00:00:00.000 It shouldn't surprise you that Ontario Progressive Conservative Premier Doug Ford has been kissing up to the Liberals for years now.
00:00:08.780 And that's because Doug Ford himself is a Liberal.
00:00:12.980 I don't know how people don't see this. I was talking about it heavily during the Ontario Provincial election.
00:00:19.460 But at every opportunity that Doug Ford has, he always sides with or gushes over Liberals while also ignoring other Conservative allies. 0.97
00:00:28.460 In fact, at times, even kicking them in the shins almost out of pure spite.
00:00:34.080 You may have seen this news report clip a couple weeks back when Mark Carney was first elected as the new Liberal Party leader. 0.87
00:00:42.040 And Doug Ford went on American television to talk about how much of a smart guy he is.
00:00:47.540 You guys are going through a transition in leadership as well. You're about to have a new Prime Minister, Mark Carney.
00:00:53.280 Have you spoken to him since he won? And where do you expect him to take this fight?
00:00:58.460 Well, I spoke to him yesterday. He's a very bright individual. He understands finances like no other person.
00:01:07.020 And we need to sit down, which we will tomorrow. We're going to have breakfast tomorrow morning.
00:01:12.300 And we'll have a strong strategy.
00:01:14.880 Has Doug Ford ever said anything nice about a Conservative, like an actual Conservative in Canada?
00:01:23.060 He's, in fact, antagonizing people like Alberta Conservative Premier Danielle Smith.
00:01:28.640 And when given the opportunity by a reporter in the Ontario legislature to say whether or not he likes Pierre Polyev or Mark Carney more,
00:01:38.620 he basically just punts without even saying a nice thing about Polyev.
00:01:42.900 He's only said nice things about Chrystia Freeland, Justin Trudeau, and now Mark Carney.
00:01:48.280 And even when explicitly given the opportunity to prove that he is not, in fact, a Liberal and can side with Conservatives sometimes,
00:01:56.100 or even to say something mildly nice, no, he punts because, hmm, doesn't really want to say anything about Polyev.
00:02:03.460 Do you think you have a better relationship with Mark Carney or Pierre Polyev?
00:02:07.080 I don't know either one of them, to be very frank.
00:02:09.580 Who would you like to get to know better?
00:02:11.120 Either one. I'll work with anyone.
00:02:12.660 I don't, I don't know either. 0.99
00:02:17.340 It's such a stupid answer because everybody knows who he likes better. 0.99
00:02:21.920 Because given an opportunity to say something nice about a Liberal, he takes it. 1.00
00:02:26.400 And he has dodged for years saying anything about Conservatives.
00:02:30.880 He effectively didn't ever do any campaigning or even say something nice about Andrew Scheer when he was a leader.
00:02:36.940 He also avoided Aaron O'Toole,
00:02:38.640 but it wasn't for principled reasons that O'Toole was too much of a Liberal for Doug Ford.
00:02:43.200 In fact, for Doug Ford, O'Toole was probably still not Liberal enough.
00:02:47.240 And then he goes on posting long soliloquies about how much he is confident in Mark Carney.
00:02:54.440 He says in this post,
00:02:55.620 And you could say all this is a generic, of course he's going to say that he's the Ontario Premier and Mark Carney is the Prime Minister.
00:03:14.140 The problem is, again, the man himself has governed to the left.
00:03:20.500 He runs bigger deficits and has accumulated more debt in his short period of time than Kathleen Wynne did when she was the Premier,
00:03:28.420 even when you remove COVID spending from the formula.
00:03:32.020 It's absolutely wild.
00:03:33.500 Now I want to highlight this statement made by my friend and the MLA for Chestermere Strathmore, Chantal DeYoung,
00:03:41.760 noting that Doug Ford has been basically playing fast and loose with Alberta's oil and gas resources,
00:03:47.920 basically pretending like he has the power to turn off the taps to the US
00:03:51.580 to fight his overly aggressive war on trade with the United States that he just doesn't have the capacity to win
00:03:58.640 because he's been so bad for the Ontario economy.
00:04:01.340 And now he thinks he can borrow into the Alberta economy to fight the battles that he is helping perpetuate.
00:04:07.520 Hey, Honourable Member for Chestermere Strathmore.
00:04:10.580 Mr. Speaker, since its inception, Alberta has always had to defend itself against outside forces.
00:04:16.300 From before provincehood, people have looked greedily upon the resources and wealth of our province
00:04:21.600 and wanted to take it for themselves.
00:04:23.800 Clifford Sifton, Minister of the Interior, when Alberta became a province, said,
00:04:27.660 We desire, and all Canadian patriots desire, that the great trade of the prairies
00:04:31.640 shall go to enrich our people to the east, to build up our factories and our places of work
00:04:37.360 and in every legitimate way to our prosperity.
00:04:40.000 If Ottawa had its way, we would exist only to enrich the east,
00:04:43.500 with our wealth forever redirected without fair compensation or respect for our autonomy.
00:04:48.940 We owe much to Frederick Haltain, who fought tirelessly for our sovereignty.
00:04:54.260 Even if this meant challenging the political currents of the time, Haltain was our defiant champion.
00:05:00.120 Time and time again, Albertans have faced attempts by eastern elites to leverage our resources for their own gain, 0.94
00:05:06.740 peaking with the national energy program in the 80s,
00:05:09.220 devastating lives and livelihoods in the name of making Alberta do its part for Team Canada.
00:05:15.380 So when the Premier of Ontario tells us to implement export taxes on our oil as a trump card in the trade war with the US,
00:05:22.380 something he won't do for automobiles, it comes as no surprise to us.
00:05:26.860 Mr. Speaker, Albertans will make these decisions about our own resources, not a politician in the east.
00:05:32.140 Great statement there. I don't need to play any more of it because I believe it cuts over to another minister
00:05:37.500 answering a question as like, you know, an add on to what Chantel says,
00:05:42.380 because obviously people in the same parties will sometimes still ask a question to a minister
00:05:46.300 to get more information on it to the public.
00:05:49.160 But yeah, Doug Ford around every corner has acted like a liberal elite in the east.
00:05:54.920 The man has never done anything that makes me think,
00:05:57.780 oh, look at him thumbing his nose at the federal liberals.
00:06:00.600 He goes in with the federal liberals on every single green boondoggle he can find.
00:06:05.720 And guess what he just did?
00:06:07.100 He added his new swearing in for his new government that he effectively fraudulently got
00:06:12.100 from calling a snap election while nobody was prepared
00:06:14.980 and not having an election actually based on his merits.
00:06:18.260 He specifically invited along disgraced former finance minister,
00:06:24.000 Chrystia Freeland, who I guess is the minister of transportation now.
00:06:27.460 And it's funny how her and Ford keep saying gushingly nice things about each other.
00:06:33.240 Literally, she calls Ford her therapist.
00:06:35.860 He calls her one of the most competent people or one of the most competent ministers he's ever met.
00:06:40.540 And here's her at the swearing in talking about the great relationship that they have.
00:06:44.760 It's important to see a strong partnership between the federal government and Ontario.
00:06:49.400 And, you know, specifically, I had a great cup of coffee with the premier yesterday.
00:06:55.280 He struggled a little bit working his coffee machine.
00:06:57.900 We met in his house, but he got it working.
00:07:00.420 I'm excited to be the minister for inter-percential trade.
00:07:03.300 And that's something premier Ford and I discussed yesterday.
00:07:06.000 Sometimes there's a thing everyone knows is a good idea and do it.
00:07:10.020 And I'm excited that this is that moment for Canada and inter-percential trade.
00:07:14.000 Premier Ford has a strong mandate from the people of Ontario.
00:07:17.680 And I think today is, I'm glad to be here to show the partnership between the federal and provincial governments.
00:07:23.880 Why is she so bright and sunny if he's not a liberal?
00:07:27.420 You think that she would be like, yes, I'm here to work with him.
00:07:29.940 I think he's been, you know, maybe doing a decent job on this stuff.
00:07:32.900 And we had good discussions.
00:07:33.800 It's like this very smiley, faulty smile that we have a great relationship.
00:07:38.860 Oh, I was over at his house and he was struggling to make coffee.
00:07:42.220 Such a wacky relationship that we have.
00:07:44.880 And it sounds like they are flat out just knowing that the provincial progressive conservatives
00:07:50.720 are effectively the liberals on the provincial level.
00:07:54.740 Crombie may be a liberal, but what's really the difference between Bonnie Crombie and Doug Ford?
00:07:59.760 Even if you throw in the NDP's merit styles,
00:08:01.940 I couldn't tell you that much significantly different between the two of them or the three of them
00:08:06.860 when it comes to policy.
00:08:08.940 And again, you could say maybe that's all boilerplate stuff.
00:08:12.140 Maybe Christy Freeland always talks like this about different politicians.
00:08:16.900 No, but does she usually take selfies with them like this? 0.99
00:08:20.940 Is she usually this wanting to be associated with Doug Ford?
00:08:25.760 And if Doug Ford is a real conservative,
00:08:28.920 even if let's say he's personal friends with Freeland,
00:08:32.200 you know, they used to be on a bowling team together.
00:08:34.380 I don't know.
00:08:34.940 They're like blood brothers and sisters because they fought in some war we didn't know about together.
00:08:40.760 You should know that a lot of Canadians, especially conservatives,
00:08:44.340 don't like Freeland and not for frivolous reasons.
00:08:47.760 For the reasons of absolutely demolishing Canada's economy as finance minister.
00:08:53.440 Technically, that's mostly Mark Carney's fault as the financial advisor over the past five years.
00:08:57.720 But still, she froze people's bank accounts.
00:09:00.560 She was in favor of mandates and lockdowns. 0.99
00:09:02.840 But wait, Ford was in favor of all that stuff too.
00:09:05.680 In fact, he backed the bank account freezes during the Freedom Convoy
00:09:10.040 and then even revoked, I believe it was like a hundred or maybe at least a few dozen
00:09:14.700 trucking licenses because they had even tangentially participated in the Freedom Convoy
00:09:21.200 because, in fact, Doug Ford is a left-wing progressive authoritarian when it comes to his governing style.
00:09:29.620 He's never lowered taxes, even in the provincial election. 0.89
00:09:32.660 He's so pathetic that this big coup was that I've never raised taxes since I got in, 0.92
00:09:38.820 in which he actually did raise taxes. 0.97
00:09:40.240 He implemented his own industrial carbon tax on top of the consumer and federal industrial carbon taxes.
00:09:47.300 So that's a lie.
00:09:48.840 But even then, even if it wasn't, okay, he's never raised income taxes and corporate taxes.
00:09:54.580 Yeah, because I'm not sure if you've ever seen Ontario's tax system.
00:10:00.100 You can't raise it anymore.
00:10:01.800 If they raise taxes in Ontario, the income taxes, by even half a percent,
00:10:07.520 you would see a mass exodus to other provinces or down to the United States.
00:10:12.140 They are at the ceiling.
00:10:13.540 So Doug Ford proudly puffing out his chest and saying, 0.99
00:10:16.400 I've never raised taxes, is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. 0.97
00:10:22.400 That's, any leftist could say that. 0.98
00:10:25.220 Because once they pump up taxes enough, they can't do it anymore.
00:10:28.300 Even David Eby hasn't raised taxes, technically,
00:10:32.760 because they're already at the maximum in British Columbia.
00:10:36.820 But, again, this is why I was telling people the provincial election,
00:10:40.880 and a lot of people didn't believe me because they're like,
00:10:43.460 if we don't vote for the Doug Ford PCs, then the liberals or the NDP are going to get in.
00:10:48.520 Who cares?
00:10:50.180 These guys are liberals.
00:10:52.100 They just have a slightly different style than the liberals,
00:10:54.660 but the general guidelines they base their policy on is the exact same.
00:11:00.440 They spend like drunken sailors, too.
00:11:02.360 They're in favor of DEI.
00:11:03.940 In fact, they even voted in favor of the PC party under Doug Ford.
00:11:08.400 They voted in favor of an NDP bill to insert anti-racism,
00:11:13.440 BLM-style DEI training in classrooms. 0.99
00:11:17.320 Utter garbage. 1.00
00:11:19.140 Nonsense. 1.00
00:11:19.700 And I'm supposed to be like, well, if it was Crombie in charge,
00:11:23.500 it would have been worse somehow.
00:11:25.520 How would it have been worse?
00:11:26.880 I'm pretty sure the state of play is worse now
00:11:29.300 when the PC party has been corrupted
00:11:31.860 to get something that is, in theory, maybe like 2% better than the liberals,
00:11:36.680 if at all.
00:11:38.040 I don't think corrupting the main vehicle of conservatism in Ontario 0.97
00:11:42.360 was a good idea to get this silly child in as the premier. 0.97
00:11:49.680 And this is why I tell people, 0.96
00:11:50.900 you've got to check out the new blue party of Ontario
00:11:52.900 if you live in Ontario.
00:11:54.720 They're great.
00:11:55.400 They're actual conservatives.
00:11:56.720 They're not like purists where,
00:11:58.720 oh, well, I don't like the Ford PCs
00:12:00.600 because they haven't done everything I've wanted.
00:12:02.400 Their problem is the Ford PCs haven't done anything
00:12:04.560 that they even promised in 2018,
00:12:06.460 so the new blue party is effectively there
00:12:08.340 to achieve the promises that the Ford PCs made back in 2018
00:12:12.920 but in a new party
00:12:14.200 because the PC party got so corrupt
00:12:16.180 you can't even make change from the inside.
00:12:17.800 They will rig internal elections.
00:12:19.680 They will kick people out who are troublemakers.
00:12:21.980 Just maintaining the power that Doug Ford and his inner circle have
00:12:25.160 and not giving up any power to grassroots at all.
00:12:28.620 They literally appoint candidates now.
00:12:30.260 They don't even have nominations.
00:12:32.560 So yeah, check out the new blue party of Ontario.
00:12:35.120 I'm going to link their website in the description below
00:12:36.900 and I'm pinned at the top of the comments.
00:12:38.860 This should be it for me today, guys.
00:12:40.840 Like the video, subscribe to the channel,
00:12:42.500 leave a comment, do all that great stuff,
00:12:44.200 and I'll see you later.
