Pro-parental rights activists in Alberta are trying to get all of their students out of class to protest new legislation that protects parental rights for minors under a certain age. It's an attempt to smear conservative policies as "anti-Canadian" and "transphobic" but it's an abysmal failure.
00:00:00.000Remember the multiple massive protests that occurred all across Canada last year in favor of parental rights?
00:00:06.120It almost didn't matter what city you were in, if a protest was organized, thousands of people showed up in order to stand up for parental rights,
00:00:13.420despite the fact that the legacy media and left-wing activist groups were trying to smear all the participants as somehow being fringe, radical, or even bigoted.
00:00:23.000It proved the strength of the parental rights movement, that people were willing to wade through all the slings and arrows in order to stand up for something that they believed in.
00:00:31.500And now that Alberta Premier Daniel Smith is proposing new legislation to protect parental rights,
00:00:36.780as well as ban certain medical interventions for minors underneath a certain age,
00:00:41.440it's now the left's turn to prove that there are people out there who support their agenda through protest.
00:00:46.860And so far, it's been an abysmal failure for them.
00:00:49.880Yes, they tried to mount some moderately big protests in places like Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton,
00:00:55.580but these were pretty triflingly small.
00:00:58.300A few hundred people show up to downtown Calgary, and this is with unions, different activist groups,
00:01:03.700agitating to get as many people there as possible.
00:02:07.800Also note that I'm blocking out the face of the students, even though activists who are supposedly fighting for the kids' safety didn't bother.
00:03:41.220You know, I'm not sure if he's a journalist, but that was very good journalism that he did,
00:03:45.460despite not maybe even being a journalist himself.
00:03:47.960It demonstrates there's not a lot of good people in the legacy media,
00:03:51.140considering that they made it out that this was a big strike against Daniel Smith.
00:03:56.420And you could say, well, 40 students showing up is pretty good because most students are pretty apathetic about issues.
00:04:01.700I guarantee there are teachers, there are activist groups who were trying to get as many students out as humanly possible.
00:04:09.300If you can get only 15 students out, 40 students, even if it was 80 students, that's pathetic.
00:04:14.360There were pro-parental rights student walkouts that happened in different cities in Canada,
00:04:19.340and you would get hundreds of students out.
00:04:21.420You'd almost get the entire classroom to clear to come out in support of not having certain gender theory type topics being taught in the classroom.
00:04:30.240What went on here in these schools is it really demonstrated, at least in my mind,
00:04:34.980that the younger generation is not nearly as woke and left wing as the left would like to think.
00:04:40.040It actually is, in my mind, that the younger generation is becoming more socially conservative
00:04:45.960because when they grow up with ridiculous woke curriculums in the classroom,
00:04:50.520some of them will embrace it and become radicals.
00:04:53.000More of them will just become so sick of it that they become apathetic to politics or become conservatives.
00:04:58.440I actually think that we're about to hit a very young, new conservative generation
00:05:02.400and that we will be able to capitalize on that to push back against woke policies
00:05:06.800that these students will demand for more conservative professors.
00:05:10.880Postsecondary, they will demand that their parents step up
00:05:14.700and actually push back on this crap in the classroom because it is garbage.
00:05:18.760We're not teaching kids good things in school anymore,
00:05:21.080and kids are not going to be led around by the nose by activists saying that you're being attacked,
00:05:26.080you're a vulnerable kid, and you're being discriminated against.
00:05:29.480I guarantee there's a lot of kids who would have fit inside the categories
00:05:32.680that these activist groups were supposedly standing up for who didn't bother showing up
