Justin Trudeau has removed Randy Boissoneau from the Liberal government's cabinet, and a new minister has been named to replace him. This is the latest in a series of scandals that have plagued Randy since he was first elected to Parliament in 2015. He's been accused of running a fake health care company with some of his friends, lying to get government contracts, and falsely claiming to be Indigenous to get better access to government contracts.

00:00:00.000 I'm in Vancouver right now, but I couldn't resist covering this story because it's just so funny.
00:00:06.320 So as of 20 minutes ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just removed Randy Boissoneau from the Liberal Government Cabinet.
00:00:15.980 I don't know why this guy was a cabinet minister in the first place, but Randy used to be our Minister of Employment and Workforce or whatever it was.
00:00:26.540 And he's been plagued with scandals for about three or four months now.
00:00:31.280 You probably already know about the whole other Randy thing where he's running this fake health care firm with some of his friends.
00:00:39.060 He's claiming to be Indigenous to get better access to government contracts.
00:00:43.700 They're not even fulfilling the government health care contracts. 0.98
00:00:46.200 They're just acting as a stupid middleman organization that takes government contracts because of his connections to the Liberal Party and then selling them to other people who can actually fulfill them. 0.84
00:00:56.920 He was a Liberal MP between 2015 and 2019, and then he was out of office between 2019 and 2021. 0.95
00:01:04.020 And that's when he started all of this health care firm stuff.
00:01:06.760 But he kept carrying it on after he was already re-elected and acting as a cabinet minister.
00:01:13.920 And that's where all this other Randy stuff came from, because he had to blame his corruption on somebody else.
00:01:20.100 And he said it was just another guy named Randy, which was obviously a lie.
00:01:25.040 Now, I have to give credit here to Anthony Koch, because this man called it as tightly as you could possibly call it.
00:01:33.160 Angelo Isidoro, the director of the B.C. Conservative Party's campaign, actually clipped this together because it was hilarious how well it lined up.
00:01:43.120 He said, shot chaser, because Anthony Koch said, Randy Boissoneau will be out of cabinet by the end of this week.
00:01:50.320 That was six minutes ago at the time that this was screenshot.
00:01:53.900 And then one minute ago, Robert Fyfe, PMO statement, the Prime Minister and MP Randy Boissoneau have agreed that Mr. Boissoneau will step away from cabinet effective immediately.
00:02:05.560 Mr. Boissoneau will focus on clearing the allegations made against him.
00:02:09.780 Minister Jeanette Petipas-Taylor will temporarily assume his position.
00:02:15.460 I don't know how to, you know, say French people's name, even if that's not a French person.
00:02:20.280 And I don't know, I don't care, because I'm bad at pronouncing names and I'm never going to get better at it.
00:02:25.860 But the funny thing about this was that there was already just cause to remove Randy months ago, even before all the cocaine Randy and nose candy Randy stuff already came out.
00:02:39.020 That was something that was reported three days ago by the National Post and other outlets saying that they were literally this fake global health imports firm that Randy and his weirdo friends were running.
00:02:51.500 I have to highlight what his friend looks like, Stephen Anderson, who looks like a man who invented cocaine back in the 70s.
00:02:58.240 That those guys also were sharing a mailing address with someone who was implicated in a cocaine bust that recently happened.
00:03:07.120 It's nuts what's been going on.
00:03:09.840 But there was already good enough reason to get rid of Randy Boissoneau.
00:03:14.100 The amount of government graft, taking contracts that he had no ability to actually fulfill just to sell them to other people.
00:03:21.420 It's saying that he was an indigenous to get a leg up on his competition for these contracts.
00:03:27.660 And but the real reason that Randy Boissoneau seems to have been kicked out was effectively woke reasons that Randy Boissoneau had this tape come out yesterday, which seems to be the tipping point where in the midst of him saying, oh, I've just been misspeaking.
00:03:42.240 I'm not actually, you know, I'm not actually indigenous.
00:03:45.720 I never tried to say I was indigenous.
00:03:47.780 I just said I was a non-status adopted Cree person, even though that heavily implies he's Cree, not just somebody who isn't Cree, who at one point was adopted by a Cree family or a family who's Métis, who has a Cree connection.
00:04:01.100 But he was really kicked out because of this tape that came out yesterday where he gets up on stage and he then calls himself Strong Eagle Man, basically saying I'm indigenous.
00:04:16.380 I'm indigenous because my indigenous name means Strong Eagle Man.
00:04:20.640 And my favorite response to Randy Boissoneau being removed from cabinet was from my colleague Daniel Boardman, who sometimes does streams with me in his own videos.
00:04:31.060 He said Eagle down as soon as Randy Boissoneau was removed from cabinet.
00:04:34.920 But here is the tape that basically got this guy removed from cabinet.
00:04:39.680 This was shortly after he was reelected back in 2021.
00:04:50.640 I do like the cheeky edit people have done of like showing him like putting the hand sanitizer on his hands.
00:04:57.860 It's just so performative.
00:05:00.420 Well, thanks very much, Chief Mooring.
00:05:02.640 Good afternoon, everyone.
00:05:04.240 Bonjour tout le monde.
00:05:05.740 Thank you for that kind introduction.
00:05:07.800 It's always great to be home and see so many familiar faces.
00:05:11.920 Tansé, bonjour, tawau.
00:05:14.760 That means guests, you are welcome.
00:05:18.180 There is room here.
00:05:19.120 My name is Randy Boissoneau.
00:05:23.580 I'm the Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance, but I'm also known as Strong Eagle Man in the Cree community.
00:05:29.980 And I'm delighted to be here with Enoch Cree Nation Chief.
00:05:32.900 And I would like to acknowledge the territory that we are on is on Treaty 6 lands.
00:05:37.000 And I'd like to recognize Chief Billy Morin for your hospitality and your partnership across so many files on behalf of your people and on behalf of indigenous peoples in this part of Turtle Island.
00:05:47.420 So he's so performative.
00:05:49.460 And the funny thing there is he was acknowledging Chief Billy Morin, who himself is now a Conservative Party nominee for one of the ridings up in Edmonton.
00:05:58.160 I think it's the new riding in Edmonton that he's going to be the candidate for.
00:06:01.480 But everything he's saying there is heavily implying that he's indigenous, saying, well, you know, here's some Cree I'm speaking, and this means this.
00:06:10.040 And it's like you only usually would say that or you'd assume someone would say that because the whole point is that they have personal expertise.
00:06:15.840 And this person is Cree themselves.
00:06:18.300 They are acting like, you know, for the non-indigenous people in the room, he is your guide to indigenous culture because he is strong eagle man.
00:06:27.360 But this is probably why Justin Trudeau kicked him out of cabinet, is that Randy Boissoneau has now committed crimes against the woke, that you're not supposed to pretend that you're indigenous, especially in this manner.
00:06:42.040 You're not supposed to be pretending to be Cree. 1.00
00:06:45.180 So it wasn't the corruption.
00:06:46.860 It wasn't stealing taxpayer money for fake, like stealing taxpayer money for fake contract fulfillment.
00:06:53.840 It wasn't the lying.
00:06:56.360 It wasn't the connection to the person with the cocaine.
00:06:59.140 It was he did this.
00:07:01.920 He was too he wasn't woke enough.
00:07:04.240 He committed crimes against the woke. 0.99
00:07:06.860 And I have to I have to actually just highlight another tweet here from somebody I know who I think that this sums it up quite well, the media coverage of this.
00:07:15.840 And this was actually before.
00:07:19.640 The he was actually kicked out of caucus.
00:07:22.280 And let's or kicked out of cabinet.
00:07:25.220 Let's be clear.
00:07:26.340 There was a lot of time to cover this story, especially after that tape broke overnight.
00:07:31.520 It's an easy rip and read story.
00:07:33.640 You take the tape down.
00:07:34.800 You like you of him saying that he's strong eagle man.
00:07:38.060 And the CBC and other legacy media outlets could easily do 20 minutes on how that shows that that Randy's lying.
00:07:45.800 He doesn't doesn't just misspeak.
00:07:47.180 He obviously is trying to portray himself as indigenous like Elizabeth Warren down in the U.S.
00:07:52.400 But Brandon Maz here says, I've been tuning into CBC for two hours this morning.
00:07:58.680 So far, zero minutes spent on fraudster Randy Boissoneau.
00:08:03.080 This is the third time they are talking about Matt Gaetz as U.S.
00:08:06.260 Attorney General and smearing him defund the CBC.
00:08:09.200 And I think that's a great point to make.
00:08:12.280 Where was the coverage?
00:08:13.920 Like, where was the coverage of this big blockbuster scandal?
00:08:18.140 If a conservative even has a hair at a place on their heads, the CBC and other legacy media outlets will have panels on just to talk about that person.
00:08:28.040 Well, are they going to get kicked out of caucus by pure poly of, oh, they said something pro-life. 0.96
00:08:32.460 Maybe we should hang them. 0.95
00:08:33.480 And Randy Boissoneau is absolutely tripping all over scandals. 0.97
00:08:39.000 And whenever the media covered it, it would be like covering the conservatives are going after Randy Boissoneau.
00:08:45.460 They are alleging that he's corrupt.
00:08:47.400 And they don't cover it in a very direct, sharp, cutting manner that you would assume would be appropriate at this time.
00:08:55.400 It's always soft and weak.
00:08:57.760 And so the one thing I do want to see if I can pull up here is the, can I find the Randy Donut video right now?
00:09:08.300 I didn't prepare this ahead of time, but it's really funny.
00:09:11.940 Yes, we have to, I can't play this because of the copyright music, which you might have heard right there for a second.
00:09:21.740 But we need to, we need to end Randy's career right here as a cabinet minister with this hilarious video of him eating a donut because he was trying to get back at like MP Rude or whatever for pointing out that the paper lids that Tim Hortons was giving people were awful.
00:09:37.820 And so he made this like crazy video where he has like pop music playing while he like sensually eats a donut and sips coffee, which was like really ironic.
00:09:46.920 And also notice that he's wearing an indigenous bead necklace right there as well.
00:09:51.620 You know, not trying to imply that he might be an indigenous gentleman.
00:09:56.700 He's just so cringy.
00:09:57.980 He's just so cringy.
00:09:58.840 And might I point out that even in this video, when he was trying to mock conservative MP for taking issue with paper lids that Tim Hortons was giving out in certain parts of the country that he himself could not get, he was not using a paper lid, despite how fantastic they supposedly are.
00:10:13.860 Anyways, so that should be it for me today, guys.
00:10:18.680 It's good that the ballot of Randy Boissoneau is basically over at this point.
00:10:24.000 He was a funny person to talk about for a while, but we have other funny liberal MPs to talk about.
00:10:30.860 So if you guys want to support the show, make sure you like this video, subscribe to the channel.
00:10:34.880 And if you want to support the legal fund that we're running, make sure to donate to the Give, Send, Go legal fundraiser in the description of the video below, as well as linked at the top of the comments.
00:10:44.580 And if you want my recommendations for leadership or nomination races, provincial and federal around the country, sign up about a website also linked in the description and pinned at the top of the comments, wyattclaypool.com.
00:10:57.480 And if you sign up to my contact list there, once I have enough people on that list, I can start kind of recommending leadership candidates in places like Manitoba and New Brunswick coming up.
00:11:07.180 Or if there's, you know, hotly contested nominations, I can kind of wade in on which candidates I like, who's the most conservative, who's the most competent, and kind of say how I'd be voting if I happen to be in that particular jurisdiction.
00:11:19.960 Or if, you know, obviously, if there's nominations going on where I live, I will also be wading into my local area as well.
00:11:27.360 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys. Have a good one.
