People who believe in woke ideology are more likely to be depressed, anxious, and unhappy than those who oppose it. This is no coincidence. Woke ideology is taught in schools from kindergarten all the way through college, and it's no coincidence that millennials and Gen Z are more prone to depression and anxiety.
00:00:00.000I just want to make a quick video on this interesting study that just came out from the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, because it shows something that probably doesn't shock you just as much as it doesn't shock me.
00:00:10.900That people who believe in woke ideology are more likely to be depressed, anxious, and unhappy than people who oppose it.
00:00:19.020The general framing of the study was that if you have what they would call critical social justice attitudes, that you are more likely to be just unhappy with the state of the world.
00:00:29.240And this is because, like wokeism implies through the verb, that you've been woken up to all the corruption of Western society, all the racism, homophobia, all the oppression going on around you, and not only is it all evil and terrible and bad, but it's secret, and only you and a small group of people know about it.
00:00:46.900So not only do you believe in an ideology that is purely negative, that everything around you is terrible and horrible and should be burned down, but you and only a small select few people actually even know about it, which is incredibly isolating.
00:00:59.240This is why this ideology in the West should not be taught to any children at all.
00:01:04.600There is no coincidence as to why millennials and Gen Z people are more likely to have mental health issues, and the fact that they are literally being taught woke ideologies from basically kindergarten all the way through college.
00:01:17.940And yes, it's not always overt, but especially in a lot of social studies curriculums, there's a lot of anti-Westernism being taught, and a lot of it being pushed on social media platforms, especially like TikTok.
00:01:29.440TikTok. This is why TikTok should be banned. It's not just that it's pushing stupid ideas, it's pushing ideas that can make your child depressed, and ergo potentially even commit suicide.
00:01:39.800There is high rates of suicide in younger generations, and no doubt is connected to nihilistic views that are baked into woke ideology.
00:01:48.800Something that the study says that I found extremely interesting is that, basically, people who are more likely to be depressed, anxious, and unhappy, the idea was that, though, obviously, one-to-one is saying that that would be something where if you do this, you will be depressed.
00:02:09.400And, basically, woke ideologies, these critical social justice attitudes were rated at a 0.62 to one.
00:02:18.680So, basically, like 60% of the time, if you are woke, you are going to be depressed, anxious, or unhappy, whereas people who oppose wokeism were only rated at a 0.19, very unlikely, very weakly correlated with depression and anxiety.
00:02:35.540This proves to me that we should actually be teaching very pro-Western traditional values in the classroom.
00:02:42.660Nothing like we're going to start having Bible reading classes in schools, but we should be teaching that there's actually something inherently great about the West, that you are a part of an inherently great civilization, and that you shouldn't be guilty about it.
00:02:56.560You shouldn't be guilty about your race, or your religion, or anything like that.
00:03:00.880You should be very happy in the society you live in, and you should be happy about the capitalist free market system, because it allows you to act the way you want in the market.
00:03:09.040You're not being told what to do by government officials.
00:03:11.760You should be happy about social values that promote family units and whatnot.
00:03:18.340This is how you actually oppose stuff like this.
00:03:21.100But these were the statements in the study that people were asked to react to.
00:03:25.320It was stuff like, if white people have an average, a higher level, or on average, a higher level of income than black people, it is because of racism.
00:03:34.900Or university reading lists should include fewer whiter European authors.
00:03:39.200Or microaggression should be challenged often and actively.
00:03:42.980And things like these statements, if you agreed with them, you are more likely to be depressed.
00:03:46.840And those are just, I find, not just that they're negative attitudes to have about the world, but they're entirely illogical views to also have.
00:03:55.560And I think there's also something very depressing about holding up illogical views in your own mind.
00:04:01.700Illogical views are going to naturally confuse you, and it's going to make you have a harder time finding your whole place in society, feeling like everything is so confusing.
00:04:11.500People who have their feet firmly planted on the ground of reality tend to not be people who are having existential crises.
00:04:19.920When you can't make sense of the world, which woke ideology is almost purely meant to make it so that you can't make sense of the world, you're naturally going to be far more anxious, which can lead to unhappiness and oppression.
00:04:31.520Anyways, that should be it for me today.
00:04:33.880I'll link the DOI link for the study in the description below if you want to read it.
00:04:39.380It's a lot of, like, mathematical, statistical regressions to show the correlation between people who selected different things and these different emotional states.
00:04:47.520But it's still interesting to read, like, the abstract and the conclusions it reaches.
00:04:52.340But I also want to plug the fact that I have a legal fundraiser linked in the description as well.
00:04:58.300Myself and the National Telegraph are being sued by a billionaire developer for literally no reason.
00:05:02.860It's been going on for two years, and they still haven't actually proven any evidence to say that whatever we said about him was wrong.
00:05:08.420The vast majority of what we said about him was based off of Globe and Mail reporting about him, and the only new thing we said was our guest writer noting that he had donated to Aaron O'Toole's 2020 Conservative Party leadership campaign.
00:05:20.440You know, it's just some guy trying to bully us, and if you contribute any amount of money, it really helps us out.
00:05:26.020We've had to pay more than $26,000 fighting this lawsuit.
00:05:29.240So even $5, $10, $50 really helps lower the burden of cost on us.
00:05:35.220Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
