The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - Leftist whines Canada's hockey culture creates a 'right wing pipeline'

00:00:00.000 Guys, I finally found it. Easily the whiniest thing I've ever seen a Canadian leftist say

00:00:06.980 in response to them losing the culture battle in North America. This is JB Politics 101,

00:00:15.340 and he is here to argue to us all that hockey culture is actually a very bad thing and it's

00:00:20.880 leading to a pipeline to the far right. This all in response to Wayne Gretzky going to Donald

00:00:27.760 Trump's election night victory party. He says here, here's the thing that a lot of Canadians

00:00:34.080 don't want to accept. He immediately says this as if we all know it, we just don't want to take it

00:00:40.120 to heart. Here's the thing that a lot of Canadians don't want to accept. Our hockey culture is bad

00:00:46.840 for our country. A large part of the conservative movement is uneducated white men is perpetuated by

00:00:53.740 hockey culture and broader contact sports. And a lot, not all, of famous hockey players are right

00:01:00.160 to far right ideals and tendencies. I assume that he meant have right to far right ideals and tendencies.

00:01:06.740 Theo Fleury comes to mind. The hockey culture in Canada, in my opinion, fuels the pipeline thanks

00:01:13.160 to prominent people in the sport spreading it around through coaching and mentoring. While sports,

00:01:18.040 I believe is a great tool to stay healthy and active and can teach valuable life lessons,

00:01:23.320 it's plagued by people using it to shape mainly young men into a certain type of person who a

00:01:29.560 disgusting conservative person, no doubt what JB is about to say. Most do it indirectly. Some do it

00:01:36.760 purposely. We also are not blind to this. It's shown in pop culture with jocks and even like shows like

00:01:43.920 letter Kenny help push the stereotype for better or for worse. Well, apparently he's saying for worse

00:01:49.440 because this entire thread is saying this is all evil and terrible. And the idea people are doing this

00:01:55.140 purposely is now we have a conspiracy that hockey coaches and players are trying to spread a far

00:02:03.140 right ideology around Canada through their growiness. You wonder why you lose on the left when you're

00:02:10.220 attacking hockey in Canada. I know this man does not represent the entire left, but this is a sentiment

00:02:16.380 that you see pop up all the time. People saying that anything that conservatives like, people who

00:02:22.000 disproportionately vote conservative or in the U.S. vote Republican, those things become bad. In the U.S.,

00:02:27.580 you'll hear a lot that football culture has become toxically Republican. And now in Canada,

00:02:33.200 it's toxically Polyev-like to watch hockey at night. Keep going down this trail. I encourage it. 1.00

00:02:41.600 Anyways, so he goes on and says, this is why I'm not surprised to see Gretzky at Trump event or

00:02:47.680 something broad like the NHL banning pride tape or whatever. It's a systemic issue in hockey culture

00:02:53.360 to breed this type of Canadian that is glorified in our culture. Meanwhile, that person the system

00:02:59.620 creates is a woman-hating, sometimes abusive, R-word-slurring man who is told he's the next 0.78

00:03:05.240 Gretzky, so he doesn't get an education, but then ends up working in some SE job that he isn't happy

00:03:12.200 in. Just look at hockey Canada sexual assault scandals to prove my point here. I'm going to

00:03:18.720 disprove his point in a way that he probably wouldn't expect. Here's a story right here.

00:03:24.800 Two Alberta NDP MLAs accused of sexual misconduct kept confidential to protect complainants,

00:03:34.500 Premier. And this was revealed in the Alberta NDP's caucus that there was sexual misconduct going on 0.85

00:03:40.780 that was being covered up. Okay, let's move on to another example here.

00:03:47.140 Out of Ontario this time, a harassment complaint, Ontario NDP blames union contract

00:03:53.700 after unjust termination of staffer. So when there was a person who complained against an NDP MPP,

00:04:01.560 they just terminated the person who complained about them. This is all to say, let's stop pointing

00:04:07.140 fingers over who may be not treating these serious issues seriously. You won't like where it leads to.

00:04:14.380 By the way, isn't Hollywood a repository of lefty values? Isn't there sort of like a big sexual

00:04:21.320 misconduct and harassment scandal still brewing around that, like still like flurrying around that,

00:04:28.120 like around that, like cultural institution? Well, this idea that we're going to go after like

00:04:33.520 the hockey guys as being the big like, you know, creeps or whatever is completely ridiculous.

00:04:41.180 Anyways, just I'll finish up what he says here. To the single woman reading this, you know, 0.53

00:04:46.540 the person I'm talking about. Lifted truck, hockey fanatic, usually a picture of his truck or him

00:04:51.940 holding a fish as a profile picture. It's a shame because I love playing hockey and I enjoy the sport

00:04:57.340 as a whole. Does he really? Does this man really enjoy hockey? Does somebody who likes hockey and

00:05:03.400 likes hockey culture, or I guess he doesn't like hockey culture, but likes hockey, but there's still

00:05:07.900 just a culture around hockey. So you like the game as like the basic level rules of the sport,

00:05:14.260 but you don't like everything else that goes into it. I don't feel like you actually like hockey.

00:05:18.740 And I'm saying this as someone who doesn't really like sports in general. This is such a loser 0.98

00:05:23.440 mentality. Anyways, he goes on to say, but the system around it and the professional level isn't

00:05:29.660 helping our society. Instead, it's creating a person that is vulnerable to propaganda because he

00:05:35.100 spends all this time at the rink instead of learning the world. What? We need to stop glorifying this

00:05:41.600 culture in Canada if we ever want to progress forward into a more accepting society.

00:05:48.280 Who could guess why nobody likes the left in the US or Canada? These people are, to put it mildly,

00:05:55.040 losers. These people have a loser mentality and it's just nasty. Who actually sees that they are 1.00

00:06:03.420 losing elections, that they are losing popular support in the US and Canada and thinks,

00:06:08.000 ugh, because those conservative people are watching football and hockey.

00:06:14.540 Dude, you're just basically admitting that the cool people aren't voting for you. That people who

00:06:21.100 like to do things that aren't, people who like things outside of the Hollywood bubble are bad.

00:06:28.200 Yeah, no, it's because those people actually have lives. Those people like good content. The idea

00:06:34.900 that you're going to somehow win an election by declaring war on hockey culture is absolutely 0.98

00:06:39.460 ridiculous. By the way, too, it's hilarious that we have this kind of post from Justin Burroughs. That's 0.86

00:06:46.620 who JB Politics 101, JB Political Science is. Justin Burroughs in Niagara was convicted of embezzling

00:06:54.840 $5,000 from his former employer. This was caught because he was the first guy who became an Uber

00:07:02.100 driver in Niagara who was, I think, a driver around Tim Hudak or whatever, like the transportation

00:07:07.080 minister. In terms of it was covered by the media because it was a funny thing that the first Uber

00:07:12.040 ride in the entire region was done by a convicted felon. This guy is going to tell people that other

00:07:18.900 people are toxic, that there is a toxic culture in hockey, the guy who steals from his employer.

00:07:24.340 And then, I believe, from reading the article, then basically found a bunch of excuses not to pay off

00:07:30.040 the money because I have student loans, don't you know? I had the ability to steal $5,000, but I just

00:07:36.560 burnt it all or something like that. And I can't give it back now because I have student loans.

00:07:41.200 The man's a socialistic loser. I think he did like a UBI speech at TED, the TED Talks people. 0.92

00:07:47.420 That just proves, I think, that TED does not actually have any credibility whatsoever. They'll

00:07:52.260 let anybody get up. The fact that the guy who stumps for socialistic policies and universal basic

00:07:58.060 income is also a thief, I feel like is very poetically ironic that he ends up just taking

00:08:04.760 money when he doesn't have any or he supposedly doesn't have any. He had enough to go to school

00:08:09.900 for. But whatever. Keep doing this. The left should keep pushing this rope if they want to keep

00:08:16.400 losing elections. Just keep blaming people for not voting for you. You'll win every election

00:08:22.240 after this if, like the Democrats, the U.S., you start blaming America for you losing. Blame

00:08:27.480 Latino men and Black men for somehow being sexist. No doubt you're going to get all those votes next 1.00

00:08:33.220 time because they really care about what Whoopi Goldberg thinks. They really care about what

00:08:39.420 random celebrity thinks. They really care what Justin Burroughs thinks about their sports viewing

00:08:46.020 habits. They don't. They don't. Justin Trudeau is going to easily lose the next election.

00:08:53.400 Jagmeet Singh is not going to go anywhere. And Pure Polly is going to be the next prime minister

00:08:56.900 because people who don't like whiners are going to vote for them. The base of the liberal party has

00:09:03.320 become people too smart to be good at their jobs. Way too intelligent to actually win an election.

00:09:09.680 They're too smart to care about what the public wants. Goodness. Anyways, that should be it for

00:09:15.400 me today, guys. If you want to help out the channel, you can always donate to the Give,
