00:00:00.000 All right, listen, guys, I get it.
00:00:01.900 Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your
00:00:05.900 cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
00:00:10.740 Praise God for you and that endeavor.
00:00:13.860 However, algorithms are a thing.
00:00:16.380 Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
00:00:19.000 And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry
00:00:24.160 that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five-star
00:00:29.980 review. Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
00:00:36.560 We hope you'll take the time to do so. Thank you so much. God bless.
00:00:42.340 Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of
00:00:47.440 God. You're listening to Daily Truth. Matthew Henry says the following. Some of the Israelites
00:00:56.440 that passed over Jordan perhaps were stupid, silly,
00:01:01.760 and so little affected with this great favor,
00:01:05.200 this miraculous sign of God to them
00:01:08.020 that they felt no concern to have it remembered.
00:01:12.160 While others, in contrast, it may be,
00:01:16.300 were so much affected with this miracle,
00:01:19.400 the parting of the Jordan River,
00:01:21.360 so much affected with it,
00:01:23.100 and had such deep impressions made upon them by it
00:01:27.060 that they thought there needed no memorial of it to be erected.
00:01:31.500 The heart and tongue of every Israelite and every age
00:01:35.320 would be a living, lasting monument of it.
00:01:39.280 So on the one hand, stopping here for a moment in this quote from Matthew Henry,
00:01:43.420 on the one hand, it was probably very likely
00:01:47.260 that at least some of the people of Israel were unimpressed.
00:01:51.420 And they should have been impressed. It's a miraculous sign.
00:01:55.780 And yet, miraculous signs have always been dismissed, waved away by unbelieving people.
00:02:05.620 And we know that there were many in Israel that were a part of God's covenant people outwardly.
00:02:12.840 They were children of Israel according to the flesh, but they were not true children of Israel.
00:02:20.200 the true seed of Jacob according to the promise that they were not spiritual Israel because their
00:02:27.800 hearts were hardened in unbelief and for those who disbelieve in the promises of God and the
00:02:35.740 commandments of God there are always ways of taking even blatant and obvious signs and wonders
00:02:44.260 of God and dismissing them as merely natural phenomenon or practical occurrences. And there
00:02:52.880 were probably some in Israel that attempted to do this, that because of unbelief and rebellion,
00:03:00.060 their hearts were hardened against God, and therefore they immediately probably sought
00:03:06.860 certain practical, physical, natural explanations to dismiss this as a miracle.
00:03:14.260 On the other hand, there were likely very many in Israel who thought that this miracle was
00:03:19.320 so clearly the hand of God at work, so clearly a supernatural work of God, that they likely
00:03:26.940 thought there was no need to erect a monument, a memorial, that surely everyone would remember
00:03:34.760 this because it was so miraculous, and that merely the memory, living memory of the people
00:03:41.700 of Israel throughout different ages and generations and by oral tradition, by their own tongue and
00:03:47.620 mouth and sharing what God had done, that that would be sufficient to remember this miraculous
00:03:52.900 sign forever. Going on now in the quote from Matthew Henry, he says this, but God, knowing
00:03:59.840 their frame and how apt they had been soon to forget his works, ordered an expedient for the
00:04:07.680 keeping of this in remembrance to all generations, that those who could not or perhaps would not
00:04:15.100 read the record of it in the sacred history books of Israel, that they might come to the knowledge
00:04:21.520 of it by the monument set up in remembrance of it. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're going to want to hear
00:04:27.360 this. Our next two conferences are coming up quick. We've got first our fall conference. This
00:04:32.900 is november 11th and 12th that's a full day saturday and a holdover for the lord's day

00:05:11.760 biblical patriarchy. We're going to be talking about marriage and parenting, how to keep your
00:05:16.580 kids, how to shape and form them like straight arrows, like sharp arrows that do damage to the
00:05:23.200 kingdom of darkness, training our children in the fear and ammunition of the Lord. A full day on

00:06:06.320 Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0.
00:06:09.040 We don't wanna revert back to Chrysidom 1.0,
00:06:12.220 although it would certainly be a whole lot better
00:06:14.800 than the clown world that we're currently living in,
00:06:17.640 but we recognize despite the phenomenal features
00:06:20.940 of a prior Chrysidom,
00:06:22.600 there were certain bugs that we'd like to see worked out. So we're not going back. We are
00:06:27.640 pushing forward to Christendom 2.0. We believe that the blueprints are seven doctrines for ruling
00:06:35.200 the world righteously. What are these seven doctrines? Well, it's reformed confessionalism,
00:06:41.340 it's covenant theology, it's biblical patriarchy, it's presuppositionalism and Kuyperianism and
00:06:48.780 general equity theonomy and hopeful eschatology post-millennialism who's going to be teaching us
00:06:55.560 on these doctrines voldemort he who must not be named pastor douglas wilson himself you also got

00:07:32.020 It's Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0. We've got the early bird rate going right now,
00:07:38.140 but it will run out quickly. So go to rightresponseconference.com,

00:07:47.100 Can I be frank with you for just a second, right here at the end? Look, some of you guys,
00:07:52.120 you're financially supporting this ministry, and from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. I
00:07:57.360 cannot thank you enough. However, some of you, you just, you can't afford it. In fact, some of you,
00:08:04.740 you shouldn't afford it. Let's be honest. I mean, we're living in Joe Biden's ridiculous economy.
00:08:11.420 Our nation and our totalitarian political elites lost their minds over the last three years
00:08:19.560 due to COVID. We have written checks that we simply cannot cash. It doesn't matter if people
00:08:26.500 change the definition of a recession. We are living in a recession right now regardless.
00:08:33.400 Some of you are struggling to afford a carton of eggs at the grocery store. You cannot support
00:08:39.700 financially this ministry at this time, nor should you, but you could still help us tremendously.
00:08:46.940 I am asking you, please, if you're willing to do so, take one minute of your time. Leave us a
00:08:53.620 five-star review on your favorite podcast platform, iTunes, Spotify, whatever that might be.
00:09:00.340 This is the way the system works. We want to be innocent as doves, but shrewd as vipers.
00:09:06.240 We need to be strategic.
00:09:08.500 You leave us a five-star review, and our podcast shows up for more people.
00:09:13.460 And the Word of God and courageous theology applied in practical ways to every realm of
00:09:20.220 life gets out there.
00:09:22.300 Help us get it out there.
00:09:24.000 Thanks for tuning in.
