00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. Jagmeet Singh and the NDP are in fact running in this federal
00:00:06.920 election. I know that you and I haven't really seen them in about a week and a half here.
00:00:12.320 You could have fooled me. I thought they might have died in a flaming plane crash or I guess
00:00:16.460 a bus crash because they can't afford a plane at this point. But yeah, they are in fact in
00:00:21.140 this election, but they have just made themselves so incredibly irrelevant that you could go
00:00:27.180 this entire time never checking in with what they're doing and you've basically gotten the
00:00:31.920 whole gist of what the NDP is all about in the year 2025. They're just sanctimonious socialist
00:00:37.960 whiners who have no clue what this election is about. I was just watching Chris's show,
00:00:43.700 The Great Canadian Bagel Podcast on YouTube. You guys should go check it out. He does a lot of
00:00:47.960 polling videos and he made the note that Jagmeet Singh legitimately gets worse the more elections
00:00:55.360 he runs in. His political skills have been devolving. This is not his first time leading
00:01:01.200 the NDP into an election failure. It's not his second. It's his third. And for some reason,
00:01:06.920 that party is so whipped that they have not decided to throw him out an office window.
00:01:12.900 They got rid of Thomas Mulcair after 2015. 2015 was not a bad year for the NDP. Yet they lost seats.
00:01:20.160 But it was because Thomas Mulcair was not Jack Layton. That's not really on Thomas Mulcair that
00:01:25.240 he's not the greatest leader that the party's ever had. And I'm not an NDP guy. I'm definitely a
00:01:31.020 conservative. But man, even if I was just swapped into Jagmeet Singh's place, I could be doing a better
00:01:37.140 job than him. Talk about union workers the entire election. Because guess what? The NDP is losing unions.
00:01:44.240 All you should be doing, as Jagmeet Singh, if I could like puppeteer him, is go out there and say
00:01:50.020 none of the parties are talking about the threats to union workers and we're here to stand up for them.
00:01:54.000 And just say that for like literally the entire 37-day course of the election. But Jagmeet Singh
00:02:00.180 instead has OnlyFans models on his campaign bus. Again, he has a bus this time because he can only
00:02:06.180 afford a bus. He, for some reason, is like talking like an anthropology student who's 18 years old
00:02:12.840 with his campaign rhetoric. Everything's just social issues. Social issues and whining about
00:02:17.680 rich people. And it's just not that type of an election. You think that someone hasn't informed
00:02:23.080 him. There's like trade tensions with the US. Like he attacks Trump. But it's not even about trade.
00:02:29.480 It's just about the fact that Jagmeet Singh doesn't really like Trump very much. Anyways. So I want to
00:02:35.420 get into some of the stuff the NDP has been posting as of late because I think it gives a good insight
00:02:40.420 into what their campaign strategy is. What is their campaign strategy? It's losing. It's losing
00:02:45.900 hard. And we are going to see the masterful way that they are attempting to lose as hard as humanly
00:02:50.920 possible. But before I get into it, guys, if you like my federal election coverage, make sure to
00:02:55.660 like the video. If you're not yet a subscriber and about half of people watching the videos are not
00:03:00.360 subscribers, hit the subscribe button. Trying to get to 100,000 subscribers by mid-December.
00:03:05.200 As well as make sure to leave a comment. It really helps us in the algorithm. And I like to
00:03:09.600 scroll through and see what people are saying about the topic of the day.
00:03:13.560 And now let's cut to Jagmeet Singh. And by the way, I always like to take the videos the parties
00:03:20.480 post themselves. I'm not pulling just bad clips from one of his speeches to make fun of. This is
00:03:26.540 stuff that Jagmeet Singh thought was good enough to clip and try and spread around social media and
00:03:32.540 run his ads. Companies that make money in Canada should be taxing Canada. It's very straightforward.
00:03:37.540 Don't let Mark Carney spin you here. If you're going to make money in Canada, you should pay taxes
00:03:42.100 in Canada. And if your only reason for setting up an office in a small office in Bermuda above a bike
00:03:49.720 shop is simply to avoid paying taxes. No, that shouldn't be allowed. That's cheating our system
00:03:54.140 of the investments that we need.
00:03:56.520 He's going after, like, Mark Carney for, like, moving a business to Bermuda. And it's like a fine
00:04:04.480 attack line. But even then, I didn't even know what he was talking about until, like, halfway
00:04:08.120 through. I thought he was talking about some sort of, like, corporate tax loopholes or something like
00:04:12.020 that. And that exists. And that's, like, basically him trying to lay a paw on Mark Carney. But again,
00:04:19.480 that's literally as good as it's going to get. Here's another one where he goes after Mark Carney as well.
00:04:24.120 I just think, again, all these are just kind of dud ads. Just him trying to chase relevance by him
00:04:29.980 talking about the other leaders. The fact that we want to eliminate entirely the fossil fuel subsidies
00:04:34.520 and Mark Carney wants to continue to give your hard-earned money to these highly profitable
00:04:39.600 companies is wrong. The fact that Pierre Polyev wants to let big polluters pollute as much as they
00:04:44.540 want. We want big polluters to pay their fair share. We don't want big polluters to be able to
00:04:48.440 pollute as much as they want. We want to protect our water and protect our land and protect our air
00:04:52.980 from this pollution. Okay, so apparently Jagmeet Singh is opposing the mass dumping of, like,
00:04:59.780 tar into our oceans and lakes as if that was on the table. This is what I mean. It's like somebody
00:05:06.460 who is 18 years old, fresh in university, talking about how they want to stand up to the system and
00:05:12.540 other people want to stand with the system. But he's standing against the system. He, in fact,
00:05:17.080 doesn't want to kill the Lorax or whatever. Here's Jagmeet Singh. Actually, here's a clip from Juno News
00:05:24.200 of him talking about just basically proposing fast-tracking natural resource projects that
00:05:33.560 Pierre Polyev wants to do. And Jagmeet Singh explaining why that's very big, nasty, and horrible.
00:05:38.260 Yesterday, we saw Pierre Polyev talking about what he's calling a one-and-done strategy for permitting
00:05:42.760 on major resource projects. I mean, you yourself talked about wanting to build an east-west energy
00:05:48.100 corridor. What would the permitting process look like for that? And do you think it'd be something
00:05:51.820 that could be permitted in under a year if the NDP formed government? Well, one of the things I want
00:05:57.220 to contrast with Pierre Polyev is that he's talking about making Canada more like the U.S., cutting the
00:06:04.280 rules that we have to protect workers, the rules to protect the environment, our important
00:06:08.780 relationship with indigenous people. Imagine somebody pitching you a question saying,
00:06:13.900 Pierre Polyev wants to make it so that we can build projects faster, i.e., get more workers
00:06:19.780 working to get those projects underway. And Jagmeet Singh, here's this pretty good plan that's actually
00:06:25.180 very universally popular, says, sounds like the U.S., sounds like a good business idea, sounds too
00:06:30.160 American to me. It's like, dude, this is what I mean. He's not even good at attacking Trump in the U.S.
00:06:36.200 from like the left-wing perspective. He's like just whining about how something sounds American
00:06:41.180 because it's like pro-business. Because Jagmeet Singh is just anti-business. That's the problem
00:06:45.900 with him. He's just simply blanketly anti-business. Adjusting that those things can be skipped over,
00:06:51.540 making us more like the United States. That's not what Canadians want. They're starting to reject
00:06:55.700 the message of Pierre Polyev and the Conservatives more and more because he wants us to be more like
00:07:00.700 the United States. Canadians want to be proud of who we are, and we don't want to be the 51st state,
00:07:05.280 not just in name, but also in values and who we are. And so I believe we can absolutely build
00:07:11.240 important projects like an East-West energy grid. We can build that, but we have to respect the
00:07:16.560 environment. We have to ensure it creates good local jobs. We have to make sure that we're working
00:07:20.180 in partnership. So he's not going to get built. He's going to regulate any project if he was ever
00:07:26.040 prime minister, which he's not going to be. He would just over-regulate everything while pretending
00:07:30.460 he's going to get it done and just hire a bunch of public sector employees to just constantly look at
00:07:35.100 the project, but never actually do it. He's at like 9% too. I like how he's saying Canadians are
00:07:40.340 starting to like turn on Polyev or they're starting to realize that he's not the right way to go or
00:07:45.620 whatever he was saying there. And he's like, dude, you're 9%. They're at like 40. You got to like
00:07:50.720 settle down a little bit, man. Here's my hot take. Homes should be for people, not for profits.
00:07:57.480 Behind me. Okay. Well then there will be no homes. If you do not have profit in building homes and in
00:08:04.660 renting out units, there will be no homes. Would people just do this for fun? This townhouse village
00:08:10.580 just got bought up by a big corporate landlord. And what they're doing immediately a month after
00:08:16.240 taking over is jacking up rents by $500 a month. Imagine having to come up with an extra $500 a
00:08:24.520 month, just out of the blue. They're not renovating anything. They're not fixing anything. They're just
00:08:29.120 jacking up the rents. And here's the problem. Do you know why this is probably happening? Because
00:08:33.740 when rent controls come into play, the only way that you can even raise rents is if ownership goes from
00:08:40.200 one person to another and the contract is now void, the new landlord can then raise rents. Because
00:08:45.840 probably the rents had been frozen artificially for a long time. And whoever owned those units
00:08:50.880 had basically been not making any money. Because as property taxes go up, as general taxes go up,
00:08:57.100 and the landlord is having to pay more and more in terms of their costs while taking in no more rent,
00:09:02.580 eventually they're going to be like, well, screw this. And they're going to sell it to somebody else.
00:09:06.420 And through the transfer of that property from one group to another, they can suddenly now
00:09:12.220 increase the rents. Probably maybe it's excessive. I don't know. It really doesn't matter. It's their
00:09:17.420 unit. But on top of like, just with that, the thing is that the price does need to go up. That's
00:09:23.640 the problem with the rent control is it makes it there to be no incentive to actually provide the
00:09:28.960 housing. When corporate landlords do this, it hurts people. These are homes. These are people's
00:09:34.420 homes. And housing should be for people, not to squeeze as much money as possible out of them.
00:09:39.840 You Democrats will ban this predatory practice. We'll ban the practice of supply and demand. Good
00:09:47.460 job. Good job, Jagmeet. Practice of big corporate landlords buying up affordable homes and jacking up
00:09:53.280 the rent. Homes should be for you and your family, not as a way for big corporations to make lots of
00:09:57.900 money. It's just so tiring. He's just so tiring. There's just nothing about Jagmeet Singh
00:10:05.240 that's at all appealing in terms of, he has no charisma. That's one of the, that's one of like
00:10:11.560 the, the big problems for him. It's like, you think you're like, oh, he's like a young underjet guy.
00:10:15.680 Like, no, he's like sanctimonious. That's always been the big problem with the NDP is that they're
00:10:20.200 just deeply sanctimonious. Here's that OnlyFans thing I mentioned earlier. So they had this lady on the
00:10:25.940 campaign trail with them, this lady in the cafea, who's literally an OnlyFans model, model being
00:10:32.300 like does sexual things on camera for money. And for some reason, they thought this was a really
00:10:36.940 great idea to have her on the team. And by the way, they only got rid of her later because of her
00:10:41.660 like really crazy comments, like gross comments about the Holocaust. Yeah, that's really bad.
00:10:47.040 But you think you would have noticed all the red flags about the person well before they got onto
00:10:51.540 your campaign bus. As Canadians, we're proud the American military does not get to decide what
00:10:55.420 goes on inside our borders because we don't vote for them. And Palestinians deserve the exact same
00:10:59.380 thing. And I know you feel similar. Absolutely. Should not be selling or buying from a country,
00:11:03.540 especially a Netanyahu government that violates human rights. We should be sanctioning those that
00:11:07.700 are involved in these war crimes. Why are we buying and selling arms to a place that doesn't
00:11:11.820 respect international borders? The points are actually things that we put forward either in
00:11:15.980 emotion or we put forward individually. The censorship going on right now with Palestinian
00:11:19.900 voices is unbelievable. And we need to get out there and have our voices heard as Canadians,
00:11:23.940 because we have the privilege of being able to like vote and really have a say in this.
00:11:27.560 Get out and vote. Yeah. And absolutely. We also have an important...
00:11:29.840 What is this video where it just keeps coming back to Jagmeet Singh? He's like,
00:11:32.620 he doesn't have anything to say. Yeah, I agree with whatever you said.
00:11:38.280 The guy's just like a wet sock. He just doesn't have anything in this campaign. It is startling
00:11:43.720 how bad this is. If anything, if Carney and the liberals win, it's going to be off of the back
00:11:48.860 of Jagmeet Singh just being pathetic. At this point, it's not even like a non-zero chance.
00:11:53.800 He's just paid to suck. Because my goodness, if you are trying to blow up the NDP, you would
00:11:59.240 just systematically be doing it like him. Just be limp. Sit there. Just delve into sort of dumb
00:12:05.300 socialist rent control policies, criticizing people for making money, and just other just kind of like
00:12:11.500 soppy rhetoric about social issues and about how Hamas is really cool or whatever.
00:12:18.060 There's just nothing. Anyways, so that should be it for me today, guys. So, you know, I'm in Texas
00:12:25.460 right now. I've actually been in a hotel room filming as I usually am on the road. And I've
00:12:30.580 been having to hold my head in this place. So you don't see the thermostat because that's not great
00:12:34.360 to look at. So I'm strategically always doing this. It's okay whenever I'm here, but the lighting
00:12:40.060 is kind of annoying to kind of get right. I finally bought a light for when I'm like mobile. So I'm
00:12:45.380 not just in this like really orangey colored tinted room. But it's been fun. I'll be back in
00:12:50.460 Calgary later today. So I'll be back in the normal studio for about a week. And then I will be in
00:12:56.540 Nepean or the Ottawa area helping out conservative candidates on the ground. I encourage you all make
00:13:01.580 sure to help out your local guy. It doesn't matter how safe riding it is or how safe of a liberal
00:13:05.960 riding it is. Make sure you go out and help because it does drive forward the momentum.
00:13:11.320 The rallies for PolyEv are great, but wouldn't it be even better if all those people who go to the
00:13:16.120 rallies also go and hit the streets to go help the party? So anyways, that's it for me today,
00:13:21.460 guys. Like, share, subscribe. Do all that great stuff. See you later.
