The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - Liberals actually think Poilievre is faking rally videos

00:00:00.000 The true and on crowd is back at it again on social media, freaking out about something

00:00:04.580 completely insane and entirely made up. If you're not yet acquainted with what the true

00:00:09.220 and on crowd is, for a basic rundown, they're pretty much the conspiracy theory wing of the

00:00:14.280 Liberal Party, who believes that Justin Trudeau and the Liberals can do nothing wrong, and

00:00:18.480 Pure Polyev and the Conservatives can do nothing right, and they're willing to either make up

00:00:22.320 stuff or believe complete fantasies in order to support these two positions. Now, this is a very

00:00:28.080 special episode, because usually there's maybe a tiny hair of truth to something that a true

00:00:34.040 and non-supporter believes. They'll find some little breadcrumbs of something, and they'll

00:00:38.520 like run with it and go to conclusions that are completely unfounded. This time, there's

00:00:44.100 literally nothing to their crazy belief. Just quickly watch this video and see if there is

00:00:49.120 anything wrong with it.

00:00:50.580 Speaking of experts, you know, we're often told that there are these brainy people,

00:00:58.080 who have a higher standard of virtue than the unwashed masses, that they have to decide for

00:01:04.340 all of you and all of us, because they just know better. All of us, well, we should just do what

00:01:11.320 we're told. They should decide what we think and say and what happens with our money. You see,

00:01:16.880 Justin Trudeau really has only...

00:01:18.520 You'd be correct to think there's literally nothing wrong with that video at all.

00:01:23.680 But the true and non-crowd seriously believes that pure Polyev is green-screened in that video.

00:01:30.940 I don't know what kind of budget they think the Conservative Party has. I know the Conservatives

00:01:34.820 are absolutely blowing the Liberals and the NDP out of the water when it comes to fundraising,

00:01:39.080 but I don't exactly think that they have Disney behind them, making sure that Polyev can seem like

00:01:44.320 he's appearing at rallies when he's not really there. There's way too much footage of pure Polyev at 0.98

00:01:48.760 rallies to think that he'd be, like, shy and requiring technology to make it look like he's

00:01:53.440 somewhere where he isn't. But, and again, I didn't even... I went just through a little bit

00:01:59.080 of the comments that I saw being left about this. I just scrolled down a little bit on Twitter after

00:02:03.140 just looking up Polyev green-screen, and this is, like, the results I got from just scrolling down

00:02:08.100 a little bit. So you have people like this saying, what's worse, Polyev lying to Canadians about Trudeau

00:02:13.320 or doing it in front of a green screen? And then there's this one. The giant R created white 0.61

00:02:18.600 artificial... white artifacts around... Polyev gives it away for me. The superimposed Polyev was

00:02:24.120 filmed in a much brighter room than he... than the green-screen image. It's like he's glowing in the

00:02:28.100 dark. And these people don't understand how green screens work or real-life lighting. Some of these

00:02:34.000 other posts actually have the... actually have a part of the video in it that you see in the background.

00:02:39.520 This person said this video is as fake as Polyev himself. He's literally standing in front of a green screen

00:02:45.240 talking to himself. That is hilarious that his loyal supporters won't be able to tell because they're

00:02:50.760 so easily manipulated. Man, there are... I know there are conspiratorial people on the right, as there are

00:02:56.400 conspiratorial people on any part of the political spectrum, but this really takes the cake. Every once in a

00:03:02.520 while, I see really dumb people thinking, oh, it's not the real Biden, because look at his earlobe. 1.00

00:03:07.060 Stop it. If you send me that, please don't. Shut up. I don't care. Just because you think that someone... 0.99

00:03:13.280 because someone's earlobe looks different from different angles doesn't mean anything. But the same thing with

00:03:18.840 these posts that these people are leaving. They don't seem to realize, as is indicated above Polyev, that there

00:03:24.480 is overhead lighting, and there's obviously a spotlight on him. Do they think that the Canadian flag in the back

00:03:30.660 is also superimposed because it is brighter than the rest of the room? That's just... These people assume

00:03:36.660 that if there's any lighting change in a room, that that thing must be superimposed. Like, if I get lighter

00:03:42.760 going towards my lamp, I must be currently green screened in right now based on this little piece

00:03:49.080 of evidence that this part of my head is a little bit brighter than this part of the wall. These people

00:03:54.500 are completely nuts. They actively think that because it's Polyev, there must be something fake 1.00

00:04:00.520 about this video. That is the conspiratorial mindset that these true and on people have. Same thing with

00:04:05.920 any other conspiracy theorists. They go into a situation with a presupposition that Polyev is a

00:04:12.180 liar and he's, like, fake in some way. So we must find the fakeness in this video. And then they see

00:04:18.320 that he's slightly lighter than the rest of the crowd who's obviously sitting in the dimmed area so that they can

00:04:24.220 see him better and that the room is not just entirely lit up so that he's not the main focus of the rally.

00:04:30.820 That's what's going on. But because of that, that's evidence that not only is it fake, but that conservatives

00:04:37.580 are stupid for not being able to see it. So here we have, like, this other person. Peter Polyev should have 1.00

00:04:42.940 matched the lighting to the green screen. Polyev doesn't seem to have basic understanding of

00:04:48.040 electricity either. But no, Polyev doesn't need experts. Yeah, dude, I don't know what to tell

00:04:53.560 you. I don't think that Polyev paid a million dollars to fake this video. I'm pretty sure that

00:04:58.280 Polyev is popular enough. He wouldn't need to go to such tricks in order to try and get people on his

00:05:04.120 side. This person, is that a filmed in front of a green screen glowing surrounding? Pontification

00:05:09.600 populist pastor, pure Polyev. I don't know what this person's obsession with literation is, but this is

00:05:14.620 just a small sampling of the posts I could have grabbed. It went on forever. I've covered other

00:05:20.280 things for the True and On Files series I've been doing, and I only have two other videos in it.

00:05:24.280 Usually, that's like a couple dozen people who believe in the thing put forward, like people

00:05:28.980 thinking that pure Polyev's Apple video was faked, and then there was something else that went on when

00:05:33.840 I made the second video. I forget what it was. But usually, it's like you can find 24 or 30 people

00:05:39.120 who believe this. This, I could have probably grabbed 100 examples of not just the people who were

00:05:43.740 posting it, but the massive amount of people who were retweeting and liking some of these posts.

00:05:48.440 This is not a small crowd of people who believe this stuff. I'm almost shocked that Mark Gerritsen,

00:05:53.700 the MP, the liberal MP from Kingston and the Islands, wasn't pushing this, because this was like so

00:06:00.100 widespread for liberal supporters. The idea is that somehow because like liberals are very like

00:06:06.780 establishment in their views, that they're very, you know, like, you know, trusting of institutions,

00:06:11.920 that means that they're anti-conspiracy theory. These people are proving that completely wrong.

00:06:17.520 You can be entirely pro-establishment and also be a massive conspiracy theorist, assuming that the

00:06:22.160 opposition are like demons from hell who are capable of anything, including faking videos to this high

00:06:28.660 of a quality. Like, if this is fake, Marvel has to get a hold of Pure Polyev to start doing their

00:06:34.760 green screen work for them. This is nuts. But anyways, that should be it for me today. I have my

00:06:40.840 Give, Send, Go linked in the description below. I'm being sued by a billionaire, $25,000 deep in a

00:06:45.800 defamation defense case. It's a completely stupid lawsuit. They're just trying to bleed myself in 1.00

00:06:51.040 TNT of money, and I don't want to apologize for doing nothing wrong. So we are fighting it out.

00:06:55.860 So if you want to donate $5, $10, $15 or so to our legal defense, it really helps me out. And other

00:07:01.500 than that, I'm also running for the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Party nomination. So if you live in

00:07:06.680 Calgary Signal Hill or if you have family or friends who live there, buy a Conservative Party

00:07:10.700 membership. I don't want to know when the nomination date's going to be. Could be, you know, anytime

00:07:15.460 this year. Could be spring, summer, fall. But if you buy a one-year membership, you'll probably be

00:07:20.780 able to vote in the nomination. I doubt it's going to drag into 2025. Basically, if you live any riding

00:07:26.780 you live in, go check which one it is, even if you don't live in the city of Calgary. I think it's

00:07:31.500 really important that people actually know which ridings they live in. There's so many people who get

00:07:36.160 hoodwinked when terrible politicians are elected, but they also don't even know what jurisdiction

00:07:40.720 they happen to live in. I guarantee a lot of you, not in a bad sense, but a lot of you don't actually

00:07:46.580 know what riding you live in. And part of it's just because Canadian politics is so undercovered

00:07:51.880 by the media in a nuanced way that people just don't really engage much and they kind of get bored

00:07:56.600 by politics because, you know, to a certain extent, there's a bit of a controversial view. And now I'm

00:08:01.720 dragging the video on a bit. But Canadian politics actually doesn't have enough money in it. 0.99

00:08:06.560 An Illinois governor race, which a Democrat is obviously going to win, will have more money in

00:08:11.280 it than an entire Canadian federal election. And when you can't spend money on things, the actual

00:08:15.780 amount of information you can give people about how politics works is very low. There's a reason why

00:08:20.200 only like 1% of Canadians have a party membership. And it's not because Canadians don't like political

00:08:24.660 parties and think they're all corrupt, like some people would say. No, it's just because people

00:08:27.820 don't care. And the thing is, I think the apathy in this country is why we've ended up with three

00:08:32.200 terms of Justin Trudeau. So again, reiterating, if you live in Calgary Signal Hill or live

00:08:37.040 in the city of Calgary, check which riding you live in and buy a membership if you live

00:08:40.320 in my riding. Frankly, buy a conservative membership regardless of what riding you live in and get

00:08:44.460 involved more locally. So other than that, hopefully everyone has a great day and I'll see you next

00:08:49.860 time.
