Summary

In this episode, I talk about how ridiculous it is to say that there are no such things as "parental rights" in Canada, and why it's a ridiculous idea. I also talk about why you should not be allowed to give your kid Hormones at a certain age, and how it's not a parent's responsibility to allow their kid to do drugs.

00:00:00.000 It's been a lot of fun to watch how pants on head crazy many liberal and NDP MPs have been willing
00:00:05.940 to be in order to oppose parental rights legislation being passed all over Canada right now.
00:00:11.300 The perfect example of this is NDP MP Randall Garrison, who I didn't even know was an MP,
00:00:17.800 probably proves that Jagmeet Singh keeps him locked in his office all day, most of the time,
00:00:22.080 because he came out and said something skull crushingly stupid, which was that parental
00:00:26.840 rights don't even exist. Only parental responsibility exists. Children's rights exist,
00:00:32.120 but not parental rights. Just watch this clip. Thanks for Rebel News for clipping it. I'm kind
00:00:36.340 of lazy to get my own clips. Do you view this as a parental rights issue at all? Well, I'd like to
00:00:40.980 say, first of all, there's no such thing as parental rights in Canada. There are parental responsibilities.
00:00:44.800 And in Canadian family law, the primary responsibility of parents is to support and
00:00:48.440 affirm their kids. Children have rights in Canada, and these kind of policies restrict the rights
00:00:53.660 that children have in Canada. So this is absolutely insane for multiple reasons,
00:00:59.440 which I will now break down. So parents don't have rights, but children do. That obviously doesn't
00:01:06.620 make sense because he's, I guess, a saying that, well, children have human rights, but the whole
00:01:10.960 parental role does not have rights in and of itself. Yes, it does. You have the right to raise your
00:01:18.060 child to be a happy, healthy, and responsible adult. Obviously, you don't have the right to
00:01:23.280 raise your child to be a criminal or raise your child to do drugs or, you know, put your child's
00:01:28.780 like health at safety, which is why premiers like Daniel Smith are like trying to ban things like
00:01:33.580 puberty blockers for minors underneath a certain age. But those are absolutely parental rights.
00:01:39.120 Other adults do not get to raise your kids. The school system does not get to raise your kids,
00:01:42.600 make major decisions for them. The government doesn't get to do that unless you are violating
00:01:48.200 your child's rights. And yes, children do have rights. They have the rights that every other
00:01:51.800 Canadian has to not be, you know, physically harmed, free speech, all this other stuff.
00:01:57.260 Parents get to mold and shape the way that their kid grows up because obviously they are the adult
00:02:02.280 who must consent for certain things for their child. Doesn't mean a parent can consent for their
00:02:07.260 12-year-old to take puberty blockers because that's something that their child cannot consent to
00:02:12.160 until they're an adult. You don't get to consent for your children to be smoking cigarettes. That's
00:02:17.100 obviously ridiculous. Anyways, another point here is the way he even frames the idea that parents
00:02:22.460 don't have rights, they have responsibilities. And in my mind, that's basically him saying
00:02:26.760 your children belong to the state because what he's saying is that you have responsibilities as if
00:02:32.240 you're just a state employee. You don't have the right to make decisions. You just have the right to
00:02:37.280 carry out a certain number of functions. And as soon as the state deems that you're not doing those
00:02:41.580 functions, they get to step in and start dictating what your child can and cannot do and protect
00:02:47.480 them from you. Obviously, he's being super vague because the left does not like to be hard and fast
00:02:52.320 with what rules and standards they're enforcing because their rules and standards constantly change
00:02:56.980 because their main motivation is just simply power. And the third thing I just wanted to bring up here
00:03:02.980 was the idea that it's a parent's responsibility, their only responsibility is to support
00:03:07.580 and affirm their child. No, it is not. It is not your responsibility to support and affirm your child
00:03:13.780 to doing stupid things. It is your responsibility to get them due to their homework, make sure that
00:03:18.600 they're eating healthy, make sure that they have good values and all this stuff. Do not harm your
00:03:22.500 child. Do not give your child hormone blockers when they're 12 years old or different hormones and
00:03:27.620 whatnot. That's all harming your kid. That would be violating their rights to do. But it's not a parent's
00:03:33.480 responsibility just to be their kid's best friend and give them high fives regardless of what the
00:03:37.300 kid does. Parents have a different role than the child does, not the child's best friend. It is the
00:03:42.400 child's parent. It is the parent's responsibility to help children make responsible choices. Responsible
00:03:49.320 choices. So all those, frankly, mouth breathers out there who say, well, all these new parental rights
00:03:55.320 legislations coming down across the country, they're actually restricting parents from having the
00:04:01.440 like the decision-making power to give their kids puberty blockers. No, that's not a responsible
00:04:07.740 decision. As an adult, you don't get to make irresponsible decisions for the child. You get to
00:04:13.480 make responsible decisions. You get to choose what sport or what instrument to enroll them into, you
00:04:19.680 know, playing or practicing. You don't get to say that you're allowed to, you know, again, smoke
00:04:24.260 cigarettes, use drugs or any of that stuff. Child Protective Services would get called very
00:04:28.920 quickly. But don't tell this to Randall Garrison. He'd freak out at the entire concept of even having
00:04:35.200 to make responsible choices because you're supposed to be there to tell your little Billy that he's
00:04:40.260 doing a great job no matter what he does, that his gender confusion is fantastic and that we should
00:04:45.700 put him on some sort of medical intervention system or whatever. Absolutely insane. Parental rights
00:04:51.360 absolutely do exist. And people like Randall Garrison, and I'm not trying to be hyperbolic,
00:04:55.640 he is a dangerous person. Never let this man have any power over making decisions on what
00:05:01.600 parents can and cannot do. We will live in a far darker country. Anyways, that should be it for me
00:05:07.260 today. I just want to quickly plug the fact that I, Wyatt Claypool, am running for the Calgary Signal
00:05:12.660 Hill Conservative Party nomination. If you live in the west side of Calgary, check if you live in this
00:05:17.340 riding. These are what the new boundaries will look like after April. Greenbrow and Bowness are being
00:05:21.660 cut out, but Lincoln Park, the Mount Royal area are being added in. If you're in those areas,
00:05:26.400 if you're in the riding boundaries, buy a membership, check out my website, wyattclaypool.com.
00:05:31.240 I also have a legal fundraiser going for this lawsuit that myself and the National Telegraph are
00:05:36.040 defending ourselves from just some big billionaire developer suing us for defamation. It's a slap
00:05:41.600 suit. He's just trying to, trying to like rip money away from us through legal bills. We'll win this
00:05:46.820 case. We'll likely get all of our money back, but giving any, like giving any amount of money to us,
00:05:51.360 five bucks, 10 bucks, anything more than that, it helps really like lighten the burden on us. I've
00:05:56.240 already paid $25,000 defending myself because Alberta does not have anti-slap law. So I've been
00:06:01.920 having to fight this for years longer than I should have. But anyways, other than that, I'll see you guys
00:06:07.780 in my future video and tell me any other video topics you'd like me to talk on in the description
00:06:14.740 below or the comment section below, like, share, subscribe, all those good things. See you guys
