
00:05:16.800 And they came out with whatever this is.
00:05:19.540 Because the creator is diverse or something.
00:05:22.840 Wow, he's empowering Canadians to build Canada strong.
00:05:27.900 Let's go through some of those claims again.
00:05:29.880 So, cutting taxes.
00:05:31.880 Was this a year of cutting taxes?
00:05:35.300 Maybe if you only actually look at the things he cut.
00:05:38.800 Yes, he lowered Canadians' taxes by 1%.
00:05:42.700 Under $50,000.
00:05:45.060 The bracket where you don't even pay any taxes on the first $18,000 to $20,000.
00:05:50.240 Yeah, he's lowered Canadian taxpayers' taxes by 1% or $50,000.
00:05:55.740 He also doubled the carbon tax.
00:05:57.800 The industrial carbon tax.
00:05:59.060 He got rid of the consumer one.
00:06:01.220 But he's also bringing in a clean fuel standard.
00:06:04.160 And trying to also pass more regulations.
00:06:06.360 And put them on Alberta's economy.
00:06:08.540 To reduce methane emissions.
00:06:10.060 And to put a higher, not a cap on.
00:06:13.080 It's not like a, it's not a production cap anymore.
00:06:15.300 But they want to have an even higher, like, emissions tax for Alberta oil and gas.
00:06:21.080 Like, did he cut taxes?
00:06:23.340 Sure, but he raised them too.
00:06:25.560 So, that doesn't make any sense to me.
00:06:27.280 That that's something that he can really celebrate.
00:06:29.700 Building more affordable homes.
00:06:31.740 Here's the next one.
00:06:33.320 Did we build any homes this year?
00:06:35.800 No.
00:06:36.220 In fact, new housing starts in the year 2025 are down.
00:06:40.220 So, we can just throw that one out.
00:06:41.440 Diversifying our trade partners.
00:06:43.860 And at some point, he shows him shaking hands with the prime minister of Indonesia or the president or whatever.
00:06:50.440 I even looked it up.
00:06:51.400 Have we done any more trade with any of the countries that he signed a partnership agreement with in the year 2025?
00:06:58.480 No?
00:06:59.420 Okay.
00:06:59.780 Well, the argument is, well, this stuff will kick in in 2026.
00:07:04.460 Will it, though?
00:07:05.920 What do we already trade with the Indonesians?
00:07:08.940 Are we really going to start sending them lots of product?
00:07:11.900 What product do they want from us?
00:07:13.620 Because we're not building a pipeline out west to give them oil and gas products, at least any more than we already are by shipping it by train or truck and then bringing it to LNG terminals.
00:07:22.980 Yeah, we do a little bit of that.
00:07:25.500 Forestry?
00:07:26.100 Our forestry sector is dying in Canada.
00:07:28.560 What else are we sending them?
00:07:30.380 So, that's confusing to me on how that was even an accomplishment.
00:07:33.820 And this is to offset the fact that he didn't sign a trade deal with the Americans, which was the big prize of why you're going to vote for him, was that if you vote for him, the prize that you're going to open the door and reveal is a brand new trade agreement with the United States that's going to benefit Canada.
00:07:48.420 At the same time, we're going to be thumbing our noses at Trump the entire time.
00:07:52.980 His strategy for getting a trade deal signed with Trump was so asinine.
00:07:57.920 It was obviously never going to work.
00:07:59.920 You were not going to, you know, try and big dog him at the same time you're trying to get a trade deal signed.
00:08:06.320 He has a bigger, more powerful country and economy than you.
00:08:09.860 He doesn't have to bend to your will when you're mean to him.
00:08:13.800 Now, the people are always saying, well, Trump's not acting reasonable.
00:08:17.640 It doesn't matter.
00:08:18.400 You have to act in such a way that is going to make sure that we get a trade deal signed that benefits us, but we have no deal signed at all.
00:08:26.680 And now Carney has the, well, it doesn't even matter.
00:08:29.760 Well, who cares?
00:08:30.900 Excuse.
00:08:31.680 Well, we'll talk to him when we're good and ready.
00:08:34.160 Well, OK, well, that seems more of a him thing than a rest of Canadians thing.
00:08:38.220 I think we'd all like to actually, you know, get a trade deal signed.
00:08:41.900 We don't care about his own priorities.
00:08:44.280 We care about our own priorities.
00:08:47.220 This this freeze frame says 2025 was your fast tracking major projects.
00:08:53.380 No, we didn't fast track major projects in 2025.
00:08:58.220 We fast track projects that were almost already done anyways.
00:09:02.100 It was so it was a fraud pretending like he's fast track anything.
00:09:06.060 What else do we have here?
00:09:08.680 Making our streets safer.
00:09:09.800 I already went over that one.
00:09:11.300 Looking at a small decrease in crime year over year means absolutely nothing when you take the five or ten year horizon into account.
00:09:19.780 Supporting Canadian workers.
00:09:21.600 We've had auto companies move down to the south.
00:09:24.600 We've been losing jobs hand over fist in this country.
00:09:27.320 Yeah, you'll see sometimes monthly job growth, but that's just because naturally as the country's population increases, there are going to be some people getting employed.
00:09:35.960 But we've had months where we lost jobs or the GDP of the country fell like in October.
00:09:41.240 It's not been a good year for Canadian workers.
00:09:44.520 Yes, we've added jobs, but there are a lot of service worker jobs or public sector jobs.
00:09:49.600 We've invested in the Canadian Armed Forces.
00:09:52.740 Well, that's the investments really haven't even started yet.
00:09:55.300 He's just added to the budget.
00:09:57.340 We'll see how that goes.
00:09:58.520 Maybe that's going to be a good thing.
00:10:00.820 Attracting massive investment.
00:10:02.300 Now, I don't even know what that means because, again, we keep losing billions of dollars to the U.S., to China, to other countries because Canada is not a great economy to invest your money in.
00:10:13.380 The chances that you're actually going to grow an investment in Canada is far lower than the United States and many other countries around the planet.
00:10:22.480 Here's another video that we have to talk about.
00:10:24.520 This one was just from yesterday where he is rehashing the old Mike Myers ad again.
00:10:32.100 Look, it's the stupid elbows up ad that he did with Myers.
00:10:37.240 And in this video, it's entitled,
00:10:39.740 In 2025, we worked to make Canada stronger and had some fun along the way.
00:10:45.060 Well, as long as he's having fun while failing as prime minister, I guess that's okay, everyone.
00:10:50.560 We have to forgive him now.
00:10:51.660 He's having fun.
00:10:53.160 There will always be a Canada.
00:10:57.960 I mean, it's for you, sir.
00:11:00.160 You guys, inspiration to me personally.
00:11:02.420 Are you going to eat all of those?
00:11:04.280 Can I have one?
00:11:05.240 Thanks.
00:11:05.560 We are in a crisis.
00:11:08.540 McDavid is onside.
00:11:13.140 Now, considering that this ad is literally longer than the one where he was trying to tout his accomplishments,
00:11:21.720 he's kind of telling.
00:11:22.900 The fan reel of Mark Carney, oh my goodness, he's so hot, guys.
00:11:27.980 He's so hot.
00:11:28.600 Look at him running there.
00:11:29.340 He's so funny.
00:11:30.080 Remember when he took that donut from the guy?
00:11:35.600 Yeah.
00:11:36.560 That was really funny.
00:11:38.480 Maybe we should elect him again, guys.
00:11:40.920 Look at this.
00:11:43.060 I think he's a great prime minister.
00:11:45.320 I mean, he could represent me anytime.
00:11:47.540 Nico.
00:11:48.420 Yeah.
00:11:49.560 Aren't liberals going to be mad that he's throwing that clip of Trump in here?
00:11:53.440 Nico, come get some food.
00:11:56.020 There he goes.
00:11:58.220 Oh, guys, he's holding a cat.
00:12:00.320 Guys, he's holding a cat.
00:12:01.500 We have to reelect him now.
00:12:03.200 We have to reelect him now.
00:12:04.160 Guys, you slack-jawed fools.
00:12:07.720 Stop looking at the economic data.
00:12:09.720 Stop looking at everything else.
00:12:11.260 Stop looking at it.
00:12:11.940 Stop looking at the metrics.
00:12:13.200 He's holding a cat.
00:12:14.300 We have to reelect him.
00:12:15.760 We need this man to be prime minister for another 10 years.
00:12:20.600 So, you're proud of the alouettes.
00:12:22.260 Have you an allegiance tonight?
00:12:23.500 Do you have a team?
00:12:24.200 Do you take a team in particular?
00:12:25.740 I have to be a nut.
00:12:27.280 Bye.
00:12:28.220 Bye.
00:12:28.960 Bye.
00:12:29.280 Bye.
00:12:30.080 I don't know who's, like, buying this at all.
00:12:44.140 Like, again, it's just feel-good videos, but, like, my goodness, it's not a good month for the country, or the year for the country.
00:12:52.420 And you're just putting out these, like, cloying videos about how fun of a guy Mark Carney is.
00:12:58.440 And the video where you're trying to tout your accomplishments is much shorter, really vague, and has, like, less energy than this.
00:13:05.960 I'll rename the pizza for you.
00:13:12.280 The...
00:13:12.600 the...
00:13:12.720 it's the...
00:13:12.740 It's the...
00:13:13.140 Kearney Borg?
00:13:19.140 Guys, wasn't that a funny little schtick they just did there?
00:13:23.140 I love it.
00:13:24.140 If we put broccoli in, we'll be as tall as the trainer.
00:13:28.140 If you don't have broccoli, you'll end up like me.
00:13:30.140 You seem to have a good sense of humor for an economist.
00:13:33.140 For an economist.
00:13:34.140 Santé.
00:13:38.140 I don't know who looks at this stuff and likes the guy more.
00:13:43.140 The thing is, the narrative of Mark Kearney is that he's an out-of-touch elite.
00:13:48.140 And I don't actually think that that's a good narrative for any conservative to put out.
00:13:53.140 Because I think it's a bit weak.
00:13:54.140 It's a bit vague.
00:13:55.140 I would say that the better narrative against him is he's incompetent.
00:13:59.140 He just genuinely does not know what he's doing.
00:14:02.140 He just is riding on the back of a legacy of,
00:14:05.140 well, you know, I was the governor of the Bank of Canada and England.
00:14:08.140 Okay, well, why is the economy sucking?
00:14:10.140 Like, what have you actually done?
00:14:12.140 I made fun of David Cochran, Greg McEachern, who's like the liberal hack on power and politics,
00:14:17.140 and Fred DeLore, who's supposedly the conservative on that show,
00:14:21.140 because they were kept sitting around talking about,
00:14:23.140 oh my goodness, how different this liberal party feels under Mark Kearney.
00:14:27.140 Oh my goodness, all the stuff he's getting done.
00:14:29.140 And nobody could actually name anything he had done.
00:14:34.140 If you name anything, it's always just programs.
00:14:37.140 He started programs.
00:14:38.140 Have the programs done anything?
00:14:39.140 Well, no, but he started programs.
00:14:41.140 There's a new housing, like, building program.
00:14:45.140 There's, like, a major projects program.
00:14:48.140 We have this MOU he signed with Daniel Smith that's not actually going to get a pipeline built,
00:14:53.140 but he signed something.
00:14:54.140 That's basically everything Kearney's done.
00:14:56.140 It's like on paper.
00:14:57.140 Like, he signed a piece of paper.
00:14:59.140 He's agreeing that maybe we could build a pipeline one day on paper,
00:15:03.140 even though every stipulation makes it impossible.
00:15:05.140 He's, you know, signed a fast-tracking agreement for some random project that's already 90% done.
00:15:12.140 The liberals don't have anything to run on in 2025.
00:15:15.140 So we are left with Kearney,
00:15:17.140 cheersing a camera with a can of beer,
00:15:20.140 because the only way, we're just trying to make Canadians like him.
00:15:23.140 Maybe he can be kind of everyone's sort of fun neighbor.
00:15:27.140 He's not even a fun uncle.
00:15:28.140 He's like a fun neighbor you interact with sometimes,
00:15:31.140 and you've had a few kind of like, you know, you threw it back and forth a little bit verbally here and there,
00:15:36.140 and he's a little fun and, you know, got into your truck and went to the grocery store
00:15:39.140 and hoped that he doesn't talk to you for another few months.
00:15:41.140 That is the energy they're trying to get Kearney reelected under.
00:15:45.140 Oh, you know, he's a good, affable guy.
00:15:48.140 We elected him to get a trade deal done.
00:15:50.140 And now, apparently, we're not supposed to care about that,
00:15:53.140 because guys, guys, what is it here?
00:15:55.140 Do we have it?
00:15:58.140 I'm trying to find the cat.
00:15:59.140 Oh, guys.
00:16:01.140 It doesn't matter we didn't get a trade deal done.
00:16:03.140 Look, he has a cat.
00:16:04.140 He's holding a cat.
00:16:05.140 It doesn't matter.
00:16:06.140 It doesn't matter that he failed.
00:16:08.140 This stuff's also tiring.
00:16:10.140 I don't, again, I don't see anyone, especially from the more business liberal community,
00:16:14.140 the people who voted Kearney in the last election,
00:16:16.140 because maybe he's going to get a trade deal signed.
00:16:18.140 Maybe he's going to make the economy go great guns.
00:16:21.140 All this is just personally insulting to everybody who expected results.
00:16:25.140 This is a very Trudeau-like ad, actually.
00:16:28.140 It's extremely Trudeau.
00:16:30.140 It's surface level.
00:16:31.140 It's just trying to say, we all love Canada, don't we?
00:16:35.140 That means you have to like me.
00:16:37.140 Hey, I'm a funny guy sometimes.
00:16:39.140 I sit around and I, you know, I chop it up with my friends and we kind of banter and whatnot.

00:17:23.140 Like, share and subscribe and I'll see you all later.
