00:00:00.240 In the most pathetic story of the day, the Liberal Party of Canada is trying to celebrate just how great a January they had. 0.95
00:00:09.540 It's really not that good. If I was advising these people, I would tell them to please never put anything down in writing that can be compared to the Conservative Party. 0.66
00:00:19.280 Look at this. They say, what a month. January 2025. Nearly 400,000 registered Liberals.
00:00:26.460 Best ever January for grassroots fundraising. Well, of course, it's the best month ever. You have had a leadership going on.
00:00:33.440 Over 100 requests from Canadians to run as a candidate in the next election.
00:00:37.620 That's probably what the Conservative Party is getting in a month with only like a few dozen nominations open.
00:00:44.260 That's not that good. And I want to hone in on this first one. Nearly 400,000 registered Liberals.
00:00:50.480 Do you know how actually pathetic this is? 0.66
00:00:54.140 The Liberal Party has only 400,000 registered members to vote in their leadership race. 0.88
00:01:01.460 Despite making their membership free, do you know how many that the Conservative Party of Canada had when it had its 22 leadership election?
00:01:13.120 675,000. Do you know how much it costs to get a Conservative membership?
00:01:18.800 It's not free. It's $15 for a single year, which is pretty expensive considering even provincial parties usually only have it at $5 or $10.
00:01:27.540 The Liberals giving away free memberships could not beat the Conservatives on membership sales.
00:01:34.540 And remember, too, in that $400,000, I guarantee at least between $25,000 to like $75,000 of them were ironic signups to vote for people like Chandra Aria and now Ruby Dalla.
00:01:49.220 That's like the $400,000 is not a good figure. It shows that people are not excited at all for what the Liberals are doing.
00:01:57.820 This is the problem. Media hype, polling hype from places like Ecos can make it seem like the Liberals are catching up.
00:02:05.000 And no doubt they'll have a bounce because Trudeau is gone and he was the giant like stinking corpse being lugged around by the party.
00:02:11.880 So, yes, Carney or Freeland or anyone will improve their polling. But are Canadians excited for any of these people?
00:02:20.360 Excitement and energy is something you cannot do an end run around. You can't just pretend like, well, we'll just be professional and button down and whatnot.
00:02:30.060 Then people will vote for us. We'll just put on a new fresh face and then people will like us.
00:02:34.060 It's like, no, no, no. They have to really like you. They don't just want to have to say like, oh, it's better that they don't have Trudeau.
00:02:39.880 They need to have like pure Polyev energy because there is a reason that Polyev can walk into a room in a small town and have like 3,000 people in the room.
00:02:50.240 He can have like a 12% of the population of the town show up. That is how you win elections.
00:02:56.060 Having people who don't just dislike your opponent, who is Trudeau or Carney in this case going forward, they have to also like you.
00:03:03.820 They have to want to vote for you. Mark Carney doesn't make people not want to vote for him.
00:03:07.920 He makes me not want to vote for him. But in the same way as Justin Trudeau, people don't want to not vote for Mark Carney the same way they don't want to not vote for Trudeau.
00:03:17.040 But that doesn't mean they want him either. This is the big issue we have.
00:03:21.460 All the people celebrating Mark Carney and how great he is were already Trudeau loyalists, and now they're just being loyalists to the new guy.
00:03:28.040 I want to show you something else that's also just insanely sad.
00:03:32.500 It's one of the liberal leadership candidates is already out.
00:03:37.760 He gathered the donations to pay the $350,000 deposit.
00:03:43.140 He got the signatures, which is pretty easy. You'll mean like 300.
00:03:46.440 But he got the $350,000 in.
00:03:49.240 This is just like some sort of fundraising scam at this point.
00:03:53.140 Jamie Batsy is already out of the race, and he's endorsing Mark Carney. 0.99
00:03:58.700 What a pathetic shadow of a man. 0.98
00:04:01.680 Mark Carney here says, 0.99
00:04:02.720 Thank you, Waylon, Jamie Batsy, for adding your voice to this race.
00:04:07.980 You highlighted the need for leadership that takes reconciliation, sustainability, and affordability seriously.
00:04:13.640 I'm honored to have your support and look forward to working together.
00:04:16.560 Did anyone even know what Jamie Batsy did during this entire leadership race?
00:04:21.320 I never saw anything from him.
00:04:23.020 I saw like the announcement that he was running.
00:04:25.820 I never even saw him announce it.
00:04:27.280 I just saw it in the media that he announced.
00:04:29.460 He was in.
00:04:30.840 I was shocked he even made it into the final list of candidates.
00:04:34.980 And now he's out.
00:04:36.960 I don't know why.
00:04:38.340 This is why, if you're Mark Carney, do you want Jamie Batsy as your guy, like, in terms of your endorsement?
00:04:48.740 I would have told him, please go and endorse.
00:04:53.720 Like, Chrystia Freeland. 1.00
00:04:54.960 It'll make her look bad because you look stupid by getting this guy who went to the gym wearing a hammer and sickle shirt. 0.99
00:05:02.400 Yes, this is the guy that Mark Carney wanted endorsing him and has thanked him for getting on board his campaign. 0.99
00:05:10.240 By the way, does it feel almost like Mark Carney's campaign is just Justin Trudeau's fourth term?
00:05:16.000 Because every Trudeau loyalist is coming around to him.
00:05:19.080 This is the guy who he wants endorsing him.
00:05:22.220 Jamie Batsy.
00:05:23.360 The guy who said whenever he sees a thin indigenous girl, he assumes she's on meth or pills.
00:05:28.840 Good job, Mark.
00:05:29.580 That was a great get for you.
00:05:33.020 Now I just want to jump over to something I find is pretty funny.
00:05:36.820 And that is Ruby Dalla actually just going around and trying to, like, rip Mark Carney apart. 1.00
00:05:45.200 She's doing a great job.
00:05:47.040 She's, like, making videos, basically, like, mocking him and all of his previous positions.
00:05:51.360 And there's tons of people out there trying to pretend like Mark Carney isn't against oil and gas.
00:05:56.380 And that, oh, there's always more context around his comments.
00:05:59.040 And the context is always just him justifying why it's okay to ruin the oil and gas industry.
00:06:04.840 But here's Ruby Dalla, another candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada, who's actually marketing herself as, like, female Trump, critiquing Mark Carney.
00:06:13.760 So far, carbon prices have been applied sparingly.
00:06:16.720 They've been set far too low.
00:06:18.480 Mark Carney has always believed in the carbon tax.
00:06:22.040 He helped design it.
00:06:23.600 But we do not need Trudeau 2.0.
00:06:27.620 Vote for Ruby Dalla. 1.00
00:06:29.580 Canada's comeback starts now.
00:06:32.400 Like, again, I would never vote for the Liberal Party, whether it's Ruby in the leadership or not.
00:06:37.740 But, like, that's just hilarious that even in the Liberal Party, there's an idea that this might be popular, ripping on Liberal politicians for being too liberal.
00:06:46.160 She was doing this in response to Mark Carney coming out today and saying, well, of course I'm against the carbon tax.
00:06:53.140 I'm going to remove it on day one.
00:06:55.660 No, he's not.
00:06:56.680 Even if he gets rid of it.
00:06:57.620 This is still a tell.
00:06:58.640 It's still good that he is having to even – he's thinking he even has to say this.
00:07:03.380 But what he's really going to do is he's just going to implement some other version of a carbon tax, like double the industrial carbon tax, which everyone pays that tax anyways.
00:07:12.620 It's not like, oh, that's good because you're forcing big corporations to pay it, but you're not individuals.
00:07:17.840 Everyone pays taxes.
00:07:19.420 It doesn't – even if the government, to you, cuts all of your taxes, you still pay the taxes other people pay, not as much.
00:07:27.240 But you still have to pay those taxes because they're going to pass the costs on to you.
00:07:31.220 If they can barely make any money on their products and services with the current tax rate, they will raise their prices.
00:07:39.100 It's normal basic economics that liberals don't believe in.
00:07:42.340 Remember, guys, I just want to do this quick.
00:07:44.500 If you like this video, make sure to actually like the video, subscribe to the channel, leave a comment, do all that good stuff.
00:07:51.340 But the liberal leadership race is just becoming kind of a mess at this point.
00:07:55.240 And we actually have – like the outsider candidate in this race – yes, it's Ruby Dahl. 0.90
00:08:04.300 The outsider candidate in this race is Chrystia Freeland.
00:08:07.600 And based on the polling that I've seen, I actually think that there is a chance for Chrystia Freeland to win this race.
00:08:14.860 I have to go look over at Polling Canada.
00:08:16.620 Because I saw one poll from Abacus that showed that among liberal supporters – and this isn't members, to be fair.
00:08:23.200 It's really hard to poll members of parties because it's such a small portion of the population.
00:08:27.440 But with liberal supporters, he was at like 57% in an Abacus poll.
00:08:33.480 Now, I'm not sure if I quite believe that Carney would be up to that point right now.
00:08:37.900 But in other polls that I've seen in, I think, Leger, like Freeland's actually not doing too bad.
00:08:45.620 And again, I'd way rather have a Freeland in the race.
00:08:49.220 I don't even think I can find it here.
00:08:50.720 You'll have to take my word for it, but I did see this poll.
00:08:53.920 Mark Carney in a new Leger poll was only at 35%, 36%.
00:08:58.020 And then Chrystia Freeland is at 18%.
00:09:00.300 And then when you calculate the fact that probably Karina Gould has another 10%, and then you have some of these other people, Frank Bayless, with like five or so, and you have Ruby Dalla with like seven or eight.
00:09:12.820 I think in a debate, there is a real chance for Mark Carney's campaign to utterly fall apart.
00:09:18.780 Because right now, the biggest hit on Mark Carney inside the Liberal Party is he is just Justin Trudeau's fourth term.
00:09:25.360 He is just the warm body that Justin Trudeau is using so that while he leaves office, he doesn't really leave office.
00:09:32.360 Because Carney's campaign is slathered in all of the Trudeau team people.
00:09:37.480 Katie Telford, Gerald Butts, Rob Silver, all of Trudeau's closest ministers are endorsing him, everyone from his wedding party.
00:09:47.280 Justin Trudeau just hasn't come out and specifically endorsed Mark Carney, which he's not going to do because we'd be putting a hat on a hat at that point.
00:09:54.060 And it would make Carney look bad, which really demonstrates how much Justin Trudeau is hated in this country.
00:09:59.620 But if Freeland or Ruby or any of the other candidates who don't like Mark Carney get up on stage and they say that you have the entire team Trudeau behind you and you're pretending to be different.
00:10:10.360 And they actually like all these people, again, don't deserve to be prime minister.
00:10:13.840 Like, just least of all is Mark Carney.
00:10:17.220 So I'm cheering for Mark Carney to lose to any of these people.
00:10:20.560 But Chrystia Freeland, despite the fact she was deputy prime minister, has a way bigger case to say that she's the outsider because of all of the, frankly, pretty awful things they've been trying to do to her since she was taken out.
00:10:31.780 The people that are endorsing Freeland are all the liberals with, like, kind of half a brain, like Anthony Housefather and whatnot.
00:10:40.420 And it's like there's kind of like this big struggle session going on between people who are willing to, like, capitulate and endorse Carney and those who are, like, rebels.
00:10:50.480 It's so weird to think of Chrystia Freeland as a rebel, but that's actually what's going on right now.
00:10:54.700 And I think in a debate, Carney will not do very well because he has no leg to stand on on any of the policy stances he's taking or with any of the support he's getting from Team Trudeau.
00:11:04.540 He can keep saying he's an outsider, but he is clearly the biggest insider in the race.
00:11:10.180 Anyways, so that's it for me in this video, guys.
00:11:13.600 I'm going to be back with another one later today.
00:11:16.380 Definitely will be covering the Ontario provincial election a lot in the coming weeks.
00:11:20.480 If you live in Ontario, actually, just a reminder, guys, please vote for the New Blue Party of Ontario.
00:11:26.860 It's an actual conservative party.
00:11:29.000 And this isn't like the whole, oh, vote PPC federally because Polyev's not conservative enough.
00:11:33.980 Polyev is plenty conservative.
00:11:35.400 I would never endorse people voting for a party that's slightly better than Polyev. 1.00
00:11:40.300 Polyev is clearly way different than the liberals and very good on a lot of policies.
00:11:45.020 Ford is not.
00:11:45.680 Ford and the PCs are literally indistinguishable from Bonnie Crombie to the point that they are proposing COVID-style relief spending in response to tariffs that they've only done everything in their power to steer into.
00:11:59.300 Ford has been steering into tariffs because he thinks they will make him more popular by being the big puffed-out chest guy saying that Donald Trump can does not for sale even though he could have secured the border and we could have avoided all this.
00:12:11.700 So vote for the New Blue Party, check out their website, New Blue Ontario, Google it.
00:12:18.120 Think about running as a candidate for them if you're not a candidate.
00:12:20.940 They want a candidate in every single riding.
00:12:23.180 So throw your hat in the race if you want to make a difference and try and hold the Ontario PCs from getting another majority and being able to do whatever the heck they want.
00:12:32.060 Anyways, that's it.
00:12:33.620 See you guys later.
00:12:34.220 I'll see you guys later.
