Summary

The BC NDP has an endorsement from former premier John Horgan, but what does that mean for the upcoming election? And why did he endorse David Eby's BC NDP in the first place? Also, the BC Tories are getting a lot of support from former premiers and former premier Bill Vanderput and Gordon Campbell.

00:00:00.000 Just a quick video today on the British Columbia provincial election, but I came across this last
00:00:06.660 night and I just started investigating because something seemed off about it, even though this
00:00:12.060 is so typical in an election to get an endorsement from a previous party leader. So the BCNDP last
00:00:19.560 night posted this image of John Horgan. It's a nice little quote graphic and it says,
00:00:25.260 we've accomplished so much together. Let's keep building on the progress we've made.
00:00:28.960 Vote for the BCNDP and it says, sign John Horgan. Did he endorse them? I actually don't think
00:00:37.420 that John Horgan actually endorsed David Eby's BCNDP. And it would make sense why he wouldn't
00:00:43.460 have endorsed them because if you look at all the polling of people who voted in 2020 for the BCNDP,
00:00:49.720 a good third of them aren't voting for David Eby's version of the BCNDP in 2024. Rumor has it,
00:00:56.700 and when I say rumor, I mean, basically everyone knows it's true. John Horgan detests David Eby
00:01:02.520 because as much as I, as a conservative, don't agree with many of John Horgan's policy positions
00:01:08.040 on many issues, John Horgan is also not a crazy socialist and he despises the hyper-progressivism
00:01:15.280 of David Eby, that he is a know-it-all loudmouth who's never actually, you know, run a business
00:01:20.980 before, done anything productive. He's just an activist. As soon as John Horgan left as premier,
00:01:25.420 he joined the board of a coal company and now he's like the ambassador for Canada
00:01:29.520 in Germany. He does not want anything to do with David Eby. And so when I started snooping around
00:01:35.480 wondering what was going on with John Horgan endorsement, I started checking out his social
00:01:39.700 media. Has he posted anything? And no, he hasn't. The last thing he posted was back in June and it's
00:01:44.900 all stuff about Germany and Canadian relations. That's it. He's not posting anything about the
00:01:51.480 current David Eby NDP telling people to vote for them. And I checked the news. Maybe in the news,
00:01:57.340 he issued an article saying, I think people should stand behind the BC NDP or maybe even just the guy
00:02:03.180 who replaced him in his old writing, Ravi Parmar, who I've said before, has the political timing of
00:02:09.260 a bowling ball going through a plate glass window. And no, this is the current news tab on John Horgan,
00:02:15.640 them just reporting on him having a relapse of cancer for the third time. I hope he's doing well.
00:02:21.000 He seems like a very nice man. And I believe that it's only a minor relapse that he can quickly get
00:02:26.300 over. And since then, he hasn't said anything. And right after that, remember when his cancer
00:02:32.320 relapsed, the BC NDP had the unmitigated audacity to put out a data mining email and post on social media
00:02:40.900 saying, sign his get well card and ask people to sign up to their website. And then they'd get email
00:02:47.600 updates about John's condition and letting him know that they all support him. And then the fine
00:02:52.220 print, they say, we'll also send you emails about everything else and ask you for money constantly
00:02:56.380 and all that stuff. The reason I think this is going on, which they didn't have to do it. This is
00:03:02.080 embarrassingly pathetic, the fact that they posted this. And the sad thing is the BC NDP could still win
00:03:08.120 this election. So if you live in British Columbia and you haven't voted during the advanced polls,
00:03:12.900 you have to show up on October 19th. I don't care if it's a massive rainstorm, please go out and vote.
00:03:19.160 Do not let these guys get back into office. They are crazy socialists. But I think the reason that
00:03:25.100 they did this was because the BC conservatives have been getting a lot of endorsements from former
00:03:31.200 premiers. Bill Van Der Zeeam supports them. They have Gordon Campbell both endorsing the party as well as
00:03:37.180 specific MLA candidates like Lynn Block. I believe Melissa Genova got the endorsement of Gordon
00:03:44.600 Campbell as well. He's endorsed the party both in print as well as in radio interviews. He's standing
00:03:51.400 behind the BC Conservative Party quite strongly. He's even willing to admit basically that the carbon tax
00:03:57.180 was a mistake back when he implemented it and that he wants John Rustad to become the premier and do
00:04:02.800 everything that he's promised to do. And because somehow the BC NDP are losing the endorsement game
00:04:10.120 despite the fact that the conservatives are an upstart party and in theory don't have a lot of
00:04:14.240 former politicians that are naturally going to endorse them because they're from the same party.
00:04:19.140 They're all from either the BC Liberals, they're from the Federal Conservatives, or they're from the
00:04:22.580 Social Credit Party. They're not having a problem. The BC NDP are having a problem. And another issue is
00:04:28.160 that some of their endorsements are toxic. They have like Noor Mohamed, I forget his first name,
00:04:33.540 a bunch of Liberal MPs coming out and endorsing their guys, which is just substantiating the accurate
00:04:40.040 charge by the BC Conservatives that the BC NDP are going to work hand in glove with the Federal
00:04:46.100 Liberals, who nobody in this province likes. Everyone is pretty much voting for somebody other
00:04:51.580 than the Federal Liberals. And so if you don't like the Federal Liberals, which describes 75% of people in
00:04:57.320 this province at least, I think the Liberals only actually get like 20% in this province,
00:05:01.820 that if you don't like them, why would you then want the party who the Federal Liberals likes? Why
00:05:07.700 would you want the BC NDP if Justin Trudeau wants them to stay in power? It makes absolutely no sense.
00:05:14.360 And this post was just symptomatic of the current position that the BC NDP are in. They again, they could
00:05:20.920 still pull off a win where even if the Conservatives get the popular vote, maybe just the right marbles roll
00:05:26.380 down the right holes for the BC NDP and they get the right votes in certain ridings, but it's not
00:05:31.360 looking great. There was a record-breaking turnout in the early polls showing a million people voted
00:05:38.040 and only 671,000 people voted in the early polls back in 2020 during a COVID election where people
00:05:46.480 were basically voting early to avoid the pandemic or whatever, that this year we've smashed that record.
00:05:52.200 And typically, whenever you're in an election where people don't like the incumbent government,
00:05:58.360 if turnout is high, it's probably not a lot of people showing up to defend them. It could be,
00:06:03.260 it just doesn't seem like it would be the sort of, it wouldn't be like high turnout doesn't usually
00:06:08.220 mean people are defending a government where by the polling data, people think they're doing a bad
00:06:13.380 job on pretty much every single issue under the sun. Other than these really tiny minor issues that
00:06:18.660 don't drive anyone's votes, like who has better relations with the federal government? Like
00:06:22.620 people will rate EB positively on that, but even then people don't want you to be working with the
00:06:28.160 federal government well because they're doing terrible things for the country on immigration,
00:06:33.220 on taxes, regulations, anti-energy policies, all that sort of a thing. So anyways, this, I'm just
00:06:39.800 going to keep it short today and I'm going to re-emphasize, if you live in British Columbia and you do not
00:06:44.620 vote, I don't know what's wrong with you. You have to vote if you're eligible to vote in this province
00:06:49.240 because we cannot have the BCNDP keep ruling you. Imagine if Polyev becomes the prime minister next
00:06:55.880 year and you guys get left as the only ones with a carbon tax still. I'm hitting doors every single
00:07:01.500 day. There's a lot of other people hitting doors. It'll be the 19th. I've heard it's going to be
00:07:05.480 torrential rain across most of British Columbia. It doesn't matter if the weather sucks. You got to vote
00:07:10.400 if you haven't voted yet. And so, you know, badger your neighbors, badger your friends,
00:07:15.140 do all that sort of thing. Anyways, that's it for me today, guys. If you want to support the show,
00:07:20.500 in the description of this video below, I have a link to my Give, Send, Go legal fund. You can
00:07:24.880 contribute to that if you want to help us out. We have a billionaire Chinese developer suing us for
00:07:29.160 defamation. And in almost three years, he hasn't even filed a single piece of evidence to show we
00:07:34.240 defamed him. Our guest writer literally just referenced a Globe and Mail investigative article about him.
00:07:39.360 And because we referenced someone else's work that he never sued them over, he's suing us because he
00:07:44.500 didn't think I would be able to pay to mount a defense. It's nonsensical lawfare type tactics.
00:07:49.960 Anyways, it's cost me more than $33,000. So in the description below and pinned at the top of the
00:07:55.060 comments is a fundraising link. And then you can also, you know, like this video, subscribe, share it.
00:08:01.000 It really helps the show up if you recommend it to other people. Have a good one, everyone.
