00:00:00.000 Hi, Joel here. NXR Studios is about to launch our most important book of the year. It's titled White Genocide, because it's not just demographic change that the West is undergoing. No, instead, there is an active and malicious war against the Anglo-Saxon people.
00:00:17.080 And so, in our book, White Genocide, we explain first and foremost why race is real,
00:00:23.420 both from a biological and a spiritual standpoint, rooted in the pages of Scripture, not Darwin.
00:00:29.960 Then we outline the promises to the European descendants of Japheth found in Genesis chapter 10.
00:00:36.560 Then we meticulously chronicle and expose how birth control, abortion, globalism, 0.97
00:00:42.260 and mass immigration have all coalesced into an intentional threat to turn the very civilization
00:00:49.040 that once ruled the world in a thousand years of Christendom into an extreme persecuted minority. 0.73

00:01:30.500 Today on American Glory, I'm covering what is a woman according to scripture, but more than that,
00:01:36.060 what makes a woman glorious, and what are the four offices she is called to fill.
00:01:42.080 All that and more coming up right now. 1.00
00:01:57.440 Welcome to American Glory. This is season three on The American Family. I'm your host,
00:02:02.340 Dale Partridge. This is episode four of season three titled, What is a Woman According to
00:02:07.900 Scripture? Now, this season, I'm covering the history of the American family from multiple
00:02:13.560 different directions. Last week, I spoke about the domestic roots of feminism before that
00:02:18.360 patriarchy. Next week, I'm going to be hitting interracial marriage, then birth control, 0.88
00:02:22.440 and a few other topics. Now, every few episodes, I want to just remind my YouTube viewers,
00:02:27.380 leave a comment. Again, first, it helps show consensus to the normies who are still
00:02:32.680 uncomfortable with all of these topics. Second, it actually drives reach. It helps the algorithm
00:02:37.280 when YouTube sees lots of positive comments. Essentially, they continue to push us out there
00:02:42.460 further. And so if you didn't know, American Glory is also a podcast. If you want to listen
00:02:49.100 to it, you could just search for American Glory on Google. You'll find, you know, you can listen
00:02:54.620 to the show on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts, wherever you listen to podcasts.
00:02:59.460 If you're already listening to the podcast and you want to watch the video, it comes with a
00:03:04.840 bunch of helpful slides. I try to make them kind of a documentary style, and you can watch that
00:03:10.560 either at the NXR YouTube channel or at my personal YouTube channel at Dale Partridge TV.
00:03:16.300 Now, just a reminder, my newest book is coming out soon. It's 19 Reasons to Repeal the 19th
00:03:22.900 Amendment, which is basically an argument, a biblical, a theological, a sociological argument
00:03:28.540 against feminism and female political power. And it's available for pre-order right now at
00:03:34.540 newchristianright.com. So on that note, let's begin.
00:03:40.280 Activity is a natural outgrowth of identity. However, in our current generation, feminine 0.96
00:03:46.100 identity has been so warped and misrepresented that a woman's activity is often in conflict
00:03:51.880 with her identity. And this is important because in scripture, identity is directly connected to
00:03:58.320 glory. Now, glory is one of those words that needs to be defined because according to scripture,
00:04:05.720 we are to be glorious. But how can a woman be glorious if she doesn't know what glory is? 1.00
00:04:13.920 Now, from my study, I have come up with a personal working definition as I've done 1.00
00:04:18.080 a lot of work around this particular topic. Now, glory is the rightful radiant substance
00:04:24.820 of a particular object. And that is the correct and true expression of, or maybe a manifestation
00:04:33.660 of a particular thing or a created thing is glory. And so a man has a glory. A woman has a glory.
00:04:41.600 A lion has a glory. A tree has a glory. But what makes these objects glorious
00:04:46.960 is when they operate according to how they were designed.
00:04:51.540 In other words, glory is when they model
00:04:54.020 their creational intent. 1.00
00:04:56.700 And so a man who acts like a woman is not glorious. 0.99
00:05:00.740 A mother who acts like a father is not glorious. 1.00
00:05:03.580 A child who rules the home is not glorious. 1.00
00:05:06.960 A tree that has maybe fallen down
00:05:09.680 and acts as a bridge over a river,
00:05:12.000 it might be pretty, but it's not glorious.
00:05:14.260 An object can only be glorious if it is operating according to God's will for that object.
00:05:22.560 So to be glorious is essentially to be what God designed you to be.
00:05:28.260 This is why we talk about when a person dies, he's now been glorified.
00:05:32.740 He is operating exactly, perfectly how he ought to be without sin.
00:05:38.280 We are entering into glory.
00:05:40.220 We are entering into perfection, God's will, right?
00:05:42.800 Now, I'm not saying that this is some sort of subjective license of glory where you get to
00:05:51.200 determine based on your own emotional feelings what the identity of particular things are.
00:05:56.120 No, scripture tells us what a man is and how a man ought to operate. It tells us what a woman is 0.62
00:06:03.300 and how she ought to operate. It tells us the same for children and for servants and for animals and 0.96
00:06:08.880 for food and for nature and art. So glory radiates from that which rightly represents
00:06:16.000 God's will for their being. And this is why Proverbs 20, 29 says, quote, the glory of young
00:06:23.180 men is their strength, end quote. So strength, physical strength, demonstrates God's intention
00:06:30.220 for man's being. Okay, strength upholds his manness. And it's glorious for a young man to be
00:06:37.940 strong because it radiates their creational intent. And the inverse is also true. It's 0.99
00:06:44.680 inglorious for young men to be weak, both physically and I would say even in spirit or
00:06:50.900 emotion. Now, 1 Corinthians 11, 15 says, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory. Now, 0.70
00:06:59.500 long hair expresses God's creational intent for femininity. It magnifies her beauty. In the same 1.00
00:07:10.660 way that physical strength or muscles is a physical distinction that upholds manness,
00:07:16.000 long hair, according to scripture, is a physical distinction that upholds woman-ness. In fact,
00:07:22.560 during my research for my book, A Cover for Glory, there was a study performed by, I can't
00:07:29.760 remember, some hair company, maybe it's like Pantene, that showed that men notice a woman's
00:07:35.500 hair before they notice their chest or their butt. And that's actually been true and known for 0.80
00:07:42.200 some time. It's why magazines highlight, you know, you might see like a woman on the cover of a
00:07:47.500 magazine and they have like a fan blowing her hair is everywhere. It's why the front of ships 0.96
00:07:54.420 had mermaids that didn't have butch cuts, right? They had mermaids or women, princesses or whatever 0.99
00:08:01.160 it might be at the very front of a ship, beautiful, glorious, long hair. It's why historic Disney
00:08:06.940 princesses had beautiful, long hair. It's a central physical distinguishing characteristic 0.98
00:08:13.300 of women, and it's God's intention for femininity. It's also why I would argue that as women age, 0.99
00:08:22.200 their hair generally is shorter, and because it's demonstrating the lack of femininity, 0.74
00:08:29.620 maybe that's not the right word, but it is they're losing the beauty, right? We know 0.84
00:08:35.060 beauty fades, and I forgot the proverb that says that, but beauty fades, but a woman who loves the
00:08:42.280 Lord is to be pursued, right? So we know that that part of life, beauty, fades, and that's because
00:08:47.900 we live in a sinful world where our bodies fall apart and they begin to fade. But glory is where
00:08:53.380 our being represents God's will. And so pregnant women are glorious. Helpful wives are glorious.
00:09:04.480 Submissive wives are glorious. Now, a woman with a gentle and quiet spirit is glorious.
00:09:10.800 And I would say again, a rebellious, aggressive, loud woman is inglorious. 1.00
00:09:17.300 An assertive woman is inglorious. 1.00
00:09:20.560 They are inglorious because they radiate or communicate 1.00
00:09:23.960 the wrongful expression of God's will for created woman. 1.00
00:09:31.020 And so God designed women to be soft. 1.00
00:09:34.220 And when they live in a way that is contrary, 1.00
00:09:37.240 if they live in like a hard lifestyle, when it's contrary to their design, whether that's, again, 0.53
00:09:43.300 maybe being a police officer or a butch, you know, blue-haired activist or a nagging wife, 0.58
00:09:49.980 what it does is it misrepresents God's will for woman to the onlooking world. It is inglorious. 0.96
00:09:57.400 Now, Jesus was perfectly glorious. Hebrews 1.3 says of Jesus, quote,
00:10:02.760 he is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, end quote.
00:10:09.020 And so Jesus is glorious because his being perfectly represents God's will as Messiah
00:10:16.280 on earth. And so to be a glorious woman, you must know what is God's will for women, right? To be a
00:10:26.580 glorious helper, you must know what God's will is for being a help meet. To be a glorious wife,
00:10:33.800 you must know what God's will is for wives. To be a glorious mother or daughter or sister or friend,
00:10:40.100 you must know God's will for each of those feminine roles. And this brings us back to
00:10:46.700 identity and back to the topic of this season, which is the American family. So we have a
00:10:53.600 feminine identity crisis in America. And that's surely seen in the fact that we have documentaries 0.99
00:10:59.800 by Matt Walsh literally titled, What is a Woman? But it also is in our own homes. Even Christian
00:11:06.740 women have become comfortable with what historic women found repulsive. I mean, just let me give 0.98
00:11:13.220 you an example. A pagan liberal woman from say like 1920 would call a woman in a bikini a gross 1.00
00:11:21.700 expression of whoredom and immodesty. She would mock that woman in the streets. But today we have 1.00
00:11:29.800 Christian women who spend hours on the internet defending their right or other women's right to 1.00
00:11:35.940 wear bikinis in public. Okay. So that's how much the drift has happened. You live in a circus. 1.00
00:11:42.960 We all live in a circus. And when you talk about scripture or biblical standards,
00:11:48.360 it seems incredibly strange. Okay. What is common is not what is normal. The Bible tells us what is
00:11:55.840 normal. And so when you come in and you bring normal ideas to a very common world, it's offensive.
00:12:03.440 They hate it. They hate the light. They love the dark and they will continue to, and even,
00:12:08.680 and not just like, this is not just like non-believers. This is Christians. Christians 0.85
00:12:13.320 hate it. They will hate you for saying normal things that every Christian believed for thousands 1.00
00:12:17.960 of years. This episode is brought to you by Greska's Carbon 60. See, sponsors like this are 0.93
00:12:23.860 the only reason that we can actually say what we say without having to ask permission. So humor me
00:12:29.780 and give me just one minute. Carbon 60 is a molecule made up of 60 carbon atoms. Chronic
00:12:36.360 inflammation is what sits underneath almost everything that slows a man down. Sore muscles,
00:12:42.620 brain fog, low energy, and most chronic diseases. And inflammation starts upstream with oxidative
00:12:50.000 stress. That's exactly where C60 works. It supports your body's natural defenses against
00:12:56.940 that stress. Faster recovery, energy that holds all day, sharper focus. It's the ultimate
00:13:03.980 anti-inflammatory. So go to C60.com. That's the letter C60.com and use code NXR for 20%

00:13:22.280 food and thought, hey, you know what beef needs? More corn syrup, soy, preservatives, 0.92
00:13:27.520 and ingredients that no one can actually pronounce. It's almost impressive. If you'd
00:13:33.180 rather eat something that your great-grandfather would actually recognize as food, then check out
00:13:38.340 Paleo Valley's 100% grass-fed beef sticks. They're made from 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef
00:13:47.020 packed with protein, and they're the kind of snack that you can keep in your truck, your office,

00:14:06.320 That's Paleo Valley because food should have ingredients, not a rap sheet.
00:14:12.300 So what I'm saying is that what earlier generations, Christian and pagan alike,
00:14:18.460 recognized instinctively as shameful, immodest, unfeminine, has now been normalized to the point 0.70
00:14:25.040 that even Christian women defend it as personal freedom, and that is the identity crisis. We don't
00:14:32.020 ask, does this reflect God's design for womanhood according to scripture? We ask, why should my sex 1.00
00:14:39.700 place any obligation on me at all? Okay, that is basically the question among many women, 1.00
00:14:45.840 and that's the problem. Activity flows from identity, and once womanhood is detached from 1.00
00:14:54.380 any fixed definition, nature, purpose, duty, motherhood, modesty, when it's detached from
00:15:02.700 all of those standards, then behavior becomes infinitely negotiable. If we no longer know
00:15:11.140 what a woman is for, then we no longer know what conduct properly belongs to women. 0.97
00:15:18.880 And once womanhood is reduced to autonomy, the old boundaries don't merely weaken, they actually 0.93
00:15:28.720 become offensive. And so in this episode, I want to answer the question, what is a woman according
00:15:36.520 to scripture? Because until men and women know the answer to that question, the American family
00:15:43.160 and more directly, the American woman will struggle to be glorious and feminine.
00:15:51.040 And so the four biblical identities of woman are helper, wife, mother, and homemaker.
00:16:00.840 And so we're going to talk about each one of these. So let's first talk about helper.
00:16:05.380 In Genesis 2.18, it says,
00:16:08.500 then the Lord God said, it is not good that man should be alone. I will make a helper fit for him.
00:16:15.700 End quote. Now, woman was created to be a dependent being. In fact, her existence is 1.00
00:16:22.220 dependent upon the pre-existence of man. So without man, she would not have been created.
00:16:29.400 In fact, unlike Adam, whose reason for living was to serve God, Eve's reason for living was to serve
00:16:36.220 Adam or to serve man. And that is woman's origin, according to scripture, was born from a need in
00:16:44.320 Adam, not God. Now this doesn't mean that she doesn't serve God. She does. But her service to
00:16:51.340 God is through fulfilling her creational intent or her created reason, which is helping man,
00:16:59.900 particularly her husband. Now you might be thinking like, okay, that's kind of wild.
00:17:06.140 What biblical support do you have for such a claim beyond that Genesis passage? Well,
00:17:11.260 I would say first Corinthians 11, eight through nine says, quote, for man did not come from woman,
00:17:17.080 but woman from man, neither was man created for woman, but woman for man and quote. Now I'm not
00:17:26.140 saying that if a woman is not married, she has no purpose. She does. Her creational intent to 1.00
00:17:33.120 glorify God through helping man can be channeled through her father or through her brother or
00:17:39.580 through her pastors. And this has been seen throughout all of history, by the way. If she
00:17:44.960 is married, her help is to be most directed or actualized in supporting her husband. 0.86
00:17:55.700 Well, I'll ask this. Who can question this? Who's going to question an all-wise God
00:18:02.520 and disagree with his design and station for a woman? As Paul says, will the clay say to the
00:18:09.720 Potter, why have you made me like this? No. Women have to recognize that being a dependent
00:18:16.340 helper is good. It's a glorious thing. That is your identity, your created purpose. 1.00
00:18:24.700 You don't need to feel oppressed or as a victim, what the feminist worldview has told you, 0.99
00:18:30.860 because being a helper is what you're made for. And a woman was made physically, 1.00
00:18:37.480 emotionally, and spiritually capable to help men. Again, primarily one man, her husband, 0.79
00:18:45.700 but this is a good thing and something every woman should fully embrace. I have to remind couples,
00:18:52.420 men do not need to feel like they're misogynistic or oppressing if they're leading their home,
00:18:59.020 because that is how God designed men to be. And women don't need to feel oppressed or like victims
00:19:05.440 in submission because that is God's design for women. So what we have, we live in a Marxist
00:19:12.400 society that has totally bastardized and perverted and critiqued the biblical model for men and
00:19:20.840 women. And now we look at what God says is normal and we hate it. But the truth is it's actually
00:19:26.660 good. It's orderful and it's helpful. I don't even know if that's a word, orderful. That's a
00:19:31.940 good one though. I like it. So there is nothing more frustrating than a created being operating
00:19:40.420 out of step with its nature or with its purpose or with its intent. So like a table operating as
00:19:48.040 a shoe or a tree operating as like an ocean or a dog acting like a bird are all just absurd as a 0.88
00:19:59.060 helper acting like a leader or a woman acting like a man or a soldier. Okay. So more than that,
00:20:07.420 what you have to understand is that when a woman fails to fulfill her purpose, 0.74
00:20:10.720 she frustrates the need of man in fulfilling his purpose. And that is the anthem of our day.
00:20:17.900 A helper disconnected from the object that is designed to help is basically like a tool without
00:20:23.360 a purpose. And so God made women as like the bow to a violin, right? Or the melody to a song. 0.97
00:20:33.600 Okay. Together, when women and men work together as they were designed to, they create a divine
00:20:40.280 symphony of glory and goodness. And so to be a helper is not a condescension. In fact, I would
00:20:50.180 argue God created man in his own image to be his helper. And he created woman to be man's helper. 0.54
00:21:01.760 We know also God sent the Holy Spirit as a helper. And though they are equal in their value in the
00:21:10.880 Godhead, they are not lesser, though the helper is called the helper. And so different roles and
00:21:17.900 purpose in the Godhead, but you should not look at the term helper as being morally inferior.
00:21:26.740 Now, in Genesis 2, 7, it says, and the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden
00:21:34.320 to tend and keep it, end quote. And in a sense, man providentially became God's helper,
00:21:42.900 carrying out his will, tending the garden, and woman comes to be a helper carrying out
00:21:50.460 man's will. And this is important because 1 Corinthians 11, 3 says, quote, but I want you
00:21:56.180 to understand that the head of every man is Christ. The head of a wife is her husband, 0.88
00:22:02.200 or you could, some translations will say the head of a woman is man, and the head of Christ 0.92
00:22:07.500 is God. And so this just gives you a structure where you have at the top, you have God, you have
00:22:13.280 Christ, you have man, you have woman, and then I would argue that you have children there as well.
00:22:19.300 So in the same way that Christ says to the father, not my will, but your will be done.
00:22:27.480 Man says to Christ, not my will, but your will be done. And woman says to her husband, not my will,
00:22:35.400 but your will be done. And when everyone is in submission, when Christ is operating in his
00:22:42.460 earthly ministry and submission to the Father and his followers are in submission to Christ and
00:22:47.420 their wives are in submission to their husbands, when everyone is in that submission, everyone is
00:22:53.640 helping to fulfill God's will and is glorious. So help is not a curse, but it's a divine assignment
00:23:02.360 within a divine station for women. Now, again, feminism has trained women to despise 1.00
00:23:08.600 God's design for womanhood. But when a woman rejects that primary identity of being a 1.00
00:23:16.380 biblically feminine female, it distorts every other station that flows from it. 0.52
00:23:23.280 And so it is the foundational calling of a woman to be a helper. Then it comes to wifehood and 1.00
00:23:30.100 then motherhood and homemaking. And these are not separate identities so much as I would say
00:23:35.120 distinct expressions of that same vocation as being a helper. And so a wife helps her husband,
00:23:43.340 a mother helps form and nurture his children, a homemaker helps bring order to sustain his
00:23:52.400 household. And so now let me just stop for a moment here because I want you to notice the
00:23:56.780 specific possessive pronouns that I just used, right? So you are his wife. You are having his
00:24:05.700 children. You are keeping his house. And this distinction is actually really important for 0.99
00:24:11.500 our generation, which has basically like systematically constructed a social framework
00:24:15.680 entirely contrary to God's design. Now, you may have heard the historical terms, you know,
00:24:21.580 for a man to take a wife, or a man might say, to make you my wife. Now, these phrases originate
00:24:27.440 directly from the biblical and covenantal understanding of marriage, where a man leaves
00:24:32.140 his father and mother to actively establish, to take, to lead a new wife under a new household
00:24:39.880 in God. Now, just think about the family for a minute with me. In today's secular family courts,
00:24:48.860 children are overwhelmingly perceived to be the primary possession of the woman.
00:24:56.280 However, according to scripture, children are ultimately designated as the man's line and the
00:25:02.560 man's possessions. Carrying his name, we know that, and the covenantal inheritance into the
00:25:09.200 next generation. Now, we see this explicitly throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament.
00:25:13.560 For example, in Genesis 46, the genealogies that we all read of Israel, they're tracked
00:25:19.040 explicitly through the patriarchal heads that are listing the sons and daughters as belonging to
00:25:24.640 the fathers. Furthermore, when God covenants with Abraham in Genesis chapter 17, he establishes the
00:25:34.240 covenant through Abraham and his seed, placing the spiritual and the structural burden of the
00:25:41.520 children squarely upon the father's shoulders. Now, again, even children are given as a reward.
00:25:48.280 It's a scripture in Psalm 127, right? It says, children are a heritage from the Lord,
00:25:55.220 like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Now, what that's doing
00:26:01.660 there is it's depicting the father as the warrior responsible for the arrows. And in the New
00:26:10.060 Testament, we actually see the patriarchal genealogy of Jesus is also affirmed. And Paul
00:26:15.180 tells the fathers in Ephesians 6, 4, fathers, raise your children in the nurture and admonition
00:26:21.540 of the Lord. We also see this in English common law. We see this throughout Christendom and
00:26:26.160 throughout church history. This has been the pattern. Now, we also see patriarchal authority
00:26:31.560 in things like the prodigal son and some of the parables that Jesus is talking about. So
00:26:35.700 So children, historically, biblically, are the possession of the man. They follow his line. 0.88
00:26:45.400 That is just what the Bible says. Now, it's offensive to our modern era and especially
00:26:49.100 to our modern court system. Now, the home also belongs to him. Now, scripturally, the husband
00:26:55.280 is the head of the house, mirroring the model at Christ, who is head of the church.
00:27:02.180 And he is the provider and the protector and the ultimate spiritual authority under God.
00:27:05.700 Now, this is foundational truth because it doesn't mean that these blessings are not fully
00:27:12.220 and beautifully shared with the wife. In fact, they are, right? Christ shares all things,
00:27:19.540 his kingdom, his glory, his inheritance, all of those things are shared perfectly with his bride,
00:27:26.540 the church. And so Christian men are commanded to model that exact lavish generosity and
00:27:34.000 sacrificial love to their own wives. But the structural possessor, the foundational anchor
00:27:40.400 of accountability is the man. Just as the church finds her security and her identity and her
00:27:46.280 provision by belonging to Christ, she is a possession of Christ. A godly household
00:27:52.360 flourishes when it aligns with that kind of divine order. And so that was a little bit of
00:27:58.580 a tangent, but I want to look now at some of these feminine stations for a moment. So we talked about 0.58
00:28:03.900 helper. I want to talk about the wife, the mother. Actually, I'll think I'll talk about mother and
00:28:11.180 then wife, and then we'll talk about homemaker. And so in Genesis 1, 28, it says, and God said
00:28:19.040 to them, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the
00:28:26.240 fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living creature that moves on the
00:28:31.140 earth, end quote. Now, this command was given both to man and to woman, and the responsibility of its
00:28:40.240 accomplishment rests on man. And we know that because later in Genesis chapter 9, God reiterates 0.74
00:28:46.340 that same dominion mandate to Noah and his sons without the presence of their wives.
00:28:52.960 And ultimately, the responsibility of this mandate, this dominion mandate, actually rests upon the
00:29:00.160 second Adam, Christ. So the first Adam we know failed at being fruitful and multiplying. What
00:29:05.220 did he do? He was fruitful and multiplied death. Adam, or sorry, Christ, who is the second Adam,
00:29:12.800 according to Romans chapter five, is, you know, by the power of the gospel is now being fruitful
00:29:19.820 and multiplying and filling the earth with his bride. And he is filling the earth with born again
00:29:25.440 children of God. And so again, this is kind of an eschatological and times reality is that
00:29:31.220 Jesus and his bride is fulfilling what the first Adam and his bride failed to do. And we can trust
00:29:37.520 that he will do and accomplish that. And we will see a victorious gospel, a victorious church
00:29:43.740 over the generations. But I digress. Now for a man to be glorious and accomplish what he was made
00:29:52.260 for. He must be fruitful and multiply. So Adam cannot do this without Eve. He can't do this
00:30:00.700 without a helper fit for him, truly relationally, physically, biologically, sexually. And so she is
00:30:10.940 what makes him multiply. And she becomes his fruitful vine, as the scriptures often call women.
00:30:18.600 and through reproduction, she helps man be glorious in accomplishing his purpose of having
00:30:26.800 dominion over the earth. And so it is through this form of, well, let me back up. When I talk
00:30:33.240 about Jesus or when I talk about his role of having dominion over the earth, remember that
00:30:39.280 God created Adam to be a ruler like him. He's basically a vice regent. He's a vice ruler
00:30:45.080 ruling in his stead according to his will. And so that's what God made man to do. And we should be
00:30:52.000 fruitful and multiplying and filling the earth with people who love God.
00:30:56.320 And that's glorious for a man. So it's through that form of helping, childbirth, that God brought
00:31:03.360 forth all of his will, right? The patriarchs, the prophets, the kings, and eventually, obviously,
00:31:09.400 the Messiah. And so it's also the way that God has brought forth the apostles, the early church
00:31:17.600 fathers, Constantine, the crusaders, the reformers, the great preachers, Thomas Watson, Spurgeon,
00:31:23.940 Martin Lloyd-Jones, right? So Christian women helping their husbands multiply is also helping
00:31:31.560 Christ fulfill the great commission in some degree, right? They're interconnected. They overlap in some
00:31:38.080 degree, you are fulfilling God's will by doing that. And it's why 1 Corinthians 11, 12 says,
00:31:44.300 for as man, or sorry, for as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman,
00:31:52.840 but all things are from God. So godly childbearing is arguably the primary form of help
00:32:00.940 woman offers to man. And it's why barrenness was viewed as a form of great suffering 0.96
00:32:07.360 in scripture and throughout world history. It's a woman unable to provide for her husband
00:32:12.320 what God commands of him to do, which is to multiply. And so now we have like literally 1.00
00:32:19.340 self-inflicted sterilization among women and among men. I mean, just the idea of, you know,
00:32:28.920 I always tell people, getting fixed is actually getting broken. You're breaking your ability to
00:32:34.260 fulfill what God designed for you to have in your vasectomy or whatever you choose to do there. Now,
00:32:40.180 again, I'm not trying to shame you for all of your decisions, but it's something that is certainly
00:32:44.680 out of step with the biblical and historical narrative. Next, wifehood, or I'll even say
00:32:51.320 companionship. Now, this seems probably a little bit out of order, right? Because marriage comes
00:32:57.860 before childbirth, but I'm ordering these according to the degrees of helpfulness in
00:33:03.720 God's economy. And so in the garden, Adam became aware of his aloneness and he carried out the
00:33:13.440 work that God assigned to him. You know, he was told to name the animals and unlike the animals,
00:33:18.940 which were created male and female simultaneously, they had companionship. Adam noticed and he lacked
00:33:25.320 a companion, and he had no helper that was like him. So while Eve was created to be a child bearer,
00:33:33.740 she was also created to be a complementary companion to him. And we know that it's not
00:33:40.280 good for man to be alone, right? So she was inferior in physical size and strength,
00:33:45.880 yet she supplied what he lacked. And Adam had no one like him to share his life with,
00:33:53.480 like the animals. He noticed his aloneness and Eve answered that need. He now had someone with
00:34:01.240 whom to share his joys and his desires and his burdens and labors. And so someone who could
00:34:08.300 essentially strengthen and support man in the work that God had given him. And we have to remember
00:34:14.520 that God himself said, you know, it's not good for man to be alone. It's the first thing that
00:34:20.200 God condemns in the whole Bible is man being alone. And so man was never designed for isolated
00:34:27.780 independence. And I said this a couple episodes ago, he didn't create a friend. He also didn't
00:34:34.460 create, he didn't say to Adam, I'm enough for you. No, he creates him a wife. And so humanity was
00:34:42.920 made for covenantal monogamous relationship. And marriage becomes the central earthly expression
00:34:49.380 of that design. And we see this clearly in the way that the scripture uses Christ in the church,
00:34:54.900 right? So the bridegroom and his bride, they're the great pattern for understanding the union
00:35:00.160 of man and woman. So Eve's physical stature indicated that she was not designed for
00:35:08.540 strenuous physical labor in the same way that Adam was, but rather she should support him in a less
00:35:14.320 rigorous way. And I mentioned that because again, this basic distinction appears to be like
00:35:19.840 overlooked in a generation that we live in where women are striving to blur the lines and physical 0.51
00:35:25.220 differences between themselves and men. So from lady powerlifters to female cops, you know, women 1.00
00:35:31.380 UFC fighters, all of these stand opposed to the glory of a woman. And my point is a woman's body 0.99
00:35:39.580 tells them how she is to help her husband. They are the weaker vessel according to scripture and 0.99
00:35:46.120 should not strive to kind of have this equality in labor. They are supporters. They are helpers.
00:35:54.340 They are administrators. They take raw materials from their husbands and they improve it. They 1.00
00:36:00.920 magnify it. They organize it. They multiply it. They care for it. They utilize it. Let me give
00:36:06.540 you an example. So a man hunts an elk, kills an animal, dresses the animal, hands a piece over to
00:36:14.160 his wife, and the woman glorifies it into a beautiful dinner. A man builds a house, and the
00:36:21.920 woman turns it into a comfortable home. A man produces a paycheck. The woman turns it into 0.92
00:36:28.340 clothing and groceries for the family. A man gives his seed. She turns it into a baby. And so
00:36:36.960 women are enhancers. They are made to help and enhance the work of men. They are fine tuners. 1.00
00:36:45.640 They are beautifiers. And help like that is very helpful. It's very helpful to men.
00:36:53.160 And now I will say help can come in many forms. And I'll give you just an example from our life.
00:36:58.340 as a pastor, Sunday mornings require a pretty deep study for me, prayer for me in the morning.
00:37:05.140 Veronica supports me by taking on basically the complete responsibility of caring for the kids
00:37:10.860 so that I can focus without interruption in the morning. So she takes my raw time and makes it
00:37:17.620 more effective for me. And she often, this is actually one cool thing that I don't ever really
00:37:23.440 tell about my wife, but she often will go to church earlier than me to welcome new guests
00:37:29.880 at our church who I might not be able to meet as I prepare to preach beforehand. So again,
00:37:36.860 she takes my raw availability and she magnifies it. This is like invaluable to our particular
00:37:43.820 situation. And I actually tell young men all the time that the most effective tool on earth
00:37:50.540 to make you a more productive man is a joyful, submissive, helpful wife.
00:37:58.820 Now, so yeah, young man, if you can, that's why the proverb says, he who finds a wife finds a
00:38:04.660 good thing. It's a good thing. It's probably the most effective force multiplier on earth. 0.52
00:38:10.880 Now, what complicates everything is sin. In fact, when we examine God's curse upon the man and the
00:38:20.220 woman, they are directed toward the objects of their work. So in Genesis 3, 17, God declares, 0.74
00:38:26.540 cursed is the ground because of you, speaking to Adam. And to the woman, the objects of her work 0.65
00:38:31.920 are also cursed. I will surely multiply your pain and childbearing. In pain, you should bring forth 1.00
00:38:37.340 children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, and he will rule over you. And so a man's
00:38:45.100 relationship with physical labor and provision becomes difficult. And a woman's relationship
00:38:50.700 with her work, which is bearing children and helping and submitting to her husband, 0.81
00:38:54.600 also become difficult. Again, that's that poetic justice that I talked about in my last episode.
00:39:00.660 Now, this is why Titus 2, we see older women are instructed to teach younger women 0.75
00:39:07.880 to, quote, love their children or to love their husbands and their children. And 0.57
00:39:13.820 it's to instill in them the understanding that through Christ, they can counteract the effects
00:39:22.280 of the curse on woman. And they can work as redeemed helpers. They can submit in all lawful
00:39:30.600 things because they know that submitting to their husbands is a form of submitting to Christ.
00:39:36.300 And let me just talk about submission just for a second, okay? Submission is essential for women. 1.00
00:39:41.080 Um, I mean, submission is for everybody, by the way, everybody submits. Okay. Just get over it. 0.97
00:39:47.920 Okay. Men submit to Christ. Uh, men should submit to their, their spiritual authorities, 0.87
00:39:52.460 their pastors, but submission is everywhere. Everybody has to submit. Um, I've seen the jokes
00:39:58.120 that people are like, women are like, I won't submit to my husband, but I will submit to my 1.00
00:40:00.940 boss who tells me I only have a five minute, you know, break. And then a 15 minute lunch break. 0.97
00:40:04.920 Like, no, submission is just a part of life. And so submission has limits. I do agree. If your
00:40:11.440 husband says, you know, hey, I want you to sleep with this other man or watch porn with me or steal 0.82
00:40:16.960 money, you know, from this, you know, institution, your duty as a helper at that point is to help 0.87
00:40:23.040 him not sin and to follow God rather than him. But if your husband says something like, hey,
00:40:27.780 we're moving to Ohio from Tennessee for a job, you go with joy. And it's not that you can't ask
00:40:35.360 questions or you can't offer your concerns, but when the decision has been made, you go with joy,
00:40:40.100 knowing that being a faithful and glorious woman requires you to be joyfully submissive.
00:40:47.480 Okay. Last category of identity or helping is being a homemaker. So Titus 2.4 instructs women 0.99
00:40:55.680 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may
00:41:05.720 be or may not be blasphemed. Now, nature itself, again, reveals that men and women were designed
00:41:13.320 for entirely different worlds, okay? We know by like really simple observations, like the male 0.57
00:41:19.060 body is built for the outdoors in a way that the female body is not, right? So God gave men 0.99
00:41:24.860 you know, more dense muscle and thick bones and greater strength, different hormones for lifting
00:41:31.180 or for fighting, for conquering, you know, the raw elements of nature. And even a man's, you know,
00:41:35.980 a man's beard serves as a kind of a functional purpose, acting as a natural shield to protect
00:41:42.060 his face from, or also his neck from the brutal wind and the weather during outdoor labor. Now,
00:41:49.400 women, by contrast, were created for an interior world. And a woman's body is uniquely designed 1.00
00:41:58.020 to produce and to nurse delicate babies who cannot survive the exposure to the elements.
00:42:06.740 And so because, just think about this for a second, a nursing infant has to be protected
00:42:10.580 from danger and harsh weather. So logic dictates that the mother must be shielded right along with
00:42:16.880 the child. And so if the mother is broken down by the grueling labor of the field or the factory,
00:42:22.880 the entire next generation is put at risk. And this, this like physical reality aligns perfectly
00:42:28.840 with scripture. Uh, first Peter three, seven, uh, God explicitly commands husbands to show honor to
00:42:35.080 their wives as the weaker vessel. And this phrase, again, it doesn't mean that women are less
00:42:40.940 valuable. It means that they have a physically lighter and more delicate frame. And it's 0.99
00:42:50.100 requiring a husband to act as a protective barrier between his wife and the harsh world. 0.52
00:42:56.220 And so scripture basically establishes that a domestic sphere for a woman is her place,
00:43:05.160 not the factory, not the field, but a woman's true place of safety and authority and ministry
00:43:11.360 is the home. It's the household. And this shouldn't shock us. It was obvious to past 1.00
00:43:20.320 generations that it was written directly into American law under the historical doctrines of
00:43:26.360 necessities, which remained on the books in the United States all the way until the 1970s.
00:43:32.200 a husband was legally and criminally required to provide his wife with shelter, food, and clothing.
00:43:38.300 And the law recognized that the burden of outdoor provisioning belonged strictly to the man.
00:43:46.200 And that there were essentially, this is one thing that's fascinating, there was never a
00:43:51.040 reciprocal law forcing a wife to provide shelter for her husband. No. Women are entirely free
00:43:58.740 to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of God's creation, but their primary domain is the home, 0.99
00:44:06.380 and man's job is to provide a way for her to be glorified in that home. And so the home is where
00:44:15.000 a woman can truly be glorious, using her God-given nature to fulfill her highest calling,
00:44:22.520 uh, including childberry. So when women wholeheartedly embrace this glorious structure,
00:44:30.380 they actually really excel at it. Uh, they produce an environment of love and compassion 0.98
00:44:36.600 and nurture. And I would say when you have a good, healthy home, it, it achieves three very
00:44:43.960 important things. One, it cultivates the next generation of godly people. So, catechizing the
00:44:52.680 kids and homeschooling the kids and teaching the moral realities to little children, such a good 0.97
00:45:00.620 and important reality for women. You're also producing, just from childbirth, great godly 0.96
00:45:05.860 children. Number two, it restores, having this beautiful home, it restores weary men and children
00:45:13.760 returning from their worldly labors. So it's a place, it's a little piece of heaven on earth
00:45:20.040 when you walk into a home that a wife has turned into a beautiful sanctuary. And that's very
00:45:26.840 important for a thriving household. And number three, it provides a place for her to thrive 1.00
00:45:34.800 and have all of her emotional needs through family and relationship and her ability to work
00:45:41.760 within a home on the administrative realities and to find joy in her own work and excelling at that
00:45:51.100 and being appreciated. And so what is more vital work than like homemaking? Think about it honestly
00:46:00.420 with me just for a second. Like what is more important than homemaking? Like there's no
00:46:05.340 more important job than being a homemaker. And I said this like in the last episode, I think,
00:46:10.940 or the one before that. Nations build militaries, not to guard disconnected individuals, but to
00:46:18.260 defend households. Because without the household, the nation dies in a single generation. If there
00:46:23.620 is no more households, after that generation dies, the whole country's gone. C.S. Lewis once 0.94
00:46:29.280 said of homemaking, quote, all other careers exist for one purpose only, and that is to support the
00:46:37.360 ultimate career, end quote. And he's talking about homemaking. We all go to work so that women can
00:46:42.520 stay home. That's, we have wars so that women can stay home. Our entire military battles are to 1.00
00:46:50.240 protect women doing their work inside the home. Just think about that. Our legal systems create 0.99
00:46:56.320 laws specifically to protect people so that we can keep making homes so that the nations can
00:47:01.200 continue on. But when women abandon the home, there is ultimately nothing left to protect. 1.00
00:47:09.560 The domestic sphere is the very engine by which civilization continues. And so if you want to see 1.00
00:47:16.460 a society collapse, you simply look for the moment when women stop making homes, which is precisely 0.99
00:47:23.320 the civilizational crisis that we're in today. And so to rescue our culture, we desperately need 0.51
00:47:30.860 women to catch a vision for the great, glorious, and essential work of being a helper, being a
00:47:37.620 homemaker, being a mother, being a companion. When we can do this, we can restore a glorious
00:47:45.860 Christian family, which in turn will restore a glorious Christian nation. So that's a wrap for
00:47:53.640 this episode of American Glory. I hope that was helpful for you. Now, if you don't already,
00:47:59.180 I'd love for you to follow me on X, Instagram, YouTube.

00:48:26.760 but it's funny.
00:48:28.800 It's not a book about head coverings.
00:48:30.640 It is.
00:48:31.120 I mean, we talk about head coverings,
00:48:32.220 but it's really a book about order between men and women.
00:48:35.440 And I talk heavily about this idea of glory in there.
00:48:38.600 You can listen to the book in the ReLearn app,
00:48:41.120 which you can download in the App Store.

00:48:51.340 Is it permissible?
00:48:52.260 Is it good?

00:48:56.920 So, please join me next week. My name is Dale Partridge. Thank you for watching or listening
00:49:02.800 to American Glory. I'll see you next week.
