The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - This is why Justin Trudeau is losing

00:00:00.000 I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Even though he would never listen to me,

00:00:04.760 if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau actually developed a little bit of humility, which is

00:00:09.160 already a comedic concept, he would actually gain a lot more support back in the polls.

00:00:14.180 Justin Trudeau's biggest electoral issue is the fact he has no ability to take responsibility for

00:00:19.360 his own actions. If he did, even if he said, I messed up a lot, there would be a lot of people

00:00:24.240 saying, well, at least he's listening. But Justin Trudeau does not have the ability to listen. He

00:00:29.720 only has the ability to blame other people, demonize other people, and then wash his hands

00:00:34.540 of the situation, pretend that he's never accused anyone of anything, even though he is the biggest 0.81

00:00:38.920 political bully in all of Canada. So I want to highlight two things from the Liberal Party

00:00:44.020 social media. One, a video that I'll talk about a bit later, and one, a graphic they're putting out

00:00:49.240 just demonstrating that they don't understand how the average Canadian voter works. They are so used

00:00:54.400 to relying on Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver to win the vast majority of their seats that they

00:01:00.340 really don't have to care about doing that well outside of those areas, because even if they win

00:01:04.200 the occasional seat in Alberta and Manitoba, and they win a bunch of the Maritimes, they're pretty

00:01:08.860 safe in government, whether that means winning majority or minority government. It's kind of like

00:01:14.580 playing on easy mode to be a Liberal in Canada, since the deck is kind of stacked in your favour. But

00:01:20.440 they've gotten so used to not trying that they're now just assuming that every single voter is a

00:01:25.520 Bay Street investor, and at the same time, they're now attacking those Bay Street investors because

00:01:31.380 they need to play to their base who is struggling economically. They're in this strange bind where

00:01:36.420 they are both playing to hyper-progressive rich people in Toronto, at the same time they are now

00:01:41.620 attacking those people to try and win back all the struggling voters who stopped voting for them.

00:01:46.120 So this is the first thing I wanted to highlight. The Liberals are still posting about Alex Jones for

00:01:52.560 some reason. I do not know why. This post reads,

00:01:55.580 Piripolyev got the endorsement of far-right Americans conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, and he still hasn't

00:02:01.320 denounced his support. And they actually had to use the headline, Piripolyev accused of tolerating the

00:02:08.400 support of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. How is that a story? You've been accused of potentially

00:02:15.040 tolerating the support of Alex Jones, a man that I don't doubt that Piripolyev has heard his name,

00:02:21.020 but probably doesn't know or care anything about him. So, but the Liberals think that you are a

00:02:27.460 histrionic, hyper-progressive downtown still wearing a mask, blue hair, and screaming at anyone who's

00:02:32.860 slightly conservative, so that this is going to motivate you to vote. And if that doesn't motivate

00:02:38.180 you to vote, well, Justin Trudeau can always use some class warfare and pretend that everyone's

00:02:43.360 problems are the 1%, even though he is the 1% of the 1%, and he himself is the one that's been

00:02:50.240 ruining everyone's lives. Maybe that's what he means. Maybe when he blames the 1%, he's talking 0.98

00:02:54.180 about himself, but he's trying to pretend that it's everyone in the 1% when he's the one who's

00:02:59.040 been in charge of policy this entire time. So here's the Liberal Party video that they posted

00:03:04.040 themselves. Asking the wealthiest 1% to pay a little bit more to make sure that young people

00:03:09.140 can see themselves buying a home in a few years, to make sure that we have dental care right across

00:03:15.880 the country for seniors, to make sure that we're delivering prescription contraceptives for free

00:03:21.880 to young women who need the options of family planning, to deliver free diabetes medication

00:03:27.380 to people right across the country so that we avoid those consequences. That's the role of a

00:03:32.140 government. Okay, guys, I'm going to say spoiler alert here. Justin Trudeau is not going to deliver

00:03:37.060 any of this stuff. And the rich 1% paying a little bit more money is not going to do anything because

00:03:43.140 the government is incompetent at delivering these resources. The free market is way better at making

00:03:47.940 these resources and products more available and cheaper. Whenever the government gets involved,

00:03:53.140 they might make it cheaper for some people, but they're also going to shorten the supply.

00:03:56.600 The only way the 1% paying more is going to make young Canadians see themselves living in a home 0.94

00:04:02.400 one day is if the money gets spent on the government shooting a movie about a fictional world where

00:04:07.660 millennials and zoomers can actually afford to buy a house. That's the only way I'm going to see myself 1.00

00:04:12.520 being able to just fully purchase a house without a disgusting mortgage in the future is if they

00:04:17.520 literally just cast me in the film or I'm buying a house and then I go home until I rent an apartment or

00:04:23.540 something like that. That's the only way any of this is going to work. But Justin Trudeau just

00:04:27.100 thinks that if he bribes people and then instigates class warfare, somehow he's going to come out and

00:04:31.540 top, even though the NDP and the Greens tend to be the more socialistic left-wing parties. So I don't

00:04:37.040 know why he's doing this. This is more of an NDP look for him that he can't pull off.

00:04:41.660 He can do everything, but it should be there as a partner in people's success and there to make sure

00:04:47.260 that the system is fair for everyone. That has been our focus every step of the way. Of course-

00:04:52.840 Dude, if that's been your focus every step of the way for nine years and everyone is poorer,

00:04:57.860 there's higher unemployment, there are fewer actual good paying jobs around, and all the housing costs

00:05:04.280 are through the roof. They've like almost doubled since he entered office. I think that you should

00:05:08.600 stop focusing on trying to help people. That's really what people are asking for. They're not

00:05:12.480 saying, oh, Trudeau, you're doing it wrong. And if we were in there, we would manipulate the

00:05:16.060 government to make everyone trillionaires. No, we would want you to just stop it. If you actually

00:05:21.360 stop tomorrow, the best times that Justin Trudeau has been prime minister are when he goes on

00:05:25.800 vacation. Because when he goes on vacation, he's not doing anything. When he is back working,

00:05:31.340 that's what freaks out the markets. That's what freaks out small business owners. Everyone thinks

00:05:35.440 he's about to pass a new tax because he usually does. If he's around an office long enough, he finds

00:05:39.620 some new way of taxing people more and pretending that that's going to make us billionaires if he just

00:05:44.140 taxes people enough. If he rips away money from people who are productive and throws it into

00:05:49.040 boondoggle projects, somehow we're all going to come out wealthier at the end of the day. It's like

00:05:53.080 the magic box theory of politics. If you give this politician more power, more money, and put it in

00:05:59.280 their magic box, something's going to come out the other side. And every time it doesn't materialize,

00:06:03.580 it turns out you just need to add another billion dollars into the box before it was going to work.

00:06:08.600 Because we're asking the ultra-wealthy to pay a little more, the conservatives have already come out

00:06:12.720 and said they're voting against this budget. No big surprise there. They have always demonstrated a

00:06:17.480 belief in trickle-down theory, and Pierre Polyev has been at the heart of that every step of the

00:06:22.800 way. Yeah, free market economics, supply-side economics don't work at all. And that's why

00:06:27.600 we're all way better off during Harper. It's just because Harper's, I don't know, some warlock or

00:06:33.180 something like that. And that's how he made us all wealthier. But trickle-down economics doesn't.

00:06:37.960 This isn't appealing to anybody. This is why Justin Trudeau is losing. I heard that there's a poll

00:06:43.300 that's coming out that shows the Liberal Party is up doesn't surprise me. The Liberals are going to

00:06:48.020 rise in the polls every time they announce a big, massive new slate of spending. Every time a

00:06:52.380 government comes out with a budget and the media bends over backwards to pretend that this is great

00:06:56.680 and we're all billionaires already because of how great this budget is, it naturally puts up the

00:07:01.380 incumbent government a little bit in the polls. When people keep realizing they keep getting poor,

00:07:05.580 no matter how much Justin Trudeau kicks rich people, everyone's going to turn on them and keep

00:07:10.300 voting Conservative. Even in this new poll, it's probably still going to be the Conservatives

00:07:13.440 winning majority. The Conservatives should win a majority. It's not even exactly that the Conservatives

00:07:18.180 deserve it. I think Pauli deserves to be Prime Minister. He's worked hard at becoming it and

00:07:22.760 grinding it out in government. But it's not even exactly that the Conservatives deserve to win a

00:07:27.180 majority. It's that the Liberals and the NDP so profoundly deserve to never be in office again.

00:07:33.040 They just seem to have contempt for anybody who's actually successful. And then they pretend that they

00:07:39.040 are standing up for the poor, the downtrodden, and the suffering when really they're just using them

00:07:43.900 as a stage to stand on while they point and tell people to attack rich people. Anyways, that should

00:07:50.520 be it for me today, guys. And I just want to do my normal plug that I, Wyatt Claypool, I'm running for

00:07:55.460 the riding of Calgary Signal Hill. It's on the west side of Calgary here. This is what the riding

00:08:00.500 boundaries are going to look like after they get redistributed in a few days' time here. So if you live in

00:08:05.120 this area, buy a Conservative Party membership, vote for me number one on your ballot in the

00:08:09.700 nomination, and check out my website in the description below, wyattclaypool.com. And you

00:08:14.040 can also donate to the TNT Legal Fund if you want to help us fight off a bunch of frivolous lawsuits

00:08:18.780 we're dealing with that have cost us a combined like $33,000. The one major one has cost me like

00:08:25.080 $29,000. It's ridiculous. Anyways, that's all for me today. Someone said yesterday, I always say this is 0.57

00:08:31.880 it for me today, even if I make multiple videos. And you know what, you're a weasel for pointing 0.74

00:08:36.340 that out, because you're right. And I keep doing that. And I hate it now. And now every single time

00:08:40.540 I say that's it for me today, I think about your comment. So yeah, feel good about yourself for

00:08:45.460 getting inside my head. But I'm coming after you in some abstract way. Have a good one.
