Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. It's been an oddly bad last 30 days for Prime Minister
00:00:06.360
Mark Carney and his Liberal government. And when I say oddly bad, I don't mean it in the
00:00:11.880
sense that I normally expect good things from them. I just don't expect this level of incompetence.
00:00:17.660
I'm a Conservative. I don't really like their policies at all. At the same time, every issue
00:00:23.240
that has come up for Carney and the Liberals over the last 30 days have been mostly of their
00:00:28.440
own creation. It's not like a crisis naturally arose and they fumbled the ball a little bit and
00:00:34.480
got some criticism for it. They just keep doing extremely dumb things that everyone knew was
00:00:40.240
done before they tried it and then they suffered the consequences of their own very obviously bad
00:00:46.100
actions. Like implementing the digital services tax during a trade negotiation with the US that
00:00:52.300
caused Trump to flip the table and then Carney had to sheepishly rescind the tax in order to just get
00:00:57.820
back to negotiating, which he claimed was part of the long game. Or Carney lying for several months
00:01:03.180
about his conflicts of interest and getting caught in a scandal where there's tons of video footage of
00:01:07.880
him claiming he didn't have any investments outside of property and having cash. And then it all came
00:01:13.360
out that he was lying and a bunch of his campaign promises happened to almost perfectly line up with
00:01:18.740
a lot of his investment portfolio. That was really stupid. And then we have Carney getting up in front of an
00:01:25.740
Indigenous organization and admitting that Bill C-5 is a fraud. He's not actually planning on getting
00:01:31.600
any pipelines built because he groveled about how don't worry, I'm going to respect the consultation
00:01:36.760
process and don't worry, we're not going to get anything done without your consensus and approval,
00:01:41.220
which means still nothing's going to get done. We are literally back to square one, which is why the
00:01:45.740
Conservatives voted for Bill C-5. There's some bad stuff in that bill, but the main bad thing about the
00:01:50.600
bill is it's symbolic. The Conservatives voted for it. It might as well have just been called the
00:01:55.500
get stuff done bill. Conservatives voted for it and say, now get stuff done. And now he's admitting
00:01:59.380
he's not actually going to get anything done. But that's for a different video. This video,
00:02:04.240
we're going to talk about somebody that Mark Carney put into his cabinet, ignoring better judgment,
00:02:13.020
ignoring the obvious red flags about this person being inexperienced and obviously kind of dull.
00:02:19.260
Gary Amasangri is our current public safety minister in Canada. The man who probably should
00:02:26.080
have been removed the second he admitted he didn't know what a possession and acquisition license was
00:02:31.180
or the restricted possession acquisition license, PAL and RPAL. The public safety minister does not know
00:02:38.080
what a Canadian gun license is or that you have to go to through training in order to get one
00:02:42.960
because the man is completely incompetent. Well, the man is also a terrorist sympathizer and was
00:02:50.260
writing letters to Immigration Canada on behalf of members of the Tamil Tigers, a Sri Lankan-based
00:02:57.360
terrorist organization, which is also a recognized terrorist organization in Canada. He was writing
00:03:02.700
letters in order for some of their members to be able to come to Canada, overlooking their propensity
00:03:08.120
to blow things up and shoot people. And Mark Carney at a press conference was asked by reporters about
00:03:14.460
this and he got utterly embarrassed. This whole press conference in general was full of Mark Carney
00:03:19.920
having to address issues that were obvious well before this ever came up that he should have been
00:03:25.760
already dealing with. And then also we're going to get to the border stuff where, again, for some
00:03:30.560
random reason, he just admits effectively Trump's right on the border and that Canada does not do
00:03:35.560
any border security. But check this out. But if I responded to it, it would be a bad response in
00:03:41.160
the middle of a negotiation. That's really, the rest of it was just filler.
00:03:48.460
Daniel Love, Global News. Prime Minister, Global News investigation has unveiled that the public safety
00:03:54.280
minister wrote letters before he was the public safety minister on behalf of a man and his immigration
00:03:59.840
status to come to Canada, even though this man was a member of a listed suspected terrorist group,
00:04:05.540
the public safety minister. One, I just got to cut this guy off and say it's not a listed suspected
00:04:11.140
terrorist group. It's a terrorist group. In fact, it's actually so insane. I'm not sure if you guys
00:04:15.960
know this one. Patrick Brown was running for the conservative leadership in 2022 before he was kicked
00:04:20.580
out for effectively donation fraud. The man was running on potentially delisting the Tamil Tigers
00:04:27.020
because that's the kind of crowd that Patrick Brown runs in. But here's Mark Carney's answer on why his
00:04:32.600
minister is writing letters in favor of terrorists in charge of border security, obviously very
00:04:37.660
important to any trade deal going forward. What confidence do you have in the public safety
00:04:42.020
minister with your action to this, sir? Thank you. Thank you for the question. Like the public safety
00:04:48.240
minister has been transparent about the details of that situation. And he has my confidence. Thank you.
00:04:54.880
This will have time for one last question that I just don't think I'm going to love.
00:05:00.720
Continue, please. Hi there, Fallon Hewitt from the Hamilton Spectator. I had a question. So you've spoken
00:05:06.760
about the supports for steelworkers, but the impacts... But yeah, so they didn't move on to anything else
00:05:12.320
regarding it. But I like how he just, he has my full confidence. Like you're, you're not going to shuffle
00:05:17.340
him out. That would actually win you some points here. Do you know what this whole thing reminds me of?
00:05:22.300
It reminds me of the Paul Chang situation, if you remember that during the election.
00:05:26.840
We had a liberal MP, a sitting MP running for re-election, and he called for the arrest of
00:05:34.360
a conservative MP candidate in Danforth, Joe Tay, because I guess he's wanted in China. Wanted for
00:05:43.200
completely illegitimate reasons. Wanted because he was helping lead a pro-democracy protest movement
00:05:50.440
in Hong Kong. And Paul Chang was mentioning that there's a bounty and, you know, you can go and
00:05:55.040
arrest him. And when you watch the footage, it really wasn't a joke or anything like that. He was
00:05:59.620
using this like it was a real Joe Tay scandal. Like, don't you know Joe Tay's a wanted criminal?
00:06:05.000
By whom? By the Chinese Communist Party. And if you remember, when he was asked about this for 20
00:06:13.300
minutes of straight questioning, he kept saying, Paul Chang has apologized. I have my full, I have
00:06:19.560
confidence in him. He's going to do better, all this stuff. And then he later dropped him. So I am
00:06:26.260
setting my watch for when Gary Amasangari is going to get to walk the short plank. Because man, this guy
00:06:34.980
is utterly incompetent. He already sucked on the issues. And now he's going, he's in favor of terrorist
00:06:41.380
groups. He's just writing letters. Do you think any white politician would survive a second writing
00:06:47.780
a letter in favor of someone part of the IRA? Do you think that would ever happen? Any other terrorist
00:06:53.080
group, you know, like some Nazi is coming up from another country and you write a letter saying,
00:06:58.640
I think he's a cool guy. Nobody would ever let you live that down. And the Tamil Tigers will bomb
00:07:04.760
churches, will kill random officials looking for like, I don't even know what. It doesn't matter once
00:07:10.720
you start killing people. People shouldn't care about your perspectives. But here is now Mark
00:07:14.820
Carney admitting that Canada does not do a great, very good job on the border.
00:07:18.500
In the question period, we'll begin with, we'll do 15 minutes. One question, one follow up. First
00:07:23.300
question. Hi, my name is Simone Gavros. I'm with CHCH News. My question is more of a local question
00:07:29.480
about crime. Within the last few months, two random innocent bystanders were killed in two
00:07:35.200
separate shootings. And in the latest shooting on Friday, that suspect is a 17-year-old who police
00:07:40.920
are still looking for. There's also a lot of concern when it comes to repeat offenders. My
00:07:45.900
question to you today is, what is your government doing to keep communities, including Hamilton,
00:07:50.560
safe when it comes to gun violence? Thank you very much for the question. And my
00:07:54.740
sincere condolences for the victims of the direct victims of these crimes, their families,
00:08:01.380
violence, but also for the communities and the concern and anxiety that horrible crimes like
00:08:11.820
this create. One of the things the federal government is doing, and we are making a huge
00:08:18.520
emphasis on this, is to control our border better. Because I suspect, and we'll see when this
00:08:25.260
individual is caught, that that gun came from the United States. The vast majority of firearms,
00:08:36.080
illegal firearms, firearms used in crime, come across our border. So why are we going after
00:08:42.560
farmers for owning hunting shotguns? Why are we going after people for owning sport weapons?
00:08:49.040
Why are we doing this? He just admitted all the guns are coming out from the U.S. And then he also
00:08:53.180
admitted we don't do a good job on border security. So at the same time, he's trying to blame the U.S.,
00:08:58.680
he's also basically admitted that Trump's actually right on border security needing to be tightened
00:09:02.980
up on both sides. I don't, this again, unforced errors. From a rhetorical standpoint, he's already
00:09:11.480
defending the guy who is the public safety minister writing letters for terrorists. We just had this air
00:09:18.520
hijacking situation where the U.S. had to bail us out. And then we also have him just admitting that
00:09:24.380
we're not doing anything to control weapon flow over the border, but then trying to sideswipe the
00:09:28.180
Americans for the issue, even when you could say, well, you just said that you're not also doing
00:09:33.180
anything to prevent people from bringing them over the border. And also, again, what's with you guys
00:09:38.020
trying to confiscate weapons from law-abiding gun owners when you've just said that they're not
00:09:43.640
legal weapons, that the vast majority of shootings are committed with illegal guns smuggled up from
00:09:49.200
the United States. But what do I know? And so what we've been doing in recent months is making
00:09:55.540
very large investments in controlling those borders much better. We have to do more, but we're talking
00:10:03.040
thousands more CBSA, Border Service Agents. We're talking drone surveillance, helicopter surveillance,
00:10:09.380
working more closely with the United States on both sides of the border, both elements of the
00:10:15.080
border, including addressing the scourge of fentanyl. The second aspect to your question,
00:10:21.740
which your question touches on and the tragic situation to touch on, is bail reform and the
00:10:28.780
importance of bail reform, particularly with respect to repeat offenders. We have commitments on that.
00:10:33.640
We're working with the provinces on those issues. I'll be...
00:10:37.060
I'm sorry, but working with the provinces on those issues is stupid. It is a federal government
00:10:42.600
created issue. Provinces can also fumble the ball even harder the way they do in British Columbia,
00:10:48.360
where they don't even prosecute people on time, which is a provincial responsibility. But this is
00:10:54.380
something where you just need to repeal Bill C-75 and Bill C-5. It's not the current Bill C-5 about,
00:11:00.340
you know, getting stuff done bill, the fake getting stuff done bill. Bill C-5, another version of it,
00:11:05.700
was passed, obviously, when Justin Trudeau was prime minister, and it was lowering sentences for such
00:11:11.100
crimes as carrying an illegally obtained handgun, which seems a little bit strange considering you're
00:11:18.400
presenting yourselves as, you know, the tough on guns guy. At the same time, you haven't been cracking
00:11:23.880
down on guns at the border. And then even if someone does have an illegal weapon, they can get
00:11:28.880
off easy. But not, you know, not the... your farmer uncle who owns, like, an AR-15. That's now
00:11:36.080
banned, and he has illegal contraband for even holding that thing, even though he's a responsible
00:11:42.900
gun owner, very unlikely to ever commit any sort of violent crime. This is where they are so
00:11:48.620
contradictory. And notice he even admitted, like, the scourge of fentanyl, and that is a border issue.
00:11:54.120
Two, I thought the liberal narrative was that Trump was wrong, that we have a fentanyl issue on the
00:12:00.600
border. Maybe we do, maybe we don't. I know people like to cite the figure, oh, only 1% of fentanyl is
00:12:06.080
caught over the Canadian border. It's like, well, also, compared to the Mexico, is a disproportionately
00:12:11.620
dissolve of fentanyl mostly come from Mexico? Yes. Also, I really doubt the amount of fentanyl going in
00:12:17.600
from Canada to the United States only represents 1%, considering we really don't do anything on the
00:12:23.180
border. Even today, we're just saying we're going to start doing it. More agents on the actual
00:12:28.080
controlled ports of entry don't do that much when we don't actually scan trucks, when we don't
00:12:33.020
actually search them. We just have more agents. We need tougher actual border security. We need
00:12:37.940
agents along the border, not just at ports of entry. And that's good if we're going to roll out
00:12:42.800
drones and helicopters, perfect. But the thing is, considering the fact that we do so little,
00:12:48.340
I really doubt the amount of fentanyl that goes from especially BC into Washington is only making
00:12:54.520
up 1% of what goes in the United States. I think we don't really know what goes over the border.
00:12:59.320
And is it 20% that's coming from Canada? I think that's a bit high. But I could see 10, 15% coming
00:13:05.740
from Canada because some of the biggest drug labs in the country's history, sometimes in North America's
00:13:12.420
history have been in British Columbia, not far away from the border. I don't think our drug dealers are
00:13:18.580
such virtuous people. They're not smuggling it through a port of entry in Canada or just walking
00:13:23.660
it over an undefended part of the border in a backpack and handing it off to a guy to go sell
00:13:27.680
it in Portland in Seattle. Call me crazy, but I think that drug dealers like to make money and
00:13:34.680
they will break border laws in order to do it. They're already willing to kill people with their
00:13:39.740
product. I think they'll walk over the border to make more money in the United States and not just
00:13:43.960
keep selling it into Vancouver. But that should be it for this video, guys. I'm going to be back
00:13:49.580
later, maybe tomorrow to talk about that conference with Mark Carney and the indigenous groups,
00:13:56.280
because that is, again, one of those major promises. I'm going to get resource projects done.
00:14:03.020
We're going to have an energy corridor. We're going to have pipelines. Don't worry. I may approve a
00:14:07.580
pipeline. I've been saying from the start, my theory on what Carney is going to do is he is
00:14:12.880
just going to keep making excuses and deflecting responsibility for who's blocking the pipelines
00:14:18.040
to other people. He will keep saying yes, but he'll say, but this eco-actives group said no.
00:14:23.320
Oh, but the premier of British Columbia, oh, the premier of Quebec said no. Oh, the indigenous group
00:14:28.020
said no. He'll be the one yes in the room, but he'll be surrounded by no saying, well, I'm saying yes,
00:14:33.400
but they said no, even though he can just hammer the projects through if he wants. He'll just keep
00:14:38.580
finding excuses because the activist base, both the eco-activists as well as the indigenous activists
00:14:45.560
are part of the Liberal Party base. They are more scared of those people than they are of Western
00:14:51.180
Canadians who want those energy projects complete. But anyways, so make sure to subscribe to the channel,
00:14:56.860
guys. Like this video. Leave a comment. Do all that great stuff to support the channel,
