The United Conservative Party government in Alberta under Premier Daniel Smith just approved a new anti-racism grant program, along with another ethnocultural program, that the party was supposed to be against. Not only did they implicitly run against these sorts of programs during the election, running against woke politics and all that sort of divisive stuff, but at the AGM, it was very clear that the membership wanted this sorts of thing gone. They ran against left-wing ideology in the schools, they ran in favor of parental rights, and against this sort of affirmative action type dividing people based on their race, gender, class and other stuff. Yet, for some reason, the UCP lacks a spine and is pushing this stuff anyways.

00:03:57.160anti-racism program. It says, in December of 2023, the government separated the multiculturalism
00:04:03.060anti-racism grant programs into two new programs. And before anyone tells me, well, they didn't create
00:04:08.760a new program. They just split one program into two. Guess what? Those two programs' budgets are going
00:04:14.040to balloon over time. Now we have two budgets that can grow rather than just one bad budget that can grow.
00:04:19.080But there's going to be a lot of people doing that. Just get rid of them. Get rid of them. These are
00:04:23.780not vital government services. So it says, in December of 2023, the government separated the
00:04:29.780multiculturalism anti-racism grant program into two new programs, an ethno-cultural grant program
00:04:36.100and an anti-racism grant program. The separation falls advice from the Alberta Anti-Racism Advisory Council.

00:05:17.080currently open for applications. And I want to get down to how much this costs. It says,
00:05:22.220quick facts. Budget 2023 allocated $8 million over three years to the ethno-cultural grant program,
00:05:27.580and $1.5 million over three years for the anti-racism grant program. The ethno-cultural
00:05:32.160grant program has two streams. Stream one is for projects that create opportunities for
00:05:36.260intercultural connections with ethnic, ethno-cultural indigenous groups, funding up to $50,000. And I
00:05:42.540assume that's $50,000 per potential event or program being given the grant. Stream two is for
00:05:48.840projects that create opportunities to celebrate diversity, funding up to $15,000. This will become
00:05:54.460such a racket. It will become such a racket of fake little community groups saying, we're putting on a
00:06:00.340diversity ball or something like that. And they get $15,000 to do this one day event, which cost them
00:06:06.120only probably a couple thousand dollars to really do. And they just pocket a bunch of the money.
00:06:09.820This is the, we have a nonprofit industry in Canada, nonprofit groups that get government grants to not
00:06:15.620even fulfill the, what they promise. It's just a burning of money. I actually do help out a nonprofit
00:06:22.300group in Alberta. We actually generate the Alberta government and the province money. I'm not going to
00:06:27.380say what it is. I want people to attack them because, oh, why it's right wing or something stupid
00:06:31.240like that. But we actually do good work. We also don't get very little money. But the fact
00:06:36.120that we're giving $15,000 to a nothing event, to nothing initiatives is insane to me. This is

00:08:35.320and address racism. Ridiculous. Get rid of this program. If you keep this program or you defend
00:08:40.940this program, I don't know if you're conservative or not. This is a terrible program. If you cannot see
00:08:45.960why cutting this is not a fantastic win for the taxpayer, I don't think you understand conservatism.
