Wyatt Claypool breaks down the utter incompetence of Canadian politician Mark Carney, and why he is a complete no-show on the campaign trail. He is a liability, and no one should be surprised by this.

00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. I'm not currently in my normal studio space back in Calgary.
00:00:06.940 Sorry for the inconsistency that you'll notice in some of the videos, but you know what is
00:00:11.620 consistent in Canadian politics? Mark Carney is terrible at speaking. At some point, you would
00:00:17.940 think this guy would eventually learn how to be a little bit smoother on the stuff, get a little
00:00:23.960 bit better at asking questions. But in fact, it actually seems like Mark Carney is getting worse
00:00:29.360 whenever you hand him a microphone. The man has been in the public eye for over a decade, giving
00:00:35.300 speeches, sitting on panels, and he still speaks like he's a fifth grader giving a classroom
00:00:41.140 presentation and he doesn't know where it's going. Before I get into some of these clips,
00:00:45.560 I just want to remind you guys, if you like my coverage, hit the subscribe button, like this
00:00:49.320 video, leave a comment. But there's going to be some longer clips here, but I just want to hammer
00:00:55.120 home the fact that this guy thinks he can negotiate with U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:01:01.400 There is a reason why Trump wants this guy to win, not because he likes liberals, but he's
00:01:06.660 the president of the United States. He doesn't care what happens in Canada. And in fact, it
00:01:10.840 benefits Trump to negotiate against the stupidest, least competent person. And that in this case
00:01:16.440 is Mark Carney by a mile? They do not need DFO or federal authorization. And by the way, the context
00:01:23.820 of this question is just him being asked a question about First Nations fishing rights. And yeah, this is
00:01:29.540 about to go sideways. And they are going to fish to assert their inherent aboriginal rights. Do you
00:01:37.780 support this? What I support is dialogue which balances aboriginal rights, the realities of the
00:01:49.660 fishery that works towards a sustainable fishery here in Nova Scotia, throughout Atlantic Canada,
00:01:56.240 across this country. And it's one of many reasons why I'm proud to be standing up here with Jaime
00:02:02.820 Batista, and as well as Darren Fisher, and well as the whole group, because what we bring, and this
00:02:09.320 is a, this is a core point, this is a fundamental point. He's currently buying himself time because
00:02:14.040 he doesn't know what he's saying. So he's just going to say things about how fundamental all this
00:02:17.680 is. What the Liberal Party is bringing to this election is all of Canada, whether it's a Sean
00:02:23.760 Fraser, Jaime Batista, Darren Fisher, okay, I'm going to get in trouble, Lena, and beyond everyone
00:02:28.800 behind me, and beyond. This is horrific. And by the way, he mentioned, I might all get in trouble
00:02:35.220 here is because he doesn't even know his own candidates names. He's so badly prepped, and he
00:02:40.540 doesn't know anything about the actual political landscape. He's just a backroom policy guy, that he
00:02:45.460 can't actually keep his own candidates name straight. And that goes on for another minute of him either
00:02:49.960 just cycling through pre-rehearsed platitudes to buy himself time, or having absolutely nothing to say,
00:02:56.540 and just going um and ah with nothing else there. Here's another one where he is struggling to answer
00:03:02.700 a question in French. This is a 33 second clip, so bear with me. He is, this is him trying to answer
00:03:08.720 a question in French, and eventually he just gives up and just starts answering in English. This is how
00:03:12.580 bad his French is. This is why whenever I see a federal poll come out that has the Liberals doing
00:03:18.100 super well in Quebec, and the Bloc Québécois doing badly, I don't believe them. I think this guy's
00:03:23.740 going to get his clock cleaned. There is a reason why he is not going to attend the TVA debate. This
00:03:29.520 doesn't mean the Conservatives are going to win a big majority. I think it's more likely than not that
00:03:33.880 the Conservatives win some form of a government. There is a chance the Liberals win, obviously. The
00:03:39.080 election has tightened. I've never disputed that. But this guy, I don't think is going to come out
00:03:45.060 on top, just based on performances like this.
00:03:47.840 Pardon, the last part? Just, if you could translate your answer to the machine, is that you are
00:03:54.060 compromised? Compromised? Not at all. Not at all. I work for the Canadians and the Canadians.
00:04:00.060 It's easy. You see, Mr. Poiliev, he's a conspiracy theorist. Spends too much time with his MAGA
00:04:18.380 friends and he comes up with whatever he can think of. He literally couldn't figure out the words for that.
00:04:22.780 His French is terrible. And know whose French is excellent? Pierre Poiliev, Blanchet, even Jakemeet
00:04:29.860 Singh's French, compared to Mark Carney's, is excellent. Elizabeth Mays is good too, compared to
00:04:36.880 Mark Carney. That is why I think that this guy is going to become a complete dud when more Canadians
00:04:42.220 actually watch. Because early on the election, a lot of people are not really going to be paying
00:04:46.800 deep attention to what's going on. Even clips that Mark Carney's own people put up are horrific.
00:04:54.240 Here is one that he posted on his own X account, and it's just full of nothing. No energy, no detail,
00:05:01.600 nothing. This is about specifically the Trump tariffs on vehicles, on automobiles.
00:05:05.880 It will hurt us. But through this period, by being together, we will emerge stronger. I think what's
00:05:14.000 happened, and this was part of our discussion, over the course of the last several months, Canadian
00:05:20.880 workers, Canadians as a whole across this country, have gotten over the shock of the betrayal and are
00:05:30.580 learning lessons. We have to look out for ourselves, and we have to look out for each
00:05:36.340 other. Who likes this? If you know somebody who thinks he's great, goodness, commit them. Because
00:05:44.340 there's nothing going on in that guy's head. He is an AI that doesn't work properly, because he can't
00:05:49.980 actually be smooth like an AI would be. Here's another clip of him. This is, again, this is actually
00:05:55.120 specifically posted on the Liberals' X page. I'm not playing clips from, like, conservatives cutting
00:06:02.260 them out of context saying, this guy has no energy. These are the clips that the Liberals thought were
00:06:05.860 good. Canadian auto workers don't just build vehicles, they build Canada. And our auto sector
00:06:13.320 has always been there for our country. So in this time of uncertainty and need, Canada will be there
00:06:22.000 for our auto workers. It's nothing. It's gunk. But nobody's actually, this is, again, where I don't
00:06:30.320 believe that the conservatives are going to lose this election. Again, that doesn't mean there's not
00:06:34.820 the possibility. But in terms of my probabilities, I think you give a good 75, 80% chance right now for
00:06:41.980 the conservatives to win this election. Obviously, they can fall on their faces, never underestimate the
00:06:46.940 conservative party's ability to mess stuff up. But the one thing that they really have going into
00:06:51.860 this election is not just younger voters or young men, but it's union people now. This is basically a
00:06:59.460 guy on screen who is probably the key demographic right now for the conservative party. A voter who
00:07:04.520 probably last election cycle may have voted NDP or Liberal, but now is voting Conservative because of
00:07:09.740 the disrespect that the Liberals have, not just for private sector workers, but for even public sector
00:07:16.160 workers who work with their hands. Because the Liberals have become the party of pensioners. And I
00:07:21.420 know many of you guys would fall into the older pensioner category, but you're conservatives. But
00:07:26.560 their only demographics are people who are pensioners in the GTA and public sector workers who work
00:07:32.660 white collar jobs specifically.
00:07:35.080 There are unions endorsing the conservative government right now, publicly, with written letters,
00:07:40.600 with open letters. Never thought I'd ever see that. But that'll tell you something about how bad the Liberals
00:07:47.540 fucked up. I used to get calls from the president of our local, whoever the president was at the time, usually
00:07:54.300 about a month before an election. And then he'd tell me, oh, no, you gotta vote. You gotta vote Liberal or you gotta
00:07:59.620 vote NDP or you have to vote. You know, we're just suggesting and blah, blah, blah. We can't tell you what to do. We're
00:08:04.940 to suggest it. Just anything but conservative. To hear these guys change their fucking tune,
00:08:11.880 that was priceless. And really, really when it comes down to it, it's all about the money.
00:08:20.160 So long as we have a liberal government in power, the money is not going in the pockets of Canadians.
00:08:25.880 It's going overseas, foreign interests. That's just the truth of it. And that's my take.
00:08:30.180 I think that's a great take, other than the swearing. That would have been nice if I could
00:08:33.860 cut that out. But the show must go on. I don't have time to do that. But that's, I think, a big
00:08:38.600 key demographic that we're going to see, that the conservatives could actually get major pickups in
00:08:42.500 areas like Hamilton, any areas where there was manufacturing, anywhere there's hands-on jobs.
00:08:48.460 Because right now, the Liberal Party, I would say, is the party of soft jobs. And I work a soft job,
00:08:56.000 I will say. But the problem is that they have become a party for people who don't live the way
00:09:04.120 people lived like 30 years ago. The people who vote liberal work in marketing agencies and HR
00:09:09.180 departments. And they work as like accountants, because maybe they like the CRA rules right now.
00:09:14.920 But they've missed the old working class that used to swing towards whatever party seemed to have
00:09:20.620 better control of the country. And it would be so sad to see the conservatives not win at least a
00:09:25.160 minority government. Because it would show that there's a certain type of Canadian who just doesn't
00:09:29.920 really take issues seriously anymore. They're voting for fives. They just want to vote for whoever
00:09:33.980 isn't Donald Trump. And Pierre Polyev's Donald Trump for some reason, or whatever. And it's like, guys,
00:09:40.100 man, you're really taking the country for granted. If you think that the really the way we should be
00:09:46.300 voting is whatever would annoy somebody on Fox News. How would you vote for something that will
00:09:51.620 actually make the country better? You know, that will actually get GDP per capita up, not just pump
00:09:57.480 the GDP. Because so many people are single issue pension voters or are single issue social voters.
00:10:04.500 Oh, I want to feel socially like I care. And we need to be voting for the people who are socially
00:10:09.120 conscious. And the orange man is bad. It's like, oh, my goodness, people. How about like, and the thing
00:10:15.000 is, I still again, I still think the conservatives are probably in the lead right now and can win a
00:10:18.660 minority government. The fact that it's going to be dragging and kicking and pulling people to
00:10:23.780 get them to like vote for something like that, like, even reflects that you've taken economics
00:10:29.920 one on one is insane. Because so many people want to live in the fantasy world. They want to live in
00:10:35.540 the fantasy world. That soft politics all about how nice we want to vote for nice people. We want to
00:10:42.060 vote for, you know, the person who really cares and the person who's in stand up for Canada. Like,
00:10:45.920 what does that mean at the end of the day? At the same time, if Polyev proposed tomorrow,
00:10:49.360 we're going to cut the corporate taxes, all these people go, oh, my goodness, he's a corporate
00:10:52.740 stooge. I'm like, well, the Americans cut their corporate taxes. And now you're going to get mad
00:10:56.780 that Polyev wants to cut our corporate taxes. You don't actually care about the issues. You just
00:11:02.000 like to pretend you care about the issues. But now I'm debating with someone who's not even here.
00:11:07.200 Anyways, I know that none of you guys are reflected in that. But that's just my take on things right
00:11:12.360 now. That should be it for me today, guys. I'm going to do a bit of a polling update in the next
00:11:16.440 day or two to see where things are at, how things could shake out. Again, I trust good polling. That
00:11:22.480 doesn't mean that every poll that comes out that has the conservatives down is bad. It also doesn't
00:11:27.260 mean that every poll should be trusted or is indicative of anything. There are firms I don't
00:11:32.440 even listen to anymore because their numbers are so inconsistent over time. Could the conservatives
00:11:38.780 conceivably be down at this point? Sure. At the same time, when ICO says it's 52% liberal to like
00:11:45.000 35% conservative? No. No. They have like the conservatives losing in Alberta. No. Walk around
00:11:53.000 Alberta for five minutes and you'll know that's wrong. But anyways, so that's it for me today,
00:11:58.060 guys. Make sure to like the video, subscribe to the channel, leave a comment, do all that great
00:12:01.500 stuff. And I'll see you guys next time, hopefully from my nicer looking studio. See you.
