00:03:06.420 Now, that demands biblical wisdom, historical perspective, cultural awareness, moral courage,

00:03:11.520 and the clarity to distinguish the passing controversies of the moment from the deeper

00:03:17.000 forces that are reshaping our entire age. Now, nations have eras just like individuals do,

00:03:23.600 but unlike eras of a man's life, national eras don't usually change every few years.

00:03:29.180 They endure for decades, and some people are born, they might live and die within a single

00:03:34.280 historical era. Now, others are born at the edge of one era and live long enough to cross it into

00:03:40.940 another era. And those generations are forced to adapt because the world around them is

00:03:46.840 fundamentally changing in a major way. Now, I believe that I belong to one of those generations.

00:03:52.540 Now, I grew up in the 1990s. I was born in 1985. But what now appears to have been really the

00:03:59.380 closing chapter of old America. Now, it was a nation with, you know, generally high social

00:04:07.380 trust, a strong Christian influence, a largely analog way of life, and confidence that America

00:04:13.300 would generally remain the same in the coming years. Now, I was a freshman in high school in

00:04:18.560 1999, and I didn't own a cell phone at the time. Social media didn't exist. Smartphones had not

00:04:25.320 yet been invented. The internet was a tool, not an environment. But then the ground of the culture

00:04:33.340 began to move. In 2000, the dot-com boom ushered in the information age. And within a generation,

00:04:41.080 nearly every aspect of American life, from commerce and communication and politics to

00:04:46.400 relationships, would be mediated through a screen. Now, this would reshape communication,

00:04:53.020 collapse institutions, democratize basically all information, radicalize individualism,

00:05:01.920 ignite world-altering social discourse and debate, and become basically the battlefield

00:05:07.780 on which most of Americans' ideological warfare would be fought. Now then, in my junior year of

00:05:15.940 high school on September 11th, 2001, the illusion of national peace was shattered, right? Some of

00:05:23.380 my older friends went on into the Middle East to fight Israel's wars. And then a few years later,

00:05:31.720 we saw the Great Recession of 2008, which revealed really the nation's economic instability.

00:05:38.040 Now in 2012, we voted for the very first black Muslim sympathizing president to prove that we

00:05:45.780 weren't racist as a nation. And in 2015, we legalized homosexual marriage and the black

00:05:52.240 president lit up the White House with rainbow colors to show our moral collapse to the entire 0.99

00:05:58.680 world. Then the deliberate flood of mass immigration came in, the relentless propaganda

00:06:04.520 of tolerance and multiculturalism. And then like a fist just to the back of the skull was COVID 0.52

00:06:12.300 in 2020. So we had a year of lockdowns, government tyranny, cities burning, racial bloodshed,

00:06:19.760 institutional trust started to evaporate overnight, and a level of nonstop cultural and moral chaos

00:06:28.080 has erupted that Americans never really imagined, and it's really been continuing to go ever since.

00:06:35.620 Now, because of our tendency toward hyper-normalization, which is really just

00:06:41.020 the gradual acceptance of extraordinary conditions as if they're normal, even though they're totally

00:06:47.540 not. We have become numb. We've become desensitized. And if there's not blood in the

00:06:55.240 streets, many people just dismiss our insane times. They say things like, oh, every generation

00:07:01.260 thinks that they're living through the end of the world, or it's not that bad, right? The World

00:07:06.060 War II generation endured far worse. Honestly, I just disagree. Not because the people of the

00:07:13.120 1940s didn't endure tremendous suffering. They did. But because we're fighting a fundamentally

00:07:19.320 different kind of war. The kind of wars of the 20th century were fought primarily against

00:07:26.920 foreign enemies. Today's conflict is between domestic enemies. The fault lines are not

00:07:33.460 running through foreign lands, but through your own neighborhoods, through your own institutions,

00:07:39.040 through your own churches, through your own political parties, even through your own families.

00:07:43.840 Okay, the battle isn't over like trade routes or like socioeconomic matters, right? It's over

00:07:48.780 national identity, morality, religion, the future of this nation. Now, looking back,

00:07:56.980 it seems clear that this series of events from, say, 2000 to the present were kind of like a

00:08:04.940 chain of historical explosions or like detonations that accelerated America into what is truly like

00:08:11.940 a Cold War of identity politics. Now, to me, it's been like watching a fuse burn toward

00:08:20.100 like a powder keg that's about to explode. Every year is like another spark. Every crisis is like

00:08:26.460 another inch. And groups are forming, right? Supplies are being gathered. Alliances are being

00:08:33.240 forged. Positions are being taken. The shooting has not yet begun, right? It's a cold war. It's

00:08:39.500 not a hot war yet, right? But everyone knows that American peace is like slipping away.

00:08:46.120 Now, even the Republican Party is no longer like a unified coalition, right? Israel has divided 0.57

00:08:51.420 the neocons from the America First movement. Christian nationalism has divided itself 0.67

00:08:56.280 from the secular conservative party. Whites are, you know, warring against blacks. We have blacks 0.99

00:09:02.800 warring against whites. We have Zoomers that are ready to destroy the boomers and boomers don't 1.00

00:09:07.560 understand this. Feminists are hating patriarchs and Christians are looking to outlaw Islam and 1.00

00:09:12.420 Hinduism. The polarity is expanding and it's going fast. And this division doesn't always 0.98

00:09:21.300 remain outside of the walls of the church. So the same fragmentation that's occurring in the

00:09:28.140 culture is actually occurring across nearly every major denomination, right? The PCA and the OPC

00:09:33.620 are fighting over Christian nationalism. The CREC is fighting over race in Israel.

00:09:39.860 The LCMS and the ACNA are trying to not be swallowed up by feminists. The Pope is calling for

00:09:47.060 Europeans to love foreigners while foreigners are killing Europeans. Eastern Orthodoxy is 0.98

00:09:53.020 swooping up Western sons while we're weak and aiming to make us essentially hate our Western 0.96

00:10:00.120 heritage and forefathers. Then you add to this like the AI tidal wave, and we face this kind

00:10:07.440 of greater uncertainty for jobs. You add the kind of Islamic invasion, Dearborn, Michigan, 1.00

00:10:13.140 and all that, then the millions of Hindus and the H-1B visas that are coming in. And you begin to 0.99

00:10:18.420 start to see this national theft that's occurring. Then you add black crime and OnlyFans and the 1.00

00:10:25.640 plummeting birth rates. And then the panic starts to set in if you start making sense of it. You 1.00

00:10:30.760 wake up to kind of the Jewish subversion, Israel, Zionism controlling our government. And it feels 0.91

00:11:58.260 Now, the central duties of a pastor are to shepherd, not merely to teach timeless biblical

00:12:08.360 truths, to shepherd them through the scriptures, but faithfully apply those scriptures to the

00:12:13.220 present moment, okay, to help their flock navigate the times with a Christian worldview.

00:12:19.820 And that raises the unavoidable question, does your pastor do this? Does your pastor

00:12:26.200 know what time it is. Because a shepherd who mistakes wartime for peacetime will emphasize

00:12:33.580 the wrong virtues, ignore the wrong dangers, and leave his flock basically unprepared for what's

00:12:41.240 coming. And I've seen this. I've seen lots of pastors that are still thinking, especially in

00:12:45.660 the Reformed world, they still think it's 2014 or 2016. They don't understand that the times

00:12:52.160 have fundamentally changed. We have to remember that culture is always downstream from the church

00:12:58.700 because morality is downstream from theology and theology is downstream from scripture.

00:13:05.540 Okay. So every political position eventually rests upon a moral claim and every moral claim

00:13:11.000 rests upon a theological claim. And every theological claim must ultimately answer to

00:13:15.520 the word of God. I once heard a quote that went something like this. Every philosopher,

00:13:23.540 scientist, and politician spends his life climbing the mountain of knowledge only to discover upon

00:13:29.660 reaching the top, a theologian waiting for him with a beer in hand. And I like that. I think

00:13:35.180 that's true. I think you start climbing up and you realize that all the answers really are in

00:13:40.840 the word of God, the scriptures, the Bible. And so that means the primary war is not first

00:13:48.180 in Congress or the White House or the courts. It's in the pulpits. It's in the pulpits, right?

00:13:55.680 Pagans can't fix America, okay? Atheists have no answers for fixing America. Every solution that 1.00

00:14:02.960 does not stem from God's word is going to stem from man's word, from man's emotions, from man's

00:14:08.200 ideas, okay? Now, not every pastor is called to be a politically engaged theologian who labors in

00:14:16.120 both the church and the state. In fact, I would say that I don't believe that that is even the

00:14:21.220 ideal. I don't believe that the black robe regiment of the American Revolution should be 0.99

00:14:26.440 the ordinary model for ministry, nor do I think it's generally desirable for pastors to serve

00:14:32.560 as political actors. You know, I think about, what's his name, Witherspoon, who was a Presbyterian

00:14:39.340 minister, and he signed the Declaration of Independence. So he was obviously, you know,

00:14:45.440 politically engaged. But I would say this, extraordinary times often require extraordinary

00:14:51.260 measures. And I believe that we are living in uniquely wicked, immoral times. Now, in an age

00:14:58.700 when many of our most prominent Christian statesmen lack basic theological depth.

00:15:06.520 Pastors have to step in and fill the gap. Their task is not to become politicians,

00:15:12.120 but to encourage our existing politicians in the truth, and more than that, form future

00:15:18.600 politicians from within their own congregations. So if pastors neglect the theological formation

00:15:25.380 of future civic leaders. They shouldn't be surprised when the nation is led by

00:15:30.020 women and foreigners and fools. And what I mean by that is that we are reaping what we have sown. 1.00

00:15:36.620 We spent generations producing theologically weak and politically illiterate Christian men, 0.97

00:15:42.100 and now we're governed by theologically weak and politically illiterate Christian politicians. 1.00

00:15:48.220 Okay? This is the problem. Now, remember, a separation of church and state does not mean 1.00

00:15:55.980 a separation of church from God, or sorry, a separation of state from God. It doesn't also

00:16:01.920 mean a separation of church from statesmen. Okay? It is the pastor's duty to preach the

00:16:08.340 word of God to every area of life, including politics and cultural issues. I actually have

00:16:14.400 a really great book. It's sitting right over here on my desk. It's political sermons from the

00:16:21.860 American founding era. And it just shows that throughout church history, we have, especially

00:16:27.240 in high impact political times, wars around the revolution, around the civil war, around World

00:16:34.400 War I, you have political sermons because you're shepherding the people of God through the elephant

00:16:40.780 in the room. And that's very important to do. Now, if pastors can't answer the great moral

00:16:46.620 questions of our age from scripture, then nobody can. Okay. If you can't have the answer,

00:16:52.960 you're sending your flock to someone else to get those answers. And they're probably not going to

00:16:59.160 be aligned with a biblical worldview. And so politics can enforce moral order, right? We know

00:17:10.140 that. Politics can enforce moral order. But what it can't do is create a moral order. Okay. Again,

00:17:19.060 laws follow morality and morality follows theology. And so, yeah, you can legislate and you should

00:17:27.100 legislate laws that stop evil, but you need to make sure that those laws are really built off

00:17:32.820 of morality, which is built off theology, which is built off of scripture. And so this is why I

00:17:38.820 the first responsibility in America's present conflict rests with her pastors. But no one can

00:17:47.480 fight a war without first identifying the enemy. So in this episode, what I want to do is I want

00:17:52.920 to examine what I believe are the four greatest moral threats facing America today. I also want

00:18:01.540 to really share about how our church is seeking to resist those threats and show you how to identify

00:18:11.220 a wartime church and a wartime pastor and what to do if you can't find one near you. And so

00:18:18.120 if you don't know, I pastor Kingsway Reformed Church in Prescott, Arizona. We're small,

00:18:24.380 we're faithful. Prescott is, you know, when you think about Arizona, people think of cactuses,

00:18:29.760 but we sit at about 5,000 feet in the high desert, pine trees, open plains, highly conservative,

00:18:36.740 mostly older white community. Our congregation, however, is largely under 40, the age of 40.

00:18:44.240 And I mentioned that for a reason, right? Thomas Paine once said, 1.00

00:18:47.360 never trust anyone over the age of 40 in a revolution. And I remember the first time I 0.95

00:18:53.040 heard that and I thought, wow, that actually has lined up and proven to be true in our own church.

00:19:00.000 Now, you know, obviously it's clinical evidence, but we would love older families. But every time

00:19:06.280 we get them, they eventually leave after being offended when we preach against one of these

00:19:11.900 four threats. So these four threats are feminism, Zionism, globalism, and cowardice. Okay. Those

00:19:21.620 are the threats, feminism, Zionism, globalism, and cowardice. Now I get it. There are lots of 0.78

00:19:27.960 other issues, abortion, Islam, pornography, homosexuality, all of these things are very

00:19:31.700 serious. But from my perspective, those are all downstream consequences of one of these four macro 0.63

00:19:38.920 issues. And so let me just briefly walk through each one of these issues. And I want to explain

00:19:45.460 how I believe faithful churches should respond to them, and then show basically you why I believe

00:19:54.660 that it's increasingly important for Christians to find a church that is prepared for this kind

00:20:01.260 of national moment. So let's go ahead and begin with feminism. When you think about feminism, 1.00

00:20:08.080 immodesty, pornography, collapsing birth rates, family breakdown, emasculated men,

00:20:14.220 delayed or abandoned marriage, abortion, suicide, male and female depression, economic deceleration,

00:20:21.240 sexual chaos, you know, reduced civilizational confidence, institutional, political, and national

00:20:28.460 softening. All of these things are connected to feminism. In fact, feminism is quite possibly 1.00

00:20:34.980 the most powerful force of evil on the earth today. And at its root, feminism is, again, 1.00

00:20:42.140 a theological reality. It flows from God's curse on the woman in Genesis 3, chapter 16. Now, God is 0.91

00:20:49.500 in this passage of scripture, he's cursing the serpent, he's cursing man, earth, and woman. And

00:20:54.980 he says to the woman, quote, I will surely multiply your pain and childbearing. In pain, you shall 0.99

00:21:00.380 bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you, end quote.

00:21:06.880 In other words, sin would cause women to have a desire to dominate and to usurp the authority 1.00

00:21:15.880 of their husbands, the authority that was ordered prior to sin, but sin entered in the chaos and 1.00

00:21:24.040 perversion between the sexes. And one of the most effective ways for women to do that is simply to 1.00

00:21:31.260 never get married at all, which is unfortunate because the partial cure to this particular

00:21:37.100 dimension of the curse is mentioned in 1 Timothy 2, verse 15, when Paul says,

00:21:43.820 but women will be saved through childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness

00:21:50.960 with propriety. In other words, when women have children, to some degree, it restrains a woman's 0.80

00:21:58.260 desire to dominate her husband and remain insubordinate. And so today, we live in an 0.99

00:22:07.020 epidemic of single, skanky, contraceptive, popping women who have fully embraced the curse 1.00

00:22:14.280 and rejected the cure. And ultimately, feminism does what? Well, it sells liberation. But liberation 1.00

00:22:22.320 from what? Well, from marriage, from motherhood, from homemaking, from submission, from being

00:22:28.460 called a helper. Okay. For millennia, that impulse was restrained by patriarchy. Some of it good,

00:22:36.260 some of it bad. And that restraint has now been weakened by a variety of causes that we don't

00:22:42.260 have time to talk about today. But feminism is not just outside of the church. Okay. Women 1.00

00:22:48.980 in the church, what I call clean feminism or Christian feminism, you will see this tendency 1.00

00:22:55.500 everywhere. Okay, women are the least pastored demographic in the American congregation. 1.00

00:23:02.380 Unfortunately, most men are terrified to correct women. And as a result, they refuse to shepherd

00:23:09.020 them. And instead, what they do is they hand the women's Bible study over to the most assertive

00:23:15.840 woman in the room. And they ignore things like immodesty, even if it caused their own flock to 0.70

00:23:21.940 stumble. They tolerate gossip and disrespect because they know that women so often split

00:23:31.140 churches. They cause church splits. And it's wicked cowardice, which we'll get to later. 1.00

00:23:37.060 Now, at our church, we have great and godly women at our church. But in order to preserve that

00:23:44.040 and to help disciple these wives in biblical femininity 0.55

00:23:48.140 and to cultivate it also into our daughters,

00:23:51.340 we've done a few things.

00:23:52.980 And I think these things are just basically historic things.

00:23:56.480 In fact, I would say that all of church history

00:23:58.400 for literally thousands of years did these types of things.

00:24:02.640 And so we formally hold to the doctrines

00:24:04.920 of biblical patriarchy.

00:24:06.560 We expect that our families understand what that means.

00:24:11.000 We explain that.

00:24:12.080 and we hope and work with them to live those principles out. And this is not just patriarchy,

00:24:18.100 it's biblical patriarchy. And this applies not only to spiritual life, but to every area of life.

00:24:23.760 Now our church is openly, this is another big thing, our church is openly supportive

00:24:28.100 of repealing the 19th Amendment. In fact, the New York Times actually just came out to our church

00:24:34.760 earlier this year for a few days, actually, did photos, did a whole thing, wrote an article on us

00:24:41.300 titled, quote, the women who believe women should lose the right to vote. So second, we've, we have

00:24:51.120 male pastors lead all women's Bible studies and the women love it. Okay. Like why would you want

00:24:57.640 Becky when you could have one of the pastors or the senior pastor who went to seminary and spent

00:25:03.860 40 hours a week in the scriptures? Like, why would you want Becky? Like have, have the guy that's

00:25:09.820 coming there to actually preach theology who knows theology, right? Third, we do not apologize

00:25:16.900 for instructing women in joyful submission to their husbands. We preach it through the pulpit

00:25:22.820 when it's natural. When we get to those passages of scripture, we remind women when it's appropriate. 0.99

00:25:27.620 We also encourage men to love their wives and love them well. Now, the fourth thing that we do

00:25:34.100 is many of our women wear head coverings. If you're unfamiliar with that practice,

00:25:38.800 I've written a book defending the doctrine called A Cover for Glory. But in short,

00:25:44.480 basically head covering is an outward symbol of the biblical doctrine of headship

00:25:49.680 seen in 1 Corinthians chapter 11. So again, we have head symbols to reflect the doctrine of

00:25:56.280 headship. And if you want to read 1 Corinthians chapter 11, you can do that. You can also pick

00:26:02.160 up a copy of my book if you want to learn more about that. Now, the fifth thing is that we

00:26:06.660 maintain a dress code. Now, again, our ladies are beautiful. They are modest. I don't know if we've 0.99

00:26:12.440 ever had to enforce a dress code with any of our women ever. But anyone who arrives, say, outside 0.99

00:26:18.460 as a guest, outside of our dress code, would be asked to cover up or be sent home if they were

00:26:27.020 outside of the dress code. And sure, they would certainly be invited to return the following week

00:26:31.580 properly dressed. But in other words, nobody is wearing leggings or short dresses that are

00:26:40.980 revealing or having their chest hanging out at Kingsway. And we do that because it not only

00:26:48.080 guards the women who should not be dressing that way because they need to have a more dignified

00:26:54.920 understanding of their own body and the worth of their own value. Things that are valuable,

00:27:00.720 we put like guards around them, right? Like if you have a diamond, you don't go throw it out on

00:27:04.780 the picnic bench. You put it in a safe. You know, you have a fence around your house. You have

00:27:10.360 walls around your family. We guard that which is precious to us. And so when you have women

00:27:19.180 who don't understand that, they don't realize their bodies are precious, made for a particular

00:27:24.580 purpose, made for the eyes of their husbands. When they don't understand, they actually like

00:27:30.060 are putting the diamond out on the, you know, the park bench. And they're like letting everybody

00:27:35.860 have access to it and take a piece of it that they should not be giving away. And it also protects

00:27:42.960 our young girls from seeing an example that we don't want to be replicated. And of course,

00:27:50.060 it protects the men from the temptation to, you know, lust. And so there's a whole variety of

00:27:56.740 reasons. And if you go to Europe, like go try to walk into one of the cathedrals dressed like a

00:28:04.300 Western skank. You're not getting in. There are dress codes at these places. And I think every 1.00

00:28:08.940 church should have a dress code and should enforce it. Okay. The second we need to talk about is

00:28:14.820 Zionism. Okay. Again, if you're, if you watched my previous episodes on dispensationalism and 0.89

00:28:19.820 Zionism, you already understand the threat. Okay. If you haven't, I do recommend you just go back 0.98

00:28:25.620 and listen or watch those episodes. America is being deeply divided and eroded by the nation

00:28:34.200 of Israel. And that division, as I said earlier, is not primarily political. It's actually theological. 0.96

00:28:40.460 It flows from the doctrine of dispensationalism. And basically, one group of Christians believe

00:28:46.380 the promises of the Old Testament still belong to the modern Israel. Another group believes

00:28:54.180 those promises belong to the church, the true Israel, made up of both Jewish and Gentile

00:29:00.340 believers that are in Christ. Now, Zionism is related but distinct from dispensationalism,

00:29:06.520 right? Dispensationalism has kind of nurtured Christian Zionism as a new category and has

00:38:53.380 Old Testament until it was destroyed in 70 AD for rejecting the Messiah.

00:38:59.900 Now, we're not required to copy Old Testament Israel's every national detail, yet we can and

00:39:07.700 should learn from its principles. Israel was certainly defined by those four markers, right?

00:40:33.760 whether you're President Trump himself, whether you're the European Union. We just watched

00:40:39.000 all the people from Morocco flood into the city of Spain. 0.95

00:40:45.480 and these are biblical issues. The Bible has answers for these things. So at Kingsway,

00:40:54.460 we operate in the realm of the church, not the state. So anyone who believes in Jesus Christ

00:41:01.800 is welcome to come to our church, right? So we are nationalists, of course, but we also believe

00:41:07.440 that in the church, we're not the state. And so we bring people and we do find our oneness in Christ

00:41:13.620 there. And I've talked about this, you know, in my series on race and nationalism. But at the same

00:41:21.500 time, we preach against globalistic effects like race egalitarianism or the Gnostic impulse that

00:41:30.740 wants to spiritualize everything and erase ethnic distinctions. You know, like we're all just

00:41:37.440 Christian and like our ethnicities don't matter anymore. Like that's, we preach against that

00:41:43.140 stuff. We preach in support of Christian nationalism, which is both Christian and

00:41:48.440 nationalistic. Again, I mentioned I did a recent study, a six-part series through Genesis 9-11

00:41:56.480 titled Race, Nations, and Christian Nationalism. And I did this, by the way, not because I just

00:42:00.940 chose 9-11. I've been preaching through Genesis since December of 25. And so to be honest,

00:42:09.800 this has been one of the more difficult subjects to address in our church. And I think at any

00:42:17.500 church, race and ethnicity are extremely sensitive topics. And we have many Christian friends from

00:42:24.720 other races and nations. Like I have lots of friends from different places that I love that

00:42:29.880 are in Christ. But the larger picture of nationalism still has to be preached to this

00:42:36.720 generation. And we have to restore the proper biblical order and understanding for America and

00:42:42.260 the West. Because order brings peace. And peace is one of the fruits of the Spirit. I mean,

00:42:48.420 Jesus is literally the Prince of Peace. So I'll end there, but on that particular point.

00:42:54.900 The last threat I want to talk about in the church is, it's not external, it's internal.

00:43:01.260 Cowardice. Okay. Scripture says in Revelation 21, eight quote, but as for the cowardly,

00:43:07.460 the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral,

00:43:14.380 sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire 0.98

00:43:20.680 and sulfur, which is the second death, end quote. So I want you to catch something. 0.96

00:43:26.480 Um, scripture places cowardness or cowardice, uh, in the same category of depravity as murderer

00:43:35.680 and sorcery and sexual immorality, right? So to fear man more than God is wicked. Okay. To refuse

00:43:45.400 to be hated by the world is wicked. And what that means is that to stay silent, you know,

00:43:53.540 about your employer's pronoun policy. That's wicked. To make transgender activists comfortable 0.59

00:44:01.360 while they're reading to children in the library, it's detestable. Okay, to refuse to call ICE on 0.98

00:44:07.960 illegal migrant, you know, people that are working in your neighborhood because you don't want the

00:44:13.700 social cost, that's cowardice. To let your wife lead the home because you can't deal with her 1.00

00:44:21.620 attitude, that's abdication. It's cowardice. And all of this really comes down to the same root, 0.95

00:44:28.280 which is the fear of man. And what I want American Christian men to understand is that your ancestors

00:44:33.860 were a hundred times more radical than you are. Okay. They fought off Muslims with swords and

00:44:40.160 they stuck their bodies on spikes to warn others. Okay. They crossed oceans to Christianize pagan 0.97

00:44:46.180 lands filled with witch doctors and human sacrifice. They settled territories filled 0.98

00:44:51.960 with barbarians who scalped their wives and their children. And then they slaughtered those people 0.99

00:45:03.380 in Europe over a different view of communion and salvation. They went to war in the American

00:45:10.180 revolution with the strongest empire on earth over a 3% tax increase on tea. Okay. They killed

00:45:22.060 because you are not radical for telling women to stop dressing like whores or that Islam should be 0.99

00:45:29.360 outlawed in the West. Like you're not extreme for wanting Hindus and their demon gods to leave our 1.00

00:45:35.500 nation. You're not a bigot for wanting to repeal the 19th amendment and to see feminism die in 0.99

00:45:41.940 this nation. You're not harsh for calling homosexuality perverse or disgusting. You're 0.95

00:45:47.240 not a racist for wanting a nation that's built on blood and soil. These are in fact, moderate

00:45:54.480 desires of gentle Christian men throughout history. The truth is, if you want to restore

00:46:02.640 America to a Christian nation or any nation, you have to become far more intense, far more extreme, 0.88

00:46:09.920 far more clear, far more righteous, far more committed to Christ. This is the only way forward. 0.82

00:46:15.020 And ultimately, America is filled with cowards. The church is filled with cowards. The pulpits 1.00

00:46:21.260 are filled with cowards. The Bible calls these men hirelings. They're people who do it for the 1.00

00:46:27.020 money and not for the ministry. And you have to remember that it's difficult to preach something

00:46:33.580 when your salary depends on you not preaching it. And that is extremely common in the church today.

00:46:40.220 And when these men finally do speak against the evils of the day, they do it like five years too

00:46:45.580 late. Like after the Overton window has already shifted and the risk is completely gone. Like

00:46:51.600 condemning homosexuality today is like a low risk deal, okay? Doing it in 2015 required a degree of

00:46:59.060 courage. Okay, condemning race egalitarianism will probably be safer in five to 10 years, but today

00:47:05.640 it's dangerous. And many of today's pastors are the ones who show up after the real fight is over.

00:47:12.620 The brave men, you know, that struck the first blows against the dragon, you know, they're there. 0.67

00:47:18.920 Then the cowards arrive after, like the hyenas, okay?

00:47:23.240 And once the dragon's already down, they stab the corpse, and then they make a post on X

00:47:28.900 about it to try to look heroic.

00:47:31.060 It's the same pattern as those who basically started condemning Fauci and COVID, the COVID

00:47:37.360 vaccines, after all the data was already public and the danger of speaking about it had already

00:47:43.660 passed.

00:47:48.260 He said, quote, most people are cowards, so they appoint centrists as heroes in order to make

00:47:54.960 themselves feel brave, end quote. And you know, I'm not a centrist. I don't think Joel is much

00:48:02.260 of a centrist. I don't think that we're actually extreme though. I think we're to the right for

00:48:08.080 sure. I can't tell you how many people like think that I'm extreme. I mean, you know, I always get,

00:48:14.320 I'm too harsh, or too intense, or too arrogant. I have drawers back here of hate mail. Our church

00:48:23.880 voicemail is filled with vitriol. People have left our congregation over every single one of

00:48:31.340 these threats. And we have crazy reviews that we have to get removed on our Google page.

00:48:36.200 And people get mad at us not because we're soft on the gospel, not because we teach heresy,

00:48:43.500 not because we're walking in unrepentant sin. We love the gospel. We preach it every single

00:48:48.680 Sunday. We go verse by verse through the scriptures. We do counseling. We do worship.

00:48:54.220 We do hymns. We do liturgy. We do all of these things. But they're leaving these things because

00:49:01.180 we're addressing the issues that are extremely difficult and sensitive topics, and they fear

00:49:08.680 men more than they fear the Lord. They fear, they don't understand that these are all normal

00:49:14.600 positions from everyone like a hundred to 120 years ago. GK Chesterton, he once said,

00:49:22.560 quote, every generation is saved by a handful of men and women who have the courage to be out of

00:49:29.460 date, end quote. And that's me. Okay. I'm out of date. I often tell people that I'm not a Nazi.

00:49:41.960 I'm not even like an extremist throughout most of history.

00:51:04.400 Henry because he believed in the curse of Ham. William Gouge for his view on patriarchy. The

00:51:09.640 Puritans on their views of witchcraft and feminism. And so right now, there are a few, if any,

00:51:17.980 denominations that are safe for historic Christianity. But this leads us into the

00:51:25.220 final question. What should you do as a Christian to find a wartime church that will lead you

00:51:31.660 spiritually and morally through this extremely difficult time before us. Now, first,

00:51:39.120 if your pastor does not see feminism or Zionism or globalism as serious threats to the average

00:51:45.600 American, then one of two things are happening. Either he is not a good shepherd because he's

00:51:53.100 blind to the wolves at the gate, or he's a coward who refuses to name them. And there is nothing 0.98

00:52:00.640 more demoralizing to a church member than realizing that you are ahead of your own pastor

00:52:06.880 in moral vigilance and in applying the Christian worldview to the actual dangers of our time.

00:52:14.260 It's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to turn a pastor like this around. Now that said,

00:52:21.560 have a few honest conversations, not just one, more than one. Pray for wisdom. Try to understand

00:52:29.240 where he actually stands. But if it becomes clear that he views you as extreme when you're simply

00:52:37.940 just trying to be faithful and clear-eyed, then it's time to respectfully move on. And do it

00:52:44.720 orderly. Don't gossip. Don't dishonor him. Go in good faith. But this is, you know, if your church

00:52:54.940 is like closed for COVID, didn't celebrate when Roe v. Wade was overturned, didn't mention Charlie

00:53:02.580 Kirk, doesn't talk about any of these things. Like this, these aren't good signs. This is one

00:53:08.760 of the main reasons many men have stopped going to church altogether, right? They're like stuck

00:53:14.920 under these cowardly pastors and they can't find a courageous church nearby and they can't easily 0.97

00:53:22.080 relocate. So they just quietly drop out and they don't want to go to a church and like wave, you 0.80

00:53:28.160 know, sway their hips to Jesus and sing these like emotional songs with women worship leaders. 0.94

00:53:33.340 And that's a tragedy. Okay. And I actually don't recommend that. All things considered, 0.92

00:53:38.620 it's still better to remain in a weak church than to have no church at all. I will say that. Okay.

00:53:44.660 So I will say if you have nowhere else to go, then you should stay. But if you're able to move

00:53:50.440 somewhere else locally, or you're able to relocate, I believe you should. We already

00:53:55.000 moved for jobs. We moved for family. We moved for better geography. We should also be willing to

00:54:01.380 move for a faithful church. In fact, I would say 80% of our church has relocated from other states

00:54:08.380 or countries to be at our church. That's real. I'm going to, you know, we'll talk about that in

00:54:14.740 our next episode. But this is, again, the beginnings of a bigger conversation

00:54:21.400 that we should talk about on Christian boroughs or Christian colonies. Places where families can

00:54:28.320 lock arms, lock in for multi-generations, plant themselves long-term, build something durable.

00:54:35.380 And to do that, you need a strong church with strong theology,

00:54:38.440 you know, confessionalism rooted down to historic Christianity, not some random non-denom

00:54:45.260 situation. You want confessionalism. And a community of like serious believers,

00:54:54.700 a solid classical Christian school for your children. And so I'll close this episode

00:56:02.380 Now, precatory prayers are prayers that basically ask God to bring judgment, calamity, curses

00:56:08.680 down upon a person's enemies of those who are doing great evil.

00:56:37.660 is the addition of an imprecatory section to every single pastoral prayer. It changes week to week,

00:56:45.500 but each week we are praying for God to curse, oppose, and destroy someone in particular, 0.86

00:56:52.120 whether that be abortionists in our area, wicked persecutors of the church, or other evildoers. 0.62

00:56:59.160 God's people need to know how to curse as the scriptures curse.

00:57:04.460 In fact, you can't even probably understand divine mercy if you don't understand divine

00:57:12.560 This is also one way to protect the people from sinfully seeking personal vengeance when
