00:00:55.360 merely that a woman cannot, or I'm sorry, should not preach, but that she could preach, she's just

00:01:00.340 not allowed? Or do these things actually coincide, ability and allowance? So, I've written the

00:01:07.360 following. Complementarianism and antinomianism have this in common. They both subtly assert that

00:01:14.840 God's loving commands, duties, and roles are at least partially arbitrary by severing the

00:01:21.740 relationship between what God assigns from how God designs. They malign the character of God,

00:01:29.660 albeit perhaps unintentionally, as capricious. A woman should not preach because she cannot

00:01:37.060 preach. The fact that many complementarians believe a woman is able but merely not allowed

00:01:43.680 reveals a profound misunderstanding within even conservative churches regarding the nature of

00:01:50.660 men and women and the nature of preaching. Women nurture and give life. Many, even in the Reformed
