A liberal rag known as Cult Montreal published an article on August 1st, 2024 titled, "Conservatives Want Justin Trudeau to Step Down Because They're Scared." It's a joke about a man writing a joke so funny it can cause you to laugh yourself to death, and then later used as a weapon of war to fight the Germans in World War II.

00:00:00.000 Have you guys ever watched the Monty Python skit, The World's Funniest Joke, a skit about a man writing a joke so funny it can cause you to laugh yourself to death and then is later used as a weapon of war to fight the Germans in World War II?
00:00:15.260 Well, I think I've just come across what that joke was, because a liberal rag known as CultMTL or CultMontreal released an article on August 1st, 2024, no less, titled, Conservatives Want Trudeau to Step Down Because They're Scared.
00:00:33.420 Yes, Canadian conservatives are deeply fearful of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his popularity, I guess.
00:00:40.740 In a certain sense, I actually am scared of Justin Trudeau, but scared of him in the same way I'd be scared of a five-year-old handling a blowtorch.
00:00:50.060 I'm not actually scared of Justin Trudeau being able to win another election. He's dead in the water and he knows it. He keeps losing by-elections in places like downtown Toronto. He's dead in the water.
00:01:01.660 Pure poly of his not being kept up late at night because he's thinking that Justin Trudeau is going to best him. Justin Trudeau couldn't best his own shoes when he's tying them up.
00:01:12.420 It's a disaster area right now for the liberals. Not that long after this article was written, Angus Reid came up with that poll showing the liberals down 22 points on the conservatives.
00:01:25.100 Nobody's fearful of them. But today, just as a treat, I'm going to read through this not very long article.
00:01:31.540 You know, who could have guessed that you couldn't really put that many words to an article arguing that Justin Trudeau is popular?
00:01:37.580 But we're going to read it today just for the fun of it. Let's see. What's his name? Matthew Renfrew.
00:01:44.340 Let's see the point that Matthew Renfrew is trying to make and take it at face value.
00:01:50.000 So he starts,
00:01:51.160 The percentage of Canadians who are satisfied with the Trudeau government is still higher than the percentage of Canadians who think pure poly of is the best choice for prime minister.
00:02:00.360 Now, I'm just going to over the car for a second here so I can confront this lie quickly before we move on.
00:02:07.320 I pre-read this article a little bit before I recorded this video, but this all comes from, and they do link it, so I give them credit.
00:02:15.240 It comes from this Leger poll, but this Leger poll is a deep outlier.
00:02:19.720 Most of the polling on preferred prime minister are showing pure poly of it like 34%, 36%, sometimes at like 38%, well over Justin Trudeau's numbers.
00:02:29.800 But this guy found this one Leger poll that technically shows that Justin Trudeau's like government's approval rating is a little bit higher than pure poly of is preferred to be prime minister.
00:02:40.980 But it's obviously an outlier because it shows 26% of people want pure poly of to be the prime minister and 29% of people are currently like satisfied with Trudeau's government.
00:02:52.180 Is that a number to be happy with?
00:02:54.660 Let's say even let's say that that Leger poll is absolutely 100% accurate and 26% of people want poly of is the prime minister.
00:03:03.140 But are you actually proud of only 29% of people being satisfied by your government?
00:03:08.460 Also, people don't have to love pure poly of to think that the conservative agenda is better than the liberal agenda.
00:03:14.580 Go look at like the preferred prime minister polls for Justin Trudeau in the same poll.
00:03:20.740 He's like below 20%.
00:03:22.820 That's not a number to be proud of.
00:03:24.980 But anyways, I'm going to move on in this article.
00:03:28.180 So Renfrew moves on and says the election is still 14 months away and calls for Justin Trudeau to step down have come largely from conservatives because they're scared.
00:03:37.840 No, no, no.
00:03:38.980 They're coming from conservatives because they can actually say he should step down and not get kicked out of the liberal party or the NDP.
00:03:46.860 Even now, after Jagmeet Singh ripped off the supply and confidence agreement, I guarantee if his own NDP MPs called too vigorously for Justin Trudeau to step down, Jagmeet Singh would probably kick them out of NDP caucus.
00:04:00.660 So yeah, conservatives aren't scared.
00:04:02.240 They're telling an unpopular leader that they should step down.
00:04:05.580 Now, this is like saying that you're terrified of this man because you keep telling him to drop out of a race after he like wets himself and falls over on stage.
00:04:13.840 Like, no, it's because he's underperforming.
00:04:16.520 Sorry, getting back to the article.
00:04:17.940 I'm going to read a little bit of a larger chunk now.
00:04:20.280 They know that pure Pagliav rubs too many people the wrong way.
00:04:24.000 He's likely peaked too early.
00:04:25.900 His empty catchphrases can only resonate for so long.
00:04:28.560 And there's still over a year for his lack of actual ideas and embarrassing past statements to be exposed.
00:04:34.940 The liberals and the liberal media keep attacking pure Pagliav for every single time he's ever picked up a glass of water with the wrong hand.
00:04:43.440 There's nothing really left to be exposed.
00:04:46.320 And even then, they're saying, well, there's still a year left until the next election.
00:04:50.500 And his popularity couldn't possibly hold up.
00:04:52.780 I keep hearing that month after month that eventually Pagliav's going to fall off a cliff and become deeply unpopular.
00:04:59.140 Oh, no conservative or no party could ever hold a 20% lead for an entire year.
00:05:06.260 Well, it's been well more than an entire year at this point.
00:05:09.280 And the conservatives are still that popular.
00:05:12.000 And in a certain sense, it's not because the conservatives are popular, although they are.
00:05:16.360 It's because nobody likes Justin Trudeau.
00:05:18.700 And, you know, to put it in a different way, nobody's scared of Justin Trudeau. 0.98
00:05:23.960 They think he's useless. 0.96
00:05:27.000 Anyways, moving on. 0.58
00:05:28.460 Conservatives love to talk about how it's unfair to compare their party to Donald Trump because the parties are very different. 1.00
00:05:35.760 It's obviously a stupid comparison. 0.99
00:05:37.800 Even though a majority of Canadians would vote for Trump if they could, or a majority of Canadians would vote for Trump if they could, 1.00
00:05:44.020 But conservative politicians prey on the uneducated and those who lack critical thinking skills.
00:05:49.780 Who could guess why people don't vote liberal with advocates like this calling people uneducated?
00:05:54.620 Remember, these are the same people who would have no clue how to defend themselves when people call them weird.
00:06:00.440 Because deep down, they know that their anti-science narratives, reliance on disinformation and lack of empathy is weird.
00:06:08.000 Has the Trudeau government been perfect?
00:06:10.060 Of course not.
00:06:11.140 That's a way of putting that.
00:06:12.440 But this government has implemented affordable child care.
00:06:16.000 Have they?
00:06:16.540 No, no, no.
00:06:17.020 They passed a bill saying that they're going to push for affordable child care.
00:06:21.180 They have that $10 a day child care plan.
00:06:23.580 But it's not working.
00:06:24.800 Just because you technically do it doesn't mean it's been effective.
00:06:29.660 Begun reconciliation with Indigenous people by taking away their ability to actually use their own resources and get involved in the energy industry. 0.95
00:06:39.340 Improved Canada's reputation internationally.
00:06:41.740 No, implemented gun control legislation and strong climate action, not to mention successfully managing a pandemic, as if anyone cares about that anymore.
00:06:53.340 Our country is projected to have the fastest growing economy in the G7 in 2025.
00:06:59.180 Okay, stop right there.
00:07:00.840 No.
00:07:01.840 Our raw GDP is going up faster than some other countries because we are bringing more people into our country at a faster rate per capita than any other country in the G7.
00:07:12.560 We are not actually growing on a per capita basis.
00:07:15.160 We are just jamming more warm bodies into the country, into the borders, which naturally grows the GDP.
00:07:21.780 Not in a healthy direction, but it does grow it.
00:07:24.880 If somebody comes over to the border with only a quarter to their name, we have technically grown the GDP because we have an extra quarter.
00:07:31.980 It doesn't actually help the economy if that person then just goes and sits on a couch and does nothing.
00:07:35.860 But on raw GDP terms, we look okay, I suppose.
00:07:40.960 Oh, Canada's not the broken country the conservatives want you to think it is.
00:07:46.400 And wow, that's really where the article ends.
00:07:49.180 Yeah, so this person who supposedly is mocking people for being uneducated couldn't put more than four paragraphs to the concept that Justin Trudeau is a, you know, brilliant mind that pure poly of is shaking in his boots with thinking about debating him someday.
00:08:06.280 He's not.
00:08:07.380 Justin Trudeau is the one who who's terrified of pure poly of.
00:08:10.820 That's why he barely shows up to question period.
00:08:13.380 And the only thing he can do is just throw on the shmarm extra hard and pretend like everything's great while the Titanic goes down.
00:08:21.320 Justin Trudeau and the liberals have nothing left.
00:08:24.620 And the thing is, when I say nothing left, I don't just mean they're unpopular and I don't like them.
00:08:28.500 I mean, like, they don't even have any good strategies left.
00:08:30.760 They just keep doing microwaved versions of whatever Kamala Harris's campaign is doing down in the US.
00:08:36.980 And frankly, Kamala Harris's campaign is also kind of failing. 0.94
00:08:39.720 You can't really fake people into thinking that you're somebody that you're not.
00:08:45.000 Justin Trudeau cannot fake his way into being a new fresh face in Canadian politics like his party's been trying to do over the last six months, trying to give him that energy, making him feeling more dynamic.
00:08:55.280 Oh, he just went to the Toronto International Film Festival.
00:08:58.180 Oh, he's so involved with the people.
00:09:00.480 It doesn't play.
00:09:02.040 It's just that's a dog that's not going to hunt because people know Justin Trudeau.
00:09:06.100 And he is not a fresh face.
00:09:08.140 He's not a competent leader.
00:09:09.240 And the thing is, his energy is just obnoxious when people can't afford groceries.
00:09:13.600 This is the same thing that's happening in British Columbia right now.
00:09:17.220 I'm going to bring it up just because I'm helping out in British Columbia with the Conservative Party of BC.
00:09:22.740 David Eby and the NDP are trying to do this whole push about how the Conservatives are super extreme and you can't trust them.
00:09:30.880 Guys, nobody can afford groceries.
00:09:32.780 There's dead people all over the streets who overdosed on safe supply drugs or who bought more dangerous drugs with the safe supply drugs.
00:09:40.520 Nobody wants to hear that you think John Rusted's a mean, nasty man because he's been in office since 2005.
00:09:47.840 Who cares?
00:09:48.760 People can't afford housing.
00:09:50.820 So what's your solution to that?
00:09:53.020 Do you know the Conservatives are climate change drivers? 1.00
00:09:55.360 Shut up. 1.00
00:09:56.160 Shut up. 1.00
00:09:56.920 What's wrong with you? 1.00
00:09:58.080 At least talk to something that a middle class person could somewhat connect to.
00:10:02.380 I'm trying to give you guys advice here.
00:10:04.560 Figure out an issue that actually matters to middle class people and then try and market to them on that basis.
00:10:10.700 Actually, I just want to quickly bring up something that I forgot earlier.
00:10:13.740 But on that point where the Matthew Reynolds or Renfrew tried to claim that pure poly was slightly less popular as a preferred prime minister than the liberal government.
00:10:25.460 Well, here's a new poll out from Abacus Data and David Coletto.
00:10:29.360 89% of people have a negative impression of Justin Trudeau.
00:10:32.780 88% disapprove of the job performance of Justin Trudeau's government.
00:10:36.600 82% want a change in government and think there's a good alternative available.
00:10:39.960 Yeah, that Leger poll doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
00:10:45.820 All the other pollsters outside of outlier polls from Leger are showing that nobody likes Justin Trudeau.
00:10:52.420 Even all the other Leger polls show that pure poly was way more popular.
00:10:57.260 Every once in a while, a poll will show up that makes the liberals look a little bit better.
00:11:01.300 This was that outlier poll that showed the liberals were only down by 13 points, which would still give the conservatives a majority.
00:11:08.180 So even in fantasy land for Justin Trudeau, even in if only the good poll, the best polls are the right ones, he's still in a minority situation.
00:11:19.540 Well, not a minority situation.
00:11:20.640 He's like the conservatives are still in a majority situation and the liberals might even fall into third place in seat count.
00:11:28.120 That's nobody's scared of this man.
00:11:30.440 Nobody.
00:11:30.980 People are pointing and laughing and I don't think that looks like fear to me.
00:11:35.120 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
00:11:37.580 If you want to help out the channel, you can donate to the legal fund in the Give, Send, Go link in the description below.
00:11:44.440 We're being sued by a Chinese billionaire for no reason, for defamation.
00:11:48.420 And in over two and a half years, we're actually almost coming up on three years here, he still hasn't filed any evidence.
00:11:54.820 We're actually still waiting for him to give over more evidence we asked for in his deposition.
00:11:59.920 It's almost been an entire year since we requested that he prove whether or not he tried to sue the Globe and Mail for saying the same things that we did a year and a half before we said it.
00:12:10.660 Crazy case, but it's cost me more than $32,000.
00:12:13.660 And I believe I actually have to pay somebody else for something, but whatever.
00:12:16.620 Anything you can contribute really helps me out.
00:12:18.620 And then if you live in British Columbia, please donate to the BC Conservatives.
00:12:23.960 The one advantage that David Eby and the BC NDP have left is they have basically taxpayers giving them money every year to campaign.
00:12:31.360 BC Conservatives basically get nothing.
00:12:33.140 I think the BC Conservatives every year maybe get $50,000. 0.88
00:12:36.120 The NDP gets millions of dollars every year because there's this stupid law where parties get $1.56 per vote they got in the last election.
00:12:44.680 Plus, the NDP got 33% of their campaign expenses comped by taxpayers.
00:12:50.000 So donate in the Abbotsford South EDA below $100.
00:12:53.660 You get 75% of it back, so it only costs $25.
00:12:56.020 And what we're going to do is we're going to take all that money in and distribute it to other ridings around British Columbia,
00:13:01.500 where we have a chance to beat the NDP and form a majority BC Conservative government.
00:13:06.900 So that link's also there if you live in BC.
00:13:09.280 If you live in BC, don't donate anything to me directly.
00:13:12.040 Donate to the BC Conservative Party so we can actually win out here.
00:13:15.780 Anyways, that's it for me.
00:13:17.360 Have a good one.
