00:00:00.000 It's a common trope in politics that as a politician or a political party, you claim to stand for all the good things in the world, and your political opponents, well, they stand against all those good things.
00:00:13.080 Obviously, this is usually a massive exaggeration in any political race that's ever occurred, but these days, there are some liberal MPs who are just flat out standing against good things that everyone likes in Canada.
00:00:26.220 There's this liberal MP, Mark Holland, who went on this nutty rant yesterday trying to say that family vacations are actually very bad and evil.
00:00:37.120 Not only is it an attack against the climate and it's going to cause Canada to burn, but also it's an attack against your kids somehow because you want to torture your kids in the back of that car.
00:00:49.280 This is an actual statement that was made in Parliament. I can't even really project to you how nutty this is.
00:00:57.080 I'm about to play it in a second. I talked about this in my show yesterday, but it was kind of deep into the episode, so I don't think a lot of people saw this clip.
00:01:04.020 But this is something that was actually stated in the House of Commons, and you have to remember, a lot of things said in the House of Commons are scripted.
00:01:10.820 So he wrote this down probably, thought it was good, and then proceeded to walk into the People's House of Commons and make this display.
00:01:19.220 The Honourable Minister of Health. Mr. Speaker, good news, kids. You can take a summer fun time vacation where you're locked in a car for 10 consecutive days, nonstop, with no bathroom breaks, and the Conservatives have a plan for you to have that summertime fun.
00:01:34.120 And the cost? Give up the future of the planet, right? Don't worry, kids, about climate change. Don't worry about taking action on the planet. Enjoy your 10 hours in the car and let the planet burn.
00:01:47.480 Can we look at Seamus O'Regan's face here for a second? You will hear my computer taking a quick screenshot, because I want to put this on screen for you all to see in a little bit of some high-definition close-up.
00:02:00.620 You can tell the rest of his colleagues are just befuddled by what Mark is doing here. I don't know why they thought this was a good idea, but they let him do it anyways.
00:02:09.940 But I really love Seamus O'Regan's face here, just looking like he has seen the craziest thing in his entire life that this colleague of his that he probably has grown to respect over time has just ruined all that respect he's had by trying to claim that actually vacations are bad because you're trying to burn down Canada.
00:02:33.260 You're trying to ruin the future of the planet. Also, parents don't let their kids, like, take bathroom breaks. If anything, it seems like Mark Holland is trying to reveal to us all that his parents were deeply abusive
00:02:44.920 and would make him drive around the country all day every day during the summer in these 10-hour car rides where they wouldn't let him get out to simply stretch his legs or go to the bathroom.
00:02:57.220 This is a party on its last legs. The fact that nobody even reviewed what he was going to say there, or maybe they did, that's the scarier thing, that the Liberals communications team had approved the statement.
00:03:07.220 If it was off the cuff, goodness, man, someone should have, like, Seamus should have ripped him down and said, Mark, please stop talking and please resign because this is the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
00:03:19.340 Like, this is where I feel bad for Liberal MPs because as much as they all deserve to lose their seats, they're awful legislators, they do not represent the views of Canadians.
00:03:29.440 At the same time, there are some Liberal staff members and MPs who are so embarrassing, it must be torturous to have to be in caucus meetings with these people.
00:03:39.420 Like, actually think about having to be in meetings with Mark Gerritsen, Mark Holland, Chrystia Freeland, Arif Farhani.
00:03:47.500 You have to hear those people, especially the Cabinet-level ministers, who have some authority that you're supposed to, like, look up to as a backbench Liberal.
00:03:54.860 There's some backbench Liberals who are probably somewhat competent at what they do, but obviously they didn't get to become a minister because competence was one of those things that they blackballed you for.
00:04:03.800 And now you have to listen to Mark Holland and clap for him, pretend that this is great content.
00:04:10.580 Him going on about how Pierre Polyev's a bad man because he wants families to be able to go on vacation.
00:04:16.700 When you're taking a stand against vacations, I think that you've kind of gone over your skis.
00:04:22.380 But this is very much the honest conclusion of a net zero agenda.
00:04:27.840 Net zero means that you cannot be wasting energy or, like, using energy.
00:04:32.440 I don't even want to use the word waste, using energy that you don't absolutely need to use.
00:04:36.940 So going on vacations would become a thing of the past in 15 years with the Liberals' net zero agenda for 2035 or 2030 or whatever.
00:04:45.400 I don't even know what year it is.
00:04:46.460 It's some absurdly close year.
00:04:48.340 I also oppose even the UCP in Alberta doing this stupid thing where when, like, Stephen Gilbeau comes out and says,
00:04:55.680 we want net zero by 2035, and then for some reason our environment minister, Rebecca Schultz, then counters and says,
00:05:01.940 how about 2050 instead?
00:05:03.900 Why are we arguing about the number of, like, of years we take until we bankrupt ourselves?
00:05:09.720 How about we don't bankrupt ourselves?
00:05:11.680 How about we just allow people to be as prosperous as they see fit and let the rest sort itself out?
00:05:17.640 The great thing with capitalism, the great thing about greed, is that people like to buy as much gas for their car for as little money as possible.
00:05:27.400 And they want that gas to last as long as humanly possible so that they don't have to buy more.
00:05:33.100 That's why trucks, since, like, the 70s, have become, like, twice as efficient.
00:05:38.500 Like, cars and trucks have gotten better over time.
00:05:41.480 It wasn't because of a government mandate.
00:05:43.500 It wasn't because of a regulation or a tax.
00:05:45.640 It was because people who are smart want to get the most value for their money.
00:05:51.080 And so products have become more efficient and higher quality over time.
00:05:54.840 But that's not something that the liberals care about because regardless of how efficient your vehicle becomes,
00:06:01.220 even if you drive an EV because it still requires natural gas from the grid,
00:06:05.160 even if you're driving an EV, if you're going on vacation, what are you doing?
00:06:08.960 Stick to your tiny quadrant of the city and just use public transportation.
00:06:12.880 You live to lower emissions.
00:06:15.560 That is really your, like, your sole purpose on this planet, according to the liberals,
00:06:20.920 is to use as little resources and die quietly, you know, away from where everyone else is
00:06:25.700 and also make sure to, I don't know, donate your body to science or something like that.
00:06:29.500 The liberals have a very anti-human view of, you know, anti-human view of the climate,
00:06:35.400 that humans are a problem and we need to curb the activity of humans.
00:06:39.140 This is why I take a stance, again, I'm running for the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Party nomination.
00:06:44.660 My name is Wyatt Claypool.
00:06:46.060 I always announce my name because in case this is, like, your first video and you don't know who I am.
00:06:50.140 But, like, I take the stance that, like, I want a ban on any goals from government on net zero measures.
00:06:55.340 There should never be net zero goals attached to literally any piece of legislation.
00:07:01.020 There should be standard of living goals that you cannot do anything that will lower the standard of living of Canadians.
00:07:07.980 If you're passing regulations or taxes that are going to lower the standard of living of a Canadian family,
00:07:13.480 you've done something wrong.
00:07:14.540 If you're doing something that's making it harder to take a vacation, that's a pretty nasty thing to do.
00:07:20.740 And so what I would like to see is that we actually have more energy so people can do more of what they want.
00:07:26.000 And, in fact, actually, if we deregulate natural gas and other forms of energy local to people's communities,
00:07:32.140 we'll actually lower emissions.
00:07:33.480 When you force people to buy EVs from overseas, you force the mining of rare earth metals in the Congo and whatnot,
00:07:41.000 you're actually raising emissions because the amount of effort and work that it takes to get those resources
00:07:46.520 is way higher than just pulling coal out of a mountain in your local area of Alberta along the mountain range.
00:07:54.200 That's a far smarter thing to do.
00:07:55.600 If you live in an area that produces a lot of natural gas, why would you have shipped in wind farms in order to provide your power?
00:08:03.580 You literally have gas in the ground feed away from you.
00:08:07.120 Why would you have cargo ships having to go around the planet multiple times to put together solar panels and wind turbines
00:08:14.080 so that you can get less efficient energy and actually cause more emissions?
00:08:18.140 This is the same thing with, like, paper straws compared to plastic straws.
00:08:21.580 It takes double to triple the amount of energy to make a paper straw.
00:08:26.760 And even that, I don't even think, fully factors in all the resources you have to gather to even start putting together paper straws.
00:08:33.220 Same thing with all reusable items.
00:08:35.040 They all take way more energy to create, but the left doesn't care about that because they care about the imagistics of being pro-climate.
00:08:41.120 So that's why, at the same time, that Mark Holland and Seamus O'Regan, as a weird face here, are against you going on vacation,
00:08:49.480 they are, at the same time, perfectly fine taking as many flights as humanly possible to go to environmental summits
00:08:55.600 where they talk about nothing and how to ruin your life.
00:08:58.340 So, yeah, that's what I stand against.
00:09:00.080 So if you happen to live in my riding signal hill and you're a Conservative Party member, there's 4,800 of you,
00:09:04.940 so you better pay attention here.
00:09:07.120 Mark me number one on your ballot.
00:09:08.860 Mark Michael Kim number two.
00:09:10.200 We want to make sure we have the most conservative people, most reform-minded people,
00:09:14.360 set to be the representatives for these strong conservative ridings.
00:09:18.000 And if you don't live in my riding, you can always donate to the TNT Legal Fund.
00:09:21.740 That is linked in the description below, but below my campaign website, WyattClaypool.com.
00:09:26.680 If you want to contribute anything to that, it really helps us out.
00:09:29.300 We have this Chinese billionaire developer suing us for defamation.
00:09:32.880 And in over two and a half years of this case going on, he still hasn't even provided any evidence we defamed him
00:09:38.980 or that we damaged his reputation in any way, considering that all of our reporting was based on things that came out about him years earlier
00:09:46.500 and had already run their course on his reputation, rightfully so, because it was all true.
00:09:51.900 But yeah, so that's a little bit of background on why you maybe want to donate.
00:09:55.980 But I understand if people don't, make sure to like this video, share it, subscribe, do all those great things.
00:10:01.500 And then I also have a link to the TNT Telegram channel in the description of this video below.
00:10:05.980 So jump on there if you want all of our content in order and you don't want to have to rely on a social media algorithm
00:10:12.140 to show you when we have new content.
00:10:14.380 Have a great one, everyone.
