00:00:00.000 I never thought it was possible. And in a certain sense, I'm kind of impressed. But British Columbia Premier David Eby may be a worse liar than Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
00:00:11.760 Justin Trudeau tells really stupid lies, like we're the best economy in the G7 based on really skewed metrics where our GDP is technically going up faster than other countries, even though our GDP per capita is falling towards the earth because we're just growing our GDP based on population growth, not based on actual productivity.
00:00:32.780 But David Eby will say something that is so profoundly wrong and just so obviously a lie that it makes you wonder if he's just trying to gaslight you and just failing miserably.
00:00:47.180 He did a press conference the other day where he claimed that they are now hiring nurses and doctors at a faster rate than ever before.
00:00:55.680 Like, if you're in B.C., you already know why this is the dumbest possible thing for him to say.
00:01:00.980 Like, he shouldn't even be wading into the general ballpark of the issue of health care.
00:01:08.040 Everyone knows he sucks on that topic on multiple fronts, mostly because he has fired nurses and doctors for not being vaccinated for COVID-19, a virus that does not even matter anymore, still won't let them come back to work.
00:01:21.940 But he actually posted this to his own X account.
00:01:25.460 This wasn't just in a press conference where if you dug through the two hours that went on, you can find him saying something stupid.
00:01:31.780 No, he thought this was good content.
00:01:33.880 He thought he looked good in this clip.
00:01:35.900 This was going to be a big vote getter in B.C.
00:01:39.080 When if really all the NDP should be doing is just promising spending, just promise money all over the place like they have nothing left.
00:01:47.800 Their party is losing momentum hard.
00:01:49.660 The Conservatives in B.C. are gaining momentum fast despite not even existing more than a year and a half ago.
00:01:56.260 And now, like, he somehow thinks that he's going to talk about health care.
00:02:00.260 One of the big negatives for his government, I think like 78 percent of people last time I checked in the polling that they did on issues, 78 percent of people think the current government sucks on the issue of health care.
00:02:11.720 And you're going to talk about it more?
00:02:13.080 If anything, I admire the spine on this guy for standing up there knowing that he looks like a complete clown.
00:02:19.600 But before I get into this clip and this post you put up, make sure if you do live in B.C. that you've donated to the B.C. Conservatives.
00:02:27.180 It's very difficult to actually gain a lot of funding to fight the NDP in this election.
00:02:31.480 The maximum someone can donate is only $1,400, which is even less than the federal amount.
00:02:37.580 You get 50 percent of your money back if you donate up to $550.
00:02:42.080 You get 75 percent of your money back up to $100.
00:02:45.140 So make sure you do donate.
00:02:47.000 I have a link in the description below for Bruce Bandman's campaign.
00:02:50.640 I'm helping him out in Abbotsford South right now.
00:02:53.200 If we win this riding, we can win the rest of them in the Fraser Valley and we can actually get a majority government.
00:02:58.060 So make sure if you live in B.C., do that.
00:03:01.240 But now let's get into what David Eby has posted here.
00:03:05.200 He says, we're hiring more doctors and nurses than ever in B.C.
00:03:09.260 The Comox Valley is proof.
00:03:11.300 Soon, 9 out of 10 people in the region will be attached to a doctor or nurse practitioner.
00:03:16.000 Our goal is to make sure everyone in B.C. has access to health care when they need it.
00:03:20.720 And before I get into the video here, maybe I'll do this right away.
00:03:23.740 I want to pull up.
00:03:24.960 Yeah, here we go right here.
00:03:25.860 He's found one area of the province where his record doesn't look like complete garbage.
00:03:32.100 And obviously, every province, even though generally Canadian health care across the board has been going down in quality year after year because the public system is destroying incentives for people to become doctors.
00:03:44.800 But yes, 9 out of 10 people in the Comox Valley might have a doctor.
00:03:49.120 But in general, the record has been terrible in B.C.
00:03:52.160 Look at this.
00:03:53.160 These are people who have a health care professional that they're attached to.
00:03:57.360 In between 2015-16, 83.4% of B.C. had a doctor.
00:04:03.200 By 1920, it's 81.7%.
00:04:05.980 And I know since this statistic was taken, it's fallen to about 78%.
00:04:11.520 It's gotten even worse.
00:04:13.980 The idea that we're going to find this small region of the province for say, oh, 90% of people have a general practitioner.
00:04:20.180 That's pathetic that you would even think that this was a good thing to bring up when your entire record overall has been horrible.
00:04:27.980 Yeah, like surgeries in the last, in that people are able to get a surgery within 48 hours, a hip fracture surgery.
00:04:35.740 In 2018-19, you could get, 86.3% of people would get that surgery within 48 hours.
00:04:43.320 Now it's only 72.3% in the 22-23 fiscal year.
00:04:48.940 Again, nuts, nuts that this guy even thinks he can bring up health care, thinks he can bring it up with any level of credibility.
00:04:56.140 And I hope that he keeps bringing it up because he keeps hurting himself by doing this.
00:05:00.400 He doesn't understand that people don't see him as an authority.
00:05:04.240 He was acclaimed by his party to become the premier.
00:05:06.920 His own party, for some reason, the radicals in his party like him because he is a radical.
00:05:11.580 But even they knew this guy can't even probably beat another NDP, MLA, or some random guy to become the premier.
00:05:19.320 So we got to basically bully everyone into not fighting him because he comes off like an out-of-touch activist.
00:05:25.680 Because he literally is an out-of-touch protester activist who became the premier.
00:05:31.480 In his own riding, I'm going to do an interview at some point with a conservative candidate from Point Grey.
00:05:37.200 He could lose his riding in Vancouver Point Grey.
00:05:39.700 That's how weak of a candidate he is.
00:05:42.280 That riding is like a coin toss between him and his opponent.
00:05:44.900 Even though other MPs, MLA, sorry, in the Vancouver area, other NDP MLAs are actually safe.
00:05:52.860 He's not because people don't like him.
00:05:55.540 Here we go.
00:05:56.440 Here's the video he posted along with this claim that we're doing super well in healthcare these days.
00:06:01.260 Well, tons of nurses and doctors everywhere.
00:06:03.040 You can see here our vision for healthcare.
00:06:06.880 The network of all the different services working together, supporting each other, nurse practitioners, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, various kinds, pulling together.
00:06:16.820 And that partnership between people here in the Valley, healthcare professionals here in the Valley, the provincial government with our new agreement with the doctors of BC to recognize family physicians, to support the training and availability of nurse practice.
00:06:36.680 This guy cannot get through a small statement without, like, bombarding, machine gunning, just like a drive-by shooting of ums and ahs.
00:06:45.820 You're just here to, like, try and pump up your record, and he knows he's lying.
00:06:51.280 That's why he can't get through this without stumbling all over himself.
00:06:54.220 And let's be very clear here.
00:07:10.720 What David Eby is effectively admitting to is even in the best, even in the best county, even in the best district of British Columbia, he doesn't even have 100% of people attached to a GP.
00:07:23.440 Even in his best area, they are approaching 90%.
00:07:27.080 That's sad.
00:07:28.600 That's horrible.
00:07:29.520 In certain areas of the province, there's less than 50% of people who have a general practitioner.
00:07:34.400 People are leaving to the U.S.
00:07:35.900 He fired 2,300-plus, I think it was actually 2,800, nurses and doctors for not being vaccinated.
00:07:43.340 The wait times in BC are now becoming worse than Alberta.
00:07:47.380 I'm from Alberta.
00:07:48.660 It's actually pretty bad in Alberta because even though we spend the most per capita, we just do not make it easy to be a nurse or doctor just based on all of just the bureaucracy, paperwork, and whatnot.
00:07:59.500 It's just annoying.
00:08:00.480 So people go to the U.S.
00:08:01.640 So many of the people, even if the BC Conservatives get back in, it might be hard to actually convince them to come back and work for BC Health again because they might be able to go down to the U.S.
00:08:10.600 or go to a different province where they may get treated better.
00:08:12.960 I hope they come back, but this is the position the NDPs put the next government in, and I believe it will be the Conservatives.
00:08:19.820 Hopefully, make sure to donate.
00:08:21.320 Again, description below.
00:08:22.560 That's the only advantage the NDP has over the BC Conservatives at this point is money.
00:08:27.380 Nobody likes them on the issues.
00:08:28.720 David Eby is a charisma vacuum, and now the only thing that they have is the fact that they have a lot of union allies and money from those areas.
00:08:37.880 They've basically been trying to crack down on the way that you can fund your campaigns in order to try and prevent any challengers to them.
00:08:44.620 So while they already have a lot of money from having a lot of infrastructure being the incumbent government, and they have a lot of union and other front group, you know, activist allies who can spend money on their behalf but not directly, they've made it almost impossible to fundraise.
00:08:57.960 But here's another thing I actually want to quickly bring up.
00:09:00.300 So I'm trying to find this post.
00:09:02.760 I posted a little bit earlier.
00:09:04.720 So the NDP is actually running effectively a fascist candidate in, I think, Surrey Newton.
00:09:13.160 So in, yeah, in Surrey Newton, this lady, Jessie Sooner, who was just announced as the candidate yesterday, actually calls her in her bio.
00:09:21.860 So it says human rights activist, labor lawyer for, you know, some hospital union, trade unionist, community activist, BCNDP nomination candidate for Surrey Newton.
00:09:32.500 Trade unionism, I'm not sure if you guys know what trade unionism means.
00:09:36.460 It doesn't mean that you support unions.
00:09:38.680 That's not what that means.
00:09:40.160 If that was all it would mean, it would be like a worthless term.
00:09:43.380 You could just say I like unions.
00:09:44.500 Trade unionism, translated into Italian, means fascism because in France it was called syndicalism because they called their unions syndicates.
00:09:54.440 In Italy they called their unions fascio and so they called it fascism.
00:09:59.040 This lady is actually in favor of the idea that governments and unions should control society and the economy, that everything should be unionized.
00:10:07.980 Everything by that logic should then be nationalized.
00:10:11.300 If EB is surrounding himself with more activists, it's not going to get any better.
00:10:16.480 There's a reason why after Bonnie Henry, he went along with her firing all the nurses and doctors.
00:10:22.080 It wasn't that that was Bonnie Henry's call and he's going to respect it.
00:10:25.460 No, he agreed with her.
00:10:26.840 And that's why when she proposed selling meth, heroin, all other illicit drugs in any grocery store, convenience store, he said, oh, well, we disagree with her.
00:10:36.740 The health minister came out and said, well, we won't take Bonnie Henry's advice on this one, even though they knew this report was coming for months and they could have told her, no, you're going to scrap that and also get out of here.
00:10:47.740 They didn't do any of that.
00:10:49.200 They still have her employed because David EB will do that someday.
00:10:53.120 I guarantee if he wins the election, pilot program will be launched in some city to start selling safe supply drugs in those are safe supply drugs in their retail and retail locations.
00:11:03.680 They'll do it. And the thing is, it actually makes sense to do it.
00:11:06.680 Not in the sense it's a good idea. Safe supply is horrible.
00:11:10.280 Part of my master's degree when I did on public policy was studying crime in cities like Toronto and Vancouver.
00:11:17.000 And one of the big spikes in crime that occurred was when safe injection sites were opened and safe supply was started.
00:11:23.660 That is when you see a big spike in crime as well as drug deaths.
00:11:27.640 It's not a good program.
00:11:28.880 But from the logic of somebody who believes in safe supply and safe injection sites and all this decriminalization garbage, why doesn't it make sense to sell drugs everywhere?
00:11:37.860 So by David EB saying, no, I'm not going to do the safe supply everywhere thing.
00:11:42.080 He's effectively lying because if he believes that the way that we save lives and the way that we make our communities better in terms of drug deaths is we just put even more drugs out there, but safe drugs.
00:11:53.220 Why wouldn't you sell them at retail locations? Because right now, if it's such a great program, why not expand it?
00:11:59.300 It's not a good program. He thinks it's a good program.
00:12:02.620 He just thinks we're too close to an election to announce it because at least at the same time, he's dumb enough to think safe supply is good.
00:12:09.160 He's not dumb enough to think that he can market this during a provincial election that they're like they're falling down the drain.
00:12:17.100 And like, again, look at these numbers right here. These are the only two polls I'll show you, but these are decided voters in British Columbia.
00:12:23.800 The B.C. conservatives and NDP are tied at 37 percent.
00:12:27.180 When you throw in some undecided voters there, there's a lot of wiggle room and there's a lot of people, not just I guarantee a lot of people will go from NDP to conservative as the candidates hit the doors.
00:12:37.060 But the NDP only has 44 percent of B.C. residents considering them with only 2 percent more people who don't know yet.
00:12:43.520 But that's a horrible number. The conservatives have 51 percent of people considering them and still 8 percent more to win over.
00:12:50.580 They definitely have the momentum. But I'll leave this video off here.
00:12:54.440 But again, if you live in British Columbia, I have the donation link to Bruce Bandman in Abbotsford South down here.
00:13:00.320 We're trying to collect enough money so that we can 100 percent win this riding.
00:13:04.060 And then we will start distributing funds to other areas in the Fraser Valley to win this area.
00:13:09.480 It's a keystone region. If we can win the majority of ridings in the Fraser Valley, we can dig into the donut around the Vancouver area, win a couple of seats up in Vancouver Island, northern Vancouver Island.
00:13:22.240 This is a very winnable election, and we are probably on track to win a five, six seat majority.
00:13:29.320 But we just need the funds. Again, you get 75 percent of your money back if you donate $100.
00:13:35.620 If you donate up to $550, you get 50 percent of your money back.
00:13:40.060 The only advantage the NDP has at this point is money either through donors or through union front groups.
00:13:46.860 So make sure you donate so that the conservatives actually have the money to fight out this election.
00:13:50.560 I know a lot of ridings where they're only working with a couple thousand dollars at this point.
00:13:55.340 So if we can pump that up, it becomes very competitive.
00:13:58.540 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
00:14:00.740 If you don't live in BC, you can donate to my own legal fund in the description below.
00:14:04.580 It's the Give, Send, Go link or sign up at my website, WyattClaypool.com.
00:14:08.660 If you want updates on local races in your area, it allows me, if you have a question about a nomination going on in your riding for the federal conservatives, for a provincial party,
00:14:17.880 I can look at the candidates and then everyone else in that postal code that you live near, I can send all of you information on who's good, who's bad, things to watch out for.
00:14:27.780 So it allows us to have kind of, you know, being able to project a little bit more organized power in some of these ridings and some of these nominations where even just a few votes do make a difference.
00:14:38.440 Anyways, that's it for me today.
00:14:40.260 Have a good one.
